Pope Francis on Frantic Quest to Unite All Religions under Rome - http://www.nowtheendbegins.com/blog/?p=22485
The Pope is working to combine all religions into one
"And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration." Revelation 17:6
Pope Francis is a man on a mission to fulfill bible prophecy, and he is getting more done than any other Pope in the last 100 years. Pope Francis is here to make some serious and drastic changes not only in the Catholic Vatican system, in the professing Christianity as well. He is creating the One World Religion.
The bible, in Revelation 17 and 18, talks about a harlot church that rules the spiritual world. She is wealthy beyond description, and all the kings and mighty men of the earth want to be in a spiritual bed with her. The bible says that she is a city that "sitteth on seven hills", and is "drunk with the blood of the saints". This can only be one system, one place, one church - the Roman Catholic Church whose Vatican headquarters sits on the famed Seven Hills in Rome.
Pope Francis's call for unity goes beyond the Christian community. During his recent visit to the Middle East, Francis invited Israeli Jewish and Muslim leaders to join him in prayer for peace for their region at the Vatican this Sunday. Israel's Chief of State Shimon Peres and Palestinian President Abu Mazen will be joined by a delegation of rabbis, Islamic imams, and Israeli Druze community leaders, according to news reports.
This week, not only did Pope Francis hold ecumenical services in the Vatican where he prayed to the moon god of Islam, Allah, he also held high level meetings with megachurch pastor Joel Osteen and US Senator Mike Lee who was there to represent the Mormon church. The actors have taken the stage, with more still arriving, in the unfolding of what will one day soon be the wildest bible prophecy ever told - the Great Tribulation.
Joel Osteen was enthralled with the fact that Pope Francis is so inclusive:
""I like the fact that this pope is trying to make the church larger, not smaller. He's not pushing people out but making the church more inclusive. That resonated with me," Osteen told the Houston Chronicle.
.
The Christian Post reports that according to Westmont College, Francis had invited more than a dozen "North American Protestant leaders" to discuss the question: "Can we find common ground in order to advance the life and ministry of Jesus so more people can experience the joy of Christian faith?"
The ecumenical meeting was a part of Pope Francis' on-going efforts to bring unity among Christians, previously stating in public remarks, "Divisions among us, but also divisions among the communities: evangelical Christians, orthodox Christians, Catholic Christians, but why divided? We must try to bring about unity."
.
However, Pope Francis's call for unity goes beyond the Christian community.
About that Vatican Prayer Invitation - Alf Cengia - http://www.omegaletter.com/articles/articles.asp?ArticleID=7828
The pope's invitation to Palestinian and Israeli leaders to come to the Vatican and pray for peace has generated a fair amount of discussion and speculation, especially among prophecy buffs like me.
As much as possible I want to avoid conjectures, because they are just that. I believe eschatology has been marginalized when speculative outcomes have failed to come to fruition. Moreover, I have no special prophetic insights other than my own private musings. Yet there are a few observations we may be able to safely make of Pope Francis' historic Prayer Summit.
Haaretz cites several statements made by church official Father Pierbattista Pizzaballa. At one point he says that:
"The pope does not want to get into the political questions of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that we all know about in the smallest of details from A to Z."
One problem with Pizzaballa's claim is that the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is plagued by numerous unavoidable details that involve trumped up charges against Israel. They are unavoidable because the world is constantly bombarded by them in various media. If it isn't the Boycott Divest Sanction groups, it is the activist clerics, celebrities, biased journalists and university campuses.
They are singularly intent in reminding us that Israel is occupying Palestinian land; that Palestinians are suffering because they don't have their own state and because of Israeli oppression.
I wrote last week that even the ostensibly well-meaning pope committed a faux pass in singling out Abbas a "man of peace." But why did he leave out Netanyahu? That omission fed pre-existing assumptions.
Likewise, the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America claims a desire to promote peace between Israel and the Palestinians. It even sports a caption for its campaign:
"The ELCA is working for justice and peace in Palestine and Israel through our campaign, Peace Not Walls." (Emphasis mine)
This approach is identical to the tactic employed by the Christ at the Checkpoint organizers. In the context of expressing a desire to promote peace, the ELCA chooses to employ the highly inflammable word "Walls."
It follows through with a smorgasbord of familiar bullet point indictments against Israel. The ELCA wants a re-examination of U.S. military aid to Israel to ensure "compliance with U.S. and international human rights law." However nothing is said of the Palestinian leaders' treatment of Palestinians and Christians under their dominion.
The New York Times suggested that there were "some subtle provocations" by Abbas and Peres during the Vatican Prayer Ceremony.
The writers cited Abbas' reference to Jerusalem as "our Holy City" and his use of the term "the Holy Land of Palestine." He prayed for a "sovereign and independent state" and said that Palestinians were "craving for a just peace, dignified living and liberty." In other words these desires are lacking as the result of Israeli occupation.
Note that Abbas' reference to the term "our Holy City" means exclusively Palestinian. This is perfectly in line with the restriction of non-Muslim access to the Temple Mount. The writers got that one right.
Hamas' Ismail Haniyah didn't get a Vatican Guernsey but he can rest assured that Abbas did his best to represent him. After all, they are working on a Unity Government and both agree on the essential that Israel has no right to exist:
"The PA, it seems, learned that the world would no longer permit it to directly call to kill Israelis, for to do so would cause it to lose American and European funding. So instead of promoting the terror, it glorifies the terrorists; instead of Palestinian children learning that they must kill Israelis, they learn that whoever kills Israelis will become a Palestinian hero."
Of Peres' contribution they came up with a rather innovative interpretation:
'Mr. Peres did not mention rockets fired from the Gaza Strip, but he evoked the attacks with the biblical quotation, "Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore."'
How could they be sure that Peres only meant to evoke Gaza attacks? As CAMERA points out, Isaiah 2:4 is sung as a popular Hebrew song. In fact Peres likely had a much broader scope in mind, and one in line with the Isaiah quote.
The Vatican Prayer Summit may have been well-intended, but it was a failure. It will not facilitate change. There will never be any peace in Jerusalem while Israel continues to exist and the Islamic states have any say in the matter.
The exercise merely served as an opulent setting for a further expression of the current political state of affairs. It offered another opportunity for observers to digest and pick apart what was said. It was a showcase that had the media buzzing (for a while) and people like me typing more essays.
Peres typically described Jerusalem as, "the cradle of the three monotheistic religions." However, two of these three faiths deny Jesus Christ as exclusive Lord, Savior and Son of God.
As one who claims Apostolic Succession I would hope that Pope Francis used that valuable time to witness to Peres and Abbas. Saint Peter and Saint Paul would have made it their primary commission (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 17:22-31).
The pope should have reminded Peres of Hosea 5:15 and linked it to Matthew 23:39. In their affliction Israel will seek God, and they will not see Him until they recognize the Lord. He should have told Abbas that there is no salvation except through Christ, and that every knee will bow to him (Acts 4:12; Philippians 2:9-12).
In fact we see nothing of these gospel messages from the Vatican in the media. Neither do we see them from the ELCA or main-stream protestant churches. It's not a case of the media ignoring such proclamations. On the contrary, the controversy generated would make great reading.
What we do see is an obsession with Ecumenism and obeisance to the demands of Reconciliation, Inclusivism, Universalism and Cultural Diversity. While the Vatican is at the forefront of the Ecumenist initiative, it has many willing accomplices.
The World's Churches are heading towards an insipid, homogeneous unity, sans the gospel. One might even call it anti-Christianity. Christians who insist on enthroning Christ and biblically derived values will inevitably find themselves more and more ostracized.
Finally, there can be no real peace in this world apart from that which comes from Faith in Jesus Christ.
Abbas' Deceit at the Vatican - Joseph Klein - http://www.frontpagemag.com/2014/joseph-klein/abbass-deceit-at-the-vatican/
Pope Francis provided a nice backdrop for a so-called "prayer summit" in the Vatican gardens on June 8th, attended by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli President Shimon Peres. "It is my hope that this meeting will mark the beginning of a new journey where we seek the things that unite, so as to overcome the things that divide," Pope Francis said at the prayer ceremony. Prayers and readings were provided by Jews, Christians and Muslims, followed by remarks from the pope and the two presidents. Each set of prayers praised God for creation, begged forgiveness of sins and asked for peace in the Holy Land.
In an obviously orchestrated photo op, Presidents Abbas and Peres embraced in the presence of the pope. "Nice to see you," Peres and Abbas said to each other in English. At the end of the ceremony, they took up shovels to add dirt to the base of a newly planted olive tree.
Politics were not intended to be on the agenda. This was a prayer summit, after all. Abbas even managed to avoid using the word "occupation," at least according to the English translation of his prepared remarks. He offered a prayer for peace: "O Lord, bring comprehensive and just peace to our country and region so that our people and the peoples of the Middle East and the whole world would enjoy the fruit of peace, stability and coexistence." He presented the Palestinians as a people "craving for a just peace, dignified living and liberty." He also was quoted as saying: "We want peace for us and for our neighbors. We seek prosperity and peace of mind for ourselves and for others alike."
In other words, Abbas laid it on very thick with nice words that sound like themes on which the Israelis and Palestinians could unite. But they are just hollow words. Interspersed was his divisive reference to Jerusalem as "our Holy City." And the elephant in the room was his pact with Hamas.
The "things that unite," which Pope Francis was hoping could become the key to achieving peace between the Israelis and Palestinians, are in reality found only in the unity agreement between Abbas and the jihadist organization that wants to destroy the Jewish state completely, Hamas. Despite Abbas's assurances that the unity government will adhere to the principles of recognition of the state of Israel and renouncing of violence, Hamas's leader Ismail Haniyeh is having nothing to do with that program. "Hamas's strategy has not changed and will not change," he declared on June 8th at the opening session of the jihadist training "summer camps" in Gaza that indoctrinate children to hate Jews. "We emphasize now that we will not retreat from out plan to liberate our lands and ensure the right of return..."
As Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, who did not attend the Vatican ceremony, said during a cabinet meeting on Sunday in Jerusalem, "Whoever hoped that the Palestinian unity between Fatah and Hamas would moderate Hamas is mistaken." The Obama administration, as well as much of the international community that does not live daily under the shadow of Hamas, have decided to recognize the new interim Palestinian government resulting from Abbas's pact with Hamas. They are doing so on the basis of the mistaken belief that Hamas or any jihadists can be "moderated."
Indeed, it was reported in Buzzfeed that the U.S. has been secretly holding talks with Hamas for months through back channels. The Obama administration has denied the report. However, after the release of the five dangerous, high-level terrorists from Guantanamo, worked out secretly by the Obama administration with the Taliban in exchange for securing the release of Bowe Bergdahl, it is more likely than not that the report is true.
Abbas's visit to the Vatican is all in keeping with his propaganda campaign to convince the West that he is sincere about seeking real peace with Israel, which he is not. On the very day that Abbas was making nice at the Vatican, a former Hamas government spokesman, Ihab al-Ghussein, revealed that Abbas has said in private meetings he is lying in public statements to "trick the Americans."
As reported in Arutz Sheva, Ihab al-Ghussein wrote on Facebook that "behind closed doors," Abbas had said: "Guys, let me (continue) saying what I say to the media. Those words are meant for the Americans and the occupation (i.e., Israel), not for you. What's important is what we agree on among ourselves. ...Don't harp on everything I tell the media, forget about the statements in the media."
Abbas was following his own self-declared script of deceit at the Vatican. His words were nothing more than a blatant display of taqiyya (lying to unbelievers). We should take the advice that he gave to Hamas - forget about his public words of seeking genuine peace with Israel as they mean absolutely nothing.
Historic First Ever Islamic Prayers At Vatican Signals Start Of One World Religion - http://www.nowtheendbegins.com/blog/?p=22463
"And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH."
"These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful." Revelation 17:14
Chrislam Will Be The One World Religion
The book of Revelation is quite clear when it discusses the Catholic system in chapters 17 and 18. The Vatican sitting on seven hills is called the "mother of harlots", a pagan system of worship that has control over the whole world. She is carried by the beast, and is the enemy of God. More than that, she will rule for a period of time with complete power over kings, mighty men and all the inhabitants of the earth. The One World Religion during the time of the Great Tribulation.
"And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues." Revelation 18:4
So it is with great interest that we note that the Vatican, which represents 1 billion+ Catholics around the world, and Islam which claims more than 1 billion+ Muslim adherents, have begun to merge and join forces. Al Arabiya reports this:
For the first time in history, Islamic prayers and readings from the Quran will be heard at the Vatican on Sunday, in a move by Pope Francis to usher in peace between Israelis and Palestinians. Holy See officials on Friday said the evening prayers would be a "pause in politics" and had no political aim other than to rekindle the desire for Israeli-Palestinian peace at the political and popular level.
.
In prophecy, many believe that the Pope is not the Antichrist, he is the False Prophet. It will be his job to control the One World Religion, just as it will be the job of the Antichrist to create and control the One World Government. The Antichrist, the False Prophet, and the Beast which is Satan himself, are the Unholy Trinity that the scriptures warn will come. If Pope Francis continues on this path, and there is no reason why he wouldn't, it is highly likely that he is the False Prophet of Revelation. That means that the arrival of the Antichrist is next, and that the Rapture of the Church can happen at any moment.
"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God." 2 Thessalonians 2:3,4
A 7 Year Peace Treaty is about to be crafted and signed by all parties concerned. This is the goal that Pope Francis is working towards. When will it happen? No one can say. But this is as close to that peace treaty as we have ever been in the 2,000 years since the prophecies were first given. Tomorrow at the Vatican, the Catholic Pope will lead the main representative of Israel and the main representative of Islam in a worship service at the place that the bible calls the "mother of harlots". They all claim to want "peace" at any cost. A peace is coming, but it will be a false peace administered by a false messiah. It will be the time of Jacob's Trouble.
The Times of Israel reports that "According to a statement released by Peres's spokesperson, Abbas, Peres, and Francis will be joined by Jewish, Christian and Islamic religious leaders. The event will feature readings about peace by the clergy from the Tanach, the New Testament and the Quran. Francis will then read religious verses with Peres and Abbas, which the three will have selected for the ceremony."
Yes, we are really that close.
