Top Story Palestinian Statehood Resolution Fails The UN Security Council has rejected a Palestinian resolution calling for an Israeli withdrawal from the West Bank and East Jerusalem and the establishment of a Palestinian state by late 2017. The resolution had called for negotiations to be based on 1967 borders and called for a peace deal within 12 months. STAR ID, which stands for Secure, Trusted and Reliable Identification, is the state's way of complying with the REAL ID Act of 2005. All but 15 states and territories are in compliance with the act. There are currently over 3.8 million licensed drivers in Alabama, and over 46,000 have obtained a STAR ID. Under UN procedures the U.S. would be liable for 22 percent of the budget for the ATT secretariat, the body that will oversee its implementation. By 2020, the Palestinians will outnumber the Jews, according to the report.
