What we are witnessing in India right now is nothing short of a horror show. We are being told that someone is dying every four minutes in New Delhi, but everyone pretty much agrees that the official numbers are not capturingthe full extent of this plague. Some models are suggesting that “as many as 15,000 people are dying every day” in India, and hospitals all over the country are overflowing with patients that are at death’s door. India’s “double mutant” strain has been widelyblamed for this catastrophe, but now a “triple mutant” strain has emerged which appears to be even more dangerous. Here in the United States, we often ignore what is going on in the rest of the world. But what is transpiring in India right now deservers our full attention… People infected with coronavirus are dying in the streets, bodies are piling up at crematoriums and hospitals are running out of oxygen and beds as India’s crisis spiralsout of control. During a second wave described as a “tsunami”, infected people have been wandering the streets looking for hospitals with open beds, morgues have run out of stretchers andtrees from parks were to be used to burn bodies. By now, we have become quite accustomed to the dominant COVID strain that has spread so widely in the United States, and a lot of people out there are not taking it veryseriously because the vast majority of victims end up recovering. But if this strain from India starts spreading like wildfire in the U.S., it will completely change the game. This virus has caused a devastating oxygen shortage in Indianhospitals, and many patients are dying prematurely simply because there is not enough to go around… Dr. Gautam Singh dreads the daily advent of the ventilator beeps, signaling that oxygen levels are critically low, and hearing his desperately ill patients start gaspingfor air in the New Delhi emergency ward where he works. Like other doctors across India, which on Monday set another record for new coronavirus infections for a fifth day in a row at more than 350,000, the cardiologist has takento begging and borrowing cylinders of oxygen just to keep patients alive for one more day. Sadly, greedy individuals have decided to start selling oxygen on the black market, and in many cases they are selling cylinders of oxygen for absolutely ridiculous prices… The price of an oxygen cylinder would typically cost around around $80 (6,000 rupees), but price gougers are cashing in on the huge demand and in some cases charging asmuch as $1,300 (50,000 rupees) per cylinder. In the most critical cases, those unable to get access to oxygen are suffocating to death, while some people have resorted to committing suicide by hurling themselves fromroofs amid the hospital shortages. In the western world we are constantly being told that the vaccines will end this pandemic, but in India we are seeing an explosion of cases even though 142 million peoplehave already gotten at least one injection… Inoculations peaked at 4.5 million doses on April 5 and have since averaged about 2.7 million a day, government figures show. Nationwide, almost 142 million people have received at least one dose of a Covid vaccine. The “double mutant” strain that has been spreading all over India is known as “B.1.617”, and there is still so much that we don’t know about it. What we do know is that it has 13 distinct mutations that set it apart from the original COVID virus, and we are being told that the “E484Q mutation” is very similar tothe E484K mutation found in Brazil and South Africa. That particular mutation “can help the virus evade antibodies”, and this has caused great concern among scientists. And just when it seemed like things couldn’t get any worse in India, a new “triple mutant” strain has emerged… As India contends with its second major wave of COVID cases and a double-mutated variant of the virus, it now faces a new threat — a triple-mutant variant. Scientists found two triple-mutant varieties in patient samples in four states: Maharashtra, Delhi, West Bengal, and Chhattisgarh. Researchers in the country have dubbedit the “Bengal strain” and say it has the potential to be even more infectious than the double-mutant variant. The reason why this is being called a “triple mutant” strain is because it evolved from the merging of three previous COVID variants… This is because three COVID variants have merged to form a new, possibly deadlier variant. The Times of India spoke to Vinod Scaria, a researcher at the CSIR-Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology in India, who said the triple-mutant was also an “immuneescape variant” — a strain that helps the virus attach to human cells and hide from the immune system. “Hide from the immune system”? That doesn’t sound good at all. At this point scientists have no idea how effective the current vaccines will be against this “triple mutant” strain. And of course it is inevitable that COVID will continue to mutate, and so researchers will be in an endless race to keep up with those new strains. This new “triple mutant” strain is yet another example that shows us that any declarations of victory are completely premature. Back in January, Indian Prime Minister NarendraModi was bragging to the rest of the world about how well his nation had done during this pandemic… In January, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared victory over the coronavirus, telling a virtual gathering of the World Economic Forum that India’s success couldn’t becompared with that of anywhere else. A little less than a month later, his Bharatiya Janata Party passed a resolution hailing Modi as a “visionary leader” who had already “defeated” the virus. But now people are literally dropping dead in the streets all over India, and bodies that are being burned in the open air light up the night skies… As the death toll mounts, the night skies in some Indian cities glow from the funeral pyres, as crematories are overwhelmed and bodies are burned in the open air. As I discussed yesterday, we have entered a period of time when “pestilences” will constantly be with us. If you weren’t taking the COVID pandemic seriously, you were living in a fantasy world. And if you thought that there would be an easy solution to this pandemic, you were living in a fantasy world. Earlier today, I came across a studythat was just released that completely took my breath away. The study was conducted at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, and what it discovered has enormous implications. Many COVID victims have continued to experience severe symptoms longafter the virus is out of their systems, and researchers at Texas Tech University wanted to figure out why this is occurring� Over the last year, COVID �long haulers� have continued experiencing a variety of symptoms months after the virus clears. These include anything from skin problems, to shortnessof breath, to losing the sense of taste or smell. Now, researchers say they may know why this is happening. A new study finds coronavirus actually causes long-term changes to an infected patient�s genes. �Long-term changes to an infected patient�s genes�? That does not sound good at all. Specifically, the researchers found that exposure to the COVID spike protein alone �was enough to change baseline gene expression in airway cells�� SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, is covered in tiny spike proteins. During infection, the spike proteins bind with receptors on cells in our body, starting aprocess that allows the virus to release its genetic material into the inside of the healthy cell. �We found that exposure to the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein alone was enough to change baseline gene expression in airway cells,� said Nicholas Evans, a master�s student inthe laboratory of Sharilyn Almodovar, PhD, at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. �This suggests that symptoms seen in patients may initially result from the spike protein interacting with the cells directly.� Up to now, we had been told that the spike protein itself was relatively harmless. But now new research is completely contradicting that assertion. In fact, the researchers discovered that even exposure to low concentrations of purified spike protein could cause long-term gene changes� The researchers found that cultured human airway cells exposed to both low and high concentrations of purified spike protein showed differences in gene expression that remainedeven after the cells recovered from the exposure. The top genes included ones related to inflammatory response. I know what many of you must be thinking at this part in the article. The mRNA vaccines have been specifically designed to get our cells to produce the COVID spike protein. The following comes from the official website of the CDC� COVID-19 mRNA vaccines give instructions for our cells to make a harmless piece of what is called the �spike protein.� The spike protein is found on the surface of the virusthat causes COVID-19. For a long time, the CDC has been using the term �harmless� to describe this process, but this new research may force them to withdraw that assertion. Meanwhile, new questions continue to be raised about the new mutant COVID strains that are spreading all over India like wildfire. Earlier today, I came across a report about the situation India that is incredibly alarming. The following comes directly from the New York Times� At Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, a huge facility in the middle of India�s capital, 37 fully vaccinated doctors came down with Covid-19 earlier this month. The infections left most with mild symptoms, but it added to their growing fears that the virus behind India�s catastrophic second wave is different. They wonder if a morecontagious variant that dodges the immune system could be fueling the epidemic inside the world�s hardest-hit nation. If one or two doctors had gotten infected, that could have probably been dismissed as being not too significant. But 37 all at the same time? What is going on in India right now appears to be very different from what the rest of the world has been experiencing. In the last 24 hours, the number of new cases setanother all-time record high, and the number of new deaths in India surpassed 3,000 on a single day for the first time ever. India has become the brand new epicenter of the COVID pandemic, and these new strains are being blamed. Of course it is just a matter of time before these new strains spread all over the globe. In fact, cases of the �double mutant� strain have already been identified in theUnited Kingdom� Three cases of the Indian Covid variant have been spotted in Leicester, sparking a testing blitz at a school to snuff out any potential cases. The strain, linked to an explosion in cases in India, has officially been detected 132 times in the UK but experts say there are likely hundreds more. If scientists confirm that this new variant �dodges the immune system�, that is going to have enormous implications for every nation on the entire planet. So many people had been hoping for a quick end to this pandemic, but those hopes may soon be completely dashed. In the Scriptures, we are warned that there will be multiple �pestilences� in the last days. So if these really are the end times, we should expect to see pandemics thatkill large numbers of people. And as I detailed in my latest book, killer pandemics that are coming in the future will absolutely dwarf the death toll from this current pandemic. All throughout human history, great plagues have wiped out large numbers of people, and despite all of our advanced technology we continue to be extremely vulnerable. In fact, the Scriptures indicate that pestilences will wipe out more people in the last days than ever before. We had no masks. There wasno social distancing. Upon deplaning, we were all standing in line at Dulles Airport waiting to get our temperature checked. Then all of a sudden, the world goes absolutely crazy. Quarantining healthy people, shutting down flourishing businesses, requiringmasks indoors and outdoors, creating social classes of people from those who are and are not vaccinated. Now the CDC has come out with new guidelines saying that people who are vaccinated still must wear masks. It�s confusing. If you can�t get the virus, whywear a mask? Dr Fauci, the chief COVID guy, has waffled more times than a breakfast restaurant on these COVID restrictions. Wear a mask, don�t wear a mask; children wear a mask; childrendon�t wear a mask; children can�t get the virus; children can get the virus; The virus can transmit on any surface; the virus can�t transmit from surfaces; stay six feet apart, three feet is OK. Safe to go without a mask outside, unsafe to go without a maskoutside. This is like a never-ending game of Simon Says, or shall we say �Uncle Sam Says,� and to a certain extent, the CDC, Fauci, and state and local governments are probably getting a good laugh at watching all of us put on and take off our masks, and jumpfrom three feet to six feet every time they put out another dictum. The end of our public service message from the CDC. Let�s get this straight. You get the vaccine so you are protected from getting COVID and can go back to some semblance of normal living. Right? Yet, even when you get thevaccine, you still have to take all the precautions non-vaccinated people must take so you don�t get the virus and spread it. So what is this all about? CDC says on its website that they don�t know how long vaccine protection lasts or if it is effective againstother strains.
