An Amazing Week

Without question, the fulfillment of Bible prophecy is on fast forward; but this week was an amazing week, and it seemed like it was on super-fast forward.

One, on May 7, 2018, Pres. Trump said he would reveal his decision on whether the U.S. would stay in or withdraw from the Iranian nuclear deal the next day.

On several occasions, Iranian leaders said a U.S. withdrawal would lead to war.

So, while Pres. Trump was speaking, the U.S., England and France had ships and planes en route to areas near Syria.

An amazing thing about this is the fact that some prophecy teachers believe the U.S. (perhaps one of the young lions) and England (perhaps the merchants of Tarshish) will ask Russia, Iran and others if they are going to take a spoil and a prey when they attack Israel in the Battle of Gog and Magog (Ezek. 38:13).

Two, the next day which was May 8, 2018, Pres. Trump announced his intention to withdraw the U.S. from the Iranian nuclear deal.

And by the end of the week, Iran's Foreign Minister was on his way to Russia (Iran's main ally in the Battle of Gog and Magog) for a meeting with Vladimir Putin to discuss ways to keep the Iranian nuclear deal alive.

The next day, May 9, 2018, Pres. Trump held a Cabinet meeting; and before it started, he was asked about the potential consequences of the U.S. withdrawing from the Iranian nuclear deal.

Pres. Trump replied, "I would advise Iran not to start their nuclear program. I would advise them very strongly. If they do, there will be very severe consequence."

On May 10, 2018, Iran announced that it will start enriching nuclear fuel in the coming weeks.

It is just speculation, but some would say this could lead to the destruction of Iran's intercontinental missiles and nuclear facilities in Elam (part of Iran; Jer. 49:34-39).

Three, Saudi Arabia and some of the other Arab nations praised Pres. Trump's decision to withdraw from the Iranian nuclear deal.

An amazing thing about this is that Sheba and Dedan are in Saudi Arabia; and they will also ask Russia, Iran and the others if they are going to take a spoil and a prey when they attack Israel in the Battle of Gog and Magog (Ezek. 38:13).

God and His Word are amazing. Iran is against Israel, but the U.S., England and Saudi Arabia are for Israel; and this fits what the prophets said.

Four, Iran and the others will attack Israel in the latter days and latter years (Iran was called Persia in Ezekiel's lifetime; Ezek. 38:5), and open war broke out between Iran and Israel this week. Open war means Iran (not Iranian proxies such as Hezbollah, Hamas, etc.) was directly involved in the attack on Israel.

The location of this confrontation was on the mountains of Israel, and that is where the Battle of Gog and Magog will take place (Ezek. 38:8).

Iran suffered a terrible defeat, and that is what will happen to Iran again in the Battle of Gog and Magog (Ezek. 39:1-6).

Iran's defeat was to be expected because Jehovah promised to curse those that curse Israel. Allah keeps coming up short against Jehovah. The Mahdi will too.

This open war was not the Battle of Gog and Magog, but it could lead to that because Iran has already announced her intention to ramp up her confrontation with Israel in the coming weeks.

Five, Syria and Israel will get into a war in that day (a phrase that applies to the time of the end), and Damascus will cease to exist as a city in one night (Isa. 17).

Israel warned Syria to stay out of Israel's confrontation with Iran, but Syria ignored Israel's warning.

Syria tried to shoot down some of Israel's missiles and jets, and Israel responded by destroying some of Syria's missile launchers, radar systems, weapons storage facilities, etc. Syria's losses were extensive.

Some reports said loud explosions could be heard all around Damascus. At some point, it will be one very loud explosion in Damascus. Pray for the people of Syria.

Six, for seven weeks, one of Iran's proxies (Hamas, a terrorist group in Gaza that is funded by Iran) has been instigating riots in Gaza. At the time of this writing, approximately 41 Palestinians have been killed. Some reports said thousands have been wounded, and Hamas was promising that it will get worse. (It did. On May 14, 2018, some reports said approximately 55 more had been killed and another 2,400 had been wounded.)

One must wonder if this continued violence is ultimately going to trigger the confrontation that some prophecy teachers call the Psa. 83 War.

We know this much: It may have been another step toward the Battle of Gog and Magog because Turkey (one of Israel's attackers in that prophesied war) has withdrawn its Ambassadors from the U.S. and Israel.

Seven, a volcano is erupting in Hawaii, and some Geologists say it has the potential of throwing boulders the size of a refrigerator hundreds of feet in the air.

Eight, the second worst flood in the history of Montana is taking place right now.

Nine, in 2013, the Boy Scouts started admitting gay boys. In 2015, they started accepting openly gay leaders. In 2017, they started accepting transgender scouts. Now, they are going to drop the word "Boy" from their name. They will be the Scouts, not the Boy Scouts. Who but Satan could imagine that this wonderful organization could be corrupted so fast?

Ten, Pope Francis said a person that owns a gun is not a Christian. Only God knows his heart, but his theology is definitely not Biblical.

Eleven, this week the UN General Assembly passed a resolution to work on an agreement to establish one international law for the environment. Put another way, they want to draft one environmental law that every nation on earth will have to abide by.

The problem with this is that they will eventually draft a law about buying and selling. Everyone on earth will be required to abide by it.

It is amazing how so many events that happened in just one week seem to relate to 2,600-year-old Bible prophecy.

Does God Exist? Is God Real?

This is the most important question you will ask in your life . Does God Exist? Is God Real? Its answer has the great power to change and shape your life.
I have researched this question a good part of my life and after 26 years here is my conclusion. If you read the full account carefully and objectively you will most likely come to the same conclusion.

Sight

Here is a quick and easy experiment for you to try. Take a look at a distant object or one close by. A tree. A car. A computer monitor.  This object is a few inches to many feet away from your eyes. Now put your right index finger on your lower eye lid while it's open, and push up slightly. You will see 'double vision' and the object seems to split in half.  How did you split an object that is outside your body?  If what you see is a real physical object, it would not have split or become a double image. How did you manipulate the tree or monitor when it lies many feet outside your body? The tree, the car or the computer monitor you see is an image of the actual object. Not the actual object. But what is this image? It certainly isn't the object itself because when you shut your eyes the object is still there. And you can't split a distant object by just pushing on your eye!
Light travels into your eyes and is focused onto the retina in the back of your eyes. Here the rod and cone photoreceptor cells convert the light into nerve signals that are sent to the back of your brains (visual cortex). The right eye sends signals to the left back hemisphere of your brain and the left eye sends it to the right back. Then what happens to the nerve signals ? Is it a dead end? How do we get this beautiful three dimensional scene that lies outside of our bodies? It has to be part of us because we can manipulate it when we push upwards on one eye. Sight is a feeling, a sensation that lies outside of our physical bodies. Therefore logically speaking if it lies outside our physical body, then it is not part of our physical bodies! Sight and visual images are a part of your soul. They are a part of your spirit. The soul is 100% metaphysical. I advise you not to pay attention to "scientists" who do not believe in the soul. They blindly follow false theories that are immediately debunked and derailed by the existence of the soul.

So where did your soul and sight come from ? How are the two visual fields (left and right) lined up so perfectly on top of each other ? The slightest push gave you double vision. Left Pixel is right on top of right pixel. And who made the cameras, the wires, the brain and the soul and made them communicate together so perfectly? Who mapped the sensor cells exactly to the image in perfect positioning? Is God Real? The one who created this amazing system is your Creator. Also known as God.
What is color anyways: green, blue, purple? Can you describe them to a person borne blind. What you are seeing around you is not the real physical object because there is a central focused detailed area of the visual field (fovea), and then vision becomes less detailed at the periphery. Do real objects have detailed and less focused areas? All what you see is your soul, made by your Creator. God. God is real.

Hearing

I am sitting in a room and there are a few sounds. My fingers are tapping on a keyboard. The fan sound of the computer. The air conditioner blowing through the vent. Sound begins as a vibration or a wave of pressure that moves through air, water or solid. It is picked up by the ear drum, that pushes a small stirrup bone against a fluid filled, spiral part of our ear called the cochlea. The cochlea is lined up by thousands of tiny hair cells that move in response the fluid vibration and convert the sound into nerve signals. The motion of these hair cells (organ of Corti) can even be changed by the brain to pre-amplify the sound. The nerve signals are sent to two small areas in the sides of our brain's temporal lobes. Then what happens to the nerve signals? Is it a dead end ?
How do we hear the sound of music ? How is sound projected outside our bodies and positioned spatially into three dimensional space? Again if it is outside your body, then it is not part of your physical body. It is part of your soul, your spirit. This logic cannot and should not be denied.
And if you have two ears why don't you hear two different sounds for each vibration. Why is there one sound of a water drop in a kitchen sink? Is God Real ? Sound is part of your soul. From the tiniest drop to the sound of thunder. And the one who made your ear, ear drum, cochlea, brains auditory cortexes and wired them perfectly together with your soul, is your Creator. It is none other than God. Yes God is real.

Touch

As you sit you feel pressure against your body, and you feel your clothing's texture against your skin. And when you type on your computer's keyboard, you feel the plastic keys or the glass screen if its a tablet. All these sensations of touch are outside your physical body. The sensations are just outside your skin. The sense of touch is picked up by a vast network of receptor nerve cells in your skin. Some specialize in pressure and texture (mechanoreceptors like the Merkel cell that senses texture). Others tell you about temperature, pain and position of different parts of the body. This somatosensory system converts the feeling of touch into nerve signals that are sent to the brain's somatosensory cortex. Then what happens to the nerve signals? Is it a dead end? The soul picks up the signal from the brain and maps the touch feeling out in three dimensional space correctly right outside of your skin at the exact position of touch.
No matter what texture or feeling it is: silk, carpet, wood, steel, water, cold, pain. These are all parts of your soul. Who aligned the soul with your brain and your skin? And even when you grow, gain or lose weight, your soul expands or contracts with your body to correctly match the exact location of your skin sensors. Is God Real? Absolutely. God is real. My advise to you is not listen to anyone. Follow your own reasoning and logic.

Taste & Smell

As you eat chocolate or your favorite meal you taste the food using taste buds in your tongue and the flavor is sensed by the smell in your nose (the olfactory bulb). The signals are sent to the brain and processed further along the way by intermediary parts of your brain. Invariably the tastes of sweetness, saltiness, sourness and bitterness combined with the flavors (e.g. flavor of pizza, coffee, meat) end up in the brain's cortex. The taste we feel is then projected back and positioned onto the food that is being chewed or the beverage being drank. Even though these senses are within the boundaries of our physical body, the food itself is not part of our body and the same question returns. Flavors, taste and smell are not part of our physical body. They are again part of the soul. Is God Real? Who coded the shape of molecules to be sensed by 50 to 150 receptor cells that make up your taste buds. And combined this taste with the smell in your nose to give you a flavor. When you eat something that is healthy, it tastes delicious and when a food has gone foul it has a noxious smell and a bad taste. This is the work of your great and kind Creator God. God is real.
Taste Bud

What Are You?

Ask yourself the question what am I ? Look inwards and ask again. Beyond the physical body, you are made of mainly two parts: the mind and the heart. They are parts of the soul. Like two spheres one on top of the other, separated by a space. The body is merely a vehicle with sensors to sense, interact and move your soul in the physical world. Anytime you make a decision there is tug of war between your heart and mind. Your mind can lead you to success and the heart will either help you or ask for what is bad, depending on previous decisions and acts. The heart has no intelligence and should never be trusted. It can be a cruel master inflicting harmless pain when it doesn't get its way. Patience is needed to overcome it.
Love is not a chemical. Nor an electrical pulse. Neither is the color blue. Happiness is not found inside neurons.  Theses are sensations of the soul. But where did your soul come from ? And how did your soul get matched up and aligned so perfectly to your body? Why is it when you move, that your soul moves along with the very different physical body? Why is it not left behind or fall down through the earth? The more you think, the more you will draw the same conclusion. This cannot be anything other than the work of a superior, genius being. This great scientist, engineer and artist is our Creator. Is God Real ? Absolutely 100% God is real.

Imagination & Memory

Imagine you are on a beach, with white sand and waves breaking on the shore line. Behind you is a line of coconut palm trees. The picture you just drew in your mind is your imagination. How do you draw an inner or outward photo of anything you wish? You can imagine a miniature car with a miniature person in it, moving along your desk or furniture. What is this projection you just made outside your body? How do we remember facts, what happened yesterday and important events in our life in less than a second?
Memory and imagination are both parts of the mind, which is part of the soul. They are not part of the physical brain. Memory is not stored in the nerve cells, but in the soul's vast storage system. Memories may be accessed by the physical brain, which acts like a wire or USB cable to the soul's external storage device. Some scientists nowadays do not approach, nor believe in the soul nor its existence because it is beyond what they can measure or detect with their instruments. It also conflicts with the fallacious and secular education they had received.   The recognition of the soul is a personal and logical process. If one follows logic and reason, one can arrive at the right answer. Is God Real ? Yes and He is the maker of your physical brain and metaphysical mind that is part of your soul. Your physical brain has approximately 100 billion neurons. Who wired your brain and developed it from a single egg cell? Indeed God is real.

Meaning & Thinking

What is the meaning of the word 'meaning'? What is the meaning of 'success and achievement'? How do we understand a written or spoken sentence? How do we understand the sentences written on this site ? What is meaning? What is thinking ? How am I able to plan my day tomorrow ? How can humans decide what to do to increase their income or learn a new skill ? Meaning, understanding and thought are all complex operations of the brain and the mind. They are so complicated and obviously miraculous that any objective thought will only lead you in one direction. The mind is part of our soul and the one who lined up billions of neurons with billions of receptors in the soul's mind is a great scientist and creator. Is God Real? It is enough just to look at thought and meaning to conclude that God is indeed alive and is responsible for our design and existence.

Time

What is time? Time is a measure of change and is useful for our minds' well being. Does time really exist? Within this universe time does exist because there is change. We need it to function. With respect to our Great Creator, God the aspect of time is different. The evidence above and below will make you conclude (if you are objective) that God is alive and does exist but we cannot fully comprehend Him. God has always existed and will always exist. He is in a permanent state of existence and He created space, change and time. But God himself does not change. Understanding God is beyond the limits of our intelligene.

Genes

Every protein that makes up your body and cells is transcribed and made from the stored genetic information in our chromosomes. The information is stored in strands made of just four nucleotide molecules: Adenine, Thymine, Cytosine and Guanine. Every three (codon) code for an  amino acid. Amino acids are the buidling blocks of polypeptides which are the proteins.

To translate a genes' information into functional proteins and hormones, first a copy is made of the DNA and stored in a single strand called the messenger RNA.  Then parts of this mRNA (introns) are removed that do not code for protein. This is then shuttled to the cell and picked up by a large complex structure called the ribosome that is responsible for the final translation into the protein.

If all the proteins of your body are translated from DNA, and proteins are needed to translate DNA into proteins, then who put those translating proteins in our cells in the first place? If a ribosome was not already present in the cell, not one single protein would have ever been made. The one who put the ribosomes and encoded all the proteins of all living creatures into 3 nucleotide codes is a highly intelligent being. Clearly He has the ability to manipulate atoms and molecules on a very microscopic level and does not forget any formulation. This intelligent being is your creator. God.

The Cell

Every human being is made of  about fifty trillion cells. All these cells in their difference and complexity were derived from one single cell. Cells divide and give perfect copies of their DNA (genes) to the next set of cells. DNA copies are proof read and any errors are corrected in the new cells. Different cells express different parts of the genome and have different functions. Each cell is like a tiny supercomputer that has to work in perfect tandem with neighboring cells and within itself to serve its purpose. If the cell malfunctions and becomes cancerous, it no longer recognizes its neighbors and divides indefinitely which can lead to death. Any mutation or change in the DNA can deform transcribed proteins losing their shape and ability to function. This can lead to the death of the cell. There are no constructive mutations. The fruit fly which was studied for the function of the genes is irradiated with gamma radiation to mutate the genome and find out the function of the genes by studying the dead larvae or pupa and finding out what proteins are missing or deformed and resulted in the death.

Each cell is made up of organelles such as the nucleus which contains the DNA, the mitchondrion which gives it energy to function, the golgi body which acts as a packaging center for proteins, a complex membrane that allows only certain molecules in, and other complex structures.  Who designed the cell out of which a 50-trillion-cell creature is made ? Is God Real? Yes. God is the one who designed the cell and engineered all the creatures and made the male and female versions of every living being. The correct tree of life is one line from every single species to this masterful engineer who is our creator God.

The Atom & Nuclear Energy

We've all watched nuclear explosions and the formation of mushroom clouds. These massive explosions can be derived from as little as 52 kilogram weight of matter. How were these atoms put together in the first place? Where did this huge amount of energy come from that made the stars which are giant atom and element factories? Even the structure of a tiny atom shows organization and complexity that requires an intelligent scientist to engineer and design. The energy needed to make the stars came from an intelligent being who has an infinite source of energy and total control over matter. Mass is made out of energy. Mass and atoms were all put together by our creator God. Directly or indirectly.

The Big Bang &
The Formation of Stars and Galaxies

By studying the background microwave cosmic radiation it was scientifically proven that our universe came from one central mass, and is continuously expanding. In less than a trillionth-trillionth of a second, it expanded from a small size to the size of a present day galaxy. For the next 300 thousand years it was a dense cloud of subatomic particles forming hydrogen and helium neutrons. Then as it cooled to lower temperatures, the first atoms began to be created. For the next 100 million years or so, it continued cooling and expanding, the atoms were brought together and combined to form clumps of matter and clouds of smoke. For the first 100-200 million years there were no stars and no galaxies. There was only clouds of smoke positioned in a interwoven network of filaments.

Where did this initial, dense, hot mass come from? How did this very dense and hot mass suddenly expand in less than a trillionth-trillionth of a second to the size of a galaxy? Does a hot cloud of smoke ever condense by itself to form a solid object? So how did the first star form after 100+ million years of nothing but tiny particles and clouds of smoke ? The only logical answer is that a very capable and intelligent being with full control over matter, caused such a rapid expansion from a dense central mass. Then after waiting patiently, this intelligent living being applied a force on select atoms of the smoke clouds, a controlled directional gravitational-like pull to form the first star. He gave the star a very large amount of fuel and a relatively short life span. For the next 100 million years or so there was only one star.  The first star was approximately 100-300 times the size of our sun. Why didn't any other star form? Because this one great engineer, the Creator, decided to show His creation later, that He alone was responsible for this Big Bang and creation of the universe. One. These events will prove that One and Only One Creator was responsible for all this. Is God Real? Yes One God is real.

At about 200-300 million years after the creation of the universe, the only star exploded in a supernova. Then others stars were created and the first galaxy formed at about 1 billion years after the Big Bang. There was only one galaxy with many stars. One. Our Solar System was not created until 9 billion years later and earth is estimated to be about 4.6 billion years old. The Grand Unification of all theories and laws into a logical conclusion would state clearly that all forces, matter and beyond came from one single source. The source is an intelligent living being who makes decisions and is very patient. This living being has at His disposal an infinite amount of energy. Objectively and logically you can conclude that without His intervention, no stage in the development of the early universe would have been possible. For example the central original mass would have remained the same and never expanded giving us the Big Bang. The clouds of gas and smoke would have remained the same and no stars or galaxies would have formed.
By studying the motion of large objects, their mass can be calculated. Based on this, scientists expected to see stars in the center of the galaxy move faster than at the outer edges. Instead they found that stars in both locations move at the same velocity. So they attempted to explain this by using unseen "dark matter". To hold the galaxy together and prevent it falling apart, this "dark matter" needed to make 80% of the mass. Yet is can never be measured nor seen! Similarly scientist expected the expansion of the universe to slow down as the universe runs out of energy and gravity pulls it together. But they found out that the universe is expanding faster. They blamed this phenomenon on new energy derived from "dark energy". What about the laws of thermodynamics ? Doesn't the first one state that the total energy of the universe is constant, and that energy cannot be created or destroyed? Isn't all systems prone to entropy and chaos? So where did this new energy come from? Where is the new energy needed to make a star like the sun come from? Did you know that the scientists calculated that approximately 400 million new stars like the sun are born each day! "Dark matter" and "dark energy" are in reality the energy and capabilities of our unseen, living creator. God is real and is holding the universe together with His unseen capability. He is the One making 400 million stars every day and giving them their energy. It takes an intelligent being to apply an intelligent, intentional force to create new ordered systems, and keep things in order and work against the entropy and chaos all systems are prone to.

Spiral Galaxy Created By God

A Finely Tuned Universe and
26 Universal Constants

There are 26 dimensionless fundamental physical constants that if altered slightly, the universe would be very different and not fit to support life. For example if only the strong nuclear force was 2% stronger that would cause all the hydrogen fuel to be consumed in just a few minutes after the Big Bang! This would cause star death at an alarming rate and no fuel for life would have ever come from the sun. Consider another constant, the omega density parameter. If this was too strong the universe would have collapsed on itself in a short period of time.
So these constants were finely tuned by an intelligent engineer and scientist who knew precisely what is needed for the universe and life to exist. This Creator fine tuned these constants from the start and He alone created the stars, galaxies and planets. Later in an environment that would allow life, God engineered life-forms and gave them their energy source from the sun and chemical bonds. God taught these creatures how to live and survive.

Earth  & Water

The presence of water on this planet has always puzzled scientists. Water could not have formed on the early planet earth because of the heat and the strong magnetic field would have repelled any ionizing radiation needed to combine hydrogen (deuterium) and oxygen. Within the solar system, any water that formed would not have survived the violent birth of the sun. So water must have been made outside the solar system.  The sun moves at a very fast pace with respect to the center of the galaxy - 810,000 kilometers per hour. The earth spins around the sun in a helix like an old telephone cord at a speed of 110,000 kilometers per hour. So how did water that formed outside the solar system manage to find and land on planet earth? The only logical answer is that a highly intelligent being created water and guided it to planet earth.
Actual orbit of earth and other planets around the Sun

In similar fashion the most essential chemicals to life after water are carbon, nitrogen and hydrogen. These chemicals are very volatile and were not found on early earth. So how did these chemicals that are manufactured in stars make it to earth in abundance and stay there without escaping its atmosphere due to their volatility? Is God Real? God is real and is the only one who has full control over atoms and molecules, and can with intelligent intent direct chemicals to earth and create living creatures.
The atmosphere around present day earth also acts as a protective shield from meteorites and a screen from deadly radiation. The ozone layer is known to protect us from cancer causing ultra-violet radiation. The sun itself emits a solar wind made of electrically charged particles and magnetic fields that travel more than a million miles an hour to form a heliosphere that protects the solar system and earth from harmful radiation and violent events in space. So who created these protective layers to allow us to survive? Is God Real? Yes of course God is real, and He is the kind creator and engineer who protects His creation from a universe full of harmful radiation.

Creatures

Planet earth has some 8.7 million living species out of which 7.77 million are animals. Most of the species have yet to be described and cataloged. The animals come in pairs of male and female, and each have been given a way to find food, defend themselves and reproduce. Much like human beings most of these creatures have sight and hearing. They may also have other senses such as one for detecting electrical pulses. Therefore all these creatures are made out of two halves a physical body and a soul. So who created the body and the soul and aligned them together so perfectly? Who made a female for every male? If you were to challenge scientists to create a fly or a mosquito they would despair from the complexity of the task.  All these creatures are highly complex, and are created from a single cell. They grow in stages from a single cell and start out their life as helpless, weak creatures that cannot fend for themselves. So who created the initial parents that defended and fed their young? These creatures are much more complex than autonomous flying drones and robots. When you see these drones and robots you ask about the intelligent engineer who invented, programmed and put them toghether. So who is this super intelligent engineer who put living creatures together ? God.

The great gray owl lives in the arctic and has been endowed with super hearing. To survive it must hunt for its pray (mice and rodents) that are moving in underground channels some two feet below the snow. The owl's face was created like two giant radar dishes that focus the tiniest sounds from a far distance. Who gave the owl such a super sense of hearing? The owl would have starved to death had it not been given this precise hearing and hunting mechanism.

The pied kingfisher is a bird that can hover in still air. To find fish it hovers 10 meters above the water and is capable of holding its head perfectly still while it flaps its wings at 8 times a second. When it locks on to its pray it dives down in a controlled descent, and as its pointed beak breaks the water, the shockwaves are picked up by thin hairs on the back of the fish that alert them. The bird must beat the fish by 1/50 of a second to catch its prey, otherwise it escapes and the bird will starve. Again who gave this great hunter its ability to hover and hunt ? These creatures were engineered precisely by an accurate and intelligent Creator. God made them and gave them the ability to hunt and survive against all the challenges found in nature.

The liver fluke is a type of flat worm parasite that is picked up by ants when they consume the slime of a passing snail. The larvae of the fluke borrow into the ants brain and control its mind and behavior. When the ant sees a cow, it is ordered to climb to the top of vegetation and dangle their bodies from the top leaves or flowers so the cows can eat them and the liver fluke will be passed on to their next host, the cows. Once inside the stomache of the cows, the liver flukes leave the stomache and make their way to the cow's liver where they dine on their target's tissue. So who taught the liver fluke to control the mind of the ant and make it behave in this unusual way? How long would it take scientists to figure out how to control the mind of an ant and make it behave this way? Whoever created the ant, knows the inner workings of its brain, and is the one who taught the liver fluke how to control its mind. This is definitely the work of our creator God.

What Prevents Humans From Believing

There are billions and billions of pieces of evidence that prove the existence of our Creator God. Yet you will find some humans doubt and others do not want to exercise logic nor believe. Why is this the case? There is an important point to be made here. This Creator has such great control over our hearts and bodies, that in the event we cause harm to ourselves or others, the immediate punishment is the loss of reason and logic from our hearts and minds. This is His way of telling us you are doing something wrong- a misdeed - and that it has to stop.

These misdeeds may be the prevention of others from existing, for example an abortion, or a life style that may prevent babies from being created and borne. Ask yourself the question "I've been given the chance to exist - am I allowing others to exist ?" It may also be oppressive practices such as usury and interest that may impoverish others and rob them of their right to live free of debt and in happiness. Be careful of things such as smoking and drinking alcohol (both of which harm you and can lead to cancer), or lifestyles of illicit sex. These can lead you to atheism or weakeness of belief. To make it back to our Creator, we must stop all practices that harm ourselves or others. Simply ask Him for forgiveness and repent. No matter what religion you are from or belief you had before, if you ask the One Creator for forgiveness and stop any harmful act, this will lead to reason and logic returning to you. Then you can clearly see and recognize His existence.
Be fully aware that your heart, which has no intelligence, may be polluted to where it simply doesn't want to believe. Well who made this heart in the first place? The mind can only beat the heart using fear of failure and the drive to succeed. Even if the author of this site was to do anything tomorrow to harm himself or others, everything he wrote on this site would no longer make sense to him, and his ability to reason with logic would be turned off by God.
So who is this God, and what is His true identity? Well I will leave this part of the journey to you. But I can an tell you that if you look for and find a great human being, who once walked the earth, by the name of Abraham, then you are on the right track. I want you to know one thing for sure. If you manage to believe in the One Living God, correctly,  you will live a very happy and beautiful life. It would be worth your effort and it would be like heaven on earth. God is worthy of our sacrifice.

This [article was written on the] weekend of the first anniversary of 9/11 that has occurred on the Lord's day, Sunday. Therefore it seemed good to us to step back and pose the question again about the meaning of the supremacy of Christ in an age of terror.
The Supremacy of God in All Things--No Exceptions
One of the truths of the Bible that we embrace with trembling joy is the truth of God's supremacy in all things. The mission of our church is that we exist to spread a passion of the supremacy of God in all things for the joy of all peoples through Jesus Christ. When we say that, we do not mean: "except in calamities," "except in war," "except when Al Qaeda blows up a building or a train," "except when cancer takes a mom or a child is born with profound disabilities." There are no "except" clauses in our mission statement.
We did not formulate our mission in a rosy world--and then get surprised and embarrassed by the reality of suffering. We did not have our head in the sand. We formulated our mission in the real world of pain and suffering and evil and death. We have seen even among our own people, some very peaceful, but also some very terrible deaths. We exist to spread a passion for the supremacy of God in all things--all things--for the joy of all peoples through Jesus Christ--all the time. A passion for God's supremacy--Christ's supremacy (for he is God incarnate)--in all things, all the time.
Sorrowful, Yet Always Rejoicing
None of us who has lived a few decades--for me that means almost six--has embraced this mission without trembling. And none of us has lived this mission for long without tears. We have said it dozens of times here at Bethlehem, and we will say it till we die, that the joy we pursue and the joy we embrace in Jesus Christ is always--always in this world--interwoven with sorrow. There is no unadulterated joy in this world for people who care about others. The Bible describes Christ's servants like this: "[We are] sorrowful, yet always rejoicing." (2 Corinthians 6:10).
"Sorrowful yet always rejoicing." How can that be? It can be because Christ is supreme over all things forever, but suffering and death remain for a while. Life is not simple. There is pleasure, and there is pain. There is sweetness, and there is bitter suffering. There is joy, and there is misery. There is life and health, and there is disease and death. And therefore emotions are not simple. For those who love others, and not just their own comforts, this complexity means that we will rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep (Romans 12:15). And there is always someone we know who is weeping, and someone we know who is rejoicing. And therefore we will learn the secret of "sorrowful yet always rejoicing"--and joyful yet always sorrowing. Those amazing words that describe the Christian soul--"sorrowful yet always rejoicing"--mean that suffering remains for a while in this world, but Christ is supreme now and forever.
9/11, Hurricane Katrina, and the Constant Suffering in This World
The first plane that hit the World Trade Towers, Flight 11, immediately killed 92 people on board that flight. Flight 175 that hit the second tower a few minutes later killed 65 people on board. In the Towers themselves it appears now that 2,595 people perished when the Towers fell, including those who worked there or visited there, and those who were entering to save them.
Flight 77 carried 64 people when it hit the Pentagon within an hour after the first attack. Inside the Pentagon 125 people died in addition to these 64. Flight 93 with 45 people aboard turned around over Pennsylvania and was headed . . . where? The White House? The Congress? Todd Beamer and others wrestled control from the hijackers, it seems, and the plane crashed with no survivors near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. All 45 people died. The total fatalities in these terrorist events was about 2,986.
We thought that would be the calamity for this message to focus on. But God had other plans. Who can pose the question of God's sovereignty and Christ's supremacy today and leave Hurricane Katrina out of account. What happened in the last week in New Orleans and surrounding areas is different than almost anything this country has ever seen. The September 8, 1900 Galveston Hurricane may have killed more--up to 12,000, we don't know--but it did not displace hundreds of thousands and leave a major city virtually empty and paralyzed with several surrounding smaller towns even more devastated. Who can speak of the supremacy of Christ in an age of terror without considering the terror of 140-mile-an-hour winds and broken levees and floodwaters covering 80% of a great city and who knows how many people dead in their attics?
And lest we think naively in response to these calamities, as though the cost of lives was something unusual, let's remind ourselves of the obvious and the almost overwhelming fact that over 50,000,000 people die every year in this world. Over 6,000 ever hour. Over 100 every minute. And most of them do not die in ripe old age by sleeping peacefully away into eternity. Most die young. Most die after long struggles with pain. And millions die because of the evil of man against man.
Sudden calamities shock us only to make more plain what is happening every hour of every day of your entire life. Thousands perish in pain and misery every day. Probably seven or eight thousand people will have died during this worship service. Some of them are screaming out in pain just now as I am speaking and as you sit there in relative comfort. If there is to be any Christian joy in this world, along with love, it will be sorrowful joy, broken-hearted joy. What person in this room, who has lived long enough, does not know that the sweetest joys, the deepest joys, are marked with tears, not laughter?
Evil and Pain as a Pointer to the Need and Evidence for God
So even in our own experience--in our own souls--believers or unbelievers, there is a kind of witness that the world of evil and pain and misery and death is not a meaningless place. It is not a place without a good and purposeful God. Some people--not all--have found in the greatest evil--the time of greatest sorrow--the greatest need for God and the greatest evidence of God.
It happens like this. A great evil happens--say the holocaust with 6,000,000 murders. Or the Stalinist Soviet gulag with many more than that sent to their deaths. In the midst of these horrors, the human soul, that had been blithely pursuing its worldly pleasures with scarcely a thought about God and with no serious belief in any absolutes like evil and good, or right and wrong--happily living in the dream-world of relativism--suddenly is confronted with an evil so horrible and so great as to make the soul scream out with ultimate moral indignation: No! This is wrong! This is evil!
And for the first time in their life they hear themselves speaking with absolute conviction. They have a conviction of absolute reality. They know now beyond the shadow of a doubt that such a thing as evil exists. They admit that all their life up till then was a game. And now they are confronted with the stark question: If there is such a thing as absolute evil--if there is a moral reality that is above and different from the mere physical processes of evolutionary energy plus time plus matter--then where does it come from, and what is it based on?
And many people discover in this moment of greatest evil that there is only one satisfactory answer: There is a God above the universe who sets the standards of good and evil and writes them on the human heart. They are not purposeless chemical reactions in our brains. They have reality outside of us, above us, in God. Paradoxically, therefore, the times of greatest human evil have often proved for many to be times when God is most needed and most self-evidently real. Without him evil and good are simply different electro-chemical impulses in the brain of mammal primates called homo sapiens. We know--you know--that is not true.
Why Does Such a World Exist?
So we ask: Why, Lord? Why is the world you made like this? If you are God--if you are the Christ the Son of the living God--why is this world so full of terror and trouble?
Here is what I believe the Bible teaches in answer to this question. I will give two answers that are not the reason such a world exists, and then four answers that are the reasons such world exists. I deal with each very briefly and point you to the Scriptures where you can search God's word for yourself.
1. The reason this terrorized and troubled world exists is not because God is not in total control.
The Bible is overwhelmingly clear that God governs everything in the universe from the smallest bird to the largest storm. "Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father" (Matthew 10:29). "Even winds and sea obey him" (Matthew 8:27). "The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the Lord" (Proverbs 16:33). "The king's heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; he turns it wherever he will" (Proverbs 21:1). "Who has spoken and it came to pass, unless the Lord has commanded it?" (Lamentations 3:37). "Does disaster come to a city, unless the Lord has done it?" (Amos 3:6). "He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him" (Mark 1:27). "I am God, and there is none like me . . . saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose'" (Isaiah 46:9-10).
There is no person or being in the universe that can thwart the sovereign will of God. Satan is his most powerful enemy and does much evil in the world, but he must first get God's permission, and none of his actions is outside God's governance. He never breaks free from his leash (Luke 22:31; Job 2:6-7; 42:11).
2. The reason this terrorized and troubled world exists is not because God is evil or unjust.
"This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all" (1 John 1:5). "Good and upright is the Lord" (Psalm 25:8) The angels cry before God day and night, "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!" (Isaiah 6:3). And when he does things that seem evil to us, the Bible teaches us to speak to man like this: "As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good" (Genesis 50:20). God is not evil, even when he wills that evil come to pass. There are good and holy and just purposes in all he does. For those who love him he "works all things together for good" (Romans 8:28). Now and forever.
Now the four positive reasons why this world exists.
1.The reason this terrorized and troubled world exists is because God planned the history of redemption and then permitted sin to enter the world through our first parents, Adam and Eve.
In 2 Timothy 1:9 the apostle Paul said, "[God] saved us and called us toa holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began." In other words, before there was any world or any sin in the world, God planned saving grace through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. That means that God knew Adam would sin. He was already planning how he would save us.
Therefore Adam's sin was part of God's plan so that God could reveal his mercy and grace and justice and wrath and patience and wisdom in ways that could have never been revealed, if there were no sin and no Savior and no history of salvation. God's aim for this fallen world is that he be known more fully, because knowing God most fully is what it means for us to be most fully loved. If you turn to Christ, you will discover in God more wonders in this fallen world than could be imagined in any other world.
2.The reason this terrorized and troubled world exists is because God subjected the natural world to futility. That is, God put the natural world under a curse so that the physical horrors we see around us in diseases and calamities would become a vivid picture of how horrible sin is. In other words, natural evil is a signpost pointing to the horrors of moral evil.
Before I say another word, hear this word of clarification: some of the sweetest, most humble, godly, Christ-exalting, heaven-bound people carry some of those signs. Listen to Romans 8:18-21:
The sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. 19 For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to decay and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.
In other words, God subjected the creation to futility and bondage to decay and misery and death. He disordered the natural world because of the disorder of the moral and spiritual world--that is because of sin. In our present condition blinded by sin and dishonoring God every day, we cannot see how repugnant sin is. Hardly anyone in the world feels the horror that our sin is. Physical pain we feel! And so it becomes God's trumpet blast to tell us that something is dreadfully wrong in the world. Diseases and deformities are God's portraits of what sin is like in the spiritual realm. That is true even though some of the most godly people bear those deformities. Calamities are God's previews of what sin deserves and will one day receive in judgment a thousand times worse. They are warnings. And that is true even when they sweep away Christ-followers and Christ-rejectors.
Oh, that we could all see and feel how repugnant, how offensive, how abominable it is to blackball our Maker, to ignore him and distrust him and demean him and give him less attention in our hearts than we do the carpet on our living room floor. We must see this, or we will not turn to Christ for salvation from sin. Therefore, God mercifully shouts to us in our sicknesses and pain and calamities: Wake up! Sin is like this! Sin leads to things like this. (See Revelation 9:20; 16:9, 11.) The natural world is shot through with horrors to wake us from the dreamworld of thinking sin is no big deal. It is a horrifically big deal.
3. The reason this terrorized and troubled world exists is so that followers of Christ can experience and display that no pleasure and no treasure compares to knowing Christ. That is, the loss of every good thing in this world is meant to reveal that Christ himself more than compensates for all losses.
We see it in the New Testament and the Old Testament. The apostle Paul says, "I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ" (Philippians 3:8). The superior worth of Christ is magnified because in all Paul's losses, he experiences Christ as all-satisfying.
The prophet Habakkuk said it with amazing and painful beauty:
Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls, 18 yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will take joy in the God of my salvation. (Habakkuk 3:17-18)
Famines, pestilence, persecution--these happen so that the world might see in the followers of Jesus and discover for themselves that God made us for himself and that he is our "exceeding joy" (Psalm 43:4) and at his right hand are pleasures for every more (Psalm 16:11). The losses of life are meant to wean us off the poisonous pleasures of the world and lure us to Christ our everlasting joy.
4. Finally, the reason this terrorized and troubled world exists is to make a place for Jesus Christ the Son of God to suffer and die for our sins. The reason there is terror is so that Christ would be terrorized. The reason there is trouble is so that Christ could be troubled. The reason there is pain is so that Christ could feel pain. This is the world God prepared for the suffering and death of his Son. This is the world where God made the best display of his love in the suffering of his Son.
Romans 5:8, "God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." All his suffering was the plan of God to reveal redeeming love to us. The sovereignty of God, the evil of the world, and the love of God meet at the cross of Christ. Listen to this amazing statement from Acts 4:27-28 about God's plan for the suffering of his Son--for you! "Truly in this city [Jerusalem] there were gathered together against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, to do whatever your hand and your plan had predestined to take place." All the scheming, all the flogging, all the spitting, all the beating with rods, all the mockery, all the abandonment by his friends, all the thorns in his head, all the nails in his hands and feet, the sword in his side, weight of the sins of the world--all of it according to God's plan. For you to see God's love more graphically.
God's deepest answer to terrorism and calamity is the suffering and death of his Son. He entered into our fallen world of sin and misery and death. He bore in himself the cause of it all--sin. And he bought by his death the cure for it all--forgiveness and everlasting joy in the age to come.
On his behalf I invite--I urge--you to receive him as your Savior and Lord and the supreme Treasure of your life.
