Concerning the Times: Global Situation Update

Concerning the Times: Global Situation Update - Howard Green - http://concerningthetimes.com/global-situation-update/

Occasionally, Concerning The Times will devote a weekly article to focus on global trends and rapidly converging prophetic events to get the big picture. God knows everything past, present, and future. When we step back and view current events through the lens of scripture, the things taking place in recent weeks and months seem less random and more like they are belonging to the end time scenario. We will cover several topics and focus on two that are certainly prophetic in scope. Here is the current Global Situation Update:

When we look at the world with a discerning eye, it doesn't take very long before we recognize that there is trouble brewing everywhere. It is difficult to pick a corner of the globe and not find turmoil. If we turn to Africa we have the growing nightmare that is Ebola. In Africa we also see a major surge in persecution of Christians at the hands of radical Islamists. Europe is becoming reacquainted with an old evil.....antisemitism. From Hungary to France, to the EU leadership itself, it appears that many want to make Israel and the Jewish people the reason for all of the world's problems.

When we turn to Asia we see a region that could ignite at any moment. Territory, natural resources, and unimpeded access to the international waters around China are all major issues. China has shown increased aggression towards it's neighbors and is claiming more airspace and waterways as it's sovereign territory. The other house of cards in Asia is the volatile Korean peninsula. The evil and darkness that is North Korea is always one miscalculation away from major conflict.

In the United States we have double digit unemployment, a stagnant economy, and by the way......our borders are open. The threat to national security that is represented by the border situation has been well documented, but it bears repeating. Disease, violent drug cartels, human trafficking, criminals, and terrorists are what we are leaving our borders open to. Unfortunately, this situation hasn't abated and we can only hope that serious threats posed to the public never materialize.

Ebola has made it's way here as well. It remains to be seen how this disease will affect America, but there have been many mistakes made by officials thus far. Now we have approximately 4,000 of our soldiers in the hot zone in West Africa. In my opinion, this is a very poor decision by this administration and the DOD to send these men and women to "fight ebola." We were told by officials that they wouldn't be in harms way or have direct contact with patients. That may or may not be the case, but that leads one to question the 21 day quarantine in Italy for soldiers on the way back to the US.

Now I want to turn our attention toward two key situations that I believe are lining up with the end time scenario the Bible lays out. First we will look at Russia:

Ezekiel 38:10   "Thus says the Lord GOD: On that day, thoughts will come into your mind, and you will devise an evil scheme and say, 'I will go up against the land of unwalled villages. I will fall upon the quiet people who dwell securely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having no bars or gates,' to seize spoil and carry off plunder, to turn your hand against the waste places that are now inhabited, and the people who were gathered from the nations, who have acquired livestock and goods, who dwell at the center of the earth.

Russia has been making a lot of headlines in recent months. The conflict between Russia and Ukraine has been on the media's back burner so to speak, but this may be short lived. Two weeks ago, Russian President Putin ordered the approximately 17,000 Russian troops to pull back from the border region of Ukraine. Putin has done this before and it remains to be seen if the temporary peace will hold. It's worth noting that the two countries did strike a deal to allow natural gas to flow from Russia to Ukraine this winter. In light of the declining Russian ruble and the need bolster it's economy, the move makes sense.

When we look at the big picture in the region and increased Russian military aggression, the temporary peace may be just that.....temporary. There has been a major surge of Russian military activity in the last year which seems to be meant as a message to NATO. Moreover, in just the past 6 months we have seen numerous incursions into NATO country airspace. In the last week alone, there have been dozens of flights by Russian strategic nuclear bombers in close proximity to Norway, Portugal, Great Britain, and along our west coast near Alaska and California. When we take hard line rhetoric coming from Moscow that's being directed to Washington into account and the unusually high amount of "practice runs" their long range bombers are making, the message to the west seems clear: Russia is bolstering it's military and political presence worldwide and it seems to be deviating from the business as usual stance with the US and EU.

In my opinion....the timing of Russia's resurgence isn't coincidental. Looking at the picture the Bible gives us for the last days, we see why Russia will be on a path to dominance. It was written by Ezekiel over 2,500 years ago....Russia and it's evil coalition will make a move to plunder the riches of Israel. When we begin to see recent activity set the stage for future events, it's just more evidence that the prophecies in God's word are 100% spot on. When we want to discern what is going on in this world, Russia is one area that needs to be watched. One last comment on Russia: In recent days....the White House computers were subject to a hacking attack and many media sources report it originated from inside of Russia. This is just another indication that Russia is bent on a course of increased boldness and at the very least....open political conflict with the US. America seems to be sitting on the sideline when Russia makes it's move on Israel. We can see the current decline in the US economy, military, and global leadership as a potential catalyst to allow for aggression against Israel mentioned in Ezekiel. I featured a piece in March titled:  The Hook in Russia's Jaw.....you can find it on our articles page.

Let's look at Israel as our second area of interest:

Zechariah 12:1   The oracle of the word of the LORD concerning Israel: Thus declares the LORD, who stretched out the heavens and founded the earth and formed the spirit of man within him: "Behold, I am about to make Jerusalem a cup of staggering to all the surrounding peoples. The siege of Jerusalem will also be against Judah. On that day I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples. All who lift it will surely hurt themselves. And all the nations of the earth will gather against it.

When we read Zechariah 12:3 in it's context, we know the ultimate fulfillment will be at the Battle of Armageddon. But we are beginning to witness a preview of what will be the political situation at the end of the age. It's true that for decades now....Israel and it's surrounding 'neighbors' have been in an almost constant state of conflict. I keyed in on the term neighbors for a reason. It's because most of us are not in the least bit surprised when we see violent Islamic extremists and rogue regimes ruthlessly attack Israel with weapons and harsh rhetoric.

Here is what is becoming increasingly evident in recent months:   The EU is becoming an antagonist with it's words and one sided policies directed at Israel. During the last summer and the conflict with Hamas, Israel was vilified over and over again by many in the European and liberal US media. Israel defends itself from ruthless rocket attacks and the EU quickly rebukes the Israeli government for using "disproportionate force."

I find recent developments between Washington and Jerusalem very telling. We know that there is coming a day when every nation will turn against Israel. Many western nations have been firm allies of the Jewish nation since it's modern rebirth. But look closely at what's happening....I'm referring to the last few weeks.

Washington is engaged in a war of words and policies against Israel. The current administration has done an about face and systematically fractured what was once a longstanding vital relationship between the US and Israel. Please understand, I get that no previous administration was perfect and there has been misguided policy which has strained relations with Israel before and I'm not here to attack the current administration.

I do want to call out is the outright antagonistic and disrespectful tone taken by our leadership against Israel. Prime Minister Netanyahu has repeatedly been the target of unmerited ridicule. New Jewish settlements in east Jerusalem are labeled as illegitimate by the US. Moreover, Washington seems bent on forcing it's will for a two state solution that would imperil the security of Israelis.

What I find most shocking is that the US is about to make a deal with Iran regarding it's nuclear program. When will Washington wake up and realize it's making a deal with a regime that ultimately wants to destroy it? Here is the sad truth. It is becoming more evident that the US is moving from being a close ally of Israel and now it seems like the US is on course to becoming part of what the Bible says will be the end result:   All nations will gather against Israel.

We are living in very pivotal times and students of the Bible can see that world news echoes the sentiment: This is not the time for business as usual. Friends, keep your eyes on Israel because ultimately the nation is the axis on which we will see end time prophecy fulfilled. I hope that all of us will look at the events taking place right before our eyes through the clear lens of God's word. Looking at the present global situation.....it serves as a reminder that Jesus is coming soon.

Zero Hour

Zero Hour - Howard Green -
http://concerningthetimes.com/zero-hour/

The Bible makes it clear....we won't know the exact time of Jesus' return.  This event of events will be swift and sudden. So how do we as believers prepare and what should we be doing to get ready? Here is what the Bible says about that time:

Mark 13:32     "But concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard, keep awake. For you do not know when the time will come.

Zero hour is primarily a military term used to denote the start time for a mission. The attempt to free the US. hostages in Tehran, the landing on Iwo Jima, and the raid on the compound used by Osama Bin Laden all had a zero hour. No more preparation, no more build up, no more warning, and no more time.......now it's zero hour. There is an exact day, hour, minute, and second when the Lord Jesus will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God to take us home to be with Him. Every opportunity we have to serve and live for Him here will be over. This will be our zero hour.

I have one goal in writing this article....and no, it's not to be labeled a false teacher because I have a special revelation on the day and hour. All kidding aside, I want to ask you a very serious question. As a believer, would you live differently if you knew exactly when Jesus was going to rapture the church? What would you do if you knew these were the last few days remaining before the biblical zero hour? I'm asking myself the same question and I'm under the Spirit's conviction because to be quite frank, my walk with the Lord would be white hot if I knew he was coming for us next month for instance. I'm walking very closely with Jesus, but I have to say if I knew His coming was in the immediate future, I would be walking even closer with Him.

If I knew Jesus was coming in a few weeks I know exactly what I would do and do right now. I would be an evangelistic powerhouse. Every Christian I would come into contact with would know that He is coming soon. I would tell them to get their minds and hearts off of the temporary pleasures of this world and pursue Jesus with everything in them. I would tell people in restaurants, in grocery stores, shopping malls, and city parks to please repent because you are going to be left behind if you haven't trusted Jesus as your savior.

I would do some hard things and risk some relationships. I wouldn't worry about political correctness, people pleasing, or coming across just right to others. I would tell my unsaved family members to cry out to the Lord and trust Him as savior. When my neighbor is talking all things grass, mail, weather, and Jr's soccer practice....I'd  turn the conversation corner to real matters of eternity and ask if they know Jesus as savior.

Luke 14:23    And the master said to the servant, 'Go out to the highways and hedges and compel people to come in, that my house may be filled. For I tell you, none of those men who were invited shall taste my banquet.'"

I would love deeper, care intentionally, and look more diligently for opportunities to lift up Jesus in my life to the glory of God. When an unsaved coworker or friend is facing a difficult circumstance.....I won't simply give a sympathetic nod, a word of encouragement, or worldly wisdom. I will give them the life giving counsel found in the word of God and pray with them. I would boldly share the gospel and why they need Jesus desperately. I would prioritize even more time in reading the word, praying, and fasting for two reasons. First because I need to be ready to give a reason for the hope in me to others. Secondly because prayer and fasting equips us for ministry and strengthens our faith.

We need to be alert, sober, and grounded in the word  because false teaching is infiltrating the church, masquerading as true Christianity. Friends, it's true that we don't know the exact time of the Lord's return, but in light of the question we pondered and knowing how we would conduct our lives knowing His coming was at the door.....we should live like it is imminent, because it is. Here is what the Bible says about how we should live in reference to the Lord's return:

Luke 12:35    "Stay dressed for action and keep your lamps burning, and be like men who are waiting for their master to come home from the wedding feast, so that they may open the door to him at once when he comes and knocks. Blessed are those servants whom the master finds awake when he comes. Truly, I say to you, he will dress himself for service and have them recline at table, and he will come and serve them. If he comes in the second watch, or in the third, and finds them awake, blessed are those servants! But know this, that if the master of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have left his house to be broken into. You also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect."

1 Peter 3:14    But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled, but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame. For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that should be God's will, than for doing evil.

Romans 10:14    How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!"

Jude 20    But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. And have mercy on those who doubt; save others by snatching them out of the fire; to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh.

For 2,000 years.....the rapture has been the one event most anticipated by followers of Jesus. There are numerous scriptures pointing to the fact that the Lord will return for His bride. There is nothing that needs to happen before the rapture. Looking at the conditions of the world mentioned in Matthew 24, Daniel 9, and Revelation 6....we see the stage being set for the great tribulation and second coming. Doesn't it seem more evident each day that this world is nearing it's appointment with the God of the universe? Wars are increasing, social and political unrest is increasing, terror and brutality are increasing.  I once heard a pastor explain:

During the Fall season when we are in the stores and shopping malls, we begin to see Christmas lights and decorations appear on the shelves and displays, and it's not quite Thanksgiving yet. The appearance of all of the Christmas decorations are a clear indicator that Christmas is going to be here soon.....so Thanksgiving must be very near. Isn't this the same scenario with the rapture and second coming in mind?

When we view geopolitical events, extreme weather, terrorism, and increased violence through the lens of scripture........it becomes clear that the second coming can't be some far off event. If we are seeing conditions that point to the nearness of  the second coming, we know the rapture of the church must come first. We must live as though Jesus might come for us at any moment.....because He can. Bible prophecy is 100% accurate and spot on. The word of the Lord is sure and you can be certain everything will happen just as he said it will because he knows the beginning and the end. Here is just one of many prophecies that point to the close of the age.

Isaiah 66:8    "Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Can a land be born in one day? Can a nation be brought forth all at once? As soon as Zion travailed, she also brought forth her sons.

For hundreds of years, end time prophecies regarding Israel seemed far-fetched because she was not back in her ancient homeland. But true to His word, God brought the Jews back to their ancient homeland after over 1,700 years. We are living in interesting and exiting days. The Lord is coming for the church and eternity is before us. Let's walk in holiness & humility, boldness & zeal, and with the Spirit's leading....reach out to the lost. Let's live in light of:  Zero Hour.

Warning: Are Divine Judgments In Our Future?

Warning: Are Divine Judgments In Our Future? - Belle Ringer - http://www.salvationandsurvival.com/2015/08/the-spiritual-battle-within-church.html

While everyone is focused on the volatile stock market and our economic future, I would caution that we need to be more concerned about the upcoming ratification of the so-called "Iran Nuke Deal".  I don't need to be a foreign policy expert to employ my critical thinking faculties and sense that there is nothing good that will come from this treaty ... except for the mullahs of Iran.  They have made no secret of their hate for both Israel and America, nor of their desire to wipe us both off the face of the earth.

The lifting of economic sanctions against Iran will give their government the cash to continue their enrichment of nuclear material and eventual development of nuclear weapons, along with bankrolling the enemies of Middle East peace (think Bashar Assad, the Palestinian Authority, and ISIS).  Plus far from establishing strict inspection protocols, the deal allows the Iranians to further their policy of bureaucratic stalling and subterfuge.  It will be the same old story ... when the IAEA requests permission to inspect the nuclear sites, Iran will stall, giving themselves time to hide the evidence that they are violating the treaty, before finally giving inspectors access.

But perhaps worst of all, this "Iran Deal" will escalate the sectarian and religious conflicts in the region.  Iran will finally gain the legitimacy of a superpower in the region, ensuring that Sunni/Shia theological rivalries will arise and threaten the balance of the entire Middle East.  There is a toxicity among these relationships, and I fear that the part we are playing by promoting this Deal will be the spark that incites the flames of hell.

And sitting right in the middle of this combustible chaos is the nation of Israel, the apple of God's eye.  As I wrote in a 2012 article, titled America and Israel: Destinies Intertwined, we must expect Divine judgment for any curses that we, as a nation, place on Israel by our actions.  Our country has suffered a number of catastrophic natural disasters as a result of undermining the sovereignty of Israel with our foreign policy decisions.  Just in recent history, we suffered the "Perfect Storm" in 1991; Hurricane Andrew in 1992; the Northridge, CA earthquake in 1994; the devastating Texas floods in 1998; the powerful Super Tornado in 1999; and perhaps the most famous and destructive of them all, Hurricane Katrina in 2005 -- all after we pressed Israel into compromising with Palestinian demands and relinquishing territory in exchange for promised peace.  Israel gave up portions of Gaza and the Golan Heights ... but peace has never been established.

We have never quite understood that the land of Israel is God's land; the place where Divine providence is especially manifest. "The eyes of the Lord... are always upon it, from the beginning of the year to the end of the year" (Deuteronomy 11:12). It is "holy" land to God; land set apart by Him for His people.  To go against that covenant is to invite not only curses upon us, but Divine judgment.

And now this Iran Deal has the potential to go far beyond giving up a piece of the land.  It could result in the very real possibility that the Enemy of Israel (both physical and spiritual) will try to blow God's land off the face of the earth... and we will have given them the opportunity.

I know that you have heard it spoken that the month of September may bring some huge calamity upon the world; perhaps a global economic collapse, a world war, or more natural disasters.  But I always try to look at the future through a Biblical lens, and through God's prophetic advisories.  The coming months of September, into October, bring celebrations of God's Feasts.  First will be the Feast of Trumpets, or Rosh Hashana; then Yom Kippur, also called the Day of Atonement (a time of confession and repentance); and finally, the Feast of Tabernacles, when God returns to fellowship with man on earth.  These are high holy days on God's biblical calendar; meant to focus one's heart on the mighty judgment seat of God.  The Bible tells us that on some future Feast Day in September, the trumpets will sound and the dead will rise to meet our Lord in the sky.  At the end of the Feasts, when He tabernacles with us on earth, He will set up His judgment seat, and we must all face Him for what we have done with our lives.

Our history shows us that we have surely grieved God with our Supreme Court decisions on abortion, removing prayer from schools, and most recently, the arrogant redefinition of the God-given covenant of marriage.  When you add our partnership (with Satan's servants) to destroy Israel, we will have to answer for having contributed to the destruction of God's Land.

No one can say if this Iran Deal will be passed by Congress in September, and if so, whether this will be the September that we must stand before God's judgment seat.  But one thing is clear ... America is on a dangerous track away from God.  No one can deny that these are grave and serious times. We stand at a very critical crossroads.... for our nation; for our society and culture; for the world's population; for the Church; and most importantly for the existence of Israel.

We must declare our allegiance to God and to His people, and we must pray for the deliverance of the world's leaders from the deluding spirits of the Enemy.  God has clearly shown us that His judgment follows on the heels of cursing Israel. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!

Joel 3:1-3    "For behold, in those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all the nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. And I will enter into judgment with them there, on behalf of My people and My heritage Israel, because they have scattered them among the nations and have divided up My land, and have cast lots for My people, and have traded a boy for a prostitute, and have sold a girl for wine and have drunk it."

The Birth Pangs

The Birth Pangs - Pete Garcia -
http://www.omegaletter.com/articles/articles.asp?ArticleID=8104

Treblinka.  Sobibor. Belzec.  These were the often less heard of death camps positioned along the eastern Polish/Soviet border, away from all civilization, and served only one purpose...to exterminate as many Jews as possible.  In fact, more people died at Treblinka as a single point on the map, than at any other place in human history.  Survivors from these particular camps were few, and as the subsequent years go by, only a handful of those survivors remain.

In watching the testimonies of these men in a documentary on Treblinka, the question both survivors (both currently unbelievers) asked toward the end was, "where was God in all of this?"  These men survived the worst of the worst, and had lived to tell the tale, and yet, the same attitude they had, is common amongst many Jew today, which asks, "If the God of our fathers is real, why didn't He intervene?"  And this is why many Jews today, remain unbelievers and non-practicing in Judaism.  In their minds, they cannot reconcile a faith, which tells them to pray to a God who has selected them as the "Chosen" people, yet allowed six million of their fellow Jews, family, loved ones, and friends...die under such brutal circumstances.  It is hard to comprehend what that generation had to do to survive such an ordeal, and at such a high cost of pain, suffering, and dignity.

But while we today hem and haw and Monday-quarterback about what the Jews should have done and not done leading up to the Final Solution, so as not to be at the receiving end of a Nazi ethnic cleansing campaign, the truth is, they didn't know what they didn't know.  They thought what people of any given generation think, and that is, things will eventually get better.  They couldn't believe, or perhaps, wouldn't allow themselves to believe that a Holocaust could happen to them in modern, western, educated Europe.

In America today, we are eye witnesses to a similar aggressive assault upon, and eroding rights of our own civil liberties, despite being under the protective umbrella of the 1st Amendment of the US Constitution. Yet, despite being a supposed majority in the US...the American church has remained eerily silent over the years.  Hypothetically speaking, were America and the world to survive intact for another 50 years, those in that future generation might look back and say "why didn't the American Christian's stand up and speak up for themselves, before they came and took them all away?"

American Christianity has allowed and tolerated a whole slew of offenses which are against both God and humanity to embed itself into the fabrics of our society.  It began with intellectual acceptance of human secularism in the 19th century, which declared that man was not created, but was an accident.  This was supported by the theory of naturalistic evolution (made popular by Darwin), which supposedly provided the "science" to prove that man came from animals.  This fed into the rising secularistic and atheistic psychology movement, which enthusiastically pronounced that "God was dead".  It then progressed within the eugenics movement, which gave mankind the idea that we could and should play God, and decide who lived, and who shouldn't.  Then liberalism and socialism began creeping in, and infecting the seminaries and universities, polluting the minds of young students to believe that the government knows what's best for you and I.

Then World War II broke out with the rise of Adolph Hitler and the invasions of Czechoslovakia and Poland.  Whether the Jews want to admit it or not, God was there.  God allowed these events to play out for a specific reason, and that is to fulfill Bible Prophecy in both the Old and New Testaments.  (Amos 9:14-15, Zech. 12:6, Isaiah 11:11, Luke 21:24)  Whether the United States liked it or not, she was going to be pulled into the war, because at this moment in time, God would use her as the instrument of His punishment and also to preserve the Jewish people and allow for the creation of the state of Israel.  So out of the atrocities of that global conflict, which would cost the world the lives of six million Jews, and hundreds of millions of others, there would arise a Jewish nation again, after almost 1,900 years of global diaspora.  And as horrific as the holocaust was, it would fundamentally instill in the Jewish people the mindset of, 'Never Again'.

At least some then had the forethought to make sure that this was documented, chronicled, published, and fast.  General Eisenhower, while touring a labor camp near Gotha, Germany remarked;

"The same day [April 12, 1945] I saw my first horror camp. It was near the town of Gotha. I have never felt able to describe my emotional reactions when I first came face to face with indisputable evidence of Nazi brutality and ruthless disregard of every shred of decency. Up to that time I had known about it only generally or through secondary sources. I am certain, however that I have never at any other time experienced an equal sense of shock."

"I visited every nook and cranny of the camp because I felt it my duty to be in a position from then on to testify at firsthand about these things in case there ever grew up at home the belief or assumption that `the stories of Nazi brutality were just propaganda...'"

But even then and just prior to the Nuremburg Trials, both the Russian and American leaders, decided to preserve some of the Third Reich's top scientists (Operation Paperclip) for their own geo-political agendas.  In a deliberate way, we set aside our principles and our convictions, to bring in men who were members of a vicious and barbaric regime, which had systematically killed millions of people, just so we could gain the militaristic edge over the other power.  Quickly thereafter, we were pulled into another war (Korea), and then another (Vietnam)...and so it would seem to be the case for the next forty years.  Small skirmishes and simmering tensions embroiled the world in a Cold War, and while we were distracted with that, allowed for the rise of radical Islam. Wars and rumors of wars, and against enemies in whom despite our military advantage (remember Operation Paperclip?), we could not win against.  Sure, we won the battles, but the wars were lost by the politicians, the media, and by the American public.

Hollywood and pop culture began promoting rampant hedonism at levels unseen in the modern era.  Politicians began adopting and incorporating the corrupt techniques from the larger and more Democratic cities, to every echelon of government.  The Industrial Military Complex ramped up its efforts to stay in business, erstwhile, the politicians began making careers out of staying in office.  Abortion on demand became legalized in 1973, while our government legally funded and exported our own mini-versions of Treblinka to every city across our fruited plains.  Instead of calling them what they really are (a Treblinka) we just renamed them Planned Parenthood.  Planned Parenthood, who is the creation of Margaret Sanger (a die-hard Eugenics supporter), led the Nazi's to the belief that they too, could play God and thus eventually allowed for the legal and scientific support for the Nazi's Final Solution.  [See how this all comes full circle?]  To our own detriment, the American Planned Parenthood industry of death, has effectively put to shame every other tyrant and dictator of the 20th Century (to include Hitler, Stalin, and Mao) by exterminating over sixty million born and unborn children.

Surely, for your lifeblood I will demand a reckoning; from the hand of every beast I will require it, and from the hand of man.  From the hand of every man's brother I will require the life of man.  "Whoever sheds man's blood, by man his blood shall be shed; for in the image of God He made man.  Genesis 9:5-6

Assessment

"The heavens are not so simple as they seem, nor is God so mocked as He consents to appear, and to appear for long.  He gives our desire, and it shrivels our soul. Of our pleasant vices He is making instruments to scourge us. The passions, ambitions, and adventures of men go on to achieve their end through a riot of worldliness, wickedness, defiance, and guilt; but they are after all the levers for a mightier purpose than theirs, which thrives on their collapse. The wrath of man works the righteousness of God..."

"The non-intervention of God bears very heavy interest, and He is greatly to be feared when He does nothing. He moves in long orbits, out of sight and sound. But He always arrives. Nothing can arrest the judgment of the Cross, nothing shake the judgment-seat of Christ.  The world gets a long time to pay, but all the accounts are kept-to the uttermost farthing. Lest if anything were forgotten there might be something unforgiven, unredeemed, and unholy still."  PT Forsyth

While I do not believe in the possibility for a present-day American holocaust to come at the cost of American Christians, surely we know that according to the Scriptures, a persecution is coming.  We are the generation who are witnessing the preview of 'things to come'.  This coming persecution will be so severe, that if God did not cut it short, no flesh would survive.  (Matt. 24:21-22)

But that day is not now, and not under these conditions.  Too many people own weapons, and too many of the Armed Forces and law enforcement would not go along with some kind of genocidal Martial Law to make it even feasible.  Remember, the Active Duty Army is the largest component of the Department of Defense, and even then, only makes up less than 1% of the general population of the United States.  No, in order for this to see the light of day, it would have to come on the heels of an event so globally catastrophic, that the world will be forced into it whether it wants to go or not.  An event such as the Rapture of the Church will force that change. But the Rapture will find the world too embroiled in its own drama, to even see That Day coming.  (Luke 17:24-30; 1 Thess. 5:1-9)

Out of the chaos and aftermath of the Rapture of the Church, will come a man who seemingly has the solutions to the problems the world is looking for.  What are those problems?

*Fixing the global economy
*Fixing the global instability
*Finalizing a one world system

You and I know the world has been looking for the solutions to these problems for many decades now.  In recent years, we have been witness to the acceleration and exasperation of problems listed above, to the point in which we have reached a culmination point.  Simply put, these problems have reached the level in which we can proceed no further, without fundamentally changing everything.  The world's industrial and western nations are drowning on their own debt.  Whole regions are on the verge of geo-political collapse due to political instability.  And the world can proceed no further without the full compliance of the United States, which it cannot do by our own Constitution.

The solution to these problems lie in two areas:  one natural, and the other supernatural.

The technology to implement both economic and military control over the whole planet exists today.  What they lack, is the right crisis to implement said controls.  The right crisis, is the Rapture of the Church.  But since we don't know the day or the hour in which the Lord will return, we don't know exactly when this will take effect.  But those who are paying attention, can see the storm clouds brewing, and we know we are in that season of the Lord's return. (Matt.16:1-4)

We do know that there are Christian's in every nation on the planet, some more heavily saturated than others, which means that this will impact every nation, not just the US.  But if the world's elite can wrap their arms around an evolving and heavily fraudulent crisis such as Global Cooling, Warming, Climate Change...you can bet they will embrace the Rapture as some form of Maia or Alien induced judgment on the planet.  Even if only 10% of the United States is taken, that is still 30 million American's.  This will wreck our economy and since the world relies on our economy to keep all the other economies in balance, this by default will destabilize the whole world's economy, thus necessitating the need for the drastic change.

If you think we are not the generation of in question in the Parable of the Fig Tree, think about what it cost in terms of human lives, to rebirth Israel again in the table of nations.  It cost them six million souls.  God views every life as precious, and you can guarantee that the Holocaust was not in vain.  (Jeremiah 30:7-11)  And at 60 million plus deaths of our most innocent at the idolatrous altar of convenience, our usefulness in God's agenda has just about run its course.  God will get His reckoning on this nation, and that is to take it away from being a nation.  And speaking of pregnancy...

But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you.  For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.  For when they say, "Peace and Safety!" then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman.  And they shall not escape.  1 Thessalonians 5:1-3

People Are Going Crazy

People Are Going Crazy - By Michael Snyder -
http://endoftheamericandream.com/archives/people-are-going-crazy

Have you noticed that more Americans than ever seem to be going totally insane?  When even reporters start going on racially-motivated shooting sprees, you know that things are getting crazy in this country.  On Wednesday, most Americans were absolutely stunned to learn that a former WDBJ-TV reporter shot and killed a 24-year-old female reporter named Alison Parker and a 27-year-old male cameraman named Adam Ward right as they were in the middle of shooting a live news segment at 6:45 in the morning.  As a reporter, the shooter was known as "Bryce Williams", but his legal name was Vester Lee Flanagan II.  He fled the scene, but was later tracked down by police.  Before they could take him into custody he shot himself, and he later died at a hospital in northern Virginia.  So what would cause a talented young man to do such a thing?

In the United States, we tend to put journalists up on a pedestal.  We consider them to be role models for the rest of us, and most Americans implicitly trust whatever they have to say.

But now one of our "trusted journalists" has gone on a shooting spree that was clearly fueled by racial hatred.

On Twitter, Flanagan claimed that Parker had "made racist comments" and that Ward had once complained to human resources about him.

Are those really reasons to start shooting people?

Of course the truth goes much deeper than that.  Before he passed away, Flanagan had faxed a 23 page manifesto to ABC News.  In that 23 page document, it is very clear that Flanagan very much considered his actions to be part of an emerging "race war"...

In the 23-page document faxed to ABC News, the writer says "MY NAME IS BRYCE WILLIAMS" and his legal name is Vester Lee Flanagan II. He writes what triggered today's carnage was his reaction to the racism of the Charleston church shooting:

"Why did I do it? I put down a deposit for a gun on 6/19/15. The Church shooting in Charleston happened on 6/17/15..."

"What sent me over the top was the church shooting. And my hollow point bullets have the victims' initials on them."

It is unclear whose initials he is referring to. He continues, "As for Dylann Roof? You (deleted)! You want a race war (deleted)? BRING IT THEN YOU WHITE ...(deleted)!!!"

These are the ramblings of a very sick, twisted and hate-filled individual.

Why in the world can't we all just learn to love one another and respect one another?

Instead, the mainstream media and many of our "national leaders" are constantly fueling racial tensions in this nation.

An atmosphere of hatred and violence is seemingly being purposely created in America, and we are starting to see some really bizarre things happen.

Another example of this phenomenon recently happened in the city of Omaha.  Two thugs stole a purse from a 76-year-old woman (which isn't that unusual), and then one of them decided it would be fun to punch her full force in the head...

Police in Omaha have arrested one of the individuals seen brutally punching a 76-year-old woman in a video that went viral earlier this week.

The incident occurred last Sunday morning at St. Cecilia's Cathedral. The elderly lady is seen on a security camera picking up a pamphlet before she is blindsided by two thugs, one of whom steals her purse. The other individual then punches the woman full force in the head. She collapses to the ground and subsequently had to be taken to hospital.

After tips poured in from the public, police arrested 22-year-old Wayman Clark, the individual seen throwing the punch in the video. The man who stole the woman's bag remains at large.

Personally, I hope those thugs get put away for a very long time.  How in the world can anyone justify treating a 76-year-old lady like that?

Sadly, it isn't just street thugs and ex-reporters that are going crazy.  The truth is that we even have homicidal maniacs at the top levels of our society.  And I am not just talking about Planned Parenthood either, although I could easily do an entire series of articles about their savagery.

A recent piece by Michael Krieger pointed out the crazed statements that retired U.S. Major General Robert H. Scales made during a television interview earlier this year.  Apparently he feels that what we really need to do is to "start killing Russians" and send them back "to the motherland in body bags"...

"The only way the United States can have any effect in this region and turn the tide," Mr. Scales said, "is to start killing Russians ... killing so many Russians that even Putin's media can't hide the fact that Russians are returning to the motherland in body bags. But, given the [small] amount of support we've given to the Ukrainians, given the ability of the Ukrainians themselves to counter-attack against these, what? 12,000 Russians camped in their country...sadly that's not likely to happen."

Is it any wonder why anti-American sentiment in Russia is so strong right now?

Most Americans have never even heard about that interview, but in Russia that clip is a very big deal.

These days, many Russians consider us to be trigger-happy warmongers, and that is not too far from the truth.

One of the reasons why I write articles like this is so that we will all take a very long look in the mirror and see what we have truly become.

At one time America was the most loved nation on the entire planet, but now we are regarded by much of the world as degenerate pig people that have no class at all.

It would be nice if we could actually defend ourselves against that accusation, but the truth is that our country has become a cesspool of garbage and filth.

I mean this quite literally.  Just consider what is going on in San Francisco...

San Francisco is known for its Golden Gate Bridge, world class cuisine, panoply of cultures, striking skyline, frigid fog, and homeless. More specifically, aggressive panhandling and homeless defecating and urinating in public. And sometimes doing even worse things.

And it turns out that New York City is experiencing an epidemic of public defecation as well...

Add former mayor Rudy Giuliani to the thousands of New Yorkers complaining about homelessness.

In an exclusive interview with NBC 4 New York, Giuliani revealed that he recently filed a complaint about a homeless man camped out on his East Side street.

"I myself, two weeks ago, had to go to a precinct to complain about a homeless person who was defecating and urinating," he said. "Do you know when people lived on the streets and didn't use bathrooms inside? It's called the Dark Ages."

I don't want you to think that I am coming down on homeless people, because I am not.

If you go visit major cities throughout Europe, many of them have streets that are clean as a whistle.  People simply behave differently over there.

In the U.S., everything is decaying - our language, our infrastructure, our manners, our schools, our finances, our families and our political system.

So is there any hope for the future of this nation?

Month of Destiny - Part I

Month of Destiny - Part I - Terry James - http://www.raptureready.com/rap16.html

September 17, 1940, brought the end to Adolf Hitler's World War II assault on the UK termed "Operation Sea Lion." The "Battle for Britain," as it has been dubbed by historians, failed after British people had absorbed a terrible pounding from Hitler's Luftwaffe bombers. Each day it seemed that the end had come for England.

When the nightly assaults finally ended, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, in the grand eloquent way only he could say it, broadcast to the English people and to the world: "This is not the end. This is not even the beginning of the end. But, it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning."

Yet another September of notoriety has arrived. I in no way equate my situation to that suffered by the British people of World War II, or to any other people of any other era who have suffered in such war. But, I do feel bombarded after many months of things of fearful nature predicted to likely devastate the United States--and the world as well--beginning in the month of September, 2015.

The articles and emails have increased the closer that month gets. And, now we are there--the dreaded September. I'm suffering from Pre-Trib war jitters.

To admittedly attempt to couch it coarsely in the masterful language of the great Sir Winston Churchill, we know it is not the end of the end. It is not even the beginning of the end of the end. But we wonder if it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning of the end.

Jesus said that the things He foretold must come, but the end will not be yet (Matthew 24:6). But, He said that when we see the things He forewarned, the end would have begun, and our redemption would be drawing near (Luke 21:28).

I suppose we will shortly find out regarding this much-ballyhooed month whether all of the apocalyptic possibilities conjectured from every quarter--religious and secular alike--will be borne out as planet earth lurches into the fall. Many believe September will be a month of biblically prophetic destiny.

The chatter flows in unending analysis by those on the secular, internet financial websites. Some are straight out of Kooksville, with every conceivable theory ranging from aliens from Planet Kriptonia have stolen all of America's gold supplies to every Walmart in the U.S. has vast tunnels linking them one to another, where those aforementioned aliens will conduct business with the Illuminati devotees in a post-nuclear system of barter. Others are well-respected economic experts who have correctly predicted financial collapses such as that experienced in 2007-2008. Everyone of this latter sort--all for whom I certainly have respect because of their track records--have been proclaiming unabashedly that this immense financial bubble will burst very soon. It will be, they say, far worse than collapses of every other time in history.

It is more than interesting that these secular experts in monetary matters have in recent weeks been mentioning the Shemitah in their punditry. Many of those who have never included religious thought of any sort within their analysis of what's going on now mention this "mystery" that Jonathan Cahn's books have brought to light. And, I have listened carefully. Many, many of the "experts" are now saying that the repetition of the cycles involved is just too overwhelmingly prevalent and consistent to be anywhere near coincidental.

At the same time, gurus of the economic sort who do their punditry on the broadcast and cable networks seem almost oblivious to the fear that there is a problem of Vesuvius magnitude about to blow. These certainly display no knowledge of Cahn's books or of the Shemitah postulations. As a matter of fact, many of these are observably committed to the Obama administration's mantra that a national economic recovery is in full swing.

The concern expressed by the Internet experts and apparently dismissed by the broadcast and cable experts is for September 13. This year of 2015 is the Shemitah year, called also a Sabbath or sabbatical year. It is the seventh year of the agricultural cycle, which ends at sundown on the 13th of September. The whole matter is tied to God's covenant with the Jewish people.

With regard to the trepidatious thinking of the secular, non-mainstream financial marketeers, it is associated with financial issues, debt forgiveness, economic problems, recession, declines in the stock market, etc. On top of this, it is the beginning of a Jubilee year, which is the end of forty-nine years of the seven-year cycles, and the start of the fiftieth year. The fiftieth year involves requirement that all of Israel focus on God, the cancellation of debts, restoration of land to the original owners, and other stipulations that must be followed.

God promised blessings for Israel when the people kept the covenant to let the land lie fallow on the seventh year of each cycle. He warned of severe punitive ramifications if Israel didn't keep the Shemitah year covenant. Israel failed in keeping the covenant and has suffered many adverse circumstances. Bible scholars contend the Jews are still suffering from failure to keep the covenant.

Jonathan Cahn, a Christian who is a Jew and a rabbi, in his book, The Mystery of the Shemitah, writes that he believes the U.S. and the world could have economic (and other) problems around the time of September 13 this year. He doesn't say it will happen for sure, but, based upon the pattern of past years when the Shemitah has been in play, the evidence (that of severe economic upheaval), he submits, seems overwhelming as suggesting that something involving God's interaction might be scheduled in close proximity to this year's date.

Critics of Cahn's books most specifically point out that God's covenant regarding the Shemitah was between the Jews (Israel) and God. They contend that America and all Gentile nations are therefore not part of either the blessings or the punishment in the matter.

However, it cannot be denied that, over many years, the seven-year Shemitah cycles have, in almost precisely contemporaneous time frame, matched downturns in finance affecting national and global economies. As I say, so strangely intertwined is all of this that the Shemitah matter has captured the attention of non-mainstream news media economic experts who are truly nonreligious in forming their analyses.

With going on $19 trillion of national debt, and the Treasury printing money to throw at the impossible-to-ever-repay IOUs, and considering all of the dynamics of economic insanity on the fiscal horizon, something has got to give. There are also many other portentous matters that are impending in the month of September that have prophecy watchers glued to their calendars.

The Jewish holy days run concurrently with the Shemitah, further causing frowns of concentration for Bible prophecy observers. For example, one Bible prophecy authority and author writes:

Sept.13-15: Rosh Hashanah (also called the Jewish New Year or the Feast of Trumpets) begins at sundown on Sept. 13 and ends at sundown on Sept. 15.Some (not all) prophecy teachers believe the Rapture could occur at the end of Rosh Hashanah this year or next year or some year. (1)

He writes further on an important matter happening around the time of the Shemitah:

Sept.15: The 70th UN General Assembly will begin meeting. During this session (not necessarily on the 15th), France is expected to present a resolution to the UN Security Council to divide the Promised Land (Two-State Solution) and to force a peace treaty on Israel and the PA. If the UN does this, their decision will lead to the beginning of the Tribulation period. (2)

The month of September 2015--which will bring the last of the blood moons that have transfixed many--is seen by many as a pivotal point in God's dealing with this world of anti-God rebels. In many circles of Bible prophecy, students and observers practically insist that there will be dramatic and traumatic events take place that will begin a new phase of God's plan for fulfillment of prophecy. Next week, we will look in-depth at what the future for September and beyond might hold.

Matthew 24:34 and "This Generation"

Matthew 24:34 and "This Generation" - By John McTernan - http://www.raptureready.com/soap2/mcternan5.html

"Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled" (Matthew 24:34).

Some years ago I debated two atheists, Dan and Bill Courtney from the New York State Free Thinkers. During the debate we discussed the topic of Bible prophecy. The atheists took the position that Matthew 24:34 was a false prophecy by Jesus Christ because His generation passed away and the events prophesied did not take place. This is a common argument by many who attack the authority of the Bible. The Muslims often use this verse when I debate them.

Within Christianity, a doctrine called preterism (means past) also believes that this verse pertains to the generation of Jesus Christ. The preterists believe that all prophecy was fulfilled by 70 AD with the extreme view believing that Jesus Christ returned in 70 AD. Because this verse is so often used to attack the authority of Bible prophecy, it is very important to be grounded in the truth of this Scripture.

There are two keys to understanding the prophecy of Jesus Christ's Second Coming as revealed in Matthew 24, also known as the Olivet Discourse. The first is to understand Matthew 24:3, while the second is that Mark and Luke also write about this topic. The three gospels together: Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21 are called synoptic and need to be studied together for the complete picture and understanding.

Jesus Christ and His disciples were in Jerusalem at the temple. He warned them that the temple was going to be destroyed. The disciples were upset upon hearing this and asked three questions. The questions are found in Matthew 24:3, which becomes very important because it is the basis for understanding Jesus Christ's words found in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21. These topics must be kept in mind when reading the chapters to understand what question He was addressing. The three questions are:

1. When shall these things be? (This is the coming destruction of the temple that was currently standing.)

2. What shall be the sign of your (Second) coming?

3. The end of the world.

"And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, 'Tell us, (1)  when shall these things be? and (2) what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of (3) the end of the world?'" (Matthew 24:3).

With this in mind, let's look at Matthew 24:34 in the context which it was located. In the preceding verses, the Lord was addressing question two which is the "sign of his coming."

This is found in verses 29-31.:

"Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other" (Matthew 24:29-31).

These verses are about the Second Coming of Jesus Christ and the events preceding His return. They are not about the coming destruction of the temple. Then in the following verse, He gives a parable about the "fig tree" putting forth its leaves you know the summer is near. The fig tree blooms very late in the spring, and when it does summertime is very close. The fig tree becomes a timepiece or calendar for an event.

"Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh" (Matthew 24:32).

The use of the word "fig tree" is very significant because in the Bible it can represent the nation of Israel. God uses this metaphor and others like it because the nation is supposed to bear spiritual fruit for Him. This is a very important parable as it is found in three gospel accounts: here in Matthew as well as Mark 13:28 and Luke 21:29. The fig tree represents Israel. The foundation of the fig tree representing Israel is found in the Old Testament:

"I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the first ripe in the  fig tree at her first time" (Hosea 9:10).

When studying the gospels, there are many times that the Lord uses a parable about the fig tree. They are usually about bearing fruit, which Israel was not, and the subsequent destruction of the tree for being fruitless. In Matthew 24:32, Jesus Christ is talking about the fig tree coming to life and getting ready to bear fruit and not its destruction.

The context of Matthew 24:34 is the generation that sees the events coming to pass regarding the end of the age and the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus. THIS generation shall not pass until all the events are fulfilled. Let's look at the entire section in context to see that the generation in focus is the one that is living during the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, and it is not the generation that sees the destruction of the temple. These are two separate events.

And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled" (Matthew 24:29-34).

Luke 21 gives a tremendous key to understanding the setting of the generation mentioned in Matthew 24:34. Luke establishes the connection with the destruction of Jerusalem (question one) and then restoration of the city (question two). So events involving Jerusalem become the setting for the final generation.

In verses 20 and 21, Luke writes about the destruction of the city and what to look for. This is describing when Jerusalem is about to be destroyed. Jerusalem eventually was destroyed in 70 AD by the Roman army, thus fulfilling the warning of Jesus Christ. This answers the first question: "When shall these things be?"

"And when ye shall see  Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto" (Luke 21:20-21).

Luke then goes on to say that the destruction of Jerusalem and the captivity of the Jewish people would not last forever. That Jerusalem would be under the control of the non Jews for only a certain period of time. Jesus Christ referred to this as the "times of the Gentiles." The exact length of time was not mentioned, but the conclusion would be known as prophetic events would focus on Jerusalem.

"And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem  shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled" (Luke 21:24).

The prophet Zechariah also wrote that just prior to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ Jerusalem would again be the capital of a Jewish state, and the city would be the focus of world attention and massive world wars. The wars would end in the battle of Armageddon and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.Christ then returns to Jerusalem and this ends the "times of the Gentiles."

"In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem" (Zechariah 12:6).

The Second Coming of Jesus Christ comes at the end of the non Jewish control of Jerusalem. So according to the synoptic gospels regarding the Olivet Discourse, we could be the generation that will not pass away until all things be fulfilled. Just prior to the return of Jesus Christ, the world will be in an upheaval.

The sun and moon will show signs that perplex people. On earth, nature will be convulsing with worldwide massive earthquakes and the oceans roaring. The events are so frightening that men's hearts will fail seeing what is happening. Events like these have never happened before but will just prior to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. These events are warnings to the world of Christ's return.

"And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.  And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory" (Luke 21:25-27).

Today, after 1900 years, the Jews are once again back on the land and Israel is a nation. As prophesied by Jesus Christ and the prophets, Jerusalem is once again the capital of a Jewish nation. Hebrew was a dead language, but it was revived and is the national language of Israel. The Israelis even have shekels for money! The fig tree is once again ready to bloom, so we know that "the summer is nigh" or Second Coming of Jesus Christ is near.

This is the generation that was mentioned in Matthew 24:34. This is the generation that shall see the end of the age and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

"Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled" (Luke 21:32).

The Lord then went on to say we should watch for we never know when these events might start taking place.

"Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come" (Matthew 24:42).

The watching was not limited to the generation of Jesus Christ but every generation until He returns. This is a sign that someone is a real Christian, when he is living with the Blessed Hope: Looking for the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.

"So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation" (Hebrews 9:28).

"And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come" (1 Thessalonians 1:10).

"Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ" (Titus 2:13).
