WORLD AT WAR: 9.29.18 - Prophetic Winds Shifting In Middle East

Prophetic Winds Shifting In Middle East - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com

Israel is God's prophetic timepiece. What affects Israel has prophetic influence. The apocalyptic clock ticked forward significantly when the previous US "president" used his position to advance the agenda of Islam throughout the Middle East with Arab Spring. His infamous Iran nuclear deal, not only propelled Iran to advance its nuclear weapons program, but also provided badly needed funding to "up" its sponsorship of terrorism. In particular, the ex-"president" gave Iran billions of dollars in untraceable cash, which was promptly used to fund its violent interests in Syria. In an October 1, 2015 speech to the UN, Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the fall out from the Iran nuclear deal.

Netanyahu said, "Just look at what Iran has done in the last six months alone, since the framework agreement was announced in Lausanne. Iran boosted its supply of devastating weapons to Syria. Iran sent more soldiers of its Revolutionary Guard into Syria. Iran sent thousands of Afghani and Pakistani Shi'ite fighters to Syria. Iran did all this to prop up Assad's brutal regime...Iran supplied Hezbollah with precision-guided surface-to-surface missiles and attack drones so it can accurately hit any target in Israel. Iran aided Hamas and Islamic Jihad in building armed drones in Gaza." The war in Syria became more devastating because of the Iran nuclear deal. But now the prophetic winds are shifting.

President Donald Trump Wednesday told the UN Security Council, "This horrible, one-sided deal allowed Iran to continue its path towards a bomb and gave the regime a cash lifeline when they needed it the most....They needed cash. We gave it to them...The regime used new funds from the deal to support terrorism, build nuclear-capable missiles, and foment chaos. Following America's withdrawal, the United States began re-imposing nuclear-related sanctions on Iran. All U.S. nuclear-related sanctions will be in full force by early November... After that, the United States will pursue additional sanctions, tougher than ever before, to counter the entire range of Iran's malign conduct. Any individual or entity who fails to comply with these sanctions will face severe consequences."

Ezekiel 38:2 says, "...set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against them." Magog, Meshech, Tubal are all located in what is now modern Turkey. Verse 5 says, "Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them..." Persia is modern day Iran. Turkey (Sunni) and Iran (Shiite) are Islamic rivals positioning for control of the Middle East. For Gog (the antichrist) to lead this broad coalition that includes Persia against Israel, Persia must submit to Gog. Turkey's economy is being squeezed hard with currency devaluation. Iran's economy, due to US sanctions, will also deteriorate. Their common challenges may bring them closer. These nations may hold hate toward one another, but it is a greater hate for Israel that unites them even for just a specific time. Watch and discern as the prophetic winds shift.

Another Step Forward To The Magog Scenario As Russia Raises Tensions With Israel - By Yaakov Lappin -http://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=2590

The announcement by Russia on Monday to transfer its advanced S-300 air-defense system to the Syrian government within two weeks is a disturbing yet surmountable challenge to Israel.

In a move that can only be interpreted as an intended punishment against Israel, Russia's Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said Moscow would transfer the system, as well as electronic warfare systems, to Syria's air-defense units, arming them with advanced weapons to use against the Israeli Air Force (IAF).

The move comes as a response to the downing of a Russian intelligence-gathering aircraft last week, which was shot out of the sky by Syrian air-defense units that fired recklessly while trying to hit Israeli jets. The IAF had struck an Iranian shipment of manufacturing kits for precision missiles, which Iran was planning to smuggle to Hezbollah in Lebanon.

A number of initial conclusions can be drawn from Russia's announcement.

The first is that the IAF's job in Syria--to prevent Iran from flooding the region with weapons and military units--is about to get even more complicated. But that does not mean that this is a "mission impossible."

Syria's airspace is already the most crowded in the world with air-defense systems. President Bashar Assad's regime is currently armed with a range of Russian-made surface-to-air missile batteries (though it lost around half of them to Israeli strikes in recent months). Assad has been eyeing a purchase of the more advanced S-300 systems for years.

Arming Assad with the S-300 will increase the already formidable threat to Israeli jets that are out there, enforcing Israel's red line against Iran's military expansion. It could embolden the Syrian regime to fire even more aggressively at Israel's air force.

No stranger to the system

The good news, however, is that Israel is no stranger to the S-300 system. It already exists in Syria since Moscow deployed it--and its more advanced version, the S-400--to protect Russia's own bases and port.

Despite the advanced radars of these systems, it appears as if the IAF has learned how to operate without being detected. In addition, the growing Israeli squadron of stealth F-35 fighter jets, which are designed for just these kinds of missions, should be able to penetrate heavily guarded airspace and lead future missions against Iran's activities.

Israel's use of long-range standoff weapons, which allow jets to strike targets without needing to necessarily enter Syria's airspace, is also an important ability.

What all of this means is that the IAF has likely been developing solutions to the S-300.

Although the threat is growing to Israel's freedom of operation around Syria, the IAF is capable of working around it. The fact that Iran has already taken hold of the S-300, and used it to defend its nuclear sites, also likely served as a good reason for Israel to figure out ways of overcoming the system.

However, what is less encouraging is the fact that the S-300 system in Syrian hands can be used as an offensive weapon to threaten Israel's civilian air traffic.

Because of its long range, the Syrians can use the S-300 to watch, and theoretically target, any commercial flight coming in to land or taking off at Ben-Gurion International Airport. This enhancement to Syria's ability to threaten Israel is an explosive development, and it is not one that Israel will necessarily choose to live with in the future.

The close relationship that exists between the Assad regime, Iran and Hezbollah also means that Russia has in effect rewarded the Iranian-led radical axis, and moved closer to it by choosing to punish Israel and by ignoring Iran's dangerous actions that led to the downing of the Russian plane.

In its effort to defend the Assad regime, Russia is trying to deter Israel and get Jerusalem to scale back its military campaign against Iran's activities in Syria.

Yet Israel's active-defense campaign is a critical preventative policy. It is the only thing standing in the way of Iran's plan to encircle Israel with precise missile arsenals, pointed at Israel's population centers and strategic sites.

Israel cannot afford to allow Iran to move ahead with these plans. While it must manage the risks judiciously, it does not have the luxury of choosing to let the Iranians take over Syria.

The Russian shift away from Israel is a disturbing trend that the Jewish state will need to deal with by employing a combination of assertiveness and modesty. This is the formula that a regional power like Israel must use when dealing with a global military power like Russia.

The United States, on the other hand, as the world's leading military superpower, can take a far stronger position in support of its Israeli ally, when dealing with Russia's role in the Middle East.

Russia Escalates Tensions With Israel, Gives New Missiles to Syria - By Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz -

When you take the field against your enemies, and see horses and chariots-forces larger than yours-have no fear of them, for Hashem your God, who brought you from the land of Egypt, is with you. Deuteronomy 20:1 (The Israel Bible)

In the wake of one of their planes being shot down by Syrian missiles during an Israeli airstrike, Russia announced that within the next two weeks, they will be supplying Syria with the advanced S-300 missile defense system. The presence of the Russian missiles will seriously curtail Israel's ability to cope with the Iranian military presence along their northern border and raises tensions in the region several notches.

A previous commitment by Russia to provide Syria with the S-300 system in 2013 was cancelled after a request from Israel and several of its Western allies. Earlier this week, Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu explained the turnaround in decision.

"Now, the situation has changed," Shoigu said to the media. "And it's not our fault."

The Russian change of mind comes as a result of an incident last week when Syrian aerial defenses reacted to an Israeli missile attack and inadvertently shot down a Russian military airplane, killing all 15 people aboard.

"The command posts of Syrian air defense forces and units will be equipped with automated control systems only supplied to the Russian armed forces," TASS News Agency quoted Shoigu as saying. "This will facilitate centralized control over all forces and resources of the Syrian air defense, monitor the situation in the air and ensure operative issuance of orders. Most importantly, we will guarantee the identification of all Russian aircraft by the Syrian air defense systems."

Initially Russia blamed Israel for the incident claiming Israel did not give them adequate warning of the attack. One day after the incident, Russian President Vladimir Putin assured Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu by phone that his government considered the downing of the Ilyushin Il-20 to be the result of a "chain of tragic accidental circumstances."

The Russians changed their minds again, deciding finally to blame Israel for the death of their airmen. In a phone call on Monday, Putin reportedly told Netanyahu that the Russian Defense Ministry concluded that Israel was indeed to blame for the incident.

"The information provided by the Israeli military... runs counter to conclusions of the Russian defense ministry," Putin reportedly told Israel's prime minister. "The Russian side proceeds from the fact that the actions by the Israeli air force were the main reason for the tragedy."

"The actions of the Israeli fighter pilots, which resulted in the loss of life of 15 Russian servicemen, either lacked professionalism or were an act of criminal negligence, to say the least," a Russian defense ministry spokesman added

During the phone conversation, Putin went on to assure Netanyahu that the S-300 system in Syria was "primarily intended to thwart any potential threat to the lives of the Russian military service members."

Netanyahu was reported to have responded that "providing advanced weapons systems to irresponsible actors will magnify dangers in the region."

Netanyahu also related to the primary focus of Israeli military operations in Syria.

"[Israel is] determined to stop Iranian military entrenchment in Syria and the attempts by Iran, which calls for the destruction of Israel, to transfer to Hezbollah lethal weaponry [to be used] against Israel," Netanyahu told Putin.

The new S-300 system will not only enhance the Syrian army's ability to respond to attacks but will also seriously inhibit Israel's ability to operate in the region.

"Russia will jam satellite navigation, on-board radars and communication systems of combat aircraft, which attack targets in the Syrian territory, in the regions over the waters of the Mediterranean Sea bordering with Syria," Shoigu said.

Shoigu emphasized that if these measures "fail to cool hotheads, we will have to respond in line with the current situation."

The IDF made an announcement recently saying it has carried out more than 200 attacks against Iranian targets in Syria over the past 18 months.

Debka, an Israeli military intelligence website, suggested that the use of the system in such a manner might be a high-tech declaration of war.

"The crucial measure he announced is not the arming of Syria for the first time with S-300 systems - which Moscow withheld in the past at Israel's request - but the jamming of navigation," Debka reported. "DEBKA file's military experts point out that this the first time a major world power has declared electronic war against any country. After rejecting Israel's version of the Ilyushin crash with 15 Russian servicemen aboard as untruthful, Moscow has thrown down the electronic gauntlet before the IDF and pitched the dispute onto a much higher elevation."

U.S. National Security Advisor John Bolton blamed the entire incident on Iran.

"There shouldn't be any misunderstanding here," Bolton told reporters in New York. "The party responsible for the attacks in Syria and Lebanon and really the party responsible for the shooting down of the Russian plane is Iran."

Bolton also said Russia's decision to provide the S-300's was a "major mistake" that would cause a "significant escalation" of tensions and put out a request that the Russian government reconsider this decision.

Channel 10 News quoted a senior American official who said that the S-300 system could endanger U.S. Air Force jets operating against the Islamic State (ISIS) in Syria.

"Bringing more anti-aircraft missiles into Syria won't solve the Syrian army's unprofessional and indiscriminate firing of missiles and won't mitigate the danger to aircraft flying in the area," the unnamed official said.

Israel Fears Russia Seeking To Change Rules Of The Game In Syria - By Benjamin Kerstein - http://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=2581

Veteran Israeli analysts believe President Vladimir Putin is exploiting the downing of a Russian plane in order to change the rules of the game in Syria, and that the US has abandoned Israel on the issue of Iranian entrenchment in the war-torn country.

Last week, Israel presented evidence to the Russian army that the plane in question was in fact downed by Syrian forces, but Russia later rejected the claim and blamed the Jewish state for the loss.

According to analyst Amir Bohbot, Putin is now using the incident to shore up his damaged prestige as a result of recent Israeli actions against Iran in Syria.

"As senior officials think," he wrote at the Hebrew news website Walla, "Putin's tragic event has become a ripe fruit and he will leverage it to impose new rules of the game, such as ... much earlier warning systems, restrictions on traffic routes that will reduce the IDF's freedom of action on the sea and in the air," and to gain concessions from Israel and the US.

As a result, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, "will be required to fight not for Israel's honor but for the freedom of action of the Israeli Air Force and the ability to stand up for its security interests. ... Any result other than maintaining the IDF's freedom of action will be considered a failure."

Iran, said Bohbot, has yet to take advantage of the current tensions between Russia and Israel, "but time is pressing and every day in the Middle East is critical." The Russians, for their part, are playing for time: "They are in no hurry and according to Kremlin experts, they will rip Israel well until they make a final decision on how to act."

Some Israeli sources are warning that Putin may continue to smile at Netanyahu, while at the same time directing his defense ministry to close Syrian air space against all foreign aircraft, not just Israeli warplanes. This would shut down Israel's air campaign for eradicating Iran's military grip on Syria - or bring it in conflict with Russian forces.

This would happen if the US and Israel decided for their part, to put Putin's directive to the test. Therefore, just as Russia's air force is no doubt planning its next steps in Syria, so too are the US and Israel.

Longtime Israeli analyst Ehud Yaari also chimed in, writing for Israel's Channel 2: "From the US perspective, we hear a lot of talk from President Trump and sources around him about their determination to curb Iranian activity and subversion in the region."

This, however, is just talk, and has not resulted in meaningful action, said Yaari. "In practical terms, the US has left Israel alone to deal with Iran's dangerous actions in Syria and to stand and deal alone with the presence of the Russian air force there," he said.

Russia's Actions In Syria Threaten A Broader War - By Shoshana Bryen - http://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=2597

The delivery of Russian S-300 air defenses to Syria threatens to broaden the war there, as these advanced systems could allow for a conflict with Israel.

By announcing this delivery, to be made in the coming two weeks, the Russian military appears to be on the side of Iran and hostile to Israel, neither of which is part of President Vladimir Putin's approach to the Middle East or, for that matter, the future of Russia.

Russia saved the Syrian regime from collapse by bringing in air power and encouraging the Iranians and their allies in Hezbollah to provide renewed muscle for ground fighting. Russia brought in its top aircraft, including the Su-35, protected its main base Khmeimim with the formidable S-400 Triumf missile defense system, and worked out a deal with Israel.

Iran contributed large numbers of Shiite mercenaries, including jihadi fighters, Pakistanis, and Afghans led by Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) officers.

The Israeli-Russian deal instituted a "deconfliction" system so that Israel could maintain certain red lines in Syria without encountering Russian fighter aircraft or missiles launched from Khmeimim. The deal was recently upgraded to keep Syrian, Iranian, and Hezbollah forces away from the border with Israel.

One Israeli red line is the acquisition by Hezbollah of sophisticated missiles. Iranians transport missiles to Hezbollah through Syria because the military part of the Damascus airport is heavily defended unlike the one in Beirut (the alternative option), and because the airbase is better protected against commando operations.

Israel has focused on staging areas and warehouses, many of them clearly under the control of the Syrian military. To keep Israel away, some of the warehouse roofs have been painted with UN symbols or with DHL logos. This backfired, however, as it makes it easier for Israel to find its targets.

Israel is looking for missiles manufactured primarily by Iran, but also those from China, North Korea, or re-transferred to Syria but made in Russia. Some are based on Russian designs and others on Chinese rockets, such as the WS-1 Weishi (Guardian). While most are unguided, they represent a threat to Israeli communities, especially in the north, including large cities such as Haifa, which has already suffered missile attacks from Hezbollah.

Other Israeli operations appear to have targeted Iranian troops -- including IRGC officers. Last July, Israel allegedly destroyed a Revolutionary Guard center near Aleppo. In January 2015, Israel hit a convoy, killing six Hezbollah soldiers, and Mohammad Ali Allahdadi, a Brigadier General in the Quds Force of the IRGC.

The Quds Force is an elite commando force of the Revolutionary Guards that reports directly to Ayatollah Khamenei. Its commander is Major General Qasem Soleimani. The same strike killed Jihad Mughniyah, an important Hezbollah leader.

One possible option for Israel is to surround Iran's military forces including proxies and force Hezbollah to fight with them. In this way, both forces could potentially be defeated, even liquidated. Israel has been carrying out extensive military training and planning, as well as military drills that even include a war scenario where Russia is directly involved.

The Americans have now been added to the mix.

Last August, National Security Adviser John Bolton said that Putin would like to see the Iranians leave Syria, but lacks the influence to get rid of them (whether that is true or not, it is a signal from Putin). Putin has sent other signals about his concern with the Iranians, because Iran could very well threaten Russia's interest in Syria or force Russia into a war it does not want or need.

Just this week, Bolton laid down an American red line, announcing that the US would remain in Syria as long as there were Iranian troops and their proxies there.

This is the bigger war that is potentially brewing in Syria -- mostly concerning Israel and Iran. The Russian response to losing its Il-20M aircraft to Syrian fire appears to bring that war closer instead of postponing it, and could jeopardize Russia's ability to remain in Syria.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was quick to telephone the Russian president about the incident. Shortly afterwards, Putin made it clear that the shooting down was "a chain of tragic accidental circumstances," and not Israel's fault. He also directed his military to keep the deconfliction mechanism in place. An Israeli delegation in Moscow provided a detailed account of its mission in Syria on the night the plane was shot down.

Even so, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced Russia was moving its S-300 air defense system to Syria. Shoigu noted that Russia had suspended the delivery of the S-300 system in 2013 "at the request of Israel." He said Syrian gunners were already trained and the S-300 would arrive in Damascus within a fortnight. The minister made clear this was retaliation.

Most important, Shoigu added that Russia would henceforth "jam satellite navigation, onboard radars, and communication systems of combat aircraft that attack targets in the Syrian territory, in the regions over the waters of the Mediterranean Sea bordering with Syria."

Israel probably has tactics to deal with the S-300. The Pentagon has confirmed that Iran tested and deployed the S-300, which was delivered in 2016 and took two years to become operational. Israel and the US believe these missiles have boosted Iranian air defenses at least a full generation.

A similar system in Syria may take time to become operational, despite the training back in 2013 of Syrian operators -- unless, of course, the Syrians bring in Iranians to do it for them. This would be a game changer and could be enough to trigger a broader war.

This would put the Russians in a much more dangerous position. Instead of Syrian missiles being only an incidental target when they engage Israeli aircraft, the S-300 could potentially become a target of the Israeli Air Force.

That would be bad news for Putin, who wants to stabilize Syria, retain his bases there, and avoid more war. Putin's strategic objective would seem to be to work a deal, principally with the United States but with Israel's agreement, that would recognize Russia's long-term interest in Syria as a "guardian" of whatever future Syrian government is agreed to. Iran is a big sticking point, and the S-300 could make matters much worse.

It is unclear if the Russian military might be willing to risk a confrontation with Israel. While upset about the destruction of the Il-20M, they have long wanted to be considered a top power like the US. Putin shares these concerns, but he also has to worry about the impact of precipitous military decisions on the whole Russian state.

To have any hope of delivering an end to the war in Syria that preserves Russian bases and influence, Putin has to keep the Iranians away from the S-300 in Syria, or delay its delivery into the unforeseeable future.

Is The Bible True Or Not?

Is The Bible True Or Not? - By Grant Phillips -

Why is it so hard for some people to believe the Bible? The Bible is the Word of God delivered to mankind through men set apart by God to deliver His message. The Spirit of God spoke through these writers, using their own personalities, to deliver the divine message to mankind. Yet, so many people from all walks of life simply cannot believe its words are from God, but instead consider it to be composed of the opinions of the writers, fables and fairy tales. Few today consider the Bible, in its entirety to be the absolute inerrant (incapable of being wrong) Word from Almighty God (in the original languages). God informs mankind through the apostle Paul:

"All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:16) ["Inspired" means literally "God-breathed." Every word comes from God.]

"Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words. But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one. For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, THAT HE WILL INSTRUCT HIM? But we have the mind of Christ." (1 Corinthians 2:12-16)

How does the true Christian "have the mind of Christ?" The true Christian has "the mind of Christ" by the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit within us. He/she also "has the mind of Christ" in the Bible we hold in our hands. To the unbeliever it is just a book, but to the believer it is a book that contains the words of God.

God said through a man named Moses, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." (Genesis 1:1) Do you believe it?

God said through the apostle John, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it." (John 1:1-5) ["Comprehend" means "overcome."] Jesus, the 2nd person of the Godhead, not only created the world, He is the light of the world. Do you believe it?

I ask again, why is it so hard for some people to believe the Bible? Jesus gives us the answer through the apostle John.

"You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies." (John 8:44)

Any person who does not believe in Jesus Christ as their own personal Savior and Lord is under the thumb of Satan (the Devil). Their father is the Devil. The Devil (Satan) "is a liar and the father of lies." "There is no truth in him." Those under his thumb cannot believe the Truth, because they listen to their father instead of the Word of God. Their only escape from Satan is to accept the provision God made to save them, and that again is the Son of God who died and rose again.

God says through the apostle Paul, "May it never be! Rather, let God be found true, though every man be found a liar, as it is written, "THAT YOU MAY BE JUSTIFIED IN YOUR WORDS, AND PREVAIL WHEN YOU ARE JUDGED."" (Romans 3:4)

God says through the apostle John, "Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son." (1 John 2:22)

"The one who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself; the one who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given concerning His Son." (1 John 5:10)

So obviously, if we do "not believe God," who speaks to us through His Word (the Bible) we are calling Him a liar.

"Jesus said to him, ""I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me."" (John 14:6)

Are any of these verses believable to you, or do you just brush them off as "not important?"

ALL Scripture is from God and ALL Scripture is relevant. Not a word in the Bible is written from the viewpoint of men unless their viewpoint agrees with God's Word. They wrote what God, through His Spirit, had them write. Don't think so?

God says to us through the apostle Peter, "So we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts. But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one's own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God." (2 Peter 1:19-21 emphasis mine)

Prophecy is (from Blue Letter Bible):

A discourse emanating from inspiration and declaring the purposes of God, whether by reproving and admonishing the wicked, or comforting the afflicted, or revealing things hidden; esp. by foretelling future events.

Used in the NT of the utterance of OT prophets of the prediction of events relating to Christ's kingdom and its speedy triumph, together with the consolations and admonitions pertaining to it, the spirit of prophecy, the divine mind, to which the prophetic faculty is due of the endowment and speech of the Christian teachers called prophets.

The gifts and utterances of these prophets, esp. of the predictions of the works of which, set apart to teach the gospel, will accomplish for the kingdom of Christ.

1 Corinthians 2:12-16 (shown above) tells us that the natural man (the unbeliever) cannot understand the Bible because they do not have the Holy Spirit living within them. No wonder they think it is just a hodgepodge of historical, fanciful writings.

The last puzzling question in my mind related to this subject matter is, "What excuse does the person have who claims to be a Christian, but yet denies the Bible as the authoritative, inerrant Word of God? Why are you blind to the Truth? I humbly suggest, for your own spiritual welfare, maybe you need to consider the following Scripture.

"Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you-unless indeed you fail the test?" (2 Corinthians 13:5)

Is the Bible true or not? Maybe some of it is true and the remainder is not true? If that is the case (and it is not), who decides what is true and what is not true? Either the Bible is true in its entirety, or none of it is true.

I have said this in two previous articles, but I'll repeat it once more. As an 18 year old Christian, I made a decision against the liberal viewpoint which stated that some of the Bible was true and some was not. I chose to believe it all to not only be true, but to be the very Words of Almighty God and totally inerrant in the original languages. I chose to believe this precious book we call the Bible is absolutely true from Genesis 1:1 through Revelation 22:21. The longer the Lord allows me to live upon this earth, the more certain I am that I made the correct decision.

The world (Satan and his pals) is going to come at you with all kinds of liberal nonsense, trying to tear down the authenticity of the Bible. You can allow it to deter you from the Truth and take your soul to hell or you can believe the Bible and act upon it and be victorious, spending eternity with your Savior and Lord Jesus Christ.

I will add that the world can be very convincing. It is very convincing because Satan is the father of lies, and he has had a lot of time to be the best at it. Don't even try to answer all the liberal drivel. Leave them in God's hands, and just believe HIM.

Think about this. If you suddenly got an interest in learning how to fish, would you go to the person who has fished all of his life and knows all about it, or would you go to someone who doesn't even know which end of the fishing pole to hold? Now that may not be the best example, but I prefer to believe God (the Creator) over anything that comes from the mouth of man (the created).

Satan convinced Eve (and Adam) to not take God seriously. We all know how that panned out. If Satan can succeed in convincing us that the Bible doesn't need to be taken seriously (as he did Eve), where does that leave mankind? It can only result in confusion, chaos, rebellion, apostasy, and judgment.

"The Word of God is alive and powerful ..." (Hebrews 4:12). Don't let Satan steal the joy in Jesus Christ you could have by taking His Word lightly. The entire Bible is the very Word of God.

If you don't know Jesus as your Savior and Lord, His book, the Bible, will tell you what He has done for you. Read it and put your faith in Him. Trust Him.

Maybe you are a Christian, but weak in faith. Read the Bible. Believe it. Trust your Savior and Lord, not the trash talk that comes from a world bound for judgment.

Make your decision today to believe the Bible in its entirety, even if all the world says differently. Only God will always give us the Truth, and His Truth is found in His Word, the Bible.

The Apostle Paul warned Timothy, "In the last days... men will be... malicious gossips... treacherous...." (2 Timothy 3:1-4 NASB)

Later in the same chapter he declares that in those days, "Evil men and seducers will wax worse and worse." (2 Timothy 3:13 KJV)

And Paul didn't even know about social media, fake news, or The New York Times!

"Mainstream Media" wasn't even in his vocabulary!

When it comes to discussing how these conditions are present today, I think the combat fighter pilot's term fits perfectly: It's a target-rich environment.

Setting aside the mind-numbing insanity of the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation ambush (that's not "target-rich," that's "target-overload"), on this week's program I will discuss two recent incidents that perfectly fit Paul's warning. And they both involve literal threats to our nation's well-being and, perhaps, survival.

A few weeks ago, The New York Times Editorial page ran a piece by someone it called, "a senior administration official." The op-ed was written by an "anonymous" author (or authors), but the paper's editors assured us they knew who wrote it.

The identifying phrase, "a senior administration official," is intentionally vague.

Barack Obama's former chief strategist, David Axelrod says that description includes all who carry "the title of assistant to the president and all cabinet officials." That means it can only refer to the very top leadership in an administration.

The supposedly "senior" official (remember, it's The New York Times) wrote: "The dilemma -- which [President Trump] does not fully grasp -- is that many senior officials in his own administration are working diligently from within to frustrate parts of his agenda and his worst inclinations. I would know. I am one of them."

He, she, or they said that the Administration's successes "have come despite -- not because of -- the President's leadership style, which is impetuous, adversarial, petty and ineffective."

Friends, I believe with great confidence that the author(s) of that op-ed is lying.

If high-ranking members of the Administration really believed the President might go "off the rails," they would certainly not write about their undercover activities in the nation's "newspaper of record." Making it public would undermine their efforts. Calling attention to themselves would only warn their superiors to be on-guard and watchful.

If you are genuinely worried that someone is unstable and might harm themselves or others, why would you push them toward paranoia?

Unless that is your goal.

No one who truly loves this country and its institutions and freedoms would intentionally try to weaken or break the trust between the President and his highest officials. And that is clearly what this editorial intends.

It is an extreme example of the prophesied increase in "malicious gossip" and treachery in the last days.

Not to be outdone by its Editorial cousin, The New York Times News division raced to get in on the action. It published a story in which it claimed that U.S. Deputy Attorney-General Rod Rosenstein had "proposed wearing a wire" to his meetings with President Trump. The article stated that Rosenstein wanted to expose the President's chaotic style of leadership.

(I'm not sure, but I don't think an unorthodox "style of leadership" necessarily constitutes a crime, or even a threat! But then I'm only a normal American. I don't understand such complicated concepts!)

The Times insists that Rosenstein was serious. However, sources for other news organizations say that Rosenstein did say it, but he was only being sarcastic.

The New York Times also claims that Mr. Rosenstein considered lobbying members of the Cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment and remove President Trump from office.

Now, Deputy Attorney-General Rosenstein (remember, he is the de facto chief law enforcement officer in the nation since his boss, Attorney-General Jeff Sessions seems to be in some sort of perpetual, limboesque "recusal" from everything but immigration and gang-related issues) explicitly denies believing Trump should be removed from office.

But his denials are vague, at best.

The Times story itself raises other questions. It says, "Several people described the episodes in interviews over the past several months, insisting on anonymity to discuss internal deliberations. The people were briefed either on the events themselves or on memos written by F.B.I. officials."

Note the word, "briefed." That simply means The New York Times used sources that had only HEARD secondhand about the events and memos. Of course, it goes without saying that FBI communications of any sort should now be viewed with great suspicion.

Judge Judy would call that "hearsay" and "inadmissible."

You and I might call it "gossip."

The Apostle Paul would probably double down and call it "malicious gossip!"

Even so, portions of the Times story have been confirmed by other sources. Deputy Attorney-General Rosenstein apparently did discuss wearing a wire to record his conversations with the President.

Even if he were just joking, it is disturbing. It's difficult enough to be President of the United States in such a polarized, antagonistic political atmosphere. But President Trump is having to govern in times when "malicious gossip" and "treacherous" men (and women) are running wild.

Just as the Bible predicted.

Last week, Jews around the world celebrated Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. It is the holiest day on the Jewish calendar.

On Yom Kippur 45 years ago (October 6, 1973), the Arab world launched a sneak attack on the nation of Israel. The blitz caught Israel off-guard on both fronts.

In addition to Egypt and Syria, Israel faced forces from Jordan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, and even Cuba. All supported and supplied by the Soviet Union.

The "Yom Kippur War," as it is known today, was not like any of Israel's previous wars. This time, Arab armies scored major, dramatic victories. Israeli casualties were the highest yet. It appeared that the Arabs would finally fulfill their dream of pushing the Jews into the sea.

But Israel held on and was slowly able to fully mobilize its forces. At a heavy cost in personnel and equipment, they began to repel the Arabs.

After the Soviet Union reacted quickly and began to resupply the Arab armies, U.S. President Richard Nixon hesitantly decided to begin a full-scale resupply effort for Israel. Once that massive resupply began, the tide fully turned. Soon, the IDF was advancing on Cairo and shelling suburbs of Damascus.

A United Nations-brokered ceasefire saved Egypt and Syria from almost unimaginable defeat.

There are myriad stories of inexplicable incidents that occurred during the fighting that prevented Israel from being overrun. For Israelis who lived through the Yom Kippur War, one word comes up again and again: Miracle!

Israel triumphed because God intervened.

It wasn't the first time and it won't be the last.

Five Reasons Churches Should Teach Bible Prophecy

Five Reasons Churches Should Teach Bible Prophecy - By Hal Lindsey - https://www.hallindsey.com/ww-9-27-2018/

My name has been associated with the teaching of Bible prophecy for a long time. But I also understand the need for balance in the pulpit. The Bible addresses a whole range of issues that are pertinent to our lives. All those things need to be taught.

When I say churches should teach Bible prophecy, I am not saying that every pastor has to specialize in it. But I am saying it needs to be included in his teaching. Here are some reasons why.

1 - Prophecy teaching provides balance. We say we want balanced teaching. Somewhere between one-fourth and one-third of the Bible deals with prophecy. How can we be balanced if we leave out such a large and integral portion of scripture?

2 - Prophecy is God's stamp of authenticity. Truth is God's signature. The fulfillment of prophecy is His chosen way of authenticating His word. We see it in Deuteronomy 18:22 where the legitimacy of a prophet is proven by whether or not his prophecies come true.

In Isaiah 41:21-23 God shows the foolishness of idol worship by challenging idols to foretell the future. The New Living Translation says, "'Present the case for your idols,' says the Lord. 'Let them show what they can do,' says the King of Israel. 'Let them try to tell us what happened long ago so that we may consider the evidence. Or let them tell us what the future holds, so we can know what's going to happen. Yes, tell us what will occur in the days ahead. Then we will know you are gods.'"

God alone tells us "what will occur in the days ahead." Since He's the only One who knows the future, prophecy proves that only He could have inspired the Bible.

3 - Prophecy aids evangelism. We're all intrigued by the future. In that way, prophecy draws the curious. But it's not like a carnival sideshow. Once they begin to seriously consider prophecy, they quickly see the truth and relevance of God's word to all areas of life.

When people see ancient prophecies fulfilled in the world around them, it provides overwhelming evidence that they can and should trust God with their lives. With present-day fulfillment of end times prophecy, what seemed like an old book written by ancient primitives comes to life as God's word for us today!

4 - Prophecy motivates us toward right living. 2 Timothy 4:8 speaks of "all who have loved His appearing." I have no statistics on this, but I have a lot of experience working with Christians through the years. From that experience I can tell you that those "who have loved His appearing," tend to live their lives with an eternal perspective. That perspective causes them to invest their time, money, and attention in things that matter - things of eternal value.

5 - Jesus taught prophecy. The New Testament teaches us that Jesus is to be our example. (John 13:14-15, Mark 10:43-45, 2 Corinthians 8:8-9, Philippians 2:5) And Jesus taught prophecy. He used Old Testament prophecy to authenticate Himself as the Messiah. He used prophecy to explain that His coming would be in two parts. He foretold events of the end times.
He is our example. He taught prophecy. We should, too.

Modern Warfare: III - Total War

There appears to be growing majority within Christendom today who are more than happy to straddle the fence of conformity. They do not see that the world has become increasingly dark and wicked, primarily because their eyes have adjusted to the darkness. They think they are open-minded for embracing cultural decadence and rejecting the objective truths the Bible puts forth. They reject the exclusivity of the gospel as being too offensive for our progressive age. They think their post-modern, ecumenical approach is somehow more tolerant and loving. They do not realize that war is on the horizon, and soon all have to take sides. Our enemy is not interested in a peace, nor does he believe in live and let live. He is waging war because he knows he has but a short time.

Simply put, total war is a war without limitations or boundaries. We could think back to World Wars I and II as examples of this. The Bible forecasts four future total wars, as well as several other scenarios in which war is strongly implied (albeit at the regional level). These wars of the future will not only reorder the world geopolitically, but will also abolish most of the world's religions. Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Roman Catholicism, and the rest (save Judaism and Christianity) will be rolled up into a mystery religion known only as the whore. Even she will be overthrown, and will have her idolatrous focus turned into worshipping the man known as Antichrist.

(?)-timing unknown

(R)-timing after the Rapture, but before the 70th Week (aka the Tribulation) officially begins

(T)-occurs during the Tribulation

Regional Wars

(?) Psalm 83-All of the Arab-speaking Sunni nations/groups who currently border Israel, attack her in one final attempt to push her into the sea. They not only lose this battle, but Israel ends up doubling in size.

(?) Isaiah 17-The destruction of Damascus. Essentially, Syria has gone from being a nation, to just another war-torn battle zone. How this total destruction comes about, along with its permanence, implies a nuclear event. Nuking Damascus may solve the problem of vaporizing the tons of toxic chemical weapons stored in hardened bunkers underneath the city.

Total Wars

(R) Ezekiel 38-39-The Battle of Gog and Magog primary players are Russia, Turkey, and Iran (Persia). Also in their coalition is Sudan and Libya. Those who you would think be there, but are not, is Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Egypt. Also conspicuously missing is Israel's greatest benefactor, the United States.

(T) Revelation 6:3-4-The Rider on the Red Horse sweeps in global war after the Rapture and while the EU is trying to consolidate her global authority. These nations are those who rebel against that authority.

(T) Rev. 9:13-19-The Two-Hundred Million Horsemen sweep across Asia and kill millions.

(T) Revelation 19-The Battle of Armageddon is the last battle in the 70th Week and is where all the nations of the world gather in one last attempt to destroy Israel. They are interrupted by Christ (and His armies) who return and destroy them instead. See also Zechariah 14.

Granted, these wars are primarily in the view from Israel's perspective. There could be other scenarios that play out before, during, or after the ones mentioned above, which affects other nations or regions. Furthermore, we are not told exactly how and when all the above happen, with the exception being Armageddon.

The Grand Plan

The speed at which modernization is occurring finally brings us to man's propensity for destruction and Satan's lack of alternatives. Once you realize that humans on planet earth are the only options Satan has to use in his war against God, you can see Satan's hand behind our rapidly advancing civilization. Especially since Israel became a nation again in 1948. However, from a military standpoint, we must look at Satan's agenda from three different perspectives: the strategic, operational, and tactical realms.

Strategic: the campaign plans and themes, which encompasses the art and science (at the national level) to achieve either national or multinational objectives. From a spiritual perspective, this is the big picture of war at its highest levels. Satan's overarching plan is to prevent God's plans from becoming reality.

Example: Since Abraham and his descendants were first identified to become God's chosen people (Ex. 19:5, Deut. 14:2, Jer. 31:9-11, etc.), Satan's strategic objective has been all about wiping them off the face of the planet. He has used every major Gentile world power for the past 4,000 years to do so. The Egyptians, the Assyrians, the Babylonians, the Greeks, the Romans, the Nazi's, and now the Muslim world have all tried to destroy them, albeit, unsuccessfully.

Operational: the medium or mid-level engagements broken down by specific campaigns all used to achieve the strategic objective.

Example: Some campaigns were purely about destroying the Jewish people (Pharaoh, Philistines, Sennacherib, Haman the Agagite, Antiochus Epiphanes IV, Adolph Hitler). Some campaigns were all about corrupting them as a people (Korah, Balaam, Pharisees, Gnostics, Rothschild's, Adam Weishaupt, Karl Marx, etc.). Some serious misinformation campaigns have also falsely been waged against the Jewish people vis a vis anti-Semitic propaganda (Scrolls of the Elders of Zion, Islam).

Tactical: the smallest or lowest levels of engagements. These are battles or engagements, and are usually rolled up into campaigns, which all are centered on achieving the overarching strategy.

Example: When Satan personally tempted Christ in the wilderness to use His power or to worship Satan, or how he (or his minions) target each of us every single day to wear us down so that we become ineffective.

Satan knows he cannot destroy the Church, because Christ said as much (Matt. 16:18-19). However, Satan also knows he cannot defeat God, well, because he has tried before and lost. What he is aiming for here, is a zero-sum ending. The only card he has left to play is in trying to destroy the nation of Israel before Christ can return. He figures if he can do that, he's broken prophecy, and Christ will have to renegotiate the terms of Satan's damnation.

"For 4,000 years the Jewish people have faced relentless persecution, opposition, and attempts to annihilate and destroy them; and in the future, the struggle against Israel continues. If it concerned any other people, this campaign would seem totally irrational and insane. However, with Israel, a rational but very satanic strategy sustains this animosity. For Satan, the destruction of Israel is a matter of self-preservation. Ultimately, the survival of Israel results in the eternal perdition of Satan. How can this be? Because when Israel repents and nationally invites the Lord Jesus Christ to be its own Redeemer / Messiah, that generation of Israel will be saved, and Satan's plan to destroy the Jews will be finally defeated. Christ will return to the Earth, destroy the satanic antichrist and his armies at Armageddon, establish His Kingdom over Israel and the world for 1,000 years, and then cast the still rebellious Satan into the Lake of Fire forever and ever." (Rev. 20:10) (Thomas S. McCall, Zola-Levitt Ministries)

Corrupting the Land

During the almost two-thousand yearlong diaspora, the land of Israel lay a perpetual wasteland. Like an ancient Chernobyl or Fukishima, the land of Israel seemed cursed and forbidden, as if a dark, poisonous cloud hung over anyone who attempted to inhabit it through conquest. God's intent was that it lay dormant until its rightful rulers (i.e., the Jewish people-see Ezekiel 37) came back into the land exactly when God intended them to do so. And so it has been.

When the Romans under General Titus sacked and conquered Jerusalem in 70AD, up until the Bar Kokhba Revolt in 132AD, a semblance of Jews still remained in the land, albeit, in more of a squatter-status, than as citizens. But by the end of the Bar Kokhba Revolt in 135AD, the Roman Emperor Hadrian ousted every last Jew from the land, salted the ground so nothing would grow, and then renamed the area Syria Palaestinaso that even the land no longer bore a Jewish name. He attempted to erase their ties to the land forever.

From 135AD until 1517, the ownership of the land of Israel was turned over and over again and continuously fought over by various succeeding Gentile kingdoms: The Romans, Byzantines, Sassanid's, Umayyad's, Abbasids, Tulunids, Fatimid's, Crusaders, and Mamelukes all had their day in the sun. It wasn't until the last kingdom, the Ottoman Turks, held the land for 400 years (or eight Jubilees) until they eventually lost it at the end of World War I. Jerusalem was still divided and would remain so until the Six Day War (1967). At the conclusion of that war, the Muslims were strangely allowed to retain authority over the last and most important part of Jerusalem, the Temple Mount. At some point in the not too distant future, the Muslims will finally lose control over this, and then the Jews will build their third temple.

Corrupting Their Legitimacy

Throughout the 1,878-year Jewish diaspora, Satan has been exceedingly busy corrupting anything Jewish. From the reintroduction of pre-Christian Talmudic writings, to the first century Pharisees and Judaizers, Christianity was challenged at every step. The reason for this, is that Christianity is fulfilled (or realized) Judaism through the promised Messiah, Jesus Christ.

Following Christ and His Apostles rose the Gnostics and proponents of Jewish mysticism. They produced such aberrant teachings as the Zohar and other Kabbalisticwritings. Satan was particularly busy in the 17th-18th centuries corrupting particular Jews into propagating such nefarious deeds that it would poison their ethnic identity forever. The Rothschild's, Adam Weishaupt (founder of the Illuminati), Karl Marx, Vladimir Lenin, Leon Trotsky, Sigmund Freud, and numerous Nazi-members who did their best to deny and ignore their own heritage.

These all did terrible and staggering damage to the human race by bringing in new world order ideologies, Social Darwinism, and other socio-political models responsible for the deaths of hundreds of millions of people in the 20th-century. In fact, almost every modern conspiracy theory today can in some way be traced back to the Jews in some form or fashion. Whether it be from the Elders of Zion propaganda, or some other nonsense that shows them trying to take over the world, the Jews are continually blamed for everything.

What we see today in the Middle East and now Europe is the rekindling of these irrational flames of Anti-Semitism, primarily amongst Muslim and socialist populations worldwide. This began toward the end of World War II when it looked like the Nazi's were not going to win the war. This was and still is, a satanically inspired failsafe measure Satan put in place should Hitler and the Nazi's fail to complete the Final Solution. Thus, we can see the complexity, intricacy, and lengths Satan has gone to destroy the land of Israel and their legitimacy. However, all of Satan's schemes have failed and God still got the land and the people back in there, who would fulfill their role in these last days.

Destroying the People

As prophesied (Deuteronomy 28:64, Leviticus 26:33), the Jews would be scattered throughout the world during their diaspora. However, their ability to remain a unique and distinct people group, is every bit as much a miracle as was the rebirth of their nation in 1948. God sustained them (Isaiah 49:15-16, 66:22) as promised despite the fact they rejected their own Messiah and had Him condemned to death (Matt. 27:25). Although their preservation was supernatural and divinely appointed, it would not be without first being disciplined and through much suffering (Deut. 28:65, Jeremiah 30:11).

Just about every major kingdom that rose to power during those two millennia persecuted them. The Jews would find no respite from the Romans or the Byzantines, nor the French, the English, the Spanish, the Russians, and just about every major European power that existed until the founding of the United States. The Roman Catholic Church would be particularly cruel to the Jews during its various Inquisitions. Even the newly formed Protestant leader (Martin Luther) was so frustrated at his initial attempts to convert them that he ended up cursing them as anathema.

Satan tried to prevent the coming of the Jewish Messiah on at least two separate occasions. The first time, he influenced Pharaoh to have all the Hebrew males who were born there in Egypt, to be drowned in the Nile (for population control purposes) (Exodus 1:16, 22). The second time was under King Herod. He two targeted male children under the age of two, to destroy the One who was born King of the Jews (Matt. 2). While these human leaders may have had different justifications, Satan did not know when this Messiah would be born. So we can reasonably assume Satan was there whispering in their ears of these leaders that the Jewish boys had to be destroyed, because both of these were attempts at preventing the birth and life of a Messiah. This persecution will only intensify as we draw closer to the end of the age.

"Through his cunning He shall cause deceit to prosper under his rule; and he shall exalt himself in his heart. He shall destroy many in their prosperity. He shall even rise against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without human means. Daniel 8:25

This man, the Antichrist, also called the man of sin and the son of perdition (2 Thess. 2:3), will be Satan's instrument to gather all the nations of the world against Israel. He uses 1) economic and political control, 2) religious power through false signs and wonders, and 3) united military might. While all these seem disconnected and disjointed in today's modern world, Satan will use crisis to bring all three together under one final governmental system.

Furthermore, the massive ramp up of increasingly complex weapons seems very much like overkill. Considering that, around ten nuclear bombs could ruin life on planet earth for everything, why would we need thousands? Why would we need anti-matter weapons? Why does CERN operate a machine that could potentially create a black hole and destroy all life on earth? The reason is relatively simple. If Satan cannot prevent Christ from physically returning, then he will execute what the Israelis today call the Samson Option. He will attempt to destroy Israel and the world in one fail swoop in an attempt to break bible prophecy.

Think about it, if Satan could destroy the Jews, Israel and Jerusalem, then theoretically, he could break God's word. We know that he cannot do that, but he probably thinks he still can. Secondarily to that, a theory posits that Satan is attempting to introduce such catastrophic weapons that he can levy against Christ and His armies at His return, should he not achieve his first goal. This is why we are seeing the proliferation of quantum physics gain much traction in the last few years. Not only have that but also energy and particle beam weapons, and armaments that attack things at the molecular level. Furthermore, he is behind CERNs attempt at opening up another dimension, which my theory believes will unintentionally open up the abyss. He is down on his numbers (he only began with a third of the angelic hosts), so he is attempting to add more fallen angels back to his forces who are currently confined.

In fact, Jesus warned that this coming period was so bad, that if He did not intervene, no flesh would survive (Matthew 24:21-22). That would not be possible if mankind did not have the weapons capable of destroying the earth.

And it shall come to pass in all the land,"
Says the Lord,
"That two-thirds in it shall be cut off and die,
But one-third shall be left in it:
I will bring the one-third through the fire,
Will refine them as silver is refined,
And test them as gold is tested.
They will call on My name,
And I will answer them.
I will say, 'This is My people';
And each one will say, 'The Lord is my God.' "
