Israel and Trump's war on the coronavirus - by Caroline B. Glick - https://www.israelhayom.com/opinions/israel-and-trumps-war-on-the-coronavirus/
The presidency of Donald Trump has shaped coalition talks between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Blue and White party chairman Benny Gantz. For weeks, the chief stumbling block holding up a unity government deal was Gantz's attempt to delay or block Israeli implementation of Trump's deal of the century, which green-lights the implementation of Israeli law over parts of Judea and Samaria.
Gantz argued that there was no reason to rush ahead, in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. Israel should wait six months until the danger passes and then figure out how to proceed. Netanyahu rejected Gantz's position. He insisted that Israel apply its laws to the Jordan Valley, the northern Dead Sea, and the Israeli communities in Judea and Samaria as soon as the joint US-Israeli mapping committee completes its work and pass the law applying Israeli law to the areas by early July, at the latest.
Netanyahu, whose position carried the day, was right to view the issue as urgent. To understand just how urgent it has become, we need to consider Trump's political challenges, seven months before the presidential election in November.
In the midst of the coronavirus pandemonium, major issues have fallen by the wayside. In Israel, no one remembers that Netanyahu's criminal trial was supposed to begin two weeks ago. In America, almost no one noticed that Wisconsin held Democratic presidential primaries on Tuesday between former vice president Joe Biden and socialist Senator Bernie Sanders. Sanders' decision to withdraw from the race following his defeat in Wisconsin would have been the story of the week a month ago. But in the event, no one really cared.
Although Biden is the party establishment's choice for nominee, he is not an ideal candidate. The 77-year-old career politician can't get through a public appearance without tripping on his tongue. In an interview with the friendliest of interviewers on MSNBC last week, for instance, Biden referred to Wuhan, China as Luhan and referred to the national drugstore chain CVS as CVC. Even sympathetic commentators are compelled to raise questions about his mental fitness for office.
In the face of Biden's constant gaffes, talk has exploded on the possibility that the Democrats will ignore the results of the primaries and draft New York Governor Andrew Cuomo as their presidential candidate. How this could happen is unclear. Biden has won the primaries. But in truth, it doesn't matter too much who ends up being the Democratic candidate - it won't decide the outcome of the race.
The coronavirus will.
The spread of the pandemic across the United States has reshuffled the political deck. Until the pandemic broke out, the US economy was prospering and Trump was reaping the rewards of the record unemployment, booming stock market and optimistic economic forecasts. His election rallies drew tens of thousands of supporters, whether they took place in the very red South Carolina or very blue California.
Then the coronavirus arrived. The virus upended Trump's electoral strategy and compelled him to change his basic governing philosophy. Trump is a rhetorical pugilist and a policy iconoclast. He thrives in appearances before a mass audience where he rallies large crowds while resonating their frustration with Washington's ruling class. The coronavirus has made rallies impossible.
As for his programmatic iconoclasm, the pandemic has compelled Trump to embrace "scientific experts," even as they, like their counterparts in the economic and national security spheres, have provided incorrect information and assessments about the coronavirus.
Trump rejected the "expert" opinion of the foreign policy "experts" and the economic "experts" in forging his successful foreign policies and economic policies. But given the massive uncertainty about the nature and danger of the coronavirus, ignoring scientific advice is far riskier a prospect, particularly in the midst of a public health crisis.
The problem is that the scientific experts themselves have built up a terrible track record. Dr. Anthony Fauci, the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and a member of Trump's coronavirus task force said in January that the virus wasn't a significant threat to the US Currently, Fauci and his expert colleagues in the federal medial bureaucracy are downplaying the potential of medicines that seem to work in treating the virus.
For instance, Fauci reportedly opposes recommending the use of drug combinations including hydroxychloroquine, which has brought positive results to coronavirus patients worldwide. They reportedly argue that the drugs, developed to treat other ailments, haven't been tested as rigorously as drugs generally are tested before being used for new purposes.
Likewise, despite the fact that the US has the ability to perform 500,000 coronavirus tests a day, last week only 100,000 were being performed daily because the Food and Drug Administration won't permit the use of tests produced by private firms.
In other words, in the midst of a pandemic that has shuttered the US economy, the "experts" are gumming up the works for freeing people to return to their jobs and restart the economy.
Democrats for their part are not crediting Trump for his willingness to defer to experts. Rather, as is their wont, the Democrats are moving the goalposts. Several Democratic governors have been using the pandemic as a means to score political points against Trump. Cuomo for instance, repeatedly accused Trump of responsibility for the shortages in medical protective equipment and respirators in New York - despite the fact that the federal government has been rushing massive quantities of supplies to New York and New Jersey to keep up with demand.
On January 29, against the advice of many medical experts, including the World Health Organization, Trump shut down air traffic from China to the US
Cuomo, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Biden, and the media attacked the move as racist. Cuomo, who demanded that the gates of America remain open to Chinese travelers, now accuses Trump of having ignored and downplayed the threat the coronavirus posed to the US.
Cuomo and his fellow Democratic politicians are lavishly supported by the media in their efforts to rewrite the history of the past two months. This week, for instance, the Associated Press published an article that rewrote the history of the past two months. The AP stating everyone was worried about the coronavirus except Trump - including Pelosi, who urged San Franciscans to participate in Chinese New Year's celebrations in San Francisco's Chinatown.
Whereas the Democrats and the media are going out of their way to protect China from criticism, it works out that China's behavior has been far more ominous than even its critics first alleged.
It is widely recognized that the Chinese regime waited two months to tell the world that the virus is transferred between humans and is exceedingly infectious. This week the New York Post reported that, while lulling the world into complacency, from late January to late February, the Chinese regime barred foreign medical supply companies with manufacturing plants in China from exporting their medical equipment. For instance, Chinese officials barred the US firm 3M from shipping protective gear to the US. China seized all of the coronavirus relevant equipment for itself.
Even worse, according to administration officials who spoke to the New York Post from late January until late February, the Chinese bought $1.2 billion worth of medical protective gear. This included two billion masks and more than 25 million protective suits.
In other words, while China was hiding the dangers of the made-in-China virus from the world, they were buying up the world's supply of protective gear and thus ensuring that when the virus began striking the rest of the world, the rest of the world would lack the means to protect itself.
Last week, Holland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland and Australia reported that the protective gear and virus detection tests they purchased from China were defective. Wednesday, Finland reported its Chinese gear was defective.
Despite this, since the pandemic broke out, the Democrats and the liberal media have served as a megaphone for Chinese propaganda. Today they parroted the Chinese data regarding the Chinese infection and death rate despite the fact that US intelligence agencies reported last week that the Chinese data are fraudulent.
Their motivation is obvious. They seek to paint Trump as incompetent. In light of their efforts, not only does Trump need to manage the crisis based on the advice of "experts" that have wrongly assessed the virus from the beginning. He needs to do so in an environment where his opponents are working with China to undermine public trust in his leadership.
This then brings us back to the elections. In Israel, the unemployment rate rose from 3% to 25% in two weeks. According to economist Stephen Moore, US unemployment rates are likely as well to rise from 3.5% at the end of February to 23% by the end of the month. 10 million new Americans registered as unemployed in the last week of March, the largest weekly figure in US history by a factor of more than ten.
To successfully lead the US through the crisis, while facing a concerted effort by the media, China, and Democrats to undermine the public's trust in him, Trump needs to figure out a way to get the US back to work within weeks while minimizing the infection and death rate even as he is receiving bad advice from his experts.
This brings us back to Israel where the stakes in Trump's success couldn't be higher.
On April 7, Forbes reported that Iran has deployed an array of anti-ship missiles and large rockets overlooking the Strait of Hormuz. Whereas Trump refuses to cancel US economic sanctions against Iran - while offering Iran humanitarian assistance in handling the coronavirus - last week Biden said that if he is elected president, he will cancel the US economic sanctions on Iran. The Democratic Party is committed to returning the US to the nuclear deal.
Last week, eight Democratic senators sent a letter to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo asking him to restore US aid to the Palestinian Authority.
All of this seems unrelated to the coronavirus, but of course, it isn't. It is clear that the same courage that enabled Trump to reject the advice of failed experts on Iran and the Palestinians is required in the war on the coronavirus. If Trump does not find the advisors that will help him to successfully shepherd the US through the coronavirus crisis and save the US economy from depression and collapse, the coronavirus will beat him in November.
This means that Netanyahu is right. We cannot know if Trump will beat the virus or if, with the lavish support of the Democrats, the "experts" and the media, the virus will beat him.
What is clear is that the future of Israel-US relations, like the fate of Iran's nuclear weapons program, will be determined by Trump's ability to win the war against the coronavirus.
The debate on saving COVID-19 lives - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com
Against the backdrop of the New York Times and CNN doing more hit pieces on President Donald Trump using COVID-19 Task Force's Dr. Fauci as the hitman, Americans should all be wondering when we are going to work together to solve this virus problem. Fauci answered a direct question about whether lives could have been saved if the government had acted sooner on the early information it had. Fauci replied, "Obviously you could logically say that if you had a process that was ongoing and you started mitigation earlier you could've saved lives, obviously." Thus, the words that created another firestorm of people accusing Trump of being a murderer. Sadly, this statement of fact will be abused now and forever.
Hindsight is usually picture perfect. Clearly, had anyone really known that COVID-19 was a virulent as it was, and that if the nation went into lockdown in February, lives could have been saved. It would be dense-minded to conclude otherwise. Democrats and the news media are focused on blaming Trump and his Administration for the deaths related to COVID-19. Fauci's connections to the World Health Organization and globalist foundations cause pause in his credibility from the standpoint that he could be someone on the inside who is collaborating with others to bring down the Trump presidency. Irrespective, the statement that shutting down the country earlier would have saved lives, is with all probability, true.
Let us remember what was happening in January. Trump was under relentless fire every day from the news media and the Democratic leadership trying to impeach him, remove him from office. To be approached about a flu virus at that time would have seemed nominal, and let us also remember that Trump's early attempts in January to address COVID-19 were met with ridicule and name calling from the Democratic leadership. This is clearly documented. For those who say that lives could have been saved if Trump would have acted to shut down the country sooner, the answer is yes. Then there is a big "BUT..." But, fact is, lives could have been saved if Democrats and the media hadn't been so focused on removing Trump.
If the Democratic leadership understood the COVID-19 threat (and they had more info than we did), why didn't they act in January instead of pursuing impeachment and ridiculing the President when he banned travel from China? To this day, no constructive suggestions arise from either the Democratic leadership or the news media about how to handle this plague. We are Americans. We have solved mighty problems and met insurmountable challenges when we have worked together. The headline today should read, "If Democrats would have worked with Republicans on COVID-19, lives would have been saved." Instead, the deception continues. Christ said in Matthew 24:4, "Take heed that no man deceive you." Instead of placing blame in the midst of a deadly crisis, give solutions to the problem. Apparently, they have none.
Global Digital ID With Vaccines Is Now Being Promoted As Way To Combat The Virus
By PNW Staff April 13, 2020
First, it was former UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown who called on world leaders to form a "temporary" global government in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
Then it was the United Nations Secretary-General asking nations to contribute at least ten percent of their annual income, essentially a global tax.
Now we have Bill Gates and other influential leaders suggesting another global solution - Global Digital ID as part of a vaccination program.
Bill Gates has emerged as a global "authority" in the wake of COVID-19, funding vaccines and advising governments on how to respond to the pandemic.
Gates was busily working to establish global digital ID infrastructure long before the outbreak, which is now being promoted as a way to combat the virus.
ID2020--a project initiated by Bill Gates Foundation, the Rockefeller Foundation, transnational pharmaceutical corporations, and technology firms--is pushing the concept that every human on the planet needs biometric verification because "to prove who you are is a fundamental and universal human right," according to the ID2020 website.
Gates is not the only one in favor of such systems. Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Anthony Fauci who appears with Trump at the daily news briefings recently confirmed in an interview with CNN that the idea of Americans carrying "certificates of immunity" is a possibility being considered to identify people who have been infected with the COVID-19 virus and help jump-start America's economy in the coming weeks.
The certificate of immunity is the pathway that Gates sees for introducing his Global Digial Id certification. Last month Gates was asked about such a certificate on a Reddit forum and said the following:
"Obviously, some kind of recording and tracking mechanism that relies on technology to alert -- in context of discussing coronavirus -- "who has recovered," versus who has "been tested," versus who has been administered a vaccine, "when we have one."
The similar thinking of Fauci and Gates should not come as a surprise. Both are well connected with one another. Fauci serves as a member of the Leadership Council for the Global Vaccine Action Plan.
This organization was established in part by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the World Health Organization and Fauci's own NIAID -- a plan that calls for a "Decade of Vaccines" to spread far and wide, all around the globe.
Bill Gates, one of the wealthiest men in the world, is already leading the charge to fund the construction of several factories that will be looking for a vaccine for this new virus and has suggested "larger public gatherings may not resume until broad vaccination has taken place."
"As countries begin to lift coronavirus lockdowns, biometric identification can help verify those who have already had the infection, and ensure that the vulnerable get the vaccine when it is launched, health and technology experts said," reports Reuters.
A biometric ID system can keep a record of the infected and those getting the vaccine, said Larry Dohrs, Southeast Asia head at iRespond, a Seattle-based nonprofit that launched its technology last month.
Under the "digital inclusion" initiative, Bill Gates has already been pushing for India's Aadhaar digital ID system to expand around the world prior to the outbreak. The World Bank is heavily invested in the project.
The GSMA - the industry organization for global mobile operators - recently published a report detailing the push for digital ID systems worldwide to respond to COVID-19. As reported:
State governments in India are adapting real-time digital identification mechanisms to monitor compliance with quarantines arising from the COVID-19 pandemic...
Meanwhile, the Jamaican government is looking to fast track the rollout of its National Identification System to help it dispense aid in response to the COVID-19 outbreak...
GSMA technologies are supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. As reported last year, the biometrics company Idemia joined the project:
Idemia has joined the newly launched GSMA Inclusive Tech Lab to support the development of innovations and future technologies that boost digital and financial inclusion...
The GSMA Inclusive Tech Lab intends to promote access to financial, healthcare, mobility, and other services by supporting initiatives around open APIs, artificial intelligence, and digital identity... The GSMA Inclusive Tech Lab is supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
Idemia is a central company involved in supplying the infrastructure needs of most digital and biometric ID systems around the world.
Idemia also makes drivers licenses in the United States.
Gates said in a 2018 CNBC interview that it was "too bad" if someone thought that Aadhaar was a privacy issue and that those who refuse to be tagged by this system will eventually become outcasts and denied basic services.
If you believe this is dangerously close to China's "social credit" system, you're not far off the mark.
Such a vaccine will eventually become mandatory and those who resist will be blacklisted as public health criminals. They will be locked out of society, similar to Chinese citizens suffering under China's totalitarian social credit system.
Biometric data, ID technology, health ratings/vaccination records, and digital commerce are all merging and advancing to the next level.
While we don't ultimately know what final form the "Mark of the Beast" described in the Book of Revelation will take - these trends all appear to be a foreshadowing of what may be to come.
Who's attacking WHO - Bill Wilson -
This list could include many items that would be of concern to conservative constitutionalists, generally.
But of specific concern to gun owners is the gun control that Pelosi could try to sneak into a COVID-19 relief package -- things like Red Flag gun confiscation orders, and more.
Our federal lobbyists have been communicating with Senate Republican offices, and right now, it's too early to tell where the anti-gun Democrat leadership is going to make their big push.
Yes, there are anti-gun congressmen who are demanding that Red Flag gun confiscation orders be added to the relief bill. And so Republican Senators need to hear that this would be a non-starter.
But they also need to hear that grassroots gun owners oppose the big push by the anti-gun Left to use the relief package to change the playing field so that anti-gun Democrats will be elected in perpetuity.
It's no secret that gun grabbers desperately want to force all states to adopt mail-in ballots -- a system that is already rife with fraud and which disproportionately benefits anti-gun Democrats.
In fact, we know that Democrats have already tried (in an earlier COVID-19 relief package) to stick in Senator Elizabeth Warrens plan to require that all states allow mail-in ballots.
If youre familiar with the term ballot harvesting, this is precisely how anti-gun Democrats were able to take control of the Congress during the last election and put Pelosi in charge.
Mail-in ballots facilitate fraudulent voting, and as already stated, these always benefit the anti-gun side.
But politically, heres the problem.
When Donald Trump rejects the Democrat wish-list agenda -- and Pelosi uses that refusal to stall the COVID-19 relief package -- the Democrats will say that he places millionaires and billionaires above the interests of poor victims of the coronavirus. Every media outlet in America will echo this narrative 24 hours a day.
But two can play this game.
If forced to vote on the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act and the Veterans 2nd Amendment Protection Act, anti-gun Democrats would lose their majority in the House and probably lose seats in the Senate.
GOA fought this same type of battle in 2013 -- and won.
We worked with pro-gun Senators to offer the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act and the Veterans 2nd Amendment Protection Act as amendments to Obamas post-Sandy Hook gun control bill.
Not only did we kill every word of gun control, but the Senate that killed UBCs picked up additional pro-gun seats in the next election.
All it took was pushing forward a pro-active agenda, rather than sitting on defense.
For this reason, we need you to urge Senate Republicans to offer pro-active, pro-gun amendments to the latest COVID-19 package IF Speaker Pelosi attempts to do the same type of thing in the House of Representatives.
Just as you cant win a gunfight with a rock, you cant beat a politically charged agenda with a politically dead one.
And pro-gun Senators need to be reminded: nothing moves voters in November more effectively than the Second Amendment.
I almost fell out of my chair when I read what Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY) said on Tuesday's broadcast of the Rachel Maddow Show on MSNBC. Schumer stated that President Trump won't make the situation in the United States better by criticizing the World Health Organization and all the president's energy seems to be focused on attacking other people. Schumer said, "He goes after the W.H.O. What good is it? How is it going to make the country better by going after the W.H.O. one day or the press one day or the governors one day or Pelosi one day or me one day? That's all he seems to-that's seems to [be] where his energy is. At the same time, we don't have a regime of testing." The height of hypocrisy.
Schumer, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and the news media have been attacking the President relentlessly without offering a single bit of advice on how to resolve this COVID-19 issue. Where are the questions from the news media, even the so-called conservative news media, to the Democratic leadership about what they would do to improve the situation? None. Crickets. The focus of the President's opposition MUST be that he did not act soon enough to stop the spread of COVID-19 because they have no other reason to blame him. They MUST make that stick in the minds and hearts of all Americans, otherwise they have no grounds to criticize. Angry that the President showed a video chronologically documenting his actions and his oppositions criticisms, they continue to attack the President and offer no solutions.
All criticism and conspiracy theories aside, this President and his administration have been more transparent than any modern administration about what is being done to fight the COVID-19 virus. They have held news conferences every day for weeks-news conferences that the news media does not want to attend and cover because America can see the raw, real-time answers to their increasingly ignorant questions. Why is the news media not asking the Democratic Leadership what they would do differently? Why is the news media not asking the Democratic Leadership why they choose to not work with the President to solve the challenge instead of wasting their time criticizing him while people die?
We are finding out more facts about the spread of this plague. The World Health Organization actually helped the spread of the disease by not wanting to close the borders. The Democratic leadership in America also helped spread the disease by politically opposing the closing of America's borders. If the President would have acted sooner, the disease would not have spread so much, but what was he doing at the time? He was fighting to stay in office because the Democrats were trying to remove him based on trumped up charges. This blame game is ridiculous. The focus should be on getting people healthy and back to work. Job's discourse on the wicked ended in Job 21:24 with the question, "How then can you comfort me with vain words, since falsehood remains in your answers?" If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem.
Pelosi and Schumer are scheming to hijack COVID-19 funding with anti-gun agenda

Playing defense only loses every time
If the Democrats intend to inject their election-year agenda into the coronavirus debate, Republicans are fools if they dont do the same.If forced to vote on the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act and the Veterans 2nd Amendment Protection Act, anti-gun Democrats would lose their majority in the House and probably lose seats in the Senate.
