Why is the president of Brazil traveling to China to pursue what he calls a "beautiful relationship"? Why is Israel suddenly facing attacks from its enemies in all directions? What happened to Turkey? Why is it threatening fellow NATO member Greece? Is it still a NATO ally, a mere neutral, or a de facto enemy? Why are there suddenly nonstop Chinese threats toward Taiwan? Why did Saudi Arabia conclude a new pact with Iran, its former archenemy? Why was Egypt secretly planning to send rockets to Russia to be used in Ukraine, according to leaked Pentagon papers? Since when did the Russians talk nonstop about the potential use of a tactical nuclear weapon? Why is Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador bragging that millions of Mexicans have entered the United States, most of them illegally? And why is he interfering inU.S. elections by urging his expatriates to vote for Democrats? Why and how, in just two years, have confused and often incoherent President Joe Biden and his team created such global chaos? Let us answer by listing 10 ways by which America lost all deterrence: 1) Biden abruptly pulled all U.S. troops from Afghanistan. Heleft behind to the Taliban hundreds of Americans and thousands of pro-American Afghans. Biden abandoned billions of dollars in U.S. equipment, the largest air base in central Asia--recently retrofitted at a cost of $300 million--and a $1 billion embassy. Ourgovernment called such a debacle a success. The world disagreed and saw only humiliation. 2) The Biden administration allowed a Chinese high-altitude spyballoon to traverse the continental United States, spying on key American military installations. The Chinese were defiant when caught and offered no apologies. In response, the Pentagon and the administration simply lied about the extent that China had surveilledtop-secret sites. 3) In March 2021, at an Anchorage, Alaska, mini summit, Chinesediplomats unleashed a relentless barrage at their stunned and mostly silent American counterparts. They lectured the timid Biden administration diplomats about American toxicity and hypocrisy. And they have defiantly refused to explain why and how their virologylab birthed the COVID-19 virus that has killed tens of millions worldwide. 4) In June 2021, in response to Russian cyberattacks against theUnited States, Biden meekly asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to at least make off-limits certain critical American infrastructure. 5) When asked what he would do if Russia invaded Ukraine, Bidenreplied that the reaction would depend on whether the Russians conducted a "minor incursion." 6) Between 2021 and 2022, Biden serially insulted and braggedthat he would not meet Mohammed bin Salman, the de facto ruler of Saudi Arabia, and one of our oldest and most valuable allies in the Middle East. 7) For much of 2021, the Biden administration made it known thatit was eager and ready to offer concessions to reenter the dangerous Iran nuclear deal--at a time when Iran has joined China and Russia in a new geostrategic partnership. 8) Almost immediately upon inauguration, the administration moved the United States away from Israel, restored financial aid to radical Palestinians, and both publicly andprivately alienated the current Benjamin Netanyahu government. 9) In serial fashion, Biden stopped all construction on the borderwall and opened the border. During the 2019 Democratic presidential primary, Biden made it known that illegal aliens were welcome to enter the United States--some 6-7 million did. He reinstated "catch and release." And he did nothing about the Mexican cartelimportation of fentanyl that has recently killed over 100,000 Americans per year. 10) In the last two years, the Pentagon has embarked on a wokeagenda. The Army is short by 15,000 in its annual recruitment quota. The defense budget has not kept up with inflation. One of the greatest intelligence leaks in U.S. history just occurred from the Pentagon. The Pentagon refused to admit culpability and misled the country about Afghanistan and the Chinese spy balloon flight. The current chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff calledhis Chinese communist counterpart and head of the People's Liberation Army to advise him that the U.S. military would warn the Chinese if it determined an order from its commander in chief, former President Donald Trump, was inappropriate. This list of these self-inflicted disasters could be easily expanded. But the examples explain well enough why our emboldened enemies do not fear us, our triangulating allies judge us unreliable, and calculating neutrals assume America is indescent and too dangerous to join. Government restrictions on daily life during the COVID-19 pandemic remain fresh in the minds of many Americans. Just two weeks ago, President Joe Biden signed a bipartisancongressional resolution to bring the national emergency to a close after three years. National emergency status had given sweeping powers to the government. Biden opposed ending the emergency but also said he would not veto the legislation. During a recent radio broadcast of "Understanding the Times," Michele Bachmann � who served Minnesota's sixth district from 2007-20015 and was a GOP candidate for presidentin 2012 � informed the audience the Biden administration is now seeking to give broad authority to the World Health Organization (WHO) that would allow it to make binding health care decisions for the United States. Bachmann warned that the move would change the WHO, a sub-group of the United Nations, from merely an advisory board to one empowered to declare emergency status for 194 nationson Earth. "We're just coming out of three years of being under emergency power. We know what that's like, where we lose some of the most basic civil rights that we've ever had. That'swhat's at stake here," Bachmann told host Jan Markell, founder of Olive Tree Ministries. "We saw how difficult life was under the pronouncements of President Biden, Dr. Fauci and the Centers for Disease Control, but that's only because they were already followingwhatever the World Health Organization. "So, we've had a pretty good taste of what life could be like under a one-world international dictator. That is what this would be. That's not an exaggeration." The amendments are to be considered at the meeting of the World Health Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland in late May. Liking it on the Left Little has been written or said of these proposed changes, and opposition is not likely to come from Democrats, according to Bachmann. "Because they see the agenda that theylike could be implemented. There's more control, and they're the ones who call the shots," she said. But she argues the Left may not be fully contemplating the ramifications of this change. "For instance, if you're pro-abortion or you want to control people on how they can move or travel, then you're all in favor of something like this. But you may not fullyunderstand what this level of control could really mean for you or for your family: You have to be a favored person with the dictatorship in order to be able to travel or move or live your life in the way you've been used to," Bachmann explained. There are two possible tracks for change, the former GOP lawmaker said. One is through what would be called a "global pandemic treaty," the other through redefining the scopeof the WHO by changing amendments at the World Health Assembly. Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Arizona) and Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wisconsin) have worked to highlight the issue but with little traction. Johnson proposed that any global pandemic treatythat included the U.S. would have to pass through the Senate for resolution, but his amendment was voted down by Democrats in the Senate. It's also been on the radar for Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-North Dakota). "The Democrats who control the U.S. Senate defeated Ron Johnson's amendment, so we now know where the Senate is at. They're all for empowering the World Health Organizationand giving them this platform for global governance," Bachmann observed. House member Biggs has proposed House Resolution 79 which would require the president to immediately withdraw from the WHO and would prohibit use of any federal funds forU.S. participation in the WHO. The resolution would also repeal the 1948 act authorizing the U.S. to join the WHO. Why are we not hearing about this? In spite of the senators and HR 79, there doesn't appear to be much discussion about U.S. involvement in the WHO � and that concerns Bachmann. "Most members of Congress have never even heard of this issue because our media is a completely monolithic homogenized voice. We don't hear any alternative voices to the mainstreammedia. Most people don't get to hear what the truth is," she said. The other reason for silence, she continued, is that most in Congress fight to keep from drowning in the daily grind and aren't giving much thought to something that seemstoo hard to believe. "I served in the United States Congress for eight years. I know what it's like, and I used to jokingly say Congress is always the last to know � and it's true because membersof Congress lead a very different life," Bachmann said. "Most of their life is spent raising money, meeting with constituents, meeting with various lobbyists, doing all of the 90% of the things they have to do which are nonsense.When they're actually focusing on the issues in front of them, which may consume 10% of their time, they just don't have time to know everything that's going on � and this [issue] sounds so far out." But the threat is real, Bachmann states � and argues that a grassroots campaign of phone calls to the Capitol switchboard and a social media takeover will be necessary tobring the issue to light. In summary � Next month in Geneva, Switzerland, the Biden administration will seek to change the rules that would effectively grant full sovereignty over health care to the World HealthOrganization. Bachmann explains that not only would that create, for the first time in history, a legal platform for one-world government; it would also give one person, the director general, power to declare a health care emergency. "He could restrict our right to travel, mandate vaccines or treatments or lockdowns, and we would have no right of appeal," she summarizes. "And it's our government, the Bidengovernment, that is leading this aggressive effort to give up power to the UN. "Once you give up American power to the UN, it's very difficult to get it back � and that's slated to happen the last week of May in Geneva." Under the cover of the Trump trial antics, legal gamesmanship and politicaltheatre, there will be many leftist agenda items advanced that you many or may not hear about. Many of them will involve restricting your rights through healthcare, climate control, gun control, administrative agencies like the IRS, FBI and so on. John 3:19-21 says, �And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. Instead of being anAmbassador for American sports, he attacks them. Biden told the Irish Parliament on April 13, �I�d rather have my children playing rugby now, for health reasons, than I would have them playing football�Fewer people get hurt playing rugby. And you have no equipment.You have 280-pound guys like we do, and you just don�t hit each other in the head very often.� First, and foremost, once again Joe is misinformed, but he is feeding a narrative that is shared by his mentor Barack Obama and others in the Democratic Party seekingto ban the sport. A fact check by PolitiFact points out that there are a lot of various studies with conflicting conclusions. But overall, PolitiFact says: �Perhaps the leading meta-analysis,published in the journal Sports Medicine in 2021, looked at 83 studies. It found that rugby had the highest concussion rate of any sport, or about three times higher than the second-place sport, American football. The third- and fourth-place finishers wereice hockey and wrestling. Rugby was the only one of the sports studied that the authors labeled �high risk� based on these numbers.� PolitiFact�s conclusion: Significant academic research suggests that rugby results in higher rates of overall injuries andconcussions than American football does � often two to three times higher.� Biden�s statement is, therefore, false. But it is indicative of a larger, more sinister agenda. In the lead up to the Super Bowl in 2014, Obama said, �I�m a big football fan, but I have to tell you, if I had a son, I�d have to think long and hard before I let him playfootball.� A lot of other Democrats have taken up that same mantra. California, Illinois, New York, Massachusetts, Maryland and New Jersey all have various bills to ban youth football introduced by, guess who? Democrats. They all cite various safety reasonsand studies, but they don�t cite who pays for these studies and how independent they are of large special interest groups that would benefit from such a ban. One study touted by a New York Democrat as the main reason to ban football has a disclaimer that itssample size was too small to draw a definitive conclusion. But these crusaders, like Biden, won�t let the facts get in the way of their agenda targeting America�s youth. Overwhelming evidence indicates that kids who play football have higher graduation rates, perform better academically, and are more likely to stay out of trouble than thosewho don�t. Youth and high school football also add intrinsic value to society by inspiring character, leadership, tenacity, resilience, teamwork, and other transferrable skills needed to achieve a successful life. Isaiah 22:18 says of the judgment of the evilservant Shebna, �He [The Lord] will surely violently turn and toss thee like a ball into a large country.� Commentaries agree that Shebna was in the hands of the Lord like a ball in the hands of a strong man, and would be thrown at a great distance by a strongarm. Historians point to the origin of football as far back as 28 BC. It was a way to train up young men in the way they should go.
