WORLD AT WAR: 11.25.23 - PT .1 - The Middle East Is Going To Get Much More Violent

The Iranians Seem To Believe That The War In The Middle East Is Going To Get Much More Violent- by Michael Snyder - http://endoftheamericandream.com/the-iranians-seem-to-believe-that-the-war-in-the-middle-east-is-going-to-get-much-more-violent/ Rumors that the war in the Middle East is about to go to the next level are flying all over social media right now. The Iranians and the terror organizations that they supportabsolutely hate what is going on in Gaza, and they have been preparing to take action. So will we see a major move soon? That is hard to say, because there is so much that goes into such a decision. But the former commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards ispublicly telling us that “in the coming days” we will see “additional fronts join the conflict in Gaza”… Amid threats from Iran-backed Yemeni Houthi rebels to block Israeli ships in the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait, former commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, Mohsen Rezaee, cautionedthat “In the coming days, we’ll see additional fronts join the conflict in Gaza.” Rezaee told Lebanese news outlet Al-Mayadeen, affiliated with Hezbollah, that “if the pressure on Gaza’s residents continues, the war will receive greater support. Hamas isnot alone; it has the support of resistance forces in Lebanon, Iraq and Yemen.” So precisely what does he mean by “additional fronts”? I wish that I could ask him that question. Iran’s foreign minister also seems to have confirmed that this war is about to heat up. He recently stated that “the first stage of the war’s escalation has begun”… Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian echoed his statements, saying that “the first stage of the war’s escalation has begun via resistance factions making theirown decisions. If all attempts to stop these crimes fail, all options are on the table, and the regional situation could shift.” By using the term “the first stage”, he is seemingly implying that more stages are coming. Without a doubt, I think that the mainstream media will be using the word “escalation” quite a bit during the dark days that are ahead. In fact, when the Houthis decided to hijack a cargo ship in the Red Sea, that was definitely an “escalation”… A cargo ship has been hijacked in the Red Sea by Iranian-backed Houthi rebels from Yemen, with up to 22 crew members believed to have been taken hostage. The Bahaman-flagged ‘Galaxy Leader’ is reported to have been boarded by armed men as it travelled south past the Arabian peninsula on its way to India this weekend. The vehicle carrier is registered under a British company which is partially owned by an Israeli tycoon, and is currently leased out to a Japanese company, according to reports. The Houthis are so proud of what they have done. In fact, they even released a video on social media that documented the hijacking… The Iranian-backed Houthi rebels on Monday released a video showing Sunday’s helicopter-borne raid on the Galaxy Leader, a Bahamian-flagged vehicle carrier transiting theRed Sea. The Houthis still hold the ship and its 25 crew members. A U.S. military official told The War Zone it is believed to be the first Houthi helicopter attack on a ship. The video opens with a view of a Houthi Mi-171Sh variant transport helicopter with what appear to be UB-32 rocket pods and a PKM light machine gun at the door flying towardthe vessel. The helicopter – bearing the black, red, white and green Palestinian flag and the red, white and black Houthi flag – flies low over the ship stern to bow and then lands just long enough for at least seven armed Houthi fighters to jump out and boardthe Galaxy Leader before the helicopter flies off. The Houthis are a bunch of crazed Shiite lunatics, but they are only going to be minor players in this conflict. The real concern is what Hezbollah in Lebanon will choose to do next, and on Monday they reportedly caused “extensive damage” at a military base in northern Israel… A rocket attack from Lebanon has hit the IDF’s Biranit base in northern Israel, the IDF confirmed on Monday. Footage posted to social media shows extensive damage and fire caused by the devastating shelling. The IDF confirmed that rockets were fired at the base. Times of Israel correspondent Emmanuel Fabian reported on social media that Hezbollah is responsible. As long as Hezbollah limits their attacks to military targets, things won’t escalate too much. But once Hezbollah starts launching missiles at Israeli cities, we will definitely enter very dangerous territory. Once thousands of Hezbollah missiles start raining down on Israeli cities, the U.S. military will get involved, and the IDF will start hitting Beirut and other cities in Lebanon. On the southern front, the Israelis have been talking about expanding their operations into southern Gaza, and for now the Biden administration is publicly supporting sucha move… A high-ranking White House official reacted on Sunday, telling CBS News’s “Face the Nation” that Israel has the “right” to expand its operations; however, he said the Bidenadministration still hopes such a plan is delayed while additional safeguards are put in place to avoid harming more civilians. US Deputy National Security Adviser Jon Finer said, “In the event that we believe that Israel is likely to embark on combat operations, including in the south, we believeboth that they have the right to do that, but that there is a real concern, because hundreds of thousands of residents of Gaza have fled now from the north to the south at Israel’s request.” The further that the IDF goes into Gaza, the more enraged the Iranians and the terror organizations that they support are going to become. It appears to be just a matter of time before this war spirals completely out of control. What we have witnessed so far is just the beginning. In my new book entitled “Chaos”, I have an entire chapter entitled “The 3 Wars Of The Apocalypse”. We really have reacheda point of no return, and all of humanity will be absolutely shocked by the incredible death and destruction that we will soon see. Deep hatred has been percolating in the Middle East for decades, and now it has reached a boiling point. If the Iranians were smart, they would stop now while they still can. But they aren’t going to do that, and as a result a nightmare scenario is about to unfold in the Middle East right in front of our eyes. -------------------------------- A time of reckoning ahead? - Bill Wilson www.dailyjot.com In his book Eye to Eye: Facing the Consequences of Dividing Israel, author and friend Bill Koenig draws the correlation that when the United States takes action to pressureIsrael to divide her land major natural, economic or political disaster follows within 24-48 hours. He documents this phenomena over the last 30 years. It is irrefutable. When you consider what has happened in Israel in the Hamas attack and all the subsequentviolence here in the US driven by hate for Jews and Israel, the actions of Joe Biden in trying to once again divide the land of Israel by restoring control of Gaza to the terrorist-backed Palestinian Authority may result in disastrous consequences. In an Op-Ed for the Washington Post, Biden renewed the call for a two-state solution as the only answer to resolve the issue between Israel and Palestinians. He wrote: As we strive for peace, Gaza and the West Bank should be reunited under a single governance structure, ultimately under a revitalized Palestinian Authority, as we all work toward a two-state solution. Then Biden turned the table, pointing out that the USwill not stand for violence against Palestinians in the West Bank (Judea and Samaria) by Israeli settlers. He said, I have been emphatic with Israels leaders that extremist violence against Palestinians in the West Bank must stop and that those committingthe violence must be held accountable, adding the US will take its own steps against such extremists attacking civilians in the West Bank. The statement did not remotely mention that Israeli settlers have the right to defend themselves against the attacks of Palestinians. Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahuresponded, vowing, In Gaza, after the destruction of Hamas, and for a long time thereafter, there will not be a regime that encourages terror, that teaches terror, that funds terror that also indoctrinates about the destruction of Israel and the murderof Jews this will not be. The Palestinian Authority (PA) ran Gaza before Hamas took over. During that time (1994-2007), the PA oversaw ongoing missile attacks and instituted a pay for slay incentivizing terrorism against Israelis by providing pensionsto terrorists killed in the act of killing Jews. This practice continues today as well as schools that educate children that Jews are pigs and encouraging hate. God tells Abram in Genesis 12:2-3, And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing: And I will bless themthat bless you, and curse him that curses you: and in you shall families of the earth be blessed. And so throughout history those who blessed Israel were blessed and those who cursed Israel were cursed. This promise is one that can be traced throughout notonly the texts of the Bible, but also through the texts of historical accounts written by many across the ages. From the empire of Babylon to the Roman Empire to Nazi Germany, those who blessed Israel and its people were blessed and those who cursed them werecursed. There may be tough times ahead as Biden pursues his relentless policies supporting terrorists while giving lip service to supporting Israel. ------------------------------ Israeli FM Warns UN: Failure To Adopt Resolution Calling For Hezbollah Disarmament Could Led To Expanded Regional War By HD Staff - https://harbingersdaily.com/israeli-fm-warns-un-failure-to-adopt-resolution-calling-for-hezbollah-disarmament-could-led-to-expanded-regional-war/ Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen is warning the United Nations Security Council that failure to adopt the 1701 resolution calling for the disarmament of Hezbollah couldlead to an expanded regional war. For the good of regional stability and to avoid further escalation, the next session of the UN Security Council must adopt a totally different approach in order to end thedangerous violations by Hezbollah and other terrorist groups on the border, Cohen wrote. According to the Times of Israel, UN Security Council resolution 1701 brought to an end the Second Lebanon War in 2006, and called for the disarmament of all non-state armedforces in Lebanon, as well as for the region between the Israel-Lebanon border and the Litani River to be freed of all armed forces other than the Lebanese army and the UNs peacekeeping mission UNIFIL. These clauses of the resolution were never implemented, and Hezbollah has become a heavily armed terror militia, the Israeli news organization explained. The Foreign Ministers comments come after Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on Sunday informed reporters that Hezbollah has fired over 1,000 munitions at Israel since the October7th Hamas attack. Iran is the root of hostility and aggression against the State of Israel. The war is multifront, even though its intensity is focused on Gaza, Gallant stressed. Since thebeginning of the war, Hezbollah has fired more than 1,000 munitions at Israeli targets but suffers far more significant harm. Were thwarting [missile and rocket] squads and hitting military assets and targets, Hezbollah pays a heavy price every day. Erick Stakelbeck, host of The Watchman newscast, recently noted that Hezbollahs firepower and fighting force pose a considerable threat if they decide to enter the war fully. Hezbollah has a much more powerful, advanced, and well-trained fighting force than Hamas, he described. Do the math. One hundred fifty thousand rockets and missiles pointedat every inch of the worlds one and only Jewish State, and at least 40-50,000 well-trained battle-hardened foot soldiers. Hezbollah is a different beast, and I do mean beast, than Hamas. Hezbollah is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Iranian regime, Stakelbeck highlighted, adding that, while Hassan Nasrallah hasnt yet declared war, they may be pushed byIran to jump in for the purpose of preventing Hamas destruction. Do Hezbollah and the Iranian regime step back and watch as their brother in arms, their terror ally, Hamas, is wiped off the face of the Earth by the IDF? he asked. Hamashas been a very valuable asset to Iran, to Hezbollah, and to the jihadist cause. Pray for the IDF that God would give them wisdom, protection, and discernment, he urged. These are demonic Nazis and barbariansI do not say that lightly. ---------------------------- 7 Reasons Why the Hostage Deal is a Mistake - by Daniel Greenfield- https://www.frontpagemag.com/7-reasons-why-the-hostage-deal-is-a-mistake/ Israel had a clear moral case for taking out Hamas. Why would Israel agree to a hostage deal with Hamas? Israel agreed to a much worse deal to free another hostage some years back. That deal and the ones before it were wrong. And yet with a large number of hostages held in enemy hands, and with hundreds of family members rallying for their release, Im not surprised that it was agreed to. Qatar, a state sponsor of Hamas, came to Biden with this. And Biden wants a political win. After over a month of fighting, a lot of political interests want something besidesdead terrorists. Even though dead terrorists is what a win looks like. It may be stating the obvious, but heres why the hostage deal is a terrible idea. 1. After Oct 7, the new rule was that Hamas would no longer betreated like a normal entity, but like an abominable evil that had to be destroyed. The negotiations kill that. Once you negotiate with evil, it stops being unacceptable. Thats why we had rules against negotiating with terrorists. When the taboo is broken, its a lot harder to put back into place. Oct 7 should have restored an absolute taboo. No more. 2. Hamas has been losing. Its defense strategy has failed. Itsbest hope for staying in power is to boost morale and make its forces and Arab Muslims in Gaza think that this was all for something. In todays article, I delved into why the poll numbers for Hamas and the war were worse in Gaza than in the West Bank. Now Hamas will claim to have delivered a win. 3. The deal endangers other hostages. Hamas wants time to relocateits forces and the hostages. This deal gives it that. Beyond the temporary cessation of attacks, Israel will blind itself to its movements. This not only sets back the war effort, but it allows Hamas to make off with and then kill more hostages. 4. The deal means that Israel is falling back into the same badhabits of believing in negotiated deterrence that led to the Oct 7 attack. Delusions of diplomacy are a bad idea. Especially when it comes to terrorists. Hamas cant be negotiated with or deterred. No Islamic terrorist group can. The moment anyone thinks thatway, theyve lost. 5. Negotiating for hostages leads to the taking of hostages. Period. 6. Israel had a clear moral case for taking out Hamas. Negotiatingwith it muddies it and undermines Israels supporters. 7. After Oct 7, there was a conflict within the Biden administrationover diplomacy vs. force. The diplomacy crowd will now claim to have won and be in the drivers seat for setting policy. That means people who are basically agents of Qatar and Iran are back in charge of foreign policy. This will have terrible implicationsfor American support for Israels war effort. ------------------------------- Palestinians: 'Extreme' Support for Terrorist Group Hamas, Israel's Destruction- by Bassam Tawil - https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/20155/palestinians-support-hamas One of the reasons why Palestinian leaders refuse to condemn Hamas's October 7 massacre of Israelis is because they know that many Palestinians support the atrocities committedby the Iran-backed Palestinian terrorist group. Unlike the Biden administration and many Europeans, these leaders, including Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, are fully aware of the widespread support amongtheir people for any group whose goal is to murder Israelis and destroy Israel. The Palestinian leaders, in addition, are also aware that a majority of the Palestinians are opposed to the deluded Western fantasy of a "two-state solution." In a region as volatile as the Middle East, if, say, Islamic State, Al Qaeda or the Islamic Republic of Iran -- on the cusp of having nuclear bombs to threaten the region,Europe and the United States -- were to take over a Palestinian State, the way Hamas took over the Gaza Strip by force from the Palestinian Authority in 2007 -- those terrorist machines, not Finland or Denmark, would be Israel's immediate neighbors. Whateveryour country is, it would not permit that, either nor should it. A public opinion poll published on November 14 showed that 75% of Palestinians support Hamas's murder spree, including rape and beheadings, as opposed to only 13% who disapprove. The poll, conducted by the Arab World for Research and Development (AWRAD), covered 668 respondents across the West Bank and Gaza Strip. According to the results, 59.3% of the Palestinians expressed "extreme support" for the actions of Hamas on October 7, while 15.7% said they "somewhat" favored the massacre.Fewer than 13% of the Palestinians opposed the massacre. Surprisingly, the poll found that support for Hamas and its "military operation" is even higher in the West Bank, where Abbas's Palestinian Authority is based, than in theGaza Strip. In the past two years, the West Bank, controlled by Abbas's security forces, have seen the emergence of several terrorist groups affiliated with Hamas, as well as another Iranian proxy, Palestinian Islamic Jihad. Abbas has done nothing, ever, to rein in the terrorists, who are responsible for countless attacks on Israelis. Unfortunately, this is the same West Bank where the Biden administrationand the European Union want to establish a Palestinian state. If such a large number of Palestinians in the West Bank support the murder of Israelis and Hamas, it is safe to assume that a new "Palestinian state" would be controlled by Hamas or another genocidal, antisemitic terror group. The poll also showed that 68% of the Palestinians in the West Bank said they "extremely support" the butchering of Israelis, while another 14.8% said they "somewhat" supportit. In total, 87.7% of the Palestinians in the West Bank have a positive sentiment toward Hamas. Only 10.2% of the Palestinians living in the West Bank have a negative sentiment toward Hamas. Another, but less-surprising, result of the poll is that 80% of the Palestinians reject both the "one-state" and "two-state" solutions, and instead demand all the territory, between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea in short, the entire State of Israel within any borders. The findings of the poll shatter the claim made by US President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken that Hamas is not representative of most Palestinians. Sadly, the results of the poll show, without doubt, that the Biden administration is completely clueless about the anti-Israel sentiment among a large majority of the Palestinians. That a majority of Palestinians want to replace Israel with an Iran-backed terror state also shows that the Biden administration and most European governments are engagingin extreme self-deception when they talk about the need to promote the concept of a "two-state solution." This is not the first survey to show that a majority of Palestinians are vehemently opposed to a "two-state solution" and support an armed struggle against Israel. It is alsonot the first poll to show that most Palestinians prefer Hamas and other terrorist groups to the Palestinian Authority. One month before the Hamas massacre, the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research published a poll that showed that 67% of the Palestinian public opposes the ideaof a "two-state solution" as opposed to 32% who support it. The poll showed that a majority of 53% of the Palestinians support armed struggle against Israel. Twenty percent said they support negotiations with Israel, while another 24% expressed support fora "popular non-violent resistance." The poll, in addition, showed that if new presidential elections were held at the time, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh would receive 58% of the votes as opposed to 37% for Abbas. The findings of the polls do not really come as a surprise to those who have been closely monitoring Palestinian affairs over the past few decades. Support for Hamas and terrorismagainst Israel is the direct result of a decades-long campaign of incitement against Israel by Palestinian leaders and factions, including those from both the Palestinian Authority and Hamas. When Abbas tells his people that Jews are "defiling with their filthy feet" the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, he is not only lying, but inciting the murder of Jew. Abbas, infact, pays the murderers of Jews or their families a monthly stipend as part of his "Pay-for-Slay" policy, a jobs program like Murder, Inc. A 2017 analysis by The Washington Post revealed that $160 million was paid to 13,000 beneficiaries of "prisoner payments" ($12,307 per person) and $183 million was paid to33,700 families in "martyr payments" ($5,430 per family) annually. Of the total amount, the newspaper estimated that $36 million was paid to prisoners serving sentences of 20 years in Israeli prison. Another $10 million was paid to the families of 200 suicidebombers. It is worth noting that Hamas named its massacre "Operation Al-Aqsa Flood," presumably in response to peaceful and routine visits by Jews to Jerusalem's Temple Mount, whichare permitted, by mutual agreement, to open-air areas that are outside of the mosque. Hamas claimed that the name of the massacre came in response to supposed "Israeli violations in the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque." There were, of course, no "violations"by Jews. Their only "crime" was that they visited the Temple Mount in accordance with all agreements. "The [Israeli] enemy desecrated the Al-Aqsa Mosque and dared to visit prophet Mohammed's place of worship," said Hamas arch-terrorist Mohammed Deif, one of the mastermindsof the October 7 massacre. Addressing Palestinians, he added: "Start marching now toward Palestine, and do not let borders or restrictions deprive you of the honor of Jihad (holy war) and participating in the liberation of the Al-AqsaMosque." The rhetoric and actions of the Palestinian Authority show that it shares responsibility with Hamas for the October 7 massacre. The Palestinian Authority and Hamas have raisedan entire generation of Palestinians on the glorification of terrorism and the imperative of murdering Jews and eliminating Israel. How can any rational person talk about a "two-state solution" when a majority of Palestinians believe there is nothing wrongwith burning, beheading and raping Jews, or baking a Jewish baby to death in an oven? The results of the poll confirm what most Arabs and Muslims already know: that the only solution most Palestinians are willing to accept is one that leads to the murder ofall Jews and the destruction of Israel. It remains to be seen whether the latest Palestinian slaughter of Jews serves to awaken the Biden administration and the Europeans to this inconvenient, uncomfortable fact. ----------------------------------- Israel-Hamas Truce: The Long Line Of Treaties Paving The Way For A False Savior Of Peace By Mark Hitchcock - https://harbingersdaily.com/israel-hamas-truce-the-long-line-of-treaties-paving-the-way-for-a-false-savior-of-peace/ This week, Israels cabinet approved a peace deal brokered by Qatar, Egypt, and the United States. The agreement is for the release of hostages that were seized by Hamas onOctober 7 in exchange for a pause in the fighting in Gaza. What does this truce between Israel and Hamas mean for the current war in Israel and for the future? The agreement will result in the release of about 50 Israeli hostages, consisting of women and children, in exchange for a four-day truce in Israels air and ground campaign.Theres a potential for an extension, with ten hostages released each extra day. Now, think about that for a moment. Thats going to put Israels leaders to the test. After four days for 50 hostages, they are then going to have to decide whether they wantto give another day. Each day that goes by is going to allow Hamas time to reform, regroup, and resupply. Youre going to have an outcry in Israel. As you can imagine, if that was one of your family members held captive, youre going to be saying, Well, its just one more day, and ten more of these hostages can be released. This will prolong the conflict, no doubt. However long this truce ends up lasting, its going to allow Hamas a lot of time to make further preparations. We need to be praying for Israels leaders during this time. Its going to take the wisdom of Solomon for them to make decisions about how long to extend the truce to getmore of these hostages back. Although not a part of the official agreement, its understood that about 150 Palestinians will be released as part of the deal. Supposedly, none of those released will beterrorists. What we see here is another in a seemingly endless line of truces, treaties, and ceasefires that Israel has entered into since 1948. Israels Past Wars And Peace Agreements It may be better understood by looking at Israels past wars and peace agreements. Israels first modern war was in 1948 when the modern state of Israel was founded. They were attacked by five nations simultaneously. At the end of this war in 1949, armisticeagreements were entered into with Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, and Jordan. But really, there was no end to Israels war with these nations. The Suez War in 1956 ended under pressure from the United States and the Soviet Union. While there was no peace treaty, the United Nations created a kind of buffer zone andplaced its forces in the area. The Six-Day War in 1967 ended with a ceasefire agreement and UN resolution 242, which the parties agreed to. Fifty years and a day before the recent October 7th Hamas invasion, you had the Yom Kippur War in October 1973. A series of ceasefires and peace negotiations, including theCamp David Accords, ultimately led to the end in 1979 of what had been a 30-year conflict between Egypt and Israel. The first Lebanon War in 1982 dragged on for almost two decades. The First Intifada, an Arabic word that means uprising, went from 1987 to 1993 and ended with the Oslo Accords. Yasser Arafat and Yitzhak Rabin shook hands at the WhiteHouse, with President Clinton in the background, and set up a framework for the governance of the West Bank and Gaza. In 1995, they entered into the Oslo Two Accords. In 2000, we saw the Second Intifada, the second uprising, with a ceasefire reached in 2003. The Second Lebanon War in 2006 also ended with a ceasefire resolution. There was a series of whats called the Gaza wars. Israel has been involved in several conflicts with Hamas, the terrorist group that governs the Gaza Strip. There was OperationCast Lead (2008-2009), Operation Pillar of Defense (2012), and Operation Protective Edge (2014). There was also an 11-day conflict with Hamas in 2011, which ended when Egypt negotiated a ceasefire, along with the US and Qatar, just like what has happened recently. On October 7th, when Hamas invaded the southern part of Israel, it began Israels Operation Swords of Iron, which is still ongoing today. A four-day temporary ceasefire hasnow been signed. Depending on how you divide up these different conflicts, Israel, in its 75-year modern history, has had 16 different wars or conflicts. Think about that. Thats about oneevery five years. Israels modern history is just one long series of conflicts followed by ceasefires, treaties, and truces, though they are often short-lived. The Elusive Phantom Of Peace In Israel There has never been such an outcry for peace in the Middle East as we see today. We now have 24/7 television coverage, social media, and global outcry. There are major protestsand demonstrations, with millions gathering in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the United States. We have global leaders all over the globe calling and pleading for a ceasefire. Today, unlike any time in history, the world is ripe for a comprehensive solutionto this Middle East peace crisis. As I went through these conflicts in Israel, I noticed that they are always mediated, negotiated, or brokered by outside forcesthis most recent ceasefire by the US, Qatar, and Egypt. That will also be the case in the end times when the Antichrist will rise from a revived Roman Empire. This temporary peace is just another peace agreement and a long line of truces and treaties paving the way for the peace that the Antichrist will bring when he comes ontothe world scene. After the Rapture, you can imagine the chaos. The act that will catapult the Antichrist onto the global scene is a peace agreement that he will broker with Israel. It willeven include the Temple Mount area. He is going to be hailed by the world. You can see today that anyone who could solve this mess in the Middle East would be hailed as a world savior. The world stage is setfor his arrival, especially with this condition in Israel and the global outrage weve seen. All that remains is for the Rapture to take place, and that can happen at any moment. We need to live in light of that day. -------------------------------- Netanyahu: The Return Of Hostages Is a Sacred Task; We Will Continue To Fight Until Absolute Victory By HD Staff - https://harbingersdaily.com/netanyahu-the-return-of-hostages-is-a-sacred-task-we-will-continue-to-fight-until-absolute-victory/ Below is the speech of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered at a press conference Wednesday Evening following announcements of a negotiateddeal for the release of Israeli hostages currently being held by Hamas terrorists: Citizens of Israel, at the start of my remarks, I would like to speak to the families of the hostages, our brothers and sisters. Last night, I convened the Government inorder to approve the first stage of the outline for returning the hostages. Since the start of the war, I have not stopped thinking about you, the families. I have met with you and have heard from you what you are enduring. I have heard from you about thecontinuing nightmare, the tribulations of uncertainty, the endless worrying. When I meet with you, you put the photos of your loved ones on your chests, on your hearts, and I and my colleagues see all the photos; they are a call to action. Since the outbreak of the war, we have indeed been working relentlessly to bring them all back home. And when I say all of them I mean all of them, including Oron, Hadar,Avra and Hisham. We have clearly defined the goals of the war: Eliminate Hamas, free our hostages and ensure that on the day after Hamas, Gaza will no longer constitute a threat to Israel. We said that we would act to create the conditions for returning the hostages and we created them. What paved the way to the current outline is the combination of two main efforts. The first effort, is the massive, relentless military pressure that we areusing against Hamas. I want to commend the IDF and the ISA for the immense work that they are doing to create this pressure. The second effort is the great diplomatic pressure that we are using for the release of our hostages. We conducted difficult negotiations;we fought to improve the outline. I have just spoken again with President Biden and thanked him for acting, as per my request, with the intermediaries to significantly improve the outline; such an improvement has been achieved. This combination of the military and diplomatic efforts created the conditions for returning our hostages. I believe that this combination will also facilitate the releaseof additional hostages in the next stages. The outline that has been achieved does not include the release of murderers. It does include visits by Red Cross representatives to the hostages and the delivery of medicines to them. I heard that there is someonedenying this. The Red Cross says that it has not heard; then here is the explicit clause: The Red Cross will be allowed to visit the remaining hostages and provide them with needed medicine. I expect the Red Cross to do its work. Citizens of Israel, as Prime Minister of Israel, I frequently face tough decisions, between a difficult choice and an even more difficult choice. It is especially so on theissue of the hostages. The effort to bring all of them home is ongoing and at this time we can achieve the release of infants and children, mothers and women, who have swords at their necks. This is the precept of redeeming captives which we have a moral obligationto carry out. In the history of the State of Israel, we have released hostages in highly feasible military operations. We have done this despite the heavy price that we have had to pay.It happened at the Savoy Hotel, at Entebbe, on a SABENA jet, and in other cases. It has also happened in this war; several weeks ago, we freed the soldier Ori Megidish in a daring military action. But military operations are not always possible. Therefore,we are not waiting. We are utilizing every sliver of opportunity to release our hostages because returning them is a sacred task. The IDF and all of the security services fully support the outline. They reiterated at yesterdays Government meeting that the security of our forces will be assured duringthe days of the pause and that the intelligence effort will be maintained during these days. And the IDF will, at this time, be preparing for the continuation of the war. This morning, the Government made a decision and I and my colleagues believe with all our hearts, that it was the correct decision. I thank my colleagues for the joint position Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, Minister Benny Gantz and the Government ministers, IDF Chief-of-Staff Lt.-Gen. Herzi Halevi, Mossad Director David Barnea, ISA Director Ronen Bar, Maj.-Gen. (Ret.) Nitzan Alon, Brig.-Gen. (Ret.) Gal Hirsh and all those whohave helped and who are working to achieve the release. Citizens of Israel, I want to be clear the war is continuing. The war is continuing. We will continue until we achieve all of our goals: Return all of the hostages, eliminateHamas and ensure that on the day after Hamas, no element that supports terrorism, educates its children for terrorism, and pays terrorists or their families, will control Gaza. Gaza will no longer constitute a threat to Israel. We will restore security inboth the south and the north. We are winning and will continue to fight until absolute victory. We are doing so thanks to the courage of our soldiers and thanks to the self-sacrifice of our sons and daughters, heroes of Israel. I always remember that thisvictory has a heavy price our soldiers who gave their lives for us all, our heroes that fell to defend our home. I spoke this evening with Avichai and Tali Barzani, whose son Dvir, a paratrooper, fell this week in the fighting in Gaza. Avichai is a veteran security man whom I have knownfor years. He told me that he wrote to his son Dvir: When you go to fight Hamas, remember that behind you are the 1,400 Israeli citizens who were brutally murdered by a terrible enemy. Avichai and Tali asked me, as have all of the bereaved parents with whomI have spoken, to continue to the end, to continue until the absolute victory. Citizens of Israel, I stand here this evening to tell you clearly: This is exactly what we will do. Together we will fight and with Gods help, together we will win. ----------------------------------
