The tyrannical disenfranchisement of your vote

The tyrannical disenfranchisement of your vote - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com To be perfectly clear: this Daily Jot is not meant to disrespect or demonize members of a political party. It is intended to expose what the leadership of that party historicallyhas done, and is doing. If you are a member of this party, or only vote for candidates of this party, you might want to consider the truth of the party leadership and the intent of their actions. The Democratic Party has, for the better part of its existence, disenfranchised and suppressed votes—while at the same time accused its opponents of the very same. You will hear a lot from Joe Biden and his party leadership about how their opponents are trying to destroy democracy by disenfranchising voters, but look attheir very public actions for the truth. Attorney General Merrick Garland recently pointed to the history of voter suppression after the Civil War, implying it was others, not the Democratic Party, who took violentaction against Black Americans to prevent them from voting. And yet today, he claims that ensuring that only eligible voters utilize mail-in votes, banning ballot-stuffing as in the use of drop boxes, and requiring voter identification to prove you are whoyou say you are, all are efforts to disenfranchise and suppress voting. Garland ignores that there are Constitutional requirements outlining eligibility of voters. By blocking all accountability on voting eligibility, the Democratic Party is disenfranchisingthe vote of qualified voters. Garland wants to recall the Civil War, but it was an organized political effort by the Democratic Party to disenfranchise Black Americans with Jim Crow laws after the CivilWar. For over 100 years from 1865 to the late 1960s, these laws oppressed black voting, mandated segregation of public schools, public places, public transportation, housing, restrooms, drinking fountains, and restaurants. Many residuals of these laws stillremain. Jim Crow Laws allowed arresting Blacks for the smallest of crimes to be incarcerated to hard labor and would never be allowed to vote, thus perpetuating a form of slavery. These laws began to be deconstructed with the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and theVoting Rights Act of 1965, although these reforms were opposed by Democrats at all levels of government well into the 1970s. Democratic Party leadership says that every vote should count and that their opponents are destroying democracy. Think about how the Democratic Party is working overtime toremove Donald Trump from the ballot. Democrat-controlled Kangaroo courts have fined him, prohibited his businesses, twisted laws to convict him. They even used their state officeholders to illegally remove him from the ballot—all in the name of protectingdemocracy. But really, they are saying “you will vote for the candidate we choose.” That is tyrannical disenfranchisement of the right to vote. Romans 2:1 says this is inexcusable, “for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judgepractice the same things.” And you know, it’s not just Trump that they are after. Anyone who doesn’t fall in line is the ultimate target.
