TERROR WATCH: 6.17.16 - Living with Islamic terror to the prophetic end

Soft Target - By Hal Lindsey - http://www.hallindsey.com/ww-6-16-2016/

Security analysts see all gatherings of people as potential terrorist targets.  Generally, they divide them into two categories - "hard targets" and "soft targets."  Hard targets are well guarded and soft targets have little or no defense.

In light of the Orlando terror attack, we might expect government officials to look for ways to turn more soft targets into hard ones.  But just the opposite is happening.  Almost immediately following the attack, the politics of gun control began to drive much of the discussion.  Gun control advocates want to diminish our ability to defend ourselves.  They want to turn us - along with our places of work, of worship, and our homes - into soft targets.

Under present law, a terrorist would be crazy to use guns in an assault on a conservative, evangelical church in Texas.  That's because a significant number of conservative evangelicals have chosen to take advantage of that state's right to carry laws.  Even in a small Texas church, there's a good chance someone will be packing heat.  It would be almost impossible for one terrorist to shoot over a hundred people, killing almost half - if some of those people were shooting back.

Someone might argue that Jesus was against violence, but a closer look at scripture tells a more nuanced story.  In Luke 9, Jesus sent some of His disciples on a short missionary journey.  He "sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God, and to perform healing.  And He said to them, 'Take nothing for your journey, neither a staff, nor a bag, nor bread, nor money; and do not even have two tunics apiece.'" (Luke 9:2-3 NASB)

He did this to show them, and all who would follow, that God is our Source - not money or reserves of food.  He provides for our needs.  The instructions Jesus gave illustrated that even when He would no longer be physically present, His followers would never be "on their own."  God always watches over us.

In Luke 22, not long before His crucifixion, Jesus reminded His disciples of that experience.  He wanted them to draw on that memory so that they would always see God as their Provider.  But as they were about to set out on missionary journeys that would transform the world, He told them to take some things with them, including money.  That fits with what they had seen Him do.  During the three years of Jesus' ministry, the group had a treasurer and a moneybag.  That would be the normal way of doing things.

"He said to them, 'When I sent you out without purse and bag and sandals, you did not lack anything, did you?'  And they said, 'No, nothing.'  And He said to them, 'But now, let him who has a purse take it along, likewise also a bag, and let him who has no sword sell his robe and buy one.'" (Luke 22:35-36 NASB)

Jesus did not advocate violence, but He told them to take a sword on their journeys.  He said if they didn't have a sword, they should sell something as essential as a robe in order to buy one.  Self-defense is implicit in this instruction.

There are no limits on God's ability.  He can just do things for us.  After Philip baptized the Ethiopian eunuch in Acts 8, it says, "the Spirit of the Lord snatched Philip away; and the eunuch saw him no more, but went on his way rejoicing.  But Philip found himself at Azotus." (Acts 8:39-40 NASB)

That was a transportation miracle.  But in every other case we know of, the disciples of Jesus went place to place in a very natural, human way.  They walked.  God has the ability to snatch us up and take us where He wants, but His usual method is to let us do the things we can.  God uses even our most basic abilities, like walking.  He wants us to participate where we can -including in our own protection.

A new editorial in Rolling Stone magazine argues that we should not be allowed that right.  On June 13th, they ran an editorial calling for the repeal of the Second Amendment.  Apparently the United Nations agrees.  U.N. human rights commissioner Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein asked, "How many more mass killings of school-children, of co-workers, of African-American churchgoers, how many more individual shootings of talented musicians like Christina Grimmie, or politicians like Gabrielle Giffords, will it take before the United States adopts robust gun regulation?"

But here's the problem.  If we must depend only on police and other government agencies to defend us, then almost everything and everyone will be a soft target.  NFL football games won't be, but your kid's soccer game will.  Hollywood studios will remain hard targets, but the local multiplex will be a soft target - as will your local grocery store, school, church, and park.  But if people who pass a certain level of screening and testing are allowed the means to defend themselves, they will also defend the people around them - hardening targets everywhere.

In all of this, we have to remember that God remains the ultimate defense.  We may water the garden, but only God can make vegetables grow.  It's the same with defense.  Psalms 33 says, "The king is not saved by a mighty army; A warrior is not delivered by great strength.  A horse is a false hope for victory; Nor does it deliver anyone by its great strength.  Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, On those who hope for His lovingkindness, To deliver their soul from death, And to keep them alive in famine.  Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield." (Psalms 33:16-20 NASB)

While those words give me comfort as an individual, they give me grave concern for my country.  The United States of America has the strongest, most powerful military in the history of the world by far.  But that alone is not enough.  If we as a nation do not turn to God for deliverance, the United States itself will soon become a "soft target."

No letup seen in ISIS terror for US, Western cities -  http://www.debka.com/article/25481/No-letup-seen-in-ISIS-terror-for-US-Western-cities

US President Barack Obama offers no clear strategy for destroying ISIS other than predicting a long, hard road for his too-little, too-late military interventions overseas. That was evident from his latest speech Tuesday, June 14. Realizing this, Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Bagdadi still does not feel threatened by military defeat, and whenever his forces are pushed back on one front, he promptly opens a new one.

And so, when earlier this year, US and Russian-backed local forces aided by air strikes began forcing ISIS out of territory it had occupied since 2014 in Syria and Iraq. ISIS shifted a large part of its forces to Libya and opened a third front there.

The 5,000 Islamist fighters were quietly moved from Iraq to southern Jordan, from there to the Sinai Peninsula and from Egypt to Libya. How come that neither the Americans nor anyone else in the West acted to thwart this large-scale military movement?

In Libya, the Islamists partly made up for the shortfall in revenue caused by the financial and military measures which President Obama described at length Tuesday when he outlined his war in ISIS. After the US bombed the Syrian oil wells and refineries captured by ISIS, Al-Baghdadi found new sources of income by seizing Libyan oil facilities, smuggling migrants out of Africa and flogging arms on Middle East black markets.

Only after ISIS had got itself well organized in Libya, some 200km from Europe, did the Americans and Europeans step in to launch a limited military strike.

ISIS also boosted another important front by launching and sponsoring terrorist assaults in American and European cities.

President Obama described the war on the terror organization from a one-sided perspective, as though only his side was making progress on the battlefield. However, debkafile military and counter terrorism sources say this account is skewed. Like any other tough war still in progress, both contestants have good days of achievements and bad days of failures.

The Orlando terror attack on June 12, when 49 Americans were murdered by a young Muslim man who swore allegiance to al-Baghdadi was one of the bad days, on which America suffered an agonizing blow.

In his speech, Obama bent all his rhetoric skill and intelligence to drawing a thick line between 29-year-old Omar Mateen and "one of the world's great religions" by dismissing him as a "disturbed individual" notwithstanding the mass-murderer's oath of allegiance to the ISIS leader.

Obviously, any young Muslim ready to die in the service of ISIS for a terrorist attack on harmless civilians is "disturbed."

This label is not a strategy and it will endure in the very short term only up to the next attack by an Islamic terrorist. Neither can such language be simplistically applied for thwarting terrorism, such as the jihadist killing sprees at San Bernardino, Paris and Brussels, the blowing-up of Russian and Egyptians airliners, the murderous assaults in Amman, Jordan and the Sarona Market in Tel Aviv - and now, Orlando, which capping a run of disasters that spread like a malignant plague in under a year.

Obama's words will not reassure worried and suffering Americans that the plague is over. His tactic, used also by the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, to urge restricting the purchase of guns as the main root of the evil, is no more than a distraction from the main cause. Denying Muslim terrorists free access to assault rifles will not stop them from getting hold of these guns and other weapons of death from illicit sources.

The same goes for Obama's lengthy defense against critics who accuse him of deliberately avoiding using the term "radical Islam" in relation to terror.

"What exactly would using this label accomplish?" he asked rhetorically. "What exactly would it change? Would it make ISIL less committed to try and kill Americans?"

The truth is that a clear and precise definition of the enemy is vital to any nation and army fighting a war. When this definition is fuzzy or imprecise, the war is liable to continue to limp along as it does today against an enemy whose main advantage is relentless, undivided resolve.

Even if Obama is correct in calling ISIS a perversion of Islam that is not shared by a billion Muslims worldwide, it will continue to spread, in the absence of a practical strategy for stemming Islamic terror, and  American and European cities will continue to live under its dark cloud.

Omar Mateen, a US Muslim citizen aged 29, son of Afghan migrants, perpetrated the deadliest shooting attack in American history on June 12, when he massacred 50 people and injured 53 at the Pulse gay club in Orlando, Florida, with an AR 15 assault rifle and a Glock 17 handgun.

The guns were purchased legally a few days earlier at a local shop. This alone ought to have alerted the various US intelligence and surveillance agencies responsible for countering terrorism - except that, for lack of coordination, they missed the fact that a man twice questioned by the FBI was suddenly loading up on deadly weapons.

Mateen fit the profile of an Islamic terrorist, whose attributes the incumbent US administration consistently refuses to acknowledge: He was a Muslim, whose Afghan immigrant father is a Taliban supporter; a religious extremist, who recently made the pilgrimage to Mecca; he was divorced, known for violence, and licensed as a security officer to carry a gun.

The Orlando killer had long been overdue for close monitoring - or least a flag to prevent him from working as a security officer or carrying arms.

In 2013-14, the FBI interviewed him after he made "inflammatory remarks" to a colleague, before closing its investigation.

In 2014, the FBI hauled him in again over a connection with Moner Mohammad Abu-Salha, a 22-year old Palestinian American. They had grown up together at the small Florida coastal town of Fort Pierce. Abu Salha went off to Syria, joined the al Qaeda-linked Nusra Front and killed himself in a suicide attack by driving a massive truck bomb into a restaurant filled with Syrian government soldiers.

Yet the FBI against closed the file on Mateen after determining that the links between the two young Muslims did not warrant a full-dress inquiry.

Compiling all the known data on the Orlando killer with the results of the FBI interviews with him would have placed him high on the list of suspects and called in for further questioning.
The oversights of US law enforcement, intelligence and security agencies recur each time Islamist terrorists strike. The Ramadan 2016 attack in Orlando showed that no lessons had been learned from the lapses that led to 9/11.

The FBI erred gravely in closing the case over the Mateen connection with the Palestinian American suicide bomber. This explains why senior FBI officials are down-playing the importance of that connection.

When he was exculpated, the federal authorities also discontinued electronic surveillance of the terrorist's movements. So they missed his mounting extremism, his frequent attendance at a mosque led by a radical imam, who regularly incited his flock to murder ("Gays must die"). He thus kept his Security Officer's ID which gave him access to secure government sites. His name was kept on the list of licensees for carrying firearms.

It is especially hard to understand the lackadaisical handling by federal agents of this prime suspect when the FBI Director James Comey was reiterating: "The Islamic State remains the top threat America is facing."

Before entering the Pulse night club with the intent to slaughter those partying inside, Mateen called 911 and swore allegiance to the leader of the 'Islamic State's Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, and recalled Tamerlan and Dzhokhar, the brothers responsible for the 2013 Boston Marathon terror attack.

For 20 minutes, the dispatchers did not understand what he was saying and lost the chance to triangulate his cellular phone's location and send police to nab him.

At the door of the club, he got into a brief exchange of fire with policeman before going in. Mateen went from room to room, firing well aimed semi-automatic rounds, killing tens of people, wounding tens more, and rounding up 30 people as hostages. He knew enough from his experience as a security guard to lock them in the restrooms which had no windows.

Long before the police, the city hall or any other official entity came to their senses, the club's management sent a message via social networks: 'Everyone get out of pulse and keep running.'

For three precious hours, dozens of police cars and ambulances, with FBI agents, dog handlers, special bomb disposal units, and other security officials huddled outside the club without doing anything. During those hours only a few shots sounded and many of those wounded lost their lives from blood loss and lack of medical treatment.

Only at 5 am, did the special anti-terror unit enter the scene, with one team using small detonators and firing at the terrorist to distract him, while a force of 9 officers blew up the opposite wall and broke a hole through which they could enter, fire and kill the terrorist. This entire event took 4 minutes.

Despite the three-hour wait, not enough ambulances had reached the scene, and some of the casualties had to be driven in civilian vehicles.

Mateen committed his murderous assault on the 300 partygoers at the Pulse club with ease, due to a number of factors:
*US law enforcement agencies have shown inexplicable tolerance toward Islamist extremists to the point that the Orlando killer was free to purchase an unlimited amount of deadly weapons.

*Due to lack of coordination between intelligence and law enforcement agencies, this killer was able to gain employment with a firm that trains its personnel in the use of firearms.

*As soon as the local police were alerted to gunfire at the door of the club, they should have swarmed in to neutralize the killer. The three-hour wait for the SWAT team's arrival betokened weakness and an unwillingness to fight, so leaving the horrendous event in the hands of the terrorist.

*Pinning the dreadful episode on lack of gun control avoids the issue. Terrorists will always find murder weapons - if not guns, then homemade bombs like the Boston Marathon brothers, kitchen knives or vehicles. Even in countries with strict gun control, there is always a black market.

17 Facts About the Orlando Shooter That Every American Should Know - By Michael Snyder - http://endoftheamericandream.com/archives/17-facts-about-the-orlando-shooter-that-every-american-should-know

America is in shock.  On Sunday, a 29-year-old Islamic terrorist named Omar Mateen shot 102 people at a gay club known as Pulse in the heart of Orlando, Florida.  49 of those that were shot died, and 53 were wounded.  So how in the world did this happen?  Well, when you combine radical political correctness with extreme government incompetence and the dramatic growth of radical Islam inside the United States, you create an environment which is absolutely primed for Islamic terror.  The truth is that the FBI knew about this guy well in advance.  In fact, they had even interviewed him three separate times over the years.  And at one point the government had been investigating the mosque that he had been attending, but that investigation was shut down by Hillary Clinton's State Department.  Mateen had told the FBI that he hoped to be a martyr someday, and those were not just idle words.  His twisted ideology fueled his actions, and so the choices that he ultimately made should not have come as a surprise to law enforcement authorities.  But now that this has happened, will it change the way that the government approaches Islamic terror?  The following are 17 facts about the Orlando shooter that every American should know...

#1 According to the Director of the FBI, Mateen had "links to al-Qaida, Hezbollah, and the Islamic State".

#2 Mateen's father has openly expressed support for the Taliban on YouTube.

#3 Despite those links to terror organizations, Mateen was allowed to work "as a security guard at a local courthouse".

#4 Mateen wasn't directly hired by the courthouse.  Instead, he was officially an employee of the largest security services company in the world...

The Orlando nightclub terrorist who pledged allegiance to ISIS worked almost a decade for a major Department of Homeland Security contractor, raising alarms that ISIS sympathizers and agents have infiltrated the federal agency set up after 9/11 to combat terrorists.

Officials say Omar Mir Seddique Mateen, an Afghan-American who held two firearms licenses and a security officer license, was employed by the security firm G4S Secure Solutions USA Inc. since Sept. 10, 2007. The Jupiter, Fla.-based company merged with the Wackenhut Corp. after 9/11 and assumed federal contracts.

#5 It turns out that this U.S. subsidiary of G4S is a company that works very closely with "the Department of Homeland Security, the US Army, and federal and local law enforcement."

#6 Mateen's ex-wife says that he would repeatedly beat her while they were married.

#7 He started to become radicalized after separating from his first wife.  While they were together, she said that he didn't show much interest in religion.

#8 He made pilgrimages to Saudi Arabia in 2011 and 2012.

#9 He claimed to personally know the Boston Marathon Bombers.

#10 According to the FBI, Mateen has "been on the radar before", he was interviewed by them three separate times, and they conducted a 10 month investigation of his activities in 2013.

#11 He is being described as "unhinged and unstable" by his former coworkers.

#12 Mateen once declared that he hoped to martyr himself someday, and the FBI knew all about this.

#13 Despite everything that the federal government knew about Mateen, he was still permitted to legally buy guns just last week.

#14 In an odd twist, it also turns out that Mateen was a registered Democrat.

#15 A respected Islamic scholar was urging Muslims in Orlando to "get rid" of homosexuals just a couple of months before this shooting took place...

Farrokh Sekaleshfar - a British-born doctor and Muslim scholar - has gained a following by urging Muslims to 'get rid of' homosexuals.

And in April, he took his speech titled 'How to deal with the phenomenon of homosexuality' to the Husseini Islamic Center in Sanford, just outside Orlando, Florida.

Two months later, 29-year-old Omar Mateen carried out the worst massacre in US history by opening fire on a gay club in the same city.

#16 Hillary Clinton's State Department shut down an investigation of the mosque that Mateen attends because it "unfairly singled out Muslims".

#17 Just moments before the attack, Mateen reportedly called 911 to swear his allegiance to ISIS.

When is it going to finally sink in for our politically correct politicians that Islamic terror is a major threat?

There are lots of other Omar Mateens out there.  And as radical Islam continues to spread both inside and outside this country, the threat is only going to get a lot worse.

Barack Obama is a perfect example of just how clueless many of our top politicians are about all of this.  During his speech to the nation, he did not connect this act of terror with radical Islam in any way, shape or form.  But the only reason why Mateen did what he did was because of his worldview.  He felt perfectly justified in picking up a weapon and gunning down dozens of people, and martyrdom was a reward in his eyes.  If he had not been immersed in the world of radical Islam for years, he never would have done such a thing.

Wrong beliefs lead to wrong actions.  We see this in action all around us every day, but most of the time the consequences are not as dramatic as we just witnessed in Orlando.

As I have been warning about for some time now, Islamic terror attacks inside the United States are going to continue to get worse.

If you think what happened in Orlando was bad, just wait until these terrorists get their hands on chemical, biological or nuclear weapons.

The detonation of a single weapon of mass destruction in one of our major cities would instantly change life as we know it for every man, woman and child in this entire nation.

The ideology that fuels these terrorists continues to grow, and over time it is inevitable that they will acquire increasingly more powerful weapons.

So yes, gunning down dozens of people in a crowded nightclub is an atrocity that is so evil that it is hard to find words to describe it.

But someday we will see far, far worse in this nation, and at this point we are completely unprepared to deal with that reality.

The horrific shooting attack on a gay nightclub in Orlando Florida, Sunday, June 12, which claimed 50 lives and injured 53 people, bore the hallmarks of Islamist terror - even before the FBI defined it as a terror incident and identified the perpetrator as Omar Mateen, in his 20s, of Afghan origin, from Port Luce, Florida.

Heavily armed with an assault rifle, a handgun, and a suspicious "device," the shooter was described as trained in the use of weapons, "organized and well prepared" with leanings towards international terrorism.

This was also the first time since President Barack Obama took office, that the FBI frankly referred to "terror" so soon after an attack.

The Islamic State-affiliated Twitter account has already posted a photo claimed to be Orlando night club gunman Omar Mateen.

The toll at Orlando exceeded the 14 murdered at San Bernadino by an Islamist couple last December, making it the deadliest terrorist outrage since 9/11. Then, the president avoided explicitly citing "Islamist extremists," as he did after Capt. Nidal Hasan gunned down 13 American servicemen and women at Ford Hood on Nov. 5, 2009.

The new openness displayed by federal officials and some US media to mentioning Islamists or jihadis as responsible for terror attacks reflects the changing political climate in America under the influence of the presidential campaign apace between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

Because of the Orlando outrage, the presumptive Democratic nominee is liable to find Obama's sponsorship places her at a disadvantage against her fiercely combative and blunt Republican rival.

Former Speaker Newt Gingrich, one of three figures short-listed by Trump as his running mate, made this comment: "If the FBI knew that this guy was engaged with serious Islamic groups, we're going to have to redefine for the courts national security restrictions, and say if we know that you're in contact with people who actively want to kill Americans, we're going to lock you up," he said. That is what America did under Nazi threat in the '30s.  "This is an alien ideology that wants to destroy our civilization and our current approach to it is incredibly incompetent."

It is now up to the FBI to determine whether Omar Mateen carried out the Orlando massacre at the behest or an ISIS call on its cells and Muslim sympathizers in America to mark the month-long Ramadan festival by killing more Americans and others. If so, this would be part of an Islamist State' declaration of worldwide terror onslaught, part of a series that was kicked off last week in Jordan with the murder of five intelligence officers on June 6, followed two days later by a shooting attack that left four Israelis dead at a popular shopping and restaurant center in Tel Aviv. Ramadan has still three weeks to go.

Orlando shooter a 'lone wolf'? Not so fast! - Garth Kant - http://www.wnd.com/2016/06/orlando-shooter-a-lone-wolf-not-so-fast/

'Every single Muslim is individually responsible in a personal way for upholding Shariah'

"Lone Wolf terrorism is a concept designed to make Americans stupid. There is no such thing," bluntly stated Marine Corps University professor Sebastian Gorka on Fox News, moments before President Obama addressed the nation about the Orlando terror attack that killed at least 50 people.

One of the nation's top Middle East experts told WND there is a much more informative phrase to describe the kind of terrorist who committed the worst mass murder in U.S. history early Sunday morning at gay night club: "individual jihadist."

WND asked Clare Lopez: Would you say there's no such thing as a "lone wolf"?

"I wouldn't say that," because it would just confuse people who have come to know what the expression is intended to mean, she explained.

"I would just never use that term, ever. Ever, ever. I would rather say this is a case of individual jihad, because that's an actual doctrine in Islam. I don't want people to wonder what I'm talking about, so I would rather just explain what it really is. It is individual jihad - that is a doctrine in Islam."

She observed that just because such terrorists are individuals doesn't mean they are acting in a vacuum.

The attack happened during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, which runs this year from June 6 to July 6, and, Lopez noted, there are Islamic leaders, including the spokesman for the Islamic State, who have "called upon all Muslims to attack Americans especially, and specifically to attack civilians. It's written that way exactly, to attack civilians. And obviously because of homosexuality being a hudud (a capital crime in Islamic law) that target was chosen. And it was a soft target, too."

So, those calls act as a trigger regardless of whether there's any formal affiliation with organized terrorist groups?

"Yes. Maybe as the FBI investigates they'll find some kind of more formal connection. We just don't really know yet. We're not denying that exists; we just don't know. But what I'm saying is, it doesn't have to be there."

In fact, after WND interviewed Lopez, it was reported that shooter Omar Mateen, a 29-year-old U.S. citizen of Afghan descent from Port St. Lucie, Florida, called 9-1-1 Saturday night and pledged allegiance to ISIS. That pledge was later confirmed by Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, who said he got that information from the Department of Homeland Security.

Lopez is the vice president for research and analysis at the Center for Security Policy and has an impressive array of credentials. In addition to spending two decades in the field as a CIA operations officer, Lopez was an instructor for military intelligence and special forces students; has been a consultant, intelligence analyst and researcher within the defense sector; and has published two books on Iran. She also served as a foreign policy adviser to the presidential campaign of Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas.

She further explained she objected to the term "lone wolf" because, while individual jihadists may not have a formal connection to a recognized terrorist organization, there is still an essential link: a common ideology.

"Their allegiance is to Islam and to Shariah, to Islamic law," said Lopez. "And, of course, under Islamic law homosexuality is a capital crime. It is one of the crimes called illicit sex, addressed both in the Quran and in the hadiths. The death penalty typically is supposed to be stoning, but bullets will do."

Lopez described something else that all individual jihadists have in common with such groups as al-Qaida and ISIS: a religious obligation. In fact, it is something that binds all Muslims, at least, in theory.

"Under Islamic law and doctrine, there is something called 'enjoin the good, forbid the evil,' and this derives, again, from the sunnah, which is an account of the life of Muhammad, and the hadiths," said the scholar and former spy.

"What it means is that every single Muslim is individually responsible in a personal way for upholding Shariah. In other words, that doctrine makes of every single Muslim a potential, a possible, vigilante. They are obligated to enforce Shariah on an individual basis."

She contrasted Muslim and Christian attitudes by observing, "Christians are obligated to live by the 10 Commandments, but each individual Christian isn't obligated for enforcing them."

"But in Islam, it's the other way," she emphasized. "Each Muslim is obligated to enforce it. They are supposed to start by speaking and trying to persuade somebody, or show them the evil of their ways, or whatever they can. But if that doesn't work, then they are obligated to take physical action."

In his comments on the atrocity, Obama did call it an act of terror, but he never once mentioned the words Islam, Islamic or Muslim.

WND asked if there was a danger in Obama not calling it "Islamic terrorism," and his preference for putting the blame for terror on groups, rather than their common ideology.

"Yes," Lopez stated simply. "The way the U.S. law works right now, if you cannot tie a person or an act to one of those groups on the foreign terrorist organization list that the State Department keeps, you cannot legally call it terrorism.

"And, of course, that's absurd because there doesn't have to be a formal connection. There may be one. We don't know yet. But there doesn't have to be one because their allegiance is not necessarily only to a group; it's to Islam. To Islamic law, to Shariah. That's the allegiance. And that spans the globe."

Did she believe there will be an increasing number of these individual jihad attacks?

"Yes. Absolutely," she said, especially during Ramadan.

Did she have any insight into how a first-generation American, born in this country, could become homicidally radicalized?

"I would never use those words, either. As I understand it, this individual is the son of immigrants from Afghanistan. If he was raised in a devout Muslim family, he learned from childhood what jihad is, and what the obligations of Shariah are."

She said that would be especially true if he went to mosque with his parents, and if he was put in a children's class called a madrasa.

"Most mosques and Islamic centers have schools attached to them for the children. I've read some of the children's textbooks they use in these madrasas. They teach them jihad from the first grade."

The Orlando shooter's father, from Afghanistan, denied the mass murder had anything to do with religion and insisted his son was provoked when his son saw two men kissing. However, the Daily Mail reported that Seddique Mateen "is a strong supporter of the Afghan Taliban."

He appears online in a YouTube video saying, "Our warrior brothers in [the] Taliban movement and national Afghan Taliban are rising up."

WND began to ask Lopez, is this more mainstream than ...

But Lopez answered emphatically before the question could be completed: "Absolutely."

She then cited a Pew Research Center survey on the attitudes of Muslims around the world and observed how a disturbing percentage supported Shariah as the law of the land.

"These are the countries of origin for our Muslim immigrants. I mean, where do we think our Muslim refugees are immigrants are coming from? They come from the countries in the Pew Research survey where 80 percent more of the respondents support Shariah as one and only law of the land."

Indeed, support for Shariah as the law of the land in Afghanistan, where the Orlando shooter's parents came from, is a staggering 99 percent.

In Iraq, it's 91 percent. In the Palestinian territories, 89 percent. It's 84 percent in Pakistan. No figures were given for Syria, where the Islamic State is headquartered.

Lopez described how easily those attitudes are imported to America in the Internet age.

"In the United States, you've got Islamic jurists, scholars and imams who are answering questions online to American Muslims. I'm looking at one right now. Just go to the website called Islam Question and Answer."

"There's a sheik who is answering questions online and he is from Syria. And he is talking about homosexuality. What is the punishment for homosexuality? He says, 'The crime of homosexuality is one of the greatest crimes, one of the worst of sins, one of the most abhorrent of deeds and Allah punished those who did it,' etcetera, etcetera. Then he cited one of the hadiths because that's where the basis of this punishment comes from."

"So this is being taught to American Muslims."

Lopez thought that Islamic immigrants themselves might be too busy becoming settled to become too involved in jihadsim. But the interest is growing among their American-born offspring.

"What we are seeing it is the first and second generation that are more active, and I think that's the pattern were going to see going forward," somberly concluded Lopez.

After the interview, it turned out Mateen may not have been an individual jihadist, at all.

Breitbart's Aaron Klein, WND's former Jerusalem bureau chief, reported that the killer was a member of a terrorist organization, "one of the groups that fall under the jihadiya Salafiya franchise, meaning the network of loosely-based Salafist jihadist groups such as the Islamic State, Al-Qaeda, and the Al Nusra Front."

Though the US "president" refuses to call it what it is-Islamic terror-21st Century America is learning the unfortunate lesson of Islam. Islam is not compatible with a free society. Israel faces the same reality every day, living in the shadows of Islamic terrorism. The more Islam, the more slavery, crime, death and destruction. This is historic fact. Every State Department report on human rights points to the nations that violate liberty and human rights. They are those of Islamic influence. The "president" and the presumptive Democratic Party nominee for President, Hillary Clinton, both seek to import such by the hundreds of thousands. The deadly virus of Islam is here and is welcomed by certain politicians.

Islam is a beast system that attempts to devour all who assist it, all who oppose it, all who live within it. When the US "president" negotiated with the Islamic terrorist state of Iran, Iran's Islamic leadership condemned America as satan. While billions of dollars were being released to Iran for its signature on a nuclear deal, Iran was not feeding its people, but rather increasing its military development by a like amount. There has been no US "president" as friendly to Islam as the current one, yet America is under continuous threat of Islamic terrorism. Wherever there is Islam, the peaceful and law abiding are in danger. The policies and Islamic advisors of America's leadership have put our families in harms way.

Islam claims its roots in Ishmael. Genesis 16:11-12 says, "And the angel of the Lord said unto her (Hagar), Behold, you are with child, and shall bear a son, and shall call his name Ishmael...And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him." Later, Esau (son of Isaac, brother of Jacob, grandson of Abraham) married Ishmael's daughter Bashemath. Esau's lineage became the enemies of God's people along with the Ishmaelites. This heritage is what informs modern Islam as established by Mohammad, who claimed to be a direct descendent of Ishmael. Since its beginning, this has been a violence upon those who follow the one true God, YHVH.

The beast nations that attack Israel in the "latter days" are Islamic. Ezekiel 38 and 39 describe the nations that come against Israel in a colossal end time battle. Magog, Meshech, and Tubal are located in modern Turkey. Persia is modern Iran. Ethiopia is modern Sudan. Libya is Libya. All are aggressive Islamic states. The theme of Genesis 16:12 is repeated in Ezekiel 38:21, "And I will call for a sword against him (Gog) throughout all my mountains, says the Lord God: every man's sword shall be against his brother." Islam is a death cult. It thrives on death and destruction. It plies the weak with its religion, saying "peace, peace" when there is no peace. Because of bad leadership, Americans will have to learn to live with Islamic terror to the prophetic end. This Islamic virus is an ever-present threat to the civil and law abiding.
