TRUMP WATCH: 6.15.19 - Trump's peace plan puts Israel's security first

Trump's peace plan puts Israel's security first
- By Boaz Bismuth -

In an exclusive interview with "Israel Hayom" Editor-in-Chief Boaz Bismuth, the former U.N. ambassador says she has read the plan and that "Israel should not be worried," and that Abbas revealed his true colors by refusing to come to the table.

Nikki Haley may no longer be the United States' permanent representative to the United Nations, but her passion for defending Israel is as strong as ever.

The Jewish community in the United States and Israelis by and large treated Haley as the superstar of the Trump administration because she relentlessly took the United Nations to task and put a mirror in front of the international organization, revealing just how biased it was toward Israel.""
Now, as a private citizen, she takes pains to assure Israelis they have nothing to fear regarding the administration's peace efforts, just weeks before the rollout of the economic component of its peace plan. She says U.S. President Donald Trump's peace team considers Israel's security paramount.

Haley sat down for an interview with Israel Hayom Editor-in-Chief Boaz Bismuth on Thursday in New York. The following are excerpts from the interview.

Q: Later this month, the administration will roll out the economic component of its peace plan. Some in Israel are worried that the U.S. would want something from Israel in return for recognizing Jerusalem as its capital and recognizing its sovereignty over the Golan Heights. Should Israel be worried about the plan?

"Israel should not be worried. Because through the Middle East plan, one of the main goals that [Senior Adviser to the President] Jared Kushner and [U.S. Special Representative for International Negotiations] Jason Greenblatt focused on was to not hurt the national security interests of Israel. They understand the importance of security, they understand the importance of keeping Israel safe. I think everybody needs to go into it with an open mind, everybody should want a peace plan. Everybody should want to make way for a better situation in Israel and I think it can happen. So rather than pushing back against what we don't know, I hope everybody would lean in on what the possibilities [...] of the peace plan could look like and think of a better life for everyone."

Knowing the two sides and all the actors in the Middle East, does it have a chance?

"I am an optimist. It's not going to be easy. Both sides won't love it. And both sides won't hate it. But both sides have to want peace. And if they do, they will be deciding the details. Not the U.S. And I think it is worth taking that chance. It is worth trying for. At this point, it is hard to see an opportunity in which Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas is even going to come to the table, and I think that ... it shows Abbas's true colors. It shows the Arab community's true colors, that they [the Arab states] don't really care about the Palestinians, because if the Palestinians were that much of a priority, everybody would be holding Abbas's hand and leading him to the table. Everybody and Abbas himself would want better."

Are you familiar with some of the details of the peace plan?

"I have read the plan, yes."

So you shared your opinion and advice on it?

"I read the plan and think it is very thoughtful, and very well done and it very much takes into account both sides' vulnerabilities and both sides' wants."

How is life outside the United Nations?

"It is nice to be a private citizen for the first time in eight years. That has been really nice, to bring the stress level down. But the issues I care about didn't go away, and the issues that I fought for are still very strong."

Is the U.N. an important institution?

"I think the question is, does the U.N. want to be an important institution. Right now it is very wasteful and very bureaucratic, it can be strongly anti-U.S. and clearly anti-Israel. So what I said to the secretary general and what I said to the ambassadors when I left was, 'The sustainability of the U.N. depends on those elements.' If they change with the times, the U.N. will be relevant. If they start talking about things that are uncomfortable, to talk instead of the decades-old problems that we have always talked about, they can possibly move, but if they continue going down the path they are on, it's very hard to see how they'll continue with effect."

Because we need to remember - Bill Wilson -

Many in the news media are hailing President Donald Trump's speech in Normandy, France commemorating D-Day as his best ever. Maybe it's just a biscuit toss by the media to try to show they are unbiased. Then it will be back to business as usual. Notwithstanding, the President honored those who fought at Normandy 75 years ago, those who sacrificed, those who gave their lives that you and I can actually be free in reading this Daily Jot in American English rather than being forced to read it secretly in German or Japanese under Fascist rule. A heroic and serious generation saved us from tyranny. It was a selfless sacrifice that we need to remember in this time when political intolerance blows across America.

The President began by recounting the story of Normandy with vivid imagery: "Their mission is the story of an epic battle and the ferocious, eternal struggle between good and evil...After months of planning, the Allies had chosen this ancient coastline to mount their campaign to vanquish the wicked tyranny of the Nazi empire from the face of the Earth...They came from the farms of a vast heartland, the streets of glowing cities, and the forges of mighty industrial towns. Before the war, many had never ventured beyond their own community. Now they had come to offer their lives half a world from home...The GIs who boarded the landing craft that morning knew that they carried on their shoulders not just the pack of a soldier, but the fate of the world.

"Down on the beach, Captain Joe Dawson, the son of a Texas preacher, led Company G through a minefield to a natural fold in the hillside, still here. Just beyond this path to my right, Captain Dawson snuck beneath an enemy machine gun perch and tossed his grenades. Soon, American troops were charging up "Dawson's Draw." What a job he did. What bravery he showed...These men ran through the fires of hell moved by a force no weapon could destroy: the fierce patriotism of a free, proud, and sovereign people. They battled not for control and domination, but for liberty, democracy, and self-rule. They pressed on for love in home and country - the Main Streets, the schoolyards, the churches and neighbors, the families and communities that gave us men such as these.

"They were sustained by the confidence that America can do anything because we are a noble nation, with a virtuous people, praying to a righteous God. The exceptional might came from a truly exceptional spirit. The abundance of courage came from an abundance of faith...As they confronted their fate, the Americans and the Allies placed themselves into the palm of God's hand." In reading Trump's speech, I am reminded of the verses in Isaiah 41:12-13, "They that war against you shall be as nothing, and as a thing of naught. For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee." I'm sure there was fear aplenty on June 6, 1944, but if they could tell you today, these brave men may also say in the moment that mattered there was no fear as the Lord helped them. Praise God that He was with them.

The most amazing story never told - Bill Wilson -

While the coup-makers in the Democratic Party are cheerleading the idea of impeaching a duly-elected president for obstructing investigations into his alleged collaboration with Russia to influence the 2016 elections, the media is largely ignoring the source of the Russian narrative-which is the previous president, presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, the FBI, and members of Congress-all of which were trying to sell a narrative that Donald Trump was in cahoots with the Russians to undermine the presidential elections. But there is new evidence that the former president, the Democratic Party, Hillary Clinton, and members of Congress conspired to fabricate the Russian narrative and undermine US voters.

Judicial Watch and the Daily Caller News Foundation have released 16 pages of documents obtained under the Freedom of Information Act revealing that former Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland and Special Coordinator for Libya Jonathan Winer coordinated with then-House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer's (D-MD) national security advisor, Daniel Silverberg to work on Russia dossier materials provided by Christopher Steele, the former British spy and author of the anti-Trump dossier used to justify a series of FISA spy warrants to spy on the Trump campaign and transition team. Winer is a former Obama State Department deputy assistant secretary who was implicated in working with Steele and Clinton associate Sidney Blumenthal to circulate the anti-Trump dossier.

It's an amazing story that is not being told by the news media. Yet, the coup-makers in the Democratic Party continue to press for investigations and calls for impeachment based on this Steele dossier that was paid for by the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee. The biased AP writes, "As Democrats in Congress press for continued investigation of Trump while he remains in office, the party's presidential candidates are weighing how to address his alleged misdeeds when he is no longer in the White House...nearly half of the more than 20 Democratic primary candidates are calling for the start of an impeachment inquiry." Absolutely no mention of the Democratic conspiracy to use false information to undermine the election, spy on a president-elect, and push for obstruction charges when he fights back.

As Judicial Watch has revealed with hard evidence, even Democrats in Congress were in on the conspiracy. Yet no coverage and no charges brought forth. Neither the media nor the people will stand against the lie. While not in the same context as the revealing of the "Wicked" one in the end of days, this charade is akin to a type and shadow of 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12, "And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness." Just so you can see how it can happen, and be aware of the deceptive spirit of evil.

New foreign election influence scandal - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com

The ongoing coup attempt by the radical leftist neo communists continues without any subscription to fact, honesty or common sense. Political people say the most outrageous things. The media shovels it up out of the ideological gutter and throws it on the gullible pile where ignorant and unthinking minions snarf if up as if it is a fountain of truth. People need to wake up and start thinking on their own. Hosea 4:6 says, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, that you shall be no priest to me: because you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children." Pretty harsh consequences for ignorance, right? Well here is another example...

In an Oval Office interview Wednesday ABC News chief anchor George Papadopoulos asked President Donald Trump if his campaign would accept damaging information from a foreign government about a 2020 political opponent or hand it over to the FBI. Trump responded, "I think maybe you do both. I think you might want to listen. There's nothing wrong with listening. If somebody called from a country, Norway, 'We have information on your opponent' - oh, I think I'd want to hear it. If I thought there was something wrong, I'd go maybe to the FBI if I thought there was something wrong,"Democrats expressed outrage, saying this proves that Trump would collude with a foreign government to influence a US election.

Former Vice President and Democratic presidential frontrunner Joe Biden's campaign tweeted: "President Trump is once again welcoming foreign interference in our elections. This isn't about politics. It is a threat to our national security. An American President should not seek their aid and abet those who seek to undermine democracy." Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) said it was "time to impeach" Trump. Congressman Eric Swalwell (D-CA) announced he supported impeachment after Trump's comments. The question was obviously a set up because any answer would have prompted a media landslide and strong political demagoguery from the neo communist coup-makers. But let's take an inventory of who listens to foreign governments.

The immediate past president, the Democratic National Committee, and Hillary Clinton secretly paid for a foreign national, Christopher Steele, to fabricate a dossier of Trump-Russian collusion to undermine the election. The Democrat's chief investigator, Congressman Adam Schiff (D-CA), also sought information on Trump from Ukrainian government officials. The DNC also accepted information on Trump from the Ukraine. The former president and the FBI used the information in the Steele dossier to obtain a secret FISA court warrant to spy on Trump's campaign, even after he was elected, to try to overturn the election results. Yet they accuse Trump of foreign collusion. This is an excellent example of fake news accusing someone of doing exactly what the accusers have done. And knowledge-rejecting ignoramuses will believe it.
