The War Before Gog and Magog - A. V. Rauf - https://bibleprophecyfortoday.com/2020/01/11/the-war-before-gog-and-magog/
As we begin this year 2020, in a previous post I had mentioned that prophetic events are accelerating at a breakneck speed and much of what the prophets of the Old Testament and Jesus Christ Himself spoke about is rapidly coming to pass.
Furthermore, the Number Twenty in the Bible is associated with war. We are now looking at a Double 20 (2020).
Respectfully speaking, many Bible prophecy scholars and student alike are quick to rush to the conclusion that the War of Gog and Magog, as prophesied in Ezekiel 38-39 is looming. To some extent, I agree. I also am leaning towards the probability that the Battle of Gog and Magog will also be a transitional event that leads to the 70th Week of Daniel as prophesied in Daniel 9:20-26
Daniel 9:20-26 (NLT)-I went on praying and confessing my sin and the sin of my people, pleading with the Lord my God for Jerusalem, his holy mountain. 21 As I was praying, Gabriel, whom I had seen in the earlier vision, came swiftly to me at the time of the evening sacrifice. 22 He explained to me, "Daniel, I have come here to give you insight and understanding. 23 The moment you began praying, a command was given. And now I am here to tell you what it was, for you are very precious to God. Listen carefully so that you can understand the meaning of your vision.24 "A period of seventy sets of seven[c] has been decreed for your people and your holy city to finish their rebellion, to put an end to their sin, to atone for their guilt, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to confirm the prophetic vision, and to anoint the Most Holy Place.[d] 25 Now listen and understand! Seven sets of seven plus sixty-two sets of seven[e] will pass from the time the command is given to rebuild Jerusalem until a ruler-the Anointed One[f]-comes. Jerusalem will be rebuilt with streets and strong defenses,[g] despite the perilous times.26 "After this period of sixty-two sets of seven,[h] the Anointed One will be killed, appearing to have accomplished nothing, and a ruler will arise whose armies will destroy the city and the Temple. The end will come with a flood, and war and its miseries are decreed from that time to the very end. 27 The ruler will make a treaty with the people for a period of one set of seven,[i] but after half this time, he will put an end to the sacrifices and offerings. And as a climax to all his terrible deeds,[j] he will set up a sacrilegious object that causes desecration,[k] until the fate decreed for this defiler is finally poured out on him."
I will be reposting pertinent writings on both the War of Gog and Magog as well as the Rapture.
I anticipate things to happen "suddenly," By the way, the war of Isaiah 17 in which Damascus is destroyed, culminates suddenly, in one day.
Isaiah 7:14-The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.2 The cities of Aroer are forsaken: they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid.3 The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith the Lord of hosts.4 And in that day it shall come to pass.....
Back to Iran for now. Iran is currently the most heavily armed nation in the Middle East region. As you study the prophecies in Ezekiel 38, Persia is not leading but is actually playing a tertiary role, They are following Gog and Magog or whom most Bible prophecy scholars speculate is Russia and Turkey. Iran (or Persia) is also accompanied in the coalition by Libya and Ethiopia/Sudan:
Ezekiel 38: 1- 4---Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,3 And say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:
Is it a coincidence that last month Turkey and the Government of National Accord (GNA) in Tripoli, Libya signed a military pact that essentially divides the whole Eastern Mediterranean Sea between them. Just this past week, Turkey's parliament voted to approve a request by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to send military forces to Libya. This now sets the stage for a deeper Turkish involvement as an all out proxy war civil war in Libya looms,,
All the pieces are coming into place as Turkey , Russia, Iran are all strategizing.
This is where the prophecies of Jeremiah the prophet come into play.
Jeremiah 49:34-39 in the near term:
Jeremiah 49:34-39-34 The word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah the prophet against Elam in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, saying,35 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, the chief of their might.36 And upon Elam will I bring the four winds from the four quarters of heaven, and will scatter them toward all those winds; and there shall be no nation whither the outcasts of Elam shall not come.37 For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies, and before them that seek their life: and I will bring evil upon them, even my fierce anger, saith the Lord; and I will send the sword after them, till I have consumed them:38 And I will set my throne in Elam, and will destroy from thence the king and the princes, saith the Lord.39 But it shall come to pass in the latter days, that I will bring again the captivity of Elam, saith the Lord.
Anyway, with Iran's recent confession of accepting responsibility for the downing of the Ukrainian plane that took the lives of 176 people and with the United States, Great Britain, Israel and possibly NATO getting involved in destabilizing Iranian Nuclear armament, it is now very plausible that the nations will come together in the near future and some sort of military engagement may take place that results in a reduction to Iranian military power.
This in return would then minimize Iran's military/Nuclear prowess and lessen its status to that of a supporting nation in the Magog coalition of Ezekiel 38-39. Furthermore, I wouldn't rule out a political insurrection. Although the world may perceive Iran as a potential enemy whose religious belief systems are steeped in Apocalyptic revolutionary Shi'ite Islam, which is different from the moderate Sunni belief, the current population in Iran is 81 million and the median age is 31 years old. About 44.8% of the Iranian population are between 30 and 64 years, which means almost half of the population is under 30. God is moving in Iran and salvation is coming to Iran.
Stay tuned.
