The Democrats are so fixated on getting Trump, they will now ally with anyone, even if it means siding with the terrorist state of Iran. Their motto is "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." After Trump ordered the drone strike on General Qasem Soleimani, the left was suddenly having friendly thoughts about a man who had helped kill 100s of American soldiers.
CNN had quoted Iranian President Hassan Rouhani as saying the United States committed a "grave mistake" in killing Iranian commander Qasem Soleimani; and US President Donald Trump responded on Twitter, writing that if Tehran attacks American assets, the US will strike "very hard and very fast."
Some news sources spoke of the man as being quiet and loving poetry. His face gently frosted with a close-cropped white beard, his dreamy eyes seeming to shine with the recollection of a fond memory, he bears more than a passing resemblance to a mid-career Sean Connery, circa Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. He was described as a unifying leader for the Iranian people. Soleimani was the architect of Iran's sphere of influence across the Middle East, and was considered to be the country's second most powerful man.
New York Times journalist Farnaz Fassihi has been parroting Iranian propaganda into the Western media following Iranian Gen. Qasem Soleimani's death. Retired army intelligence officer Tony Shaffer and former CIA chief of station, Daniel Hoffman said some of her tweets were directly cited from anonymous Iranian sources. Shaffer said he believes Fassihi could be getting information fed to her directly from the Iranian government.
A stampede broke out at the funeral for Soleimani; at least 56 people were killed and more than 200 were injured as thousands thronged the procession, Iranian news reports said. The stampede took place in Kerman, the hometown of Soleimani.
A clearly leftist professor is no longer on staff at Babson College in Massachusetts after what he described as a "bad attempt at humor" in a Facebook post, in which he said Supreme Leader of Iran Ali Khamenei "should tweet a list of 52 sites of beloved American cultural heritage that he would bomb." The professor suggested those targets might include Minnesota's Mall of America and a home of the Kardashian family, among other locations.
There was an article on the Babylon Bee that got much attention. It mocked the Democrat's weak tone on the killing of Qasem Soleimani. It was meant to be a work of 100% satire, but it could be seen as predictive of how insane the Democrats may become someday:
At a press conference held on Capitol Hill Friday, mourning Democratic leaders called for flags to be flown half-mast to honor the death of Qasem Soleimani.
Flags were spotted flying at half-mast around the country, notably at The Washington Post, The New York Times, and in front of several celebrities' homes. The celebrities went out and bought an American flag for the first time just to fly it at half-mast for this important time of grief.
"The grieving process is painful but necessary," said Rep. Ilhan Omar. "As a nation, we need to stop and grieve this great, austere, revered religious scholar. He was one of the good ones."
In a rare moment of unity with The Squad, Pelosi gave each of the girls a hug, telling them to just "let it all out" in their time of sadness.
Ocasio-Cortez didn't seem to know what was happening but adjusted her glasses to look smart.
A teary-eyed Barack Obama was also seen solemnly lowering the flag in front of his seaside mansion. "To think, this all could have been prevented with a few pallets of cash." He sighed and stared off into the distance, a look of pain and regret on his face. "If only Trump had targeted a U.S. citizen with a drone strike instead."
Later, Democrats clarified they meant we should fly the Iranian flag at half-mast, not the "offensive and problematic" American flag.
Democrats and the media are now blaming the US and Trump for the fact that Iran shot down a passenger jet. It should be clear to all that Iran's lack of respect for human life is the main reason why those 176 passengers are now dead. If an Iranian soldier shot himself in the foot, the left would blame Trump.
We would not have this insane behavior on the part of the liberal media if people showed their outrage. Giving aid & comfort to the enemy is treason. CNN, ABC, CBS, and PBS might as well relocate to Tehran or Moscow.
I don't expect any type of improvement on the part of the press. I think we are too close to the tribulation hour to allow for reform. When you have the liberal media willing to become chummy with one of America's worst enemies, the end must be very near.

Call me cynical, but I can't help to think an element of the impeachment charade is about creating political ads. Think about all the 30 and 60-second television commercials that the Democratic Party is armed with no matter what happens. Accusation after accusation against the background of sinister images of their bigoted, racist, homophobic, Islamophobic targets. I say "targets" because to the Democratic Party, with its collective mind set on a socialist coup of the United States government, is aiming right now at President Donald Trump. In reality, the target is entirety of its opposition-anyone who runs a campaign against their candidates, especially if they cannot be pressured to accept the leftist agenda.
Maryland Democratic Senator Chris Van Hollen gave a hint recently on MSNBC Live when describing the situation with the Senate impeachment trial. On Friday, January 17, Hollen revealed a parallel strategy. He argued that anybody not for having witnesses in the senate trial would be "fixing and rigging the trial" and "complicit in a cover-up." Hollen went on to say, "You know, we have John Bolton who described what went down as a drug deal. We had this GAO report that finds that the administration broke the law by withholding aid, and Mick Mulvaney and others are right in the middle of that. So, we need four Republican senators, and I think the pressure will build because if you're not willing to call witnesses and get relevant documents at a trial, you are for fixing and rigging the trial. And they would be complicit in a cover-up."
I can only imagine that there will be ads that call every member of the senate up for reelection being complicit in covering up the worst crime in American history, and twisting what was said and done into a condemnation of conservative and/or Christian values. One person, a conservative reviled by the mainstream news media and the leftists called it like it is on Friday January 17th's edition of SiriusXM's Breitbart News Daily for an interview with host Alex Marlow. Matt Schlapp, chair of the American Conservative Union, described Democrats' impeachment push against President Donald Trump as a political measure to bring an end to presidential elections.
Schlapp said, "It's all the marbles in 2020, and I think impeachment really brings that home. The Democrat agenda is radical, but also, as evidenced in DC, it's also not as important to them as is the wholesale destruction of Trump and everyone who supports Trump. This is important for us all to know, that Donald Trump has taken it like no other politician has in an unfair way; impeachment without crimes, so many games, Russian collusion, the special counsel, all of this ridiculousness...We all have to understand that this is a tactic that they're honing not just for Donald Trump or for his family. It's for all of us." It is for all of us.
For me, this is not just about Donald Trump. It is about the freedom we enjoy as citizens of this great nation. It is about religious freedom and freedom of speech. In the name of freedom, these people seek to snuff out any speech or thought that disagrees with their dark and dangerous agenda. No matter who the president, impeachment is not to be used as a political weapon because of disagreement with the decision of the people. Everyone who lives between California and Chicago, and then New York City, is in danger of disenfranchisement, even those who support the Democratic Party. Republican leadership doesn't even seem to understand this grave danger. As in II Timothy 3:13, "Evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived." This deception is far and wide. Discern carefully.

President Trump tweeted his intention to reveal details of the much-awaited 'Deal of the Century' to Prime Minister Netanyahu and his political opponent, Benny Gantz when they come to Washington next week.
Netanyahu is scheduled to meet with the president on Tuesday, though Gantz's schedule has yet to be announced.
As VP Pence noted, the meeting with the president comes at Netanyahu's request. The two are long-time friends and close allies. Pence added that he invited Gantz at Netanyahu's suggestion.
Netanyahu and Gantz have been at odds since national elections in April 2019 and then again in September failed to result in the formation of a coalition for either of the two leading parties; Likud under Netanyahu or Blue and White under Gantz. The third round of elections is planned on March 2.
The Trump peace plan referred to in the media as 'the deal of the century', is an Israeli-Palestinian peace proposal intended to resolve the conflict. In December 2017, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas cut ties with the Trump administration after United States recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. The Trump administration and cut hundreds of millions of dollars in annual aid to the Palestinians, citing the PA's refusal to take part in the administration's peace initiative. Previous administrations have based negotiations on Palestinian pre-conditions that included a capital in Jerusalem, ethnically cleansing Judea and Samaria of all Jews, and granting Israeli citizenship to all descendants of Palestinian refugees.
Earlier this week, Channel 12 News correspondent Amit Segal reported what he believes the deal will (and will not) include. Segal predicted that under the deal, all of the Jewish settlements in Judea and Samaria will remain untouched with only about 15 will be surrounded by Palestinian territory. Other settlements will be connected to Israel by roads under Israeli jurisdiction. Israel would apply sovereignty to about 30% of all the land in Judea and Samaria. All of Jerusalem and its holy sites will remain as part of Israel's capital. The Jordan Valley will remain under Israeli jurisdiction, and the Palestinians will have no border with countries other than Israel and Egypt in Gaza. The Palestinians are expected to recognize Israel as a Jewish state.
Israel would be required to recognize a Palestinian Arab state on the remaining 70% of Judea and Samaria. The Palestinian Authority will be ceded some territory in the Negev to compensate for the land they relinquish in Judea and Samaria. A demilitarized Palestinian state will be declared if they accept the plan and its terms.
The Palestinian Authority would be required to accept four conditions to receive recognition as a state. The PA would have to recognize Israel as the Jewish State, recognize Jerusalem as the capital of the State of Israel, Hamas must disarm, and Gaza must be demilitarized.
Many pundits have suggested that even if Trump offers conditions that include the establishment of an ethnically cleansed, Arab-only Palestinian state inside Israeli borders, the Palestinian Authority will reject the deal. Indeed, PA President Mahmoud Abbas reacted negatively to the announcement that the plan is to be revealed.
"We warn Israel and the American administration against crossing the red lines," Abbas said in a statement. "The Palestinian position supports ending the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories whose capital is East Jerusalem. If the U.S. publishes the 'Deal of the Century', the authority will take steps to protect its basic rights."
On Thursday, Abbas met with Russian President Vladimir Putin who, ironically, was in Israel for a ceremony commemorating the Holocaust, an unsuccessful attempt at genocide that was supported by Haj al Amin Husseini, the founder of Palestinian nationalism. The meeting was held in Bethlehem.
"I welcome my dear friend, President Vladimir Putin, the President of the Federal Republic of Russia, my personal friend and the friend of the Palestinian people who never misses an opportunity to talk about or support the Palestinian cause, and this is what we are accustomed to," Abbas said as he welcomed Putin, according to the Wafa news agency, reporting that the two discussed Trump's proposed peace deal.
On Wednesday, Abbas met French President Emmanuel Macron in Ramallah and expressed hope that France will recognize a Palestinian state.
