According to cybersecurity investigators, Hackers,
based in Iran mounted a three-year campaign of cyber-espionage against
high-ranking US and international officials to gather intelligence on issues
such as economic sanctions and antinuclear proliferation. The hackers developed
connections through websites like Facebook and LinkedIn to trick their targets
into giving up personal data and logon information.
