Defending the Undefendable - Todd Strandberg - http://www.raptureready.com/rap16.html
It would have seemed that the debate over allowing more Muslim refugees into the United States would have been abruptly resolved the night of the Paris terror attacks. Europe has gotten itself into a hellish mess by failing to understand that Muslims are not compatible with Western culture. Strangely, many people in America are unable to grasp this lesson.
The response from the liberal establishment has been to become all the more frantically in support of all things Islamic. They churn out headlines like: "Islamophobic Media Coverage Is Out of Control," "ISIS Does Not Have God on Its Side." And my personal favorite, "A Gay Atheist's Response to Islamophobia."
The left is making an effort to change reality by repeating the same mantra: "Islam is not our adversary." Hillary Clinton proved that she is following this strategy by saying, "Muslims are peaceful, tolerant and have nothing to do with terrorism."
The press should of asked, "Woman, are you crazy?" The Middle East is swarming in terroristic conflicts on a dozen different fronts, and Mrs. Clinton somehow sees the people of this region as a giant love commune.
She thinks using the words "radical Islamic terrorism" is a unhelpful distraction because it gives these criminals more standing than they deserve. According to her, the term plays into their hands by alienating partners we need on our side.
The king of psychobabble is President Obama. He recently said, "I think on one hand, non-Muslims cannot be stereotyped." Meaning these terrorists attacks should not be a reflection on Muslims. He then said, "But I also think the Muslim community has to think about how we make sure that children are not being affected with this twisted notion that somehow they can kill innocent people."
He appeared to emphasize the word "we." Yes, "we" as in Muslims; which is yet another time Obama linked himself to the Islamic faith. You may remember Obama's, "My Muslim faith" remark in an interview with ABC's George Stephanopoulos, who stopped him mid-sentence to remind of his adherence to the "Christian faith."
A number of Christian leaders have been jumping on the "Muslims are just like us" bandwagon. Russell Moore, the president of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention, told BuzzFeed News that he was shocked by the "overheated" rhetoric being employed against Muslims.
"Donald Trump is saber-rattling about shutting down mosques in this country, which, as somebody who works every day on religious liberty, I'm astounded that we could have a presidential candidate of either party speaking in such a way," Moore said.
"Our Muslim neighbors are not people we want to scream and rail at--we don't want to demonize our mission field," Moore said. "Every person may well be our future brother, sister in Christ."
What Mr. Moore failed to take into account is that the Muslim mission field is us. Islamic nations did not become exclusively Islamic by ringing a doorbell and politely asking people if they can talk to them about the prophet Muhammad. (They have very aggressive methods of making new converts.) Christians commonly refer to the Bible as their sword but a Muslim's weapon of persuasion is the sword.
The magazine Christianity Today has long become a tool of the devil, so I am not surprised at all to read contributing editor Martin Saunders explaining away the difficult passages in the Koran. He said it's true that certain verses would seem to endorse the killing of non-Muslims. Take Qur'an 2 v 191, which says in one translation, "Kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from whence they drove you out." Saunders argues that this is only about the ethics of combat. The god of the Koran is really all about mercy and forgiveness.
With so many people buying into the great lie about Islam, it's always comforting to look for those who still hold to the truth. First Baptist Pastor Robert Jeffress of Dallas has responded to the terrorist attacks in Paris by declaring that Islam is "Inspired by Satan Himself" and must be acknowledged and fought against by our government.
"I believe that it is time for us to lay aside political correctness and identify the belief system that is responsible for these horrific acts," Jeffress said. "And that is the evil, evil religion of radical Islam."
"Make no mistake about it--Islam is just not another way to approach God. Islam is a false religion and it is inspired by Satan himself who Jesus said came to steal, kill and destroy, and this weekend we saw the fruit of Satan's destruction in the acts of these terrorists," warned Jeffress.
Franklin Graham, head of Samaritan's Purse and son of the famed preacher Billy Graham, is another straight shooter. He wrote on twitter, "Islam is at war with us -- we've witnessed its evil face firsthand over and over."
Rev. Franklin Graham also said, "Islam has declared war on the world, [and] their goal is world domination." He also said "Let's not forget what they have already done in America, killing nearly 3,000 people on 9/11 and then the carnage at the Boston Marathon in 2013. Add to these attacks the lone wolf Islamists who have followed the call to bring destruction and terror -- it's a long list."
As I'm writing this article the nation of Belgium has come to an absolute standstill. The public schools, the subway system in the capital, businesses, major highways are closed because of the threat from a handful of Islamic terrorists. It's pure madness for people to want to bring more of this plague into our nation.
Perhaps here is some logical thinking behind the liberal's desire for Muslim refugees. Since a certain supernatural event is about to reduce the population of North America by several millions, our soon-be-to-left-behind leaders may just be trying to plan ahead.
"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
