Trump Peace Plan Would Recognize Palestinian State With Capital in Eastern Jerusalem - by Deborah Danan -
The Trump administration's plan to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict will likely include U.S. and international recognition of a Palestinian state with a capital in eastern Jerusalem, the London-based Saudi newspaper Asharq al-Awsat reported on Wednesday.
The Old City of Jerusalem will fall under "international protection," the report claimed, quoting "knowledgeable Arab diplomatic sources" in Paris.
According to the sources, President Donald Trump's Middle East team will present its plan at an undisclosed date during an international conference to be held in one of the Arab capitals, most likely Cairo, attended by Israeli officials.
The report also said the plan calls for the Palestinians to give up their core demand of the "right of return" for Palestinian refugees and their descendants to reclaim their former homes inside Israeli territory.
While rumors of the purported plan continue to swirl in the Arab world, nothing has been officially confirmed. Still, Palestinian officials have called it the "slap of the century" that no Palestinian would ever accept. Several senior Palestinian Authority officials have wildly claimed that the U.S. administration, together with Israel, is looking to destroy the Palestinian cause and oust its current leadership.
The report also said the large settlement blocs would remain where they are while smaller ones would be transferred elsewhere.
The framework would also see the PA's security and administrative authorities bolstered in areas A and B - where there are only Palestinian populations - of the West Bank, the report added.
$40 billion in funds will be raised by the U.S. to help establish a Palestinian state. However, the sources stressed to the paper, the money is not intended to "buy" Palestinian compliance.
Responsibility for security in the Gaza Strip would be handled by the Egyptians, according to the report.
Since Trump officially recognized Jerusalem as Israel's capital in December, the PA has severed ties with the U.S., saying the country can no longer be an impartial broker of the peace process.
Also on Wednesday, PA Foreign Minister Riyad al-Malki said that European Union countries would act on behalf of the Palestinians to convince the Trump administration to amend the plan in their favor.
In a separate report Wednesday, Asharq al-Awsat quoted a senior Palestinian official as saying that the PA is locked in "confrontation" with the U.S. over its recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital.
Speaking during a gathering at the Palestinian embassy in Cairo, PA President Mahmoud Abbas' Advisor for International Affairs Nabil Shaath said: "President Mahmoud Abbas is in a position of full confrontation with the United States and Israel in the wake of the Israeli government's intransigence and the recent US administration's decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and transfer its embassy to it."
"We will not establish our state but on our national soil. No state in Gaza, no state without Gaza, no state without Jerusalem as the capital, not a capital in Jerusalem, but Jerusalem is the capital," Shaath added.
Shaath also predicted that within three years "the world ruled by the United States will end and a multilateral leadership will be established."
"We will be part of this new world," he added.
Jerusalem embassy will bring war, warns grand mufti - Bob Unruh - .....NOTE....GOD IS IN CONTROL, LET'S ALL REMEMBER THAT!!!!
State Department's plan names May 14 as day for facility to open in Israel's capital
A key Palestinian religious leader is warning that there will be war if the United States follows through on its announced plan to open an embassy in Jerusalem, which Washington now formally recognizes as Israel's capital.
The threat, according to Palestinian Media Watch, comes from Sheik Muhammad Hussein, the grand mufti of Jerusalem.
The official Palestinian Authority daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida reported Hussein, described as "preacher at the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque," "warned against the severity of the American administration's decision on transferring its embassy to occupied Jerusalem."
"He explained that the transfer of the American embassy to Jerusalem, if it is carried out, will not be an attack on the Palestinians alone, but rather a blatant attack on the Arabs and Muslims throughout the world ... .and that it will not serve peace and security in the region, but rather bring upon it disasters of wars, anarchy, and instability," the report said.
President Trump, last Dec. 6, formally recognized Jerusalem as Israel's capital after three previous administrations had signed waivers every six months delaying enactment of a law passed by Congress.
Last week, the State Department announced the new U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem will open May 14, 2018, the 70th anniversary of Israel's declaration of independence in 1948.
That day is known to Palestinians as the"Nakba," Arabic for "the catastrophe."
At the declaration in 1948, the combined forces of Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Iraq joined in an attempt to eradicate the state of Israel.
The report said the mufti "further implicitly encouraged Palestinians and Muslims to use violence and seek martyrdom."
"[The mufti] added that the residents of Jerusalem and all of the Palestinians, Arabs, and Muslims will not submit to this blatant attack, and will sacrifice all that is dear to them in order to confront the American stubbornness."
The PA Foreign Affairs Ministry described the announcement as "direct aggression." And the Palestinian National Council calls the U.S. plan a "blatant defiance toward the international, Arab, and Islamic will."
The Islamic leader also explained the decision "testifies to the insolence that those who are biased in favor of the occupation have reached, while they continue to do an injustice to our people and its holy sites and to blatantly harm the Palestinian cause in an attempt to eliminate it."
The report said the Muslim leader said the "arbitrary" behavior by the U.S. "will have severe consequences."
Exposing FISA darkness to the light - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com
On two separate occasions, Attorney General Jeff Sessions said that the Justice Department will investigate the secret dealings of Federal Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court. He told FOX News, "Let me tell you, every FISA warrant based on facts submitted to that court have to be accurate...That will be investigated and looked at, and we are not going to participate as a Department of Justice in providing anything less than a proper disclosure to the court before they issue a FISA warrant. Other than that, I'm not going to talk about the details of it, but I tell you, we're not going to let that happen." It will be interesting to see if Sessions can unravel the web of deceit and indict the true conspirators.
Undoubtedly, this investigation will pursue the link between the ex "president", the Clintons, the Democratic National Committee, and officials of the former White House in using the court to legitimize the false dossier paid for by the DNC and the Clinton campaign to undermine not only the Donald Trump candidacy, but also his presidency between the election and when he took office. According to a report as early as March 2017 by the UK Guardian, the previous administration was using the FISA court to obtain telephone and email records of law-abiding citizens without warrants. In January, it was revealed that the previous administration used the secret court in an apparent attempt to maintain control of the White House even after Trump was elected president.
In March 2017, President Trump accused the ex-"president" of wire-tapping his campaign, setting off a barrage of sanctimonious denials from Democrats and the ex "president." The ex-"president's" spokesman Kevin Lewis said, "A cardinal rule of the [sic] Administration was that no White House official ever interfered with any independent investigation led by the Department of Justice. As part of that practice, neither the [sic] "president" nor any White House official ever ordered surveillance on any US citizen. Any suggestion otherwise is simply false." Lewis lied. The White House had routinely ordered surveillance on US citizens, and used information to concoct a story to influence the elections.
The FISA court audited this spying and in June 2017 issued a 99 page opinion written by judge Rosemary Collyer, who stated that Fourth Amendment rights of privacy were violated by the ex "president's" administration as early as October 2011 and continued through 2016. This information collected on US citizens was shared with the FBI, CIA and National Counterterrorism Center in violation of regulations. Now we are finding that these abuses continued and interfered with the 2016 Presidential election. Proverbs 26:26 says, "[He] Whose hatred is covered by deceit, his wickedness shall be shown before the whole congregation." This wickedness is beginning to be revealed, and it is very dark and evil.
Hamas And Fatah Unite Against Trump Peace Plan - By Khaled Abu Toameh -
Hamas and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas's ruling Fatah faction are continuing to contest control of the Gaza Strip.
However, the two rival parties are prepared to lay aside their differences and work together to foil US President Donald Trump's plan for peace in the Middle East, the details of which remain unknown.
Thwarting Trump's peace plan has become a top priority for Hamas and Fatah. This is a mission that seems to be much more important than alleviating the suffering of the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, where 65% of families live under the poverty line.
Although the details of the Trump plan still have not been made public, Palestinians across the political spectrum say they will never accept any peace initiative presented by the Trump administration. Whatever the peace plan will be, the answer is No.
In the eyes of the Palestinian leaders, the US administration has shown unprecedented "hostility" towards the Palestinians.
The Palestinians are not only voicing strong opposition to Trump's plan, which is known as the "deal of the century." Hamas and Fatah are now saying that they will do their utmost to thwart it.
They say they see the plan as being as a "conspiracy aimed at eliminating the Palestinian cause and national rights." It is not clear why the Palestinians are opposed to a plan the details of which have not yet been made public.
The Palestinian rejection to the plan is evidently based on unconfirmed media reports and rumors.
In any event, the Palestinians know that no US peace plan would comply with their demands.
Abbas's Fatah is demanding 100% of the territories Israel secured in 1967, namely the West Bank, East Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip.
Hamas, for its part, is demanding 100% of everything, from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea. As Hamas leaders repeatedly affirm, the goal is to "liberate all of Palestine," meaning all of Israel.
The Palestinians have not presented precisely how they intend to foil Trump's plan, if and when it is made public. At the very least, street protests and strong condemnations of the US, Israel and any Arab country that accepts the peace plan can be expected.
Hamas and Fatah, however, are still quarreling over the "reconciliation" agreement they signed in Cairo in November 2017.
According to Hamas, the agreement has failed because of Abbas's refusal to lift the sanctions he imposed on the Gaza Strip last year.
The sanctions include the forced retirement of thousands of Palestinian Authority civil servants and the suspension of social assistance to hundreds of families. In addition, Abbas has refused to pay Israel for electricity and fuel supplies to the Gaza Strip.
Turning the tables, however, Abbas and his government hold Hamas responsible for hindering the implementation of the "reconciliation" accord, which was achieved under the auspices of Egypt.
Hamas's refusal to disarm and cede military and political control of the Gaza Strip is the main obstacle threatening to sabotage the agreement, they charge.
Evidently, Hamas and Fatah care more about their wrangling for power than about the well-being of their people in the Gaza Strip.
The arm-twisting between the two rival parties is spurring intense suffering in the Gaza Strip, where a number of hospitals have been forced to close down as a result of severe shortage in medicine and generator fuel.
While Fatah and Hamas are continuing to hurl abuses at each other, however, they see eye to eye on the issue of Trump's "deal of the century."
Hamas and Fatah are willing to support each other and join forces in the war on the US administration's plan.
Former Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal has gone so far as to praise Abbas for his staunch opposition to the "deal of the century." The former Hamas leader said that his movement would even support Abbas in a standoff with the US administration.
In statements published on February 17, Mashaal said that Abbas was "the strongest party that is obstructing" Trump's plan. The Palestinians, Mashaal added, will be the only ones to stand against the plan.
Mashaal said that he was even prepared to forgive Abbas for punishing the Palestinians of the Gaza Strip -- all for the sake of thwarting the US peace plan.
"In spite of the measures he's imposing against the Gaza Strip and Hamas, the best solution would be to support Abbas in his opposition to the plan," he said. "Trump's 'deal of the century' won't pass as long as the Palestinians categorically reject it."
Mashaal's remarks echo those of Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and other radical Palestinian groups that have also emphasized that Trump's peace plan "won't pass." His remarks are also compatible with those made by Abbas and Fatah, who in the past few weeks have used every platform to express their rejection of the plan.
Take, for example, a recent statement issued by Fatah regarding the plan:
"Without Palestinian compliance, the 'deal of the century' won't pass. The Palestinians reject it. They (the Trump administration) won't find one Arab who will agree to betray Jerusalem and the Palestinian people."
In recent weeks, Abbas himself has also come out against Trump's plan - a move that has clearly earned him the backing of the former Hamas leader. Abbas says that he sees the plan as an attempt by the US administration to "impose dictates" on the Palestinians.
"We don't take instructions from anyone," Abbas was quoted as saying. " We have said 'no' to Trump and we won't accept his plan. We say 'no' and 1,000'no-s' when it comes to our fate, cause and people. We don't accept the US as a broker between us and Israel."
The Palestinian patients in the Gaza Strip who are dying for lack of proper medical treatment care little about Trump -- or about any peace plan. Neither do the thousands of employees who have been deprived of their salaries or the students who are unable to leave the Gaza Strip because of the continued closure (by Egypt) of the Rafah border crossing. For them, this is a battle of survival.
Hamas and Fatah leaders, meanwhile, are engaged in a rather different battle of survival: that of their leaders to retain their power.
They are prepared to continue fighting each other to the last Palestinian. It may be true that the Egyptians, in the "reconciliation" their brokered, failed to achieve Palestinian unity. The Trump administration has apparently succeeded where the Egyptians failed: in uniting Hamas and Fatah against an initiative for peace.
White House security clearance scandal - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com
The mainstream media has written many stories about President Trump's aides whose security clearances have been revoked. The stories range from 30 people to 130, implying some sort of dastardly scheme plotting to undermine America. But this deserves more scrutiny than the mainstream media is giving it. According to a January 2016 Government Executive story, the ex "president" altered the guidelines to relax security clearance restrictions to broaden the pool of government employees who wouldn't otherwise get a security clearance. This allowed the ex "president" to essentially populate the government with his own appointees at a high risk to the nation. Where was the media then?
In July 2015, Judicial Watch released the results of an investigation into the "president's" most trusted advisor, Valerie Jarrett. The FBI files obtained by JW reveal that Jarrett was raised by devout communists on both sides of her family. Jarrett's father, maternal grandfather, and father-in-law were all "hardcore communists under investigation by the US government." JW reported the Iranian-born Jarrett continued in her family tradition with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, close associations with Communist Party member Frank Marshall Davis (the "president's" mentor), association with convicted Chicago real estate felon (also the "president's" fundraiser) Antoin "Tony" Rezko, and played a major role in covering up former Attorney General Eric Holder's "fast and furious" gun running operation to Mexican drug lords.
Moreover, in an April 15, 2013 report, international policy think tank Gatestone Institute wrote that the "president", "...proactively chose to reach out to the [Muslim] Brotherhood, its affiliates, and supporters for advice, training and even administration appointments... The infiltration of individuals...with such close Muslim Brotherhood identifications, to positions of influence at the highest levels of US policymaking must be considered, at a minimum, a contributing factor." Also recall, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's right hand woman Huma Abedin. Abedin's brother, mother, and deceased father were all confirmed to have leadership ties to the MB.
The MB strategic plan for North America, submitted as evidence in the 2008 Holy Land Foundation trial, called for Islamic colonization of America to carry out a grand "civilization jihadist" mission dedicated to "eliminating and destroying" America from within. In 2014, the White House admitted that it was meeting with representatives of the MB, and sponsoring meetings at the National Security Council with the MB. There were many documented instances where the ex "president" appointed communists and radical Islamists to high positions in the US government. How did they get security clearances? A relaxation of the rules by the ex "president." But there were no mainstream media reports of such. Jesus said in Matthew 24:4, "Take heed that no man deceives you." The mainstream media is deceiving and being deceived.
