To be an American Christian, you have to be tough. You have to have moral tenacity-never backing down from the belief that the Messiah is the way, the truth and the life. It is foundational to your faith. It must remain as the hub of your worldview no matter how difficult things become. There are dark days ahead for this country. The pummeling Christian values take in the news media and by certain groups of ideological bigots espousing political intolerance is only going to get worse. The flames of visceral against all things of the God of the Bible are a burning infernal that will continue to burn. This is the result of radical leftists being emboldened by election victories in highly populated New York and California.

 

Likely House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) told volunteers at a recent gathering, "I don't mind when they say things about me like I'm a liberal. I like that. But when they say San Francisco liberal, as if to make it sound like it's something negative, them's fightin' words. Don't attack my city. Don't attack my city. But, San Francisco values, that's what we're about. The city of Saint Francis, the city whose anthem is the song of Saint Francis, make us an instrument of thy peace." St. Francis may have rolled over in his grave at those words. While there are many God-fearing people in San Francisco, the liberal values Pelosi embraces include radical immoral lifestyles, lawlessness, homelessness, high taxes, abortion, defecating in the streets and other extraordinary unseemliness.

 

Recent exit polls indicate that those who attend religious services are more likely to support Republicans over Democrats. Those who do not attend religious services are more likely to support Democrats over Republicans. While there is much to disagree with both political parties, the fact is that the leadership and platform of the Democratic Party support ideals that are counter to the Holy Scriptures, ranging from lawlessness to abortion to Biblically-immoral lifestyles to enemies of Jews and Christians. Republican leadership at least pays lip service to, and in many cases, supports Biblical values. A CNN poll, for example, indicated that 68% of those who never attend church services voted Democratic. An AP VoteCast poll affirmed the CNN results, and indicated that 61% of those who attend church at least once a week voted Republican.

 

Breitbart News reports that "the most recent voter data confirms polls following previous elections showing that the more religious a voter, the more likely they will support a Republican candidate, while the less religious will overwhelmingly tend to vote Democrat." This divide is deep because light has no fellowship with darkness. But do not despair. Be tenacious as a prophetic people. 2 Timothy 1:7 says, "For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." Christ warned that because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. Be encouraged no matter the visceral and hate. Be that chosen generation, that royal priesthood, that holy nation, that people for his own; that you should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

There were no real big surprises in last week's midterm election. As generally predicted, the Democrats won control of the House, and Republicans kept control of the Senate. There were four key battles that Republicans won despite massive support from the liberal media.

 

Republican Iowa Rep. Steve King, who is accused of having strident anti-immigrant rhetoric, secured a ninth term in Congress, beating Democratic opponent J.D. Scholten.

 

Texas Senate incumbent Ted Cruz defeated opponent Beto O'Rourke, which was one of the most talked about races this midterm election. Beto raised more than $38 million in the third quarter, three times the amount Cruz raised in that same period, and about $100 million overall. Much of that money came from Hollywood donors who hoped to turn Beto into the next JFK-type superstar.

 

Andrew Gillum, whose campaign drew the attention of the likes of Barack Obama who campaigned with him in the final days, was looking to be the first black governor in the history of Florida. Gillum, the mayor of Tallahassee, was surrounded by a cloud of corruption scandals. Leftist Polls released a day before the election showed him with a seven point lead, but in reality he lost by 2 points.

 

The press did its best to avert the backlash against those who voted against Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Yet Democratic Senators Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota, Indiana's Joe Donnelly, Claire McCaskill of Missouri and Florida's Bill Nelson all suffered defeat. "Every Dem Senator in a competitive race who voted against Kavanaugh lost," tweeted Tom Bevan, Co-founder of RealClearPolitics.

 

The Democrats had their best showing at the polls by pushing the diversity agenda. If you are part of some sub-group, there is a place for you in their party. Here are some headlines that show how the left is moving us away from traditional Christian values:

 

• First Openly Gay Person Elected Governor: Colorado
• Native American Lesbian Wins House Seat
• Rashida Tlaib, First Muslim Congresswoman
• Florida to Restore Ex-felon Voting Rights
• 3 States Legalize Marijuana for Recreational or Medical Use

 

The loss of the House will mean that the speaker of the House is likely to be Nancy Pelosi. The 78-year-old Democrat from San Francisco, California, who was House Speaker from 2007 to 2011.

 

Throughout the 2018 midterms, Republicans tried to connect Democratic candidates to Pelosi - they've run more than 250 anti-Pelosi TV ads in some 75 House districts during the last months of the campaign. Some candidates saw the need to repudiate Pelosi, but most didn't even respond to the ads.

 

It is just amazing that she has been to more gay parades than I've had birthdays, and people in Red states don't care that they are voting for someone who will have Pelosi as their leader. Few people care about moral issues these days. So, as long as they have job growth and strong health care, they don't mind if America turns into Sodom and Gomorrah.

 

Another fallout from the Democrats having won control of the House of Representatives: the Trump administration can expect to be hit by a wave of investigations and subpoena requests from Capitol Hill. There are dozens of House committees and subcommittees, and each no doubt has its own to-do list. Three of the worst people in politics will likely head powerful offices:

 

• The Oversight Committee may come under the chairmanship of Elijah Cummings.
• The House Intelligence Committee could be led by Adam Schiff.
• The House Financial Services Committee could be headed by Maxine Waters.

 

The person I dread most gaining power is Maxine Waters. Nancy Pelosi has something wrong with her brain, so she can do little damage under her own power. Waters has a tenacity that comes from the pit of hell. She has called for the impeachment of Trump from the day he stepped into office. Waters is dumb and old, but she is pure evil.

 

"Last August, Waters moved unsuccessfully to subpoena Deutsche Bank AG for records concerning 'internal reviews of the personal accounts of the President and his family,' as well as more information about fees levied against the bank concerning lax money-laundering detection policies that could have allowed Russian operatives to funnel cash without a paper trail," Fox News reported.

 

Overall, I think the 2018 election perfectly fits the Bible's description of the last days. Because we are so near to the tribulation hour, everything is naturally doomed to relentlessly get "worse and worse" as deception permeates society. We Christians have hope that Jesus will soon rescue us from this mess.

The elections in Florida, Arizona and other places across the country are drawing attention because of massive voter fraud in Democratic Party-controlled areas. Every election in recent memory has had such problems. And they most always point to the Democratic Party doing something to make sure someone's vote doesn't count. Yet this is the party that continuously fights updating voter rolls because "voters will be disenfranchised." Did it ever occur to anyone that once again, these people are accusing those who wish to uphold justice of doing the very thing the accusers have been successfully doing for years? Justice is in short supply when it comes to fair elections. The history of this is incredible.

 

In looking at the 2012 Presidential Election maps of who voted and where, small pockets of votes carried the election. More amazing to me, as a seasoned political campaign veteran, that in certain precincts, even counties, of the thousands who voted, the Occupant of the Oval Office's challenger received less than .2% of the vote. This is incredible and, quite frankly, not only unbelievable, but against all odds, nearly impossible. According to news reports, one Ohio county reported the "president" won 108 % of the registered voters. Now that is impossible. Members of our military who are serving overseas did not get to vote because military ballots were denied active-duty servicemen and women.

 

In 2014, in New Mexico, a person went in to vote early and found out that he had already voted. The election officials confirmed that the person who voted first was not the person who was registered to vote. They allowed the registered person to vote, but explained there was no way to take back the vote of the illegal voter because it anonymously was recorded in the system. In 2016, there were videos showing voter machines changing votes from Republican to Democrat, and reports of dead people, illegals, and felons voting. Hillary Clinton went to court to delay Electoral College certification in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin to prevent those votes from counting so she could win the election.

 

This year, the Texas Democratic Party mailed voter registration applications to noncitizens that pre-printed "Yes" to the answers to questions "Are you a United States Citizen?" and "Will you be 18 years of age on or before election day?"Now we have yet another mess in Florida where the same person, Democrat Brenda Snipes, who manipulated votes in the 2012 elections is at it again. Whenever someone speaks of votes being stolen, the progressives laugh and roll their eyes about these charges, dismissing them as wild conspiracy theories. Psalm 101:7 says, "He that works deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that tells lies shall not tarry in my sight." Deceiving the electorate has become big business. It's time to say "Not in my house."

The news media and progressives can't get over this quote made by President Trump October 22 at a campaign rally: "You know, they have a word, it sort of became old-fashioned. It's called a nationalist. And I say, 'Really? We're not supposed to use that word. You know what I am? I'm a nationalist. OK? I'm a nationalist." The news media and progressives see this quote as confirmation that Trump is a Nazi racist bigot white supremacist because they equate Nationalism with Hitler-era Germany Nazism. They use it as evidence of why Trump and his supporters are against open borders and noncitizen voting. It is their excuse for supporting anti-fascist groups like Antifa when violence occurs. But it's all part of a greater plan.

 

Nationalism is not defined as a fascist movement. Merriam Webster defines Nationalism as "loyalty and devotion to a nation, especially: a sense of national consciousness exalting one nation above all others and placing primary emphasis on promotion of its culture and interests opposed to those of other nations or supranational groups." Britannica defines Nationalism as "ideology based on the premise that the individual's loyalty and devotion to the nation-state surpass other individual or group interests."Dictionary.com states Nationalism is "the policy or doctrine of asserting the interests of one's own nation viewed as separate from the interests of other nations or the common interests of all nations."

 

Nationalism is the opposite of Globalism. Globalism is defined by several sources as "the attitude or policy of placing the interests of the entire world above those of individual nations." Those who may want to rule the world are certainly globalists, although they may approach their narrative with esoteric ideals of global equality of people and nations. These would include socialists, communists, fascists, and even anarchists. All of these groups have to pay lip service to pitting the less fortunate against others to attract enough special interest followers. They are experts at class warfare and wheedling their way into absolute power by convincing people they are for freedom and equality when in reality they are masters of control and class structure.

 

Making America Great Again is really about putting America's and Americans' interests above those of other nations. Those who are against this ideal are working to make America part of a globalist system where Americans' wealth is redistributed in the name of fairness and equality. As Christians, we are citizens of the nation wherein we live AND of the kingdom of God. Someday, God's creation will sit beneath the rule of its creator and be as is written in Isaiah 2:4, "nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more." Until then, evil men and seducers will try to usurp God by plotting to rule the world their own way ultimately leading to the global Beast government of the end times. Let us pray that the ideal of Americanism will be among those that stand in the gap on behalf of God's people.
