Experts on both sides of the political spectrum have been warning thatit is very likely that we will not know the winner of the presidential election until well after November 3rd, and everyone pretty much agrees that the period of uncertainly that we will be forced to endure will not be good for our nation. Those of us thatare old enough clearly remember the pain that the election of 2000 caused. The outcome hinged on the results from the state of Florida, and the endless recounts were finally brought to a conclusion after 36 very stressful days with George W. Bush up by just537 votes. Unfortunately, some are saying that we are potentially facing "the 2000 election on steroids" because vote counting will be going on in multiple swing states long after election night is over. The big reason why this election is going to be so different from previous elections is because so many Americans are going to be voting by mail. According to one recentsurvey, a whopping 37 percent of all voters plan to cast their votes by mail this time around... Thirty-seven percent of registered voters said they are likely to vote by mail in the November election, by receiving a mailed ballot and either mailing it back or returningit in person, according to a new survey released Tuesday by the Democracy Fund + UCLA Nationscape project. Other estimates put the number as high as 40 percent, and it could go even higher than that because some states are promoting mail-in voting extremely aggressively. In fact, as I detailed yesterday, one of my readers told me that he and his wife "have received three requests each for mail in ballots" over the past five weeks. We are also being told that Democrats are far more likely to vote by mail than Republicans are. According to the same survey that I quoted above, supporters of Biden aremore than twice as likely to vote by mail than Trump supporters are... Among them, 48% of voters who plan to vote for Democratic presumptive nominee Joe Biden said they are likely to vote by mail, according to the survey. That's more than twicethe 23% of voters backing President Donald Trump who said they are likely to vote by mail. It takes a lot of time to open and count ballots that have been mailed in. If that work could be done in advance, that wouldn't be that much of a problem. Unfortunately, there are 14 states where it is prohibited by law to count mail-in ballots before Election Day, and that includes some of our most important swing states... Tens of millions of Americans will try to vote by mail because of the COVID-19 pandemic. But officials in 14 states are prohibited from processing mail-in ballots untilElection Day; counting them could take days or weeks. Those states include Pennsylvania and Michigan, battlegrounds that could decide the election. It should deeply alarm all of us to hear that it "could take days or weeks" for some of these states to finally count every single ballot. And that is just the first count. I am not even talking about any potential recounts. At this point, many Democrats are warning of a possible "red mirage" on the night of the election. Many of them believe that it will look like President Trump is winningon election night, but that Joe Biden will ultimately win once all of the mail-in votes are finally counted. As evidence, they point to the fact that there has been a "blue shift" in all national elections going back to 2004... Since 2004, mail-in ballots have been disproportionately Democratic, a phenomenon known as the "blue shift." So, barring a landslide, we could see a "red mirage" on Nov. 3, an election-night count of in-person votes that suggests that Trump has won - even though millions of votesfor Biden are waiting to be tabulated. Personally, I do believe that it is very likely that President Trump will be leading on the night of the election, but what is really going to matter is what happens duringthe days that follow. If a Trump lead evaporates and Biden is eventually declared the winner, there will be widespread allegations that the election was stolen, and that could cause tremendousexplosions of anger. And the big tech companies are already preparing for post-election chaos. In fact, Facebook has openly announced that they will purposely "restrict the circulation of content"in order to try to control civil unrest... Facebook announced this week that it may restrict certain aspects of its platform following November's general election as part of a larger effort to limit social unrest.A spokesperson for Facebook suggested that executives including Sheryl Sandberg and Mark Zuckerberg may censor specific information if they believe it is likely to heighten political tensions following the election. According to a report by the Financial Times, Facebook announced this week that it will "restrict the circulation of content" following November's election to curb violenceand social unrest. The announcement follows efforts by Facebook to address concerns from those who have alleged that the platform aids in voter suppression and promotes election-misinformation. What is this country going to look like if it takes weeks or even months to officially declare a winner? No matter who ends up winning, I believe that the process is so flawed that it is going to tear the country apart. And no matter what the final result is, a large percentage of the population will never accept the outcome as being legitimate. This is already one of the most difficult chapters in U.S. history, and a bitterly contested election result will only make things even worse. At this point, even the mainstream media is admitting that we are heading into "wild" times. The following comes from CNN... Ask anyone about the next six weeks and they will likely give you some version of this as a response: Whoa boy. It is going to be wild. Which it is! The last 42 days of a presidential election are always filled with unpredictable storylines, big moments and, more than anything, uncertainty. Just about the only way that we can avoid the type of scenario that I have described is if there is an overwhelming landslide on election night. Wouldn't that be nice if that actually happened? It would be wonderful if one of the candidates conceded on November 3rd or November 4th and we could avoid weeks or even months of endless national strife, but I don't thinkthat is going to happen. Instead, I believe that both sides are going to fight to the bitter end, and the end will definitely be very bitter indeed. FBI warns of election day misinformation, LOL - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com The same agency that worked with the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary Clinton Campaign to undermine the 2016 election results came out with a "public service"warning, "to raise awareness of the potential threat posed by attempts to spread disinformation regarding the results of the 2020 elections." Yes, this is not a joke. The FBI jointly with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency warned the Americanpublic September 22 that "The FBI and CISA urge the American public to critically evaluate the sources of the information they consume and to seek out reliable and verified information from trusted sources, such as state and local election officials." The joint release said, "Foreign actors and cybercriminals could create new websites, change existing websites, and create or share corresponding social media content tospread false information in an attempt to discredit the electoral process and undermine confidence in U.S. democratic institutions." In addition, the FBI and CISA say that the use of mail-in ballots will delay official results of the election and open thedoor for people to undermine confidence in the election and advises to "Seek out information from trustworthy sources, such as state and local election officials; verify who produced the content; and consider their intent." NOTE: Delaying the election resultsin of itself opens the door to tampering with the ballots. The release said, "The increased use of mail-in ballots due to COVID-19 protocols could leave officials with incomplete results on election night. Foreign actors and cybercriminalscould exploit the time required to certify and announce elections' results by disseminating disinformation that includes reports of voter suppression, cyberattacks targeting election infrastructure, voter or ballot fraud, and other problems intended to convincethe public of the elections' illegitimacy." The release reiterated: "The FBI and CISA urge the American public to critically evaluate the sources of the information they consume and to seek out reliable and verified information from trusted sources." Let us remember that it was the FBI in concert with the Democratic Party and the Clinton campaign that paid for a fake dossier used to get a FISA Court warrant to spy onthe Trump Campaign. The ex "president," his Attorney General, Justice Department, the FBI, and the Clintons were all working schemes at the same time to derail Trump before he even got started. FBI agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page exchanged an estimated 50,000texts in efforts to undermine President Trump. Strzok and Page emerged as part of a secret society against Trump housed within the FBI. And now the FBI is coming out saying beware of criminals trying to undermine the presidential election. Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg had died at the age of 87. That her death took place as Jews around the world had begun to observe (or were about to observe) Rosh HaShanah, the traditional Jewish New Year, was not lost on many Jewishcommentators. (Heightening things even more was the fact that Rosh HaShanah this year began on the Sabbath.) Upon hearing the news of her passing, I tweeted, "The timing of the passing of Justice Ginsburg (immediately before the beginning of the Jewish New Year, the biblical dayof the sounding of the shofar) strikes me as an overwhelmingly sobering, significant event. May God's kingdom be advanced & may He comfort the grieving family." Larger Than Life Some Jews who had already begun reciting the evening prayers were repeating the words of what is called the Mourner's Kaddish, a prayer of praise to God recited in memoryof the dead, when news of Ginsberg's death began to spread. An event that was already of momentous proportions - the passing of this liberal warrior, feminist pioneer, and cultural icon -- now felt even more momentous. Others have written of Justice Ginsburg's judicial legacy. And in the days ahead, there will be countless articles commemorating her life and, no doubt, a slew of biographiesto follow. She was even the subject of two recent movies, RBG and On the Basis of Sex. More remarkably still for a Supreme Court justice, she was nicknamed "The Notorious RBG" (in the spirit of the late rapper known as "The Notorious B.I.G.") Such was the reputation and impact of this little Jewish woman who was, quite literally, larger than life. And, given the fact that she was a tenacious fighter, she musthave battled with all her might to hold on through the November elections, not wanting to give President Trump the privilege of picking her replacement. As passed on through her granddaughter, she said before dying, "my most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new president is installed." Now she is gone, and Trump has made plain his desire to nominate her replacement, with the frontrunner being Amy Coney Barrett, herself just 48 years old. In fact, accordingto an article published back in March, 2019, when Trump was considering the replacement for Anthony Kennedy, he allegedly said of Barrett, "I'm saving her for Ginsburg." Now the Battle for Life Given that Barrett is as staunchly pro-life as Ginsburg was "pro-choice," the ensuing battle in Washington could be more intense than anything we have previously seen. The two-word, headline story (with accompanying graphic) on Saturday's Huffington Post (September 19) said it all: "Apocalypse Now," followed by a picture of a hanger (thus,what women will be reduced to using for abortions should Trump get a replacement on the Court). What all this means is that the intense shaking of 2020 is about to switch into yet another gear, an even more intense gear, if that is imaginable. And we can expect itto continue to intensify in the weeks ahead. The Sabbath of Repentance and Return Right now, on the traditional Jewish calendar, we are in the first of the "Days of Awe," the 10-day period between Rosh HaShanah (the biblical holy day of Trumpets) andYom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. This period of introspection and repentance begins with the blowing of the shofar -- Ginsburg passed away just hours after the shofar blast was sounded in Israel -- as Jewish people, especially religious Jews, prepare theirhearts before God the Judge. As explained by Moses Maimonides in the 12th century, the shofar blast says, "Wake up from your sleep, you sleepers! Arise from your slumber, you slumberers! Examine yourdeeds! Return to God! Remember your creator! Those of you who forget the truth in the futilities of the times and spend all year in vanity and emptiness, look into your soul, improve your ways and your deeds. Yet this is not only a time of prayer and repentance in the Jewish community. A significant number of Christians, especially evangelicals, have set aside these same 10 daysfor prayer and repentance, highlighted by two major events scheduled for Washington, D.C. this coming Saturday, September 26. (These are the Franklin Graham Prayer March and The Return; I'm scheduled to participate in the latter event.) Significantly, this coming Saturday, the 26th, is considered the holiest Sabbath on the Jewish calendar, called "Shabbat Shuvah," meaning the Sabbath of repentance and return,the Sabbath falling between Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur. And as these Christians gather to pray and cry out to God, the focus will not be on praying for a particular political candidate but rather on praying for God's mercy on America and for our corporaterepentance. The sudden and unexpected passing of Justice Ginsburg drills home to us all the more the reality of death, when we will stand before the Judge and give account for our lives.It also drives home the implications of the coming elections, with many already focused on the courts. How much more now! May the Lord get the attention of the nation, and may we turn to Him with all our hearts and all our souls. Now then, "advice and consent of the Senate" is what we will see yet another war of words between the news media, Democrats and Republicans. It has begun. And it is vicious. Leftist filmmaker Michael Moore has called for protests in the streets as a run up to "throwing Trump out of office." He also suggested that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA)shut down the government until after the election. This is the rhetoric that appeals to those ignorant people who support the leftist ideals of those like Moore and his buddies in Congress. Pelosi has nothing to do with Supreme Court Justice selection. Pelosi,however, is not beyond trying to block the appointment. She told ABC's "This Week" that she has arrows in her quiver that she was not going to discuss just yet, but many believe that Pelosi will start another round of impeachment hearings against Trump ifhe presses forward on the nominee. Socialist congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) urged people to use this moment to become "radicalized" against a president that is "authoritarian and has no regardfor life." Then there was mentally-failing Democratic candidate for President Joe Biden saying Trump's plan was an "abuse of power" and begged senators to "do their constitutional duty" by not approving any justice before the election. This plea was made inthe same speech where he said that by the end of his talk, over 200 million people will have died of COVID 19. What? These are shrill and untruthful comments of revolution playing out in our daily lives. It seemed as if there were five or six of them. I should have kept them for proof, but I threw them away. They weremail-in ballots. I was so disgusted with the thought that the government was encouraging people to stay at home and vote by mail, that I missed the point: We seemed to have received more ballots than we have voters in our household. Since then, I have heardfirst hand stories from friends, neighbors and acquaintances that they received several more mail-in ballots than the number of voters in their households. In fact, this is common among people who I know and trust would not lie about it. So what gives? We know that Democratic Party oppression of the vote was so big after the Civil War that there were local and state laws prohibiting black people from voting. When finally, President UlyssesGrant stepped in and all but eliminated the Ku Klux Klan in the south-which included Democratic Party officeholders, doctors, lawyers, even clergy-blacks were able to safely vote again for a time. Then the Black Codes and Jim Crow Laws that were passed bydemocrats once again suppressed the vote all the way into the 1960s. Somewhere along the way, the Democratic Party decided that it would make an issue of suppressing the vote and blame it on the Republicans every time they tried to update the voter rolls. The result is that myriads of dead people get to vote. People who move to other locations get to vote in their former precincts. Those who are registered to vote, but don't vote, get to vote-someoneelse votes for them. Democrats have fought tooth and nail even the simplest of updating the voter rolls-removing the dead from voter rolls. What do you think is going to happen when someone that received three mail in ballots, votes three times and the electionclerk doesn't "catch" it? The same thing that happens when a dead person votes. These crooks know how to work the system. If someone hasn't voted by a certain time, the local party people know it. And they send someone else in their place. What made our system of voting so unique and effective was that there was one day to vote. If you couldn't vote on that day, you got an absentee ballot. This whole idea of mass mail in ballots,and how the authorities will verify the votes, and how long it will take them after the election, is a slippery slope to tyranny. If people can be encouraged to protest and riot in close quarters without concern for COVID 19, then people can go to their pollingplace and cast their votes in a safe and orderly manner. It turns out that despite a massive effort put into educatingAmericans about the mass murder of European Jewry by the German Nazis and their collaborators, a sizable percentage of millennials (defined as those aged 18 to 39) know little or nothing about it or actually believe anti-Semitic canards about this atrocitybeing the fault of the Jews. Many Jews are understandably expressing dismay about those numbers and calling for greater efforts to be made to increase and improve Holocaust education. But it's likelythat many of them are the same people who are dismissing President Donald Trump's concerns about the way the teaching of American history is being distorted or trashed by those peddling false narratives about the country being irredeemably racist. Trump's concerns, stated in a Constitution Day speech given last week in which he vowed to create a commission to combat this trend, were widely dismissed as either electioneeringor racist. Anything a president says while running for re-election can be regarded as political. Yet his attempt to call attention to the importance of the ongoing fight over American history didn't seem to resonate among those who are the first to decry the implicationsof the lack of historical knowledge about the Holocaust. The fact that 15 percent of millennials think that Jews caused the Holocaust, 41 percent agreed with the claim that people talk about it "too much," and 12 percent thinkthat it was either a myth or exaggerated is shocking. It's all the more troubling since those polled grew up in an era when Holocaust education has proliferated and is mandatory in many states. Indeed, the study, which was sponsored by the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany, showed that there was no correlation between living in states where Holocausteducation is mandatory and having a firm grasp of the history. The problem isn't just a function of requiring schools to teach about this crime, but that what is being taught isn't necessarily helping to correct the situation, let alonedealing with a rising tide of anti-Semitism. As scholar Ruth Wisse writes in National Affairs, instead of merely doubling down on curricula that may be hurting as much as they are helping, we need to rethink Holocaust-education programs that were flawed fromthe start. Citing the work of the great historian Lucy Dawidowicz, Wisse astutely points out that programs that attempt to enlist the Holocaust in a generic liberal fight against hatemisidentify the causes of the Shoah and "conceals rather than confronts anti-Jewish aggression." The lesson here is not just the importance of teaching history, but the danger from the spread of poorly conceived or misleading efforts to teach about it. And that is exactlywhy Trump's call to arms to defend American history against radical revisionists should be supported regardless of what you think about him. The real scandal about Trump's desire to found a "1776 Commission" to combat the growing influence of curricula based on The New York Times' fraudulent "1619 Project" isn'this alleged politicization of the subject. It's that so many otherwise responsible sources continue to treat the Pulitzer Prize-winning collection published by the Times as credible rather than a shameless exercise in propaganda. Critiques of the "1619 Project" by even liberal anti-Trump historians have pointed out that its basic thesis about racism being the primary characteristic of all of Americanhistory is based in falsehoods and distortions. The notion that the purpose of the American Revolution was solely to defend slavery is as big a lie as is the collection's attempts to deny that the arc of the nation's history is a long march towards the expansionof freedom and its defense of liberty around the globe. That was bad enough, though recently it came out that the Times has attempted to erase some of these fraudulent claims while still not acknowledging its egregious errors.This is all the more scandalous because the paper is peddling its mendacious account of history to school districts around the country, which are eagerly snapping it up so as to show their support for critical race theory and the Black Lives Matter movement. For many people, Trump is such a flawed messenger that he discredits any cause he takes up. Still, that is no excuse for the widespread willingness to ignore or scoff athis effort to push back against the growing influence of the "1619 Project." It is, as its principal author Hannah Nikole-Jones has proudly boasted in a since-deleted tweet, the inspiration for the "mostly peaceful" BLM demonstrations that have nonethelessled to hundreds of violent riots and acts of intimidation and violence in hundreds of American cities. Like the BLM movement, which is both an anodyne expression of opposition to racism, and also a Marxist and intersectional attack on liberal democracy, the falsificationof history put forth by the "1619 Project" is a dangerous revisionist effort. It undermines education not only about America's past, but about the liberal values of free speech that leftist "cancel culture" inextricably tied to the BLM movement isdetermined to extinguish. Instead of an effort to create an authoritarian "state history" curriculum, Trump's championing of a patriotic response is a necessary antidote to an illiberal trend being fostered by both BLM and the associated "anti-racism" trainingprograms that are actually rooted in the same assumptions that promote racism. Jews know all too well the cost of the ignorance of history and the promulgation of false historical narratives that undermine the liberal values essential to our security.That's why the Jewish community should support efforts to oppose the "1619 Project." First the pandemic, which divided us, economically devastated us, and has killed nearly 200,000 of us. Then the racial unrest, erupting at the deaths of more Black Americansat the hands of police: George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Rayshard Brooks, Daniel Prude. Now the extreme weather. For only the second time in history, the National Hurricane Center has moved into the Greek alphabet for storm names. This season's wildfires arebigger, deadlier and more frequent than in years past. In the West, people can't breathe. And now a member of the U.S. Supreme Court has died with about a month and a half to go until we get to election day. Since the pandemic first started, more than 60 million Americans have filed new claims for unemployment benefits, and that is a threshold that has never been crossed beforein all of our history. And we have also seen businesses shut down at a pace that is hard to fully grasp. If you can believe it, more than 160,000 businesses listed on Yelp say "that they haveclosed"... Yelp on Wednesday released its latest Economic Impact Report, revealing business closures across the U.S. are increasing as a result of the coronavirus pandemic's economictoll. As of Aug, 31, 163,735 businesses have indicated on Yelp that they have closed. That's down from the 180,000 that closed at the very beginning of the pandemic. However,it actually shows a 23% increase in the number of closures since mid-July. I was most alarmed by that last sentence. Things were supposed to be getting a lot better by now, but instead we have seen "a 23% increase in the number of closures since mid-July". That is not good. And the percentage of businesses on Yelp that are indicating that their closures are "permanent" just keeps rising... In addition to monitoring closed businesses, Yelp also takes into account the businesses whose closures have become permanent. That number has steadily increased throughoutthe past six months, now reaching 97,966, representing 60% of closed businesses that won't be reopening. So what this means is that none of us should be expecting a return to what we considered to be "normal" prior to 2020. In fact, it is likely that we will see large numbers of businesses continue to fail in the months ahead. According to Fox Business, a whopping 40 percent of all U.S. restaurants"could go under within the next six months"... At least 40% of restaurant operators struggling to stay afloat during the coronavirus pandemic believe their businesses could go under within the next six months if thereis no additional stimulus package from the federal government, according to a new survey by the National Restaurant Association. With one in every six restaurants closed permanently or for the "long term," the industry is on track to lose $240 billion in sales by the end of the year, according tothe National Restaurant Association's findings on the impact COVID-19 has on the restaurant business. And just about every other industry is looking for government help as well. Of course most average citizens also want another round of "stimulus checks" from the federal government, and we are being told that there is a really good chance that "theeconomy backslides" if that does not happen... We have already stolen several trillion dollars from future generations of Americans so far this year to fund "stimulus packages", and so a lot of people figure that itprobably wouldn't make that much of a difference if we stole several trillion more to fund another one. And the Federal Reserve has been flooding the financial system with so much new money that it makes everything that they have ever done in the past look completely insignificant. In the process, our authorities are systematically destroying the reserve currency that the entire globe depends upon, but at this point very few people seem to care. Most of us just want to cling to the belief that someday we will wake up and everything will have returned to normal. At the same time, he's determined to pull out of that region to an extent that no other leader has attempted since much earlier days when isolationism ruled within American diplomatic spheres of influence. Trump doing so, as a matter of fact, constitutes one of the reasons the so-called Deep State opposes his every move. Its role and influence in Africa is still far from mapped and known but the article impliesit has recruited figures in the CAR and elsewhere. The Black community is angry that justice wasn't done. The Black Lives Matter organization and Antifa protestors are using the occasion to create violence. Two Louisville police officers were shot. Fires have been started. Rioters have attackedpolice who were trying to put out the fires. In Brooklyn Center, MN, rioters set ablaze a home that had a Trump sign in the yard, spray painting "BLM", "Biden 2020" and the Antifa "A" with a circle around it. Democrats have become the face of violence andrevolt in America. The slogan, "Say Her Name" is regularly used to signal to and rally protesters against police. Democratic Presidential Candidate Joe Biden, instead of condemning the violence,spurred it on with a tweet: "We must continue to speak Breonna Taylor's name, support her family still in grieving, and never give up on ensuring the full promise of America for every American." Biden's running mate Kamala Harris tweeted: "We must never stopspeaking Breonna's name as we work to reform our justice system, including overhauling no-knock warrants." President Trump expressed prayers and concern for the two officers that were shot and responded, "My message is I love the black community." It appears to me that we have Marxists wanting rebellion and violence. Democrats wanting to get Trump out of office any way they can. The news media wanting a good fight.And all of them are blaming Trump for the lack of justice for Breonna Taylor. This is about the law, not the presidency. President Trump already has issued a very strong Executive Order on police reform; signed the First Step Act on criminal justice reform;and he has reversed many of the minimum sentence, bail policies and illegal evidence usage that Biden ardently supported when President Bill Clinton signed his infamous crime bill into law. The result of that bill has disproportionately and unfairly impactedthe black community. The narrative on Breonna Taylor appears to be far from the facts that the grand jury used in its decision. Police had been granted a "No Knock" warrant prior to the raidon Taylor's apartment. No such warrant, however, was used the day Taylor died. Instead, the ballistics report indicated, and an independent eyewitness, and Taylor's boyfriend (who opened fire on the police, causing them to defend themselves and resulting inTaylor's death) testified that both officers knocked and announced their presence at the apartment. This is hugely different than police officers barging into an apartment in the middle of the night and opening fire. According to court documents, that narrativeis false. Martin Luther King, Jr. said there were four steps to addressing racial problems of injustice: 1) Collection of the facts to determine whether injustices exist; 2) Negotiation;3) Self-purification; and 4) Direct action. Basing a discussion on a perceived event, or an emotionally driven viewpoint rather than respectfully discussing the facts gets in the way of determining whether an injustice exists. Integrity and respect for oneanother is the foundation for achieving lasting results. Our leaders should act to calm the emotions, get the facts, repent of any ungodly motives, and then take action to correct injustices. It was truly historic! Considering the geopolitical crisis thathas punctuated the Middle East since Israel's birth as a modern nation on May 14, 1948, any Israeli/Arab peace treaty is a monumental achievement. There had only been two in 72 years. Egypt was the first in 1978 at Camp David under Jimmy Carter and betweenAnwar El Sadat and Menahem Begin. It was followed by Jordan in 1994, at the White House under Bill Clinton and between King Hussein and Yitzhak Rabin. Then came the 2020 negotiations in the Middle East under Donald Trump and his team, and the impossible tookplace; the United Arab Emirates declared that they would normalize relations with Israel and soon after them, Bahrain followed suit. While nobody knows the details of what is to happen next, President Trump hinted at the fact that 5-6 other Arab nations are lined up to normalize relations with Israel. This is truly changingthe entire dynamics of the Middle East. The Abraham Accords (Abraham being the father of both Jewish and Arab nations), as they are being called, are truly history being written in front of our very eyes. The positive aspect of such an event is most definitelywelcome in 2020, a year that until now, could have been renamed "The year of all tragedies." In an exclusive interview with Vice President Mike Pence, Joel Rosenberg confirmed that the current administration desires to go the extra mile to strengthen US/Israel relations after theyhad been strained by the previous administration. Pence called Israel,"our most cherished ally" and said that "the president had decided from the very beginning of his administration that he was going to do everything he could to strengthen the U.S.-Israelalliance and try to advance peace." What a departure from the shaky relations that the US had under Barack Obama! Incidentally, Pence also mentioned that it was Democrat President Harry Truman who recognized Israel literally moments after Ben Gurion had declaredindependence in Tel Aviv. The Peace Treaties that were signed are very special because they open the door to more countries in the region, and that is a good thing. Additionally, they put Iran and the Palestinian Authorityon notice. When more countries like Saudi Arabia, Oman, Sudan and others decide to normalize relations with Israel, the Middle East as we have known it for the last several decades will be a thing of the past. Iran, already weakened by major US sanctions,is seeing its hegemony of the region erode by the day. As to the Palestinians, their response to the peace deals was still typical of their ideology and agenda; they sent missiles onto Israel from Gaza. The consensus from the Palestinians is that "there willbe no peace until Palestine is free." For now, the Palestinian Authority has decided to dig its heels in the sand, but with a weakened Iran increasingly unable to finance Hamas and Hezbollah, the tide might turn soon. The Palestinian narrative might becomeirrelevant. Wow, I never thought I would say that in my lifetime! We are truly living as critical history is being written. It is about peace. But there is peace and there is PEACE! Again, I do not wish to brush aside the momentous event that took place days ago, but I also want to bring some biblical perspective if I may. From a human perspective, nobody can argue thatpeace is good. The Bible tells us to get along with our fellow men whenever and however possible in Romans 12:18Open in Logos Bible Software (if available), "If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all." We are also told not to seek revengeor hold a grudge in Leviticus 19:18Open in Logos Bible Software (if available), " You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against the sons of your own people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord." So, there is definitely a biblicalprecedent for seeking peace with our neighbors. What about Israel? Does the Bible give us clues as to peace in the Middle East Region and the safety of Israel? I believe it does. The first thing we must understand is that, from our limited human perspective, peace is simply the absence of war. This doesn't make peace not worth seeking, but that is not the whole story.The peace we should be seeking is the one that comes from the Prince of Peace, Messiah Yeshua as He is called by that name in Isaiah 9:6Open in Logos Bible Software (if available) "For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the governmentwill rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace." Isaiah goes furtherin describing what life will be in the messianic kingdom, under the just rule of Messiah, the Prince of Peace, in Isaiah 11:6-10Open in Logos Bible Software (if available) we read, "And the wolf will dwell with the lamb, And the leopard will lie down withthe young goat, And the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little boy will lead them. Also, the cow and the bear will graze, Their young will lie down together, And the lion will eat straw like the ox. The nursing child will play by thehole of the cobra, And the weaned child will put his hand on the viper's den. They will not hurt or destroy in all My holy mountain, For the earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD As the waters cover the sea. Then in that day The nations will resortto the root of Jesse, Who will stand as a signal for the peoples; And His resting place will be glorious. We are told that the whole earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord and that the wild will fellowship with the tame as never seen before. The prophet Ezekiel (Chapters 40-48) also tellsus with great details about that future time in history when a beautiful Jewish Temple will be rebuilt in a New Jerusalem. That is what real PEACE will be all about, and anything but that is a thin veneer of "pretend peace" painted over a lost world in needof a Savior. The Bible also tells us that a false peace will exist, and while I recognize the incredible events of the last few days, biblically speaking, I still see the region undergoing turmoil. The door has been open for more peace in the Middle East andfor Israel to start feeling more secure. Israel will have to feel more secure in order to let her guard down and agree to sign a seven-year treaty with a charismatic new world leader that the Bible knows as the Antichrist. At first, the world will become mesmerized by this new figure. He is known by many names like "the little horn" (Daniel 7:8Open in Logos Bible Software (if available)), "the prince who isto come" (Daniel 8:23Open in Logos Bible Software (if available)), "the one who makes desolate" (Daniel 9:27Open in Logos Bible Software (if available)) and "the man of destruction" (2 Thessalonians 2:3Open in Logos Bible Software (if available)) to name justa few. Possibly his biggest achievement in the eyes of men will be the covenant he will sign with Israel to bring complete peace to the region. Needless to say, that this area of Israel is currently sitting on a powder keg with a very short fuse, so when he brings "false" peace,it will be received by many as real peace. The false peace that the antichrist will bring to the world will come to an end, but so will the antichrist's career of lies, abuse and rebellion against God. What we are seeing right now in the Middle East should be exciting from a human perspective, but even more so from a prophetic perspective sinceit opens the door for the rest of God's program to unravel and for the return of the Messiah to rule the earth. That's precisely what we've seen. The re-establishment of Israel in 1948 led the neighboring Arab nations to declare war. In the years that followed, Israel fought no less than four conventional wars withits neighbors and has spent every moment preparing for all-out war. For all of its 72-year history, the Arab nations of the Middle East have viewed Israel as a mortal enemy. The lone exceptions have been peace treaties with Egypt (1979)and Jordan (1994). Yet despite those treaties, many of the citizens of those two countries remain hostile toward the Jewish state. Is that changing? Some say it is, and they point out recent events that promise to transform the Middle East. One of those events took place last month. That's when Israel entered into its first peace agreement with an Arab neighbor since the 1994 treaty with Jordan. On August 13,President Trump announced the Abraham Accord - a peace agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates. The Abraham Accord is notable because the UAE is the first Persian Gulf state (and only the third Arab state) to establish full diplomatic relations with Israel. Ultimately,the agreement promises to build deeper cultural, economic, and military ties between the two nations. Diplomats claim the agreement is a template for establishing a new era of peace and prosperity in the Middle East. Less than a month after breaking news of the Abraham Accord, President Trump announced a similar peace agreement between Israel and Bahrain. Like the UAE, Bahrain will establishfull diplomatic relations with Israel. As if that weren't enough, in between the UAE and Bahrain deals, Trump brokered another deal that led Serbia and Kosovo to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital. What do these agreements mean? Do they really herald a new era of peace in the Middle East? Some think so. But it's more likely they herald a growing recognition on thepart of many Arab Muslim nations of their common need to counter Iran's growing influence in the region. All these nations have a shared interest in thwarting Iran's regional ambitions, even if it means partnering with Israel to do so. For that reason alone, many people believewe'll soon see similar peace agreements between Israel and other Arab nations, such as Oman and Saudi Arabia. So is any of this in the Bible? And if so, what does it mean? The Seven-Year Treaty Students of bible prophecy immediately take notice of any peace deal involving Israel. Why? Because the Bible says an Israeli peace treaty plays a central and pivotal rolein the end times. Over 2,500 years ago, Daniel said a mighty ruler will enter into a covenant or a treaty with Israel for a period of seven years (Daniel 9:27). This treaty kicks off theseven-year Tribulation and makes the ruler behind it a major player on the world stage. Who is this ruler? None other than "the man of lawlessness" (2 Thessalonians 2:3) himself - the Antichrist. Do any of the recent peace agreements qualify as the Daniel 9:27 treaty? Some say yes. They point out that the Daniel 9:27 treaty is a covenant made "with many," and inthis case, we see agreements between Israel and many nations - the UAE, Bahrain, Kosovo, and Serbia - with the prospect of more nations joining in the near future. But that's where the similarities begin and end. The treaty outlined in Daniel 9:27 is set for a specific period of time - seven years. None of the recent peace deals with Israel mention a period of seven years. Also,the man behind the treaty of Daniel 9:27 is a specific individual - the Antichrist. This is important to note. Because when it comes to the recent peace agreements with Israel, the driving diplomatic force has been the Trump administration, and Donald Trump is not the Antichrist.Despite what many of his political opponents may think or say, he simply doesn't fit the profile. The Bible describes the life and times of the Antichrist. It provides details in regard to his ethnic background and political career. Like Barack Obama before him, DonaldTrump doesn't fit the description. While people have accused every U.S. President of the past several decades of being the beast of Revelation, the Bible says the Antichrist will be the leader of a revivedRoman Empire (Daniel 7). He will come from among the people of the Italian peninsula (Daniel 9:26), and He will be called the Assyrian (Isaiah 10:12; Daniel 8:9). Furthermore, the Bible says the Antichrist will emerge from a group of ten kings (Daniel 7:7-8), and not all of these ten kings will willingly cede their power. Three willoppose him (Daniel 7:8). None of these verses describe Donald Trump. So unless a dramatic change takes place, the recent Israeli peace agreements are not the treaty described in Daniel 9:27. However, that doesn't mean they don't have propheticsignificance. In all likelihood, they lay the groundwork for the treaty Israel will eventually sign with the Prince of Darkness. A Time of Peace While the Bible doesn't cite any end times peace agreements other than Daniel 9:27, it does mention a time of relative peace Israel enjoys in the last days. The prophetEzekiel described this time of peace as a time when Israel will be an unprotected land of unwalled villages - a time when Israel will live in great confidence of its safety (Ezekiel 38:11). During this time, a massive coalition of armies will invade Israel from the north (Ezekiel 38:15; Ezekiel 39:2), and Russia will lead them. Known as the Gog of Magog War,the invading nations are as follows: Rosh = Russia Magog = Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, andAfghanistan Persia = Iran Cush = Sudan, Ethiopia Put = Libya Meshech, Tubal, Gomer, and Beth-togarmah = Turkey While the recent peace deals with the UAE and Bahrain aren't the covenant mentioned in Daniel 9:27, I believe they're setting the stage for the fulfillment of Ezekiel 38-39.The battle lines of the Middle East are being drawn, and nowhere is that more apparent than in the official response to the recently announced deals. Most predictable among them was Iran's reaction. According to Al Jazeera, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei accused the United Arab Emirates of betraying theIslamic world and the Palestinians. He promised the Emiratis will be disgraced forever, and the stigma of their betrayal will always be remembered. It's clear Tehran stands against this alliance, but the most revealing reaction came from Turkey's President - Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Erdogan threatened to suspend diplomaticties with the UAE and withdraw its ambassador after the Gulf state and Israel agreed to normalize relations. Until recently, this would have been a surprise. After all, Turkey is a longtime ally of Israel. However, since Erdogan rose to power in 2003, he's slowly dismantled manyof Turkey's democratic institutions. He's taken an antagonistic stance toward Israel and strengthened Turkey's ties with Russia and Iran. All that's left to permanently move Turkey into the Russian/Iranian sphere of influence is a clear break between Turkeyand NATO. While we wait for that moment, the military forces of the three most powerful members of the Gog of Magog alliance - Russia, Iran, and Turkey - are now cooperating in Syria.This puts their joint military forces right on Israel's border. And not just any border - Israel's northern border. This is where Ezekiel said the invasion force will come from - north of Israel (Ezekiel 38:15; Ezekiel 39:2). Is this a mere coincidence? I don't think so. Never in historyhave these three nations formed an alliance. Now, they're stationed directly to Israel's north. God continues to set the stage for the fulfillment of the Ezekiel 38-39 prophecies. Turkey has made a strategic choice to align itself with Russia and Iran. The UAE andBahrain have made a strategic choice to align themselves with Israel. If Oman and Saudi Arabia follow suit as expected, it explains why these nations aren't part of the Gog of Magog alliance. Eventually, Russia, Iran, Turkey, and their allieswill launch an overwhelming invasion force against Israel (Ezekiel 38:8-9). When they do, God will destroy them and display His power and glory for all the world to see (Ezekiel 38:23). The Bottom Line We'll have to wait and see what further developments take place before we can know for sure what the prophetic significance of these peace deals will be. None of these agreementsare explicitly mentioned in the Bible, and none of them qualify as the covenant mentioned in Daniel 9:27. However, collectively they're setting the stage for a prophetic event that will soon take place - the Gog of Magog invasion. Never in world history have the invading nations of Ezekiel 38-39 banded together. Today, they have. Never before have Russia, Iran, and Turkey posted armies on Israel'snorthern border. Today, they have. Israel enjoying peace with its neighbors and a false sense of security is the only missing ingredient. Once it's in place, the stage will be set for the fulfillment of the events described in Ezekiel 38-39. Saudi Arabia, Bahrainand the UAE in Prophecy “After UAE, Bahrain deals signed, Trump says 7-9 countries seek peace with Israel” “Soon after historic Abraham Accords ceremony at the White House, US president includes Saudi Arabia among those nations also now ready to normalize ties with Jewish state.” (Times of Israel – 9/15/20) Saudi Arabia is back in the news again and that has some Bible prophecy pundits warning that a 2600-year old biblical prediction could be about tohappen! In one of his most detailed apocalyptic writings, the prophet Ezekiel identifies the nation of Saudi Arabia in his 38th chapter. This ancient prophecy informs of a forthcoming massive invasion of Israel in the last days. It identifies an invading coalition that appears to beled by Russia and includes Turkey, Iran and nine populations in total. In addition to this intimidating list of invaders, Ezekiel identifies a group of nations that appear to be contesting the evil intentions of thiscoalition. The verse below explains the sinister motives of the invaders and identifies the concerned protesters. “Sheba, Dedan, the merchants of Tarshish, and all their young lions will say to you, ‘Have you come to take plunder? Have you, (Russia), gathered your (coalition) army to take booty, to carry away silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods, to take great plunder?’” (Ezekiel 38:13, NKJV; emphasis added) This passage identifies Saudi Arabia under the banner of Dedan. The Saudis are assembled alongside Sheba, (Yemen), Tarshish, (UK), and their YoungLions, (USA, and maybe Canada and Australia). This grouping of countries appear to be actively protesting, rather than militarily preventing this invasion of Israel. The concerns of these sideline spectators are lodged in several questions, which help us to recognize that the primary goal of these invaders is toconquer Israel for their own capital gains. These belligerents intend to seize control over all aspects of Israel’s economy. Due to the budding relationships between Russia, Turkey and Iran, several Bible prophecy teachers believe that Ezekiel 38 could be the next event to find fulfillment on the end times prophetic calendar. But is it? Saudi Arabia is actually identified in at least four unfulfilled prophecies and when they are laid out sequentially, it turns out that Ezekiel 38:13 is seemingly the last of the four to find fulfillment. In addition to Ezekiel 38, Saudi Arabia, as Dedan, is the subject of biblical predictions in Jeremiah 49 and Ezekiel 25. Moreover, the Saudis appear to be represented as the Ishmaelites in the 3000-year old prophecy foretold in Psalm 83. These prophecies will be presented in their apparent chronological order, but beforehand it is important to connect the ancient territory of Dedanand the Ishmaelite peoples of the past with modern-day Saudi Arabia. Where is Dedan? Saudi Arabia. Some Bible scholars, such as Gary Stearman of Prophecy Watchers,[i] suggest that in the Old Testament, Dedan mighteven extend beyond Saudi Arabia to also include the modern-day Gulf Cooperation Council, (GCC), countries of Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and the UAE. If Dedan represents the entirety of the GCC Arab states, this could be prophetically relevant in light ofrecent events. “Israel signs accords with United Arab Emirates and Bahrain at White House ceremony” (USA Today – 9/15/20) Presently, the UAE and Bahrain are in the process of normalizing national relations with Israel as part of the “Peace to Prosperity” aspect of DonaldTrump’s, “Deal of the Century” Mideast peace plan. This economic part of Trump’s plan was introduced by White House adviser Jared Kushner in Bahrain on June 25, 2019. “In Bahrain, U.S. Tries to Promote Mideast Peace Through Prosperity” (NY Times – 6/25/19) In the process of achieving peace with the UAE and Bahrain, which are two Arab nations that never posed a real threat to the Jewish state, Israelhas agreed to temporarily postpone its plans to annex territory in the West Bank. The annexation of this land was part of the political aspect of Trump’s peace plan. “UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan: “I thank Netanyahu for choosing to stop annexation of Palestinian land.”” (Times of Israel – 9/15/20) It’s interesting to note that UAE’s Foreign Minister considers the territory in question “Palestinian land.” In the cosmic CHESS MATCH betweengood and evil, it appears that evil moved two PAWNS, the UAE and Bahrain, forward and successfully put Israel into CHECK when it comes to the “Chosen People” expanding further into the “Promised Land.” How this newly formed alignment between Israel, the UAEand Bahrain may have prophetic implications will be explored near the end of this article. Whether or not Dedan includes all of the GCC countries, most biblical scholars would agree that at least it identifies Saudi Arabia. Who are the Ishmaelites? Some suggest that Ishmael, the patriarch of the Ishmaelites, was the father of the Arabs and that he settled in Arabia. Ancient Arabia is now oftenalluded to as the Arabian Peninsula, and it is mostly encompassed by Saudi Arabia. The map and quote from Wikipedia below, reinforces these understandings. “The Book of Genesis and Islamic traditions consider Ishmael to be the ancestor of the Ishmaelites/Arabiansand patriarch of Qaydār. According to Muslim tradition, Ishmael the Patriarch and his mother Hagar are buried next to the Kaaba in Mecca… Ishmael is recognized as an important prophet and patriarch of Islam. Muslims believe that Ishmael was the firstborn ofAbraham, born to him from his wife Sarah’s slave, Hagar. Ishmael is recognized by Muslims as the ancestor of several prominent Arab tribes and the forefather of Muhammad.” The Four Unfulfilled Saudi Arabia Bible Prophecies SAUDI PROPHECY #1 “Flee, turn back, dwell in the depths, O inhabitants of Dedan! For I will bring the calamity of Esau upon him, The time that I will punish him.” (Jeremiah 49:8) This often-overlooked Jeremiah foretelling concerning Dedan was penned approximately two decades prior to Ezekiel’s issuance of his 38th chapter. Jeremiah issues a stern admonition to the inhabitants dwelling in Dedan to, “Flee, turn back, dwell in the depths.” This forewarning is given because “the calamity of Esau” is coming. Apparently, when this future prediction happens, the Saudis will have joined forces with Esau’s descendants, and in so doing, will become positionedin the line of fire. The Lord is going to punish Esau severely, and for Saudi Arabia’s own protection, Jeremiah warns them to flee and turn back to the depths of their homeland. This infers that at the time of Esau’s calamity, that Saudi armed forces are involved in a military operation that is taking place on foreign soil. The fifty-million-dollar question is, “what is Esau’s Calamity?” This topic will be addressed further down in this article, but beforehand it’s important to note what Jeremiah says happens to Esau’s neighbors as a result of the calamity. “And he, (Esau), shall not be able to hide himself. His descendants, (the Edomites), are plundered, His brethren and his neighbors, And he is no more.” (Jer. 49:9–10, NKJV; emphasis added) Esau’s neighbors are plundered. This would include Saudi Arabia, if they don’t heed the warning to, “flee, turn back, dwell in the depths.” In other words, back off and go back home or else be plundered alongside of Esau’s descendants. SAUDI PROPHECY #2 “‘Thus says the Lord God: “Because of what (the) Edom(ites) did against the house of Judah (Israelis) by taking vengeance, and has greatly offended by avenging itself on them,” therefore thus says the Lord God: “I will also stretch out My hand against Edom, cut off man and beast from it,and make it desolate from Teman; Dedan shall fall by the sword. I will lay My vengeance on Edom by the hand of My people Israel, that they may do in Edom according to My anger and according to My fury; and they shall know My vengeance,” says the Lord God.” (Ezekiel 25:12-14, NKJV; emphasis added) About two decades after Jeremiah pens his warning for the Saudis to disengage from their alignment with Esau, Ezekiel prophesies that the Saudis willfail to do so. As such, “Dedan shall fall by the sword.” In the Bible, “the sword” is often used as a typology for a war. Thus, this identifies the Saudis as one of the neighbors that get plundered in the related war when Esau’s Calamity comes. This Ezekiel passage also explains why Esau’s Calamity comes and how this calamitous campaign is carried out. The Edomite descendants of Esau willbe guilty of attempting to bring harm against the Jews, and in retaliation, the Lord will empower the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) to execute His anger, fury and vengeance. This curse for curse in kind response comes directly out of the Genesis 12:3 playbook. This verse represents God’s foreign policy to the Gentile nations.Those countries that do good to Israel will be blessed, but those that do harm will be cursed. The Edomites seek to harm the Jews, so in turn, God lifts up the IDF to eliminate all of Esau’s descendants! Yes, I said ELIMINATE ESAU’S DESCENDANTS. The prophet Obadiah foretells it this way: ““The house of Jacob, (the IDF), shall be a fire, And the house of Joseph, (the IDF), a flame; But the house of Esau shall be stubble; They shall kindle them and devour them, And no survivor, (descendant), shall remain of the house of Esau,” For the Lord has spoken.” (Obadiah 1:18, NKJV; emphasis added) Understanding the size and scope of Esau’s calamity, it’s understandable why Jeremiah previously warns the Saudis to back off and go back home before this war happens. SAUDI PROPHECY #3 “They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.” For they have consultedtogether with one consent; They form a confederacy against You: The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites; Moab and the Hagrites; Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek; Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre; Assyria also has joined with them; They have helped the childrenof Lot. Selah” (Psalm 83:4-8) Saudi Arabia’s third unfulfilled prophecy is encapsulated in Psalm 83. I have covered Psalm 83 extensively in my book and associated DVD entitled,Psalm 83: The Missing Prophecy Revealed, How Israel Becomes the Next Mideast Superpower. In those prior works, I explain the connections between the three Saudi prophecies identified thus far. ESAU’S CALAMITY In my book I explain how Esau’s Calamity is described in Psalm 83 and the related peripheral prophecies provided below. This is not an exhaustive list; all told there are nearly 150 verses that chronicle this calamitous event. Within these passages we find out that the IDF isGod’s tool to defend Israel when these prophecies happen. • Psalm 83:1-18…………………………………. (18 verses) • Jeremiah 49:1-29, 12:14-17…………………. (32 verses) • Ezekiel 25:12-17, 28:24-26, 35:1-36:7, 37:10 (32 verses) • Isaiah 17:1-14, 19:1-18, 11:14………………. (35 verses) • Obadiah 1:1-21………………………………… (21 verses) •Zephaniah 2:4-11……………………………… (8 verses) • Zechariah 12:2, 4-6…………………………… (4 verses) So who are Esau’s descendants today? They are the “Tents of Edom” in Psalm 83:6. Esau fathered the Edomites as per Genesis 36:1. In my Psalm 83 book I point out that the Edomites have an ethnical representation within the Palestinians. Not all Palestinians have an Edomite heritage, but many of them do. The fact that they are identified as the “Tents of Edom,” infers that at the time of Esau’s Calamity, they are classified as refugees. In the Bible the “tents of” typically represents either military encampments or refugee scenarios. I believe that the Psalm describes the Palestinian refugees of today. These Edomites are enjoined in the ten-member confederacy of Psalm 83:6-8 that wants to destroy Israel in Psalm 83:5. Below is a map that identifies the modern-day equivalents of these ancient populations. Observe that Saudi Arabia is included. SAUDI PROPHECY #4 This fourth Saudi prophecy takes us back to the top of the article and Ezekiel 38:13. If the sequence of prophetic events presented thus far is correct, then by this future time Saudi Arabia has been plundered severely with the Palestinian refugees and their Psalm 83:6-8 confederacy. Apparently, after being plundered, the Saudis decide to align themselves with the protesters, rather than the invaders in Ezekiel 38. Perhaps at this future point, when there is no further Palestinian plight to banner, the Saudis will abandon their Arab (Saudi) Peace Initiative in favor of normalized relations with Israel. The Prophetic Implications of Israel’s peace with Bahrain and the UAE If the first two prophecies about Dedan extend beyond Saudi Arabia to also include Bahrain and the UAE, then this current peace will be temporary.Those two predictions point out that Dedan gets plundered at the time of Esau’s Calamity. The IDF wouldn’t plunder Bahrain or the UAE if these peace deals were still in place. However, there is another possible prophetic scenario to watch for that might include Bahrain and the UAE. Jeremiah 49:34-39 informs of an end timeswar with Iran. I write about this war in my book entitled, “Nuclear Showdown in Iran, Revealing the Ancient Prophecy of Elam.” In a nutshell, this prophecy declares that Iran will experience a disaster, probably nuclear, and it appears that this results from a military attackby the enemies of Iran. The key verse is below. “For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies And before those who seek their life. I will bring disaster upon them, My fierce anger,’ says the Lord; ‘And I will send the sword after them Until I have consumed them.’” (Jeremiah 49:37) Unfortunately, this verse does not specify who Iran’s enemies are, but it’s highly likely that if this prophecy were to happen soon, that Iran’s enemieswould at least include Israel, the USA, the UAE, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. It’s common knowledge that a primary reason that Bahrain and the UAE are normalizing relations with Israel is to gain America and Israel as allies in the event of a future war withIran. If a war with Iran is forthcoming in the near future, these current peace deals between Israel with the UAE and Bahrain, could make it easier foran American, Israel and GCC Arab coalition to form and fight against Iran in fulfillment of this prophecy. Matthew 25:13, "Watch therefore, for you know neither the daynor the hour." (any emphasis mine) First, being part of the Trinity, Jesus had every right to know the exact second He would call His church (believers) to keep us from the wrath. While He was on this earth, He became fullyhuman (Hebrews 2:9), and was totally submissive to the Father. He led by example as to how we should live. As He did His healings and other miracles, He gave all praise to the Father, and was in prayer to Him often. At the moment He was raised from the dead,I'm sure He was again totally God, and reclaimed His Omniscience (All Knowing). To sit down at the right hand of the Father was a sign of completion. Hebrews 10:12, "But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sin, He sat down at the right hand of God." Romans 8:34, "Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the One who died; more than that, who was raised; who is at the right hand of God, who is indeed interceding for us." Colossians 3:1-2, "If then you have been raised [received Him as your Savior], seek the things that are above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father. Set your mind on thingsthat are above; not on things that are on earth." And of course, Hebrews 1:3, "He is the radiance of the Glory of God, and the exact imprint of His nature [He is God]; and He upholds the universe by the word of His power. After making purificationfor sins [our sins], He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on High." Just as we are certain Jesus lived a sinless life on this earth, was crucified on a cruel cross that we deserve, and was raised from the dead on the third day to conquer sin and death on ourbehalf, we can be certain that He will come again, as promised, to take us Home. By the way, He didn't "swoon" and not die as some would say. For a Roman soldier to allow someone to come off a cross and still be alive would have meant a death sentence forthat soldier. Jesus, being fully human, experienced real death, and just as believers experience today when they die, His spirit immediately was with the Father. How else could He promise the repentantthief that "today, you will be with Me in paradise"? (Luke 23:43). On the other hand, I've used the parable of the rich man and Lazarus numerous times (Luke 16) as an example of what happens when someone takes their last breath on earth. The rich man wasout of the will of the Father, and was already in torment, though not yet the Lake of Fire. Lazarus, in the will of the Father, was in paradise, or as stated, "In the bosom of Abraham." Over the past several months, it is very obvious this whole world is going through changes. To believe all this will settle down and go back to whatever "normal" is supposed to be just isn'tgoing to happen. Matthew 24, Luke 21, and 2 Timothy 3 all give us end-time signs and attitudes that will be here near the end of this age. In 2 Peter 3:3-4 we're told that "knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing [mocking,ridiculing], following their own sinful desires. They will say, 'Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep [died], all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation.'" Thing is, Satan is convincing many that everything is "normal" and that the problem lies with all believers. He is getting the way prepared for his ultimate evil antichrist and false prophetto appear. Sadly, a majority of the earth's population is falling prey to him and his demons. Christians are being labeled as "haters," and the persecution is just beginning. Things are not continuing as they were before. Satanic influence is obvious, and his followers are out in the open as never before. For believers, this is a sign we are close to experiencingone of the last remaining major prophecies to be fulfilled. Starting with 1 Corinthians 15:51-53; "Behold, I tell you a mystery. Follow this up with 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17; "But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers/ sisters, about those who are asleep [already dead], that you may not grieve as others do whohave no hope [all unbelievers]. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep [believers' souls that have been with Jesus]. For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord,that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. "For the Lord Himself will descend from Heaven with a cry of command; with the voice of an archangel; and with the sound of the Trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then,we who are alive, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will be with the Lord." Please note, the Trumpet in these passages is not one of the Trumpet Judgments of the wrath. Also, only the dead in Christ will rise up and be joined with their spirits to be given a foreverimperishable heavenly body. Those who are alive will have their bodies converted on the way up to meet Jesus. No more pain, suffering of any kind, and no more death forever. Of course, there's a second side to this event that involves all from the beginning of creation, and all to the end of the millennial reign of Jesus that were, or will be, unsaved. They toowill receive imperishable forever bodies at the Great White Throne Judgment of Revelation 20:11-15 that will be designed to last forever in the Lake of Fire. There will be no relief from their individual punishment, and even though they would want to ceaseto exist, this will not happen. Knowing that the unknown day or hour is rapidly approaching, why would anyone want to take a chance and put off calling on Jesus to be their Savior? I realize that many are totally "hooked"on what this world supposedly offers, and they don't consider the future of their eternal souls. It has become a "Me, Right Now" society. Jesus said we would know the season by what is taking place, just not the day or hour. "Twinkling of an eye" is instantaneous - less than one second. Being prepared beforehand would be veryadvisable. So, if you haven't accepted the Savior, but believe you will "a bit later," are you willing to gamble that He won't come today? Satan would love for you to keep putting it off. Therefore, the question remains; If Not Now - When? After the Rapture, it will be possible for people to be saved because Revelation 6:9-11 tells about those killed during the tribulation/wrath.However, to avoid the tribulation/wrath altogether would be the best and wisest choice you could ever make. It turns out that despite a massive effort put into educatingAmericans about the mass murder of European Jewry by the German Nazis and their collaborators, a sizable percentage of millennials (defined as those aged 18 to 39) know little or nothing about it or actually believe anti-Semitic canards about this atrocitybeing the fault of the Jews. Many Jews are understandably expressing dismay about those numbers and calling for greater efforts to be made to increase and improve Holocaust education. But it's likelythat many of them are the same people who are dismissing President Donald Trump's concerns about the way the teaching of American history is being distorted or trashed by those peddling false narratives about the country being irredeemably racist. Trump's concerns, stated in a Constitution Day speech given last week in which he vowed to create a commission to combat this trend, were widely dismissed as either electioneeringor racist. Anything a president says while running for re-election can be regarded as political. Yet his attempt to call attention to the importance of the ongoing fight over American history didn't seem to resonate among those who are the first to decry the implicationsof the lack of historical knowledge about the Holocaust. The fact that 15 percent of millennials think that Jews caused the Holocaust, 41 percent agreed with the claim that people talk about it "too much," and 12 percent thinkthat it was either a myth or exaggerated is shocking. It's all the more troubling since those polled grew up in an era when Holocaust education has proliferated and is mandatory in many states. Indeed, the study, which was sponsored by the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany, showed that there was no correlation between living in states where Holocausteducation is mandatory and having a firm grasp of the history. The problem isn't just a function of requiring schools to teach about this crime, but that what is being taught isn't necessarily helping to correct the situation, let alonedealing with a rising tide of anti-Semitism. As scholar Ruth Wisse writes in National Affairs, instead of merely doubling down on curricula that may be hurting as much as they are helping, we need to rethink Holocaust-education programs that were flawed fromthe start. Citing the work of the great historian Lucy Dawidowicz, Wisse astutely points out that programs that attempt to enlist the Holocaust in a generic liberal fight against hatemisidentify the causes of the Shoah and "conceals rather than confronts anti-Jewish aggression." The lesson here is not just the importance of teaching history, but the danger from the spread of poorly conceived or misleading efforts to teach about it. And that is exactlywhy Trump's call to arms to defend American history against radical revisionists should be supported regardless of what you think about him. The real scandal about Trump's desire to found a "1776 Commission" to combat the growing influence of curricula based on The New York Times' fraudulent "1619 Project" isn'this alleged politicization of the subject. It's that so many otherwise responsible sources continue to treat the Pulitzer Prize-winning collection published by the Times as credible rather than a shameless exercise in propaganda. Critiques of the "1619 Project" by even liberal anti-Trump historians have pointed out that its basic thesis about racism being the primary characteristic of all of Americanhistory is based in falsehoods and distortions. The notion that the purpose of the American Revolution was solely to defend slavery is as big a lie as is the collection's attempts to deny that the arc of the nation's history is a long march towards the expansionof freedom and its defense of liberty around the globe. That was bad enough, though recently it came out that the Times has attempted to erase some of these fraudulent claims while still not acknowledging its egregious errors.This is all the more scandalous because the paper is peddling its mendacious account of history to school districts around the country, which are eagerly snapping it up so as to show their support for critical race theory and the Black Lives Matter movement. For many people, Trump is such a flawed messenger that he discredits any cause he takes up. Still, that is no excuse for the widespread willingness to ignore or scoff athis effort to push back against the growing influence of the "1619 Project." It is, as its principal author Hannah Nikole-Jones has proudly boasted in a since-deleted tweet, the inspiration for the "mostly peaceful" BLM demonstrations that have nonethelessled to hundreds of violent riots and acts of intimidation and violence in hundreds of American cities. Like the BLM movement, which is both an anodyne expression of opposition to racism, and also a Marxist and intersectional attack on liberal democracy, the falsificationof history put forth by the "1619 Project" is a dangerous revisionist effort. It undermines education not only about America's past, but about the liberal values of free speech that leftist "cancel culture" inextricably tied to the BLM movement isdetermined to extinguish. Instead of an effort to create an authoritarian "state history" curriculum, Trump's championing of a patriotic response is a necessary antidote to an illiberal trend being fostered by both BLM and the associated "anti-racism" trainingprograms that are actually rooted in the same assumptions that promote racism. Jews know all too well the cost of the ignorance of history and the promulgation of false historical narratives that undermine the liberal values essential to our security.That's why the Jewish community should support efforts to oppose the "1619 Project."
