AMERICA IN CRISIS: 9.19.20 - The prophecy of lawlessness

The prophecy of lawlessness - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com Law enforcement officers are under fire across the nation. Efforts to defund the police are taking place wherever there are Black Lives Matter and Antifa protests. Chicagocontinues its murderous crime wave. "Violent protests" continue in various large cities, but the problem is, they are not protests once they turn violent as the media fails to report. They are riots. Unlawful riots. Over the weekend, two Los Angeles law enforcementofficers were ambushed as they sat in their police cruiser. They are in critical, but stable condition, no thanks to so-called "protesters" who were blocking the emergency room entrance and according to various reports at least one shouted, "I hope they die." This is a true testimony to what is happening in our country. A person attempts to murder two police officers. Protesters block the entrance of the emergency room wherethe two officers are taken for life-saving treatment. Protesters are hoping "they die." In my opinion, those are not protesters, they are complicit in the crime. They all should be arrested and tried for the very same crime the shooter committed. But in thisvery incident is found the condition of our nation. A group of people have taken upon themselves to turn a nation of laws into a nation of lawlessness. Peaceful protests supporting police reform is one thing. Riots and blocking emergency services for woundedhumans is reprehensible. FOX News in LA and several others posted accounts of videos taken by various people showed the disdain for police. One eyewitness to the shootings recorded a self-videothat celebrated the shooting, repeatedly saying the "N-word-s got aired out." Black Lives Matter protesters videoed their walk to the hospital to "visit" the "pigs" that got shot and were upset with the "pigs" who wouldn't let them onto the hospital grounds. The lead protester characterized the officers who were shot as "two of America's most notorious gang members" and that "we're going to go up here and just check on these two murderers right here." This is the mentality of the spirit of hate and ignorance atthe center of these peoples' hearts. The harsh rhetoric by politicians over the past four years has no doubt contributed to the boldness of those who are breaking the law. They justify their acts by hijackingmovements and using any excuse to behave violently. Politicians, who should be unifying the nation, break even wider splits in the divide using the wedge of hateful rhetoric swung by the handle of an irresponsible news media. Christ said in Matthew 24:12 thatin the latter days, "And because lawlessness shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold." We are seeing first hand just how this prophecy can begin to play out. Right here in America. Problem is, these are all heart issues. Yes, there needs to be change, but it starts with the heart. America 1950 vs. America 2020 - by Michael Snyder - http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/archives/america-1950-vs-america-2020 If you could go back to 1950, would you do it? There would be no Internet, no cellphones and you would only be able to watch television in black and white. But even thoughthey lacked many of our modern conveniences, people genuinely seemed to be much happier back then. Families actually ate dinner together, neighbors knew and cared about one another, and being an "American" truly meant something. Today, we like to think thatwe are so much more "advanced" than they were back then, but the truth is that our society is in the process of falling apart all around us. Could it be possible that we could learn some important lessons by looking back at how Americans lived 70 years ago? Of course there has never been any era in our history when everything has been perfect. But without a doubt, things are vastly different today than they were back in 1950... In 1950, Texaco Star Theatre, The Lone Ranger and Hopalong Cassidy were some of the most popular shows that Americans watched on television. In 2020, a Netflix film entitled "Cuties" is so trashy and so disgusting that four states have sent a letter to Netflix asking for it to be removed because it is "fodderfor those with criminal imaginations, serving to normalize the view that children are sexual beings." In 1950, television networks would not even show husbands and wives in bed together. In 2020, "adult websites" get more traffic than Netflix, Amazon and Twitter combined. In 1950, people would greet one another as they walked down the street. In 2020, Americans are too enamored with their cellphones to be bothered with actual human contact. In 1950, gum chewing and talking in class were some of the major disciplinary problems in our schools. In 2020, kids are literally gunning down police officers in the streets. In 1950, people would make an effort to dress up and look nice when they would go out in public. In 2020, most of the population has become utter slobs and "People of Walmart" has become one of our most popular memes. In 1950, the typical woman got married for the first time at age 20 and the typical man got married for the first time at age 22. In 2020, the typical woman gets married for the first time at age 27 and the typical man gets married for the first time at age 29. In 1950, a lot of people would leave their homes and their vehicles unlocked because crime rates were so low. In 2020, many that live in urban areas are deathly afraid of all the civil unrest that has erupted, and gun sales have soared to all-time record highs. In 1950, Americans actually attempted to parent their children. In 2020, we pump our kids full of mind-altering drugs and we let our televisions and our video games raise our children. In 1950, Baltimore was one of the most beautiful and most prosperous cities on the entire planet. In 2020, Baltimore regularly makes headlines because of all the murders that are constantly occurring. Of course the exact same thing could be said about many of our othermajor cities. In 1950, 78 percent of all households in America contained a married couple. In 2020, that figure has fallen below 50 percent. In 1950, about 5 percent of all babies in the United States were born to unmarried parents. In 2020, about 40 percent of all babies in the United States will be born to unmarried parents. In 1950, new churches were regularly being opened all over the United States. In 2020, it is being projected that 1 out of every 5 churches in the U.S. "could be forced to shut their doors in the next 18 months", and the mayor of Lubbock, Texas justsaid that opening a new Planned Parenthood clinic is like starting a church. In 1950, we actually had high standards for our elected officials, and people actually did research on the candidates before they cast their votes. In 2020, more than 4,000 people in one county in New Hampshire voted for a "transsexual Satanic anarchist" in the Republican primary, and she is now the Republican nomineefor sheriff in Cheshire County. In 1950, children would go outside and play when they got home from school. In 2020, our parks and our playgrounds are virtually empty and we have the highest childhood obesity rate in the industrialized world. In 1950, front porches were community gathering areas, and people would regularly have their neighbors over for dinner. In 2020, many of us don't know our neighbors at all, and the average American watches more than five hours of television a day. In 1950, Americans used words such as "knucklehead", "moxie" and "jalopy". In 2020, new terms such as "nomophobia", "peoplekind" and "social distancing" have been introduced into the English language. In 1950, the very first credit card was issued in the United States. In 2020, Americans owe more than 930 billion dollars on their credit cards. In 1950, one income could support an entire middle class household. In 2020, tens of millions of Americans have lost their jobs and filed for unemployment, and more than half of all households in some of our largest cities are currentlyfacing "serious financial problems". In 1950, the American people believed that the free market should govern the economy. In 2020, most Americans seem to believe that the government in Washington and the Federal Reserve must endlessly "manage" the economy. In 1950, "socialists" and "communists" were considered to be our greatest national enemies. In 2020, most of our politicians in Washington have eagerly embraced socialist and communist policy goals. In 1950, the U.S. Constitution was deeply loved and highly revered. In 2020, anyone that actually admits to being a "constitutionalist" is considered to be a potential domestic terrorist. In 1950, the United States loaned more money to the rest of the world than anybody else. In 2020, the United States owes more money to the rest of the world than anybody else. In 1950, the total U.S. national debt reached the 257 billion dollar mark for the first time in our history. In 2020, we added 864 billion dollars to the national debt in the month of June alone. In other words, we added over three times more to the national debt in that one monththan the total amount of debt that had been accumulated from the founding of our nation all the way to 1950. In 1950, most Americans were generally happy with their lives. In 2020, the suicide rate is at an all-time record high, and it has been rising every single year since 2007. Where are the police? - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com The most recent Minneapolis City Council meeting should become the anthem for liberal cause and effect. In June the Council bowed to Black Lives Matter and Antifa activists to pledge to defundthe police and replace them with some undefined social workers called "violence interrupters." Since then, Minneapolis Police Department crime data indicates that more people have been killed in the city in the first nine months of 2020 than in all of lastyear; arson has increased 55%; and all violent crimes, property crimes and theft have increased significantly. Now the very same Council members grilled the police chief, asking "Where are the police?" As it turns out, over 100 officers-double the usual number-have left the police department, according to police chief Medaria Arradondo. In addition, City Council members were whining thatofficers were not arresting perpetrators of the crime. NPR reported that Council President Lisa Bender, who was among those leading the call to defund the department, suggested that officers were being defiant. She said that her constituents say officers onthe street have admitted that they're purposely not arresting people who are committing crimes. Council members complained that crime had increased in wards which are usually safe and that their constituents are feeling "terrorized." NPR reports that the increased crime statistics, however, has not deterred Council member Phillipe Cunningham of the 4th Ward from getting rid of the police department. Cunningham supportsthe creation of a new community safety agency to replace the police department. He told the Council that it's particularly important now to start instituting public health-based approaches to violence prevention. He said, "If we have these systems in placewe are getting ahead of the violence. That's why I have advocated so strongly for the violence interrupters, because if they are interrupting the violence before the guns are being fired, then the MPD doesn't have to respond to that violence." The councilearlier took more than $1 million from the police budget to hire "violence interrupters" to address potentially violent confrontations. This entire City Council meeting episode exposes the absolute lunacy of the liberal mindset. The Council unanimously caved to the very people who were committing violence and voted to defundthe police. Then they diverted a million dollars from the police budget to fund social workers to interrupt violence. In the meantime, police are quitting the department at twice the normal rate and violent crime skyrocketed. The leftist response: "Where arethe police?" They are essentially accusing the police of what they, themselves, did. No clue, or no recognition of responsibility. And these type of people are in charge of most every major city. Proverbs 18:2 says, "A fool has no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself." And if you follow him down the road, you will end up in the ditch asking "where's the road?"
