AMERICA IN CRISIS: 9.4.21 - Empty Shelves, Severe Shortages And Widespread Crop Failures

Empty Shelves, Severe Shortages And Widespread Crop Failures Are Ahead In The Fall Of 2021- by Michael Snyder - http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/empty-shelves-severe-shortages-and-widespread-crop-failures-are-ahead-in-the-fall-of-2021/ The overall mood of the nation is becoming increasingly sour with each passing day. The pandemic seems like it is never going to end, the drama unfolding in Afghanistanis one of the greatest embarrassments in modern American history, and Joe Biden’s approval rating is sinking like a rock as it becomes clear that he is completely and utterly incompetent. Unfortunately, average Americans will soon have even more to be stressedout about. As we head into the fall months, our store shelves are going to be getting emptier, shortages of products will become more widespread, and it looks like we could potentially have a very bad harvest season. I realize that I packed a lot of really bad news into that paragraph, and some of you may be tempted to think that I am exaggerating. So let me take this one step at a time. First, I would like to talk about crop failures. According to the Department of Agriculture, 63 percent of all U.S. spring wheatis in “poor or very poor condition”. Last year at this time, that number was sitting at just 6 percent… Extreme heat is baking most of the U.S. North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa and Nebraska all contain areas of extreme drought, according to data from the U.S. DroughtMonitor. North Dakota and Minnesota, in particular, are experiencing near-record lows in soil moisture, according to data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. As a result, many crops planted this spring are wilting. Some 63% of the U.S. spring wheat crop is in poor or very poor condition, versus 6% at this time last year, accordingto Agriculture Department data. So does this mean that agricultural production will be below expectations? Yes. In fact, the USDA is now projecting that levels of corn, wheat and soybeans will all be “at their lowest level since 2013”… The poor weather has caused the USDA to scale back its expectations for U.S. crop production in 2021—which, in turn, is causing domestic inventories to dwindle. In the USDA’slatest monthly supply and demand report, the agency pegged ending stocks for corn, wheat, and soybeans all at their lowest level since 2013. Of course this comes at a time when we are also seeing crop failures in other key areas all over the globe. For example, we are currently witnessing one of the worst droughts that South America has ever experienced. Agricultural production has been absolutely devastated in Brazil,Argentina, and elsewhere, and this is going to have a huge impact all over the planet. What this means is that global hunger is going to continue to grow rapidly, and this is extremely bad news because global hunger has already been rising at an extremelyaggressive rate… Earlier this month, the humanitarian organization Oxfam released alarming statistics that measured the state of the food crisis after one year of the pandemic. Every minute, eleven people on the planet die of hunger. The number of people experiencing famine-like conditions globally has increased by six times in the past year. Many Americans may not care about starving people on the other side of the globe, but they are going to care very much when their Christmas celebrations “are ruined” becauseof severe shortages in the stores. While she was in Singapore this week, Kamala Harris specifically warned us about what is coming… “The stories that we are now hearing about the caution that if you want to have Christmas toys for your children, it might now be might be the time to start buying them, because the delay may be many, many months,” she said. “So across the board, people are experiencing the issue. And, of course, the climate crisis is fueling a lot of this. When we look at the stronger typhoons that have disruptedshipping lanes and sea-level rise, which threatens port infrastructure as an example. So these are the many issues that are causing these disruptions,” Harris said. Wow. When Kamala Harris starts sounding just like The Economic Collapse Blog, then you know that it is really late in the game. Even now, empty shelves and widespread shortages are being reported all over the nation. Susan Duclos over at ANP has done an excellent job of documenting what is goingon out there. People from around the country have been sending photos to her, and this has helped her readers to understand that this is not a phenomenon that is just limited to a few areas. Unfortunately, this is just the beginning. The holiday season is expected to greatly exacerbate the shortages, and it is being reported that “new problems are arising weekly”… Grocery-store chains are still battling supply challenges that some executives said are as bad as what they saw in spring 2020, when hoarding left holes in stocks of somestaples. Industry executives say new problems are arising weekly, driven by shortages of labor and raw materials. Groceries including frozen waffles and beverages remain scarce assome food companies anticipate disruptions lasting into 2022. A wider range of products is running short and logistical challenges are compounding for many retailers. Grocery stores are ordering more food like crazy, but we have gotten to a point where the largest U.S. food distributors simply cannot fulfill all of the orders… According to Bloomberg, some of the largest U.S. food distributors are “reporting difficulties in fulfilling orders as a lack of workers weighs on the supply chain.” Takedistribution giant Sysco, North America’s largest wholesale food distributor, which is turning away customers in some areas where demand is exceeding capacity. Worse, food inflation is about to soar: the company said prices for key goods such as chicken, pork and paper products for takeout packaging are climbing amid tight supplies. In particular, production has slowed for high-demand, labor-intensive cuts like bacon, ribs, wings and tenders, Sysco said. And if intermediate and final wholesale prices are “rising”, just wait until they emerge on the consumer side. Needless to say, my regular readers are not surprised by any of this, because they were warned in advance that all of this was coming. But for most of the U.S. population, the new reality that we are entering into will come as a major shock. They had been promised a new golden era of prosperity, but instead what they are going to get is a nightmare. -------------------------------------------------------------------- 7 Examples That Show How Completely And Utterly Insane Our SocietyHas Become - by Michael Snyder - http://endoftheamericandream.com/7-examples-that-show-how-completely-and-utterly-insane-our-society-has-become/ Reading the news has become like going to a freak show. You never know what you are going to see each day, but it is almost certainly going to be nutty. Some of the thingsthat I am going to share with you in this article are weird, others are infuriating, but they all point to the same conclusion. From the very top to the very bottom, America is going crazy. And I mean that in the worst way possible. We truly have become an idiocracy, and it seems like those that are the most incompetent of all are often rewarded by being elevated to the top of the food chain. Meanwhile, those of us that still try to approach things rationally are increasingly being pushed to the fringes ofsociety. If you dont understand the point that I am trying to make, hopefully things will become clearer by the time you complete this article. The following are 7 examples that show how completely and utterly insane our society has become #1 At a time when global food supplies are getting tighter andtighter, Joe Biden wants to pay farmers to not grow anything in order to fight climate change President Joe Biden wants to combat climate change by paying more farmers not to farm. But hes already finding its hard to make that work. His Agriculture Department is far behind its goal for enrolling new land in one program that has that goal, with participation being the lowest its been in more than threedecades. Thankfully, relatively few farmers are grabbing the cash that Biden is offering, because prices for agricultural commodities have soared as global supplies have tightened. So in a desperate attempt to get more farmers to sign up, the Biden administration has more than doubled key incentive payments Even though the USDA this summer more than doubled key incentive payments for the program that encourages farmers and ranchers to leave land idle, high commodity pricesare keeping it more worthwhile for growers to raise crops. On top of that, the plan, known as the Conservation Reserve Program, takes land out of production for only 10 to 15 years so those acres could release carbon into theatmosphere if the land is planted again and thus cancel out its environmental benefit. Considering where global trends are heading, paying farmers not to produce food is one of the stupidest things that our government could possibly be doing at this moment. #2 We are now learning that the chaotic evacuation in Afghanistancould have been conducted much, much differently. According to the Washington Post, the Taliban actually offered a deal to the Biden administration that would have allowed the U.S. to secure the entire city of Kabul In a hastily arranged in-person meeting, senior U.S. military leaders in Doha including McKenzie, the commander of U.S. Central Command spoke with Abdul Ghani Baradar, head of the Talibans political wing. We have a problem, Baradar said, according to the U.S. official. We have two options to deal with it: You [the United States military] take responsibility for securingKabul or you have to allow us to do it. Can you imagine how much more orderly the evacuation of Americans and allied Afghans could have gone if U.S. forces had actually secured all of Kabul? Needless to say, ISIS forces would have likely never gotten close enough to bomb the airport. But instead of accepting the opportunity to secure all of Kabul, U.S. officials decided to hand Kabul to the Taliban and crowd everyone that needed to be evacuated intothe airport On the spot, an understanding was reached, according to two other U.S. officials: The United States could have the airport until Aug. 31. But the Taliban would control thecity. It is hard to believe that our officials could actually be this incompetent, but nobody will even be held accountable for this decision because we really do live in an idiocracy. #3 One of the hottest new social media trends is to show offthe fact that your body is inhabited by multiple beings Several TikTok and YouTube accounts of such broken people, who refer to themselves as a host or system of multiple beings, have millions of online followers. They exhibittheir various personalities for online notoriety in the guise of educating and promoting awareness. One TikToker who says she has DID explains in a Q&A about her personalities, I cant force anyone [inside me] to come out but I can communicate very well within the systemand ask someone to come out, but sometimes its very involuntary. Why in the world would millions of online followers want to watch these people manifest their various personalities? And cant most of those followers actually understand what is really going on with these people? #4 A 43-year-old man took his parents to court after they threwout his porn collection. Instead of laughing the case out of court, a judge in Michigan has awarded him more than $30,000 in damages A judge has ordered a western Michigan couple to pay $30,441 to their son for getting rid of his pornography collection. U.S. District Judge Paul Maloneys decision thisweek came eight months after David Werking, 43, won a lawsuit against his parents. According to NBCDFW, He said they had no right to throw out his collection of films, magazines, and other items. Werking had lived at their Grand Haven home for 10 monthsafter a divorce before moving to Muncie, Indiana. The judge followed the value set by an expert, MLive.com reported. The value of the collection was set by an expert? What kind of sick credentials does someone need to become an expert in that field? #5 After denying a transgender student the ability to use aparticular bathroom, a school board in Virginia has been forced to pay out over 1.3 million dollars A Virginia school board will pay more than $1.3 million to the American Civil Liberties Union after losing a court battle involving a transgender student who sued the schoolover its bathroom policy. According to the Virginian-Pilot, the Gloucester County School Board on Thursday agreed to pay the ACLU the full amount of costs and fees associated with its representationof one of its former students, Gavin Grimm, marking the end of a lengthy six-year legal fight. As word of this case spreads around, schools all over the nation will be deathly afraid to ever tell anyone what bathrooms they can or cannot use. Nobody will want to be the next victim to get hit with a million dollar lawsuit, and it probably wont be too long before the boys and girls signs on school bathroomsdisappear entirely. #6 When I was growing up, the American flag was proudly displayedin our classrooms and we said the Pledge of Allegiance every day. But today the American flag is being taken down in classrooms all over America, and one public school teacher in California is urging her students to pledge allegiance toa new flag A Southern California public school teacher was caught admitting to encouraging her students to pledge allegiance to the LGBT pride flag as an alternative to the Americanflag, bragging of the indoctrination on her own TikTok account. The teacher, identified as Kristin Pitzen of Newport Mesa School District in Orange County, recounts taking down the American flag, an then pointing to the LGBT flag asan alternative. We do have a flag in the class that you can pledge allegiance to, said Pitzen when a student asked about the American flag that she had removed from the classroom becauseof COVID. #7 In recent days, Joe Biden has been encouraging officialsall over the country to impose extremely strict vaccine mandates. Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin is insisting that no one should be forced to get a jab Vaccination is the main weapon against the spread of the virus. Importantly, no one should be forced to get a jab. Pressure, where people may lose their jobs, is even lessacceptable. People must be convinced of the need to get the vaccine, he said. When even Vladimir Putin is significantly less tyrannical than the guy that is running your country, you have got a major problem on your hands. When I was growing up, people would risk everything to flee the Soviet Union so that they could experience true freedom in the western world. Could we soon get to a point where Americans are actually fleeing to Russia so that they can live free? It seems like such a bizarre question to ask, but this is how bad things have gotten in the United States. We live in a society where up is now down, good is now bad, and lies are now truth. Our nation has become a giant circus, and the crazies are running the show. It will be entertaining to watch for a little while, but it wont be too long before the entirething comes crashing down on top of all of us. --------------------------------------------------------------- This Is What Is Going To Happen Nationwide In The Not Too Distant Future- by Michael Snyder - http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/this-is-what-is-going-to-happen-nationwide-in-the-not-too-distant-future/ When order really starts breaking down in this country, we know exactly what is going to happen. And the reason why we know exactly what is going to happen is because theexact same pattern keeps playing out every time there is a major disaster or crisis in one of our large cities. Just think about it. Over the past couple of years, violent social justice protests in our major cities have often been accompanied by widespreadlooting. When the Texas power grid went down last winter, there was looting. When wildfires force people from their expensive homes in California, the looters are often the first people that show up. And just about every time there is some sort of a majorstorm, the looters come out of the woodwork. And so it should not surprise anyone that New Orleans is being plagued by looters in the wake of Hurricane Ida. One pair of enterprising looters decided to try to break into an ATM machine, but thanks to a drone they now have become famous all over the country It is not clear if the pair from the drone video were apprehended or got away with any cash from the ATM machine they are seen in the footage trying to pry open. One of the men in the video is seen toying with the machine. Another stands beside him and sees the drone before turning his back and leaving the destroyed business. The video, which was posted to Twitter by WXChasing (Brandon Clement), has yielded 19,100 views and is captioned, The moment looters realize a drone is watching them tryto break into an ATM [machine] in burned down St. Claude market in the lower 9th ward. In other cases, looters were taking a more conventional approach. In another incident, witnesses used their cell phone to record several people looting a store in New Orleans East. Looters often take advantage of disasters like Ida and New Orleans is all too familiar with this as it became a hotbed of criminal activity in the wake of Hurricane Katrina16 years ago. How many times have we seen this sort of chaos break out over the past few years? It is more than I can count, that is for sure. On Tuesday afternoon, authorities in New Orleans pledged to do their best to try to deter mass looting New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell and Police Superintendent Shaun Ferguson held a press conference Tuesday afternoon at City Hall regarding a citywide curfew to deter masslooting and an update on the power situation. Cantrell told reporters, effective immediately (8 pm local time), a citywide curfew will be enforced until 6 am Wednesday. New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) has deployedan anti-looting task force with National Guard members to protect business districts. Sadly, virtually every major city in America is just one major crisis away from a total breakdown of law and order. And when a truly nightmarish national emergency strikes, law and order will break down all over the country. Our blood-soaked culture has become increasingly violent as moral standards have deteriorated across our land, and in many of our core urban areas brutal cold-blooded attacksby groups of heartless criminals have become way too common. A particularly vile attack that happened in Chicago the other day is a perfect example of what I am talking about The video, first posted by the crime website CWB Chicago, initially shows three men beating up another man as traffic crawls past. Another man walks by and is sucker-punchedand falls to the pavement. The group keeps attacking the other man until both are down on the pavement. The attackers then rummage through their pockets, walking with a bag, shoes and other items, the video shows. Women dance in the street while people appear to record the fight. More specifically, the women were twerking as they celebrated the robbing of the innocent victims. If hearts are this cold already, what will things be like when economic conditions get really bad in this country? Yes, there are still millions of Americans out there that try to respect the law, but there are also lots and lots of really twisted people out there. Just today, I came across a news story about how hundreds of decapitated goats have been getting dumped into the Chattahoochee River Channel 2 Action News is investigating headless goats found floating in the Chattahoochee River. Someone has dumped hundreds of decapitated goats over the past few years. Channel 2′s Dave Huddleston cruised up the Chattahoochee River with Jason Ulseth, who works for the environmental group the Chattahoochee Riverkeeper. More than one person has got to be involved in this terrible crime, because on one recent Friday a total of 30 decapitated goats were found in the river As they approached the Interstate 20 bridge near the Fulton County and Cobb County border, Theres a goat, Ulselth said. Channel 2 found a headless goat in the river, then another and another. Lately its become a lot more frequent, and on Friday we were out here and saw 30 of them floating down the river, Ulseth said. Why arent CNN and the other big networks covering this story? You would think that something like this would be good for ratings. Of course the truth is that it doesnt fit any of the agendas that they are currently trying to push. But without a doubt we will hear more about the Delta variant from the major news networks tomorrow, and apparently all of that fear is starting to cause another major runon toilet paper Please dont run straight to the supermarket, but some shoppers are buying up all the toilet paper again. Why is toilet paper always such a high priority when Americans decide that it is time to do some more panic shopping? I will never understand that. In any event, it is being reported that the fear of new lockdowns is causing many to start hoarding toilet paper in bulk This latest rebound in toilet paper demand comes as the delta variant drives COVID-19 cases and deaths up across the U.S., with some folks foreseeing another lockdown. ManyAmericans have used up their stockpiles and some have begun buying again in bulk, The Wall Street Journal reports. If Americans are going to get this crazy over a relatively minor threat like the Delta variant, what in the world are they going to do when truly apocalyptic events beginto take place? COVID is not the worst thing that can happen to us. Not even close. If our society cant even handle COVID, what kind of meltdown would transpire if a much bigger crisis suddenly erupted? You might want to think about that, because many believe that it wont be too long before we actually find out. ----------------------------------------------------------- VISIT: PROPHECY WATCHER WEEKLY NEWS: HTTP://PROPHECY-WATCHER-WEEKLY-NEWS.BLOGSPOT.COM
