WORLD AT WAR: 12.2.23 - Biden About to Betray Israel?

Biden About to Betray Israel? - by Con Coughlin - https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/20177/hostage-deal-hamas While the release of the first groups of hostages held by Hamas has inevitably raised hopes about the fate of the remaining Israeli hostages, it also exposes the Biden administration'sworrying lack of commitment to supporting Israel's declared aim of destroying the Islamist terror group. In the immediate aftermath of Hamas terrorists committing the worst terrorist atrocity in Israel's history on October 7, US President Joe Biden was quick to reassure Jerusalemthat Washington fully supported Israel's right to defend itself. After speaking with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the White House issued a statement declaring: "The United States unequivocally condemns this appalling assault against Israel by Hamas terrorists from Gaza, and I made clear to Prime Minister Netanyahu that we stand readyto offer all appropriate means of support to the Government and people of Israel. "Terrorism is never justified. Israel has a right to defend itself and its people... My Administration's support for Israel's security is rock solid and unwavering." Biden emphasized his commitment to Israel's defense by dispatching two aircraft carrier battle groups to the region to deter other malevolent actors, such as Iran, from seekingto exploit the crisis by escalating the conflict into a broader Middle East war. Seven weeks into Israel's military offensive to destroy Hamas as a military and political entity, the Biden administration now seems to be adopting a very different stance, one where it appears ready to scale down its commitment to supporting Israel's right to self-defense, and destroying Hamas, in favor of a ceasefire deal that would essentially gift victory to Hamas. The Biden administration has made clear that it pressured the Netanyahu government into accepting the Qatar-sponsored hostage deal, which has resulted in a number of Israeliwomen and children being released in exchange for the release of convicted Palestinian terrorists from Israeli prisons. Biden also expressed hope that the four-day "pause" in Israel's military offensive, which is being observed to allow the hostage release deal to take place, might ultimatelylead to a broader ceasefire. Asked by reporters whether the four-day pause could be extended, Biden replied, "I think the chances are real." While conceding that Israel's quest to destroy Hamas was "legitimate", Biden revealed that his administration's key objective was to end the fighting at the earliest availableopportunity. "My expectation and hope is that as we move forward, the rest of the Arab world and the region is also putting pressure on all sides to slow this down, to bring this to anend as quickly as we can," Biden said. Netanyahu has made no secret of his personal reservations about the hostage deal, arguing that any pause in Israel's military offensive would simply allow Hamas to regroup. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), in particular, had been opposed to the deal because they wanted to maintain the pressure against Hamas on the ground in Gaza. Israeli commanders certainly understood the fickleness of Washington's declared support for their military offensive from the start, as Washington has an undistinguished recordof abandoning its Israeli ally in times of peril. During the IDF's military incursions in Gaza in 2009 and 2014, for example, the Israelis were forced to stop fighting within three weeks, with ceasefires brokered on bothoccasions by Egypt and forced on Israel by Washington. Indeed, Washington's willingness to impose ceasefires on Israel when its forces have clearly established a military advantage on the battlefield against their enemies hasbeen a constant feature throughout Israel's 75-year existence. And, judging from the Biden administration's current enthusiasm for a ceasefire, it appears Washington is determined to follow a similar path of appeasement with regard tothe current Gaza crisis, even if the Israeli government remains determined to maintain its offensive until Hamas' terrorist infrastructure in Gaza has been completely eradicated. Israel will certainly be under no illusions about the pitfalls of the hostage deal that has so far resulted in the release of only a small proportion of the estimated 240Israeli hostages seized by Hamas during the October 7 attack. The Israelis will certainly be concerned at the role played by Qatar, which is one of Hamas's main military backers, in the negotiations. While the Qataris like to claim thatthey are simply using their contacts with Hamas to defuse tensions, the fact that Ismail Haniyeh, who masterminded the massacres, directed the attacks from his five-star hotel in Qatar, where he has been granted a safe haven, means the Israelis have everyreason to be wary of Qatar's motives. Israel will also, with good reason, have concerns that the hostage deal as currently constructed, with Israel being obliged to release convicted terrorists in return for innocentIsraeli civilians, will simply bolster Hamas' credentials. The boost Hamas has received from the deal was evident when the first Palestinian prisoners were released from Israeli prisons and returned to their homes in Jerusalem andthe West Bank. IDF soldiers guarding Ofer Prison, near Ramallah, fired tear gas to disperse crowds of Palestinians who chanted "the people want Hamas" while awaiting the release of the firstbatch of 39 convicted Palestinian terrorists. One of the reasons the US and its allies have previously ruled out negotiating with terror groups is that, by doing so, there is a danger of legitimizing the terrorists' activities. The Biden administration's willingness to abandon this long-held principle in favor of negotiating with Hamas, therefore, runs the risk of boosting support for Hamas at thevery time that Israel is actively seeking to destroy the terrorist group, a policy that completely undermines Washington's claim that it supports Israel's right to self-defense. ---------------------------- The United Nothing - By Daymond Duck - https://www.raptureready.com/2023/11/25/the-united-nothing-by-daymond-duck/ I have often referred to the UN (United Nations) as the United Nothing. I have sometimes thought that is too harsh and felt guilty about being so critical. But when I readseveral stories like I have read this morning, I think it is true and well-deserved. Consider the following stories: >On Nov. 15, 2023, Reuters reported that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), an agency that is part of the UN system, said Iran has enriched enough uranium to about60% purity to build at least three atomic bombs, and they constantly call for “Death to Israel” and “Death to the United States.” What has the UN done about this? Very little, if anything. >On Nov. 15, 2023, it was reported that the UN Special Rapporteur on Palestinian Territories told a National Press Club in Australia that Israel’s right to defend itself againstthe Hamas atrocities (rape of women and children, beheading of babies, burning people alive, seizing of hostages, etc.) on Oct. 7th is non-existent because it is an occupying power. She echoed remarks that Russia’s Ambassador to the UN made a week earlier. What will the UN do about this? Probably nothing. >On Nov. 15, 2023, it was reported that Israeli troops raised the Israeli flag over a UN-operated school (it was one of many) that reportedly has been teaching Gaza childrenfor 20 years to hate Jews (many Gaza children have likely grown up to be terrorists, and some may have been involved in the Oct. 7 rapes, beheadings, etc.). During the 20 years that this was going on, what did the UN do to stop this? It looks like the UN ignoredit for 20 years. >On Nov. 15, 2023, Israel reported that dozens of Israeli troops entered Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza, and they found weapons, ammunition, and a tunnel in the basement. It hasbeen common knowledge for several years that Hamas was using hospitals, that there were tunnels under and near them, and that it is a violation of the Geneva Convention and other rules of war. So, what has the UN done about this? As far as I can tell, nothing. >On Nov. 15, 2023, Hezbollah in Lebanon claimed that it had struck eight targets in Israel; this has been going on for years, the UN has troops near Lebanon’s border withIsrael, they know that Hezbollah keeps attacking Israel. So, what has the UN done about it? Very little, if anything. The United Nothing (oops, I mean the United Nations) has been around for more than 70 years, and most people I know believe the world is in a mess. It distorts the truth, is anti-Israel, anti-Christian, and is working to establish a world government that will be the most evil, corrupt failure in human history. There have been reports of UN troops raping women, trafficking in drugs, and more. The U.S. is the largest contributor to the United Nothing, and I truly wonder what U.S. citizens are getting for their money. (More:On Nov. 16, 2023, Florida Gov. DeSantis promised to defund the UN if he is elected Pres. of the U.S.) (More:On Nov. 16, 2023, a spokesman for Netanyahu condemned International agencies and officials (the United Nothing) for allowing Hamas to turn Gaza’s hospitals into terror bases and not doing anything about it. He asked, “Why do you continue to do propaganda forHamas instead of doing your jobs?”) (More:On Nov. 20, 2023, Israel accused the UN and WHO of war crimes for not doing anything about Hamas using their hospitals for their terrorist activities (protection, command centers, storage of weapons, etc.) (My opinion:Globalists who want to establish a world government and let the UN and WHO have authority over it are demonic or mentally ill.) Here are some stories that made the news this week: One, going back to the United Nothing and Nov. 15, 2023 (the sameday as mentioned above): the UN Security Council passed a resolution that calls for “urgent and extended humanitarian pauses and corridors” for “a sufficient number of days” to allow full, rapid, safe, and unhindered access for UN agencies and partners throughoutGaza. The resolution also calls for “the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages held by Hamas and other groups, especially children, as well as ensuring immediate humanitarian access.” Two days later, on Nov. 17, 2023, Joseph A. Klein (author and UN Columnist for the Canadian Free Press) wrote that there are at least three flaws in the resolution: •First, there is no condemnation of Hamas for beheading babies, burning people alive, or any of their other atrocities. •Second, there is no set time limit on the pauses, no definition of what a sufficient number of days means, and everyone knows that lengthy UN-required pauses will give Hamastime to regroup and rearm. •Third, the UN Security Council resolution calls for (but does not require or demand) the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages, and it does not refer to Hamasor any of its terrorist allies as terrorists. So, what does the resolution do? Probably nothing but give the UN, the media, and others grounds to condemn Israel. Here is a link to Klein’s article: https://canadafreepress.com/article/un-security-council-resolution-on-gaza-war-passes-without-condemning-hamas Two, concerning the days of Noah (wickedness) at the end of theage: on Nov. 17, 2023, Memphis, TN, police chief C. J. Davis said crime is out of control in her city. According to Davis, sending in troops will not change anything if the criminals are not kept in jail. (More:On Nov. 18, 2023, it was reported that the mayor of Washington, DC, has declared a public emergency because of the increase in juvenile crime and drug fatalities. The situation is so bad that some residents now call the city a war zone.) Three, concerning deceit and corruption in the White House: onNov. 19, 2023, former speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Kevin McCarthy, said, “The GOP has moved closer to filing an impeachment inquiry into Pres. Biden.” House members believe they have found a lot of proof of shady business dealings by the Biden family, and they have started subpoenaing people. Four, concerning a cashless society and the Mark of the Beast:on Nov. 18, 2023, it was reported that the head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) recently told the world to prepare for Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) to replace cash despite the opposition of some groups. CBDCs will allow the government to track all buying and selling. (Note: Nothing was said about when CBDCs will be rolled out globally, but we were being advised that it iscoming, like it or not. According to the report, more than 100 nations are already exploring the use of CBDCs, and global interest is unprecedented.) (More:On Nov. 21, 2023, Worthy News reported that “The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has launched a virtual handbook on Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) to serve as a reference guide for Central Banks, aiming to facilitate the implementation of CBDCs andthe transition towards a cashless society.”) Five, concerning a deliberate population reduction: on Nov. 19,2023, The Expose reported that the UK government Office for National Statistics recently released data on deaths of those who were never vaccinated for Covid-19 versus those who had been vaccinated; those that had been vaccinated three times (booster); andthose that had been vaccinated four times (double booster). According to the government report, 95% of those who died between June 1, 2022, and May 31, 2023, had been vaccinated, and 94% of those who died during that time had tripleor quadruple vaccinations. Six, concerning climate change and lab-grown meat: on Nov. 21,2023, The New American reported that Italy recently “passed a law prohibiting the production, sale, import, and export of lab-grown meat and other synthetic foods, including the insect-based ones.” Sadly, Italy is the only country to do that. Seven, concerning corruption in the 2020 elections: on Nov. 20,2023, a U.S. District Judge in Georgia ruled that voting machine critics are not conspiracy theorists. Judge Amy Totenberg said there is sufficient reason to believe that the electronic voting machines used by the State of Georgia have substantial flaws.” The case will now wind up in a higher court. Eight, concerning the Battle of Gog and Magog (Russia, Iran, andothers attacking Israel in the latter years and latter days: on Nov. 21, 2023, it was reported that: •The U.S. is concerned that Iran may soon start supplying Russia with ballistic missiles for use in Ukraine. •Russia is helping Iran improve its satellite collection capabilities, and it may start helping Iran improve its missiles, air defense, and military electronics weapons. Nine, concerning the return of Jews to the Promised Land at theend of the age: on Nov. 21, 2023, the head of a major Israeli immigration agency said he expects the current hostilities toward Jews in foreign nations to cause more than one million Jews to relocate to Israel in the coming years. Here are some daily updates on Israel’s war with Hamas: Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023 (Day 41) •Israel found the body of one of the hostages (a 65-year-old mother of five), assault rifles, and RPGs in a building next to the Al-Shifa hospital. •Israel found a tunnel shaft and a booby-trapped vehicle containing many weapons at the Al-Shifa hospital. •Israel showed members of the BBC and a U.S. TV crew guns, bullet-proof vests, laptops, etc., that troops found under bags of medical supplies at Al-Shifa hospital. •Israel is involved in a violent attack at the last functioning hospital in Gaza City. •Israel said they have found tunnels and weapons at three Gaza hospitals. •The head of Iran’s Quds Force (the foreign arm of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corp; IRGC) said, “We will not let Israel defeat Hamas.” •The head of the IRGC warned Israel to expect more surprise attacks like the surprise Hamas attack on Oct. 7, 2023. •Former U.S. Sec. of Defense Mark Esper said, “To ultimately defeat Hamas — you have to prevent their ability to reconstitute their military forces — that means you have todeal with Iran once and for all.” •UK Labor Leader Keir Starmer said, “A ceasefire now will not bring peace.” •Palestinian terrorists shot six Jews in Israel near Jerusalem. Friday, Nov. 17, 2023 (Day 42) •Syria said it shot down several missiles that Israel fired toward the Damascus area. •Syria said Israel fired missiles at a town that has several Iranian-backed militias, and the Israeli missiles hit targets. •Israel found the body of a second hostage near Al-Shifa hospital (a 19-year-old female soldier). •Israel pumped exploding gel into the tunnel at a Gaza hospital and detonated it. Smoke spewed from at least three points along a nearby road. •Israel said it has found underground infrastructure and important information about the hostages; Israel found bombs, mortars, and other weapons in a kindergarten room; andIsrael found weapons at an elementary school. •Israel will not comment on what Israel knows about the hostages because Israel does not want to put them in more danger than they are already in. •Israeli jets struck several Hezbollah targets in Lebanon. •Israel announced the death of one of Hamas’ top political leaders. •The head of Bahrain became the first leader of an Arab nation to condemn Hamas for attacking Israel on Oct. 7 and to demand the release of the hostages. Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023 (Day 43) •All but 5 doctors and 120 patients who are too sick to be moved have left Al-Shifa hospital, and it has been taken over by the Israeli military. •Communications blackouts in Gaza are hampering reporting from there. •Israel intends to expand its operation in Gaza. •Israel will not agree to a ceasefire until all hostages are released. •Biden called for a revitalized PA to take over the Gaza Strip when the war is over. •Prime Min. Netanyahu said Israel didn’t enter Gaza to hand it over to the PA. •Biden called for efforts to achieve the two-state solution when the war is over. (This would divide Jerusalem, give east Jerusalem to the Palestinians, and let them locatethe capital of a Palestinian state there.) Sunday, Nov. 19, 2023 (Day 44) •Israel found a tunnel in a shed at the Al-Shifa hospital complex that is 10 (32.8 ft) meters deep and runs 55 meters (about 180 feet) to a blast-proof door (what is on theother side of that door is unknown). •Israel found laptops at Al-Shifa hospital with video of Oct.7, 2023, hostages on them, and those hostages were at the hospital. •Israel’s war cabinet will meet tonight to discuss an agreement to pause the war for the release of some of the hostages. •An Internationally brokered agreement for the release of some hostages in exchange for an equal number of non-Hamas Palestinians and a pause in the war is looking likely. •The Israeli military released a video that they said shows Hamas terrorists forcibly taking Oct. 7 hostages into the Al-Shifa hospital. •In the past, PA Pres. Mahmoud Abbas has denied the Holocaust, and today, he denied that Hamas attacked Israel on Oct. 7. My question is, why do the UN, U.S., EU, and othersthink Israel should withdraw its troops from the Gaza Strip and allow this man to rule over the area? Monday, Nov. 20, 2023 (Day 45) •About this time (date uncertain), a senior Iranian official said Israel’s war with Hamas will expand to new fronts in the coming days. He said, “The war in Gaza is a warfor control of the region, and it’ll determine the fate of Israel and the fate of the resistance axis, which will play a larger role in the future.” •Israel said its troops came under fire from terrorists inside the Indonesian Hospital in Gaza, and the Israeli troops returned the fire. •Israel accused the UN and WHO of war crimes for not doing anything about Hamas using their hospitals for their terrorist activities (protection, command centers, storageof weapons, etc.). •Hezbollah fired powerful rockets and flew drones from Lebanon into Israel that caused major damage at an Israeli base. (Israel retaliated.) •Cross-border fighting between Hezbollah and Israel is heavier than any time since 2006. •Israel claims that Hezbollah has fired more than 1,000 rockets at Israel since Israel’s war with Hamas began. •An international broadcaster from France released a recorded interview of a British doctor who worked at Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza for three months at some time in the past, and he said when he worked there, he was told that there was a lower ward going down to the basement, it was off-limits to medical staff, and if they went down there, they could be shot. •Israel released video of an explosion they set off in a tunnel that caused several other explosions in the area, indicating a whole network of interconnected tunnels withexplosives inside. •Hamas has 24 battalions of troops in Gaza with about 1,000 terrorists in each battalion, more than 10 battalions have been significantly weakened, the number of missilesthey fire at Israel each day has been drastically cut, and many commanders have been killed. Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2023 (Day 46) •Fighting between Israel and Hamas increased in several areas in northern Gaza. Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023 (Day 47) •Israel agreed to suspend (pause, not end) the war for four days (Hamas said the pause will start at 10 am Nov. 23, 2023), release about 150 Palestinian (no members of Hamas)prisoners, halt aerial surveillance of Hamas six hours per day, allow some fuel deliveries, and more in exchange for the release of 53 Israeli women, children, and elderly hostages in small groups (not all at once) during that four-day period. •Netanyahu said Israel will resume the war when the four days are over, and it will not end until Hamas is destroyed and all prisoners are released. •Other nations should negotiate the release of their own citizens who were taken hostage. •Israel told Palestinians in northern Gaza to use the pause to leave and head south. •Israel said they have found and destroyed 400 tunnel shafts in Gaza since Oct. 7, 2023. FYI: God does not send anyone to Hell (all of us are born witha sin nature and destined to go to Hell because we sin), but God has provided a way (Jesus) for everyone to go to Heaven (and He is the only way to get there; John 14:6). Finally, are you Rapture Ready? If you want to be rapture ready and go to heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3). God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believethat Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and raised from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this. ------------------------- Lies That Generate Hate: The World Is Falsely Depicting Jews As Violent Usurpers By Hal Lindsey - https://harbingersdaily.com/lies-that-generate-hate-the-world-is-falsely-depicting-jews-as-violent-usurpers/ Across the Middle East, children are taught to call the founding of Israel on May 14, 1948, the Nakba, or catastrophe. Their teachers depict Jews as violent usurpers ofthe land. Today in the United States and other western nations, educators are using those same lies on our children. Now the lies that generate hate in the Middle East are generating the same kind of hate here. Al Jazeera is a Qatar-based, global, anti-Semitic, and anti-American news conglomerate. It says, Every year on May 15, Palestinians around the world mark the Nakba, or catastrophe, referring to the ethnic cleansing of Palestine in 1948. Zionist military forces expelled at least 750,000 Palestinians from their homes and lands. Dictionary.com defines ethnic cleansing as, the elimination of an unwanted ethnic group. Today, with well over 3 million Palestinians living in Judea and Samaria, 2 millionliving in Gaza, and another 2 million living in Israel proper, there was clearly never an ethnic cleansing of Palestinians. Al Jazeera also says, Zionist military forces expelled at least 750,000 Palestinians from their homes and lands. That accusation is repeated often, even by the United Nations. In an article called, The Question of Palestine, the United Nations affirms that the birth of modern Israel was a catastrophe. Before the Nakba, the UN article contends, Palestine was a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural society. In other words, theywere one, big happy family until the formation of Israel. The UN article says that in 1947, Jewish militias launched attacks against Palestinian villages forcing thousands to flee. The situation escalated into a full-blown war in1948, with the end of the British Mandate and the departure of British forces, the declaration of independence of the State of Israel and the entry of neighboring Arab armies. The newly established Israeli forces launched a major offensive. The result of thewar was the permanent displacement of more than half of the Palestinian population. Notice the propagandistic wording, pretending that Jewish aggressors launched attacks against Palestinian villages. The word villages carries the connotations of peaceful, benign, and defenseless. But obvious Arab aggression is either not mentioned at all, or heavily downplayed. They list the entry of neighboring Arab armies as one of many reasons war broke out in 1948. But that invasion triggered the war. When Arab armiesinvaded their land, Israel fought back. The war displaced many Palestinians, but not because Israel kicked them out. Arab leaders removed them, promising that if they left, they could shortly return and share inthe plunder after Israels defeat. This historical fact was recently admitted by Palestinian Authority president, Mahmoud Abbas. Speaking for the Palestinians, Abbas said, If you remember that in 1948, when the Nakba, or catastrophe, took place, we werent a party to it. We were taken out, and wewere told, after a week we will return you. Obviously, Israel did not say that to the Palestinians. It was the Arabs. Abbas said the same thing in a Palestinian publication back in 1976. He blamed Arab armies for forcingPalestinians to leave, promising they could shortly return. Today, major publications treat United Nations propaganda as authoritative. But the UN lies, and it does so regularly especially regarding anything that has to do with thenation of Israel. ---------------------------- Against Overwhelming Odds: The Resurgence of Israels Military in Bible Prophecy - By David Reagan - https://harbingersdaily.com/against-overwhelming-odds-the-resurgence-of-israels-military-in-bible-prophecy/ Israel is the major focus of End Time Bible prophecy. Thats the reason that the re-establishment of the nation in the 20th Century was so important. That event signaled thefact that we are now living in the end of the end times. Prophecies Concerning Israel During the 20th Century, we were privileged to witness God beginning to fulfill in whole or in part seven prophecies regarding the Jewish people: 1) The regathering of the Jews from the four corners of the earth(Isaiah 11:10-12). Theodor Herzls book, The Jewish State, published in 1896, helped motivate Jewish migration back to Israel. There were 40,000 Jews in Palestine in 1900. Today, there are over 7 million in the land of Israel. 2) The re-establishment of the state of Israel (Ezekiel 37:21-22).This prophecy was fulfilled on May 14, 1948, when the Israeli Declaration of Independence was proclaimed in Tel Aviv. 3) The reclamation of the land (Ezekiel 36:34-35). When the Jewsstarted returning to the land just over 100 years ago, it was a malaria-infested swampland that had been denuded of all its forests. Today, it produces food in abundance, and the forests have been replanted. 4) The revival of the Hebrew language (Zephaniah 3:9 and Jeremiah31:23). When the Jews were scattered worldwide, they stopped speaking Hebrew. But in the 1800s, God raised up a Lithuanian Jew named Eliezer Ben-Yehuda to resurrect the language from the dead. Hebrew now predominates as one of the three official languagesof Israel. 5) The re-occupation of the city of Jerusalem (Zechariah 8:4-8).When the Israeli War of Independence ended in 1949, the Old City of Jerusalem was under Jordanian occupation. The Israelis reclaimed the city during the Six-Day War on June 7, 1967. 6) The resurgence of the Israeli military (Zechariah 12:6). Eventhough Israel is one of the smallest nations, its military is considered one of the top ten in the world. 7) The re-focusing of world politics on the nation of Israel and its city of Jerusalem(Zechariah 12:2-3). Today world attention is focused on Israel and Jerusalem as has been abundantly evident in late 2023. Military Power in Prophecy From its humble beginnings in 1948, the Israeli military has become a highly professional and capable force. The prophet Ezekiel referred to the revival of Israel in the last days as producing an exceedingly great military force (Ezekiel 37:10). Zechariah was more specific, prophesyingthat God would make the clans of Judah like a firepot among pieces of wood and a flaming torch among sheaves and enable them to consume on the right hand and on the left all their enemies (Zechariah 12:6). He proceeded to state that in the end times, thenation will be so strong that the one who stumbles among them in that day will be like David, and the house of David will be like God, like the angel of Yahweh before them (Zechariah 12:8). Lets look now at the [first of the] major conflicts of the past that offer evidence of the fulfillment of these prophecies. The War of Independence (November 1947 March 1949) On November 29, 1947, the United Nations adopted a resolution providing for the ending of the League of Nations Mandate for Palestine, replacing British rule with a partitionof the land that would result in the creation of two states, one Jewish and the other Arab. Jews worldwide were elated, even though the territory they were offered was merely a portion of what they had been promised in the British Balfour Declaration of 1917. Butthe Arabs were outraged because they wanted all the land of Palestine. They immediately launched a civil war that continued right up to the day that the Jews issued their declaration of independence on May 14, 1948. The surrounding Arab nations repeatedly warned that they would attack in mass if the Jews declared independence. For example, the Secretary General of the Arab League, AzzamPasha, declared, It will be a war of annihilation. It will be a momentous massacre in history that will be talked about like the massacres of the Mongols or the Crusades. On the Jewish side, there was considerable concern that such boasting could become a reality. Thus, on the eve of the war, Yigael Yadin, the Chief of Staff of the Israeliforces, told David Ben-Gurion, the Jewish leader, The best we can tell you is that we have a 50-50 chance. The fears materialized within hours of the declaration of independence when five Arab armies (Egypt, Transjordan, Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq) attacked the new nation. At thetime, Israel had only 30,000 rag-tag fighters who were ill-trained and poorly equipped. The Arab armies, particularly the Jordanians, were well-trained and equipped with aircraft, tanks, and modern artillery. Transjordans army was even led by British officersunder the command of General John Glubb. President Harry Truman officially recognized the new state of Israel immediately, but his Administration refused to provide any aid under the naive assumption that it wouldhelp avert bloodshed. Britain openly supplied arms to the Arabs, while Israel had to smuggle surplus weapons from Eastern Europe. But despite the overwhelming odds against them, the infant Jewish state prevailed, albeit at enormous cost. 6,377 Israelis were killed nearly one percent of the population(equivalent to an American loss today of 3.4 million!). In the end, Israelis controlled not only the territory allotted to them by the UN but also 60% of the area that had been proposed for an Arab state. The only key area that the Israelis were unable toconquer was the Old City of Jerusalem. Overall, the war represented a miraculous victory for Israel. --------------------------- The Hard Work of The IDF Continued with Amazing Success Until Now By Amir Tsarfati - https://harbingersdaily.com/amir-tsarfati-the-hard-work-of-the-idf-continued-with-amazing-success-until-now/ (Galilee, Israel) Once again, this has been a week filled with difficulties and some victories. I have found myself reliving October 7 over and over each and every day asI hear the reports of victims, eyewitnesses, and those members of the media who were given opportunities to relive the aftermath. I watched as a 24-year-old girl went back to where she hid for her life at the music festival while she watched one friend afteranother executed with a bullet to the forehead. I saw one British reporter, emotionally overwhelmed at the video evidence he was shown, marveling that anyone could say these atrocities never took place. I heard Israels first lady, Michal Herzog, tell of evidenceof young women who were raped so violently that their pelvic bones were broken. God, heal this nation. Our spirit is strong, but inside we are broken. The ferreting out of the Hamas infrastructure has continued through the past week. Al-Shifa hospital has been a primary target because the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) mustgo to where the enemy is. The terrorists were the ones who chose to base their operations in tunnels below essential humanitarian targets. Any innocent lives who may be caught up in the battles are the result of the evil combatants who drew the war to thehospital. They are not the fault of the Israeli forces who warned all civilians ahead of time that they were coming, so as to minimize any collateral damage. Not only has the fight been forced to al-Shifa, but the Indonesian hospital in Gaza has been fullyevacuated in preparation for destruction. Once again, it is not because the IDF is trying to destroy the Gazans medical infrastructure. It is because Hamas converted its primary use from a place of healing to human shield. The hard work of the IDF continued with amazing success . . . until now. A ceasefire in Gaza has gone into effect. Brokered by Qatar, with much input and influence from the U.S., this timeout in the war is ostensibly designed for the freeing of50 kidnapped Israeli hostages and the release of 150 Gazan prisoners. Over four days, it is expected that 10-12 hostages will be returned home per day. As part of the deal, Israel will allow around 300 aid trucks per day to enter Gaza from Egypt. Fuel willalso be transferred across the border. In addition, from 10:00 AM through 4:00 PM each day, Israel has agreed to stop surveillance flights over Gaza. I believe this has been a very difficult decision for Prime Minister Netanyahu and his administration. The whole reason the kidnappings took place to begin with was so thatinnocent Israelis could be used as bargaining chips when Hamas inevitably faced military difficulties. It was a plan that is now about to perfectly come into fruition. Northern Gaza is being razed to the ground. Hamas leadership is either cornered or dead. What to do? Pull out your ace card. In the Palestinian terrorist mind, they know that Israelis value life and want to see their fellow citizens safe. Theyll do almost anything to see it happen. Theyll evenstop fighting when they are on the verge of decimating Hamas. Not only that, but they will go intelligence-dark for six hours a day so that the terrorists can rescue their trapped leadership and secretly shift all the puzzle pieces around so they are readyto fight again. For two weeks, the Israeli leadership has said, No, we wont agree to a ceasefire. But, as I just said, Israelis value life. In the past, there was a time we traded 1,027Palestinian prisoners for a single Israeli soldier. There were consequences then, and there will be consequences now. For the sake of those innocent hostages, Netanyahu and the IDF are willing to face those consequences. The Prime Minister has made it clearthat when the cease-fire ends, the military will resume prosecuting this war with the same level of vigor as before. He has also informed Israels citizens that he has instructed the Mossad to eliminate the leaders of Hamas wherever they are. In the north, the semi-quiet battle in Lebanon continues. Hezbollah sends rockets and suicide UAVs, some of which sneak through the Iron Dome defenses and cause minimal damage. The Israeli Air Force has been striking in and around Damascus, as well as other places throughout the country such as near Tyre. Hassan Nasrallah, leader of Hezbollah, still seems hesitant to go all in with a war against Israel, which is a very wise decisionon his part. In Iraq, the U.S. remains on alert as Iranian proxies regularly attack American bases in the area, particularly those around oil fields. On Tuesday, 10 U.S. soldiers werewounded as the result of a missile attack on the Ain Al Assad base in Iraq. In retaliation the next morning, the U.S. attacked the Al Hashd Al Shaabi organization, an Iranian proxy militia, killing six of the terrorists missile unit. Not all the world news is negative. Argentina just voted in a libertarian, populist president, Javier Millei. When the far-left socialist leaders of some other South Americannations lament his win by saying that it is a victory for fascism and neo-conservatism, you know that he likely is a guy worth celebrating. There is hope that his capitalist approach will help alleviate Argentinas struggling economy. Also, in a vote on Wednesday in the Netherlands, the right-leaning parties made significant gains. With his platform of shutting down the border and leaving the EU, it appearsthat Geert Wilders will now find himself in the prime ministers seat. Wilders is a staunch supporter of Israel who not only wants to move the Netherlands embassy to Jerusalem, but also advocates closing the Dutch diplomatic post in Ramallah. I have been given a tremendous opportunity to speak to a number of U.S. congressional members this coming week about the situation in Israel. I am flying today to Washington,D.C., where I have been invited to several venues to speak to senators, congressmen, and other political influencers. Please pray for safety and impact. Pray that the meetings take place, as congressional members are often called away for various reasons atthe last minute. Pray that the Lord gives me wisdom in thought and clarity in my words as I seek to give them insight into what my people are facing in Israel. Most importantly, please pray for protection for my family while I am gone. My country is stillat war, and if I didnt feel that this was clearly a door that God has opened I would not be leaving the side of my wife and children. --------------------------- Aid to Hamas and the Palestinian Authority must stop - Bill Wilson www.dailyjot.com The Democrats and the leftist world were livid when President Donald Trump announced August 24, 2018 that all aid to the Palestinian Authority (PA) would be stopped. Thatmeant that some $200 million per year that was stuffing the coffers of terrorists and terrorist sponsors would no longer be coming from the pockets of hard-working, law-abiding, peace-loving American taxpayers. One of the many reasons for cutting the fundingwas the slay for pay program where the PA incentivized martyrdom by paying pensions to families of dead terrorists. Another reason was that the money, while earmarked for humanitarian support, was allowing the purchase of military weapons used for terrorism. On August 24, 2018, the State Department said, At the direction of President Trump, we have undertaken a review of U.S. assistance to the Palestinian Authority and in theWest Bank and Gaza to ensure these funds are spent in accordance with U.S. national interests and provide value to the U.S. taxpayer. As a result of that review, at the direction of the president, we will redirect more than $200 million originally plannedfor programs in the West Bank and GazaThis decision takes into account the challenges the international community faces in providing assistance in Gaza, where Hamas control endangers the lives of Gazas citizens and degrades an already dire humanitarian andeconomic situation. In other words, the funding was ended because the money was supporting terrorism rather than humanitarianism. Then came Biden. Since Biden took office, he has acted decisively to send millions to the Palestinians and billions to Iran, which funds all terrorist groups seeking thedemise of Israel. On July 14, 2022, the White House announced its intention to support the Palestinian people with new contributions totaling $316 million. The announcement said, This is on top of the more than half a billion dollars the United States hasprovided to the Palestinian people since the Biden Administration restored much needed funding to the Palestinians. In March 2021 the Biden Administration gave $15 million to vulnerable Palestinian communities to help fight COVID-19. A day later, it notifiedCongress that it will give the Palestinians $75 million for economic support, to be used in part to regain their trust and goodwill after the Trump-era cuts. On September 11, the Biden Administration announced that it was unfreezing $6 BILLION to Iran in a deal to free four American prisoners. Less than a month later, Israelis attacked. The State Department says the money had nothing to do with the attacks. There was no such attack when Trump cut their funding. But with an influx of cash, which also signals political support, the terrorists were emboldened to unleash their barbarism. The Biden Administration wants to denounce terrorism and reward terrorism by sending it money in the name of humanitarian aid. Psalm 35:12, They rewarded me evil for good to the bereavement of my soul. They take our hard-earned money and give it to evildoers, who kill the innocents, enslave and do harm to their own people, and enrich themselves in the process. Aid paid to Hamas and the PA must stop.
