U.S. Military Warned of Possible Attacks

Finnish Church Votes for Same-Sex Marriage
Thousands of people have resigned from the Lutheran Church in Finland, after the nation's parliament approved a same-sex marriage law. The resignation frees the individuals from obligatory church membership taxes, which is where the majority of the Lutheran Church's income comes from. Lima Conference Set to 'Write History'
At the opening of the climate conference in Lima, Peru, a senior UN official warned that the International Community "must write history" on climate action and build momentum towards a new universal agreement to be adopted in 2015. "We must act with urgency," said Christiana Figueres, the Executive Secretary of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

Jordan Pushing for UN Resolution
Jordan has launched a bid to win backing for UN resolution on a final Israeli-Palestinian settlement that could be presented to the Security Council in the coming weeks. If a consensus can be reached, a draft resolution could be presented to the council later this month or in January. The PA has been pushing for a draft resolution that calls for ending the "Israeli occupation" by November 2016.
