 If you have ever spent any time studying Daniel's seventy-weeks prophecy you might have been somewhat annoyed by the first seven weeks.

 

"Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times."(Da 9:25)

 

Frankly, it seems to just be dangling there without a purpose.  Most prophecy teachers simply add the two together to make sixty-nine weeks without saying much about why it is "seven and threescore and two (62)." Well, this bothered Newton too. He explained the odd seven weeks as referring to the second coming, after a future restoration of Israel which had not yet occurred! He explained the verse in this way:

 

Know also and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to cause to return and to build Jerusalem, unto the Anointed the Prince, shall be seven weeks.

 

The former part of the Prophecy related to the first coming of Christ, being dated to his coming as a Prophet; this being dated to his coming to be Prince or King, seems to relate to his second coming. There, the Prophet was consummate, and the most holy anointed: here, he that was anointed comes to be Prince and to reign. For Daniel's Prophecies reach to the end of the world; and there is scarce a Prophecy in the Old Testament concerning Christ, which doth not in something or other relate to his second coming. If divers of the antients, as Irenæus, Julius Africanus, Hippolytus the martyr, and Apollinaris Bishop of Laodicea, applied the half week to the times of Antichrist; why may not we, by the same liberty of interpretation, apply the seven weeks to the time when Antichrist shall be destroyed by the brightness of Christ's coming?[i]

 

He puts the first seven in the future after the second rebuilding of Jerusalem. Jerusalem was reclaimed by Israel during the Six Days War in June of 1967. Recall that in the seventy-weeks paradigm, the "seven" is seven weeks of years which is (7 x 7) forty-nine years. T. W. Tramm explains a remarkable concurrence:

 

June 7, 1967 falls in the Hebrew year 5727, adding forty-nine prophetic years to this date we arrive in the Hebrew year 5776, which is 2015 on the Gregorian calendar. Interestingly, if one counts exactly forty-nine (360 day) prophetic years (17,640 days) from the June 7, 1967 date of Jerusalem's recapture, we arrive at September 23, 2015-the Day of Atonement! Coincidence?[ii]

 

We verified this remarkable match but we also noted that if one counts 49 x 365 days for solar years, one lands in 2016 which corresponds nicely with historical approach of AD 756 the acceding of temporal power to the pope plus 1260 derived from Revelation 11:3. Although no man knows the day or hour, it is hard to ignore the remarkable preponderance of prophecy pointing to the period we have entered.

Friday August 13th 2004 is a date Floridians will remember for a long time. Hurricane Charley struck S.W. Florida with 145 mph. winds and torrential rains causing a 50 mile wide path of destruction beginning on the Gulf coast and exiting on the Atlantic coast. I lived 30 miles inland in central Florida at the time. A family member living one mile from the Gulf of Mexico called me just as the storm was beginning to hit there. They told me that the winds and rains were unbelievable and it was getting very bad down there. After we hung up, I went outside and took a look around....knowing Charley would arrive in a few hours

 

I was struck by the calm of the lake I lived on, the puffy clouds dotting the blue sky, and the lack of any wind. Just a few hours later, the sky turned dark, the winds picked up, and torrential rain battered my home. The contrast between the calm earlier in the day and Charley's 90-100 mph. winds was unbelievable. When the sun rose the next morning, it exposed all of the damage and destruction Charley left the day before. I won't forget the calm weather, numerous warnings to get ready, and apathy of many citizens....just days before the approaching storm. I believe we are living in the days of relative calm before the storm.......the coming storm of birth pains and God's divine judgement.

 

 1 Thessalonians 5:2   For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, "There is peace and security," then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief. For you are all children of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness. So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober.

 

For the most part, people in our time remind me of the people we read about in Noah's day. Despite warning after warning...they go about their life like they have no one to answer to. Noah warned of impending judgement and the flood came. Prophets warned of coming judgement and the Babylonian armies conquered. Jesus warned about the coming destruction in Jerusalem and just a few decades later, Jerusalem was in ruins as was the temple.

 

Here we are now in our modern world....with all of it's comforts, luxuries, and diversions. Everything is going on just as it always has. Our generation has been witness to wars, disasters, and economic uncertainty. Most people view these events as just another link in the chain of history. Although we face major issues, things always die down and return to normal. Wars eventually come to an end. Evil dictators and rulers eventually die. The financial markets always bounce back. Natural disasters eventually run their course and recovery efforts restore a sense of normality to life.

 

Take the broad view of our world right now. Sure...there is conflict, there is suffering, and there are pockets of violence. We have displaced people looking for refuge in safe areas. There are sporadic acts of terrorism. The economy is fluctuating wildly and we have nations threatening other nations. In all reality......things look pretty normal. For the most part, people have the same thoughts and opinions about the current world condition. They believe this is the way it's always been. They reason that everything always returns to normal. They feel like this life has it's ups and downs but everything will work out just fine.

 

It's like most people in our day are collectively thinking the same thing about the future: "We have peace and safety."

 

People...especially here in the West have been warned through the faithful preaching, teaching, and witnessing of believers. They have been warned about God's holiness, His wrath, and the coming judgement He will pour out on an un-repentant world. They have been warned over and over again. Unfortunately....a majority of these warnings are laughed at, forgotten, or ignored. Some people do respond with a contrite repentant heart that trusts in Jesus for salvation, but a majority do not. The signs pointing to the nearness of the Lord's return are everywhere, but most people live as though He's not coming back.

 

Even more telling about the times we live in is the rampant apathy even among some Christians regarding the Lord's return. Where does this 'I could care less attitude' come from? I don't believe it's from ignorance because there are countless verses in the Bible pertaining to the end times. These people choose to gloss over words like:  Rapture (teaching about it), 70th Week, Great Tribulation, birth pains, beginning of sorrows, etc.

 

That is a shame because I believe....the amount of weight or esteem a Christian gives eschatology will greatly impact the way he or she evangelizes, disciples, and lives a life of holiness. We know the Master is away but He is coming back soon and we will have to give an account for how we spent our lives here.

 

2 Peter 3:3   knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires. They will say, "Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation." For they deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God, and that by means of these the world that then existed was deluged with water and perished. But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the Day of Judgment and destruction of the ungodly.

 

We have scoffers both inside and outside the church who choose to ignore His warnings. The warnings have been sounded almost everywhere. In just the last century, we have seen the Bible translated and distributed to many languages and countries. Can you imagine that? Many around the globe that were previously living in darkness now have the word of God in their own language. Now only a shrinking number of people groups and dialects await the good news.

 

Let's connect the dots regarding our current global situation: People are being warned about coming judgement. Just like the example of the hurricane warnings that went up as Hurricane Charley approached Florida, individuals must decide how to respond to the warnings of what is coming. Apathy.....especially spiritual apathy is destructive. Neglect God's warnings and terrible consequences follow as history shows in Noah's day, Sodom, Jerusalem 586BC - AD70, and even now.........the warnings in the Bible are largely ignored. This world has had the last 2,000 years to consider the words of Jesus as He warned us of what is coming in the days ahead.

 

Luke 17:26   Just as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the days of the Son of Man. They were eating and drinking and marrying and being given in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. Likewise, just as it was in the days of Lot-they were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building, but on the day when Lot went out from Sodom, fire and sulfur rained from heaven and destroyed them all- so will it be on the day when the Son of Man is revealed.

 

Decent people see all of the hurt, pain, and atrocities committed by evil people and we ask: "How could God allow such a thing?" Please understand this: Nothing that happens has escaped God's watchful eyes. He isn't ignoring suffering or evil, but is patiently waiting for the last church age person to come to salvation. There is a day coming and I believe we are quickly approaching it....when God will pour out His holy righteous judgement on a wicked, evil, unrepentant world. Ultimately, everyone who hasn't come to repentance and made Jesus their Lord will stand before the Great White Judgement Throne of God and face eternal judgement.

 

Between then and now, we don't know how much time will elapse although we are seeing end time prophecy increasingly fulfilled. Russia and it's military are forging alliances and conducting movements that place it on a collision course with the God of the universe. Iran has called for the destruction of Israel and the US and by our actions, we are helping to procure the armaments to act on their threats. China and North Korea are arming to the teeth and destabilizing the entire Asia-Pacific region. The global economy is increasingly volatile and some are calling for a global currency. The Russians and Chinese are calling for replacement of the dollar as the world's standard currency.

 

We are certainly living in perilous times and we are seeing the birth pains and signs of the times increase in severity and frequency. Many people in the world are going about daily life either oblivious to the fact judgement is coming or they just don't believe it.

 

Harry (R) Truman was the caretaker of the Mount St. Helens Lodge on Spirit Lake. He received numerous warnings from officials that the longtime dormant volcano was on the verge of eruption. Scores of residents, campers, hikers, and park rangers evacuated the area. Harry refused to leave and on May 18th 1980 the mountain exploded with fury and he was vaporized by the pyroclastic blast of the volcano. Just like Harry....people ignore hurricane warnings, tsunami warnings, and other warnings about impending danger and pay a terrible price.

 

Countless millions of people are ignoring Jesus' warnings about coming judgement. They need to be told about God's holy law, sin, judgement, salvation, and repentance before it's too late. They are collectively believing: "peace and safety" when we are in the calm before the storm.

My dear friends, no doubt that such a thought on this "established" topic is bound for harsh criticism by those who hold strongly to their Daniel 9:27 position... but... here we go.... My dear friends, the key to understanding Daniel 9:27 is found in the 1260 day ministry of the Two Witnesses, which takes place in the first half of the seven year tribulation (Rev. 11:1-13). Leave these Two out or diminish them at all and the whole prophetic text of Daniel 9:27 falls apart. Many fine biblical scholars throughout the years have suggested in this passage that it will be the anti-Messiah - who will make a covenant with the many (an abundance) - which also includes the nation of Israel and will bring shalom and security to the nation of Israel by adding his mighty strength (gabar) to it (Ezek. 38: 38:8,11, 12, 14, 39:26, Dan. 9:27).

 

In this text it never refers to Daniel's people or to the nation of Israel. It just points out that his covenant will be with an abundance of peoples (Dan. 9). These scholars have also believed that it will be through this covenant with the Anti- Messiah that the Jews in Israel will be able to rebuild a temple on the Temple Mount, which is at present one of the greatest holy sites in the Islamic world (Dan. 9:27). The Jews WILL indeed rebuild the temple at this time, but not in light of any treaty or covenant made with the anti-Messiah. It will be the Two Witnesses who will begin the re-institution of the daily scarifies and oblations, which will cease after their ministry for 1290 days because of Satan's Anti-Christ (Dan. 9:27, 12:11, Matt, 24:15, 2 Thess. 2:3-4, Rev. 11:1-2) and then begin again under the Messiah for a thousand years in the Kingdom Age (Ezek. 40-48); which will also point back to Messiah's perfect atoning work. These also through those sacrifices will begin to teach secular Israel their desperate need for repentance, propitiation and salvation dressed in sackcloth and that the returning King of Israel and Savior of the world is now at hand (Isa. 53, Dan. 2: 44-45, 7:13-14, 9:27, 12:11, Matt. 24:15, Mark 13:14, John 1:29, Rom. 10:2-4, 2 Thess. 2:4, 1 John 4:10, Rev. 11:1-2)!

 

Dear friends, I would like for you to hear me out on before you cast me aside as an apostate. Read this post in its entirety and looked at the Scripture references and see for yourself how absolutely crucial it is to NOT explain away or neglect the place of position that the Two Witnesses have in the first half of the seven year tribulation (Rev. 11).

 

In the Daniel 9:27 "covenant" it is suggested by many that the anti - Messiah will broker a "sound peace deal" on Israel's behalf and will be able to totally stop all Islamic and world aggressions against her. Many have taken great liberties on this Bible verse over the years, even to the point of leaving out or theorizing around the fact that the world at this time will be experiencing HORRIFIC EXPONENTIAL desolation via the Seal and Trumpet Judgments (Dan. 9:27, Matt. 24:4-8, Mark 13:5-8, Luke 21:8-11, Rev. 6-9).  These preach that the anti-Christ during this first half (3 1/2 years) of the tribulation will be fully able to override such EXPONENTIAL Divine judgments and still have power to protect Israel from all harm; even to the point that Israel's cites dwell without walls and in total safety (Ezek. 38:8,11, 12, 14, 39:26, Dan. 9:27).  My friends, such thoughts and theories now in the light of our EXPONENTIAL technological day with the world's GREAT weapons of mass destruction cannot hold any water. This Daniel 9:27 theory has been the standard template of many fine biblical scholars for a very long time.I totally believe the key to seeing Daniel 9:27 righty is found in rightly understanding the Two Witnesses earthly ministry which takes place in the first 1260 days of the seven year tribulation (Rev. 11:1-13). What is absolutely amazing to me is how little is stated about these Two MIGHTY Witnesses of Almighty God and their TOTAL AUTHORITY and POWER over ALL nations during the first half of the seven year tribulation (Rev. 11:3-13).

 

These Two Witnesses are usually made light of and are mentioned secondary in light of the theory that the ant- Messiah will be the dominate player in the first half of the seven year tribulation period. This is a great flaw and a huge oversight with great consequences to sound prophetic truths that pertain to that Day (Rev. 6-11). It is my own personal opinion that when these Two are set aside and neglected as they often are, the whole prophetic perspective of Daniel 9:27 falls flat on its face. The anti-Christ WILL indeed make a covenant with many (an abundance) which will start the 70th week of Daniel, but I truly believe that it will be made against Israel and not for her. As we are at the end of the age we can see clearer than ever what others could not ever see. All of today's evidence shows that there is a united global effort and movement (including the USA) to use the EXPONENTIAL advances of human technology to subtly and stealthily go after Israel and annihilate her (Zech. 3:1-2, Eph. 2:1-2, 6:12). Even now Israel's back is against the wall on the world stage and without Almighty God's Divine interceding at "that moment in time" - after the Rapture of the body of Christ/Messiah - when the Daniel 9:27 covenant is strengthened by "the prince to come", Israel would indeed perish. It is my personal belief - based on sound Scripture evidence - that the Two Witnesses of Revelation will be sent to Israel as this covenant is confirmed and will then protect Israel for the first 1260 days of the seven year tribulation period (until the midst of the week) from all global satanic aggression and will preach repentance unto her (Ezek. 38: 38:8,11, 12, 14, 39:26 Rev. 11:3-13).

 

My dear friends, a few more key points and challenges I would like to make to Bible scholars is for them to see how many times the person of the "Anti-Christ" is found in the first half of the seven year tribulation period in comparison to the second half. The passages referring to the anti- Christ in the second half of the seven year tribulation are much more abundant and display him in a place of total global dominance and authority, while in the first half he is lightly esteemed. The Anti Christ/Messiah does NOT come to ABSOLUTE TOTAL power UNTIL AFTER the 1260 day ministry of the Two Witnesses is completed, which will start the second half of the seven year tribulation period - (Rev. 11:3-7,13:1-5); thus he will be absolutely no match for Almighty God's Two Witnesses' ministry nor the dominant man of power as many make him to be during the first half of the seven year tribulation period. There are only a few places in which we find the Anti Christ in the first half of the seven year tribulation period and in all cases it is a place of secondary standing (Dan.9:26-27, Rev. 17:8, 10, 11, 2 Thess. 2:3, 6-8).

 

The Two Witnesses of Almighty God - will be at this time GREAT BURNING lights of Divine REALITY and TRUTH unto Israel and the entire world (Rev. 11:3-6). In a post unregenerate church age world (Rev. 6-16) because of the Rapture of the Body of Christ - John 14:3, 1 Cor, 15:51-57, 1 Thess. 4:13-18, 2 Thess. 2:5-8, 1 John 3:1-4,  Rev. 4:1), these Two will ABSOLUTELY DOMINATE the first half of the seven year tribulation period with ALL AUTHORITY, POWER, SIGNS and WONDERS (Rev. 11:3-6). In Revelation 11:3-6 we see the ABSOLUTE TREMENDOUS POWER that these Two Individuals can wield upon the godless nations of the world; including against Gog (the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal), the land of Magog and his confederacy (Ezek. 38-39). Whosoever opposes their Divine ministry for Israel and are for her total destruction will be immediately dealt with (Rev. 11:3-6). During their Divine ministry they will absolutely TORMENT the world for 1260 days and will be totally UNDEFEATABLE at this time  (Rev. 11:3-10)! No wonder that after their 1260 days are fulfilled and then murdered at the hand of the beast that the satanically driven world will greatly rejoice with exceeding joy and give gifts to each other as they now proclaim in its right season (Rev. 11:7-13), "Who is like unto the beast? Who is able to make war with him (Rev. 11:7-10, 13:4)?" It will be this common bond of hatred towards Almighty God's Two Witnesses that will be the common tie that binds all nations against the established REALITY of Almighty God's RIGHTEOUS Person, His call to global repentance and the 666 alliance of desolation under the resuscitated Anti-Christ (Dan. 9:27, Matt. 24:15, Rev. 11:3-17, Rev. 13; Rev. 17:7-17).

 

One more point I would like to write about and it is about is the nation of Israel during this time. The nation of Israel WILL dwell in total safety and unwalled villages during the 1260 day ministry of Almighty God's Two Witnesses unto the point that all manner of national security, technological and armed forces will not be needed (Ezek. 38:8,11, 12, 14, 39:26, Matt. 24:15-20, Mark 13:14-18, Luke 21:20-24, Rev. 11:3-6). Israel during this first half of the seven year tribulation will dwell in complete safety and in unwalled villages (Ezek. 38:8,11, 12, 14, 39:26) because of the Divine protection of Almighty God's Two Witnesses (Rev. 11:2-6). With the Two Witnesses of Revelation's POWERFUL Divine ministry, why would Israel ever need the Pre-Revelation 13 anti- Messiah of the Daniel 9:27 theory to bring them security, peace and safety? No human or even the devil himself can bring about that type of protection from the godless driven nations of the world as history has overwhelmingly proven. The Almighty ABSOLUTELY REIGNS in the affairs of fallen man and the devil must always submit to Almighty God's ETERNAL plan and purpose for all nations. At this time Almighty God's ETERNAL plan and good purpose will be to protect unbelieving Israel and seek her to repent to the saving knowledge of the Lamb of God via His Two Witnesses (Ex. 19:5, Job 1:6-12, Psalm 75:6-7, 103:19, Dan. 2:37, 4:17, 25, 32, 5:21, Zech. 3:2, Matt. 28:18-20, Rom. 13:1-5, 1 Peter 5:11, Rev. 4, Rev. 5, Rev. 6:1, 17:17). It will be during this time that Israeli hating nations, their possessions of GREAT weapons of mass destruction, their super abounding technological advances and Satan's 24/7/365 media machine cannot over ride nor tear down Almighty God's Divine hedge of protection for Israel while the Two Witnesses' ministry is reigning supreme (Rev. 11:3-6).

 

It will be under the Divine protective hedge of Almighty God's Two Witnesses that Israel will thrive (Ezek. 38:10-13) while the gentile nations and world are absolutely ravished by the Seal and Trumpet Judgments (Matt 24:4-8, Mark 13:5-8, Luke 21:8-11, Rev. 6-9). All these EXPONENTIAL evils upon the gentile nations in the first half of the seven year tribulation period are called the birth pangs by Jesus and he mentions to Israelis who dwell in TOTAL security at this time that they will "hear" of these horrific events but the end is not yet (Matt. 24:6, Mark 13:7, Luke 21:7)! However, what is most horrifically tragic at this time will be Israel's heart while under Almighty God's Divine protective hedge. Tragically the overwhelming majority of Jews WILL REJECT the Two Witnesses' (Moses and Elijah) Divine call to repentance unto Yeshua, the Lamb of God, Savior and Messiah, the King of Israel (Deut. 4:30, 31:29, Ezek. 39:26, Rev. 11:8, 12:17).

 

The heart of Jerusalem at the end of the Two Witnesses' 1260 day ministry will be totally exposed and identified as rebellious, hard hearted, unrepentant and described as spiritual Sodom and Egypt (Rev. 11:8); now totally ready and ripe for Almighty God's Divine judgment and the prophetic fulfillment of Jacob's Trouble (Deut. 4:30, 31:29, Jer. 30:18, Ezek 39:26, Dan. 9:27, 11: 45, 12:1, 11, Zech 13:8-9, 14:1-2, Matt. 24:15-19, Mark 13:14-19, Luke 21:20-24, Rev. 12, Rev. 13).. The same Bible text also points out that this same city - when Almighty God sent His own people His dearly beloved Son, crucified Him and rejected Him; Who was their Messiah, Savior and King and - i.e. the ETERNAL Son of Almighty God (Isa. 52:13-15, 53, Matt. 21:33-45, 23:37-39, 27: 24-25, 27:1-54, Luke:13:33, John 1:10-12). Just with that perspective given by the Holy Spirit we can totally see that under the Two Witnesses' (i.e. God's Candlesticks) ministry that they will find GREAT hostility by Israeli leadership and the people of the land as the Messiah did who is the TRUE Light of the world when He came to Israel 2000 years ago (Matt. 12:39, 27:18-25, Acts 2:22-36). It will be at the end of the Two Witnesses 1260 day ministry that the unbelieving masses of Jews will side with the Beast and partake in his false victory over these Two Messengers (Rev. 11:7-13). He will be received as a great liberator but little does godless Israel know that Almighty God's protective hedge is now removed and like Samson of old (Judges 16:20) they are now open for Satan's Beast to decimate Israel and bring about the HORRIFIC time of Jacob's trouble spoken of by the prophets and the risen King of Israel (Deut. 4:30, 31:29, Jer. 30:18, Ezek 39:26, Dan. 9:27, 11: 45, 12:1, 11, Zech 13:8-9, 14:1-2, Matt. 24:15-19, Mark 13:14-19, Luke 21:20-24, Rev. 12, Rev. 13).

 

It will be Israel's unrepentant heart and hostility against Almighty God's SUPER ABOUNDING mercy and grace (Ezek. 39:26, Matt. 22:1-13, 24:51, Luke 14:15-27, Rev. 11:8) that will then allow and open the HORRIFIC door of GREAT tribulation and Jacob's trouble (Jer. 30:18, Ezek 39:26, Dan. 9:27, 11: 45, 12:1, 11, Zech. 13:8-9, 14:1-2, Matt. 24:15-19, Mark 13:14-19, Luke 21:20-24, Rev. 12, Rev. 13).  It will be after the death, resuscitation and ascension of the Two Witnesses of Almighty God that Almighty God's Divine hedge protecting Israel will be removed and GREAT HORRIFIC persecution (Demonic and human) will now take place against her  (Jer. 30:1-8, Dan. 12:1, Zech. 13:8-9, 14:-2, Matt. 24:15-22, Mark 13:14-20, Luke 21:20-24, Rev. 12:12-17).

 

The resuscitation and ascension of Almighty God's Two Witnesses before a globally ravished - gleeful, demonically driven, godless world and Israel (Rev. 11:7-12) will validate without a shadow of doubt ALL of their Divine words of TRUTH from their 1260 day ministry and ETERNALLY confirm that indeed, "The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall REIGN for EVER and EVER - Rev. 11:15"! All of the Two Witnesses Words have now been absolutely validated and WILL come to pass and no godless world, the beast or Satan himself can and will EVER stop Messiah's coming reign and their ETERNAL demise (2 Thess. 2:8-12, Rev. 14:9-11, Rev. 19:11-21)!

 

It will be NOW during this last EXPONENTIALLY HORRIFIC "time, times and half a time/forty two months/1260 days (Dan.12:7, Rev. 12:14, Rev. 13:5) that Satan, his beast and the nations of the world will seek the absolute eradication of Israel, but most specifically the remnant of Israel and gentile converts who have received the Messiah under the Two Witnesses ministry (Jer. 30:4-8, Dan. 12:1,7, Zech. 13:8-9, 14:1-2, Matt. 24:15-22, Rev. 7, Rev. 14, Rev. 12:5-17). Israel, because of their FULL rejection of the POWERFUL ministry of Israel's Moses and Elijah (Almighty God's Two Witnesses) will be now given over to GREAT TRIBULATION and to their reprobate mind (Deut. 4:30, Jer. 30:4-7, Ezek. 39:26, Dan. 9:27, 12:1, Rom. 1:18-32, Rev. 11:2, 8)!

During this post Two Witness world, the forty two month Satanic global reign of terror against Israel and the redeemed of the nations will be HORRIFIC (Jer. 30:4-7, Zech. 14:1-2, Matt. 24:9-22, Rev. 11:2, 12:13-17)! These forty two months will seem like decades as Israelis seek to survive this HORRIFIC global purge. For those who were able to flee to the wilderness, they will be SUPER NATURALLY protected and nourished for this time (Rev. 12:14). It will be during this time of Divine protection (Rev. 12:13-17) that those who are Israel's remnant at this place of protection will be nourished in the TRUTHS they have heard from the Two Witnesses of Almighty God and consider their words and ministry. However it will not be until those who are left of the nation Israel see the second Coming of the Messiah from Heaven's glory that they will NOW truly comprehend ALL the words of Almighty God's Two Witnesses and then with GREAT contrition, repentance and weeping receive Him as their Lamb, Savior and King (Isa. 45:17, 59:20, Jer. 30:4-8, 31:33, Dan. 2:43-44, 7:13-1, Joel 2:32, Zech. 12:10-14, 13:8-9, Mal. 4:4-6, Matt. 17:11, 23:39, 26:63-64, Mark 9:12, 14:62, Rom. 11:26, Rev. 1:7, 19:11-21).

 

My dear friends in conclusion we have tried to point out through many Bible verses that the Two Witnesses (who are Moses and Elijah) are absolute crucial in understanding end time prophecy. Leave these Two out and many prophetic theories will collapse including Daniel 9:27. The seven year tribulation is all about Almighty God dealing with Israel (Dan. 9) and restoring that nation to their Divine purpose and covenant promises Almighty God made with their Fathers (Abraham, Isaac and Jacob/Israel). It will be these Two Witnesses who arrive after the Rapture of the Body of Christ, that will be used greatly by the ETERNAL Holy Spirit of Almighty God to tell an EXPONENTIAL godless, technological and lawless world that the Day of the Lord is now here and the Kingdom of Heaven is indeed at hand!   (Zech. 4:1-6, John 16:8-12, Rev. 11:4)

We are now in the month of September. Summer has come to it s end and the Fall season is fast approaching.

 

The much talked about Shemitah Cycle has concluded. Another 6.6 earthquake has struck Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico. The CERN Collider is set to operate yet again at its fastest pace as of yet.  A strong Russian/Syrian alliance has formed ."The Russians are no longer advising, but co-leading the war in Syria," one intelligence official said.

 

With a plethora of daily news regarding Syria in lately, one has to ask if Syria is the same "Assyria" that is mentioned in the Bible. The answer is no from a political perspective. The modern state of Syria was formed after World War I and became independent after World War II.

 

However, there are historical connections to ancient Assyria, including some similar territory. Historically, speaking Assyria was one of the Great Mesopotamian powers along with the Babylonians and the nearby Persians. The areas they occupied are roughly close to the borders of modern day Syria (Assyria), Iraq (Babylon) and Iran (Persia).

 

Assyria in particular, was located to the east and Northeast of the Northern Kingdom of Israel stretching into Mesopotamia (the broad plain between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers).

 

Just a few months ago, Turkey and Saudi Arabia, have been actively engaged in high-level talks with the goal of possibly creating a joint military alliance to oust Syrian President Bashar Assad. Today the prime minister of Turkey is Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Today the Turkish army is on the Syrian border. Syria, however, apparently seems to be supported by Iran. Again keep in mind that BOTH opposing countries also have differing religious beliefs. There is speculation that Turkey may want to ultimately re-establish the Ottoman Empire. However, it is very possible that a major war between Shi'ite and Sunnis may be on the horizon with the victor claiming superiority in Islam. That being said, who will be the leader?

 

Now you have Turkey rising up in what is transpiring in the Middle East. Thus, the famed War of Gog and Magog as mentioned in Ezekiel 38-39 is not too far off. (I strongly recommend you read the four part series on the War of Gog and Magog.)

 

It is painfully obvious now that the final days of the Ba'athist al-Assad regime, and of Syria are upon her. It is being reported that currently, there is significant military pressure being placed upon the faltering Syrian Ba'athist regime of Bashar al-Assad and the city of Damascus by an array of Sunni Jihadist militias.

 

Thus, a military disaster of grave magnitude appears to be in the near future for Damascus:

 

Jeremiah 49:23-27-Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet. Damascus is waxed feeble, and turneth herself to flee, and fear hath seized on her: anguish and sorrows have taken her, as a woman in travail. How is the city of praise not left, the city of my joy! Therefore her young men shall fall in her streets, and all the men of war shall be cut off in that day, saith the Lord of hosts.And I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, and it shall consume the palaces of Benhadad.

 

Isaiah 17:1-3a-The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap. The cities of Aroer are forsaken: they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid. The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria;

 

Damascus is the capital of Syria and its second largest city, with about 2.6 million people in the metropolitan area. Today Syria is in the midst of a civil war. As a continuation of Arab Spring, as leaders are being ousted and replaced, there is also a movement to oust Syrian President Bashar Assad. Damascus has already suffered a great deal of damage, but according the above mentioned Scriptures, Damascus will be taken away from being a city. Today, fighting in Damascus is on the rise.

 

It is being reported that The United Nations and United States leadership want Syrian President Assad gone. It also appears as if Russia and Iraq want Assad to stay. The United States have pushing for Middle Eastern led military action. The US, UN, Britain, France, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and other world powers are pushing for an escalation of force to oust the Syrian President.

 

Talk of a military conflict between Israel and Iran is also on the rise. In Ezekiel 38 a Russian led invasion into Israel is described. Russia is Joined by Iran, Turkey, Ethiopia/Sudan (Cush), and Libya.

 

Ezekiel 38:1-10-And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, And say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee. Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them. After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them. Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.

 

This war may occur shortly after the destruction of Damascus. Perhaps Turkey may destroy Damascus. Turkey may then join Russia in launching a Middle Eastern invasion into Israel. Thus, after Syria is destroyed, a Middle East invasion into Israel will occur.

 

It is worth noticing to see who may be the next leader in Assyria. There are several allusions to the Anti-Christ mentioned in the Bible and according to the Bible, in the following passages, he is referred to as the Assyrian:

 

 

Isaiah 10:5 :O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation.

 

Isaiah 10:24 : Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt.

 

Isaiah 14:25 : That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders.

 

Isaiah 30:31 For through the voice of the LORD shall the Assyrian be beaten down, which smote with a rod.

 

Micah 5:5 And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land;

 

Micah 5:6 And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.

Many of the Shi'ite leaders in Iran hold fast to the notion that the Syrian revolution could be the catalyst for sparking a worldwide conflagration that will usher in the arrival of the Mahdi. They also believe that the Mahdi will lead a global revolution and establish a worldwide Islamic empire and rule the earth as the final Caliph of Islam.

 

The Turkish army is amassed along the Syrian border today. If Turkey attacks Syria will it then turn south to invade Israel? Who will be the next leader of Syria?

 

2 Thessalonians 2:1-12--Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you,  not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ[a] had come. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin[b] is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God[c] in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

 

Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things?  And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time.  For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He[d] who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.  And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.  The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders,  and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.  And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,  that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

 

I truly believe that as the Holy Spirit is preparing the true Church for the Imminent Return of the LORD, consequently, the spirit of lawlessness is paving the way for the man of lawlessness to be revealed. This can be evidenced by the moral slide that has taken in place in the U. S. alone over the summer.

 

2 Thessalonians 2:7-For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.

 

Regarding the end of times, it is important to develop a knowledgeable perspective when viewing current events unfolding in the Middle East. I have stated before that it seems as if there has been an acceleration of prophetic events and even more so in the Middle East. Where it all began is where it all will come to a conclusion with the Return of Jesus Christ which day by day seems to be getting closer and closer and closer.....

 

We may be approaching an event horizon: the identity of the Anti-Christ may soon be revealed...........

As Jews across Israel celebrated the Jewish New Year of Rosh Hashana earlier this week, parts of the country were hit with extreme flash flooding and, in some areas, hail, in an unusual change of weather.

 

"It felt like the apocalypse, the rain has been torrential, there were about 10 lightning strikes in seconds, and even with your windshield wipers on high, it was impossible to see anything," Mark Katz, a National Parks Authority employee, told the Times of Israel.

 

Since the beginning of September, Israel has experienced a series of extreme weather changes, beginning last week with a sudden sandstorm that blanketed the country in thick yellow dust.

 

The record setting five-day dust storm was also accompanied by a heat-wave, with new records reached across Israel in temperatures and air pollution.

 

Last week's sandstorm is reported to be the worst to hit the region in Israel's history. As the dust finally dissipated, it was only to be replaced with freak rainstorms and flash flooding in the Arava and Judean deserts.

 

Israel's meteorological service issued flash flood warnings Tuesday, even going so far as to close the Eilat Airport, grounding domestic flights until the late evening.

 

The flash floods led to road closures in from the central region of Mitzpe Rimon all the way just north of Eilat. The extreme change in weather also caused parts of southern Israel and the Galilee to be hit by a rare hail storm. Witnesses reported hail the size of ice cubes.

Bow Before Him

Jesus is God the Son, the second person of the Holy Trinity. He is worthy of all honor, glory, and praise. He humbled Himself in obedience and entered His creation to give mankind the only way to become reconciled to God. Sin separates us from God and only the shed blood of Jesus allows reconciliation. If you have accepted this truth and asked Christ to forgive your sins then bow before Him in obedience, praise, and thankfulness. "Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth and things under the earth; and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Philippians 2:9-11.

 

Too often Christians grab hold of the forgiveness part of Christ's love, but fail to be thankful. We forget that He is God and salvation is available only because the Creator of the universe loves us. We need to set aside our pride, bow before Him, and honor Him with our life out of gratitude for what He did. Salvation is freely offered to us. When we admit that we are sinners and know we need Him for salvation, we are forgiven and the Holy Spirit is sealed within us. From the moment we truly believe we are saved by grace. Remember that every gift has a cost. Though this gift is free to us, God Himself paid a huge price. He left Heaven and took on human form. He sacrificed Himself on the cross to be the once for all atonement for our sin. Christians should be overwhelmed with gratitude, yet we think we deserve His grace and mercy. Like spoiled children, we act as if God owed it to us. "And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me." Matthew 10:38. Are you worthy of Him? Do you take up your cross and follow Him?  Christ spoke these words to His twelve disciples and they truly understood what taking up a cross meant. It meant death. Jesus had just told them that if they loved anybody more than Him, they denied Him. Following Jesus may mean that your family turns on you or that friendships must be terminated, but nothing in your life can come before Jesus...you must take up your cross and nail your old self there. If you are willing to deny Christ in order to hold onto friends or lifestyles then you are not taking up your cross to follow Him. You are like a baby who never matures. "Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven." Matthew 10:32-33. We are not saved by works, but by grace. We cannot earn salvation, but if you deny Christ by living contrary to His ways you deny Him and may not truly have accepted His grace. Eternity is a long to spend thinking "Oops".

 

Every person who has ever lived faces judgment from God. The Great White Throne judgment is where those who have rejected Christ will be judged for their works. "And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them." Revelation 20:11. You don't want your worst enemy to face this judgment. God is love, but those who face this judgment will be judged according to their works and not through the blood of the Lamb which takes away our sin. "And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works." Revelation 20:12.  Let me tell you right now, there are no works you can do that will make you worthy of salvation. Nothing. You can't help enough little old ladies cross the street or serve in enough soup kitchens to make you worthy. The people who face this judgment have all rejected Christ and are judged solely by their works. "And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." Revelation 20:14-15. There are no second chances after death. If you have rejected Christ in this life, this is the eternity you will face. "Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble." James 2:19. There will be many people who face this judgment who claim to believe in one god, but they all will have condemned themselves because they don't believe in God Almighty. Muslims and Mormons say there is one god, but they don't worship God Almighty. Even many who claim to be Christians don't worship God Almighty. You can say there is one god, but if you haven't humbly bowed before God Almighty and confessed Christ as the only way of salvation, then you haven't placed your faith in Him. If you haven't taken up your cross to follow Jesus, then you deny Him.

 

The White Throne judgment is for those who have rejected Christ. Christians will also face judgment. It will not be the same type as the White Throne judgment, but is still a judgment. "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad." 2 Corinthians 5:10. There, all secrets will be revealed. You may think nobody knows about the hidden sins in your life, but Christ knows. "For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is." 1 Corinthians 3:11-13. It's clear that works matter in this judgment, but only those done for Christ will not burn. "If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire." 1 Corinthians 3:14-15. No matter how good a work you do, if it isn't done for Christ it will be burned up in the fire of this judgment. Only works done for God will remain. Will you be left bare when those hidden sins are burned up because you have done nothing for Christ? "Know ye not  that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are." 1 Corinthians 3:16-17. Don't defile the temple with worldly pursuits, yoking yourself with non-believers who will drag you into sin, or anything that will burn up in the judgment. Gold, silver, and precious stones are the things done for God and will not burn. Take up your cross and follow Jesus.

 

"And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!" Matthew 27:29. Even the Roman soldiers bowed before Jesus, but like many people today they only mocked Him. So-called Christians who don't take up their cross to deny self and follow Him, also mock Him. They engage in fornication, accept sin as a way of life, yoke themselves with unbelievers, and generally disrespect the God they claim to serve. Those who mocked Him in times past are now well aware Who it was they laughed at and mocked. Don't laugh at Jesus. Don't mock God by bowing before Him as a joke. Honor Him. When you stand before Him in judgment, whether the White Throne or the Bema Seat, your life will be laid bare. You will look upon the Lamb of God who was slain for your salvation. Will you be ashamed of how you served Him?

 

Brothers and sisters, we are living in the end times. If you pay attention to the news headlines you know without a doubt that the wars, pestilence, earthquakes, and other birth pains which Jesus spoke of in the Olivet Discourse are growing in intensity. The dry bones of Ezekiel chapter 37 have come together in the rebirth of the nation of Israel. Israel is now surrounded by enemies who are trying to eliminate them from the face of the earth (another sign). As war rages in Syria, we can see that the destruction of Damascus, as prophesied in Isaiah 17, is on the brink of being fulfilled. Sin is fully embraced by every nation. There is a push for a one world religion, a one world government, and a one world currency. Study prophecy and compare it to what is happening around the world right now and you will understand how close Daniel's 70th week is. Many educated men who love the Lord look for a major event to take place within a few weeks. Could this event be the Rapture? Maybe. Nobody can know for sure, but we can look to the clues in Scripture. It will happen prior to the beginning of Daniel's 70th week. Time is short and today is not the time to put off taking up your cross to follow Jesus; bow before Him and be grateful for His sacrifice. Study God's word to know His ways. "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." 2 Timothy 2:15. No matter your age you are just one heartbeat away from eternity. You may die from heart attack, cancer, or a car accident. A better scenario would be for the Rapture to take all Christians to be with our Lord. Right now, put aside your pride and arrogance and give yourself entirely to Christ.

 

"Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear." Isaiah 45:22-23. The Old Testament prophet Isaiah recorded this, and it is repeated in the New Testament. "For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God". Romans 14:11.  Look to Him for salvation. Bow your knee before Him, confess Him before men, take up your cross and follow Him. Don't face the White Throne judgment and be sure you won't be ashamed to meet Jesus at the Bema seat.

 

One day every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Which throne will you bow before?

How do you prepare for the path ahead?  I mean it looks like the world is going through a paradigm shift in right and wrong.  God has been thrown out as the standard by which good and evil are judged.  Judges are openly proclaiming evil good and good evil.  Money for which people work very hard is stolen from the through taxes and passed out freely to lazy illiterates and illegals.  And the very brutal truth is that no one actually knows how to prepare for the future.  How can we prepare for a future that has no precedence? The future is more of an unknown that ever.  Except for one thing that is.  With the exception of those who leave this earth in the 'rapture of the church' we are all going to die!  (What is the rapture and when will it happen?'  http://tobarbara.blogspot.com/2011/05/rapture-what-is-it-and-when-will-it.html  )

 

That you will die is not an unknown.  We don't know the exact day or hour or even year.  But, it is going to happen.  Now is the time to prepare for this event!  And no, you don't prepare by getting a pre-paid funeral, although that isn't a bad idea.  You prepare by accepting the invitation of Jesus Christ to go to heaven at His expense.  To put it bluntly if you don't prepare to go to heaven you are going to hell.  No one in heaven is going to wish they had gone to hell.  Those in hell will all be looking for an escape, but there will be no escape.  Hell is eternal.

 

Have you prepared for the one event that is surely coming to you?  Have you put your trust in Jesus Christ?  Do you know you are saved? (Are Christians right when they say I need to get saved?  http://tobarbara.blogspot.com/2011/05/are-christians-right-when-they-say-i.html  )

 

Once you have been saved the time to lay up treasures in heaven begins. You have a very real future in heaven.  In heaven there is no corruption and no thieves. (Many people in heaven were former thieves, but through repentance they were cleansed from all unrighteousness.)  What you store in heaven stays in heaven.  You do this through obedience to God, striving to conform to the image of Christ, by loving others the way Christ loved you, studying the Bible, learning the teachings of the God through the Bible, gaining patience, and generally applying sound Bible teachings to personal actions. You do this daily and consistently. 

 

Trust the Lord.  As you do what the Lord says to do you trust Him to take care of the rest.  There have been instances where the Lord has provided food out of thin air for His children.  But trusting the Lord does not take away responsibility to do the best you can with the resources given to you.  Payday means pay the bills, buy food, give to God, and buy the things you need.  It does not mean spend it all on fun things and trust God to provide more money to pay your bills.  It means trust the Lord to begin with; do everything you are capable of doing; and trust God to manage the results of your labor.  In other words, be action based instead of outcome based.  Truthfully, we can often see the likely result of our labor, but we can't know the exact outcome.  Often harder work provides better results. Today in the labor market the opposite is true.  Buying power is less.  More money does not go farther than it did even a few years ago.  Inflation is eating up the fruit of our labor.  We have no control over this.  Just do the best you can and trust God.  Because the government has become a den of thieves does not give Christians the right to stop providing for our own families and paying our taxes.  Like many of you I wish Jesus had left out the part of the gospel that says, 'render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's, and unto God that which is God's.'  God is always right, so be obedient to do what He says to do.

 

A change in leadership in a nation is not going to change a lot.  It may help in some instances, but national leadership is not where the real change needs to be.  The real change needs to be in Christians trusting God and crying out to Him for mercy.  Many people and so-called preachers of the gospel are preaching social injustice and social change instead of preaching Jesus Christ.  The outcome of such heresy from the pulpit is that the lost do not hear the plan of salvation.   We often hear people and preachers saying what Jesus would do in certain situations.  They need to give a Biblical example to back up their blather.  Jesus did feed thousands, but He did it without government assistance.  He didn't ask for government intervention when He threw the money changers out of the temple.  Jesus had no opinion as far as rich or poor being better.  The rich young ruler loved his riches more than he wanted to follow Jesus.  That was the sin that cost him salvation.  He was 'rich in spirit' meaning he was proud and comfortable. Poor people can also be rich in spirit.  Jesus loved sinners of all sorts enough to tell the truth. Repent and turn from your sin or you will go to hell. 

 

Be brave.  Be strong and of good courage. 

 

'And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the Lord God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord.'  1 Chronicles 28:20

 

  The world does not like Christians. The world hates the truth.  The world hates God.  The world hates Jesus. As God is love, the world system is hate.  Governments gobble power and control like chickens gobble up worms.  Christians are standing in their way.  Never the less, it is the duty of the Christian who actually cares about the lost to tell the truth. 

 

'He that speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit.'  Proverbs 12:17.

 

When I think about the current political and social situation in the United States it breaks my heart.  The thought that comes to mind is that where there is no love of God there is no nation worth saving.  However, the USA and the entire world are full of people who need salvation.  Every soul saved has a citizenship in heaven.  Heaven is the nation in which we will spend eternity, and heaven is in no need of salvation. Everyone there is safe in the hand of God.  Heaven is already perfect. Love you country, but love heaven more.  Heaven is your eternal home.

 

If you were out to win a popularity contest you would lose if your talent was talking about Jesus Christ and His plan of salvation.  But, you would wise.  Proverbs 11:30 says, 'The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.'

 

Truly, our actions may make an earthly nation a better place to live.  But we cannot save a nation from sin.  We can point the way to Jesus Christ.  We can pray for souls to be saved so the population of heaven will be larger.  The Bible says we can't understand the things that God has prepared for them that love Him.  But it is a place that has room for more people.  Do something good for the wonderful place you are going when you die.  Tell the lost how to meet you in heaven.  (Meet Me There - hymn - with lyrics - wonderful!   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QaWv4gLqyeg  )
