TRUMP WATCH: 4.29.17 - First 100 Days of Trump

Homeland Security doing a good thing - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com

For years since its inception in 2002, the Department of Homeland Security has been a big government watchdog that many were concerned was tantamount to some form of an anti-citizen, jack-boot spy agency. Remember, it was Homeland Security who put out the report as one of the first orders of business in the ex-"president's" regime labeling veterans, gun owners, pro-life supporters and Christians as radical right wing extremists. Since the installment of John Kelly as its Secretary, Homeland Security seems to be actually taking its namesake seriously-attempting to secure America's borders and protect Americans rather than hold them in suspicion. One small example is VOICE.

DHS has opened the Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement (VOICE) office. The mission of VOICE, according to Kelly, is "to support victims of crime through access to information and resources." Kelly said in a statement: "Until now, victims of immigration-related crimes have not had a government resource that could provide timely information on their cases. The VOICE Office uses a victim-centered approach to acknowledge and support victims and their families, promotes awareness of rights and available services to crime victims, builds collaborative partnerships with community stakeholders assisting victims, and collects and reports data relating to crimes committed by immigration violators."

While the politically correct crowd doesn't want to be confused by the facts, illegal aliens make up 27% of the federal prison population (not counting state and local). The Government Accounting Office estimates that criminal aliens average seven arrests, half of them for at least one drug offense. In 2014, the Department of Justice reported that illegal immigrants were convicted and sentenced for over 13% of all crimes committed in the US and more than 25% of the murders since 2003. Kelly said, "because of years and years of policies complicating immigration and enforcement efforts, and a politically-correct approach to public safety, there are mothers who will never again receive a Mothers Day card from a son."

Kelly told reporters when announcing VOICE, "These victims of illegal aliens aren't data points. They're people. And they and their families deserve to be treated fairly." So now we have a government agency trying to correct a government injustice done in the name of social justice. Isaiah 1:17 says, "Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, defend the fatherless, plead for the widow." There have been a lot of fatherless and widows left in the wake of the ex-"president's" failure to protect American citizens. In this case, Homeland Security is doing a good thing. Government and good leadership should be a terror to evil rather than to good. VOICE is a small step in the right direction. I pray you never have to use it.

In view of escalating threats from North Korea, all 100 US senators were invited to the White House Wednesday for a rare classified briefing on the crisis from the administration's top security chiefs: Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, Secretary of Defense James Mattis, National Intelligence director Dan Coats and Chairman of the US chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph Dunford.  Vice President Mike Pence has interrupted his Asian trip to attend. The briefing is set for 1900 hours GMT.

President Donald Trump, who spoke Sunday with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Japanese Prime Minister

Shinzo Abe said: The status quo in North Korea is unacceptable. It's a big problem, has been for decades and we must finally solve it."

As North Korea prepares to mark the 85th anniversary on Tuesday of the founding of its Korean People's Army - a possible date for the regime to test military hardware - its official website warned Monday that Pyongyang will "wipe out" the United States if Washington starts a war on the peninsula.

US commercial satellite images have indicated increased activity around North Korea's nuclear test site, while Kim has said that the country's preparation for an ICBM launch is in its "final stage." Earlier, Pyonyang threatened to sink the USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier which is leading a strike group toward the Korean peninsula along with two Japanese destroyers.

Xi told Trump that China strongly opposed North Korea's nuclear weapons program and hoped "all parties will exercise restraint and avoid aggravating the situation."  This drew an angry response from North Korean media: The state-owned KCNA news agency suggested Beijing was "dancing to the tune of others" and warned China of "catastrophic consequences".

The shadow government advances - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com

US District Court for the Northern District of California Judge William Orrick III may be a spoke in the wheel of the ex-"president's" shadow government. Orrick Tuesday blocked President Donald Trump's executive order stopping federal funding to sanctuary cities failing to uphold US immigration law. Orrick's decision means that the federal government cannot withhold funding from cities that openly break federal law. Orrick was also the judge that blocked the release of the Planned Parenthood videos that caught representatives of the abortion provider admitting to selling baby parts. He also bundled and contributed over $230,000 to the ex-"president's campaign. The ex-"president" appointed him in May, 2013.

The undermining of the law by Orrick drew a terse and immediate response from the White House. The White House statement said, "Once again, a single district judge -- this time in San Francisco -- has ignored federal immigration law to set a new immigration policy for the entire country...San Francisco, and cities like it, are putting the well-being of criminal aliens before the safety of our citizens, and those city officials who authored these policies have the blood of dead Americans on their hands." The statement, released to the press pool, also said that Orrick's decision was an "egregious overreach by a single unelected district judge" and "raises serious questions about circuit shopping."

Circuit shopping is how the shadow government undermines the law. Leftist attorneys at organizations like the ACLU, CAIR and the Southern Poverty Law Center look for the judges who would be most favorable to their position and seek to put their cases before those judges. They know that the judge, usually appointed by a Democratic President, will twist the law to their favor, or ignore it completely to uphold the leftist need. Both court decisions against Trump's immigration Executive Orders have come from the jurisdiction of the San Francisco Ninth Circuit Court, the most liberal in the nation. The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 as amended gives the President authority to determine if the entry of any alien or any class of aliens would be detrimental and to impose any restrictions on their entry he may deem appropriate.

The intent of the law is to allow the President a wide berth on illegal aliens and how they are handled, especially when the national security is at stake. Cities that would willfully disobey the President's authority are breaking the law, irrespective of what some agent of the Marxist shadow government twists words to mean. The White House says that the higher courts will overturn these ridiculous decisions. In the meantime, however, an unelected, politically-appointed leftist judge is undermining the safety, security and general welfare of American citizens. Habakkuk 1:4 says that because strife exists and contention arises, "Therefore the law is slacked, and justice does never go forth: for the wicked does surround the righteous; therefore perverse judgment proceeds." The shadow government has its wicked agents in place. They should be removed.

The ex "president's" militant arm Antifa - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com

Attorney General Jeff Sessions last week pointed his finger directly at the ex-"president's" Administration and said that the lack of border security and immigration law enforcement allowed the lethal MS13 gang to take root in the US. The Daily Jot has reported in the past how MS13 and the Islamic State have infiltrated the US and work in tandem in drug and human trafficking, death and destruction-both allowed to incubate and mature under the lawlessness promoted by the previous Administration. There is yet another group that not only the previous administration allowed to foment, but that the leftist political machine is utilizing as a militant arm of far-left liberal politics, putting American citizens in harm's way.

Edmond Kozak of PoliZette reports that this militant group ventured into the public in a big way during a pro-Trump free speech rally at the University of California Berkeley campus on April 15. Masked men and women wearing black violently disrupted the Trump rally by throwing bricks and M-80 explosives into the crowd and physically assaulting the Trump supporters. Some footage of the event documented one attacker hitting a peaceful Trump supporter over the head with a bicycle chain and lock. According to The Gateway Pundit, the police chief in Berkeley ordered officers to stand down and allowed the violence. Trump supporters fought back in self-defense and the group, numbering in hundreds, ran away.

Finally, police arrested 23 and confiscated knives, stun guns and poles from the attackers of the militant group that calls itself Antifa. Antifa stands for "anti-fascist action" and, by its own definition, is an organization of anarchists and communists fighting to end fascism. In reality, they are the militant arm of the radical leftists who are protesting President Donald Trump and his Administration. Antifa is working unofficially and deniably in collaboration with the ex-"president's" Organizing for Action, which boasts a following of protesters some 30,000 strong with 250 offices across the country. OFA is the Soros-funded $40 million front group for the ex "president's" shadow government and leads other non-profits in signaling protests across the country. Antifa shows up as the "enforcer" to violently dispirit pro-Constitutional Americans.

Antifa is a terrorist group similar to Hamas, which is one of the militant arms of the Palestinian Authority. The Palestinian Authority, for example, poses as the legal representative of the "Palestinian" people, but in reality, it is calling the shots on terrorism in Israel. Antifa is emerging as the shadow government's militant arm. Of course, there is plausible deniability because of the "arm's-length" association with the group. But the members are the same, the beliefs are the same, and the goal is the same-to undermine the US government and foment a socialist takeover of America. This is not a drill. It's real. Jesus said in Matthew 24:4, "Take heed that no man deceive you." Do not be deceived by denials, especially when these people justify violence in the name of protecting social justice and free speech while, in reality, they oppress both.

First 100 Days of Trump - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com

Approaching the 100-day mark of Donald Trump's presidency, every media outlet and pundit is pontificating about what kind of job the "Donald" is doing. I'm going to weigh in on this at the risk of making everybody mad at me. Just remember, its my opinion and there are many others. First and foremost, Donald Trump is in his first 100 days a better president than the previous one, and most certainly a better president than Hillary Clinton would have ever been. While facing criticism on who he has appointed and how long it is taking him to do certain things, he has pragmatically accomplished a great deal of his campaign promises during his first 100 days--promises that are overall good for America.

Many Christians are complaining about Trump not being a true Christian and that he has appointed this liberal or that moderate to a position, proving he is not what he said he was. When was the last time you saw the ex-"president" attend church on Easter Sunday? The Trump family did, and it wasn't an uncommon appearance according to his pastor. Also, remember that we didn't elect a pastor, we elected a President. This particular President is different than anything we have seen in modern history. He doesn't fit the political mold to which we have been accustomed. He is pragmatic about how he gets things done-like a successful businessman would be. He doesn't care so much about the person's political ideals as he does about whether the person is competent to get the job done, meet deadlines, and accomplish goals.

Lets look at some of the drastic changes that have occurred that are good for your personal security and general welfare because of this new Administration: Jobs--he has received commitments from companies to stay in America or bring their business here to create and sustain-real jobs--not "shovel ready" government make-work jobs. Border Security--Trump and his Attorney General Jeff Sessions have significantly decreased illegal immigration and immigration from terrorist sponsoring nations. Just because the courts have opposed them, doesn't mean the intent of their policies are not working. He appointed a conservative to the Supreme Court--imagine what Hillary would have done. Most importantly for our security from a prophetic standpoint, he reversed the caustic relations with Israel that have plagued America for a decade.

I'm not an apologist for this President, but he has accomplished these things in the face of the strongest opposition in modern history. I don't think people realize just how close we were to a Marxist coup of our government. Many don't want to believe that the forces working against Trump are real and, quite frankly, dangerous. Any normal man would be consumed by just defending our nation against these revolutionary evildoers. There are people who want to destroy the Republic and the Constitution and they have manipulated about half the country into believing their lies. This may be the gravest threat of Trump's entire presidency. Things might not be changing fast enough for some, but they are changing.

He's not perfect, but something to consider: It took us a long time to get into this mess-probably the only speed bump along the Post-WWII way was Ronald Reagan. So this globalist track is entrenched. It will not be removed over night. And there are some political realities that Trump faces in trying to remove people and ideals. I also don't know of any president in recent history who has faced such harsh opposition to everything he is trying to do. So I never expected Trump to be able to do all that he said he would do. I did expect him to put the brakes on some of the horrors that were running out of control--I think he has done that. Proverbs 29:2 says, "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked bear rule, the people mourn." Going forward, let's count our blessings and pray for the best for our country.
