Hal Lindsey : 12.21.19

December 20th, 2019

At this moment, thousands of Israelis are hard at work preparing for the rebuilding of the Temple. They don't know when it will happen, but they are convinced that it will. And they are determined to be ready. Conversely, Muslims of that area see the rebuilding of the Temple as a major threat. They are working to make sure there will never be another Temple on this God-chosen site.

On this week's Hal Lindsey Presents, I tell about one of the most interesting men I have ever met. His name is Gershon Salomon. As a soldier in the Six-Day War, he saw astounding miracles on the battlefield-miracles that could only come from God.

Later, he felt called to begin work preparing for the Temple. He has spearheaded the rebuilding of the intricate furniture God described to Moses. These pieces must be built to the exact specifications laid out by God. For artisans to do this correctly requires special God-inspired abilities.

Numerous passages in the Bible make it clear that the Temple must be rebuilt. But in today's political climate, how could that be possible? That's one of the things I talk about on this week's program. I also tell about several of my own amazing experiences in Jerusalem and especially on the Temple Mount.

All of this will help us understand Revelation 11:1-2. "And there was given me a measuring rod like a staff; and someone said, 'Rise and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and those who worship in it. And leave out the court which is outside the temple, and do not measure it, for it has been given to the nations; and they will tread under foot the holy city for forty-two months.'"

Why was John given a measuring rod? What does this mysterious passage mean? I wondered about these things for years. Then one day, while standing on the Temple Mount, I believe God gave me the answer.

One of the joys in the study of Revelation is the manner in which this book integrates the whole Bible. It helps us see how all the pieces fit perfectly together in God's plan for the ages!

I hope you'll join me this week for Hal Lindsey Presents. Look for it on Daystar, Sunday at 11PM Eastern Time. Or watch it online anytime at www.hallindsey.com or www.hischannel.com. If you missed any episodes, you can catch up by visiting www.hallindsey.com/videos/.
