What? Wait a minute! - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com Marxist groups that want to defund the police, abolish the traditional role of fathers in the family, and set all prisoners free because of racism are being celebrated bypolitical leaders and the news media- What? Wait a minute! The world is being shut down by the fear of a virus where there is a 99% chance of survival- What? Wait a minute! People have adopted the slogan, "Hate doesn't live here," but call everyone who disagreeswith them racists, bigots, hatemongers and more- What? Wait a minute! Mayors in the largest cities in the US are demanding the defunding of police yet are turning a blind eye to riots, murders, crime, vandalization of businesses-What? Wait a minute! Theseare just from headlines, here are more. Democrats blame the President for COVID 19 deaths, but offer no solution to what they call a national pandemic- What? Wait a minute! The New York governor sends people infectedwith COVID 19 to nursing homes and then tries to blame the President for huge numbers of nursing home deaths- What? Wait a minute! Now he's saying that criticism of his actions is just politics-nothing to see here- What? Wait a minute! Riots in Seattle andPortland, the mayors and Democrat politicians there refusing to restore order, but blame the President- What? Wait a minute! The Speaker of the House invoking Nazism when the President sends federal agents to restore order in riot-torn Democrat-controlledcities- What? Wait a minute! the US closed Chinese consulate offices amid an array of issues, including COVID 19 and spying, and China retaliates saying the US is responsible for all of the deteriorationin US-China relations- What? Wait a minute! Democrat governors and mayors are issuing orders and punishments for not following lockdowns and wearing masks, yet their states and cities are the most infected with COVID 19- What? Wait a minute! Those same politicianswant businesses shut down and people in lockdown, but they support rioters in the streets- What? Wait a minute! Former Vice President Joe Biden says that black people are not really black if they don't vote for him- What? Wait a minute! In more than 80 pages in the Democratic National Committee's draft platform published by Politico, whites are mentioned 15 times, all critical, including three referencesto white supremacy or supremacists and one to white nationalists, which likely encourages more rioting in the name of racism-What? Wait a minute! Do you see the pattern in all these headlines? The nation is gone crazy. Proverbs 12:15 says, "The way of a foolis right in his own eyes, But he who heeds counsel is wise." America is adrift in foolishness. Oh, one more-Major League Baseball has no fans in the stadiums, so it is populating seats behind home plate with cardboard cut-outs of fans-What? Wait a minute!Put on the brakes. We need the LORD. Trump doubles down, warns November will bring 'greatest election disaster in history' PresidentTrump doubleddown Friday on his warnings surrounding expanded mail-in ballots, declaring November will bring the greatest election disasterin history a day after he controversially suggested delaying the vote. They think theyre going to send hundreds of millions of ballots all over the United States and its gonna come out, he told reporters at the White House following a meeting with members from the National Association of Police Organizations. You wont knowthe election result for week months, maybe years after. Maybe youll never know the election result. Thats what Im concerned with itll be fixed. Itll be rigged. People oughta get smart. He suggested people vote in person or submit absentee ballots. "This is going to be the greatest election disaster in history," he continued on Friday. "And by the way, you guys like to talk to about Russia and China and other places? They'll be able to forge ballots, they'll forge them. They'll do whatever they have todo." TRUMPDEFENDS TWEET ON POSSIBLE ELECTION DAY DELAY AT CONTENTIOUS PRESS CONFERENCE The president has repeatedly raised concerns involving broad mail-in voting, which is expected to be more widely used in the November election out of concern for safety given the COVID-19 pandemic. Republicans have drawn a distinction with standard absenteeballots given the process in place to obtain one. But on Thursday, Trump caused a firestorm when he floated the idea of delaying the election until it could be conducted in person. Trump has no authority to do so, as the Constitution gives Congress the power to set the date for elections, and even Republicanspushed back at the suggestion. At Thursday's White House briefing, Trump claiming universal mail-in balloting could delay the election results for weeks or even months after Election Day. "You're sending out hundreds of millions of universal mail-in ballots. Hundreds of millions. Where are they going? Who are they being sent to? It's common sense," Trump said. "I want an election, and a result, much more than you. I think we're doing very well.... I don't want to see a rigged election." On Friday, he insisted he wants the election to take place, and even said, "I wish we'd move it up, okay?" He said officials are working to fix the issue, but said the government was "not prepared for an onslaught of millions of ballots pouring in." "Absentee ballots, great. Going to the polls, great," he added. "If you do universal mail-ins with millions and millions of ballots, you're never gonna know what the real result of an election is. It's gonna be a very, very sad day for our country." Trump cannot change the election date without the approval of Congress, and policymakers in both parties have largely made clear they would oppose such a move. Earlier this month, NAPO endorsedTrump for president, after endorsing then-Vice President Joe Biden in both the 2008 and 2012 elections. In announcing NAPO's support for Trump, President Michael McHale wrote Trump's support is necessary during this time of unfair and inaccurate opprobrium being directed at our members by so many. We particularly value your directing the Attorney General to aggressively prosecute those who attack our officers, McHale wrote in the letter.
