Is Jesus Return in the Rapture, Imminent? - by pastor Mike Taylor - https://pastormiketaylor.blogspot.com/2020/10/is-jesus-return-in-rapture-imminent.html 47 "The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven. 48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. 49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. 50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible,and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be broughtto pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory." (1st Corinthians 15:47-54) The above opening verses describe a reality that many of us will experience, I believe soon in this time of the end of this age.It describes the 'Harpazo" or the forceful removal of the church from this earth in a instant, or the twinkling of an eye. Some people just cannot wrap their minds around such a concept. Many don't believe what the Bible shows us to be truth. Paul was the first to make this known to the world, as it had never been taught before Paul called it a "mystery" or somethingnot revealed in the past. The prophet Isaiah approached the doctrine in chapter 26, when he described the coming of the Lord to those in his time period. 19 "Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew isas the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead. 20 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment,until the indignation be overpast. 21 For, behold, the Lord cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shalldisclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain." (Isaiah 26:19-21) I've noticed that as you read Isaiah, much of the words the prophet writes lines up with the prophecy that John wrote in the finalbook of your Bible or Revelation of Jesus Christ. But until Paul fleshed out the concept and actually addressed the coming of the Lord for His church, then many people who read the Old Testament couldn't see what Isaiah was saying. A FIRST CENTURY BELIEF I've spoken of the doctrine that was believed in the 1st Century church but was squashed in the Middle Ages by the ruling theocracyof a "church" whose main goal was power and authority over other men. The doctrine was revived in the 19th century, as the Reformation gave men the ability to discern through God's Holy Spirit what the Words of God written actually meant. This doctrine waswritten for our time, not when it was written, as we are the last generation before Jesus comes again. I've always believed that the Bible clearly teaches a Pre-Trib (HARPAZO) rapture of the church, not because I look for a so called"great escape" as some scoff, but because I embrace the belief that it is "Victory in Jesus" and that the church is not appointed to wrath that falls on this earth starting in Revelation chapter 6 all the way through chapter 19 of the destruction in Divineretribution of those who are in rebellion against Almighty God and God judges them as His patience has come to an end. HOW CLOSE ARE WE TO THE COMING OF JESUS? I use the word "imminent" in the title of this message...what does that mean? Definition is "about to happen"...an overhangingtruth on the cusp of fulfillment.....Why do I think it is close to being fulfilled? As Jesus spoke in Matthew : 32 "Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: 33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. 34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. 35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away." (Matthew 24:32-35) Many people have been looking for the return of Jesus Christ, even from the first century, but down through the ages, even intothe first of the 20th Century, one event had not happened, and was fulfilled in May, 1948 when Israel, "the fig tree" bloomed and became a nation again....THEN the time clock for the end of this Church Age began....Jesus said that "this generation shall notpass away" till all things be fulfilled. Then you ask, what is a generation? As Psalms 90 proclaims and man's generation to live is 70-80 years, and is filled with sorrow, then we fly away. 9 "For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told. 10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strengthlabour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away." (Psalm 90:9-10) Note that this year 2020, Israel is now 72 years old and we are pushing for 80 years. And if you look around you, and take toheart what Jesus said in that same chapter, you will see that world events are being fulfilled at "warp speed". How much longer will Jesus tarry before He comes for His bride as He promised all through your bible? I believe not long, hence it is "imminent". The Bible clearly teaches a Pre-Tribulation rapture that puts the last days and the Tribulation into context that is consistentwith the overall flow of Bible prophecy. That is the only reason I teach and believe in the removal of God's church prior to the Tribulation as it makes no differenceto me if someone else does not believe in the doctrine and embraces another point of view, as the timing of the rapture plays no role in our salvation. Of all the doctrines of the Bible, this one is hotly contested among "brethren" who do not believe whatthey read, or fail to discern the meaning of the Words. We are saved by faith through grace and the person believes that He is coming again, as promised, and will keep all of the manyother promises that are spelled out in your Bible, including being an Advocate before the Righteous Judge of all the earth. The believers faith is in the scripture that I so love to quote and believed as a small boy that God the Father sent His Son intothe world to save all who come to Him. 16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but haveeverlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed inthe name of the only begotten Son of God." (John 3:16-18) But,( there's that word) the timing of the rapture of the Church is central to the understanding of the overall BIG picture ofthe last days. We are in the last days and it is a different era than the coming Tribulation period. The "last days" are used throughout thewhole of the Bible in the context of the "Church Age" that we are now coming to the end of the period known also as the "Age of Grace". It all began at Pentecost when the newly indwelt by the Holy Spirit apostles rushed from the upper room to the street proclaimingthe salvation of God and the population thought they were drunk. "Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine. But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said untothem, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words: For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day. But THIS IS THAT WHICH was spoken by the prophet Joel; And itshall come to pass IN THE LAST DAYS saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:" (Acts 2:13-17)(caps, my emphasis) The last days that we speak of is the Age of the Church that we are living in and near at its end, whereas the 70th week of Danielprophecy is called the "Time of Jacob's Trouble also known as the Tribulation. These are two different "dispensations" of God and it is central to the understanding of the times that we now live in. The apostle Paul referred to this age, as the "dispensation of the grace of God". 2 "If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: 3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, 4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)" (Ephesians 3:2-4) Paul called the conclusion of this present time the "Dispensation of the fullness of times". 9 "Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: 10 That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven,and which are on earth; even in him: 11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things afterthe counsel of his own will: 12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ." (Ephesians 1:9-12) DISPENSATIONS OF THE BIBLE During our current dispensation, believers are indwelt by God's Holy Spirit as the Apostle John reminds us: 2 "Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist,whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."(1st John 4:2-4) Note the context of what John speaks of? The spirit of anti-Christ is already in the world, even in John's day, but this spiritcannot overcome the Church saints, because He Who dwells in us (The Holy Spirit) is greater than the spirit of anti-Christ. But this same prophet, writing of the same Anti-Christ who will come in the flesh during the Tribulation will over come the saintssays: "And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to OVERCOME them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues,and nations." (Revelation 13:7) Since the Apostle John wrote both passages, and they cannot be simultaneously true, the flow of the Bible is interrupted if theChurch Age is concurrent with the Tribulation. I've spoken of this in past messages, that if the 'Anti-Christ' is given power to overcome the saints, will he also be given powerto overcome the Holy Spirit? Since John tells us that He (Jesus) had overcome the world, the Anti-Christ cannot overcome those who have God's Holy Spirit, but John tells us that he will overcome the saints. So the only explanation is that those who are saintsin the Tribulation are not sealed with God's Holy Spirit and are not the church, but Tribulation saints. The Holy Spirit will still be moving, but each saint must guard their salvation to the very end as they will not be sealed with a guarantee of their salvation. This is showing that God is not given the Anti-Christ power over Himself, the Holy Spirit of God. That leaves two possibilitiesapart from the Pre-Tribulation rapture in an analysis of the passage. The first is that Jesus lied to us, that He would come to us and never leave us and we would always have the Comforter, that isuntil the tribulation comes and the Comforter would be withdrawn from the Church or the vessels He indwells and leaves them on their own to battle the Anti-Christ. Now we know that Jesus is God and does not lie, and He said He would NEVER leave us or forsakeus. So strike that possibility. The apostle Paul makes that clear that the Holy Spirit will be withdrawn back to Pre-Pentecostal manifestations on the earth,before the "WICKED' is revealed: 6 "And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with thebrightness of his coming: 9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that theymight be saved." (2nd Thessalonians 2:66-10) The Holy Spirit is the power of God holding back complete evil overtaking this world, and He indwells each believer who has cometo Christ Jesus and proclaimed by faith, their Savior. For when the Holy Spirit indwelled believers are removed, then Satan will be allowed to attempt to destroy all mankind and receive worship for himself. For a pre-Trib Rapture to be a false doctrine means our generation was chosen out of all others in Church history to face thegreatest spiritual trial the world has ever known -- without the Comforter that Jesus promised would indwell us until He comes. That is a biblical contradiction. The second possibility is that John was either lying or mistaken when he said the spirit of antichrist cannot overcome indweltbelievers. In either case, the promises of Scripture are broken. Since we know that Scripture cannot be broken, and that Jesus never lied,as He was sinless, then the only possible explanation is that the Pre-Tribulation rapture is the Truth of God's Word. THOSE WHO DON'T BELIEVE. In all my years in the ministry, I have heard every explanation of why the belief in a pre-Trib rapture of the church is nothingbut a "great escape" and scoff that it is a false doctrine. Those who misunderstand the clear meaning of God's Word have not had their eyes opened to the words of Paul as I have spoken of this great Mystery, that only Paul reveals the truths of "Grace throughFaith" and the "Harpazo or rapture of the church" which until the Apostle Paul had never been spoken of in the Words of your Bible. That is why in each case, Paul calls it a "mystery" or something that had been hidden. I believe the One who opened the "mystery"to Paul was none other than our Lord Jesus when Paul was in the wilderness for 3 years being taught before he even showed himself to the other apostles in Jerusalem. But, its opponents will spare no effort to 'prove' that it is a false doctrine, as if the timing of the Rapture were somehow ofeternal significance. It is not. The eternal significance of the Rapture is this: 14 "For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall notprevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: andthe dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and soshall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words." (1st Thessalonians 4:14-18) POINT AND COUNTER-POINT Now with these two opposite opinions clearly in view, let us try and pull this all together by starting with the Words of Jesusin Matthew: 3 "And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be?and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? 4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but theend is not yet." (Matthew 24:3-6) Jesus warned that there will be one who comes in his own name and will deceive many, as most of Israel will be fooled: "I am come in My Father's name, and ye receive Me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive." (John 5:43) Even today, Israel has been looking for a "political messiah" much as they did in the time of Jesus that would rid them of theRoman occupation and today, to give them "peace and security" in their own land from their enemies that surround them. There will come a man, possibly soon, who will give them what they have been longing for, at least temporarily, and will receive him as their"messiah". They have never believed up to this point that they needed a "spiritual Messiah" to save them from their sins, as they had theLaw of Moses, even though we know the law kills and no one is able to keep the law perfectly. Jesus was the only "Man/God" on earth who ever did. It is why the Jews rejected Jesus as their Messiah, as they were looking for a warrior King, much like King Davidto destroy the Romans. Jesus just didn't fit their pre-conceived notions of who their "Messiah" would be, as they needed a warrior, not a suffering servant who came to die for the sins of the world. So if one looks at the coming Anti-Christ, should you be so unfortunate to actually see him in the flesh, then if he is standingon the ground, instead of meeting you in the air, then you will know that he is an imposter, no matter what magic trick he performs to attempt to deceive you. In summary, the Pre-Tribulation rapture is NOT a "great escape" for the church, is is a necessary evacuation of the Holy Spirit'srestraining influence and allowing Satan to have full sway of men and women upon the earth to deceive and destroy them. So since the Holy Spirit resides in each of the Church members, or the body of Christ as a deposit of future glorification, then with theHoly Spirit being withdrawn, so will every believer that has His Spirit residing within our spirit. If you remove the doctrine and the removal of God's people from this earth in the coming rapture of the church, then the chronologyof Bible prophecy is thrown into chaos. Although the doctrine of the rapture of the church has no "salvation value" as we are saved by "Grace through Faith" not of works,lest any man should boast, it has no eternal consequences to anyone that they must believe in the Pre-Tribulation rapture. They can believe or choose not to believe in this doctrine, as it has no salvation attached to it. I find no particular need to converta believer to my own understanding of the last days. BUT, I stress the doctrines, as those who have not come to faith in Jesus Christ will be faced with the coming horror known as the Tribulation and the even more destructive Great Tribulation that will destroynigh 80-90% of all mankind. Prophecy is a great witnessing tool to those who are lost. I believe those who are found in Christ, when the trumpet sounds and they realize that they are being taken to meet Jesus Christin the air will be as I am, raising my hands and praising God, knowing that they have been wrong to reject the doctrine. I have people in my own family who fear the coming tribulation and what will happen to their children and other loved ones. Sadly, theyhave no blessed Hope of being removed from this planet before the wrath of God falls upon all who are left. 10 "Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon allthe world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. 11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown." (Revelation 3:10-11) Our Risen Lord proclaims to the Apostle John when speaking of the coming Tribulation that He will remove each of us from thisplanet, not through the Tribulation as some believe, but completely away from the time and space of this coming event. I have proclaimed in the past of the Greek Word that tells us this in the phrase "will keep thee" which states to be forcefully removed frompoint A to point B away from the time period or place. But those who fear the coming Tribulation who do not have the assurance that "we are not appointed to wrath". 8 "But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. 9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. 11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do." (1st Thessalonians 5:8-11) Yes, my reader, Jesus is coming soon and will catch many believers asleep, and the whole world will wonder where millions of peoplehave gone to. The left behind leadership will attempt plausible excuses and explanations of what has happened, but they speak falsely and attempt to blind the masses to the "snatching away" of the Church of the Living God who has been their blessed Hope. 11 "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of goodworks." (Titus 2:11-14) To re-emphasize I must restate that salvation is given by God as a gift of His grace. It is through faith in the finished workof His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, when He shed His blood on a Roman instrument of death, the cross. His shed blood if full payment for our sins, and His resurrection is our guarantee of our future glorification to be just like Him. "Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knowethus not, because it knew him not. 2 "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, weshall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure." (1st John 3:1-3) SO WHY TEACH THE RAPTURE? But I have said all this to answer the question, "Why teach a pre-tribulation rapture of the church?" Because without this doctrinethat draws the Bible's prophecy into a coherent chronology of events, then Bible prophecy has no context, as without it, it makes no sense. I believe God has been most clear in the concept of the removal of the Church and I warn those who are playing church,warming a pew, or use the church as nothing but a social event, have missed the message of salvation and are doomed to endure, or most likely die in the coming Tribulation. Those whose eyes are opened by God's Holy Spirit feel the dread of being cast into the tribulation without God. And those whodo eventually find God in the coming period of "Jacob's trouble" will most likely die a martyrs death. I warn those who are lost in their sins and have not made Jesus Christ, Lord of their life, changed their mind about God, repented of their sins, and askedJesus into their heart and lives that there is coming a time that I would not want my worst enemy to endure. Not them and not you. The obligation to preach the Word of God in prophecy looking forward to the coming of our Lord for His Church and the beginningof the Tribulation is what I have been called to do. As a minister of Christ I can do no other. Search your Bible, and be a good Berean and find out if what I have said is true. Ask God to lead you into all Truth...as Jesussaid "Thy Word is Truth". 8 "But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from thedead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:8-13) "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." (2ndTimothy 2:15) We are to study diligently, as it is our insurance of not being fooled by false teachers or false prophets and succumb to endtime deception that Jesus said would be a sign of our times. As a Watchman on the Wall, I plead with you to look to Jesus now, the Author and Finisher of our faith. The Harpazo of the Church, (rapture) is close, even at the door, as Jesus will someday soonburst through the clouds and cry with a loud voice "Come up hither".....WILL YOU BE READY? One rabbi describes how these agreements are bringing us closer to an end-of-days showdown between the 'Sons of Keturah" and the Jews. And according to the midrash, it doesn't work out the way you might expect. PEACE BETWEEN ISRAEL AND SUDAN WITH MANY MORE EXPECTED On Friday evening, President Trump announced that Israel and Sudan have reached an agreement that will lead to establishing normalizedrelations between the two countries. The deal was finalized in a phone conference between the president, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Sudanese Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok, and Transitional Council Head Abdel Fattah al-Burhan. In the wake ofthe agreement, the State Department will remove Sudan from the list of state sponsors of terrorism after it pays $335million it had pledged to pay in compensation to the victims of al-Qaeda attacks on US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998. Sudan fought in wars against Israel in 1948 and 1967, provided a haven for Palestinian guerrilla groups, and is suspected of sendingIranian arms to Palestinian militants in Gaza several years ago. At the same time, Trump announced that there are currently five more countries that will be announcing normalization agreementswith Israel. "This will be the third country where we're doing this - and we have many, many more coming," Trump said. Netanyahu said, "Sudanese and Israel delegates will soon be meeting to discuss cooperation in many areas including agriculture,trade and other important areas for our citizens. Sudanese airspace is now open to Israel. This allows for shorter direct flights between Israel and Africa and South America." IS SAUDI ARABIA NEXT? In his remarks, the president hinted that Saudi Arabia is considering a similar move. "We have many countries as you know getting ready and I'm also sure you'll see we also have Saudi Arabia in there very soon,"Trump said from the Oval Office. "I really believe that will happen too. And very good relations with Saudi Arabia. You'll see something very special. This is very special. But we are going to be signing numerous countries in the not too distant future sothat'll be great. President Trump did not rule out a similar agreement that would include Iran conditioned upon their abandoning a path towardsnuclear genocide against Israel. "Whoever is cheering death to Israel cannot obtain nuclear weapons," he stated. "I would like to help Iran and return it to itscorrect course, but they must abandon nuclear weapons." END OF DAYS SHOWDOWN ON THE TEMPLE MOUNT Rabbi Pinchas Winston, a prolific end-of-days author, emphasized that such agreements served a spiritual as well as a politicalpurpose. "When Jews go out into exile, it is to gather the sparks of holiness that belong to the Jewish people that were scattered," RabbiWinston said. "When the last sparks of holiness are returned, the exile ends and the Jews leave the place. In the case of Iran, or more accurately Persia, this was accomplished for the most part by Mordechai and Esther. A few more sparks may have been gathereduntil the time of the Shah." Then there is the idea that in some states, a citizen can actually change their vote if they cast it early by voting by mail orby absentee ballot. Michigan voters can change their vote by submitting by October 30 a signed request to have their vote nullified. Minnesota voters had until October 20 to request a new ballot. Wisconsin voters had until October 29 to request a new ballot.In New York and Pennsylvania, you can just show up on election day and cast your vote and your early vote will be nullified. All these examples allow for voter fraud in that ballots can be counted twice if election officials don't pay attention or have nefariousdesigns in mind. The Wall Street Journal reported Sunday that the social media giant plans to limit the spread of viral content and lower the benchmarkfor suppressing potentially inflammatory posts using internal tools previously deployed in Sri Lanka and Myanmar. So what would those "emergency measures" look like? Well, that could potentially even include manipulating your news feed to alterwhat sort of content you are allowed to see... Facebook has a number of options it could take including "slowing the spread of viral content and lowering the bar for suppressingpotentially inflammatory posts" and "tweaking the news feed to change what types of content users see," the Wall Street Journal reported. Of course Facebook has already been manipulating our news feeds for a very long time, but that is a topic for another article. Personally, I absolutely detest all of the censorship that the big social media companies have been doing, and I am not surprisedthat they are preparing to go even further. According to Facebook, these new "emergency measures" will be implemented if there is "election-related violence"... However, the social media colossus only plans to put these restrictions in place in the event of election-related violence (somethingmany others are fearful of and preparing for). However, during a staff meeting CEO Mark Zuckerberg said "a decisive victory from someone" could "be helpful for clarity and for not having violence or civil unrest after the election" which would reduce Facebook'sneed to step in. Considering the fact that we are seeing election-related violence almost constantly now, I would say that there is a pretty goodchance that Facebook will actually proceed with these emergency measures. Meanwhile, the Washington Post is also deeply concerned about what this election may do to our nation. In a very long articlethat they just published, they discussed the fact that both sides are convinced that "the wrong outcome will bring disaster"... One week before Americans choose their path forward, the quadrennial crossroads reeks of despair. In almost every generation,politicians pose certain elections as the most important of their time. But the 2020 vote is taking place with the country in a historically dark mood - low on hope, running on spiritual empty, convinced that the wrong outcome will bring disaster. "I've never seen anything like it," said Frank Luntz, a Republican political consultant who has been convening focus groups ofundecided voters for seven presidential cycles. Clinton told a New York Times Opinion network podcast that it "makes me literally sick to my stomach to think that we'd have four moreyears of this abuse and destruction of our institutions, and damaging of our norms and our values, and lessening of our leadership, and the list goes on." Many would think that Clinton was talking about American political institutions, American norms and values,and American leadership. According to Bobulinski, he met with Joe Biden to "discuss what I was doing with his family's name and the Chinese." He said, "Hunter introduced me as, this is Tony, dad, the individual Itold you about that's helping us with the business that we're working on and the Chinese." The facts surrounding this corruption come from at least four sources: 1) Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee and the Senate Committee on Finance investigation; 2) HunterBiden's laptop; 3) Hunter Biden's former business partner Bevan Cooney, who is serving time for the very business dealings Hunter and he did; and 4) Bobulinski's emails and eyewitness accounts. These are four independent sources saying that Joe Biden is acompromised candidate. He cannot possibly represent America's interests without being leveraged by Russia, Ukraine and China. The president has been nominated for four differentNobel Prizes, including the Peace Prize, because of his efforts. Trump's negotiators convinced Sudan, one of Israel's most violent enemies, to join the circle by offering to take them off the terror list, if they complied with the stipulations of that newlyformed circle. Those within the six nations will derive economic benefits in trade and even US defensive weaponry purchase agreements by recognizing Israel and workingtoward a broader peace in the region. With Donald J. Trump's stunning accomplishments, it would in normal times mean he would be a shoo-in for reelection on November 3. But these are notnormal times. They are supernatural times, in that this Church Age (Age of Grace) is swiftly concluding, according to the convergence of many aspects of prophetic stage-setting we are witnessing. I have never believed the polls in these last two presidential elections. The mainstream media and their pollsters have proven time and time againto be exaggerating in favor of Trump's opponents at best, and outright lying at worst. They continue to be doing the same while we approach what is being called the most important election in the nation's history. I don't think that is hyperbole. Watching the carnage being wreaked upon American cities, the debauchery of the culture, the educational lies beingtaught the next generations of Americans, and other evils too numerous to mention, this election is supremely important. This president seems possessed of an energy that defies all physiological and biological laws. He has been attacked from every angle every hour ofevery day for more than four years, yet is still in office and growing stronger every day, it seems. He recovered from the dreaded coronavirus in record time-so fast, in fact, that many who hate him and stated that they wanted him to die of the virusbelieves he never even had it but used the "miraculous recovery" just to enhance his reelection bid. Donald J. Trump is in the place the Lord of Heaven has determined he will be for this moment so near the time of the Rapture and the Tribulation. A vote for Trump, it should seem to everyone, is a vote for peace. Peace in that the culture will be brought into a more tranquil time than his opponentswould inspire. Peace in terms of world peace and particularly peace involving God's chosen people, Israel, and all of the Middle East. But, this is serious misconception, as I will explain at the conclusion. Mr. Trump, as I've written many times, is not a godly man. But he is God's man. He is in the position as the most powerful leader on earth at presentbecause God has deemed it to be so. This is true for many reasons. Most of those reasons, no doubt, are far beyond our ability or need to know. But the fact that Trump is in the positionhe is in and has to this point been unmovable out of that place makes me, at least, believe that he is there, at this time, to be part of the unfolding of the very end of this quickly fleeting age. Chief among the reasons, I'm of the growing opinion, is that he is the one man the Lord, in His omniscience, knows can construct the peace that willprove the instrumentality to bring Israel-His chosen people-to the point of repentance. They will at last see Jesus for who He is as they see their Messiah returning from Heaven on a white steed, followed by an Army dressed in white (Revelation 19:11). So, I do not say that voting for Trump is truly a vote for the kind of peace the world needs. Only Christ, the Prince of Peace, can produce true peacein the human heart. Donald Trump, by seeking earthly peace, genuinely wants to make life better for people of Israel and the Middle East, I have no doubt. He wants peacefor the United States and all people of the world. He is my choice for president as strongly as I can state it as November 3 looms. But the peace that will eventuate during the coming Tribulation from these "Deal of the Century" initiatives at present is destined to be a peace thatdestroys many, as we are told in Isaiah 28:15, 18. Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shallnot come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves... And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shallbe trodden down by it. Keep in mind that God is in absolute control of all of this. He has ordained it to happen-howsoever it happens-as part of His great plan to redeemIsrael as well as all who will believe in His Son Jesus Christ for salvation. That's kind of how the next three articles will attempt to do, in a less grandiose fashion of course as we apply his methodologyof untangling the web of deceit that has been over-laid on humanity to the material at hand. If I may add one additional allusion, in the movie "The Matrix", the main character 'Neo', played by Keanu Reeves wakes up oris woken up from reality, only to realize that what he thought was reality is the façade and the reality is much, much worse. Most people go through this life thinking that this is all there is, or that if it can't be put into a test tube and scrutinizedsix ways to Sunday by a team of scientists, it doesn't exist. But we (bible believing Christians) know that there is more to this life than what we see around us. We know that there is a God,and there are echelons of angelic and demonic beings that move in and out of this world unseen by the human eye. We know and trust that belief because the bible has not only validated itself, over and over through validation by history, archeology, and prophecybut because no man (or men) could have come up with a bible on their own. If they could have, they would have. In the bible, the God-Man we know as Jesus Christ spoke concerning the end times that above all, deception would be great. Sogreat in fact, that 'even the elect' would be deceived if it was possible. That is God saying that, not me. "And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you." (Matthew 24:4) So, in light of the fact that none of us can peek into the future, we have to trust God's word and take heed to the various warningsissued by Jesus, Peter, Paul, James, and John as given them by the Holy Spirit. So we go with what we know and make the best reasonable explanations that we can. One thing to consider though is that prior to the age of global communications and instant newsfeeds, the whole world couldn'tbe deceived. Too many people were disconnected from other parts of the world, so the majority of people would not know what deception was going on regardless of where it happened unless it specifically happened to them. We know (to the best of our ability) that the Beast is the governmental/political system headed by the Antichrist that takes controlduring the Tribulation. We currently live in the 'age of information' and believe this to be the same age in which our Lord will return for a whole host of reasons. The information age (and the rapidity in which knowledge doubles), is almost entirely reliant on the ability to process informationthrough the use of computers and the internet. Adding to that, think about the current administration and their over-arching agenda too: A. Blanket the entire US with free WI-FI B. Cement governmental control over who uses it, what they've seen, and what they can see Globalists seek to place the entire planet on the electronic grid. With the use of low orbiting satellites, and taking advantageof the newly freed-up 'white space' from television's frequency waves (since we've gone digital), this is a very achievable agenda. The initial plan was called 'WiMAX' but that fell through to 'LightSquared'. Regardless of what plan actually succeeds, theplans are in the works to get everyone on board and 'on the grid'. Remember a simple idea here, in that no matter what freebies are offered, or what promised legislation will fix, increased controlis the outcome of whatever plan is put forward. Wi-Fi may be offered as free, but it will come at the cost of your anonymity. Artificial Intelligence Now, think for a moment about the gigantic Google Corporation. They have been working on an Artificial Intelligence (AI) systemfor years now based on the studies that track all the trends, typed searches, information, street-views, maps, etc for the entire world. Google has more information at its disposal than all the libraries in the world combined. The owners of Google preempted public panic by declaring the AI known as 'CADIE' as an April fool's joke, but just imagine, ifthis thing "became" (maybe with a little supernatural help) self-aware and began taking over the global grid. Most of our public utilities and energy sources are controlled electronically already, but maybe "Sky Net" (Terminator movies) wasn't that far offthe mark after all? It seems silly, even fantastical for the most hardened skeptics out there, but it is not impossible. Considering that 20 yearsago, the idea of holding a computer/phone /GPS/gaming device in the palm of your hand seemed ludicrous, yet, here we are today. Most accredited universities have within their Computer Science departments, active programs for the creation of Artificial Intelligence.At some point, in the not too distant future, man is going to cross that technological threshold between fantasy and reality and launch a system that is 'self-aware'. Scary thought! Nephilim Many bible scholars attribute the statements Jesus made to end times of being similar to Noah's day (Matt 24:37-38, Luke 17:26-27)as veiled references to the return of the Nephilim (Hebrew for "Fallen Ones"). The supernatural has largely been hidden from man since biblical times, but here in the last 60 years or so, mankind has beenan eyewitness to increasingly strange goings-on in the sky and on the ground. The supernatural activity appears to be ramping up, and although widely accepted as plausible, no 100% verifiable proof has ever been substantiated. It is through movies and televisionthat mankind has been desensitized to the mysterious. Just like with horror movies, man has been given an increasingly larger, violent, and realistic version of the same monsters over and over. What scared audiences 30 years ago, makes today's audience's chuckle. "Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and falseprophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect." Matthew 24:23-24 Common themes amongst both horror and science fiction shows are alien invasions and global destruction events. They have to keeptopping the previous shows and movies so they are portrayed in more graphic and over the top sensationalistic ways to keep audiences coming back. This will have either one of two effects when fantasy does become reality: •Either man will be mesmerized at what they see (awestruck) •The deception will be subtle (acceptance of new normal) I think the latter of the two is Satan's preferred method, but considering the fact that Satan will realize he has but a shorttime, he will pull out all the stops. And this time, God will allow him to. Although we can only speculate as to what type of events will happen that aren't mentioned specifically in the Bible, we know what Satan has done in the past. God destroyed the world once because of the great wickedness and violence upon the face of the earth. Out of that (or maybe becauseof it), an unholy union between fallen angels and mankind created a hybrid race of creatures that were neither men nor angels. Only Noah was found 'perfect in his generations'. Many believe this to be a reference not to Noah's moral righteousness, but to his genetic purity. So it is interesting that Jesussaid that no flesh would survive if He did not cut short those days (Matthew 24:22). If God destroyed the world leaving only eight persons at the Flood, are we to not only consider weapons of mass destruction but also technology, like before the Flood, whichseeks to annihilate what it is to be human? Weird Science Mankind is currently involved in cross breeding animal-human hybrids. Man is constantly trying to push the boundaries betweenthe biological and the technological. There is coming a point when man will cross that line of no-return and this may in fact be the avenue in which man does it. Whenever modern man broke through other 'impossible' barriers that people said couldn't be done... it was done. And between man'sdesire to live forever through artificial means (trans-humanism and singularity) and AI's ability to solve seemingly unsolvable problems, it will be a Babel-like moment when God will have to step in and intervene, yet again. "And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing willbe restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.." Genesis 11:6 If mankind was capable of doing this many thousands of years ago, why does it seem unlikely that we couldn't achieve this againtoday in the Age of Information? God dispersed man and changed languages to avoid them coming together in unison outside of His will and His time schedule. Yet,we are at that same point today through the use of the internet and rapid technological breakthroughs. Knowledge builds upon previously discovered knowledge, so at the rate at which it is doubling and tripling, the time it takes to get there quickly diminishes. Replace 'magic' with technology, and add in some demonic influence and what you have is a recipe for evil incarnate perpetuatedby mass mediums to large swaths of people. Man's propensity for evil will have the modern capability to quickly incorporate and disseminate large sums of information and application to a much larger audience today than ever before. Remove God's hand of restraint from the world and the potential for wickedness will explode onto the world as not been seen sincethose doomed Antediluvian peoples of old. Part II A couple of weeks ago, I had a very vivid dream about this very subject. In fact, I woke up from it (3AM-ish) to scribble downsome notes. Normally, I don't remember my dreams, so it's a rare thing indeed for me to have one that vivid and also have the self-discipline to get up and actually write it down while simultaneously wiping the crusties from my eyes. I hope you'll join meon this excursion, and as always, a caveat to this interpretation: as the Apostle Paul succinctly put it, 'for now we see through a glass darkly'. (1 Corinthians 13:9-12) Most scholars assumed that Mystery Babylon was simply the accompanying religious system that the Beast uses to promulgate his/theirmadness upon the peoples of the world. Yet, neither government nor religion causes people to be astonished since they have been ever-present with mankind down through the ages. It has to be something that either the world has never seen before, or it is somethingthat has not been seen for a LONG time and is present again in today's day and age. Two verses jump out at me that I think although they are of different topics, they're very much connected. "Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number[is] Six hundred threescore [and] six." Revelation 13:18 "And here [is] the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth." Revelation 17:9 Both instances call the reader to reckon a special understanding of what John was speaking of. One has to deal with a specificnumber that will be utilized by the entire world in all manners of financial transactions and as a matter of loyalty and worship. The other, is describing Mystery Babylon, and in this, John marveled at it: "And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wonderedwith great admiration." Revelation 17:6 Greek Lexicon for the Textus Receptus version: megas thauma = great admiration 1) a wonderful thing, a marvel 2) wonder a) to wonder [with great wonder i.e.] exceedingly The NIV states that John was 'astonished'. The ESV records it as 'marveled greatly'. The NASB states it as 'wondered greatly',so based on the context and the other translations; we can dismiss number one from the Greek Lexicon here as a possible alternative. Apparently, this is something that really blew John away, which is saying a lot, considering all he had already been witness to.The angel goes on to tell him about what the Mystery is: "And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carriethher, which hath the seven heads and ten horns. The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder..." Revelation 17:7-8 So what is Mystery Babylon? Unlike the beast, she is not a government. She rides the beast: •She sits on many waters; meaning she is global. Verse 15 confirms this. (vs. 1) •Kings have committed fornication with her, and the people of the world have been made drunk by the wine of her fornication; meaning mankind has not only gotten drunk, but hasreceived "the bite", by her addictive lies. (vs. 2) ("the bite"= alcoholic term for hopelessly addicted) •She sits upon the 'scarlet covered beast' full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns, meaning, she fully embraces a plurality of gods and beliefs, and implementedby the antichrist's governmental system. (vs. 3) •She herself, is wrapped in purple and scarlet, holding a golden cup full of abominations, meaning she will be greatly lavished (this system) with great wealth and holds to thisdiabolical lie that tolerates everything, except Jesus Christ. (vs. 4) "And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH." Revelation17:5 •She is called 'Mystery', which means she is not the literal Babylon, but a symbolic picture of representing the 'Babylonian' system of control in which has enslaved the worldfrom the beginning. •She is called "Mother of Harlots and Abominations of the earth", meaning she is the originator of all false doctrines. Every evil and insidious religion, doctrine, belief systemhas their roots in her, regardless of where they are, or who started them. We know this because, Satan is the "Father of Lies" and if it is not of God, it's from Satan. And what was the first lie? Genesis 3:4-5 says: "And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyesshall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil." Every religion and belief system, not based around the Gospel of Jesus Christ, inherently promotes this notion that we can beas gods. It is bathed in pride and sprinkled gratuitously with the idea that man can achieve salvation without God's help. It was the lie that led to God destroying the world by a global flood. It led God to separate mankind at Babel. It led to the destructionof Sodom and Gomorrah. It led to God having to come down here in person, and sacrifice Himself so those who believed could be saved. Mystery Babylon is the lie that man can be as a god. She rides the revived Roman Empire while shrouding herself with the Babelglobalist's mantra of, one race. "And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth." Revelation 17:18 It's not until Revelation 17:18 that the woman finally described as 'that great city' who controls all the kings of the world. Only two cities are called 'that great city' in the Bible; Nineveh and Babylon. She is a system of control over the rulers ofthe earth. At the Tower of Babel, mankind united under the world's first dictator, Nimrod. Mankind, united outside of the will of God, is a disastrous thing to behold indeed. God knew back at the Tower of Babel, that mankind under the leadership of a singleman, would have reaped apocalyptic judgment back then. It was God's mercy, not cruelty that separated mankind to prevent us from destroying ourselves many thousands of years ago. Conclusion It is likely, that since the global infrastructure for global worship is already in place via the Roman Catholic Church network(more so than any other single religion) that this could easily and readily be put in place through the church as the mechanism of implementation. Granted, any church still remaining beyond the rapture will likely be incorporated into this system, but the Roman Catholic Churchalready has a global reach and doctrinally doesn't have any qualms about re-writing their doctrine to stay relevant during this time. *Not saying that all Roman Catholics are a part of this system, rather, the system itself is what I am referencing. The papacy has already shown a great willingness to compromise doctrinal beliefs to accommodate Islam and Protestants alike ina misguided effort to promote ecumenism. As the EU waffles, the US sinks, and the 'Arab Spring' disintegrates, the Union for the Mediterranean (UofM) will take on moresignificant responsibility in stabilizing the region, ultimately fulfilling the role of the revived Roman Empire. When the US collapses, what's left of our government may cede control of our military assets to NATO and the European Union, of which to preventthem (military weapons) from falling into the hands of rogue 'terrorists'. Within the UofM, contains the previous ancient dynasties of Egypt, Greece, Rome, Persia, and Assyria (Syria). The "Arab Spring"will shake up the current power holders in the Middle East and fill the vacuum with leaders who are willing to take war to Israel. In lieu of their biblically prophetic defeats, most likely the UofM will be there to reorganize the pieces, just like they didafter the Ottoman Empire's defeat at the end of World War I. And since Rome is the geographical hub there, it seems logical that it would also serve as its headquarters for both the religiousand economic center that can control and direct this resurrected empire. Maybe this was why John was astonished. At the time he recorded this (95AD), the Church in Rome was still Christian. You spend a couple of hours loading your cart up with goodies, you go to check outand your card is declined. How do you feel? Embarrassed, and then angry? Especially when you KNOW you have money in the bank. So next, you excuse yourself real quick and you run over to an ATM to draw some cash out, but the same thing happens, no moneyand no service. Now what? Maybe you'll call the bank and give them a good 'whatfor' or you'll just tell the teller that something has come up and you will not be needing the groceries, either way, you walk out empty-handed. Now imagine, that you can't do ANYTHING from filling up your car with gas to paying your bills because your currency is no longervalid. Oh, and by the way, your no longer receiving a paycheck from your employer. You have to have this thing put on your hand or forehead to buy, sell, pay bills, buy groceries, hold a job, pay your mortgage,or anything else that requires a financial transaction for goods or services rendered. That's what it will be like when this kicks off inside the Tribulation. Men, women, families once of good standing (with excellent credit scores to boot) suddenly find themselves the people they oncelooked down on with pity. But, all you have to do is put this new mark put on your forehead or hand (it really is painless) and all of your former luxuries will be restored. Oh, and by the way, once you do this, you'll be making the WORST decision in the historyof mankind. At best, you'll be trading in 7 years of comfort, for eternity in torment and darkness. At worst, you probably won't even live out the full 7 years. Sounds like a bargain huh? Well, there is coming a day and age when this will become reality. Oh, it may not happen lickety-split overnight, but changesare coming. Kinda like how the music industry quit making cassette tapes and moved over to Compact Discs. At some point, all the cassette tapes are relegated to the dust bin and no one is making them anymore. You have NO choice butto buy a new radio that plays CDs. Or like when television left analog and went strictly digital. Did you have any say in it? No. When the time comes for this 'new and improved' way of living/shopping/security/freedom comes about, either you get on board oryou get left behind. And by behind, I mean, utterly left to either starve or be killed by a tyrannical government. There is really great article that does an outstanding job in covering this topic. My intent here is not to reveal some deeplyhidden mystery that only I am privy to (cause I'm not), but to share some thoughts peripheral to this event. With the body of Christ removed at the Rapture, what semblance of organized "Christianity" that remains, will be both Christ-lessand incapable of offering a path to salvation that holds to its ecumenical swayings. I offered up Roman Catholicism, simply because they're the most global "Christian" organization in the world. They've not shown any qualms or regret in the past in eitherkilling true believers (Crusades, Inquisitions) or from embracing non-Christian beliefs in order to stay relevant (Paganism/Islam). Chrislam anyone? Mormonism may play a prominent role in this time as well, since they share such a striking similarity to Islam, embracing bothuniversalism and to an extent, pantheism and will probably be the most organized and intact American religious system left standing, post-Rapture. Either way, what is left is an empty shell of pure religiosity that will be used as a tool to prepare the worldto worship the satanically indwelt Antichrist himself. That leaves only the practical matter of enforcement of said worship. The mark is not just a system of worship; it is a systemof control. Satan is not God, and at best, can only try to mimic God which is what he attempts to do with the mark. God has and does markthose that belong to Himself. (Deut 6:8; Ez 9:4; 2 Cor 1:21-22; Eph 1:13; Rev 7:3) Satan counters with a system that is emplaced by the Antichrist as a logical, pragmatic choice to many of the world's problems.The world's economic systems are currently being shaken down so that it only leaves the mark as the only practical solution. How does the world get out of the current financial quagmire that it is in? It is completely unrealistic to think the US couldpay off 16 Trillion dollars (let alone 65 Trillion in unfunded liabilities). Our citizens have become dependent on many of the entitlement programs that have put a majority of the country on life-support. If the government threatened to; a) impose huge cuts to MEDICAID, MEDICARE, Welfare, and Social Security in order to pay down the debt, or b) move off the dollar to a new system where no cuts were needed, I believe the US population would overwhelmingly elect the latter. Greece, Paris, and London are just tiny microcosms of what we could expect in every major city, if strict austerity measures wereput in place. But it's not only the US but the entire world that finds itself in the same debt-laden boat. The problem with the US though, isthat we are supposed to be the big pole in the tent that holds up the whole show. If we go down, (as a witness to the 2008 financial collapse) we'll drag the world down with us. Nations like Brazil, Russia, China, and France have only recently expressed openly, a desire to move away from the dollar intoa basket of currencies. Whether it is a digital credit, special drawing rights, or a new currency altogether such as the Phoenix, they will all fail. That is not my opinion on the matter that comes straight out of the Bible. The world ends up in one globalsystem, run by one man, using one currency. "And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescoreand six." Revelation 13:16-18 The Man Many theories are out there as to who this man (Antichrist) is. Speculation aside, there is only one man named in scriptures whosenumber adds up to 666, and that is through the number of family members he has. "The children of Adonikam, six hundred sixty and six." Ezra 2:13 This man's descendants were among those Jews that had been taken captive by the Babylonians under King Nebuchadnezzar, and thesewere the remnant who was returning to Jerusalem at the end of their captivity. I do not know if one of this man's descendants turns out to be the Antichrist or the False Prophet, but I do know that the Jews would never accept a man as Messiah who was not Jewish. All we really know is that the Apostle Paul stated that he (the Antichrist) would not be revealed until the Restrainer (the HolySpirit) is removed (2 Thess 2:7-8). But to point out one last thing, Paul called the Antichrist the 'Son of Perdition'. The only other person called that in scriptureswas Judas Iscariot (John 17:12). It's not any stretch of the imagination to assume that Paul was familiar with who Judas was, and what he did. If we are to remain true to the symbolism used in Revelation, we then understand that in Chapter 13, the Beast that rises up outof the sea (sea=gentile nations) is a Gentile. The Beast that rises up out of the land (land=Israel) is a Jew (the False Prophet). Maybe the False Prophet is hailed as the Messiah, but he, in turn, directs worship to the Antichrist who the Jews reject (fornot being Jewish) which is why he commits the Abomination of Desolation spoken of in Matthew 24:15 and 2 Thessalonians 2:4 like his much earlier predecessor Antiochus Epiphanes IV (Daniel 11:30-32). But those refusing to worship him will have to suffer death or starvation for not receiving the mark since they will not be ableto buy or sell. In order for that to be a threat, the technology first needs to exist to make that possible. We've spent the last 40 years beingprimed for this kind of system. From the gold standard to the fiat system at a national level to the personal desensitization through the use of credit and debit cards, online banking, and moving the society off of cash to plastic. We've also had the conditioningin place by getting us used to instant (food, service, and solutions) and by marketing and advertisements that continually sell us the notion that we deserve the best, and nothing less will do. The mark of the beast will obviously not be labeled as such, nor its consequences, but will be presented as the most logical,reasonable way forward in troubled times. We know that the mark is not used prior to the Tribulation, so whatever technologies are currently out there today (and there are many now that could fit the bill) are just being staged for the right 'crisis' to implementthem when the time is right. Assuming that the Rapture of the Church is the trigger that causes the worldwide chaos, I foresee a couple of possible avenues. * If the Rapture is a standalone event, aside from the immediate effects of wrecks, looting, fires, etc.. it will trigger an economic avalanche of panic in the US due to the sudden removal of millions of consumers, employers, employees, tax/mortgage/billpayers that will put the already fragile economy into panic mode. The government will bypass the constitution and move to join an economic union. * If the Rapture is accompanied by some other cataclysmic event (EMP/Solar storm, nuclear or dirty bomb, or mega-thrust earthquake), the US may cede control of the government to the EU "temporarily" until the US can get back on its feet. For those who are not taken in the Rapture, they can expect to be subjugated from the Wrath of the Lamb and an onslaught of satanicterror here on earth. For those who fall in line and take the mark, they can expect the following: * Eternal damnation (Rev 14:11) * Drink from the cup of indignation (unmixed) the wine of the wrath of God (Rev 14:10) * Grievous Sores (Rev 16:2) * Torment on earth (painful darkness, heat, 100 lb hailstones) (Rev 16:8, 10-11, 21) Is it worth it? Are even the worst 7 years of your life worth an eternity in hell, let alone the hell on earth you will face ifyou 'opt-out' for a few years of momentary comfort here on earth? Would you spend a million dollars on a car that you could only drive for a day? Probably not, so why would you take something infinitely worse? The technology exists today, the hour is late,and our Lord and Savior is returning just like He said He would.
