As Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah previously acknowledged: "Our goal, which we have no choice but to adopt due to our ideological beliefs, is the project of the Islamic State of Lebanon... Not as a separate Islamic Republic butas a part of a 'Great Islamic Republic,' ruled by (former Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah) Khomeini." Lately, several of Iran's terror cells have been caught in foreign nations. On September 29, 2020, Saudi Arabia broke up an Iranian-trained cell, arrested 10 people andseized weapons and explosives. These included "electrical components used in the making of explosives such as capacitors, transformers and resistors, gunpowder, chemicals, Kalashnikov rifles, guns, sniper rifle, live ammunition, machine guns, blades, militaryclothes, and wireless communication devices." The terrorist cell exposed in September, according to a statement issued by Saudi Arabia's Presidency of State Security, was trained by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps(IRGC), and had received "military and field training, including on how to make explosives." Meanwhile, Bahrain's Ministry of the Interior revealed last month that early this year it had foiled a terrorist attack by a group also backed by the IRGC. The group, calledthe "Qassem Soleimani Brigade," had apparently been planning to attack several security and public structures in Bahrain. In October 2019, Albanian General Police Director Ardi Veliu revealed in that the country's security institutions had detected an active cell of the foreign operations unitlinked to the Iranian Quds Force. He warned: "The Albanian authorities have identified these individuals and thanks to intelligence from informants inside the criminal organizations have prevented the plan (attack)of March 2018 and the eventual planning of attacks by organized crime members ... on behalf of Iran." The Iranian regime has also been setting up terror cells in Africa to attack Western targets. In June 2019, the Daily Telegraph reported that a "new terror network has beenestablished on the orders of Qassem Suleimani, the head of the Quds Force, the elite section of Iran's Republican Guard Corps that has responsibility for overseas operations." Six months later, Qassem Soleimani was killed under a direct order from US PresidentDonald J. Trump. Iran's terror cells also, it seems, aim to subvert other governments by carrying out assassinations. It was revealed last month, for instance, that Iran was weighing anassassination attempt against the US ambassador to South Africa, Lana Marks -- and that it was a terror plot in which the Iranian embassy in Pretoria was involved. Iran has previously been accused, as well, of failed plans to bomb Saudi and Israeli embassies and, in 2011, to assassinate Adel Al-Jubeir, Saudi Arabia's Ambassador tothe US at the time. An investigation revealed, in addition, that it was Iran that ordered the 2005 assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, and was also implicated in the 9/11 attacks. In 2018, US Judge George Daniels issued an order statingthat Iran was liable, as its support for Al-Qaeda had allowed the terrorist attacks to take place. In 2018, the Iranian regime tried to orchestrate a terrorist operation in Europe: French officials foiled a planned bomb attack in Paris against a large "Free Iran" conventionheld by people opposing the regime, and attended by many high-level speakers, including former US House of Representatives Speaker Newt Gingrich, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and former Canadian Foreign Minister John Baird, as well as your humblecorrespondent. Iran's terror cells and proxies, which have total loyalty to Iran, most likely receive direct orders and instructions from the "Supreme Guide" Ali Khamenei. Khamenei also gave approval for last year's attack on Saudi Arabia's oil installations at Abqaiq and Khurais, according to the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI),which previously disclosed Iran's clandestine nuclear sites in Natanz and Arak. NCRI stated: "After Khamenei's initial approval of this operation detailed planning began and the SNSC (Iran's Supreme National Security Council) referred the plan to Khamenei for finalapproval. Khamenei ordered IRGC Maj. Gen. (Gholam) Rashid and Brig. Gen. (Amir-Ali) Hajizadeh to begin the operational implementation of the plan." Iranian terrorist "sleeper cells" are reportedly continuing to operate in the US, according to intelligence officials and security experts. The Iranian regime is also continuingto target Latin American countries, where it dispatches its agents (specifically from Hezbollah), creates terror cells, and trains militias. By turning a blind eye to the Iranian regime's terror activities in foreign countries and by refusing to open investigations or even condemn the mullahs, the United Nationsis complicit in Iran's malign behavior across the globe. Perhaps it is time for the US to "pay for what it wants" from the UN, rather than automatically handing it billions, more than a fifth if its budget, every year -- and to make sure America gets whatit pays for? He addressedthe soldiers there and urged them to "maintain a state of high alert" and "put all their minds and energy on preparing for war." He urged soldiers to be "absolutely loyal" and "reliable" in these times. Jinping did not elaborate on why he needed to voice those words now. He hasalso recently made and delivered more aggressive and direct statements by CCP members and even Chinese military members. Why would Chinese President Xi urge soldiers to prepare for war? It may surprise many readers that the Chinese President would be so bold as to suggest that war is on the horizon. After all, it's undeniable thatthe United States, Western Europe, and the United Nations built China from the blood-soaked nation of Communist horror that it was into the industrial powerhouse that it is today. Western nations, particularly the United States, did so by sending essential manufacturing jobs to China. The U.N. allowed China to join the WTO asa "developing" nation. That description still maintains today. Despite all the international assistance China has received in building itself up to today's powerhouse, China has always preferred to play the long game. Preparing to become the leader of theworld's affairs and eventually even dominate the United States. Is China on the verge of becoming the world's superpower? After the United States squandered its credibility, economy, and manpower in wars overseas, it seems even more likely China will do just that. TheUnited States' struggles may be just the opening China needs to advance the Made in China 2025 strategy, an attempt to become the world's superpower in technology, manufacturing, and cybertechnology. Part of their strategy is to buy up Western businesses. While the West has been shipping jobs overseas, even manufacturing sectors that are important to national security like medical supplies, China ispoised to assume its global standard-bearer role. China has been preparing to take the United States down for at least twenty years. "Unrestricted Warfare," the book written by two Chinese colonels, Qiao Liang and Wang Xiangsui, focuses on how China can defeat an opponentseen as technologically superior, such as the United States. Keep in mind Unrestricted Warfare was written in 1999, before China's leap forward in technological and military development. Still, the book doesnot focus on direct military vs. military war doctrine but a victory with the absence of military involvement. Keep in mind this book and its description of these tactics was written twenty years ago. What are some of these 20-year-old methods mentioned? Trade War - "Some of the means used include: the use ofdomestic trade law on the international stage; the arbitrary erection and dismantling of tariff barriers; the use of hastily written trade sanctions; the imposition of embargoes on exports of critical technologies; the use of the Special Section 301 law; andthe application of most-favored-nation (MFN) treatment, etc., etc. Anyone of these means can have a destructive effect that is equal to that of a military operation." Notice that the authors mention trade wars, which are taking place today between China and the U.S. A "trade war" became a necessity if one wantedto claw back the jobs sent to China decades ago since China would not let them go back willingly. It also points out how removing tariffs and "Most-Favored-Nation" trade status used as weapons. Financial War - What is more, such a defeat on the economicfront precipitates a near-collapse of the social and political order. The casualties resulting from the constant chaos are no less than those resulting from a regional war, and the injury done to the living social organism even exceeds the injury inflictedby a regional war. Many have suggested that WWIII would be an economic one. China was clearly paying attention to the Western tactics used worldwide then (and currentlystill being used) to destroy sovereign governments who refused to follow Washington's dictates. Today's China has been hard at work with the same tactics, creating its version of the book's foundations. Terrorism - Due to the limited scale of a traditional terrorwar, its casualties might well be fewer than the casualties resulting from a conventional war or campaign. Nevertheless, a traditional terror war carries a stronger flavor of violence. Moreover, in terms of its operations, a traditional terror war is neverbound by any of the traditional rules of the society at large. From a military standpoint, then, the traditional terror war is characterized by the use of limited resources to fight an unlimited war. This characteristic invariably puts national forces in an extremely unfavorable position even before War breaks out, since national forces must alwaysconduct themselves according to certain rules and therefore are only able to use their unlimited resources to fight a limited war. Many terrorist organizations and attacks, such as the simultaneous attacks on the U.S. embassies in Nairobi and Dar es Salaam are mentioned in thisportion of the book. Also mentioned are terrorists using new high technologies combined with their other methods. The authors even said these new technologies would evolve into superweapons. Terrorism and urban warfare described in these paragraphs may have seemed impossible to create on a massive scale in the United States before and evenafter 9/11. However, decades of economic decay, destruction of the family unit, degradation of the education system, mainstream media, and social media outlets have combined to create the perfect storm for violence. One need only look as far as the recent battles in most major American cities' streets to see that such urban warfare and abject chaos are beginningto take hold in the United States. Ecological War - Ecological War refers to a new type ofnon-military warfare in which modern technology is employed to influence the natural state of rivers, oceans, the crust of the earth, the polar ice sheets, the air circulating in the atmosphere, and the ozone layer. By methods such as causing earthquakes and altering precipitation patterns, the atmospheric temperature, the composition of the atmosphere, sea levelheight, and sunshine patterns, the earth's physical environment is damaged or an alternate local ecology is created. Perhaps before very long, a man-made El Nino or La Nina effect will become yet another kind of superweapon in the hands of certain nationsand/or non-state organizations. This one is interesting. The Chinese military knows and is willing to speak openly about a human-made superweapon used to damage the earth. Meanwhile,Western governments continue to claim this is "conspiracy theory" nearly twenty years on. Are there any other tactics mentioned? Psychological War - "Spreading rumors to intimidate theenemy and break down his will" (Example) Smuggling War - "Throwing markets into confusion and attackingeconomic order" Media War - "Manipulating what people see and hear in orderto lead public opinion along" (Example) Drug War - "obtaining sudden and huge illicit profits byspreading disaster in other countries" Network War - "Venturing out in secret and concealing onesidentity in a type of warfare that is virtually impossible to guard against" (Example) Technological War - "creating monopolies by setting standardsindependently" Fabrication War - "presenting a counterfeit appearanceof real strength before the eyes of the enemy" Resources War - "grabbing riches by plundering stores ofresources" Economic Aid War - "bestowing favor in the open and contrivingto control matters in secret" Cultural War - "leading cultural trends along in orderto assimilate those with different views" (Example) International Law War - "seizing the earliest opportunity to set up regulations" China is contributing and benefiting from America's chaos Brandon Turbeville warned of these strategies in his articles, where he pointed out the Chinese long game. Like the United States, it is a game ofempire, but it is the tortoise instead of the hare. China has finally seen the finish line. America is burning its credibility overseas with each bombed dropped, and it is wasting its valuable resourcesin the process. It is drumming up hatred and driving developing nations into the arms of China as it threatens and proceeds to overthrow sovereign governments. Though improving under the Trump administration's meager implementation of Americanist policies, its economy is a shell of its former self. The Americanpeople are more divided than ever, thanks to the insidious mainstream corporate media. Has a war started without a shot being fired? China did not cause any of this, but we have to be smart enough to realize that it is and will continue to benefit them and they will take advantageof it. Trump and the challenger, former Vice-President Joe Biden, haveindicated that no matter what the election results are around November 3, they intend to negotiate with Iran. Even if the United States secured a new nuclear agreement with Iran, or resuscitated the old one, what makes anyone think that Iran would honor adeal any more than it honored the last ones? US choices seem to come down to : (1) keeping the current JCPOA, a seriously deficient semi-agreement that, contrary to what waspromised by the Obama administration -- that it would prevent Iran from having a nuclear bomb, instead leads straight to Iran's having as many as it would like; or (2) pin US hopes on a wholesale campaign of diplomatic, political, and economic sanctions againstIran in the hope that Iran might secure an internally generated revolution and overthrow the mullah's regime. There are those who say that the current nuclear deal is the best option for the United States. They assert without a doubt thatgoing back to the JCPOA will bring Iran into complete compliance with a non-nuclear future. One adherent of such an approach is apparently former Vice President Joe Biden, with whom the Iranians say, understandably to judge from his financial track record,they would rather "do business." The defects of the current JCPOA deal are real. As Ambassador Eric Edelman and retired General Chuck Wald recently explained,Iran's search for a nuclear-capable missile was actually given an impetus by the current deal, including a provision ending the UN arms embargo against Iran. The current deal is even worse, given Iran's ongoing space launch and missile production. One expertdescribed them as a "... a crucial building block establishing a global range nuclear missile force..." to say nothing of the potential for stimulating or even underwriting nuclear proliferation. How then can the United States get around the Iranian regime's adamant opposition to any restrictions on its nuclear or missileambitions and secure a sound nuclear deal? First, tough ongoing and snap-back economic sanctions have significantly reduced Iranian support for its terror proxies in Syria,Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen and the Gaza Strip. Second, U.S. domestic production, and especially fracking, have reduced oil and gas prices by upwards of fifty percent from adecade ago. Those circumstances have insulated the U.S. economy from Middle East oil price shocks including those from Iran, should Iran seek to disrupt oil transport though the Strait of Hormuz or attack Gulf oil storage or export facilities. Third, the U.S. has created a significantly better armed coalition of allied nations including Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Israel,which are now vastly more able to counter Iran's malignant behavior in the Middle East. Regional U.S. military commander Gen. Kenneth McKenzie, for instance, has explained that Iranian-created tensions have ebbed. Some coalition members have, in fact, adoptedunprecedented formal peace agreements with Israel. Fourth, America's successful destruction of the ISIS "caliphate" removed a major source of Middle East instability and allowedthe U.S. to focus on Iran's threat. Fifth, the U.S. took out Iran's top terrorist leader -- General Qassem Soleimani -- thereby proving to the Iranian mullahs andUS allies that the America, at least under the current administration, means business. Sixth, and perhaps most importantly, more and more expert analysts have determined the JCPOA was an extremely toxic agreement;fatal flaws identified by the Israelis years ago have now been confirmed. Even if these six factors may now make it possible to give "diplomacy a chance," it might be advisable only to try that routeif it is reinforced with resolute military force. Of what should a sound nuclear deal with Iran consist? First, there should be five principal prohibitions: •No right to enrich. •No right to advanced centrifuges. •No right to offensive ballistic missiles. •No right to sunset provisions. •No right to terrorism. The original JCPOA gave Iran the right to enrich uranium -- a right that no other non-nuclear member of the Nuclear Non-ProliferationTreaty had ever been granted. With no right to enrich, possessing advanced uranium centrifuges have no legitimate purpose. With no nuclear warheads in Iran's future, ballistic missiles with which to carry such warheads also become unnecessary. Given the seriousness of these issues and the lack of trust in the mullahs, all provisions must not have "sunset clauses" butbe permanent. Finally, if Iran wants to "do business" as a normal nation state, the mullahs must also reject their jihadist agenda. There areno legitimate grievances that justify Iran's terrorism. Any normalization must also include reparations paid to American victims of Iranian terrorism. The principles for such a deal with a possible chance for tenuous success are well known; the real question seems if anyone incharge of Iran will actually abide by them. Iran may indeed reject any deal outright. Is there a third way? The JCPOA it is not only a fraud, it is camouflage for the appeasers of the world to pretend they are doing something about Iran'snuclear ambitions when in fact they are not doing anything but allowing Iran, after a short delay, to have nuclear weapons. So, keeping the JCPOA deal means that the mullahs get nuclear weapons; waiting for the mullahs to come to their senses also meansthat the mullahs, down the road, get nuclear weapons. The mullahs will not change on their own. Diplomatic options are poor and unrealistic. The JCPOA deal not only fails to stop Iran from having a nuclear weapons and the missiles to deliver them, it also hides Westerninaction in confronting Iran's missiles, nuclear sites and terrorism. This principle is founded on the notion that a nuclear attack byone superpower would be met with an overwhelming nuclear counterattack such that both the attacker and the defender would be annihilated. For about two years I've been reading about the Russians' advancement in hypersonic missiles. I didn't understand the significance of Moscow's ability to deliver nuclear weapons at vastlyfaster speeds until I watched a recent YouTube news video on the subject. If a conventional nuclear missile is launched against a target in the US from Russia, it would take about 30 minutes for the missile to travel from Russia to the US. A hypersonic missile cancut this travel time down by several minutes. Because a hypersonic missile can fly at a very low altitude, it can avoid radar detection. This means an attack on Western targets can occur within a few minutes. A Russian nuclear submarine off the coast of Louisiana could strike at Offutt, AFB command system in Nebraska and take out our ability to launch a counter strike. In 1948, Air Force SecretaryStuart Symington chose to headquarter the Air Force's crucial long-range atomic strike force at Offutt primarily because the base was centrally located on the North American continent - placing it well beyond the existing range of potentially hostile bombersor missiles. The planes that transmit launch codes would be able to get airborne before Offutt was destroyed by a nuclear strike. A hypersonic missile would now be able to span the 850 miles distance betweenOffutt and the Gulf of Mexico in less than eight minutes. Since it would take three minutes to sound the alarm, there would not be enough time to get the doomsday planes into the sky. The president and the Pentagon would have almost no time to react. Being only a few miles from the Atlantic Ocean, a hypersonic missile attack would take out the DC area at a speed measuredin seconds. A surprise attack on the organizations that have the launch codes could leave the US unable to carry out a retaliatory strike. Our submarines could be sitting under the Baltic sea with no way to return fire to the enemy. As it became clear that command and control units could be easily wiped out, the ability to launchmissiles would have to be greatly relaxed. I was stationed at Offutt for 19 of 20 years of military service. I remember we had an airborne command post, called the Looking Glass, flying 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. After the demiseof the Soviet Union, it was decided that is safe enough to end the continuous flights. We may need to relaunch Looking Glass with time for a nuclear reaction cut to just a few minutes. During the Cold War there were several times when various glitches caused false alarms thatled to the contemplation of the nuclear option. The Russian advancement in hypersonic missiles has spurred the need for us to develop this technology. The US Air Force is moving forward with a new hypersonic missile that it says can strikea target 1,000 miles away in under 12 minutes, reported Air Force Magazine. The hypersonic missile would be able to fly between 5,000 and 6,000 mph, or roughly between Mach 6.5 and Mach 8, to strike a target at that distance. Bible prophecy clearly implies that humanity will largely destroy itself with nuclear weapons during the Tribulation. Isaiah 13:12 says that man will become "more rare than fine gold." Zechariah14 seems to give a firsthand view of a nuclear holocaust. The graphic descriptions in this ancient prophecy are a good description of what would happen to people exposed to an atomic blast: "Now this will be the plague with which the LORD will strike all the peoples who have gone to war against Jerusalem; their flesh will rot while they stand on their feet, and their eyes willrot in their sockets, and their tongue will rot in their mouth. It will come about in that day that a great panic from the LORD will fall on them; and they will seize one another's hand, and the hand of one will be lifted against the hand of another. Judahalso will fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the surrounding nations will be gathered, gold and silver and garments in great abundance. So also like this plague will be the plague on the horse, the mule, the camel, the donkey and all the cattle thatwill be in those camps" (Zechariah 14:12-15).
