Righting a listing nation – Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com President Trump signed into law the $2.3 Trillion COVID Relief and Spending bill. What’s another $2.3 Trillion among friends, right? The window dressing on this socialistventure is that the president can go back to Congress and demand that wasteful spending be removed from the bill, that voter fraud be investigated and looking into holding liable big tech companies for content censoring. It also was agreed that every personreceive $2,000 and $5,200 for a family of four to offset financial difficulty experienced because of COVID. I know I’m going to get a lot of pushback from this, but the president should have never signed this bill. It is just another gear-tooth locked intosocialism and godlessness. Many Americans are angry and upset that Democrat bureaucrats and Democrat-majority court systems in swing states have suppressed evidence of changing election laws withoutthe consent of the legislators in those states. Many more Americans are troubled by reports of widespread voter fraud while media, politicians and court systems refuse to even consider the evidence of such. Still Americans are distraught about ongoing lockdowns,privacy invasion, and the possibility of being forced to take an unproven vaccination for the COVID flu. All these issues, and Congress elects to throw untold billions at foreign interests while providing so-called stimulus checks to businesses and individuals.It is untold billions because the bill itself is nearly 6,000 pages. Who really knows what is in it? Point is: Americans truly no longer have a say in their nation’s business. We are not confident that our votes count. Quasi-elected officials break the law by changing iton their own and suffer absolutely no consequences. And the politicians we ostensibly vote into office just spend money they don’t have, give businesses and individuals a little money, and send the rest overseas to who knows what purpose. This, my brothersand sisters, is nothing short of socialism. It crosses the lines. We are no longer a Constitutional Republic except in name. The Congress is out of control. The Courts are out of control. Government accountability is out of control. Have we lost what it isto be American? Have we lost what it is to be Christian? It is one thing to say that we are Americans or Christians, it is still another to actually live it. We have become such a large nation of diverse interests, that socialism is welcomed by many. Many say they are Christian, but their deeds say otherwise, and their doctrinesand beliefs belie the tenets of the faith. The two together have created a difficult situation. As we look toward 2021, we need to do a deep self-reflection of what we believe it means to be an American and a Christian, and begin to speak and act as such.Otherwise, the nation has no moral, ethical or fiscally responsible compass. As Christ said in Luke 12:48, “For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall much be required.” The ultimate gift of salvation comes with responsibility–showing love and respect,holding accountability, and leading others as Christ would have us lead. Only then can we right a listing nation and people. Smoke-filled backroom Bill Wilson www.dailyjot.com When we speak of politics being played in an ill-gotten manner, we think of big party bosses with cigars dangling out of their mouths in a smoke-filled backroom making dealsthat hurt some and help others. This is not, however, the modern version of smoke-filled backroom politics. Today, it�s much more sophisticated�voter machines that apparently weigh votes toward a candidate; dead people and illegals not only voting, but votingen masse through ballots that were sent without request and received without authentication, and courts with judges who rule based on party affiliation rather than the rule of law. This is where America stands today. It is where Republicans were taken to schoolby Democrats. It doesn't make it right. And it may be years from being exposed. But the bottom line here is that this presidential election and the upcoming Georgia senate election areexamples of how the Democratic Party used and is using its political boss prowess to take an election. The game plan was simple. Register as many people as possible and make sure their ballots are sent in and judges will take care of the rest. In short, theRepublicans knew it was coming. They complained about it early on. But they were inept at doing anything about it. They didn�t adjust. They didn�t counter. They, quite frankly, got out-smoked in the smoke-filled back room. �Unfair,� we shout. �Illegal,� weexclaim. Yes, on both accounts. But the burden of proof is on the Republicans who were flat-footed and erroneously relied on the rule of law when it came to voter fraud and well-placed judges, who sidedwith their democrat party and bent the law to justify the fraud. In politics it makes little difference whether it is legal or ethical, it�s whether you can get away with it. And that�s what has happened. We know the ultimate outcome is that unless these terribleshenanigans are corrected, Americans can rest assured that they will never elect another president or representative again. It will be determined by the backroom oligarchy, the puppeteers of special interest and globalism. The party affiliation might change�Bush,Clinton, Bush, Obama, but the agenda will, with little differences, remain the same. It isn�t right or just, but it is what is happening. We are seeing a real time example of Ephesians 6:12, For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darknessof this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.� The very next verse instructs us how to overcome this evil day by putting on the full armor of God and �having done all, to stand.� The ray of hope is that we as a nation are resilient. We have waysof correcting these problems. They take time. Laws will change. The political pendulum will swing. But we need to act with the full armor of God for all this to happen�belt of truth; breastplate of righteousness; shoes of the gospel of peace; the shield offaith; the helmet of salvation; and the sword of the Spirit.
