Are We Laodiceans?

Are We Laodiceans? Most would agree that we live in the fullness of the Laodicean attitude of God's church, and because we are alive now, it is safe to assume that we all have strong Laodicean proclivities. To believe otherwise is a presumption—which Psalm 19:13 warns us against—most of us had as members of the Worldwide Church of God. Seeing those results, it is too late in the day, and not very wise, to make the same mistake twice. To see where we stand, notice the example of someone most of us would agree was not a Laodicean. A speaker once reported that Herbert Armstrong said he always tried to be aware that he was in God's presence by constantly asking God for help. It was common for him to pray 30 or 40 times a day—short prayers asking for assistance with a decision, counseling a person, preparing an article or sermon, etc. Notice the advice he gave church members in the October 1957 Good News: You must go to a private place, alone with God, and have long talks with Him—yes, every day! Unburden your heart to Him. Take all your problems, your interests, your plans, your troubles to Him. Talk over everything with Him, continually. Then, even when going about your work—when walking down the street—when driving your car, or wherever you are or whatever you do, talk with God as you work or as you drive or walk along. Go to a private place, and kneel in prayer (on both knees) as often as you can, and at least once every day. But talk with God often in between. Pray without ceasing! (Emphasis ours.) What we see in Mr. Armstrong's example is one who opened the door to God and Christ at every opportunity because he believed, unlike Laodiceans, that he needed everything (John15:5). Notice what Christ wants from us Laodiceans: As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. (Revelation3:19-20) Christ wants a relationship—not just any relationship but a deep one that will last for eternity (John17:3). He wants a bride that cannot get enough of Him, not one that takes Him for granted. As we can see from Mr. Armstrong's example, he could not get enough of being in the presence of God and Christ. As Laodiceans, if we cannot rouse ourselves to open the door to Him at every opportunity, He will make one last attempt to rescue us—the fire of tribulation: I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. (Revelation3:18) Christ expects His future bride, the one He will spend eternity with, to love Him with as much zeal and passion as He loves us. He suffered torture and crucifixion so we could be His Bride. Using Herbert Armstrong's example, we can perform a simple daily test to determine how much Laodiceanism has infected us. At day's end, ask how much time we spent communicating with God and Christ and how much time They were in none of our thoughts (Psalm10:4). If we find ourselves short, the solution is simple: Repent and zealously build that relationship by increasing our contact. Besides the ideas suggested by Mr. Armstrong, we have many opportunities to acknowledge before God and Christ our need for everything. Notice the possibilities we have during our day for self-examination and walking and talking with God, foropening the door. When . . . . . . a family member or we leave the house, ask for protection. We should not take God's protection for granted (James4:13-15). And when all return home without incident, thank God for granting safety (Ephesians5:20). . . . faced with worry and anxiety, acknowledge God's presence and power (Psalm23:4). . . . someone we care about comes to mind, thank God for allowing them in our lives and pray for their protection and about any challenges they may be facing (Philippians1:3-4). . . . a difficult person comes to mind, pray about our attitude and for the wisdom to treat them as would be expected from a son of the Most High (Luke 6.35). . . . an enemy comes to mind, pray for them (Matthew5:44) instead of nursing ill feelings. . . . reaching for food that is not good for the body, acknowledge God's stern warning in I Corinthians 3:17. . . . faced with choices of right and wrong, ask for the will and power to do what pleases Him (Philippians2:13). . . . any decision needs to be made, acknowledge our desperate need for His guidance and direction (Proverbs3:5-6; James 1:5). . . . tempted not to work on essential items in our lives, ask for the strength and power to prioritize properly (Psalm68:35; Matthew 6:33). . . . our thoughts or words do not match the standards of Philippians 4:8, ask God for help to make them acceptable to Him (Psalm19:14). . . . seeing the beauty and complexity of nature, thank God for His creation (Psalm107:31). . . . something good happens, no matter how small, thank God for it (IThessalonians 5:18). . . . meeting people, ask for help to be an excellent example in word and deed (Mathew 5:14-16). . . . facing the distresses, anxieties, and problems of life, acknowledge God's promises and desire to rescue (Psalm34:4-10). . . . faced with indecision, ask for insight and guidance (Proverbs2:3-7). . . . dealing with a bad habit that blocks overcoming, acknowledge our need for God's presence (Psalm9:3). . . . at work, we can request help to respond appropriately in multiple situations with people, demands, workloads, and priorities (Proverbs16:3; Colossians 3:22-23). . . . driving amid the challenges of traffic, rude or dangerous driving, and other travel difficulties, request help not to return evil for evil in thought or deed (I Peter 3.9). . . . in contact with those in the world, especially when we require service, and frustration and anger begin to build, it is the perfect time to ask for God's help to respond appropriately (Proverbs16:32; Ecclesiastes 7:9). . . . someone asks for help, ask God to reveal what good work of service He has prepared beforehand for us to accomplish in this situation (Ephesians2:10). This list is not complete, but it is a beginning to show God that we realize how much we need Him and Christ to be intimately involved in the details of our lives. During our day, we can demonstrate our desire to walk with Them, to build therelationship by opening the door to Their presence at every opportunity. Now isthe time for deeds – words are not enough. It is time for diplomatic, economic and even military deeds, otherwise the attacks will continue." The Biden administration has been insisting on reviving the disastrous Obama nuclear deal and the theocratic establishment of Iran has evidently seen this as a perfect opportunityto buy time and inch closer to acquiring nuclear weapons. The Biden administration first showed its desperation by making it clear to the Iranian leaders that the US wanted to return to the nuclear deal and was willing to liftall sanctions re-imposed by the Trump administration. As nuclear talks began, the Iranian regime began advancing its nuclear program at a faster pace as the negotiations went on. The Biden administration not only remained silentin the face of Iran's violations, it also started offering even more concessions to the mullahs. The Biden administration, for instance, announced not only that it was willing to lift nuclear-related sanctions, but also that it was considering lifting non-nuclearrelated sanctions. Iran first began increasing uranium enrichment to 20% in January 2021. On January 9, the Iranian parliament passed a law requiring the government to expel the InternationalAtomic Energy Agency's nuclear inspectors. In April, the regime raised its uranium enrichment level to 60%, edging closer to weapons-grade levels. While his government was holding indirect nuclear talks with the Biden administration, Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf,speaker of Iran's parliament, bragged: "The young and God-believing Iranian scientists managed to achieve a 60% enriched uranium product. I congratulate the brave nation of Islamic Iran on this success. The Iraniannation's willpower is miraculous and can defuse any conspiracy." On July 6, while the Geneva nuclear talks were ongoing, the regime began producing enriched uranium metal. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the UN nuclearwatchdog group, warned: "Today, Iran informed the Agency that UO2 (uranium oxide) enriched up to 20 percent U-235 would be shipped to the R&D laboratory at the Fuel Fabrication Plant in Esfahan,where it would be converted to UF4 (uranium tetrafluoride) and then to uranium metal enriched to 20 percent U-235, before using it to manufacture the fuel." A joint statement issued by the UK, France and Germany agreed that the Iranian regime "has no credible civilian need for uranium metal R&D and production, which are a keystep in the development of a nuclear weapon." The Biden administration, in addition, has made no efforts to pressure the Iranian regime into answering the International Atomic Energy Agency's questions about three undeclaredclandestine nuclear sites found in Iran. IAEA Director General General Rafael Mariano Grossi stated: "Iran must decide to cooperate in a clearer manner with the agency to give the necessary clarifications. The fact that we found traces (of uranium) is very important. Thatmeans there is the possibility of nuclear activities and material that are not under international supervision and about which we know not the origin or the intent. That worries me." Grossi also warned: "The lack of progress in clarifying the agency's questions concerning the correctness and completeness of Iran's safeguards declarations seriously affects the ability ofthe agency to provide assurance of the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program. For objectivity's sake, I should say that the Iranian government has reiterated its will to engage and to cooperate and to provide answers, but they haven't done that so far.So I hope this may change, but as we speak, we haven't had any concrete progress." It seems -- worryingly, especially after failures of both intelligence and planning in the Afghanistan debacle -- that the Biden administration is again standing idly bywhile the mullahs of Iran comfortably keep enriching uranium to acquire a nuclear weapons arsenal. The document describes the shieldingapproach: The shielding approach aims to reduce the number of severe COVID-19 cases by limiting contact between individuals at higher risk of developing severe disease ("high-risk")and the general population ("low-risk"). High-risk individuals would be temporarily relocated to safe or "green zones" established at the household, neighborhood, camp/sector, or community level depending on the context and setting. They would have minimalcontact with family members and other low-risk residents. Furthermore, the CDC's document gives suggestions for effective implementation. For example: It may be necessary to assign someone within the green zone, if feasible, tominimize movement in/out of green zones. And now the National Guard is looking for "Internment/Resettlement Specialists." How many times have the rules changed? First, we heard there was no reason to wear a mask. Then, an N95 with a one-way valve was unacceptable. Later, multiple cloth masks were the key. Two weeks to flatten the curve was all it was going to take. Now, some argue that it could be years before restrictions are lifted, if ever. Then, if anyone believed thatvaccine passports were the next step, they were considered crazy conspiracy theorists. Later, the concept of a passport system was embraced - even by many Republicans. Denial of hospital care because you refuse particular treatments? Nobody would ever argue for such! Only a short while later, this became a talking point of people in positionsof power throughout the world. Surely the idea of people forcibly being rounded up and sent to camps is ludicrous. The Afghanistan military had a force of over 300,000, with an annual budget of $3-4 billion, equipped with Humvees, Mobile Strike Force Vehicles, helicopters, A-29 fighters,and advanced weapons. It crumbled to the Taliban�s lightly armed forces of 75,000 men. As Afghan cities were falling like dominoes, the Pentagon was singing the praises of the Afghanistan military. �They have an air force, a capable air force,� something theTaliban does not have, Pentagon press secretary John Kirby said. �They have modern equipment. They have the benefit of the training that we have provided for the last 20 years. It�s time now to use those advantages.� The downfall of Afghanistan reminds me of when ISIS militants took control of the city of Mosul in June of 2014. It only required 300 fighters to capture a city of 2.5 millionpeople. During their three-year reign, ISIS committed many atrocities. By the time the Iraqi military liberated Mosul, large areas of the city were completely destroyed. In both cases, Islam is the cause of the defeat. When you have a demonically controlled people fight against another group of demonically controlled people, you will seethe outcomes that often defy simple logic. Islam doesn�t even work well in oil-rich nations. I recently watched the video that pointed how much the United Arab Emirates is a mess. The Burj Khalifa is the world�stallest building, and it�s not linked up to a sewage system. Each morning, 30 tanker trucks line up to pump out tons of human waste. Hundreds of homes that were built on fake islands are all slowly sinking into the Persian Gulf. The workers in UAE are mostly the equivalent of slave labor. The people with the money are rich because they get welfare from the government. So when the oil runs out, thewhole system will collapse. The old joke about when the oil runs out, sand will be the only export is not even true. The sand in the Middle East is too dirty to be of any use. I have a non-Muslim example of how demonic influence destroys a nation. The people of Haiti follow a version of Roman Catholicism that is infused with voodoo rituals andbeliefs. Haiti was founded by a large portion of the population pledging their allegiance to Satan for independence from France. This pact with the devil is the only way I can explain why this nation is the poorest nation in the Western world. The Biden administration has had to face criticism and anger over the scale of just how fast things have deteriorated. Many of the images coming out of Kabul look very familiarto the fall of Saigon. Biden made America look bad by our military leaving the country with its tail between its legs. Every President going back to President Bush deserves some blame for staying in this hell hole. It was foolish for us to think we could bring stability, security, and ultimately, prosperity to the people of Afghanistan. We invaded the country because we thought itwas the headquarters of the group that carried out the 9/11 attack. It turned out most of them came from Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. We only lost about 2,500 soldiers in the war, but we have taken on huge financial burdens. We have thousands of people who received injuries that will lead to medical billsof $1 trillion over their lifetime. Since we spent an average of $100 billion per year on the Afghanistan war, that amounts to $2 trillion. If you add up the compounding interest on the debt for 20 years, our total bill for this Afghanistan folly will be around$4 trillion. The Bible proves itself time and time again that scripture is the only way to understand world events. Secular planners thought they could turn Afghanistan into a productivedemocracy. With no diplomatic options likely to push Tehran to stop its nuclear program, Israel's military believes that the Islamic Republic needs to be aware that should it continuewith its program, it will face harsher sanctions and a true military option to stop it. Twenty-six centuries ago, Ezekiel described a last days alliance that will invade Israel from the north. The Bible says a man named Gog will lead this massive invasion force(Ezekiel 38:2-6). Russia is one of the few world powers that consistently defended the existence of Iran's nuclear program,which should be expected since they helped fund the work and sent Russian scientists to help develop it. Turkey, which used to be an ally of Israel and pro-West has made a dramatic shift over the last decade. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has slowly been consolidatingpower in Turkey. Ataturk's Turkish Republic is dead. Its secular government is gone. In its place, Erdogan is building an Islamic Republic aligned against Israel. The leaders of these three countries have met several times to increase co-operation among their nations... just as Ezekiel predicted they would. All of these events appear to be leading us to the war of Gog & Magog as described in the Bible. Many Bible prophecy scholars have speculated as to what the trigger forthis conflict might be. A first strike attack by Israel against Iran's nuclear program would certainly lead to a military response by Iran. Such an attack would provide Russia, Turkey and othersthe excuse they need to launch an invasion of Israel. With Israel attacking first, it would be hard for other nations to justify defending her - which is why Ezekiel also suggests that other nations will protest the invasionbut do nothing about it. Did Joe Biden's decision regarding Afghanistan just set a precedent for this? However, it is through this battle that God shows Himself the protector of Israel and wipes out the invading armies. Much of the after battle descriptions detailed in Ezekielsounds like the result of nuclear fallout and one has to wonder if Israel uses tactical nukes in defending itself. It would be the only way practically speaking they could defend themselves against such a coalition of nations. How God will supernaturally interveneremains to be seen. As early as Sunday, August 15, US officials were reassessing the terror threat resultingfrom the Biden retreat. Axios reported Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley told senators that a previous assessment of how soon terrorist groups will likely reconstitute in Afghanistan will speed accelerate. Congressman John Katko (R-NY), thetop Republican on the House Committee on Homeland Security, told the New York Post that �And because we are going back to our pre-9/11 footing, Afghanistan is going to provide a breeding ground once again for terrorists, and that has profound implicationsfor the homeland.� Coupled with the Biden Administration open borders policy, Katko warned of a heightened risk of terrorist attacks on American soil. In addition to endangering Americans, Biden has emboldened the very end-time nations identified in the Bible, perhaps even more than Obama did during his two terms. I believe that those in control of America�s government want us to conclude that the tragic events in Afghanistan happened as the result of Biden�s incompetence and thefailure of the Afghan army. I do not profess to know all that�s going on behind the scenes, but I�m convinced those truly in power of the U.S. planned the Taliban takeover of the nation with the full knowledge that all we see today would take place. On the Canada Free Press website, columnist Kelly O�Connell wrote: �Afghanistan�Not by Accident: The disaster that is Afghanistan is so defective in so many profound and different ways that it has to be a purposeful decision to try anddestroy America�s standing in the world. Nobody could make so many mistakes at that level and have it all be by accident. We know the leftist Biden Administration has already done everything they can to sabotage America. And by creating such a gigantic avoidabledisaster we are communicating to the world that we can�t be trusted.� The U.S. military did not merely withdraw from Afghanistan; it rapidly exited from the nation in the middle of night without any advance notification to the Afghans or toany of our allies. In doing so, they left behind a wide array of armaments and sophisticated weaponry worth, according to some reports, as much as $85 billion. It�s now available for use by one of the world�s most ruthless and murderous terrorist organization. In spite of all this, I remain absolutely convinced of God�s sovereignty over history and that the events of the past couple weeks are all in step with the rapidly approachingseven-year Tribulation. I say this for the following reasons: EVIL CONTINUES TO GROW EXPONENTIALLY IN OUR WORLD The recent events in Afghanistan confirm the rapidly growing presence of evil in our world. The Taliban are ruthless, demonic killers that seek to impose an oppressive tyrannyon the Afghan citizens of which they are well aware. Why else would mothers hand their babies to soldiers at the Kabul Airport? They would rather see that their infants have a chance at freedom than raise their dear precious children under a viciously cruelregime that kills without any hint of remorse. The Taliban are torturing and murdering Afghans who cooperated in any way with the Americans during the past twenty years. They also require that all households with a youngwoman twelve years of age or older mark their homes with an �X.� If the soldiers find a home not marked in such a way with such a daughter, they execute the entire family. According to one report, �Husbands and fathers have given their wives and daughters guns and told them that when the Taliban come, they can choose to kill them or kill themselves�itis their choice.� The Taliban represent demonic evil at its worst and it greatly saddens me so see my country standing back and allowing these atrocities to continue. The U.S. army had theability to stop the rapid takeover of Afghanistan and now possesses the power to stop these current murderous activities, but still does nothing. Regardless of his mental state, President Joe Biden bears much of the responsibility for the suffering and bloodshed in Afghanistan. He cannot hide behind his dementia orthe decisions of a previous administration. As Commander and Chief, Biden had control of the American military at the time of the exit; he executed his plan for its rapid departure. He was not bound by any other previous plans. He put his plan into operationand what we see happening in Kabul is the result of it. AMERICA IS NO LONGER A FORCE FOR GOOD IN THE WORLD The recent events in Afghanistan reveal that the United States is no longer a force for good in the world. During WW II, the U.S. played a crucial role in stopping the Axispowers. We stopped the Nazi�s from taking over Europe and ended the slaughtering of the Jewish people in Hitler�s concentration camps. Now, however, we have not only allowed a force equally evil, if not more so than the Nazi�s to take over a nation, but we have supplied them with weapons beyond their wildestdreams. If the U.S. does not stop the Taliban now, the death toll of innocent lives that these barbaric terrorists may very well be astronomical apart from the Lord�s intervention. Keep praying! At the moment, Biden seems to be cowardly bowing to wishes of the Taliban while overlooking their ongoing atrocities. He seems content to leave thousands of Americans behindto suffer at the hands of these vicious, ruthless, and murderous terrorists. Why would he do that? The inept response of the U.S. in Afghanistan has emboldened China to advance its plans for attacking and taking control of Taiwan. The leaders of Israel talk openly aboutthe fact that they can no longer depend upon the United States if attacked. Could this be an open door for the future invasion of Israel? AFGHANISTAN COULD HAVE A ROLE IN THE GOG/MAGOG WAR An August 25, 2021, article on the Lion and Lamb Ministries website suggests that Afghanistan will take part in the invasion of Israel described in Ezekiel 38-39. NathanJones, in the quote below, explains why we might consider this nation as part of �Magog:� Some historians point to the former Soviet nations of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, as well as including Afghanistan, as encompassing theland of Magog. Historian Edwin Yamauchi explains that Magog was the "ancient Scythian northern nomadic tribes who inhabited the territory from Central Asia across the southern steppes of modern Russia." These nations, today consisting of a population of 60million, are united by one commonality � Islam.[i] If so, this tells us that the Taliban�s reign of terror will be short-lived. The Lord will destroy them along with all the other nations that come against Israel. It wouldmake God�s intervention all the more spectacular given the weapons these terrorists now possess. Most teachers of biblical prophecy believe the Gog/Magog war will occur between the Rapture and the start of Tribulation. If the seizing of Afghanistan by the Taliban signifiesanother step in the leadup to this war, then it�s also another indication of the nearness of the Tribulation. THE WORLD ORDER IS FORMING BEFORE OUR EYES The U.S. appearance of weakness removes a key obstacle in the plans of the globalists for world domination. The America of a year ago retained its place as a force for goodin the world and hence a hinderance to the plans of the elite at the UN and the World Economic Forum (WEF), but such is no longer the case. President Biden took his campaign slogan directly from the WEF and remains totally committed to their communist agenda, which necessitates a weakened America that�s unableto resist the plans of the globalists to setup a Marxist world government such as will be in place during the Tribulation period. Although the Taliban leadership do not yet realize this, they are pawns in the globalists� agenda to create a new world order (the Great Reset of the WEF and the UN�s Agenda2030). I do not know the purposes of these powerbrokers for allowing the rise to power of these ruthless terrorists. I am certain, however, that a demonic agenda lies behind what we see happening in this faraway land, which the elite hope to exploit in their quest for worldwide domination. SATAN HATES BORN-AGAIN CHRISTIANS Perhaps the place where it hits the closest to home for us is this: the events in Afghanistan clearly reveal Satan�s murderous hatred for all those in Christ. I have readmany reports to the effect that if the Taliban soldiers find anyone with the Bible on his or her smartphone, they instantly kill that person. Credible reports exist to the effect that the Taliban are going door-to-door and executing all Christians that they find. One missionary, who has been in contact with twenty-twoAfghan pastors, reports that most of them do not expect to survive this murderous purging. Though many attempt to label these reports as fake news, confirmation exists in firsthand accounts leaking out of Afghanistan. In Ephesians 6:11-12, Paul wrote regarding the role of Satan behind all the opposition we face as New Testament saints, �Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, againstthe authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.� The reluctance of President Biden to condemn or stop the bloodshed of Christians by the Taliban does not bode well for the future of the true church in America. If the Lorddoes not come for us in the near future, we may feel the venomous rage of our adversary to a much greater degree. Please know that as the shadow of the coming Tribulation period grows darker by the day, the Bible assures us that everything remains under God�s control and that we havemany reasons for hope in the midst of the darkness that is quickly overshadowing the world. Kenneth McKenzie at a press briefing onThursday. We know that more ISIS terrorists are lurking in the vicinity right now. So will there be additional attacks in the days ahead? One source told Fox News that it is �likely� that there will be more� A source briefed on the situation in Kabul told Fox News that some Americans stranded in Afghanistan will likely be left behind after Thursday�s bombings. The source told Fox News that �hundreds� of ISIS-K fighters remain in the vicinity of the Kabul airport and that the attacks are �likely to continue.� Hearing that �some Americans stranded in Afghanistan will likely be left behind� should make your blood boil. What in the world is wrong with our leaders? Trump was impeached over a phone call. How much more does Biden deserve to get impeached if he leaves Americans behind in the hands of the Taliban? And what makes things even worse is the fact that the Biden administration has actually given the Taliban a list of Americans and others that needed to be evacuated� U.S. officials in Kabul gave the Taliban a list of names of American citizens, green card holders and Afghan allies to grant entry into the militant-controlled outer perimeterof the city�s airport, a choice that�s prompted outrage behind the scenes from lawmakers and military officials. The move, detailed to POLITICO by three U.S. and congressional officials, was designed to expedite the evacuation of tens of thousands of people from Afghanistan as chaoserupted in Afghanistan�s capital city last week after the Taliban seized control of the country. It also came as the Biden administration has been relying on the Taliban for security outside the airport. Some are calling this a �kill list�, and that is exactly how the Taliban could choose to view it once all U.S. military forces are gone for good. And thanks to our recklessness, Taliban fighters are going to be armed to the teeth as they begin their new reign� A government watchdog group says the U.S. military is leaving behind 75,000 vehicles, 600,000 weapons and 208 aircraft in Afghanistan as forces evacuate the country aftera 20-year war. We�ve made the Taliban into a major U.S. arms dealer for the next decade,� said Adam Andrzejewski, CEO of Open the Books. �They now control 75,000 military vehicles. Thisis about 50,000 tactical vehicles, 20,000 Humvees they control about 1,000 mine-resistant vehicles, and even about 150 armored personnel carriers.� To make matters worse, you and I paid for all of that equipment. How can any of the brass at the Pentagon keep their jobs after such a debacle? I just keep looking at those numbers and I keep wondering how our military leaders could possibly be so grossly incompetent. And the rest of the world is watching. If a ragged group of opium dealers and goat herders can absolutely humiliate the once mighty U.S. military, why should anyone else ever be afraid of us ever again? What the Taliban has pulled off is going to greatly inspire terror organizations all over the globe, and it is going to embolden America�s most prominent enemies. I think that the Biden administration was hoping that withdrawing from Afghanistan would be a move toward peace, but instead their incompetence has set the stage for morewar. In March she asked a key question of General KennethMcKenzie, head of the United States Central Command. �Do you really think, given the intermarriage, the interweaving of the Taliban and Al Qaeda, that the Taliban is really ever going to be able or willing to restrain Al Qaeda from doing anything against us?� She called his answer, �chillingly candid.� �I think,� he said, �it will be very hard for the Taliban to act against Al Qaeda, to actually limit their ability to attackoutside the country. It�s possible, but I think it would be difficult.� That was all the back in March. His answer carries the optimistic assumption that the Taliban might want to limit Al Qaeda�s ability to other strike nations. It�s true thatthey do not want a repeat of George W. Bush�s invasion of their country after 911. But they have convinced themselves that they defeated the United States, and they do not believe we have the courage or moral conviction necessary to ever invade them again.So, they don�t care if Al Qaeda hits America again. In fact, they like the idea. Events in Afghanistan should remind everyone of the danger posed by radical Islam. And it is not a theoretical danger. Right now, the world is watching, and the Talibanare on their best behavior. Even so, they�re rounding up known Christians. They are looking on phones for Bible apps. Large numbers of Christians have run for the hills with hope now only in God. And that�s just the Christians. People of all kinds are beinghung, shot, beheaded, raped, and beaten. And it will get worse. The US military says that it has evacuated tens of thousands of people from Afghanistan, but as of Tuesday the 24th, it refused say how many of those were Americans. Onthe 23rd, Yahoo News reported that they had obtained the actual government numbers. They found that less than 10% of those evacuated by the US military are in fact US citizens or legal residents. Americans are not more important than Afghans. But they make more valuable hostages and that makes them more strategic. It�s important to realize that we don�t just havea potential hostage crisis in Afghanistan. The hostage crisis already exists! Stranded Americans may not be under lock and key in Taliban prisons, but they are hostages all the same. Why don�t US forces go out, find Americans, and escort them to the airport? Because the Taliban holds Americans as hostages. They can completely cut off access to the airport.Strong military action might even provoke a wholesale slaughter of Americans. Why does President Biden refuse to extend his August 31st deadline for leaving the country? Because right now in Afghanistan, the Taliban controls the fate of Americans. That makesthem hostages. After the 31st, anything might happen. The Taliban says it will not tolerate an extension of the deadline and, for now, the Biden Administration says it is sticking withthe old deadline. If that remains true, then the United States will be abandoning its citizens still stranded in Afghanistan. On the other hand, if the US military goes into the country to rescue Americans still held there, it will probably mean heavy bloodshedon all sides. And it might put our military back in Afghanistan for several more years. One thing is more obvious than ever. Prelude: 2001 With what is currently happening in Afghanistan, many thoughts are coming back to mind of times and people we knew in that country back in 2001 before 9/11 and the US militaryresponse. My wife and I were serving with a Christian humanitarian group in Jalalabad, Afghanistan, whose ministry was to help the blind, deaf, lame, widows with children and to dohomebuilding/re-building. Much of this was due to previous and current warring. Conditions were given to all NGO's who wished to enter to help these people: "Keep your mouth shut about your religion. If you convert someone to Christianity we will hang themand you, too." To this, we all agreed so we could enter. The assignment given to my wife and I was to manage a guesthouse. The purpose was to care for visitors that came for short stays, some to see the work and to experiencethe environment should they want to get involved. Life there was not for everyone. Our only communication was by radiophone that was monitored; no mail system, no email. All homes in Afghanistan, where we were, were in compounds with mud/stone walls, 12feet high with broken glass embedded all around the top, with one gate. Little to no electricity. All of our homes had a person (Afghan) to tend the gate day and night. He slept nearby the gate. We had no church to attend. We were the church. A few of us would get together in one home or another on Saturday to worship. To sing, we would close the windows. No singingor instruments were allowed by the Taliban. All in our group were from the same international organization but from different countries. All spoke English, some with different Christian backgrounds. We never thoughtto talk denominations. We were all in the same foxhole; it didn't matter. At that time if an Afghan told you he was a believer it would be said in confidence. If he confided that information with you, he was putting his life in your hands. Ifwhat he told you was learned, he could be killed by a friend, family member, or relative. It had happened. That information was guarded. Most team members would not discuss those things, even amongst themselves. It was Dark in Afghanistan in those days but Light was seen filtering in. It was reflecting off of those who loved those people and were living among them trying to bringhelp where it was desperately needed. Many wonderful things were being done by a number of NGOs in all different aspects. Then something happened. One day in Kabul, while we were in a language training session, an alarm went out through the Christian community. Two overly zealous people fromone NGO showed the Jesus video to some Afghans in their home. They were caught and arrested. As others in their group were also being arrested some in the group were able to get out of the country. The word was out. All NGOs were braced not knowing what wouldbe coming down next. Some were preparing to leave at a moment's notice. Those out of the country were warned to stay out. Note: Living in Afghanistan then was stressful and many were advised to take a break every six weeks or so across the border in Pakistan where it was much less stressful. Returning back to Jalalabad, we just hunkered down and continued our work. Observation: Even the Taliban notice Christian love and caring even if perhaps reluctantly. Some of those we were helping in their difficult circumstances were family andfriends of the Taliban. About three weeks later, in the middle of the night, I heard a tapping on the back door of our house. I got up, looking out the window I saw it was our gatekeeper. I crackedthe door and he whispered to me, "The Taliban are here at the gate. They want to talk to you." After putting on my shoes, I started toward the gate and met three men coming my way. Other armed soldiers stayed behind. One man wore a white turban; he was theTaliban Chief of that area. The other man was an aide. The third was an Afghan man that was part of our NGO office staff who was compelled to take the others to us. He also served as an interpreter. The man was direct but polite. He told me that we were being put under house arrest and they wanted our communication devices. They followed me into the house and I handedhim our phone. Still polite, he informed me that he was leaving two armed soldiers inside our front gate. He also told me his soldiers were ordered not to enter our house nor to bother us in any way. He then left us alone for the rest of our sleepless night. After leaving us, they went to our NGO director's house. Our director had a very good rapport with the commander. He often went to his office to inform him of any activitieswe might want to do and get his approval. Being informed of what they were doing, he asked them not to go to the homes of two single young women that were part of our team. He asked if he could go himself to get them and bring them to our place, as we hadroom to keep them. They granted his request. You might wonder what my wife was thinking all this time. She was alone in our bedroom staying out of sight, which was appropriate. She told me later she was confused andwas praying to the Lord, "How do I handle this? What shall I do?" The Lord responded in her heart with, "They are your guests. Treat them that way." The next day we provided them with cold water (it was very hot) and meals. My wife provided them with homemadecookies and chai (tea). We were told that on the third day we would be taken to the border of Pakistan. We were told we could take one carry-on suitcase with clothing only; everything else hadto stay. Our carry-on would be checked. The next day, the Taliban chief himself, with his driver, arrived to take us to the Pakistan border crossing; some 80 miles. That border is always somewhat chaotic withhundreds of people trying to cross one way or the other and was tightly controlled. This man ordered the gates to be opened to drive us safely through. After putting us out of the van, he left us and returned. Some Taliban stories are not so very rosy as ours. They can be brutal and cruel but at this time, they were firmly in control. Even though we were admittedly Christian,they let us in to help people hurting as long as we played by their rules in their country. Our team found transport at the border crossing and arrived at our home office in Peshawar, Pakistan. One week later we watched live on TV the World Trade Center being attacked.It was 9/11. One week after that, the US Consulate in Peshawar visited us and told us it would be best for us to leave the country. He did not think it was safe for us to stay. So weall agreed to go back to our home country to wait and keep in touch. We did not know at that time what we would do next. What of those people in jail? It did not take the US long to respond. The attack on Afghanistan began. The Taliban were overwhelmed and eventually fled. Fortunately, the Taliban did not kill the 8 ex-pats.They had held them for three months. But before they left the country, they shut them all in a shipping container. Some Afghan civilians saw this and later went to release them. They were able to contact the Red Cross and through them reached the US Forcesin the Bagram area. A special forces helicopter was sent to find them and fly them out to Peshawar, all in good condition. With the attack underway by US forces, Afghans were streaming out of their country, many into Pakistan and mostly into refugee camps. We, who had gone back to our homes,decided to return to Pakistan to do what we could to help those in the camps. No sooner had we gotten back and settled in, the Taliban were gone and borders into Afghanistan were open to returning. Our team packed up to move back to Kabul. When we had packed the truck with all our equipment and start the trip back, we found ourselves in long lines of trucks full ofAfghanis heading back home. Things were soon very different back at home for Afghans. It was happier with fewer restrictions. Men were cutting their beards, music was played in town, boys were flyingkites, and young girls could be seen walking together down the street with their little white head scarfs going to school for the first time. All this was forbidden just months ago. My wife and I stayed the one remaining year of our commitment. All other NGOs were back doing many great works. Afghans greatly appreciated what we were doing and expressedthat to us in many ways. In my last year there, I had the privilege to help bring a destroyed mountain village back to life. We helped restore a thousand homes before leaving. People were so appreciative. The Afghan people were still Muslim by faith and we had to respect that and did. But the love of Christ was obvious through what we did. Afghans wondered at that: we wantedto be there and we weren't being paid for it. "Sometimes the Lord doesn't need our mouths so much as our hands and feet and the skills He has given us." While Afghan women and girls as young as fiveyears of age were being taken as sex slaves and the families of Afghanistan were being slaughtered, Biden seemed to have no idea about how to deal with what the American or Afghanistan military should do to handle the cut-and-run strategy his administration�eitherby omission or commission�chose to employ. Afghan women were seen literally tossing their little children across barbed-wire fences to American military personnel to get them out of the country on C-17 and otheraircraft that the U.S. Air force were trying to fly out of the Kabul airport in the panic to evacuate as many as possible. Some of those flights saw men hanging from anything they could grasp while the planes lifted off. Some fell hundreds and even thousands of feet to their deaths. One aircrafthad to make an emergency landing because the landing gear would not fully retract. That was because some men, trying desperately to flee the Taliban, had tried to hide in the massive landing-gear area to fly to safety. They were crushed to death, of course. This abandonment of the people of Afghanistan and even of American citizens, leaving them to face their fate at the hands of some of the bloodiest terrorists on earth, isindicative of abandonment of another sort. The abandonment of God. The sheer chaos and confusion, the biblical argument can be made, is the result of the loss of ability to think clearly. The diminution of thought processes comes from anti-God wickedness. I listened to many retired former top admirals and generals�none of which was necessarily political as to favoring one party or the other. Almost each person was dumbfoundedat the way in which the Afghanistan pull-out proceeded. Some said that the president should resign, or at the very least, that the Joint Chiefs of Staff should resign in order to cover the president�s obvious ineptitude. To me, this debacle�if one is so generous as to see it as mere debacle�is the coming to fruition of the madness we�ve witnessed in recent times. The decision to pull out in a catastrophic manner from America�s obligations in Afghanistan comes on the heels of the political power responsible for the insane decision.The Democrat Party is the ideological bastion that long ago made it a point to kick God out of the party�i.e., to eliminate all mention of God as part of the party platform. Since that decision, and even before, we have watched the so-called radical left take over the party in every respect. They are the party, of course, who long ago championed abortion. At the same time, they championed causes of wildlife preservation, making certain animal mothers and theiroffspring are protected. The party is the one that allowed the radicals to bring Critical Race Theory into the educational system, in effect instituting racism in reverse. They are the party thatchampions the evil Black Life Matters (BLM) rioters and looters. They use the killing of black men by police, which are far fewer in number than Caucasians killed by police, to give excuse to perpetrate their wickedness. At the same time, the ideology thatsupports BLM completely embraces abortion, which murders black babies by the hundreds of thousands every year. This anti-God insanity declares that a person can be whatever gender they wish to be. Their birth certificate and sex at birth have no meaning in the transgender push inAmerican culture. They champion same-sex marriage and even every form of perversion between adults and children. This generation of anti-God adherents has come to the point that rationalthinking is no longer possible, it seems. Again, here is what God�s Word says happens and is happening in our nation and world today. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with allunrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding,covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.� (Romans 1:28�32) Having witnessed all the things just in the political arena as dissected above, can there be much doubt that God has turned a large portion of those who embrace such anti-Godcomportment over to upside-down thinking�to reprobate minds? That wicked, reprobate thinking has, I�m convinced, been complicit in bringing fraudulent governance to this nation. Those anti-God forces have brought to the entire worldleadership that is upside-down in thought and action. That is reprobate in every sense. It is an anti-God sort of thinking that is swiftly moving the nation and the world into an Antichrist global order. We see the supreme, sardonic irony (God�s laughing the evil global principalities in high places to derision) in the fact that the office considered to be the leader ofthe free world is now occupied by a person who many, including renowned psychiatrists, believe to have progressing dementia; that�s another way of saying �having a reprobate mind.� The craziness crisis through which we are living is a direct result of more and more people turning their backs on the One who created them. The dementia will get worse,and it will bring humanity near to the end of all flesh. But first, Jesus Christ, our blessed hope, will call all of God�s children to Himself in the Rapture of the Church. Then God�s judgment and wrath will fall upon a worldof rebels. The only way to be rescued before this world must pay for its wickedness is, again, found in the following words of the Apostle Paul: That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Most people learn at a young age that you need to work for what you have. As a persongrows and matures, a job is necessary to provide wages to buy food, clothing, and shelter. If you haven’t learned that principle, then you need to. It’s Biblical to work to earn a living. When Paul wrote to the people in Thessalonica, he encouraged them tofollow his example of behavior. They were to behave in an orderly fashion, not keep company with brothers who weren’t walking in the way of the Lord, and they weren’t to live on handouts. The example Paul and his friends had given was that of hard-workingmen who earned their living. “For when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.” 2 Thessalonians 3:10. Some people can’t work because of physical limitations, but Paul was talking to people who wouldn’t work. There is a time when you shouldn’t work hard to earn something. That’s when you’re working at sin. “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life throughJesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23. It’s easy to look around and see the suffering that sin leaves. Bars are filled with people who are there seeking enjoyment, but end up with health issues because our bodies aren’t made to be drenched in alcohol. Marriagesare destroyed, because when under the influence of too much alcohol, it’s easy to make poor decisions and go home with the wrong person. Instead of going to the local bar to find friends, why not join a local congregation to worship the Lord? Your entire familyis welcome there, and you’ll be encouraged to honor your marriage by honoring God. Let’s look at a likely wage for the sin of drunkenness. You’ve been to the bar, and at closing time you stagger to your car. As your eyes begin to focus, you finally findyour key and begin driving home. While driving you have a hard time staying in your lane, and are going too fast. You swerve into the path of a young couple on their way to the hospital because their first baby is about to be born. The wreck is horrible. Theyoung husband is killed immediately, but the wife lingers between life and death long enough for their baby to be born. You survive, but the reality of the wages of the sin you embrace will stay with you for the rest of your life. “Wine is a mocker, strongdrink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.” Proverbs 20:1. How hard did you have to work to earn the wage of death? There are many sins, aside from drunkenness, that a person has to work at. For instance, if you are friends with a crowd who likes to shoplift, your conscience will hurtif you know that taking what belongs to others is a sin. You may have to work at ignoring your conscience in order to keep those friends. Question: If you’re a Christian why are you interested in cultivating friendships with people who willingly sin? Manypeople lie in order to get government benefits, which is a sin. “Quench not the Spirit.” 1 Thessalonians 5:19. If you’re a Christian, the Holy Spirit will draw you away from sin, but if you plug your spiritual ears enough, you just can’t hear Him. Sin separates us from God. This separation came from Adam when he ate the forbidden fruit. He made a choice to reject God’s rules and follow the voice of Satan. God wasvery clear in telling Adam not to eat the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” Genesis 2:17. There wasplenty of food for Adam to eat, so eating that forbidden fruit wasn’t necessary to survive. When God took Eve from Adam, it was Adam who should have made it clear to her what God said. Men, do you lead your family closer to God, or do you let them find theirown way to God? I hope you’re the strong spiritual leader of your family. Adam loved Eve, and from the conversation she had with Satan in the Garden, it’s clear that Adam had mentioned God’s rule to her. Satan always twists God’s truth by lying to us. Evemade her first mistake by allowing herself to be in a position that Satan could tempt her to break God’s rule. Never compromise God’s word because Satan is right there to lead you to sin and death. Eve ate the fruit, then Adam ate. Adam’s sin brought deathupon the entire creation. The wage of Adam’s sin brought physical and spiritual death and separation from God. Eternal damnation instead of eternal life. I often wonder how Adam and Eve felt as they watched the result of their sin cause the death of their son, Able. They had many children, who grew and had children of theirown. As the world population grew, so did sin. Idolatry has always been a source of evil, and Satan is behind it. Faith has always been the only way to find salvation, and as the world became filled with wickedness and sin, all creation was corrupted. Fallenangels had mated with human women, causing hybrids which weren’t human and therefore unable to be redeemed. Genetic tampering caused all of God’s perfect creation to be corrupted. “And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face ofthe earth: both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.” Genesis 6:7-8. Noah found grace because he hadn’t been corrupted by the sin that grippedthe world. God told him to build an ark in. In order to keep His creation pure, everything had to be destroyed. God chose Noah, who was genetically pure. “These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walkedwith God.” Genesis 6:9. The perfection found in Noah wasn’t his lack of sin, he had a sin nature just like others, but he was “tamim”, a Hebrew word meaning “without blemish”, “without spot”. The same word is used In Exodus to describe the Passover Lamb, whoseblood would save the Israelites from death and allow them to be set free from slavery. Noah was obedient, and even though he had no idea what rain was, he set about building an ark. When a person is obedient to God things always go better. While the worldlaughed at him, he and his sons were obedient to God, and when the rain came, Noah, his wife, his sons and their wives were safe inside the Ark along with the animals God sent. Judgment would come, but Noah (a type of Israel) would make it safely through theJudgment. Prior to God’s judgment, Noah’s great-grandfather had been Raptured. “And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.” Genesis 5:24. Enoch is a picture-type of Christians who will be Raptured prior of God’s judgment of the Tribulation. If death is upon all of us because of Adam’s sin, and the wages of sin is death, what hope do we have. Our hope is found through faith in the death, burial, and resurrectionof Jesus Christ. “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” 1 Peter 1:3. There is only one way to break the bondof working for the wages of sin. Admit that you’re a sinner bound for eternity in the lake of fire that burns forever. Then place your faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. There is no other way to find eternal life, than through faith.There are no wages to earn the gift of salvation, because you cannot work for it. It’s a gift from God. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:” Ephesians 2:8. As with any gift, you should be grateful to the Giver. The gift is free to you, all you have to do is accept it. If that gift means anything to you, changes in your lifestyleshould begin to take place. God’s love should replace the anger, pride, and sin ruling your life, Jesus should be your example. The gift He gave you cost Him everything. Live for Him and sin will lose its hold on you. Sin comes from Satan. Just as that liartempted Eve by twisting God’s words, he will come after you. Arm yourself with God’s word and don’t listen to lies. “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about seeking whom he may devour: whom resist stedfastin the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.” 1 Peter 5:8-9. Sin is everywhere in this world, and temptation to sin is in front of Christians just as it’s in front of non-believers. That’s why weneed to always be on guard and only obey Scripture. What if we fail? What if we have a weak moment and yield to the sin that once ruled our life? “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, andto cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9. Jesus is always willing to forgive, but that isn’t the green light to sin as much as you can so He can forgive you more. If you proudly hold onto your sin because you’ve been forgiven, then you need to besure you sincerely repented. Repent means to change your mind about sin. Sin can be addicting and it isn’t always easy to give it up. When temptation enters your mind, don’t allow it to stay there. “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exaltethitself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” 2 Corinthians 10:5. Turn to Jesus. Pick up your Bible and read Scripture. Replace Satan’s lies with God’s truth. Are you tired of living a life of sin, and earning the wages that come from rejecting Christ? Faith in Jesus is the only way for your burden of sin to be removed. Ask Himnow for His free gift and accept it. He paid a huge price for it, but it’s free for the asking. Forsome of these churches, the Sunday after the Rapture will not see any change in attendance. They’ll still be putting on light shows, have heart-thumping music, and be giving “ear-tickling” messages for those itching ears. However, Jesus will be convenientlyleft out. The newer generation doesn’t want to be told they are sinners in need of a Savior but that their earthly lifestyle is just fine. The one to three hours a week “Christians” are content to be present and support their organized evangelical churches; just don’t expect anything else the rest of the week.Besides, all religions worship the same god, and Jesus was a good person, but not really necessary for us to go to heaven – right? The need here is to read John 14:6. While true believers’ numbers are declining in America, the places that are seeing increases are in countries that persecute and martyr Christians. Iran, China, North Korea,parts of Africa and other Middle East nations are a few that seek out anyone who calls on Jesus to be their Savior. There have been reports of people being given a chance to renounce Jesus and turn back to the religion of that area, yet many choose death ratherthan change. Several countries around the world today are making it a crime for anyone to speak out against lifestyles that God calls abominations. Canada is one of these countries wherethere are pastors and educators facing prison for calling the “alphabet” lifestyles sinful. Cases of arrests are also being reported in Europe and Scandinavia, and America is just a breath away from this same action. Luke 21:16:17; “You will be delivered up, even by parents and brothers and relatives and friends, and some of you they will put to death. You will be hated by all for Myname’s sake.” Matthew 24:10-13; “And then many will fall away and betray one another, and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessnesswill be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.” Next, Paul’s prophecy about the end of this age in 2 Timothy 3:1-5: “But understand this, that in the last days will come times of difficulty. For people will be loversof self, lovers of money, proud arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure ratherthan lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.” The last line is good advice, but how is one to avoid such people when they are all around and growing daily in number? In 2 Peter 2:1-3, “But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, evendenying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them, the way of truth will be blasphemed. And in their greed, they will exploit you with their false words. Their condemnationfrom long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.” Going to 1 John 2:15-17, “Do not love the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world – the desires of the fleshand the desires of the eyes and the pride of life – is not from the Father, but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires; but whoever does the will of God abides forever.” Continuing to 1 John 2:18-19, “Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore, we knowthat it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out that it might become plain they all are not of us.” The antichrists and false prophets that have been around since the time of John’s writings are not the ultimate evil ones of Daniel and Revelation. All that have come, andall that are here now, are a prelude to the era of the 7-year Wrath/Tribulation. The ultimate antichrist and false prophet most likely are alive today. They may or may not know the role that they are about to play, but they are in Satan’s grip. However,2 Thessalonians 2:6-7 explains why the beast hasn’t come forth yet. “And you know what is restraining him now, so that he may be revealed in his time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only He who now restrains it will do so until He is outof the way.” All true believers are indwelt by the Holy Spirit. For the antichrist to appear, that influence will be removed; and in doing so, the Rapture has to occur first to keepGod’s promise to keep us from that coming wrath (1 Thessalonians 1:10; 1 Thessalonians 5:9-10; Revelation 3:10). Anyone who truly focuses on the world today should be able to see that all the signs are here right now. There have always been evil people and unspeakable, horrible deedsthat have been done, but the sheer magnitude today of satanic activity is overwhelming. Our government, along with the liberal faux news media, are “programming” people to follow whatever they say without question, and sadly, they are gaining a majority offollowers. The new world order is rapidly coming together, and eventually, there will be a one-world government just as God said there would be. Prior to this, there will be a coalition that will attack Israel (Ezekiel 38), believing that they will be ableto plunder the wealth which that small nation has. Jesus said there would be wars and rumors of wars near the end of the age. We are seeing a lot of “saber-rattling” from the coalition of Russia, Iran and Turkey that formedjust within the last decade. Ezekiel 38:4 states that God will “put hooks into your jaws” and convince them to attack Israel. The “hook” would be the massive gas and oil deposits that Israel has, as all three members of the coalition are financially strapped. Nothing that is taking place today surprises our Heavenly Father. All prophecy leading up to these times has been fulfilled with 100% accuracy. Why would anyone think thiswould be any different? Knowing what the Bible says about end-time events, one might think this would be warning enough to possibly change the outcome. However, 1 Corinthians 1:18 says, “For theword of the Cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God.” Also, 2 Thessalonians 2:11, “Therefore, God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false.” I believe that delusion has already started. The best scenario of all this is Luke 21:28, where Jesus tells us to look up when all this starts to take place because our redemption is near. All who have truly receivedand accepted Jesus as their Savior will not be here for the worst 7-year period of time this world has ever seen. The mechanics (ABCs) of redemption are found in Romans 10:9-13, which ends by saying that “All who call on the name of the Lord will be saved.” God will force no one toaccept His Son, but He will not turn anyone away who truly calls on Jesus. The event known as the Rapture could take place at any moment of any day now. No one has sinned so greatly that they cannot be forgiven. The absolute unforgivable sin is to take your last breath on this earth without having Jesus as your Savior. AllHe asks is that you acknowledge you have sinned and ask His forgiveness; He has already paid in full the price God requires – a pure, sinless blood sacrifice. Then, have the faith that God raised Him from the dead to conquer sin and death for us. When youcall on Him, the Holy Spirit will come and reside in you until you are with Jesus, either by death or by Rapture. Call on Him today, right now, and you will be assured of an eternal home with Him in paradise. It will be the best decision you will have ever made. Maranatha – Come, Lord Jesus! The Covid 19 pandemic (a real and somewhat deadly virus) has been a great tool in ensuring the governments of the world are on a reactionary footing. They are mobilized,aggressive, and have much of the population under their control via vaccines, lockdowns, and fear. Most of the loud overbearing sheep populations are kneeling to the left-leaning political/big Pharma will around mandatory vaccine cards and lockdowns. Whenthe Rapture happens, the governments of the world will be in a much better position than pre-Covid 19 to handle such an event, while the mindless sheep will follow. In the moments, days, and weeks after the Rapture event, the world will be a confusing mess of civil upheaval, and breakdowns at every conceivable level of public and privateservice and utilities. All of this will happen while tormented individuals looking for answers to the most perplexing event in human history roam the streets. Of all the places on planet earth circa the 2020s, none will take such a devastating hit as the USA.America is home to the largest proportion of born-again believers, and their removal from every conceivable role in society will be the very thing that undoes her. Most governments of the world should likely mobilize in the weeks after the event. The military would begin securing sources of food – farms, food terminals, grocery stores, - and help local authorities in clearing airports, sea terminals, and highways, and roads of empty vehicles and debris. Power and water would also be key targets to secure. Disruptions, however, would be the norm for people emerging from the confusion. Similar to the Covid 19 response, the governments may initiate staged returns to a new normal in getting the flummoxed masses of people back to their jobs and roles in society – and away from their homes watching TV/internet for the latest answers on what has happened. The Covid 19 predicament of government stages and menacing instruction will prove a very useful conditioning tool in handling the aftermath of the Rapture, as thefamiliarity of the Covid 19 guidelines will not be lost on the general public/sheep. As society merges back into a shadowy semblance of its former self, a person’s day-to-day life will be harrowing. Just getting to work will be driving through a grim newworld of lawlessness, smoke, and panic. Fast food locations will have severely limited menus, grocery stores (looted in the days after the event) would return to a new normal of constant shortages, and most essential services and needs would be disrupted permanently.Not to mention a whole other topic unto itself – that of the day-to-day order the Restrainer formerly controlled. With the removal of Christians I believe the veil will be pulled back and all those ‘things’ on the periphery we so often hear about now – the dark demonic agents behindalien abductions, UFO’s, hauntings, possessions, Bigfoot phenomena, and oddities around missing people (think David Paulides’ very creepy ‘Missing 411’ series) – will be unshackled on the population. Day-to-day life will be – as Chuck Missler once put it – weird! People will demand answers. Enter….the 4 Horsemen. Whether it be the wars or economic collapse or new waves of pandemics, it is most likely that here in North America (and elsewhere) our unsaved friends will meet their end.By the time the 4 Horsemen are done riding 25% of the inhabitants of the earth will have been killed off. That is almost 2 billion people on planet earth and much of the events John and Daniel describe have yet to even begin! The Man of the Hour – the White Horse The Prophet Daniel in Daniel 7:23 states: 23 “He gave me this explanation: ‘The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on earth. It will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the wholeearth, trampling it down and crushing it. 24 The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings. 25 He will speak against the Most High and oppress hisholy people and try to change the set times and the laws. The holy people will be delivered into his hands for a time, times and half a time.” In the Post-Rapture confusion, it is very easy to see how Europe would immediately align to form a 10 nation power bloc. This union would be needed for both internal reorganizationand a face to show her enemies and the world it is ready to move forward. Europe and the world at large will hear of the utter collapse and chaos that America has descended into. It is highly possible that China or Russia will enhance the chaos via furthercyber-attacks, EMPs, or other forms of sabotage. Their avowed enemy, the US, already down from the impact of the Rapture, would be a perfect target for further eroding attacks to keep her disabled for good. Europe, seeing no alternative would merge…and fast.It would have a moderately formidable nuclear force of France and the UK’s nuclear arsenal. If the gap between the Rapture and the final 7 years is of a longer nature (e.g. decades), thenit is feasible this SDR system comes into play at some point. If the gap is shorter as most scholars speculate, the SDR system will likely see itself used only in the first 3 ½ year portion of the Tribulation as a kind of digital precursor to the global Beastsystem to come. John gives a very interesting peek into the economic scarcity of the time (Rev 6:5-6): [5] And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances inhis hand. [6] And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil andthe wine. This indicates a global economic scene of hyperinflation and shortages, yet still depicts a dichotomy of wealth classes. While the scales of wages and what those wages canpurchase for the average person are astoundingly different from today’s purchasing power, the text indicates there will still be demand for luxury goods. The wealthy that survive the wars of the Red Horseman will continue to seek out the finer things – whichby this point will be of a greater and greater rarity as global manufacturing, agriculture, and transportation will suffer catastrophic obstacles and destruction. Even if vineyards from the Bordeaux region of France remain intact, the methods of transporting these lovely wines will likely have been severely disrupted or all but gone.Imagine a country like the US or China suffering heavy losses from the global war (Red Horse) on its hundreds of commercial shipping ports and the loss of all those traded goods and supplies? This will be a time where if you possess any type of delicacy – fine wines or whiskeys, to imported caviar, rare meats, and seafood – it is likely the last time you will ever enjoy them. In the 2009 movie The Road which starred Vigo Mortensen, he and his son are scavenging for food in a desolate and deserted Mall. The setting for the film is an extremelybleak post-apocalyptic world where there is no future and no hope to be found. The main character by luck finds what may very well be the last dusty can of Coke on earth that he shares with his son. In many developed parts of the world in Revelation 6:5-6,it could really get this bad. The creepy one - The Green Horse I have always felt this final peculiar Horseman as the most disturbing. John now hears a voice instructing him to observe this last Horseman. The Rider is named Death, andHell/Hades follows him as he rides. 7 And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. 8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on himwas Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. Don Koenig at the Prophetic Years website mentioned that it is possible Death has some type of control over the Underworld (Hell) [1]. It seems like some type of extra portalor perceptibly rapid access to the Gates of Death/Hades is transpiring. From the Psalms, the Book of Job, Matthew, and Revelation, it appears the Underworld is entered into via some type of immense and powerful gate. The Green Horse seems to have the powerto pull the very open Gates of Hades behind him, rapidly collecting as many of the dead souls as possible from war, famine, pestilence, and animals. Yet, how would this differ from any other mass death event now or in the past? As most deaths are of unsaved people now and historically, what is the point of this passageas they would descend upon death to Hades anyway? It could be that something unusual may be happening and perhaps very visual to the world. Another oddity is the mention of the state of animals. Again, there is a distortion here. Since the Fall of Man, animals of the domesticated sort have with effort, beensubservient, pliant, and fearful, yet most wild animals are generally alarmed and uninvolved at our presence. The text from John, however, mentions deaths occurring from the beasts of the earth. Whatever fear of man they previously possessed is now replacedwith a fearless feral mentality. Would house pets now begin attacking their owners huddled in their homes together from the Red and Black Horsemen? Would harmless birds and squirrels now attack with a newviolent nature? The comfort and love animals have always brought humans would now completely reverse – another sad point to a life absent from God and all of His comforting gifts via nature...now removed. When these 4 Horsemen finally leave earth to whatever interesting cosmic fate the Lord has for them, 25% of Earths’ inhabitants will be dead, and most survivors will besuffering in near despair for help. The world will be catastrophically altered. Despite this, if any of those familiar day-to-day unsaved people we see each day survive, they still have the remaining seal judgments, the authority of the 2 witnesses and theirdestructive power over any adversarial people or nation for 3 ½ years, the 7 Trumpet judgments and 7 Bowl judgments to contend with. To conclude and perhaps a FINAL WARNING to the non-believers. A day is fast approaching when people are going to vanish in a split second possibly before you’re very eyes.You will see a heap of clothing, shoes, precious iPhones, cash, bank cards, purses, dental fillings, pacemakers, and other accessories like watches, rings, and bracelets crumple before you. Tramm, and many others and remember these words of John (3:16): 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. The Rapture of the Church will have happened, and the times you see yourself in have radically changed from before, but understand one thing and one thing only – you canbe saved, - you can be pulled into the very breast of God the Father and recline at His table, you can escape eternal damnation, and you can have life….life in abundance that will never end or see sadness or tears or lost innocence or pain. You WILL go throughtemporary hardship on earth, but it is incredibly fleeting and will not last. For those on this side of the Rapture, I beg you to question deep within yourselves if this seems truthful. I take full duty among friends, family, strangers, and others, in looking ridiculous and a fool in asking such a foreign thing to the unbeliever. However, it is the Truth,and I feel like the warnings of a nothing and a sinner like myself - but a blood-bought one in Christ - is coming to an end… and soon. I have far too many friends and family in the ever-growing Laodicean churches believing in the tepid ‘Jesus supports allthings’ woke/liberal topics of the day – they need to dust off their Bibles if they could find them.
