If the number of newly confirmed cases each day continues to rise, could we also see a return of widespreadlockdowns and school closings? Such a notion would have been unimaginable just a few weeks ago, but now the Biden administration is openly admitting that it is a possibility… White House principal deputy press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Thursday that the Biden administration will continue to “listen to the scientists” when it comes topotential future lockdowns and school closures. And as he was leaving for Camp David on Friday, Joe Biden made another comment which has a lot of people wondering what is coming next… President Joe Biden signaled the onset of more restrictions to stem the spread of COVID-19 as the highly contagious delta variant rips through the nation. While departing for Camp David on Friday, the commander in chief shouted a response to a reporter who asked if people should expect tougher constraints than what’s alreadybeen implemented. “In all probability,” he replied. Of course Joe Biden does not have the authority to order lockdowns in every state. Ultimately, it will be up to individual state governors to order new lockdowns, but if the Biden administration recommends lockdowns most of them will fall in line. In addition, on Thursday Biden seemed to suggest that the idea of some sort of a nationwide vaccine mandate is being explored… Asked about doing even more to get people vaccinated through mandates by states, localities, and businesses, Biden said he wants them to ‘continue to move in that direction.’ He also didn’t rule out the idea of a national mandate, though he wouldn’t vouch for the authority. ‘It’s still a question of whether the federal government can mandatethe whole country. I don’t know that yet.’ Such a mandate would surely be challenged in court, but as CNN has explained, the Biden administration may not need to issue a nationwide mandate because so many privateemployers are now mandating the vaccine… The CNN article, however, contends it may not even be necessary for the federal government to do something as radical as mandating the vaccine, suggesting it may becomenearly impossible to participate in everyday life without one if employers, stores, and hospitals impose requirements one by one. “The federal government may not try to force people to get the Covid vaccine,” the report reads. “And it may not have to.” “Your employer, the restaurant where you want to eat, the concert venue you want to visit or the country where you want to travel may do it for them,” it adds. At this point, many of the biggest employers in America have already pulled the trigger. Walmart is the largest employer in the country, and on Friday they announced a very strict new vaccine policy… Walmart Chief Executive Doug McMillon said Friday the retailer’s corporate staff as well as its management-level employees must be vaccinated against Covid-19 by Oct. 4,according to a memo obtained by CNBC. The mandate applies to all home office associates, in addition to market, regional and divisional employees who work in multiple facilities, the nation’s largest privateemployer said. Disney also announced a very broad vaccine mandate on Friday… The Walt Disney Company said Friday it is requiring all salaried and non-union hourly employees in the U.S. to be fully vaccinated against the coronavirus by the end ofSeptember. Employees who are still working from home will be required to provide verification of vaccination prior to returning to any Disney sites, including theme parks and offices. Many big tech companies are jumping on board as well. For example, Facebook will be requiring “anyone coming to work” to be vaccinated… Facebook will require U.S. workers returning to its offices to be vaccinated, the company said on Wednesday. “As our offices reopen, we will be requiring anyone coming to work at any of our US campuses to be vaccinated,” VP of People Lori Goler said in a statement. Needless to say, people that refuse to take the vaccines will find their employment options increasingly limited in the months ahead. Meanwhile we received some very interesting news about the Delta variant on Friday. The following comes from CNBC… About three-fourths of people infected in a Massachusetts Covid-19 outbreak were fully vaccinated against the coronavirus with four of them ending up in the hospital, accordingto new data published Friday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The new data, published in the U.S. agency’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, also found that fully vaccinated people who get infected carry as much of the virus intheir nose as unvaccinated people, and could spread it to other individuals. Sadly, these numbers from Massachusetts appear to fit very well with a pattern that is emerging nationwide. The following comes from NBC News… At least 125,000 fully vaccinated Americans have tested positive for Covid and 1,400 of those have died, according to data collected by NBC News. Those numbers are really shocking. So how bad will things get in the months ahead? Many Americans had been hoping for a return to normalcy, but as I keep warning, our world is only going to get even weirder in the years ahead. At this point, we have entered a chapter in our history when change is happening faster than ever before. As much as we see world conditions deteriorating, there is still a �restraining� effect due to the presenceof believers � and from those who support the laws and values which find their origin in God�s Word. That will all precipitously change at some unknown point. A moment is coming where all who trust in Jesus Christ for their salvation will be suddenly and preternaturallyremoved from this earth. Poof! There�s a group of folks that are largely defined by these positions. It�s these kinds of people that are the prototype of the population that will support the antichristand his depraved policies when that final apocalyptic leader arrives. The character of his future supporters has never been more self-evident than right now. So � what about this Mark of the Beast thing? To be sure, the present �V� is a conditioning process. It�s setting the stage. It�s a trial run for what�s coming down theroad. I absolutely believe this. The jab is a chance to control the population, to force compliance, to manipulate minds, to squash independence, to reward those who believe lies and to penalize those whodon�t. It�s a chance to go door to door in a thinly-veiled campaign to gain personal information and to document anyone who resists this new tactic of a globalist agenda. It�s a chance to threaten people to conform � or else! It�s also a key opportunity to publicly ridicule anyone who thinks for themselves and to blame certain folks for problems they really aren�t a part of. It�s a justificationfor building bias, for fostering hate, for imposing restrictions, for cultivating resentment, for removing rights, and for prospering deception. The reason I believe this is that the Bible talks about pandemics in the last days which laysthe foundation of people coming together to accept these vaccines. I also suspect that nano technology may be in the vaccines so that they can know where every human being is. Survey after survey has shown that Americans are much less optimistic than they were during the first half of 2021, andthat could have enormous implications for the economy as we roll through the second half of this calendar year. When consumers are pessimistic about the future, they tend to hold on to their money more tightly, and they also tend to allocate money to differentpriorities. Earlier this year, so many pundits were telling us that a new golden era of prosperity was ahead because the worst of the pandemic was behind us and Joe Biden was now in the White House. But now the Delta variant is causing another wave of masspanic, and an increasing number of Americans are losing faith in the Biden administration. Needless to say, the honeymoon is over, and Americans are not pleased with what they see as they peer into a very bleak future. Let me start by discussing the Gallup survey that just came out. In June, Americans overwhelmingly thought that the worst of the pandemic was in the past, but now the numbershave completely changed� In a dramatic shift from last month, more Americans now say the coronavirus situation in the U.S. is getting worse (45%) rather than better (40%). In June, a record 89%said the situation was getting better, while only 3% said it was getting worse. I can�t remember the last time I saw poll numbers move that much in such a short period of time. The Gallup survey also found that a whopping 42 percent of all Americans anticipate that �societal disruptions related to COVID-19� will continue to be around beyond thebeginning of the new year� Americans now expect societal disruptions related to COVID-19 to persist at least through the end of the year, or longer. Whereas in June, nearly half of Americans expectedCOVID-related disruptions in society to last only a few more weeks or months, now just 17% believe they will end by then. Instead, 41% expect the COVID-19 disruptions to persist through the end of the year, and 42% � up from 17% in June � believe they will stretch into 2022. Joe Biden�s job approval rating is also shifting quite rapidly. In fact, a different survey just found that Biden�s approval rating has dropped a total of 10 points since June� President Biden and Congress�s job approval are taking a hit amid a resurgence of the coronavirus. A Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll survey released Monday found Biden�s approval dropping to 52 percent. He may still be above water � only 43 percent of respondents disapproveof the job he�s doing in the Oval Office � but he�s down 10 points from where he was in June, when his approval was at 62 percent. Without a doubt, this has not been a good summer for the Biden administration. If Biden keeps fumbling the football over and over, it won�t be too long before his net approval rating turns negative. A third survey that I wanted to mention recently found that the percentage of Americans that are �pessimistic about the direction of the country� has risen by 19 pointssince May 2nd� As President Joe Biden completed 100 days in office, the country was optimistic about the coming year, but now, just after hitting the six-month mark, Americans� optimismabout the direction of the country has plummeted nearly 20 points, a new ABC News/Ipsos poll finds. A majority � 55% � of the public say they are pessimistic about the direction of the country, a marked change from the roughly one-third (36%) that said the same in an ABCNews/Ipsos poll published May 2. That is a 19 percent shift in just 3 months! Have we ever seen a �direction of the country� poll move that much in three months? I don�t know, but this certainly is not good news for the Democrats. When Americans are in a bad mood, they tend to gravitate toward the party that is currently out of power. Of course one of the biggest reasons why Americans are in such a sour mood these days is all of the new restrictions that are currently being implemented around the nation. For example, we just learned that Louisiana Governor Bel Edwards has decided to institute a statewide mask mandate� Today, Gov. John Bel Edwards has temporarily reinstated Louisiana�s statewide mask mandate indoors for all people age five and older as COVID-19 cases and hospitalizationscontinue to rise across Louisiana, threatening the ability of Louisiana�s hospitals to deliver care during this fourth surge of COVID. Louisiana is currently in the worst surge of the COVID-19 pandemic so far in terms of case growth rate, percent positivityand hospitalizations. In recent days, our corporate news outlets have been packed full of stories about the Delta variant. On Monday, the country was shocked by news that U.S. Senator LindseyGraham has tested positive even though he has been �fully vaccinated�� Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said Monday that he had tested positive for the coronavirus, even though he was fully vaccinated. �I was just informed by the House physician I have tested positive for COVID-19 even after being vaccinated,� he said. This wasn�t supposed to happen. And it turns out that lots of �fully vaccinated� people have been catching the virus lately� Fourteen of 24 vaccinated friends who visited the Cape Cod town of Provincetown, Massachusetts, in July caught COVID-19, Bloomberg reported on Sunday. Millions of people raced out to get vaccines because they were promised immunity, but now the CDC is releasing new numbers that are deeply upsetting lots of Americans� In a study released on Friday, the CDC tracked 469 cases among Massachusetts residents who visited the town. They found that 74% of those were fully vaccinated. An overwhelming majority of the cases were caused by the Delta variant, the study reported. Let us hope that the number of new cases starts to fade, because this latest wave of the pandemic is causing a tremendous amount of fear and panic right now. And the more fear and panic that we see, the less optimistic Americans are going to be about the road ahead. Of course even if this pandemic disappeared tomorrow, there would still be a great deal for Americans to be concerned about as we roll into the next stages of �the perfectstorm�. I know that most Americans just want life to �return to normal�, but the truth is that the past couple of years have changed the U.S. and nations all over the globe on apermanent basis. The troubles of 2020 and 2021 should have brought us together, but instead they just keep tearing us apart. And instead of making your current dumpy vehicle last another year or two, why not take out a huge loan on a brand new $60,000 SUV? Youknow you deserve it. While you are at it, why don�t you go on another huge spending spree and max out all of your credit cards again. Paying off those credit cards will be very painful in the long run, but nobody thinks much about long-term consequences thesedays. Just look at the federal government. They are 28 trillion dollars in debt and yet our politicians continue to throw money around like a bunch of drunken sailors. Of course the federal government is far from alone. State and local governments have never been so deep in debt, we are in the midst of the greatest corporate debt bingeof all time, and U.S. consumers are certainly doing their part. In fact, last quarter we witnessed the largest increase in consumer debt since just before the last financial crisis� Americans have more debt than ever before. A surge in credit card spending and home purchases caused US household debt to increase by $313 billion, or 2.1%, in the second quarter, according to the Federal ReserveBank of New York. That�s the largest nominal jump since 2007 and the biggest percentage increase in seven and a half years. Overall, U.S. consumers are now $14,960,000,000,000 in debt. We will shortly hit the 15 trillion dollar mark, and I think that we should commemorate the crossing of that threshold with some sort of celebration. Of course any celebration should involve going into even more debt, because there are few things that Americans enjoy more than getting even deeper into debt. Mortgage debt is rising particularly quickly. Housing prices have been going through the roof recently, and this has created a frenzy on a scale that we haven�t seen sincejust before the subprime mortgage meltdown of 2008� Mortgage debt, the single biggest contributor to overall household debt, rose $282 billion to $10.44 trillion. A whopping 44% of the outstanding balances were originatedover the past year, accounting for both new mortgages and refinancings. But even though the US housing market is red hot and borrowing to purchase homes is through the roof, �there are still 2 million borrowers in mortgage forbearance who arevulnerable to financial distress once the forbearance programs come to an end,� said Joelle Scally administrator of the Center of Microeconomic Data at the New York Fed. Is it just me, or does it seem like we have been here before? All of this just seems so oddly familiar. Of course the experts are assuring us that this even bigger housing bubble will end so much more nicely than the last one did. You believe them, don�t you? After being showered with trillions upon trillions of dollars by the federal government, you would think that most Americans should be in pretty good financial conditionthese days. Unfortunately, it turns out that all of that money just made the gap between the wealthy and the rest of us even larger� Americans added nearly $4 trillion to their savings during the coronavirus pandemic, but most of the gains went to the wealthy, according to a new study. Stimulus checks, rising stock markets and fewer spending choices led to a massive savings boom over the past year, with Americans saving about $3.7 trillion, according toa study from Oxford Economics. Yet 70% of the gain went to the wealthiest 20% of Americans, the study found. As I discussed the other day, there are millions and millions of Americans that were in danger of being thrown out into the streets once the eviction moratorium ended, butnow Joe Biden has decided to come to the rescue� President Joe Biden�s administration Tuesday issued a targeted moratorium on evictions in areas hardest hit by COVID-19, replacing a nationwide evictions freeze that expiredSaturday despite legal concerns about doing so unilaterally. The new action, in effect for 60 days, bans evictions in counties with high rates of COVID-19 transmission, reflecting where the Centers for Disease Control and Preventionrecommends vaccinated residents mask indoors and in public settings. But is this legal? After all, we have already seen several courts rule on this, and they have said that it isn�t. Well, just like any good career politician, Biden isn�t going to let a little thing like �legality� stand in the way� The president said he sought input from constitutional scholars to determine whether the CDC had the legal authority to issue a new evictions action but it was unclear whetherit could pass constitutional muster. �There are several key scholars who think that it may, and it�s worth the effort,� Biden said. Biden says that even if the courts strike this new moratorium down, it will buy some time for his administration to get aid money to those that need it. Needless to say, what Biden has decided to do has absolutely horrified those that still actually have respect for the U.S. Constitution. The Report concludes that a leak of the COVID 19 virus from the Wuhan lab, accidental or deliberate, is possible. CCP refuses to cooperate with international investigators, making it impossible to �gather the concrete evidenceto prove, or disprove, this theory.� By a vote of 216 to 207 on July 20, House Democrats blocked a bill that would require the declassification of information related to the origins of any role the Wuhan Instituteof Virology may have played in the pandemic�s outbreak. Such tactics can quickly escalate into a power-grab that empowers government agents to force anyone and everyone to prove they are in compliance with every statute and regulationon the books. Mind you, there are thousands of statutes and regulations on the books. Indeed, in this era of overcriminalization, it is estimated that the average American unknowingly breaks at least three laws a day. This is also how the right to move about freely has been undermined, overtaken and rewritten into a privilege granted by the government to those citizens who are preparedto toe the line. It used to be that "we the people" had the right to come and go as we please without the fear of being stopped, questioned by police or forced to identify ourselves. Inother words, unless police had a reasonable suspicion that a person was guilty of wrongdoing, they had no legal authority to stop the person and require identification. Unfortunately, in this age of COVID-19, that unrestricted right to move about freely is being pitted against the government's power to lock down communities at a moment'snotice. And in this tug-of-war between individual freedoms and government power, "we the people" have been on the losing end of the deal. Now vaccine passports, vaccine admission requirements, and travel restrictions may seem like small, necessary steps in winning the war against the COVID-19 virus, but that'sjust so much propaganda. They're only necessary to the police state in its efforts to further brainwash the populace into believing that the government legitimately has the power to enforce such blatant acts of authoritarianism. This is how you imprison a populace and lock down a nation. It makes no difference if such police state tactics are carried out in the name of national security or protecting America's borders or making America healthy again: thephilosophy remains the same, and it is a mindset that is not friendly to freedom. You can't have it both ways. You can't live in a constitutional republic if you allow the government to act like a police state. You can't claim to value freedom if you allow the government to operate like a dictatorship. You can't expect to have your rights respected if you allow the government to treat whomever it pleases with disrespect and an utter disregard for the rule of law. If you're tempted to justify these draconian measures for whatever reason--for the sake of health concerns, the economy, or national security--beware: there's always a boomerangeffect. Whatever dangerous practices you allow the government to carry out now, rest assured, these same practices can and will be used against you when the government decides toset its sights on you. The war on drugs turned out to be a war on the American people, waged with SWAT teams and militarized police. The war on terror turned out to be a war on the American people,waged with warrantless surveillance and indefinite detention for those who dare to disagree. The war on immigration turned out to be a war on the American people, waged with roving government agents demanding "papers, please." This war on COVID-19 is turning out to be yet another war on the American people, waged with all of the surveillance weaponry and tracking mechanisms at the government'sdisposal. You see, when you talk about empowering government agents to screen the populace in order to control and prevent spread of this virus, what you're really talking about is creating a society in which ID cards, round ups, checkpoints and detentioncenters become routine weapons used by the government to control and suppress the populace, no matter the threat. No one is safe. No one is immune. That's the message being broadcast 24/7 with every new piece of government propaganda, every new law that criminalizes otherwise lawful activity, every new policeman onthe beat, every new surveillance camera casting a watchful eye, every sensationalist news story that titillates and distracts, every new prison or detention center built to house troublemakers and other undesirables, every new court ruling that gives governmentagents a green light to strip and steal and rape and ravage the citizenry, every school that opts to indoctrinate rather than educate, and every new justification for why Americans should comply with the government's attempts to trample the Constitution underfoot. Yes, COVID-19 has taken a significant toll on the nation emotionally, physically, and economically, but there are still greater dangers on the horizon. As long as "we the people" continue to allow the government to trample our rights in the so-called name of national security, things will get worse, not better. It's already worse. We've been having this same debate about the perils of government overreach for the past 50-plus years, and still we don't seem to learn, or if we learn, we learn too late. Curiously enough, these COVID-19 mandates, restrictions and vaccine card requirements dovetail conveniently with a national timeline for states to comply with the Real IDAct, which imposes federal standards on identity documents such as state drivers' licenses, a prelude to a national identification system. Talk about a perfect storm for bringing about a national ID card, the ultimate human tracking device. In the absence of a national ID card, which would make the police state's task of monitoring, tracking and singling out individual suspects far simpler, "we the people"are already being tracked in a myriad of ways: through our state driver's licenses, Social Security numbers, bank accounts, purchases and electronic transactions; biometrics; by way of our correspondence and communication devices (email, phone calls and mobilephones); through chips implanted in our vehicles, identification documents, even our clothing. Add to this the fact that businesses, schools and other facilities are relying more and more on fingerprints and facial recognition to identify us. All the while, data companiessuch as Acxiom are capturing vast caches of personal information to help airports, retailers, police and other government authorities instantly determine whether someone is the person he or she claims to be. This informational glut--used to great advantage by both the government and corporate sectors--has converged into a mandate for "an internal passport," a.k.a., a nationalID card that would store information as basic as a person's name, birth date and place of birth, as well as private information, including a Social Security number, fingerprint, retinal scan and personal, criminal and financial records. A federalized, computerized, cross-referenced, databased system of identification policed by government agents would be the final nail in the coffin for privacy (not tomention a logistical security nightmare that would leave Americans even more vulnerable to every hacker in the cybersphere). Americans have always resisted adopting a national ID card for good reason: National ID card systems have been used before, by other oppressive governments, in the nameof national security, invariably with horrifying results. After all, such a system gives the government and its agents the ultimate power to target, track and terrorize the populace according to the government's own nefarious purposes. For instance, in Germany, the Nazis required all Jews to carry special stamped ID cards for travel within the country. A prelude to the yellow Star of David badges, thesestamped cards were instrumental in identifying Jews for deportation to death camps in Poland. Author Raul Hilberg summarizes the impact that such a system had on the Jews: The whole identification system, with its personal documents, specially assigned names, and conspicuous tagging in public, was a powerful weapon in the hands of the police.First, the system was an auxiliary device that facilitated the enforcement of residence and movement restrictions. Second, it was an independent control measure in that it enabled the police to pick up any Jew, anywhere, anytime. Third, and perhaps most important,identification had a paralyzing effect on its victims. In South Africa during apartheid, pass books were used to regulate the movement of black citizens and segregate the population. The Pass Laws Act of 1952 stipulated where,when and for how long a black African could remain in certain areas. Any government employee could strike out entries, which cancelled the permission to remain in an area. A pass book that did not have a valid entry resulted in the arrest and imprisonmentof the bearer. Identity cards played a crucial role in the genocide of the Tutsis in the central African country of Rwanda. The assault, carried out by extremist Hutu militia groups, lastedaround 100 days and resulted in close to a million deaths. While the ID cards were not a precondition to the genocide, they were a facilitating factor. Once the genocide began, the production of an identity card with the designation "Tutsi" spelled a deathsentence at any roadblock. Identity cards have also helped oppressive regimes carry out eliminationist policies such as mass expulsion, forced relocation and group denationalization. Through the useof identity cards, Ethiopian authorities were able to identify people with Eritrean affiliation during the mass expulsion of 1998. The Vietnamese government was able to locate ethnic Chinese more easily during their 1978-79 expulsion. The USSR used identitycards to force the relocation of ethnic Koreans (1937), Volga Germans (1941), Kamyks and Karachai (1943), Crimean Tartars, Meshkhetian Turks, Chechens, Ingush and Balkars (1944) and ethnic Greeks (1949). And ethnic Vietnamese were identified for group denationalizationthrough identity cards in Cambodia in 1993, as were the Kurds in Syria in 1962. Moreover, laws such as the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) empower the government to arrest and detain indefinitely anyone they "suspect" of being an enemy ofthe state. So you see, you may be innocent of wrongdoing now, but when the standard for innocence is set by the government, no one is safe. Everyone is a suspect. And anyone can be a criminal when it's the government determining what is a crime. It's no longer a matter of if, but when. Remember, the police state does not discriminate. At some point, it will not matter whether your skin is black or yellow or brown or white. It will not matter whether you're an immigrant or a citizen. It will not matterwhether you're rich or poor. It won't even matter whether you've been properly medicated, vaccinated or indoctrinated. Government jails will hold you just as easily whether you've obeyed every law or broken a dozen. And whether or not you've done anything wrong, government agents will treatyou like a suspect simply because they have been trained to view and treat everyone like potential criminals. The Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act�the law that governs such things as emergency use vaccines�states that a condition on emergency use drugs includes �the option to accept or refuse administration of the product.� The Food andDrug Administration fact sheet states, �It is your choice to receive� the vaccine. The National Institutes of Health quotes the Nuremberg Code on experimental drugs, saying voluntary consent is �absolutely essential.� But if your job depends on getting thevaccine, is it really a choice? There is a fine line here. The government can�t really come out and mandate an experimental vaccine. That would be an obvious violation of Constitutional rights. But thegovernment can coerce or collaborate with the private sector to mandate the vaccine. Surely, there will be legal challenges to these types of mandates, especially those who deny food to people by not allowing entry into a restaurant without proof of vaccination,etc. This type of bullying is actually fascism�the very thing that those who are doing the bullying are accusing of the unvaccinated. I wonder if all employees of the government or companies mandating the vaccine were to strike indefinitely how long wouldthese mandates last? Democratic Party politicians, the media, and Hollywood celebrities have called the unvaccinated criminals and murderers, and have demanded putting them in prison. They say �follow the science.� But they refuse to acknowledge the most exact science�math. According to the CDC website: More than 163 million Americans are fully vaccinated. Of those, only 6,239 have been hospitalized with the China Flu, only 1,263 have died. Of thevaccinated who have been seriously ill or died, 74% are over 65. Among the vaccinated, only 1 out of 26,125 have gotten seriously ill. Among the vaccinated, only 1 in 129,000 have died. How can the unvaccinated be a threat to the vaccinated? Getting the vaccine is your personal choice. It�s up to you. No judgment. But no one should be forced under the guise that it is their choice when it isn�t. Neither shouldthey be demonized as fascists for resisting fascism. Fascism, communism, socialism are all satanic and humanistic challenges to God�s perfect liberty. They historically and unequivocally lead to tyranny and death. Galatians 5:1 says, �Stand fast thereforein the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.� You see, the vaccine is only the tool giving the fa�ade of a Hobson�s Choice.
