On Monday, May 16 the State Department announced, �the United States is taking a series of measures to increase support for the Cuban people in line with our national securityinterests. The Cuban people are confronting an unprecedented humanitarian crisis�and our policy will continue to focus on empowering the Cuban people to help them create a future free from repression and economic suffering.� Without really saying what that �humanitarian crisis� is, State announced it would increase visa processing, expand authorized travel to Cuba, expand internet and microfinance services to Cuban businesses, and remove cash limits to allow more money to �flow more freely to the Cuban peoplewhile not enriching those who perpetrate human rights abuses.� In other words, Biden is enriching the communist state in the name of humanitarianism. Hours earlier, Cuba�s Communist Party announced creation of 37 new crimes criminalizing political dissent, among them a three year prison sentence for �insulting� a regimeofficial. According to Brietbart News, the new crimes also eliminate the need for the regime to provide evidence for a guilty verdict. Biden�s move drew criticism from his own party. Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ) Thursdaytold MSNBC�s �Jose Diaz-Balart Reports,� �So, instead of insisting that the regime move towards change, respect for human rights, peaceful protests, giving a voice to the Cuban people, and stopping the jailing of dissidents, what we have is a unilateral concessionthat ultimately was responded to by having a penal code that includes the death penalty for free speech activities. �Even Menendez sees through the charade. Supporting the oppressive communist regime in Cuba is a continuation of the Obama foreign policy that was undone by President Donald Trump. The revelation here is that theactions of both Biden and Obama, while claiming to be free speech advocates, actually indicate a deep-rooted political philosophy of communist-style oppression of dissent both in America and in places like Cuba. The World Health Organization (WHO) will meet at the UN headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, from May 22-28, 2022, to consider 13 U.S. proposed amendments to a treaty thatwas adopted in 2005 called the International Health Regulations of 2005 (IHR). Because this treaty was adopted by the U.S. in 2005, the amendments will not have to be presented to the U.S. Senate for approval. Up until now, the WHO could pressure every nation to impose lockdowns, mandates, vaccine passports, tracking systems, etc., but the WHO could not require nations to obey. If a simple majority of the world’s 194 nations vote for these amendments, and that appears to be a done deal, the WHO will be empowered to require all nations to obey itsmandates when the WHO declares a pandemic (and everyone seems to believe that the WHO will declare many more pandemics). These amendments give the WHO global control of the health care and sovereignty of every nation on earth. Nations that do not obey WHO regulations will be sanctioned, denied rights, denied loans, punished in various ways, etc., until they comply. Put another way: WHO requirements will supersede national laws. For whatever it is worth, Pres. Trump withdrew the U.S. from the WHO, but Pres. Biden canceled Trump’s withdrawal and is now locking the U.S. into the coming world government. This writer has long believed that the Ten Kings will rise to power over ten regions in the world, not ten divisions in the EU. One interesting feature of Biden’s amendments is the creation of “regional health czars” (under the authority of the WHO) with the power to police obedience to the WHO lockdowns,mandates, vaccine passports, tracking systems, etc. Did you get that — every nation could soon be under a “regional czar”? These czars may or may not wind up being the Ten Kings, but this could certainly be a major step in that direction. The Foreign AgricultureService of the US Department of Agriculture reports as of May 17 that Ukraine wheat production for 2022/23 is forecast at 21.5 million metric tons, down 35 percent from last year, and down 23 percent from the 5-year average. Russian wheat production is forecast6% higher than the previous year, while China�s wheat production is estimated to be 1% lower. Canada�s wheat production is forecast to increase 30%. The US exports a little over 20% of its agricultural production with Canada as its biggest customer. Europeand Africa will likely be the hardest hit in this foodstuff disruption caused by Vladimir Putin. America will suffer from a huge jump in food prices and perhaps some shortages in imported foodstuffs such as sweeteners, fruits and nuts. Already there is about a 30% foodprice increase because of higher fuel prices�mainly brought on by the Biden Administration�s policy commitment to green energy. This increases both food production and transportation costs. Fertilizer costs, according to the World Bank, were up 66% in 2021with prices to sharply increase in 2022, driven by higher energy costs�again Biden�s energy policy here in the US. USDA says that American�s generally spend about 12% of their budgets on food. That is rising fast. USDA projects a family of four on a thriftyfood plan will pay $917 in May for groceries, compared with $594 in May last year. This will get worse as energy policy continues to force fuel prices higher. This food crisis is provoked by the Russian war and the Biden Administration�s energy policy. America�s farmers are able to produce enough food to feed America and much ofthe rest of the world. And, NO, they are not being forced to destroy their crops. This isn�t a food supply issue. It�s also why gasoline prices have jumped over 53% from $2.46 a gallon when Biden first took office to $4.56 a gallon on Monday. A �transition,� as he calls it away from fossil fuels. This isn�t a transition, it is a blunt force political hammer that smashes the budgets of families around the world and causes hunger, malnutrition and starvation. This is inhumane stupidity. A �transition� would be enactinga plan over a reasonable time. Biden also has been working under the radar to turn over America�s sovereignty to the World Health Organization. Biden wants to allow WHO to establish world governing authorityunder the guise of a health emergency. This unprecedented expansion of powers is an addition to international regulations agreed to in 2005 in response to the SARS epidemic of 2003 where the 194 WHO member countries agreed to submit their sovereignty to WHOwhen it comes to handling pandemics such as COVID. This places WHO in the position of a world dictator using self-defined health �emergencies� to decree travel, religious worship, privacy and body autonomy (read: forced vaccinations and social credit system). We saw how WHO handled COVID with forced protocols, mandates, quarantining of healthy people, coerced vaccinations, banning effective treatments, and censorship. Lives weredestroyed by WHO�s governance and the Centers For Disease Control�s strict adherence to WHO�s brand of science. Just look at what WHO is doing with the new fake crisis�Monkeypox. WHO issued a statement Saturday, ��cases have mainly but not exclusively beenidentified amongst men who have sex with men (MSM)�The situation is evolving and WHO expects there will be more cases of monkeypox identified as surveillance expands in non-endemic countries.� Now the United Nations is cautioning people about how they discussmonkeypox because it doesn�t want to �reinforce homophobic and racist stereotypes and exacerbate stigma.� What? And Biden told a news conference in Japan that monkeypox �is something that everybody should be concerned about.� But Joe, not everyone is homosexual. White House nationalsecurity adviser Jake Sullivan later told reporters that the US has vaccines ready to deploy that are �relevant to treating monkeypox.� I bet they do. And the cycle begins again. It struck me as odd that thisitem would be a high theft risk. About half the sales of baby formula come from government-provided funds. I learned that you should never doubt Washington�s ability to turn a simple positive plan into a disaster. The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) was established as a permanent program in 1974 to safeguard the health of low-income women,infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutritional risk. This mission is carried out by providing nutritious foods to supplement diets, nutrition education (including breastfeeding promotion and support), and referrals to health and other social services. There is a major crisis in the feeding of America�s babies right now because parents in some areas can�t get baby formula. A few months ago, a major producer of formula � Abbott Labs � shut down its main production facilities in Sturgis, Michigan, which had been contaminated with the bacteria Cronobacter sakazakii, killing two babies and injuring two others. If you thought the contamination at the Sturgis plant would send Abbott Labs into panic mode, you would be wrong. The CEO of Abbott Labs has only made a few general statementsabout the incident. Abbott has denied its formula is to blame, with the company telling Bloomberg that �There is no evidence to link our formulas to these infant illnesses.� �Abbott called the recall a �short-term hindrance� and said it was working closely with the regulator and has begun implementing corrective actions and enhancements to thefacility. Abbott shares rose 2.4% to $122.90 in morning trade as some analysts said the comments during the conference call allayed worries over the recall. Despite the recall and supplychain issues, Abbott beat quarterly profit and revenue estimates in the first quarter. Abbott Labs, Mead Johnson, and Nestle produce 98% of the formula in the U.S. This monopoly is why Abbott Labs doesn�t need to worry about losing any market share. The countryhas been carved up where one of the three firms will dominate a region. Most states only allow women to buy baby formula from one company, though each company offers a bunch of different brands. To save money, the government requires states to hold auctions to get the lowest price for formula. The problem is that state agencies use a complex rebating system to givethe contract for the entire state to one manufacturer, and that contract can only be changed once every four years. This rebate system distorts the entire market in a state because it�s just not worth having alternative formulas on a retail shelf if half of the buyers simply cannot purchasethose formulas. As a result, the market tips to the WIC supplier, and that supplier raises prices on non-WIC recipients and does so by between 26-35%. Abbott Labs, Mead Johnson, and Nestle use lobbyists that work with the FDA to keep out any newcomers. Even though baby formula from Europe is much cheaper, no Congress memberhas any incentive to change the rules. Baby Formula made in a third-world nation may actually be safer. According to Healthy Babies Bright Futures, baby formula made by the big guys in the U.S. is full of dangerousbrain-altering heavy metals. HBBF tested thirteen different baby formulas, and every single one had �detectable levels of arsenic, cadmium, lead and/or mercury,� which are all considered to be neurotoxic, interfering with brain development and �causing permanentIQ reductions in children.� Moreover, FDA inspections of Abbott plants are obviously a disaster. Abbott had old and dirty equipment making formula, falsified records, deceived regulators, had a bad producttracing, and did not fix problems after discovery. FDA inspectors noticed problems with the plant in September but ignored them. Then, a whistleblower told the FDA of these problems in October, but regulators didn�t even bother to interview him/her until December. What is taking place in the baby formula trade is certainly occurring in a hundred other industries. If America had a greater moral foundation, this crisis would not be takingplace. Both Joe Biden and Barack Obama called for guncontrol. Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) tweeted at Rep Darrell Issa (R-CA), �F� your prayers. They haven�t worked for the last 20 mass shootings how about passing laws that will stop these killings.� Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) tweeted, �There is no suchthing as being �pro-life� while supporting laws that let children be shot in their schools, elders in grocery stores, worshippers in their houses of faith, survivors by abusers, or anyone in a crowded place.� Then there is a ridiculous comment from one ofthe most gun-controlled places in the nation. Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot took center stage by issuing a statement saying, �As a nation, we simply cannot allow this to continue. Every single day, children and young peopleare losing their lives to people who do not value the sanctity of life and take advantage of the unabated presence of firearms in our communities. Now more than ever, we must push our legislators to pass sweeping and effective gun control measures. Our children�slives depend on it.� Illinois, and Chicago in particular, is one of the most restrictive states in America when it comes to gun control. Lightfoot�s hypocrisy is underscored by 87 people shot and 18 dead in just the last three weekends, which is pretty muchthe norm every weekend. These people refuse to recognize that no law is going to stop criminals from obtaining guns and using them. The laws already are on the books. Murder is murder. Assault isassault, and on down the legal line. In a nation where a third of the population, some 81 million Americans, admit to owning guns, only a small portion of those use them illegally. In fact, I�d be willing to bet that most of those politicians who are the loudestown guns or are protected by someone who has a gun. Fact is, millions of people own guns and have never used them for crime. Why? Because they were taught to have good character and value life. People who do mass shootings are mentally ill and/or have badcharacter. A gun has no emotion or political leaning one way or the other. It is the person using that gun who decides whether it is used for good or evil. People and their choices are the problem. Every one of these politicians clamoring about more gun control, also are part and parcel to the use of the public school systemto advance political agendas by brainwashing kids. They say that once your drop your child off at the public school, you no longer have a say over them for the rest of the day. Yet, they cannot protect kid�s minds or bodies. Their minds are filled with leftistsocial engineering and sexual grooming. And their bodies are also unprotected. The politicians blame everyone but themselves for the terrible results. As a parent and coach, my experience confirms Proverbs 22:6, �Train up a child in the way he should go, Andwhen he is old he will not depart from it.� With few exceptions, it generally works. Are public schools training up children to make good choices? Politicians and leftist public school administrators are not going to protect your children. They will blame guns or people who pray, but at the end of the day, their onlysolution is their agenda. Your children are your responsibility, not the public school�s or the church�s or anyone else�s. You need to raise them. Take that responsibility seriously, even if one parent has to sacrifice their precious career to do the rightthing by their kids. No amount of gun control will stop mass killings. No amount of hypocrisy will change things. If you want to ensure the safety and well-being of your children, take them out of the public cesschools, homeschool them, and train them up tohave good character and make good choices. They are your children, not the public�s. My heart mourns for all the victims of gun violence and public schools. ----------------------------
