ISRAEL UPDATE: 5.21.22 - One Ship, a Few Horses but No Jews!

One Ship, a Few Horses but No Jews! Olivier Melnick - https://www.newantisemitism.com/antisemitism/one-ship-a-few-horses-but-no-jews The year 2021 saw a big surge in anti-Semitic incidents in the United States. According to the Anti Defamation League, 2021 saw a 34% increase over 2020. This is only forthe United States and this only tabulates the incidents that were reported, and only if they were filed as hate crimes against Jews. Needless to say, if we were to take them all into consideration, the number is guaranteed to be higher than 34%. It still seems as if most people remain silent when anti-Semitism takes place. There is this eerie feeling of emotional disconnect. There will always be those who speak upagainst acts of xenophobia and social injustice, but when it comes to anti-Semitism, it still feels like too many people are looking the other way. There is a name for such people, they are called bystanders. For whatever reason and whatever justificationis offered, those who do not react to, whitewash or ignore anti-Semitism are bystanders, and as justified as they might feel that they are, at the end of the day, a bystander always facilitates the crimes of the perpetrators one way or another. Unfortunately, history is replete with events that took place at the expense of Jews. These were events that show how humanitys warped view of the Jews led some people to completely ignore their plight. Some will remember The Voyage of the St. Louis which took place in the late 1930s. The ship sailed from Hamburg, Germany on May 13, 1939, with 937 passengers on boardDestination:Cuba. To put this in perspective, this was only six months after the pogroms and boycotts of Kristallnacht in Berlin (Nov. 9-10, 1938) which was the onset of the Final Solution to the Jewish Question. Some Jewish people appeared to be seeing the proverbialhandwriting on the wall and made arrangements to flee Germany before it was too late. They secured entry papers for Cuba and also applied for US visas. They were going to stay in Cuba until their papers came through. By May 24, the ship had arrived in Cuba, but all passengers were denied landing. Their landing certificates had been invalidated days before they left Hamburg unbeknownst only to them, but not to the organizers of the voyage. The ship waited a while and then was forced to depart. It made it to the US Florida coast, but again, all passengers were denied landing. They tried further north in Canadato no avail. Eventually, the St. Louis turned around and sailed back to Europe. France, the Netherlands, Belgium and England each took about a quarter of the passengers as refugees. 254 of the passengers ended up perishing in the Holocaust. This was an avoidabletragedy. For the United States, it was about a decade past the Great Depression and immigration certainly wasnt a popular topic with the people or within government, especially on the cusp of another presidential election for FDR. This is understandable, but during a world war, drastic measures should be considered if they are going to save many lives, unless they are Jewish lives, or so it appears! If you think that this was unacceptable, you are not going to like the story of the Lipizzaner horses. Before we look at what happened to these horses during World War Two,we need to recognize their beauty, elegance and rich 425-year history. These unique horses were developed and bred by the Hapsburg monarchy (Austria) going back to the 16th century. They have been associated with the Spanish Riding School of Vienna. They canbe trained to perform prestigious moves no other horse could do. They are rare and unique protected animals. So, it is understandable that if their breed runs the risk of extinction, much would be done to prevent that from happening, and rightfully so! In 1945, during the last few months of the war, as the Russian Red Army was pushing toward Germany, the Lipizzaner horses were in great danger of becoming food rations forstarving Russian soldiers. An appeal for help was launched to the United States and General Patton (a horseman himself) was dispatched with a team to rescue the horses and bring them to safety, preserving the breed for the future. Their mission was very successfulWell,at least for horse lovers! For almost a year, various Jewish organizations brought intel to the United States about the horrors of the Nazi Holocaust. They repeatedly pleaded with President Rooseveltto either bomb Auschwitz-Birkenau or at the very least, the railroads leading to the camps. The stern and sobering response from the war department was that such a move would necessitate, the diversion of considerable air support essential to the successof our forces now engaged in decisive operations elsewhere The real reason behind the decision not to bomb the areas was that FDR, again, didnt want to end up with a large number of Jewish refugees on his hands. The United States did indeed divert resourcesand manpower more than once for various missions, but never to rescue Jews out of the camps during the war. In the Fall of 1944, the United States bombed factories less than 5 miles from the Auschwitz death camp but chose not to proceed with the destructionof Auschwitz or the leading railroad. The rescue of horses with a 425-year history superseded the rescue of the Jewish people with an almost 6,000-year history. Forget the history and just consider that animals were rescued but human beings were ignored andsent to their death. These are two extreme cases of bystanders actions or lack of, sealing the fate of many Jewish people. Bystanders come in all sizes, shapes and colors. Sadly, it looks likewe are not immune to making the same mistakes again today. So little is being said or done to speak up against acts of anti-Semitism or injustices against the Jewish people, that we could see more tragedies unfold. When the life of an animal ever becomes moreimportant than the life of a human being, then we should look at ourselves in the mirror, because maybe just maybe, we are the ones who have become the animals? ---------------------------- Complicit Media & The Palestinian Propaganda Machine – Amir Tsarfati - https://harbingersdaily.com/mideast-review-w-amir-tsarfati-complicit-media-the-palestinian-propaganda-machine/ As the Israeli Day of Independence closed last week, a horrific attack took place in Elad, Israel. An ultra-Orthodox Jew gave a ride to two Palestinian men, one 19 and one20. At the conclusion of the trip, one of the young men pulled out an ax and brutally killed the driver. The two men exited the car and began to attack with the ax and a knife those nearby, killing two more men and wounding others. They then fled, leadingto a manhunt that lasted several days and employed up to 800 IDF soldiers. Eventually, the men were captured and arrested. This is so tragic. The slaughter of those three men has left 16 children without fathers. For more of my thoughts about this and an in-depthanalysis of why these attacks have been taking place, please watch my Breaking News from last week. On Sunday, two more terror attacks were thwarted by Israeli security forces. One was at the Damascus gate in Jerusalem, where a Palestinian armed with a knife was attemptingto stab Jewish people. During the struggle to disarm him, a policeman was wounded, and the perpetrator was immediately shot and killed. Then, Palestinian terrorists with guns tried to break into the Jewish settlement of Tekoa. A security guard shot one andthe rest ran away. Yesterday, there was yet another attack near the Temple Mount when a Palestinian terrorist armed with a knife attempted to stab a police officer and was neutralized. In a sad story that is sure to garner much international attention, Palestinian-American journalist for Al Jazeera Shireen Abu Akleh was shot and killed while covering fightingin Jenin in the West Bank. The news agency and the Palestinians quickly pointed fingers at Israel. However, evidence proves to the contrary. Video that you’ll find on my Telegram channel clearly shows a Palestinian terrorist firing indiscriminately in thedirection of Abu Akleh, then claiming he had hit a soldier. However, no IDF soldiers were struck. Only Abu Akleh and her producer were hit, who were both wearing helmets and protective vests so they could easily have been mistaken for troops. She died afterbeing shot in the head, but the producer survived. Israel quickly offered to participate in a joint investigation, but the Palestinians refused. In fact, in an autopsy, the bullet was recovered. But the Palestinians are not letting the Israeli authoritiesexamine it saying that they “cannot let the criminal investigate the crime.” The hypocrisy of much of the world is on full display when it comes to the killing of Shireen Abu Akleh. It is a tragedy, and I will not diminish that. However, I find itinteresting that those who are so quick to fly into an outrage over this incident say absolutely nothing about three Jewish men being butchered with an ax and a knife just days earlier. Also, over 360 journalists have died in war zones in recent years, yetnone of them has caused the world to demand an investigation the way this sad death has. It truly shows the power of the Palestinian propaganda machine and the willing complicity of the media. US President Joe Biden is contemplating a visit to East Jerusalem. While there, he would visit Makassed Hospital, yet he would do so without any official Israeli accompaniment. This would de facto acknowledge a divided Jerusalem and communicate that East Jerusalem is not under Israel’s sovereignty. Even former presidents Obama and Clinton didn’t go this far. The beginning of this week saw the launch of the largest military exercise in the country’s history. Dubbed “Chariots of Fire,” it will last four weeks, simulating a “monthof war,” and will include all regular and reserve IDF forces from all commands. Israel launched four missiles destroying Iranian assets on the ground near the town of Hadar in northern Quneitra Governorate. The route on which the attack took place iswell known for smuggling weapons, including UAV parts which are the weapons of the future. Later, a second strike took place, this time with tank fire. The US Congress is backing away from a weak Iran nuclear deal. A measure demanding that any new Iran deal also address Iran’s support for terrorism and requiring that theUS not lift sanctions on the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps passed the senate with all Republican votes and 16 Democrats. The Europeans, too, are having difficulty gathering a coalition to create a new nuclear deal with Iran. The Iranians, however, are not that sad, because the longer it takes to reach a deal, the closer they are to having enough high-grade uranium for bomb-making. Russia has gone all in on phase two of their operation – to take control of all Donbas and of the entire Ukrainian coastline. As sad as it is to say, they are succeeding inmost of their plans. This doesn’t just go for their military. The Russian ruble is back to the pre-war level, and Europe is still buying gas from the country. Confidence appears to be high in the Kremlin. Despite new evidence that the Russian bombing of atheater in Mariupol killed more than 600 people – including many civilians – Putin still had the audacity to parade his nuclear missiles through Red Square in Moscow. North Korea launched a submarine-based inter-continental ballistic missile on Saturday, leading the US to call for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council. This wasthe 15th missile test by North Korea this year. Meanwhile, Pakistan last month tested its medium-range ballistic missile, Shaheen-III, which can travel up to 2,750 kilometers. And the US successfully tested its DARPA HypersonicAir-breathing Weapon Concept (HAWC) which can travel at 5x the speed of sound. Taiwan’s air force scrambled to warn away 18 Chinese aircraft that entered its airspace. Including amongst the Chinese planes were a dozen fighters and two bombers. Theseviolations of airspace have become commonplace over the last two years.
