WORLD AT WAR: 5.14.22 - The Global Threat of Putin's Deterioration

The Global Threat of Putin's Deterioration - By Hal Lindsey - https://www.hallindsey.com/ww-5-11-2022/ Jesus said that war and rumors of war would mark the time before His return. Skeptics point out that there have always been both. Jesus clearly meant that end-time wars andmessages about them would somehow be more extreme. With the use of atomic weapons, war changed at the end of World War II. Those weapons have not been used in battle since then, but thousands have been made and, through the years, made even deadlier. Withthe fall of the Soviet Union, most people were lulled into thinking the world was safe from nuclear destruction. But it isn’t true. This year things have grown much worse. It’s not just that the war in Ukraine involves a nation loaded to the teeth with hydrogen bombs. During the nuclear era, both the UnitedStates and Russia fought various wars. The difference this time is the deterioration of the man with his finger on the nuclear button. A few days ago, Vladimir Putin gave a warning to those nations helping Ukraine. “If someone intends to interfere in what is going on from the outside, they must know thatconstitutes an unacceptable strategic threat to Russia. They must know that our response to counterstrikes will be lightning fast. Fast. We have all the weapons we need for this. No one else can brag about these weapons, and we won’t brag about them. But wewill use them.” Over the last few years, Putin has made several direct and indirect threats to use nuclear weapons. But now the threats come almost every week. At the same time, intelligencesources are warning about significant changes in the man who runs Russia. Putin has become more erratic. His decisions are increasingly paranoid and self-destructive. The former Russian spy Boris Karpichkov claims Putin is “obsessed by paranoid ideas…. He sees literally everyone, including those inside the Russian security services andeven inside his close inner circle, to be ‘traitors.’” More concerning still, Karpichkov claims that Mr. Putin suffers from the early stages of dementia. The Russian president’s recent appearances on camera illustrate the fact that something is terribly wrong. He appears bloated and uncomfortable. He has been seen grippingthe desk before him with white knuckles for extended periods. After watching a video of Putin, a body language expert from Texas Tech University, Professor Erik Bucy, said, “It’s an astonishingly weakened Putin.” Yevgeny Selivanov, a surgeon at Moscow’s Central Clinical Hospital, is reported to have met Putin at the leader’s Black Sea resort some thirty-five times. Selivanov wrotehis thesis on the “treatment of elderly and senile patients with thyroid cancer.” Putin has always been extremely self-centered, with a touch of paranoia. But Russia’s disastrous invasion of Ukraine seems to have amplified his paranoia to new levels. Hemay also suffer from cancer and Parkinson’s disease, along with early dementia. In his deteriorating mental and physical state, he may be feeling that he has little to lose. And he controls the largest arsenal of nuclear weapons on the planet. He’s fighting a major war in Europe. And he regularly threatens the whole world with his nuclear weapons. There has never been a threat like him in the history of the world. Surely his present war and the war he threatens qualify as new and more extreme kinds of war and rumors of war. According to the Bible, it will get worse before it gets better. But this is a “lift up your heads” kind of moment. We should see the Putin-threat as another sign of the times. Combined with all the other signs, it seems obvious that weare getting close to the time of Christ’s return. And that, friends, is good news! ------------------------- Is An EU Army On the Horizon? Kit Knightly - https://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=5354 The special "Future of the EU" Conference came to a conclusion a few days ago. There may have been a familiar veneer of "public consultation", but the aim of the conference was simple: tell the EU to do what they've already been planning to do for years. If that wasn't clear from the outset, it became unavoidably obvious a couple of days ago when the conference's list of 49 "recommendations" was published on April 27th. We have picked out some of the more troubling ones to discuss. There's number 21, for example, which suggests: that the EU improve its capacity to take speedy and effective decisions, notably in Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP), speaking with one voice and acting as a trulyglobal player, projecting a positive role in the world and making a difference in response to any crisis This sentiment is repeated in Number 39, where the conference claims there is a need to... Improve the EU's decision-making process in order to ensure the EU's capability to act, while taking into account the interests of all Member States and guaranteeing a transparentand understandable process for the citizens And they intend to do that by changing the voting system... All issues decided by way of unanimity should be decided by way of a qualified majority Taken together these measures would pretty much eradicate the national veto, and see member states potentially subject to legislation imposed against their will. A huge knockto national sovereignty. They also want to: strengthen the role of the High Representative to ensure that the EU speaks with one voice Which is a roundabout way of saying "centralizing power". Most concerning, though, is recommendation 23: We propose that the EU continue to act to promote dialogue and guarantee peace and a rules-based international order,36 strengthening multilateralism and building on long-standingEU peace initiatives which contributed to its award of the Nobel Prize in 2012, while strengthening its common security Which sounds harmless enough (apart from the shameless self-congratulatory reference to the Nobel Peace Prize), except they intend to achieve these ends using a new EU Army... The EU's joint armed forces that shall be used for self-defence purposes and preclude aggressive military action of any kind, with a capacity to provide support in times ofcrises including natural catastrophes. Outside European borders it could be deployed in exceptional circumstances preferably under a legal mandate from the UN Security Council and thus in compliance with international law38, and without competing with or duplicatingNATO and respecting different national relationships with NATO and undertaking an assessment of EU relations with NATO in the context of the debate on the EU's strategic autonomy. A potential EU Army has been a talking point for years, but most often simply dismissed as Euro-sceptics scaremongering. In fact, further down in point 21, the conferenceadds: The EU should reflect on how to counter disinformation and propaganda in an objective and factual way Somewhat ironic, because as recently 2 or 3 years ago, the "EU Army" itself was described as "misinformation". A "lie" spread by "Brexiteers" according to the Guardian, or"as true as saying Elvis lives" according to Emily Thornberry. Following the Brexit vote, everyone from Politico to the Atlantic Council was attempting to dispel the "myth" of the EU Army. The EU itself published an article on their official site debunking the "EU Army myth" in June of 2019. Then, just last month, the EU voted to create a "rapid reaction military force" of 5000 troops. Funny how things change. Now, all the outlets which had previously "fact-checked" the idea of an EU Army, or dismissed it as a "conspiracy theory" are discussing its existence as more or less inevitable. Foreign Policy asks "Is an EU Army coming?", while This Week is weighing the pros and cons, and the New European suggests "Maybe we need an EU Army after all". This might seem like a sudden volte-face, but to anyone paying attention it is anything but surprising. Despite the waves of propaganda calling the plan a myth, the fact of the matter is that prominent political voices from Macron to Merkel to Juncker have been calling for anEU Army for years. The years-old agenda was given new life by the US's withdrawal from Afghanistan. The carefully-engineered shambles was said to "highlight the need for an autonomous Europeanmilitary". The story was that the US had withdrawn in chaos and abandoned their native allies, and an EU military - filled with happy-clappy European empathy, not heartless Americanpragmatism - would have stayed longer and air-lifted more people to safety. These rumblings grew louder after Russia launched its "special operation" in Ukraine, with Foreign Policy claiming the "war in Ukraine has turned the EU into a serious militaryplayer", and Investigate Europe pointing out that "Putin is doing more to bolster European military unity than decades of EU initiatives". Outside of the propaganda narratives, though, the pure and simple truth is that the EU Army is already a semi-reality. As this article in the Defense Post points out, "the framework of a unified European military is already in place". EuroCorps has existed since 1992, and is described as "a force for the EU and NATO". Essentially it's a link between the NATO command structure and the EU. It's a token force, and barely used, but sits there waiting to be adapted and expanded. The Berlin Plus Agreement, signed between NATO and the EU in 2002, permits the EU to draw on NATO resources (Vehicles, weapons etc) to participate in conflicts in which NATOchose not to participate. In 2018 the EU launched the European Intervention Initiative, Only last March, the EU launched their new "Strategic Compass" initiative, alongside creating the "European Peace Facility", a 5 BILLION Euro "off-budget" project designedto "enhance the EU's ability to act as a global security provider". You can see how these documents allow for a smooth segue from "NATO-backed US Imperialism" to "EU Peacekeeping" in the geopolitical narrative. The EU Army will be sold to the US as "European partners stepping up to the plate" and taking some of the burden of "policing the world", while in the EU/UK it will be billedas the EU "asserting its independence from US foreign policy". Neither will be true. It might signal a genuine change in the paradigm, a relocation of the seat of power further East as the crumbling US is abandoned and the heart of global hegemony shifts towardsthe EU. Maybe. Either way, the end result will be the same people spending our money on the same weapons, pursuing the same policies, telling the same lies...just with a new name over thedoor. That was always the plan. The pieces of the EU Army already exist, they just needed a reason to be assembled. And thanks the US's "chaotic" withdrawal from Afghanistan, and Russia's "Special Operation" in Ukraine, it looks like they've got one. "What happened in Afghanistan was a defining moment," said Nathalie Loiseau, who chairs the European Parliament's subcommittee on security and defense. When President Biden failed to keep U.S. troops in Afghanistan past the Aug. 31 deadline, European leaders felt this forced them to end their evacuation efforts early, despitethousands of citizens and allies still trying to escape the country. Some of Europe's most prominent politicians have argued for years that to become a true global power, the E.U. needs its own defense force, one that is independent of theU.S.-European NATO alliance and does not rely on the United States. Former President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, has suggested Europe transform itself into what he called a "superpower" that could act as a "global securitypower". He went on to say, "the Americans, to whom we owe much... will not ensure the security of the Europeans in the long term. We have to do this ourselves...." "The only way forward is to combine our forces and strengthen not only our capacity, but also our will to act," Borrell said following a meeting of E.U. defense ministersin Slovenia. French President Emmanuel Macron is one of the biggest supporters of more integration and has been calling for a "true European army" since he took power. Armin Laschet of Germany said recently that Europe must be strengthened "such that we never have to leave it up to Americans. The idea of an EU army idea has been around since the days of Churchill and seems to be revived every decade. While most attempts have failed there are some followers of BibleProphecy who see the potential for a future 10 nation alliance out of Europe to fulfill the prophecies of the Book of Daniel & Revelation in which a 10 nation alliance from Europe (the Beast of Revelation) becomes the seat of power for the Antichrist on hisway to global domination. Some have speculated about whether these prophecies in Revelation refer to 10 nations, 10 world regions, or simply 10 leaders. When the European Union first emerged and eventuallygrew to 10 member nations, prophecy students were sitting up and taking notice, until the EU grew past 10 nations (current EU members total 27 nations). Then the excitement died down considerably as Europe failed to demonstrate any united military capability. Now with talk of a fresh desire to merge military co-operation, people are starting to pay attention again. Especially as it coincides with so many other important propheticevents happening such as the shadow war between Iran & Israel, the players for Ezekiel 38 all in alignment (including Afghanistan), the advancement of technology that could fulfill the mark of the beast, natural disasters, the global impact of disease andthe list goes on and on. There are more questions and speculation than anything else at this point regarding the future of the European Union but with so many prophetic events converging at this timeit is time to be paying attention more now than ever before. -------------------------- Putin Is More Dangerous Than Hitler Or Stalin, De-Putin-isation Is Only Hope For Civilized World, Polish PM Insists HD Staff - https://harbingersdaily.com/putin-is-more-dangerous-than-hitler-or-stalin-de-putin-isation-is-only-hope-for-civilised-world-polish-pm-insists/ Polands Prime Minister insisted on Wednesday that he believes Vladimir Putin to be more dangerous than Hitler or Stalin due to deadlier weapons being at the Russian Presidentsdisposal and his ability to spread propaganda en masse through the internet. Putin is neither Hitler nor Stalin. Unfortunately, he is more dangerous, Polish PM Mateusz Morawiecki asserted in an article published to the Telegraph. Not only does hehave deadlier weapons at his disposal, but he also has the new media at his fingertips to spread his propaganda. Vladimir Putins accursed ideology attempts to resurrect the demons of history, warned Moraiecki, adding that his aggression is not insanity but a deliberate strategythat has already opened the gates to genocide. This ideology is equivalent of 20th-century communism and Nazism in-which human dignity was sacrificed on the altar of insane fantasies of world revolution and racesupremacy, he wrote. In the name of this ideology, Mariupol and dozens of Ukrainian cities were razed as it sent Russian soldiers to war, convinced them of their superiority, and encouraged themto commit inhuman war crimes the murder, rape and torture of innocent civilians, he charged. We cannot be under any illusions, he continued. Putins doctrine is a cancer which is consuming not only the majority of Russian society, but also poses a deadly threatto the whole of Europe. Therefore it is not enough to support Ukraine in its military struggle with Russia. We must root out this monstrous new ideology entirely. The Polish leader further urged that the only chance for Russia and the civilised world is deputinisation. If we do not engage in this task immediately, we will not only lose Ukraine, we will lose our soul and our freedom and sovereignty, as well. Because Russia will not stopat Kyiv. She has set out on a long march towards the West and its up to us to decide where we stop her. Poland, which has accepted into its country millions of Ukrainian refugees, late last month, was cut off from all gas deliveries by Russias Gazpromto for declining to payby rubel. In response, Morawiecki called the move a direct attack on Poland and again insisted that Europe cannot afford to live in constant danger from Russian aggression. Russia, on several occasions, has issued thinly veiled threats about using its nuclear arsenal. This prompted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to insist that the threatwas not merely against his country but the entire world. Russia is deliberating bragging they can destroy with nuclear weapons, not only a certain country but the entire planet, he told the Doha Forum via Livestream. Jack Hibbs, Pastor of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills, in a recent article, discussed what the Bible says about increasing wars and rumors of wars. Wars and rumors of wars can be a frightening prospect to those who have no idea whats coming, he asserted. But for the Christian who has studied the Bible, the escalationof aggression we are seeing is just one more indicator that we draw closer to the end. Jesus detailed many signs of the times to be looking for in the last days. In addition to the escalation of war, Jesus foretold the escalation of deception, betrayal, hatred, lawlessness, earthquakes, famines, and yes, even pandemics. Why did Jesus tell us that we should expect all of these horrible things? Was He trying to scare us? Doesnt He know we are already prone to anxiety and worry? he asked. Yes, He does know. He knows us better than we know ourselves. It is precisely for that reason He foretold all of these things. His prophecies are reminders to us that He knows the future, and that He has every single detail under control. In the midst ofall His warning about the last days, He made it a point to assure us: See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass (Matthew 24:6). --------------------------------------
