In September, California’s clean air agency approved a proposal to ban new natural gas-fueledfurnaces and water heaters in homes by 2030. The final vote won’t take place until 2025, but the stage is set. Now the Feds are jumping on board. The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is opening up a comment period to set new emission standardswhich would lead to banning natural gas stoves. The California agency cites that natural gas in homes causes respiratory problems in some 12% of kids and that natural gas is a financial burden on low income citizens. Right? Gotta have that woke component thesedays. In a September 22 statement, California Air Resources Board (CARB) Chair Liane Randolph said, “We need to take every action we can to deliver on our commitments to protectpublic health from the adverse impacts of air pollution, and this strategy identifies how we can do just that…While this strategy will clean the air for all Californians, it will also lead to reduced emissions in the many low-income and disadvantaged communitiesthat experience greater levels of persistent air pollution.” By this, CARB intends to target natural gas vehicles, space heaters, water heaters and air conditioners. Stoves come in later in the plan. Wasn’t it just a few years ago they were converting everythingto natural gas? Now the conversion goal is electric, which California can’t handle now with all its rolling blackouts. CPSC head Richard Trumka Jr. told Bloomberg News on January 9 that CSPC will have public comment about gas stoves in the winter of 2023 and could set standards on emissions—evenpossibly banning them. Trumka last month said such a request for input, “is the first step in what could be a long journey toward regulating gas stoves.” He said that banning gas stoves is a “real possibility” especially if there is enough public pressurethere could be “a regulation on the books before this time next year.” Where would that pressure come from? The same sources the government is paying to conduct studies on the evils of natural gas—left wing environmental groups. And here’s another kicker—Trumkais a Biden appointee, the son of the late former chief of the AFL-CIO and a former Democratic congressional staffer. How about another kicker– Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act includes $4.5 billion of your taxpayer money in rebates of up to $840 for an electric stove or other electric appliances,and up to $500 to help cover the costs of converting to electric from gas. That’s how serious this Administration is about banning gas stoves. Yet, where electric is forced on people, they sit in the dark because demand is too high. In Genesis 1:28 God blessedman and granted “dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Yes, we are to be good stewards, but leftists’ agendas with no common sense are, say it with me, Stupidocrisy. ------------------------------- The spiritual struggle over Washington politics - Bill Wilson � www.dailyjot.com The news media and Democratic Party had a hey day ridiculing Republicans over their endless ballots in deciding who would be Speaker of the House. They were mocking the seeminglyindecisive Republicans, suggesting that they were leaderless, a reflection on former president Trump, a deep rift in the party, didn�t know how to govern. What we saw play out before our very eyes was, in my opinion, a spiritual struggle. The entire seat ofgovernment has been engaged in a spiritual war for many years, perhaps even since the beginning of this wonderful experiment of a Constitutional Republic. It is not only the struggle between good and evil, it also is the classic battle between statism andindividual freedom. Democrats always have had a much easier time unifying in one big umbrella of political interests. They are, by definition, an everyone votes, majority rule fa�ade in frontof statist ideals of control. When they say free, they mean someone else is going to pay for it. Republicans, by definition, adhere to qualified voters electing representatives to vote by the rule of law. This system requires Constitutional and legal protectionsso that the majority cannot enslave or control the minority. It�s based on less government and more individual freedom. The problem of the human factor seeps in. Humans seem to like control. They think they know best, like if you eat of the apple you surelywon�t die. Some Republicans also think this way. Some conservative Republicans believe to change the way government is headed�to impact the spiritual battle over the principality of the godless statist system�they neededto stand. And no matter how the world viewed what they were doing, they remained strong through 14 ballots to receive guarantees that the not-so-strong Republicans will hold up their end of the bargain and do the right thing. That�s the way politics works.The guarantees received by the conservative Republicans in exchange for supporting House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) included fiscal accountability measures, and several bills, among them to repeal authorization of the army of 87,000 IRS agents; a bill toprohibit taxpayer-funded abortions; a resolution to investigate the weaponization of the Federal government against its citizens; and much more. What seemed to be a sloppy process that was ridiculed by the news media, the Democrats and some Republicans was necessary to force a rollback of some of the nonsense thathas taken place in government over the past several years. Ephesians 6:12 says, �For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in highplaces.� Indeed, Satan is a statist�Government replaces God and the head of government and his minions are satanic sock puppets. Satan has wanted to destroy this country and remove its God-ordained Constitutionally-guaranteed freedoms since the beginning.And finally, there are a handful of people who did what Ephesians 6:13 instructs, �having done all, to stand.� ---------------------------
