The subject of pregnancy and childbirth are very close and dear to my heart. Three events related to the miracle of birth occurring at different stages in my life have caused this interest to grow, and for me to search throughout the Bible to discover important links between the natural and spiritual aspects of life created and sustained by our Creator and Heavenly Father. Moreover, 3 years spent on my brother´s farm in France have taught many spiritual and practical lessons, one of them being the yearly birth of sheep and goats and the assistance that these animals require all the way to the time of delivery of their little ones.

 

God in his infinite wisdom has given us finite creatures, the curiosity, imagination and thirst for knowledge to conceive and fabricate instruments to measure time and space.

 

One of these instruments, the hourglass, although archaic, except for boiling eggs! served its purpose when it was invented. I chose it as a visual illustration of the greatest event in all of human history, the dividing of time between BC and AD, the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is as if God took an hourglass made in heaven and chose the narrow passage between the two parts as the dividing line between past, present and future. When the time allotted from the birth of Adam to the birth of Jesus had run its course, it is as if God took the divine hourglass, turned it upside down 180 degrees and is still letting the grains of sand measuring time run down until his purpose is accomplished concerning the age of grace in which we are living.

The biblical concept of correlation between the natural birth and the spiritual birth in that order is to be found and confirmed by Scripture. Paul, in the chapter about the resurrection of the body, explains:

 

"So it is written: 'The first man Adam became a living being"; the last Adam a life-giving spirit. The spiritual, however, was not first, but the natural, and then the spiritual. The first man was of the dust of the earth, the second man from heaven" (1 Corinthians 15:45-47).

 

Additionally, the Lord Jesus, during Nicodemus nightly visit, explained the new second spiritual birth. In John 3:3-7, Jesus replied, "Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.' 'How can a man be born when he is old?' Nicodemus asked. 'Can he enter his mother's womb a second time to be born?' Jesus answered, 'Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh is born of flesh, but spirit is born of the Spirit. Do not be amazed that I said, 'You must be born again.'"

 

Pregnancy and childbirth, natural and spiritual

 

If the Word of God be true, and it is, proven by the verifiable historical context of 1000s of years of fulfilled prophecies; then, all the events described in the pages of the Bible, referring to human births, miscarriages, the spiritual new births of individuals, families, groups of people, nations and the inexorable aspect of the passing of time involved in these processes lead me to conclude that we are indeed living in the last days.

 

The Word mentions "birth pains" as a major sign because it has been the longer in continuous existence since Adam and Eve, and everybody alive at any time had a mother and a father. Well, at least until now when man, in his arrogant and prideful rebellion, is changing the laws concerning the nature of marriage between man and a woman and legalizing wholesale, unrestrained abortions, which in itself is a confirmation of prophecy announcing the time of the end.

 

There is something about the gestation period that doesn´t give us the luxury of choosing a middle ground between life and death. Within the time frame of more or less 9 months, the growing baby in the womb is going to be born dead or alive. We have a choice in the matter, but the baby unfortunately does not.

 

We know who the Lord of life and the Living Word is. His name is Jesus. We also know that the destroyer of life is Satan. History has proven, centuries after centuries, that he is a real personality and not an invention of uneducated, backwards believers in myths concocted to instill fear, designed to indoctrinate and enslave weak, credulous masses of inferior people into submission to a ruling elite class and their subordinates.

 

Now we can connect the illustration of the hourglass to the miracle of childbirth. Are we now part of the last generation that is witnessing the inescapable motion of downward pull towards the next phase of history?

 

The Bible is replete with marking the span of periods of prophetic visions and dreams and their fulfillment exactly as the Lord spoke through His anointed prophets. This historical fact is undeniable.

 

Then, why did God choose to liken the period in which we live to a woman giving birth? By the way, the Spanish and Portuguese translation is to "bring forth to the light." Interesting!

 

Prophetic voices

 

Just as the grains of sand in the hour glass, gravity is the dynamic moving element driving the process of childbirth. Again, the Portuguese word for a pregnant woman is "uma mulher grávida."

 

Didn´t the Lord tell Abraham in Genesis 22:17: "Indeed I will greatly bless you, and I will greatly multiply your seed as the stars of the heavens and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your seed shall possess the gate of their enemies."

 

If the gestation is uninterrupted and proceeds in a normal, healthy manner, we can be sure that the birth will be successful.

 

The Lord, in his mercy and love for his children, does not want us to be ignorant of his ways.

 

Psalm 103:7 states: "He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the sons of Israel."

 

Moses was the Lord´s instrument who experienced the divine intervention in his birth, and the subsequent protection of his life from Pharaoh who wanted to kill him. He was also the one who prophetically pointed ahead to a future propitious, preordained time when Jesus would be born, the one who, through the Holy Spirit, the Father would accomplish the spiritual New Birth.

 

Acts 3:22 states: "Moses said, 'THE LORD GOD WILL RAISE UP FOR YOU A PROPHET LIKE ME FROM YOUR BRETHREN; TO HIM YOU SHALL GIVE HEED to everything He says to you.'"

 

All these signs in the natural and supernatural realm are for our benefit. In Romans 15:4, Paul reminds the believers that: "For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope."

 

Now, it doesn´t mean that we can and should calculate precisely dates within the time/space dimension to predict the exact date of the rapture.

 

But we certainly can use the events predicted in history past including the plan, the patterns, the feasts of Israel, and the many convergent signs provided by the Lord so we will not be caught unaware or even surprised when the prophecies find fulfillment.

 

In addition to the wisdom and understanding granted to us, some of the great blessings and gifts of our Father to encourage and strengthen others through our journey are: hope, faith, and love without which our pilgrimage through life would sometimes be unbearable in times of affliction, conflicts, distress and great upheaval of all kinds, as we have been witnessing-especially in the past few decades. Paul mentions several times that sharing about the rapture comforts and helps us to stand firm in the grace and the mighty keeping power of our loving God (1 Thess. 4:17-18; 1 Thess. 5:11).

 

To respond to the skepticism and unbelief or apathy from the detractors of dispensationalism and pre-trib millennialism, who reason and argue that America is not under judgment - because it doesn´t fit their eschatological framework and preconceived notions - I would just point out that it is God Almighty who directs history, elevates rulers and brings down nations by the power of his right hand and his will in his own chosen time. That is his prerogative as the Sovereign Lord and King of the universe. As his creatures and human subjects, we would do well to accept and align ourselves with his will and his Word.

 

If there is a pressing need today more than ever, it is to guard against deception, even coming from political movements who seek, sometimes in subtle ways, to change our allegiance and obedient submission to our God and King, and instead to conform to a lesser earthly wisdom and embrace the false hope of bringing about the Kingdom of God on earth.

 

God will have his way, no matter what man thinks, says or does. Job declares in Job 42:1-3: "Then Job replied to the LORD: 'I know that You can do all things and that no plan of Yours can be thwarted. You asked, 'Who is this who conceals my counsel without knowledge?' Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know."

 

Every one of us is responsible for the way we respond to the clear instructions of the Lord as we are about to witness the final stage of the deliverance (delivery) of the Church at the glorious appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ.

 

The souls and spirits of babies who were born again by receiving the life-giving seed of life will be finally delivered from the limitations of the fleshly body when the birth pains and the last contractions push us out in our exit toward the bright, shining light beckoning us in the clouds. Right on God´s timetable, we will, in the twinkling of an eye, enter through the portal of eternity with the Lord Jesus leading the way as the faithful bridegroom who, keeping his promise, will present his bride without wrinkles or blemish to his Father.

 

First, there was the invitation to "COME TO ME" all you who are heavy laden and I will give you rest."

 

Then, the command: "COME, FOLLOW ME" and I will show you the way to the Father."

 

Next, another command: "COME OUT OF HER" to separate from the apostate church and do the will and accomplish the purpose of the Father.

 

Finally, we who have waited so long with faith and hope will hear those precious words like John the Revelator: "COME UP, HITHER" at the Rapture/Resurrection of the true Christian believers.

 

Conclusion

 

Deliverance sometimes happens at our weakest point when everything else has failed. God shows up seemingly at the last minute to rescue his people. There is always a movement from one place to another, from one situation to another. Just read the life of Noah, Abraham, Lot, Joseph, or Moses' account of the parting of the Red Sea.

 

The increased persecution experienced by Christians around the world is a sign of the end. The church of the living God, his bride, is at the stage of her last contractions. The Lord knows that we have little strength as he told the believers at the Church of Philadelphia in Revelation 3:8.

 

Romans 8:22-27 lays it out very explicitly for us: "For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body. For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees?

 

"But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it. In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God."

 

The church is collectively going to experience her final deliverance. We, the pilgrims on this terrestrial ball, get off to finally make our last flight to our heavenly home. The events marking the inexorable course of history, painful progression of the pregnancy, will culminate in bringing the final big push from the earth heavenwards, unencumbered by the physical body. The words of the Lord, "Come up hither," will have the irresistible power to attract all the members of the redeemed church upward to him like a super strong heavenly magnet sweeping upward around the globe - the fine, weightless dust of light particles responding to the Good Shepherd´s voice that guides us to our eternal destination.

In my previous post, I began listing reasons why we must regard the rapture and Second Coming as separate and distinct events. Much confusion ensues when believers combine them.

 

I know many pastors and teachers in Bible-believing churches combine the rapture and Second Coming into one event. For this reason, I am including a section from my book (as of yet unpublished) here and on my blog explaining why we must see them as separate events.

 

As in part 1, please note: In making my distinctions between the rapture and second coming, I assume a premillennial belief. Without beliefs in a literal seven-year tribulation, Jesus' return to earth after this time, and the setting of a millennial rule that includes Israel, these distinctions would not make much sense.

 

Here are my remaining 3 reasons why we should regard the rapture as a unique event.

 

5. The Differing Emphasis of Each

 

The emphasis of Jesus' second coming is judgment; He judges the armies gathered against him, the antichrist, locks up Satan, and then gathers all who dwell on earth before his throne. The theme of the second coming is the judgment of all who dwell on the earth at that time.

 

The message of the rapture, on the other hand, is one of comfort and encouragement (1 Thess. 4:18; 5:11). This is when Jesus raises the "dead in Christ," gives them and living believers immortal bodies, and takes us all home to his Father's house (1 Cor. 15:50-57; John 14:2-3). These passages console us when faced with the death of someone we love. They give hope in the midst of tragedy.

 

In contrast to the second coming passages, the message of the rapture is hope and eager expectation of seeing our Savior face to face.

 

6. The Presence of Living Believers to Populate the Earth During the Millennium

 

When Jesus returns to earth, as noted in part 1, He judges all who are alive at the time. Matthew 25:31-46 depicts Jesus separating the sheep from the goats, believers from those who are not. The former group enters the kingdom while Jesus sends the others away to "eternal punishment." Believers enter the kingdom in natural bodies; Scripture does not say they receive imperishable bodies, but suggests quite the opposite.

 

If the rapture and the second coming are the same event, then all the believers would already possess glorified bodies before this judgment. Jesus would not need to separate the goats from the sheep because all who would be left would be goats. Everyone with a glorified body would automatically be a part of God's kingdom while all others would face his condemnation. No one would enter the thousand- year reign of Jesus in natural bodies; everyone would possess immortal ones.

 

This is far, far different from what both the Old and New Testament tell us about the millennium.

 

John MacArthur says this about the distinction:

 

"If God raptures and glorifies all believers just prior to the inauguration of the millennial kingdom (as a post-tribulational Rapture demands), no one would be left to populate and propagate the earthly kingdom of Christ promised to Israel. It is not within the Lord's plan and purpose to use glorified individuals to propagate the earth during the Millennium. Therefore, the Rapture needs to occur earlier so that after God has raptured all believers, He can save more souls-including Israel's remnant-during the seven-year Tribulation. Those people can then enter the millennial kingdom in earthly form."

 

Many Old Testament passages such as in Zechariah 14 refer to people alive during the millennium that will possess natural bodies as well as the capacity to sin. Zechariah 14:17-19 denotes the possibility of nations rebelling against the King by refusing to come to Jerusalem to worship the Lord. In addition, at the end of the millennium, there will be a rebellion against the Lord (Rev. 20:7-9). Such scenarios cannot exist if the rapture and second coming are the same event or even if one happens shortly after the other.

 

Furthermore, Isaiah 65:19-20 refers to a time after Jesus' return when there will be infants signifying marriage and reproduction. The passage also refers to death and sin, things not possible in the eternal state of Revelation 21-22. In order for these things to be true, living believers at the end of the tribulation must enter the millennium in natural bodies.

 

7. The Rapture is a Mystery

 

In 1 Corinthians 15:51, the apostle Paul begins his description of the rapture with these words, "Behold! I tell you a mystery." Last year, my wife and I saw the movie Murder on the Orient Express, a depiction of the novel written by Agatha Christie. This story is a mystery; we do not know who murdered the man on the train until the end of the movie. This is what we typically think of when we hear that something is a "mystery."

 

The use of the word "mystery" in the New Testament differs much from this definition. The word as the apostles used it designates something new, a truth God did not reveal in the Old Testament. When Paul introduces the Lord's return for his church in the book of 1 Thessalonians he says, "For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord..." (4:15). He was telling the Thessalonians something new.

 

On the other hand, we find references to the second coming all through the Old Testament. We even see from the book of Jude that God revealed the Lord's second coming to Enoch who lived before the flood of Noah (see Jude 14:15). The second coming was definitely not something new in the church era; God revealed the second coming to his people long before the birth of Jesus.

 

The New Testament nowhere describes the second coming as a mystery, as something new. The rapture, however, is a mystery, a new and fresh revelation for the church!

 

Why all the fuss in separating the rapture from the Second Coming? It matters because it relates to our expectation of what comes next for us.

 

If they are the same event, then our immediate prospect is not Jesus' appearing, but seven frightful years of devastating tribulation on the earth for which we need to prepare as we see the many signs of the approaching tribulation. On the other hand, if they are distinct events separated by seven years, then we live in anticipation of suddenly being in Jesus' presence.

 

This is the essence of biblical perspective on life, that of living in hope of Jesus' imminent appearing to take us home! Is this not what Philippians 3:20 tells us? "But our citizenship is in heaven and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ."

For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is." In times past, I wrote of the coming of a One World Religion that may be headed up by none other than the Roman Catholic Church and it's pope. Based on their history and their continued efforts through organization such as the Jesuits (Society of Jesus), and co-conspirators such as Rick Warren, Bill Hybels, and the emerging church, they are introducing mysticism into church practices and official doctrine. I want you to read an article entitled "The Jesuit Agenda and the Evangelical/Protestant Church"

His Purpose Driven model has become the battle cry for let just all get along and do good. We can work together as one for one common purpose - peace in the world." From the article above. It all is designed to set up what I wish to talk about in this sermon.

 

ALIEN INVASION?

 

But moving on to the focus of this message, what is the one ingredient that would immediately unite the world into the goal of a One World Government and a One World Religion? It's a possible scenario even beyond our economic woes and the devaluation of the dollar, or calls for unity of all nations, as there are so many differences in each sovereign nation. What if a world population believed that their very survival was at stake, or that the world, as we know it, was about to abruptly end with violence and untold suffering? What would convince a undiscerning population to follow one man, one government, one religion to give them a sense of calm and reinforce their continued sinful lifestyle?

 

As far back as 1987, after a meeting with Russian president Gorbachev, President Ronald Reagan spoke of the one thing that would unite the world as one and put all our petty differences aside. President Reagan said, speaking of himself and Gorbachev::

 

"how easy his task and mine might be in these meetings that we held if suddenly there was a threat to this world from some other species from another planet outside in the universe. We'd forget all the little local differences that we have between our countries

...

 

"And later in another speech, Reagan remarks were along the same line:

 

"in our obsession with antagonisms of the moment, we often forget how much unites all the members of humanity. Perhaps we need some outside, universal threat to make us recognize this common bond."

 

I believe he spoke in ignorance of that simple truth, for it he had known, then that would make him a prophet, if the following scenario became fact.

 

Suppose that the population of the world truly believed and were falsely led to believe that an "invasion from another world" had taken place and that this world, this planet was in danger of annihilation? I believe that is the one thing that would instantly unite this world of sinful men to stand against outside forces from invading our world. With the coming environmental attacks against this planet that have already started picks up speed, many will believe anything.

 

THE WORLD BEING SET UP.

 

If you are middle aged, you can recall back in the 70s, a little movie called "E.T.". Cute little movie with a cute little being from outer space that only wanted to "phone home." Since that movie the interest in things beyond our world has escalated into greater and greater interest in all things extraterrestrial. The movie industry has exploded with plots that speak of either friendly, or not so friendly visitors from another planet. Movies such as "Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1976), Critters,(1986), Signs (2002), Predator series, (starting in 1987), War of the Worlds, (2005), Independence Day, (1996), and Fallen Angels (2007) but to name just a few that Hollywood has made to cash in on the tremendous preoccupation with all things "outer space." I believe the world has been following the lead of the prince of lies to set up just such a scenario that may be coming in the near future as a lie to the people of earth.

 

Let's face it - extra terrestrials scare the pants off most of us. These films don't typically portray our little outer space invaders as cute E.T. like creatures. In fact, most films portray them as how they are truly are thought of - evil, murdering, blood-sucking, and anxious to steal and destroy our beautiful earth and it's environment.

 

I propose a question, what would happen if the world suddenly realized "in the twinkling of an eye" that millions of people suddenly vanished from off the face of the earth? What would the immediate result be with such a scenario? Would there be utter chaos? Most assuredly people would be confused and scared to death. People have hypothesized the calamity that would befall this world in untold carnage. I write this as you might be reading this on a Christian web-site, as this coming scenario actually happened, and you are looking for answers. It is to you, that I write this. In all your wide eyed astonishment of something totally without explanation in any logical sense, you have been shaken to very core of your being.

 

Given the modern age of machines that we live in, and operators of these machines were suddenly gone, the untold accidents around the world would cram the TV sets, the internet, and radio for months and months. People would try and make sense of what had just happened. What would be the accepted explanation? Shall I propose something so outlandish, that if it happened, a light bulb would go off in your head?

 

Remember the song by the "Fifth Dimensions" called the "Age of Aquarius"? Was a catchy little tune, but was at the beginning of the New Age idea of a new world coming. Many of these New Agers believe that man must evolve into a higher consciousness, or be transformed into a new creature to live for eternity, by methods such as tran-humanism, or being downloaded into a master super computer. (weird!) Man searches for the "fountain of youth" and to live forever. They forget God and reject the Creator, and instead make themselves a god unto their own likeness. They have no need for a god, or think they do not, but rely only on themselves, calling themselves "humanist" or the worshiping of mankind.

 

Man has been trying to deny the need for God Almighty, through the deceit and lies of the "prince of all lies" Satan the devil for thousands of years. In modern times with all our technology, with all our modern conveniences, and with science and discovery expanded at a breathtaking pace of doubling of knowledge every couple of years, the modern world has grown more and more wicked and further and further from God. Celebrity entertainers (for lack of a better description) such as Lady GaGaor Miley Cyrus promote a hedonistic lifestyle where anything goes. The old saying, "if it feels good, do it" could not be any truer that it is today.

 

Singers like this Lady GaGa revel in their sins. I saw where she came in to a concert encased in a large egg, that led some people to postulate that she was promoting a new beginning for all of the world's people to revel in their lust and sexual desires. And she never fails to amaze me to the level of her depravity and now we have Miley Cyrus "Hannah Montana" wanting to share the passing torch of this woman's abomination of indecency..Her dad must be proud. These celebrities live for the lust of the flesh and the pride of life. Some people love the world and could care less about what it is will happen to them for all eternity. They lust for the here and now.   The apostle John warned us through the leading of God when he penned:

 

"Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world-the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life-is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. (I John 2:15-17)

 

Those who perish do so because they do not receive or welcome-the love of the truth. Because they do not, God will send them a strong delusion, so that they will believe the lie and be condemned. In reality, God is just giving them what they desire anyway. They prefer carnal delusion to spiritual reality, so God obliges them. The unrighteous in Romans chapter 1 desire a world view without a Creator so they can be sexually liberated and do abomination in His sight. God gives them over to it and lets them reap the awful consequences.

 

21 "Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

IN THE POSSIBLE NOT TOO DISTANT FUTURE, (Hypothetical) What if?

 

Suddenly, a News-flash comes over the Internet. Your radio is blaring out as emergency sirens go off all over your neighborhood. Emergency vehicles are rushing to accidents right in your area. You might wonder "What has happened?". You turn on the TV and the horror of mass confusion fills the screen. Still another is sitting, uninterested listening to a preacher in church tell the same old story that they have heard many, many times, but "hey, it's not for me.". Suddenly, they hear something. Maybe it's a loud clap of thunder, or was it a trumpet blast? They are not sure. It brings them back to reality, as they look around the seats of all the people that were in the pews are basically empty, except them, and a few others who look at them with sheer terror in their eyes. Suddenly, it dawns on them as they had heard it time and time again and never took it seriously. Their mother, or their father, maybe their son, daughter, or any friend that they knew is suddenly ..........GONE!! Vanished!! They were given no warning and they are left in utter terror. They MAY or may not realize with tears and sobs that they just missed the most important event in all of their lives, the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ to carry His chosen ones, His Father's children to be with Him, forever and ever. I Corinthians chapter 15:

 

15:51 " Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality." (1st Corinthians 15:51-53)

 

Wait a minute, you don't believe that stuff or let's say, did not, so there has to be a scientific explanation for this, right? You rush home the best way you can and turn on your TV for news of what has happened. A leader of the "free world" has come on to calm the nation. This future person takes a deep breath, as they realize, that at least the president is still here. (oh, that's comforting). She/he speaks of reports of many missing people and that Homeland Security is on the scene of many areas of missing people. She/he calls for calm and calls in the National Guard, or what's left of it, to put down looting and other criminal activity. She/he says stay tuned for further developments.

 

You switch channels and the report is interviewing a "Emergent Church" pastor that makes the statement that these people were removed from earth, as they stood in the way of man's quest for a peaceful world and ushering in a New World order and unity of the faith. Without these "rabble rousers" maybe we can live in peace and security and focus on making this world the paradise we had envisioned and have "heaven on earth". Other than that, he has no real explanation.

 

Switching channels, they find a serious looking gentleman that has just been elected to a New World body and is quite familiar to them. Seems he came out of nowhere. He might have been a unknown senator from Illinois, or may have been president for a while, but now he heads a World "Council on Human Development" headed by the United Nations. He hypothesizes and backs it up with so-called scientific information of monitoring sightings of unusual signs in the skies that have been being tracked for some years now. He may speak of this "it is the opinion of this world body, that these missing people were the victims of an alien abduction. We have reports of saucer type spacecraft flying in various places. Please stay in your homes and do not answer to anyone without official documentation that they are from your local authorities."

 

Obviously, this is conjecture, but I believe it is possible, in this scenario, that the event will be somehow explained away. Many people will grasp onto any explanation of what has just happened. How it will be explained away, is for you that read this in your wide-eyed, sheer terror of the events that just went down all around you.

 

Know one thing, reader of these words, before the man of sin appears, Satan must lay some groundwork to prepare for his acceptance. What better way than to throw the world into quarreling and divisive and wearying confusion? Could the lie to calm the people be attributed to a "war from an invading race " that is imminent."? People then yearn for some strong and seemingly wise hands to set things straight, so the nations can "catch their breath" and have a span of peaceful calm. In its wake, confusion creates directionless people, with little desire to change the status quo, whose minds are turned in upon themselves in an attempt to keep what they have. They want to continue in their sinful lives and find answers to this event that has turned their world upside down.

 

Remember this verse:

 

"And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness." (2nd Thessalonians 2:11-12)

 

Get ready for what the Bible calls, the man of sin, the son of perdition, called the Anti-Christ who will eventually lead the world to worship him, as a god, and take the mark of his word in the forehead or their right hand. I propose that the Anti-Christ could possibly could come from an Islamic country (or from the leader of the free world as proposed in past messages), as the people left will be ripe for falling in line with the two major religions that is left on earth that may merge into what I call "Chrislam". All other rest of the sheeples will be convinced by a man who supports this new leader by claiming him to be what this world needs "a savior". This man will be the false prophet. What better way to conquer the world, than two competing forces join together to bring all men into a One World Government and a One World Religion than the Anti-Christ being Islamic, and the false prophet being from an apostate "Christian" religion known as the Roman Catholic Church and headed by the false prophet, the Pope in Rome? They will join forces, although for a short while. The harlot church will lead the beast power to take over the remaining population, as both will compete against each other for political position, until one is destroyed according to the Word of God. That harlot church will be burned with fire.

 

"And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire."(Revelation 17:16)

 

"And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:" (Revelation 13:16)

 

"And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name." (Revelation 13:17)

 

This false Christ, this man of sin, will do amazing things in the sight of men, along with his false prophet, possibly "the pope in Rome." Both will convince people of what their explanation of these missing people, as truth. They will convince sinful men that they have been invaded by another race of aliens that this earth must unite to do battle with and prevent the destruction of the human race. (Never let a crisis go to waste. Isn't that what they said?) As this time in history grows darker and darker, and the blood of many souls are spilled for their profession of faith in the Lord of the universe and will not submit to a false "god" it will be their aim to stamp all rebellion to their authority "for the good of the planet." I believe at the very end, this man of sin will convince a major army to come together to do battle with what many people will believe falsely through his deceit and lying wonders, a "war from another world" has taken place. He will bring them all into a valley of strategic military positions to fight against this alien species and while they are at it, rid themselves of the cancer on mankind, the nation of Israel. Why Israel? Because Satan has hated her from the very beginning, when he saw that the Messiah would come through her.

 

Maybe it will eventually dawn on some of them that this is not some alien attack, and some may realize that they are gathered to fight against God Himself, but too late to do anything about it, as it will be over in a flash.

 

Revelation 16:16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

 

Here our God and Savior, will make short work of this vast army who has come to fight. Will each and every person there believe that he is fighting an invading world for the good of this planet and the survival of the human species? Makes for interesting discussions and it very well could be so, as the lie that has been broadcast for the last 7 years has penetrated sinful men's minds to believe and give allegiance to one man who they look to as their "god". But Jesus will deliver the final blow to this rebellion against God Almighty.

 

You remember the statement when America invaded Iraq with "shock and awe"? Jesus coming back to set up his kingdom and destroy all rebellion is the real SHOCK AND AWE. Not only is our Savior coming to reign and rule with"shock and awe", it will be the greatest destruction as you can ever have imagined it. The angel calls the birds to devour the flesh of all people, small and great. Our Creator comes back to wage a righteous war, one that has been brewing for 6,000 years due to man's hostility and rebellion to God and the lies of the "god of this world" Satan, the devil. By the time this prophecy is fulfilled, God has had enough of sin. Jesus Christ comes back and treads the winepress of His wrath, where the blood spilled comes up to the horse's bridles. It is hard to imagine blood four or six feet deep and flowing like a river in a 20 mile long valley. Revelation chapter 14, speaks of this valley outside Jerusalem,

 

"And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs." (Revelation 14:20)

 

WHERE WILL BE YOU BE IN THIS TERRIBLE HOUR?

 

I write this to all who may be reading this commentary after the event of millions of people disappearing from this planet. We, who are prepared, need not fear, but be lifting up our heads, "because our redemption draweth night". (Luke 21:28). But to you who are frightened, confused, and searching for an explanation, you have read the possible reason, and you have read the possible lies that will be forthcoming after this event caught you off-guard. It doesn't matter what the lie is being proposed, you have just been duped to believing in yourself and no need for God, by Lucifer, the prince of darkness, to you own destruction. The next 7 years will be the most gruesome time in all of mankind's history. Jesus said in

 

Matthew chapter 24:,

 

24:21 "For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened."

Iran could be trying to build missile factories in Syria again, according to recent reports, raising the possibility of further Israeli preemptive action.

 

The Israeli commercial satellite company ImageSat International (ISI) published images this month showing suspicious activity at a compound in Safita in northwest Syria.

 

"The construction patterns, the compound location and the activity signs at the compound and its region increase the probability that this is a missiles manufacturing site," ISI assessed.

 

Israel remains committed to the use of force to preemptively disrupt Iran's force build-up program in Syria. For now, according to Maj. Gen. (ret.) Yaakov Amidror, former national security adviser, that policy has "no alternative."

 

"I'm not sure they [the Iranians] are manufacturing missiles in Syria, but if it is true, then this determination stems from the fact that the matter is very important to the Iranians," Amidror told JNS.

 

Russia, which continues to lead the pro-Assad regime coalition, "will not fight Israel's wars," said Amidror. "So long as our maneuvers and those of the Iranians do not destabilize [Syrian President Bashar] Assad's rule, the Russians have no reason to intervene."

 

According to the report by ISI, the site in northwest Syria has the same "construction visual patterns" that can be found in sites in Iran that produce surface-to-surface missiles.

 

"The site is located only eight kilometers from the border with Lebanon, in an area controlled by the Syrian regime and in the vicinity of the Russian surface-to-air deployments," the company noted.

 

"During the last months, buses and vans were detected in the site entrance within the securely fenced compound. It appears that the workers use buses and vans as in military facility common pattern. Also, a new water tower was recently built. Those two findings indicate that the compound is active and under development," it stated.

 

In addition, nearby to the compound, satellite imagery revealed "massive and extensive trails" that probably belong to heavy vehicles like mobile missile launchers, it assessed.

 

Emily Landau, head of the Arms Control and Regional Security Program at the Institute for National Security Studies in Tel Aviv, said Israel stands by itself in its battle to prevent Iranian weapons proliferation and military build-up to its north.

 

"Israel has been left alone to deal with weapons transfers and missile factories, even though as far as Hezbollah is concerned, Iran is blatantly violating U.N. Security Council resolution 1701," she said.

 

Last month, Israel's Channel 12 said in a report that despite Iranian and Syrian attempts to hide the site, "this information has been documented by Israeli intelligence elements."

 

Iran's takeover attempts have run into difficulties in the form of hundreds of airstrikes, the report noted. "Nevertheless, the Syrians and Iranians find creative ways to supply the needed equipment to Lebanon," said Landau.

 

The report noted that Iran and Hezbollah have, in recent years, engaged in an effort to set up precision missile-production sites inside Lebanon as well.

 

"Where is the international community on this?" asked Landau.

 

Looking ahead, Landau said Israel will likely "continue to carry out operations against Iranian assets in Syria and transfers to Hezbollah, but it is hard to say whether this will encourage Iran to stop or to step up its efforts. The international community is happy to leave this to Israel, but its indifference must be highlighted and challenged."

 

With Russia playing a dominant military and strategic role in Syria, "Israel has no choice but to coordinate its military action in Syria with Russia, as the U.S. is signaling it is not interested in being directly involved," she noted. "But it is a delicate balancing act because of the importance of Israel's relationship with the U.S."

Let's begin with a hypothetical story. You had attended Aunt Maggie's birthday party on Saturday. Everybody loves Aunt Maggie, but a few family members consider her to be a little crazy. She just won't stop talking about the Bible, the Rapture, and how everyone should accept Jesus. Now it's Monday morning and time for work. This day had started like most mornings. After your shower you want to watch the morning news while eating some toast and drinking coffee. There's no television reception, just static. The cable must be out. That's strange, but you brush it off. Cousin Andy should be here soon to pick you up for the carpool to work so you step outside to wait. Things are strangely quiet. Where are the children who should be waiting for the school bus? Maybe there's a school holiday. You look over to wave hello to Mrs. Smith, but she isn't sitting in her rocking chair on the porch. She's friends with Aunt Maggie and is the same type of crazy. She says she prays for everyone who goes by her house each morning. "I hope she isn't ill" you think to yourself. Your thoughts turn to Cousin Andy who's late. Maybe he's sick. At the party he said he finally understood what Aunt Maggie had been trying to say. He realized that he was a sinner and he repented. He accepted Christ as his Saviour. Andy is always joking about something and maybe this is just one of his jokes. Like when he was 10 years old and had a pet rock. You chuckle as you remember how he cared for that rock! Time passes and the silence continues. It's strange that no cars are passing by because people should be headed for work. Suddenly the woman across the street comes running through her front door screaming hysterically that her children are missing. The guy she's living with is a very angry man and drinks a lot. You hope he didn't do anything to the kids. None of her boyfriends last more than a couple of months, and it'll be good when this one moves on. Other neighbors begin to come out into the street looking for family members. You slowly begin to understand that many people have mysteriously gone missing. Then it hits you. Aunt Maggie was right. Cousin Andy won't be coming to pick you up for work. God is real and He has called the Christians Home.

 

The above is a fictionalized story of what will soon happen, but many people choose to live in ignorance. Bible prophecy is being fulfilled quickly but how many Christians see the urgency to witness to friends and family? How many of us say we don't have time to study Scripture but we still have time to spend sitting on the couch watching television? Many Christians memorize the statistics of a favorite sports team, are concerned about the ups and downs of the stock market, and know what blockbuster movie is in theaters but don't care about God's word. All of the things of the world are of greater importance than studying Scripture and sharing the Gospel. No sports statistic or movie will bring you closer to Jesus, nor will they help you witness to a neighbor or family member. Can you see the significance of President Trump moving the US Embassy to Jerusalem? How about more recently that he recognized that Israel has ownership of the Golan Heights? This is not going to sit well with Russia or other nations who will come against Israel. These events might be reported by the media but quickly are replaced by the latest celebrity scandal. Prophetically they are very important and can be used as a witnessing tool. "Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets." Amos 3:7. God has given us prophecy to let us know where we are in relation to the end of time. The signs indicate that we're getting close to the Rapture. Now would be the perfect time to be sure that you've accepted Christ for salvation and start living your life for Him. Now would be the perfect time to share your faith with others.

 

We need more evangelists like Paul. When he shared his faith with others he didn't tippy-toe around it. He spread the Gospel as Jesus directed. Paul spent three weeks in Thessalonica and when he left the people understood they were sinners who needed Jesus for salvation and had a strong faith. Today many people can sit in pews for years and never even hear the Gospel preached let alone prophecy. Paul also taught them about the Rapture. When persecution came against the Christians in Thessalonica, they were worried that they had missed the Rapture, so Paul wrote letters assuring them that they hadn't. "That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God." 2 Thessalonians 2:2-4. The man of sin is also referred to by many people as the Anti-Christ. Today there are some very strong candidates for that "title", but before he comes to power the ekklēsia (the church) will be caught away.

 

I've listened to many preachers over the years and very few have actually taught tough truth. Only those who teach verse by verse through God's word equip the congregation to stand strong on God's word during these final days in which we live. These men don't pick and choose words to tickle ears, but name sin as sin and encourage the congregation to take up their cross and follow Christ, not the world. Most Christians don't pick up their Bibles and study, so if they aren't being taught God's truth from the pulpit false doctrine is accepted. Prophecy is a very neglected subject. Scripture is about 1/3 prophecy, maybe even more, so why is it ignored? Prophets of God have revealed His truth and it's recorded in Scripture. God's prophecy is always correct and past fulfilled prophecy assures us that future prophecy will be fulfilled. Prophecy revealed many things about the coming Messiah, and Jesus fulfilled all of them. If the Jewish people had truly understood prophecy, Jesus wouldn't have been rejected. That rejection was also prophesied. "He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not." Isaiah 53:3. Because they crucified Him, His blood was shed to take away the sin of all who have faith in Him. Prophecy is also clear that He will return, but before that happens there will be a time like no other. It will be a time when Satan and his demons will terrorize everyone. We are seeing a rise in wickedness among people today, but it will get worse...much worse.

 

We cannot read the news today without seeing that wickedness is growing stronger. Paul told Timothy that the last days would see much evil. "This know also that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away." 2 Timothy 3:1-5. It's as if Paul was describing today's world. Headlines are filled with the promotion of unnatural affection of the homosexual agenda and the killing of babies is seen as a victory. False accusers? Where do I start on that one. The loony left is doing all they can to ruin President Trump while the crimes of Hillary, Obama, and their cronies are ignored. In this upside down world, God is despised while sin is embraced. What's holding back this wickedness from having total control? "For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way." 2 Thessalonians 2:7. King James English is a little hard to understand, but this means something is restraining the wickedness. Until He who restrains is removed, total wickedness is still held back. Humans have no ability to stand against such evil, only God can restrain it. The Holy Spirit is holding the wickedness in check. Christians are indwelt by the Holy Spirit. He leads us and teaches us God's truth, but we can ignore Him. That's happening today and many Christians are so "tolerant" and "open minded" that many think that all roads lead to Heaven. Instead of uncompromising truth being preached from the pulpit, sin is tolerated. It's more important to keep that tax shelter in place than teach that homosexuality and abortion are sins. God forgives all sin, but if a person doesn't repent then there's no forgiveness. Pastors don't want to lose the money dropped in the collection plate if they upset anyone, so they preach politically correct sermons rather than Biblically correct ones. This doesn't equip Christians to stand strong in their faith or fight the evil. There's a remnant who are standing firm on God's truth, but the majority of those who claim to be Christians would rather be accepted by the world than by God. One day very soon God will call those who have truly accepted Him for salvation Home and that's when the Restrainer is taken out of the way. Then the man of sin will be revealed and the final years of earth's history will begin.

 

The truth is, even if the Rapture doesn't happen soon, you or a loved one will die. You still need Jesus in order to be with Him for eternity. Jesus left Heaven to walk among His creation. Only His love for us held Him to the cross. There is no other way to eternal life than through faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6. You may believe that in your mind, but when you study Scripture you will know it in your heart. Sin separated us from God, but Jesus took our sin upon Himself for our redemption. Every person has to make the choice for themselves. That choice must be made while living on this side of eternity.

 

The signs all point to the fact that we are very, very close to the Rapture. Those who haven't accepted Jesus Christ as their Saviour will be left to face horrific times.
