TRUMP WATCH: 5.4.19 - Deal Of The Century: From The Golan To Judea & Samaria

Deal Of The Century: From The Golan To Judea & Samaria - By Eyal Zisser -

This coming June, upon the conclusion of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, the Trump administration will supposedly unveil details of its so-called "deal of the century" to bring an end to the century-old Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Even before its birth, however, many have already been quick to bury the plan.

After all, many of the relevant parties aren't hiding their reservations, some openly declaring they will refuse to accept it.

The Palestinians are looking on forlornly as their dream of having all their demands of Israel delivered on a silver platter by the international community goes up in smoke.

While it might seek to meet the Palestinians' desires, the deal of the century is reportedly light-years from the concessions that previous administrations, from Clinton to Obama, were willing to grant them. U.S. President Donald Trump's proposal makes no mention of the creation of a Palestinian state, and also makes no demand of Israel to withdraw from all of Judea and Samaria to pre-1967 borders.

Arab countries, which can't afford to be viewed at home as "selling out" the Palestinian issue for a pittance in American economic aid, will follow in the wake of the Palestinian rejection. Arab rulers would be happy, of course, to bring the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to an end and turn their attention to the real problems afflicting them, such as the Iranian threat or their failing economies. But from there to a willingness to lie on the fence for the Palestinians, Israel and Trump, the distance is great.

Israel, too, particularly its right-wing camp, has expressed trepidation over the deal, which could call on the Jewish state to concede significant portions of Judea and Samaria. While a Palestinian state won't be established in these areas, the Palestinian Authority's presence there could become legitimized as a fact on the ground, recognized by the international community.

The script, therefore, is already written: The Americans will propose the plan, which will be rejected or squandered and relegated to the dustbin of history as "another plan" in a long line of them throughout the 100 years of conflict.

But it would be a mistake to think that Trump's deal will be completely inconsequential: It could have far-reaching implications for the future of Israeli-Palestinian relations, and more importantly, the future of Israel itself.

First, the details of the plan will become the starting point for any future discussions about the conflict. And thus, instead of or in conjunction with the Clinton outline or former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's offer to P.A. leader Mahmoud Abbas, Trump's plan will also be evoked and used to significantly improve Israel's bargaining position opposite future American administrations and even the international community, which still views the Clinton and Olmert proposals as the basis for any Israeli-Palestinian peace talks.

Second, the Trump proposal could pave a path to a solution by essentially removing several central issues from the agenda for both sides, chief among them the issue of Palestinian refugees. The American plan, which calls for refusing these refugees the right of return and settling them in their current countries, could materialize even without a final-status agreement and hence make it easier to achieve one in the future.

And finally, the Trump plan could give the Israeli government an opportunity to advance its vision of applying Israeli law over swathes of Judea and Samaria, primarily the large settlement blocs with regard to which there is wall-to-wall consensus in Israel.

In light of the Palestinian rejection, which means Trump's deal most likely won't gain any traction, Israel will be able to claim, justified from its point of view, that it cannot wait for the Palestinian side any longer and wants to take unilateral steps in the spirit of the Trump plan, which the administration will presumably support.

And thus, 52 years after the Six-Day War in June 1967, June 2019 could bring tidings of change, even to the point of another revolution in the status of Judea and Samaria. This revolution, we can assume, will receive American recognition similar to Trump's recognition of Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights.

Modern scribes and enemies of the people - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com

The White House Correspondents Dinner is usually an upscale roast of the president in tongue-in-cheek manner. This year's dinner was different. The White House Correspondents Association President Oliver Knox (Sirius XM) told a story about how his son asked him if Donald Trump was going to put him in prison. He was using his son to illustrate his point that during the Trump Administration, journalists are under threat of personal harm. Knox said that he has had death threats and decried that fake news and being called enemies of the people are not punch lines, but rather assaults on the "men and women whose hard work makes it possible to hold the powerful to account." Once again, these guys are leaving out details.

Those covering the White House are still sore about Trump tweeting on March 26, "The Mainstream Media is under fire and being scorned all over the World as being corrupt and FAKE. For two years they pushed the Russian Collusion Delusion when they always knew there was No Collusion. They truly are the Enemy of the People and the Real Opposition Party!" The media may be really angry with Trump over the tweet, but the truth of the matter reflects that the mainstream media actually did foment a false narrative about the President colluding with the Russians. They continue to do so. There were so many false stories over the last two years that it is difficult to count them. This is not counting other falsehoods.

For example, the coverage of the Charlottesville, VA, riots in 2017 is still rearing its ugly head as Senator Joe Biden (D-DE) is using a false quote from CNN to condemn the president as a neo-Nazi supporter. CNN's Chris Cuomo deceptively edited Trump's remarks to give the impression that the President said there were "very fine people on both sides" of the protest in support of the white supremacists. Trump actually condemned the neo-Nazis and in explaining that many people were present to protest the taking down of Robert E Lee's statue and renaming the park, he said, "You had some very bad people in that group (neo-Nazis). But you also had people that were very fine people on both sides." CNN finally admitted Friday that Trump didn't refer to neo-Nazis as very fine people, but the damage has been ongoing for nearly two years.

There are countless examples of how the media has twisted facts or lied in their efforts to hammer Trump. Yet the president of the White House Correspondents Association is crying about assaults on the people who are "holding the powerful to account." This type of accountability is nothing less than coup-making propaganda. The media is not the victim, but the perpetrator. They are the thugs of deception because they not only deceive with their false news, but they also bully people who disagree with them. They are like the scribes that Christ referred to in Matthew 23:27, "Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead [men's] bones, and of all uncleanness."

Trump's Portentous Peace Planning - Terry James - https://www.raptureready.com/category/nearing-midnight/

While news media laser-stream goings-on in the post-Mueller report intrigues, truly portentous things are unfolding, initiated by this White House. Prophetically speaking, matters involved couldn't be more significant in pointing to just how near this world must be to having unleashed upon humanity history's most terrible time.

The most powerful signal of where this generation stands on God's prophetic timeline is the nation Israel. The very fact that it is front and center in the fear of possible thermonuclear war being initiated validates the truth of Bible prophecy. Within that reality, the primary element indicating the nearness to the Tribulation (Daniel's seventieth week) is that a peace covenant involving the Jewish state will almost certainly be forthcoming.

As anyone who reads our commentaries knows, I support this president. I believe, along with Dallas First Baptist pastor Dr. Robert Jeffress and others, that Donald J. Trump was put into office by the Lord of Heaven. The election was a result, I'm convinced, of the prayers of God's people, according to 2 Chronicles 7:14. Trump's election was, in a real sense, miraculous.

The ensuing eruption of hatred toward Trump and all of those who support his presidency was and is Hell-spawned, in my view. It has not abated, despite Mueller's finding no collusion in the Russian interference matter. The minions, both spiritual and human, continue to falsely accuse Mr. Trump, wanting to generate enough lies to bring about his impeachment. It is satanic rage that drives the anti-Trump rhetoric and subterfuge.

So, as stated, I support this president and his efforts in most every area of endeavor to try to "make America great again" (although I think God's intention is more that of restraining evil for the moment). I believe much of it is God-directed, even if the president himself might be somewhat an unwitting administrator of God's will at this time in human history.

That being said, I, like others who support Trump, based upon his being God's man for this hour, am quite wary about reports regarding Israel and the peace process. We get a feel for what might be in the offing through this brief news excerpt.

[President Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, said all should keep an] "open mind" about President Donald Trump's upcoming Middle East peace proposal and said that it will require compromises from both sides, a source familiar with the remarks said...

The proposal has two major components: A political piece that addresses core political issues as the status of Jerusalem, and an economic part that aims to help the Palestinians strengthen their economy.

Unclear is whether the plan will propose outright the creation of a Palestinian state, the Palestinians' core demand. (Source: White House adviser says peace plan to be unveiled by early June, Reuters Published: 04.17.19)

The concern of those who watch this process, of course, is that the peace negotiators are treading on dangerous grounds. To do anything in regard to trying to bring about peace, through a process involving Israel giving up land for that peace, gets to the heart of Bible prophecy for the end of the age (Church Age).

Daniel 9: 27 is at the center of this concern.

And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

It is heavily rumored that the proposal being considered for Trump's making the "deal of the century" includes the dividing of Jerusalem. This is known as the two-state solution where the Palestinians would be given some of Israel's land and part of Jerusalem in order to bring a solution to the centuries-long hostilities between Israel and the Islamic nations. A "covenant" would thus be produced assuring peace.

It is a "covenant" that the Scripture tells us Antichrist will one day "confirm." It is reasonable to conjecture whether this "deal" might have something to do with that Daniel 9: 27 "covenant."

It is with this in mind that we who support the president offer our advice that his administration not go down that roadmap to so-called peace. It would be the wrong course-and a most dangerous one (read Isaiah 28:15, 18).

He who touches Jerusalem-and Israel by extension-touches the "apple of God's eye," according to His Word. It is with this prophetic, scriptural forewarning that we advise against any such portentous peace planning.

Another misleading "news" story by Washington Post - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com

Rachael Blade and Mike DeBonis of The Washington Post led into their story about congressional investigations of President Donald Trump with: "Frustration among House Democratic investigators is intensifying after President Donald Trump's refusal to cooperate with congressional inquiries, leading some to privately question whether they should try to pressure Speaker Nancy Pelosi into launching impeachment proceedings. The chairmen and members of the six panels investigating the president are increasingly angered by the White House's unwillingness to comply as they carry out their oversight role, according to several House Democratic officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity..."

So what we have here is yet another hit piece trying to goad Americans into believing that Trump has committed impeachable offenses because he is not "cooperating" with members of the opposing party who have been trying to remove him from office since before he was inaugurated. This is a very biased, one-sided story by the Washington Post reporters in that it gives only the side of the Democrats as to why Trump is being uncooperative with the six committees who are relentlessly investigating him rather than attending to the business they were elected to do. These "anonymous sources" could be anyone, even on the staff of the Washington Post. There is no credibility or accountability with such a story.

The Democrats' frustration goes far beyond Trump refusing to cooperate with them. They were the ones raising the specter of a Constitutional crisis if Trump lost, but wouldn't accept the results of the election. Yet Democrats themselves have been throwing a temper tantrum by not accepting the results of the election. They gave it their best shot-they had a sitting president who authorized spying on the Trump campaign and on his transition team after he was elected; they paid for a false dossier to undermine Trump's credibility and justify the spying; they had operatives in the FBI and CIA essentially supporting a coup attempt; and they have obstructed the business of America ever since with false accusations and investigations.

Nothing has stuck, so Pelosi ordered her minions to "keep digging." America faces many great challenges, among them the invasion at the US-Mexican border; soaring debt; and a host of other issues where civility and working together would go a long way to restoring security, order, and accountability. The ones not cooperating are those who are loudly demanding cooperation. Like in Titus 1:16, these people say they own the high ground, but in reality they are promoting the opposite..."They profess that they know God; but in works they deny [him], being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate." They want everyone to think they are godly, but deny him in their every deed.

Demons in the Halls of Congress - Jim Fletcher - Jim1fletcher@yahoo.com

The subversives in Congress continue their mayhem.

When Keith Ellison was elected to the House from Minnesota's 5th district in 2006, he became the first Muslim in Congress. Since then, Barack Obama has helped push this forward by allowing tons of Somali immigrants into that Minnesota district, and the result has been the election of the anti-Semite Ilhan Omar. Her outrageous statements about Israel include that the Jewish state "hypnotizes" other nations. This is classic anti-Semitic garbage. Her hatred of Israel is truly over-the-top.

Now, she's claiming that Israel occupies the "historical homeland of the Palestinians." She continues to push the envelope, and Democrat leaders like Nancy Pelosi let her. According to a report in the Jerusalem Post:

"In an op-ed published late Sunday on the Washington Post website, Omar wrote that 'the founding of Israel 70 years ago was built on the Jewish people's connection to their historical homeland, as well as the urgency of establishing a nation in the wake of the horror of the Holocaust and the centuries of antisemitic oppression leading up to it. Many of the founders of Israel were themselves refugees who survived indescribable horrors.

"'We must acknowledge that this is also the historical homeland of Palestinians,' she continued."

It's the historical homeland of both peoples? It is easily historically documented that it is in fact the ancestral home of the Jews, but the Palestinians are demonstrably a creation of political forces in the 1960s.

The fact is, Omar is a mendacious, aggressive Muslim who intends to join with her co-religionists to undermine the U.S. Constitution. Among the added outcomes is a hoped-for marginalization of Israel by her greatest ally.

As if these attacks on Israel aren't bad enough, the New York congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recently called Benjamin Netanyahu a "Trump-like figure." She pushed the envelope by further attacking the Israeli premier:

"In an interview with the Yahoo News Skullduggery podcast, she added that Netanyahu's reelection is a part of 'the ascent of authoritarianism across the world.' Asked if she believes that the prime minister's talk about annexing parts of the West Bank should affect US policy toward Israel, the congresswoman responded, 'I think so,' and said that 'conversations are happening in our caucus.'

"She also gave a surprising answer as to whether she would support a move to cut military or economic aid to Israel, saying that 'I think it's certainly on the table.'"

This is the future of Washington, folks.

And Israel will suffer.
