Why Bible Prophecy Is Important

Why Bible Prophecy Is Important - James Pannafino - https://perspectiveinprophecy.com Isaiah 42:9 Everything I prophesied has come true, and now I will prophesy again. I will tell you the future before it happens. Prophecy is a major part of divine revelation… • Many people are surprised to learn that 27% (up to 33%) of the Bible was prophecy at the time it was given. • Prophecy being accurately fulfilled gives us confidence in both the truth of our faith and future • Much of the Bible was written to not only tell us of what is to come, but more so to prepare us for our own future. Therefore it would be most wise to study the prophetic scriptures as if our life depended on it… because, it really does! 2 Peter 1:21 For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. God promises a special blessing to those who study and pay attention to prophecy… Revelation 1:3 Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near. Jesus Christ is the primary subject of prophecy… Revelation 19:10 Hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. Prophecy helps us understand our world today… The rapidly increasing tempo of change in modern life has given the entire world a sense of impending crisis. • Our world today faces convulsions and changes that threaten our very existence (e.g., constant turmoil in the Middle East, economic collapse, radical jihadists, nuclear proliferation, weather related disasters, the potential of catastrophic global plagues, and one escalating crisis after another). • Modern man is asking questions about the future as never before. • They are solemn questions; they are searching questions. • The Bible is certainly the best place to look for answers regarding what’s going on in our world today… and prophecy spells it out in ‘black and white’ Prophecy reveals the sovereignty of God over history… 2 Peter 1:19 We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it • Bible prophecy proves, beyond any shadow of a doubt, that the God of the Bible is the one true God who alone is sovereign over history! • He not only rules the ages, but He is also in total control over the events of your life too • What comfort and encouragement it is to know that God is in control 1 Thessalonians 4:17-18 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words Prophecy proves the truth of God’s Word… • Just as Bible prophecy establishes that God is the 'True God', it also proves that God’s Word is the 'True Word'. • Simply put, only the Bible authenticates itself through 100% accurate prophetic utterances, proving both its relevance and authority for all of mankind. Prophecy helps us understand the whole Bible… Understanding God’s prophetic program for this world gives a person the best overall framework possible for comprehending the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. Prophecy gives us a proper perspective in life… • Bible prophecy is important because it tells us the end of the story and our destiny. • It reveals that just as our world had a definite beginning (Gen. 1:1), it also has an ending. • This world will not continue on forever through infinite cycles of history. Prophecy is a powerful tool for evangelism… • Many wonder what’s going to happen to this world. Biblical prophecy gives the answers! • There’s no doubt that people are fascinated with the future…Psychic hotlines, tabloid newspapers and astrologers make a living preying upon man’s innate interest in the future. Prophecy can help insulate people from heresy… Think of all the false teachers who have gained a following by appealing to Bible prophecy: William Miller (The Great Disappointment)… Jehovah’s Witnesses… Joseph Smith (Mormonism/LDS)… David Koresh (Branch Davidians)… Heaven’s Gate cult… Harold Camping (May 21, 2011), Edgar Whisenant (88 Reasons), Sun Myung Moon, et al. • They all deceptively appealed to Bible prophecies of the future to gain a listening ear, and all were in error, but those who understand authentic Bible prophecy will not be deceived. For more information on what the Bible teaches about the days in which we live go to: PerspectiveIn Prophecy Hosea Can You See? - by Bill Perkins - https://compass.org/hosea-can-you-see/ The wicked plots against the righteous And gnashes at him with his teeth. The Lord laughs at him, For He sees his day is coming. Psa. 37:12-13 Hosea Can You See? Watching the signs of the times, or as Chuck Missler liked to say, the “times of the signs,” it sure is exciting these days watching so much Bible prophecy being fulfilled. It confirms we’re really close to our exhilarating exit! For example, I’m convinced scripture teaches that the Mark of the Beast comes about post-Rapture, inside the 7-Year Tribulation. Yet here we are, seeing the implementation of a trackable digital currency beginning here in the United States in less than a month. Granted, it will probably take a year or two to phase out cash and get everyone used to getting permission to use their digits. But it’s now being implemented. We’re not thatfar away from humans being 100% controlled by one person or entity. If you’re unfamiliar with the coming digital currency, CLICKHERE for a good summary. This new digital dollar is one of many ways the Globalists/Satanists are using to destroy America—the last obstacle to implementing a one-world government. Leo Hohmann holds nothing back in this article— CLICKHERE And all this fulfilled prophecy begs the question—how long can the Church Age last? To answer this question, we'll look at the Day/Age theory and Hosea 6. Day/Age Theory More and more people are understanding that the seven, 24-hour days in the Biblical Creation week are a template for 7000 years of humans on the earth. God assigned humans7000 years from Adam/Creation to the end of Jesus' 1000 reign as King on earth. A single day being equated with 1000 years is referenced both in the Old and New Testaments. But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day. 2Pet. 3:8 For a thousand years in Your sight are like yesterday when it passes by… Psa. 90:4a We know from the genealogies laid out in the Bible there were almost exactly 4000 years from Adam to the birth of Christ. And we know there are 1000 years of Jesus’ reignon earth before God brings in a new heaven and earth. So if the day/age theory is correct that the Lord has determined 7,000 years of time for humans to be on the earth before the sinless New Heaven and Earth are created, thenthe Church Age is approximately 2000 years long—and soon to end with the rescue of the Believers. Dave Reagan did a great job of explaining this in his Steeling the Mind Bible Conference presentation “The Millennial Age Theory.” You can watch it on Compass TV CLICKHERE Hosea 6 A 2000-year Church Age is consistent with one fascinating Bible Prophecy in Hosea 6:1-2. This unique prophecy is referring to the last three days of the 7-Day Creation Week model. So Hosea 6 simply confirms that Israel will be “torn” and “wounded” for about two days or 2000 years after they crucified their God-sent Messiah. But the Lord will “bandage” them up and bring them back to their land as prophesied in Ezekiel 37. Then the Lord will "revive" Israel and make them His focus again in the Tribulation. Israel will be laid low and humbled during the 7 years and will repent and “return” tothe Lord where they will "live before Him" in the Millennium. Currently in Israel there are only a few hundred Believers. But the Lord will get the Jew's attention in the Tribulation, open the eyes of millions and raise them up to livein His presence as He reigns from Jerusalem as King of the Earth for 1000 years. So getting back to our “How much longer could the Church Age last” question… if the Church Age is about 2000 years long, and it began on Pentecost in 33 AD, it would be likelythat the Rapture would happen between now and 2033. The Day of the Lord The Old Testament includes several verses that confirm the Day of the Lord includes the 7-year Tribulation. Here are two examples: Behold, the day of the LORD is coming, cruel, with fury and burning anger, to make the land a desolation; Is. 13:9 Alas for the day! For the day of the LORD is near, and it will come as destruction from the Almighty. Joel 1:15 And Revelation 20 says six times in six straight verses that the post-Tribulation Millennial Reign of Christ is 1000 years long. That means Jesus’ 1000-year reign doesn’tcontain the 7-year Tribulation. It's a separate and distinct dispensation or time period. So, the Tribulation is 7 years sandwiched between the Church Age and the Millennium. We don't know what year the Rapture will take place. But looking at the prophetic signs today, like the implementation of the digital dollar, it seems a lot more likely tobe closer than 2033. If my analysis is correct, the Rapture could happen anytime between now and 2033, maybe even this year. That’s exciting! As Andy Woods likes to say, there’s not one problema Believer has that Rapture won’t solve! There is so much so quickly falling in place today that we’ve committed to randomly mailing 100,000 Millions Missing? booklets in July-August this year. It's a guide to whatto do, and not do, if you miss the Rapture. We're mailing mostly to addresses in the USA, but we're sending a few thousand overseas too. For info or to read the booklet, CLICKHERE If you wish to add a name and postal mailing address to mail a Millions Missing! booklet mailing, email it to staff@compass.org And if we’re still here next year, we’ll mail another 100,000, Lord willing. And the wolf will dwell with the lamb, And the leopard will lie down with the young goat, And the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little boy will lead them. Also the cow and the bear will graze, Their young will lie down together, And the lion will eat straw like the ox. The nursing child will play by the hole of the cobra, And the weaned child will put his hand on the viper’s den. They will not hurt or destroy in all My holy mountain, For the earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD As the waters cover the sea. Is. 11:6-9 (Those who think we're currently living in the Millennium have a hard time explaining the above verses listing specific characteristics.)
