This obvious conclusion has become reality. Businesses are being robbed in clear view of on-duty police units. Seattle police chief Carmen Best is upset over the forced inability of officers to control crime. After two months of nightly riots, aided and abetted by a super-liberalmayor that only cares about using her city's suffering to make President Trump look like the problem, the Seattle City Council passed an ordinance forbidding officers to use "less-than-lethal" tools to quell extremely violent rioting that has been taking placein the city. The Seattle police chief informed business owners that they are on their own against rioters. The city council has tied her hands. The police no longer have the tools tocombat mob violence. The situation in Seattle has long since spun out of control and may be heading toward the point of no return. Best wrote in a letter admitting that the police aren't goingto be able to help people calling for rescue during the nightly riots. If your store is being broken into and looted or someone has set your warehouse on fire, that's pretty much tough luck. There's no point in sending the first responders out to try to helpif they're only going to have their access blocked and likely be attacked themselves in the process. It appears that we truly are reaching the point of just sitting back and letting it burn. We can only hope that the innocent and the law-abiding can find a way to safelyget out. If this cancer of lawlessness spreads all over the nation, there may eventually be no place to find safety. Some citizens have begun patrols to police their local streets. A city needs an active police force to prevent crime over the whole urban area. A group of people with gunsmay make a few residential areas safe. If mobs are allowed to loot and burn down a shopping center a couple blocks away, the quality of life will still decline for everyone. The 'defund the police' movement has caused gun sales to soar to record highs. In June 2020, over 1.5 million handguns were sold in the United States. In June 2020, handgunsales in the United States grew by 177.5 percent when compared to the same period in the previous year. Another sign that people are concerned about the breakdown of civil order is a high price for gold and silver. Last week, gold reached an all-time record high of $1,982per ounce, surpassing the old record set in 2011. Silver reached a high of $26.20 per ounce; not a record, but it jumped $4 in a three-day period. Some people have suggested that we allow all these liberal-controlled cities to defund their police so they can learn a lesson from their bad judgment. Unfortunately, liberalsdon't learn from their mistakes. They follow up a bad decision with one that is worse. The history of Detroit is a good example. As the city rotted from one socialist program, they replaced it with one that was even more reliant on Soviet-style thinking. We are currently at the point where the police need to be extremely cautious about the use of deadly force involving a suspect. I think the day will come when the policewill be free to use all the tools needed to restore order. There were people who welcomed the Iranian Revolution because they didn't like how the Shah of Iran was restricting their ability to express their views. Some of these same people found out quicklyhow much worse it was to speak their mind under an Islamic government. Most people who read this site see the police in a positive light and abhor the idea of Antifa or Black Lives Matter setting up roadblocks in their community. It is scaryto think that this madness may come to every street in America. All believers can take comfort that the threat is a clear sign that the rapture is very near. Orlando Magic's Jonathan Isaac was the first NBA player to stand for the anthem prior to the league's "bubble" games where painted on each side mid-court in all caps, "BLACK LIVES MATTER,"everyone on the sidelines is wearing T-Shirts that say "Black Lives Matter," and players no longer have their names on their jersey's, but rather sayings like "Equality," "Say Her Name," "I Am A Man," etc. Isaac, however, stood without the T-shirt, duringthe anthem. Bleacher Report quoted Isaac, a black man, as saying, "I do believe that Black lives matter, but I just felt like it was a decision that I had to make, and I didn't feellike putting that shirt on and kneeling went hand in hand with supporting Black lives. I believe that for myself, my life has been supported by gospel, Jesus Christ, and everyone is made in the image of God and that we all forge through God's glory...I thinkwhen you look around, racism isn't the only thing that plagues our society, that plagues our nation, that plagues our world, and I think coming together on that message that we want to get past not only racism but everything that plagues as us as a society,I feel like the answer to that is gospel." Miami Heat's Meyers Leonard, a white man, said he believes "Black lives matter," but he also supports the military as his brother and others who have fought for the country.Leonard said, "I am a compassionate human being and I truly love all people. I can't fully comprehend how our world, literally and figuratively, has turned into Black and white. There's a line in the sand, so to speak: 'If you're not kneeling, you're not withus.' And that's not true." San Francisco Giants relief pitcher Sam Coonrod, a white man, stood based on his Christian beliefs, saying, "I'm a Christian. So, I just believe that I can't kneel before anything besides God." He disagrees with the Black Lives Matterorganization, saying, "How they lean toward Marxism, and they've said some negative things about the nuclear family. I just can't get on board with that." These athletes are making good points AND they are not getting ripped apart by the media and the radical left. Maybe it's how they are making their case. Their teammatessupport them while at the same time disagree with them. It shows respect. Beyond the National Anthem, Isaac and Coonrod look to their faith as to why they are not kneeling. Isaiah 45:23, in his prophecy to Cyrus, the Lord God said, "I have sworn by Myself;The word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness, And shall not return, That to Me every knee shall bow, Every tongue shall take an oath." This is also referenced and repeated in Philippians 2 and Romans 14. These athletes didn't attack people. They respectedothers opinion while disagreeing. They stated their standard, which is far higher than the anthem of any nation. A good example on how to stand. Over the past severalmonths we have seen a large number of food production facilities close down temporarily, food supply chains have been thrown into a state of chaos, and grocery stores have found it increasingly difficult to keep their shelves full. Many years ago I remembersitting in an Econ 101 class as a very young college student, and one of the things that I learned was that prices are going to rise when supply goes down and demand goes up. So it was inevitable that grocery store prices would become more painful, and thelatest numbers that have been released by the BEA are definitely quite alarming... According to data released last week by the Bureau of Economic Analysis, almost all kinds of food have seen an increase in its price since February. Beef and veal pricesare up a staggering 20.2% since before the pandemic, while other staples like eggs (10.4%), poultry (8.6%) and pork (8.5%) have also seen significant increases. If prices keep going up like this, a lot of American families are going to have to start cutting beef out of their diets simply because they cannot afford it anymore. And of course these price increases are coming at a really bad time, because we are in the midst of a historic economic downturn. When an Oregon woman named Bella Floresrecently took her monthly trip to the grocery store, she was shocked by how much prices have gone up... Medford resident Bella Flores says she felt the shock when she recently went to the store to pick up her monthly items. "It kept going up, $50 and then $69, I'm like oh crap man it's a lot," she said. Actually, if I could get out of the grocery store with a bill of only 69 dollars I would be jumping for joy. These days, it seems like you can't even get a full cart of groceries for under 200 dollars where I live. Sadly, more price increases are on the way. Demand is going to remain high, and many food companies will continue to operate at reduced levels. For example, just considerwhat the CEO of Tyson Foods recently had to say... During a recent call with analysts discussing third-quarter financial results, Tyson (TSN) CEO Noel White said that some of the company's facilities "continue to operateat decreased production levels." With food prices already at such elevated levels, the Federal Reserve has decided that now is a perfect time to jack up inflation even more. In the next few months, the Federal Reserve will be solidifying a policy outline that would commit it to low rates for years as it pursues an agenda of higher inflationand a return to the full employment picture that vanished as the coronavirus pandemic hit. Recent statements from Fed officials and analysis from market veterans and economists point to a move to "average inflation" targeting in which inflation above the centralbank's usual 2% target would be tolerated and even desired. Isn't that wonderful? You can almost always count on the Federal Reserve to do the wrong thing. Meanwhile, Fox Business is reporting that a "second wave of layoffs" has now hit the economy... A second wave of layoffs is hitting American workers during a surge in coronavirus cases nationwide, and a Congressional stalemate over stimulus relief, according to a newsurvey by Cornell University and RIWI. The researchers conducted the survey between July 23 and Aug. 1, and found that 31% of workers who had been placed back on payrolls after initially being laid off have nowbeen laid off for a second time. Additionally, 26% of rehired workers say they've been told that they may be laid off again. Those numbers are absolutely staggering. We already knew that millions upon millions of the jobs that were originally lost are never coming back, and now we are learning that millions of the jobs that were actuallyregained are being lost again. So what this means is that at the exact same time that food prices are skyrocketing, countless Americans find themselves out of work and no longer have paychecks comingin. What a nightmare. And this may help to explain why the U.S. Census Bureau is finding that so many Americans are missing meals right now... This week the US Census Bureau published results of a survey in which nearly 30 million out of 249 million respondents said they did not have enough to eat at some pointin the week before July 21. It was the highest number of people reporting insufficient food since the Census started tracking that information in early May. During the first half of this year we witnessed lines at food banks that were up to two miles long, and we are likely to see similar scenes throughout the rest of 2020. But the good news is that the U.S. is still in better shape than much of the rest of the world. As I have detailed previously, giant armies of locusts have been devastatingcrops in Africa, the Middle East and Asia, and now it is being reported that they have decided to invade Russia... Locust swarms have invaded Russia's southern regions causing colossal damage to the local agriculture. According to regional authorities, the damage is estimated at over 13 million US dollars. A state of emergency has been declared in seven parts of the republic of Kalmykia, according to the Emergency Ministry. Meanwhile, "nearly one-third of China has been impacted by severe flooding", and that is having a dramatic affect on crop production over there. Even during the best of times, we struggle to feed everyone on the entire planet, and here in 2020 global food production has been hit by a whole host of major problems. I fully expect that global food supplies will increasingly become tighter, and that has very serious implications for the years ahead of us. Yes, food prices are already very high, but now is the time to stock up because they are only going to go higher. Unfortunately, there are millions upon millions of Americans that can't afford to stock up because they have already lost their jobs and no longer have any income comingin. Cuomo has issueda 14-day quarantine for visitors to New York from some 34 states and Puerto Rico. People flying into New York are required to fill out paperwork confirming where they are coming from and where they are going. If they refuse, they are subject to a $2,000 fine.Cuomo says it is illegal to leave the airport if the papers are not in order. New York City's Democratic Mayor Bill de Blasio has added to the COVID fascism by announcing a $10,000 fine if people choose to ignore the 14-day quarantine order. But, wait, there'smore. At a time when murder rates are increasing and de Blasio has announced plans to defund the police to the tune of a billion dollars, the mayor is also diverting law enforcementefforts to set up quarantine checkpoints around the city. The city also has a "Test and Trace Corps" using agents at places like Penn Station to enforce compliance. The Test and Trace Corps will also call visitors on the phone to check on them. Breitbart reportsthat the head of the corps, Ted Long, announced, "If we can't get through to you on the phone, we've now deployed teams to knock on your door and check in on you to make sure you're safe." de Blasio said that the checkpoints are just the beginning of widerand harsher measures. In California, the Democratic leaders are following suit. California Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom formed "strike teams" within ten state agencies in June. AssociatedPress reported on July 6 that "Ten agencies that make up the strike teams Newsom formed last week together contacted 483,000 businesses. Officials previously said that they sent letters Thursday to every employer, or about 350,000 businesses, warning thatthey could face fines or potential criminal prosecution if they failed to implement a new statewide requirement to wear face coverings." Newsom's raids netted 52 citations over the Independence Day weekend. Seems ironic that on the day America celebrates independence,California was cracking down on its citizens. Two states that could determine the election have governors, mayors and other elected officials that want to defund law enforcement and at the same time use law enforcementand government agencies to oppress the citizenry. Meanwhile, calling the Trump "regime" "fascist," the head of the Revolutionary Communist Party USA, Bob Avakian, endorsed Democratic Party presidential candidate Joe Biden. Avakian said in his statement, "Ourfundamental goal, and guiding star, remains: REVOLUTION-NOTHING LESS." Do you see where this is headed? The true face of communism is being revealed among the Democratic Party's leaders. Communism requires abolishing all religion. AP releases horrifying account of mass violence in Portland Mike Balsamo, reporter for the Associated Press, knows that the violence erupting in Portland, Oregon, is not a myth, despite Democratic House Judiciary Committee Chair Jerry Nadler�s assertion otherwise. Nadler on Sunday told a journalist that despite relevant reporting and videos, the violence in Portland is a nothing more than a �myth� circulating in Washington, D.C. What are the details? Balsamo recently spent an evening at the Mark O. Hatfield Federal Courthouse in Portland. Balsamo, who barricaded himself inside with federal law enforcement while 4,000 unruly demonstrators proceeded to attack the building as well as locations across thecity, said that it was clear the area had turned into a war zone. In a widely shared report, Balsamo shared his experience inside the fortified building. �In the no-mans-land outside stood the fence: A thick, black iron installation, erected six days before, a dividing line between protester and protector, a stark separation between two radically different world views,� Balsamo reported. It was clear that the area was a heavy focus of rioting. �The terrace outside the front door was littered with garbage, the steps leading to the courthouse splattered with paint,� he wrote. �A mixture of anti-police and Black Lives Matter graffiti covered the building�s outer walls and columns to a height of about10 feet.� Balsamo said that tear gas from protests the night before �still hung in the air� and �coated the floor with a slime that had been hurriedly mopped up by custodians earlier that day.� Then he made a terrifying point: Rioters seem to have dehumanized law enforcement officials and people with opposite values to the point of considering them nothing more than lifeless pawns or �thoughtless political minions.� One unnamed deputy U.S. marshal told Balsamo that he is shaken every time he has to leave the building. �You open those doors out, when the crowd is shaking the fence, and � on the other side of that fence are people that want to kill you because of the job we chose to do and what we represent,� he said. �I can�t walk outside without being in fear for my life.I am worried for my life, every time I walk outside of the building.� Another agent told Balsamo that the country has no idea about what�s actually happening in Portland. �You see a lot of commentary on social media about, �Well, they�re wearing protective gear so that it�s not going to hurt them.� Okay, I�ll put the same protective gear on you and I�ll throw a brick at your head and you tell me if you feel comfortable withthat,� a senior U.S. Marshals Service official said. �They can put out 10 seconds of something (on social media) that unfolded over several minutes, and those are the 10 seconds that look bad for us, whereas the rest of it would look bad for everybody,� he added. �They use what serves their narrative.� Agent left with �bloody gashes� and �deadened� hearing As night crept in, the situation at the courthouse became more and more desperate. �Thirty minutes later, someone fired a commercial-grade firework inside the fence,� Balsamo recalled. �Next came a flare and then protesters began using an angle grinder to eat away at the fence. A barrage of items came whizzing into the courthouse: rocks,cans of beans, water bottles, potatoes, and rubber bouncy balls that cause the agents to slip and fall.� Heavy cans of Black Turtle beans appear to be a crowd favorite, but standby water bottles still suffice. Conditions only deteriorated from there, Balsamo noted, as agents were forced to deploy tear gas to disperse and confuse. Protesters began to fire metal ball bearings with slingshots, and agents began firing pepper balls through window slits. �No one talked much over the whir of the industrial fans set up to blow the tear gas back outside,� Balsamo wrote. �The men who weren�t on the front line sat with helmets in their laps but left their gas masks on so they could breathe, the air still thickwith chemical irritants.� More and more fireworks shook the building�s walls as the rioters cheered. An agent was struck by a firework, leaving him burned and bloodied. �It exploded with a boom, leaving his hearing deadened and bloody gashes on both forearms,� Balsamo writes. �Stunned, with help from his cohorts, he stripped to his boxer shorts and a black T-shirt so his wounds could be examined and photographed for evidence.� The night was long, but federal reinforcements showed up and were able to push rioters away from the building. In addition to burning American flags, protesters who gathered in front of the Justice Center and the federal courthouse in downtown Portland set ablaze many copies of the Word of God, which they proudlyfilmed in front of Portland police officers who were present but did not engage with any of the demonstrators. In one video that quickly went viral, Portland protesters were seen feeding an already-burning fire with more and more Bible, which quickly engulfed in flames. �I don�t know what burning the Bible has to do with protesting against police brutality,� tweeted Ian Miles Cheong, the managing editor of Human Events, in response to the demonstration of anti-Christian hate. �Do not be under the illusion that these protests and riots are anything but an attempt to dismantle all of Western Civilization and upend centuries of tradition and freedom of religion.� In multiple separate videos, Portland demonstrators were seen disrespecting the American flag, setting it ablaze while shouting things like, �F*** Trump!� The demonstrators were also seen burning crossesand other large props, which is eerily similar to the actions of the Ku Klux Klan (KKK). �Antifa protestors in downtown Portland have started burning American flags in the street,� tweeted Andy Ngo, who roughly a year ago was violently assaulted by Antifa protesters with concrete �milkshakes.� The streets of Portland have become a dangerous warzone, with no end in sight All around Portland for nearly 70 straight days in a row, chaos has engulfed the city. Protesters have been seen creating random effigies in street intersections, ripping down historical statues, destroyingbusinesses, and creating as much damage and destruction as possible. And all the while the Portland Police are just letting it happen, except for one incident they responded to that involved a shooting with more than 150 rounds of bullets that were discharged. During this particular shooting melee, a woman was reportedly struck in the arm by one of the rounds, resulting in her having to have a tourniquet applied. She was then transported to a nearby hospital viaambulance. But other than that, Portland Police have taken a mostly hands-off approach to everything that is going on, which has led to the rapid breakdown of a once-beautiful city in one of America�s most beautifulregions. �No other injuries have been reported to police, however bullets struck at least 8 occupied apartments and 7 vehicles (unknown if occupied),� the Portland Police Bureau reported about the 150 bullets incident. According to Ngo, this is all par for the course for the �new� Portland, which he says is seeing �a large uptick in shootings and homicides� ever since Mayor Ted Wheeler �abolished the Gun Violence ReductionTeam.� In essence, Portland�s leadership has handed over the city to Antifa and Black Lives Matter (BLM) terrorists who are having their way with it, including with yet another recent bizarre incident involvinga severed pig�s head that was speared into the top of an American flag and donned with a police hat, before being set on fire. �There is a method to the left�s madness,� wrote one Breitbart News commenter. �The anti-white / anti-Christian stance is in the founding writings of communism. Moses Hess implied that whites / Christians were not a part of �mankind.� Communists view whites as subhumans.
