TRUMP WATCH: 8.29.20 - Trump's Mid-East Peace Efforts

Trump's Mid-East Peace Efforts 'Akin to King Solomon Before Temple Construction' Says Rabbi Glick - by Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz - www.breakingisraelnews.com "I will bring them to My sacred mount And let them rejoice in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices Shall be welcome on My mizbayach; For My House shallbe called A house of prayer for all peoples." Isaiah 56:7 (The Israel BibleTM) Following the remarkable success of the Trump-brokered peace agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, Secretary of State Mike Pompeop arrived in Israel onMonday with an agenda to expand peace in the region. Under the agreement, Israel and the UAE agreed to full diplomatic ties including exchanging ambassadors, starting direct flights, and trading openly. Though many of thedetails of the agreement have yet to be revealed, it is believed that the agreement with the UAE would require Israel to delay or cancel plans to declare sovereignty over Judea and Samaria. Pompeo has stated in the past that extending Israeli sovereignty wasa decision "for Israelis to make." In an interview with the Jerusalem Post, Pompeo said that the issue of Israel's granting sovereignty to Judea and Samaria will "have better clarity" when Prime MinisterBenjamin Netanyahu and Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Zayed meet with US President Donald Trump to sign the treaty, possibly in the coming weeks. "I'll leave it to those three leaders to discuss," he said. "The commitment that the Israelis made was that they would not extend their sovereignty for a period of time.We are hopeful that the leaders will all be physically together, and will probably have greater clarity and the ability to answer that more clearly." Pompeo plans to continue his visit to the region by visiting Sudan, Bahrain and the UAE. He hinted to the media that more countries are interested in signing peace agreementswith Israel though he did not specify which. "I couldn't tell you the timing and I couldn't tell you which countries, but I think as other nations around the world come to see that there is enormous benefit to therelationship - from a diplomatic perspective, an economic perspective, and from a security perspective - I think that other nations will see that it is the right thing to do," Pompeo said in an interview with the J-Post. "I think they will also come to seethat building out this set of relationships is the pathway that will lead to stability in the Middle East as well." A historic peace conference Israel Hayom cited "a senior Arab diplomat...who represents the United Arab Emirates" as saying that Pompeo is working to arrange a multi-national Middle East peace conferenceto be held in the next few weeks in one of the Arab Gulf states. The Palestinian Authority accused the UAE and other Arab nations of being traitors for considering normalizing relations with Israel. PLO Secretary-General Saeb Erekat publishedan article titled "The birth of Arab Zionists" in which he blamed Christians, not Jews, for the growing US support for Israel. "Extremist Christian Zionism has appeared in many forms: support for Israel and its advancement as opposed to the backwardness and corruption of the undemocratic Arabs andMuslims. This is one of form of justifying support for Israel. Their use of religion reached the point where US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that he was walking with Christ in order to legalize settlements, recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital andannex Palestinian territories." Rabbi Glick weighs in Rabbi Yehudah Glick, a former Likud Member of Knesset and head of the Shalom Jerusalem Foundation, noted that just as the First Temple was built during a period of peacefollowing a long period of war, a wave of peace agreements could be a harbinger of a period of peace more conducive to the construction of the Third Temple than the first several decades of modern Israel which were characterized by wars. "One thing I cannot tell you is the future," Rabbi Glick said as a disclaimer. "But if the options are to bring a House of Prayer to the Temple Mount through peace or war,it is certainly preferable to do so through peace like the First Temple which was brought through peace." Rabbi Glick noted that just like King Solomon made peace agreements with King Hiram of Tyre (known today as Lebanon) and with the Queen of Sheba, the current efforts topursue peace include Lebanon and African nations. It should be noted that according to the Mishnah (oral law), the altar must be made of unworked stones that have not been formed by iron tools. This is because iron is usedto make weapons of war and the Temple is meant to prolong life, not shorten it. "The normalization agreement with the UAE is unprecedented and seems geared towards bringing a House of Prayer for all nations. For My House shall be called A house of prayer for all peoples." (Isaiah 56:7) This is the first time that an Arab Muslim country is speaking in terms of inclusiveness. The Temple Mount was always a difficult issue when negotiating with other Arabnations but not so with the UAE." Rabbi Glick emphasized that one of the most significant achievements in this agreement is that this it will bring the Arab Muslim citizens of the UAE to the Temple Mountto pray. It should be noted that last week, the Mufti of Jerusalem, Sheikh Muhammad Hussein, issued a fatwa (religious proclamation) declaring that Muslim citizens of the UAE will not be permitted to pray at al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. "There will be direct flights from the UAE,' Rabbi Glick noted. "I expect thousands of Muslims from the UAE who will come to pray on the Temple Mount." Ironically, the fatwa may bring about a situation in which citizens of the UAE who visit the Temple Mount will be prohibited from praying inside and will be forced to prayoutside, alongside the Jews. "This is a huge opportunity because, until now, the Palestinian Muslims refused to pray with us," Rabbi Glick said. "That was preventing the prophecy from coming. Now, withChristians, Muslims, and Jews praying side by side, we can have a House of Prayer for all nations." GOP Convention: positive with a warning - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com The first night of the GOP Convention kicked off with an upbeat video about America being a land of promise. The night featured speakers who showed both the promise of America, its goodness, and opportunity AND Democratic Party radical socialism that threatens to remake our country. It was a stark contrast to the negative name-calling of the Democratic National Convention a week ago. But it's all in the eyes of the beholder how theconvention is being interpreted. The mainstream news media, which gave the Democrats espousing socialism a pass, are outraged with the Republican characterization of a Biden-Harris America. Republicans focused on freedom, free markets, family values, and God. The opening video, voiced by actor Jon Voight, set the tone for the rest of the night, however, many of the networks didn't show it and they broke away for commercials duringimportant parts of the evening. The opening video text, which the mainstream media essentially censored, reads: "We come together tonight to imagine a future...Determined by the shining light of our hopes and values and faith. A country where we are judgedby our character with dignity and respect for all. The belief that all are created equal, that lives matter irrespective of race, creed or color...Committed to excelling beyond our dreams, limited only by our imaginations... where rugged individualism andAmerican exceptionalism inspire the best in each of us. And when we see injustice to one, we act to fix it for all. This is our story. We journey together. "We stand in the breech to preserve a way of life, that while imperfect, has brought prosperity, honor and dignity to generations past and generations to come. Four yearsago, we faced a historic crossroad. Career politicians promising change every election, but delivering emptiness...We chose a different path. A man who is not a politician. A man who cares. A man who loves America, AND all Americans. A man who works tirelesslyfor you, even tonight during this nomination. The results...Jobs were created, embracing the undeniable greatness of diversity. Prosperity. Safe communities. Protecting and serving. Caring for one another. Still, politicians spun their deceptions and obstructedprogress. Fanning the flames of lawlessness. We all know that it is easy to criticize. It takes a true leader to solve problems. "COVID 19. While others criticized without solutions. President Trump's swift action saved lives. And as leading Democrats want to keep businesses closed down, our Presidentis leading the way for a full economic recovery. We are America. Despite unpredictable events, we, as Americans, work together to overcome challenges, write our own stories. The legends for our posterity. America. Land of heroes. Land of Promise. Land of Opportunity.Land of Greatness. Join us over the next four nights as we write the next chapter of our journey and share our vision as the greatest country, with the greatest citizens, that attain the greatest achievements." I know very personally that these words wereHoly Spirit inspired. The President embraces them. Proverbs 29:2 says, "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked bear rule, the people mourn." Keep that in mind as the mainstream media sides without shame with the socialists. Attack dogs on the postman - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com You may not have known, but the Republican National Convention is being held this week. Leading up to the opening night were ongoing hit pieces as the news media continuesto spin President Trump and those who voted for him as terrible people. Reading stories from across the media outlets, there are few, if any, that cast the current presidency in a positive light. They adopted, for example, the Democratic position casting Trump'spostal system reforms as politically motivated to frustrate "vote by mail" efforts. They say the president knows he cannot win reelection if people vote by mail. Do they know something we don't? Sure! Every dead person on the voter rolls will be voting bymail. Wait and see. This vote by mail is so important to the Democrats that they voted in an emergency session to give the Post Office an extra $25 billion and to prohibit any postal reformsuntil after the election. This against the backdrop of adjourning Congress before passing any additional COVID 19 relief for Americans who have been negatively impacted by the economic effects of coronavirus. Socialist Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), saidupon passage of the Post Office bill, "Let it be clear: This administration is waging an authoritarian campaign to sabotage this election by manipulating the Postal Service to suppress our votes...this is not a conspiracy theory. This is fascism. We will notstand for this." There are a lot of problems with Tlaib's statement. There is so much opportunity for fraud with vote by mail, which has been illuminated by ballots missing for months, deadpeople voting (this also is because Democrats have blocked updating voter rolls with the false argument that updating voter rolls results in voter suppression), and people voting on behalf of those who don't cast their own votes. These are all known tacticsof stealing elections. The post offices in Democratic Party-controlled areas have supported these kinds of shenanigans for decades. I have seen it first hand when I discovered the post office in Merifield, VA., had "lost" a "get out the vote" mass mailingby one of my candidate clients. I found bags and bags of them in a corner in the post office. The postmaster threatened to arrest me if I didn't leave. In that case, I called the Postmaster General in the Reagan Administration and I was not the one who had to leave. I'm just saying that Democrats are more concerned aboutvote by mail than they are about COVID 19 relief. Yet they will say Trump is killing people by how he is handling COVID 19, AND call him a fascist for foiling their plans to steal the election by mail. But they are accusing him of what they are doing. Themedia attack dogs are all too happy to weigh in with their leftist opinions disguised as news. In Matthew 24:4, Christ says, "Take heed that no man deceive you." He was speaking to his disciples about the end times. In this example, you must not be deceivedor you will be participating in the end times of your rights to freely speak and worship your God. Convention truth and lies - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com The mainstream news media is demonstrating for all to see its bias and blatant advocacy for socialism and the Democratic Party. The coverage of theRepublican National Convention is a disgrace to the First Amendment. Case in point is the vanguard of fake news, CNN. The network didn't do much fact checking during the Democratic National Convention last week, but is running on so-called "fact check" overtimeduring the Republican convention. Many of CNN's facts also need to be checked because the facts they are often using are twisted to hold just barely enough truth to justify saying the GOP team is not accurate. CNN is fact checking from a political left-leaninglens. They admit it. Remember New York Governor Andrew Cuomo's brother Chris? The one who CNN positioned as a selfless husband and father quarantining in his basement withCOVID 19, but was actually found on Easter Sunday breaking his state-ordered quarantine and getting into a confrontation with a cyclist? Chris Cuomo, wrapping up CNN's Monday night coverage of the GOP convention, defended CNN's disproportionate fact checkingof Republicans. Cuomo contended that CNN didn't fact check the Democratic Convention so much because Democrats don't lie. Cuomo said that Republicans lie, especially Donald Trump, so CNN had to fact check the GOP convention so people will know who to believe. Cuomo said, "[A]gain, well, who are people going to believe? We'll see who makes the better case. And yeah, you can fact-check it to death. We couldfact-check this convention all night. People were saying you didn't fact-check the Democrats. They are not lying, the way Trump does. Do politicians lie? Of course, both parties engage in it. Yes, I'll give you the full 'Guilfoyle.' But not like Donald Trump.Nobody lies the way this man does, has, and will that I've ever seen in politics. So - he's lying to you." So, according to Cuomo's logic, anytime a Republican, especially Donald Trump, opens their mouth to speak, they are lying. This is unmitigated bias byCuomo and CNN masquerading as news media. I recall a comment by some reporter that the President and people around him during the convention segments were not practicing safe "social distancing."This reporter was making some sort of issue out of it. Fact is, which the reporter didn't bother to check, everyone getting remotely close to the President or his team are COVID tested and the results are provided that very day. Another socialist media whineis about the "controversy" over President Trump using the White House for campaign purposes. It is only a controversy because the media is making it one. President Ronald Reagan made his announcement to run for reelection from the Oval Office. So Trump's speechThursday is not a precedent. So many lies by the media, so little time to fact check all of them. As in Isaiah 59:14, "truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter." Convention contrasts - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com The coverage of the Republican National Convention continues to be skewed and misrepresented by the news media and Democrats who are having apoplexy over the "God and Country"approach from mainstream America speakers providing a positive view of our country along with warnings against Democratic Party socialism. There is story after story that establish a false fact and then fact-checking the GOP speakers against the false fact. The media and Democrats are assuming their opinions as fact and anything that disagrees with their opinions is a lie. This misrepresentation of events is incredible. Seeing the convention first-hand and observing the reports on it are as if you didn't seethe same thing. The Democrats are calling the convention a "dark" portrayal of America. This is once again, them making an accusation of exactly what they did or are doing. Convention speakersare heralding the unique and positive characteristics of America and warning that our way of life is facing a clear and present danger in the blatant socialism advocated by the Democrats and the Biden/Harris presidential candidacy. For example, House SpeakerNancy Pelosi (D-CA) said that Republicans opposing "vote by mail" are "doing everything they can [to] suppress the vote with their actions, scare people, intimidate by saying law enforcement will be there, diminish the role of the postal system in all of this. It's really actually shameful. Enemies of the state." In reality, it's just the opposite. They are trying to ensure voting integrity. But this is indicative of the political intolerance and ideological bigotry of the socialists. It is exactly what speaker after speaker, from farmers to loggers to fishermento walk away Democrats to elected officials, are warning about. Never in history has there been such a socialist-advocating presidential ticket by a major political party as is Biden/Harris. From the acceptance of socialist Bernie Sanders (D-VT) healthcareto Alexandria Casio-Cortez's (D-NY) Green New Deal, these people want to release prisoners, defund police, provide healthcare to noncitizens, open borders, mandate the closing of businesses that do not support their positions, and cancel the fee speech andfreedom of worship by anyone who disagrees with them. You don't have to speculate on these things, they are saying them and doing them. We have some very difficult challenges in this country. It is not perfect. We are seeing first-hand the outcome of leaving education of our children to people who do notreflect Judeo-Christian values. We are witnessing the results of electing career politicians and checking that box off that we don't have to participate. We are experiencing the consequences of self indulgent, emotional and extra-biblical church. Sadly, thesethings took a long time to get in place, they will take even longer to correct. But it truly starts with Christ's new commandment (John 13:34), "that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another." Love is not always easy. It can'tbe easy and still conquer all. There is a time for accountability in love, and that time is long spent for repentance and accountability. This convention is exposing it all. Pelosi says Biden shouldn't debate Trump: 'I wouldn't legitimize a conversation with him' HouseSpeaker Nancy Pelosi suggestedThursday that former Vice President JoeBiden cancelhis three scheduled debates with PresidentTrump becausethe commander-in-chief would "belittle" the forum and engage in "skullduggery." "I don't think that there should be any debates," Pelosi said out of the blue at a news conference at the Capitol, saying she doesn't want the debates to be "an exercise in skullduggery." HILLARYCLINTON SAYS JOE BIDEN SHOULD NOT CONCEDE ON ELECTION NIGHT 'UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES' "I wouldn't legitimize a conversation with him, nor a debate in terms of the presidency of the United States. Now I know that the Biden campaign thinks in a different way about this." Indeed, Biden told MSNBC Thursday he's still planning on showing up to the high-profile faceoffs with the president. "As long as the [debate] commission continues down the straight and narrow as they have, I'm going to debate him," Biden said, adding that he'd call out any Trump lies in real-time. "Im going to be a fact-checker on the floor as Im debating him," he added. Pelosi is the latest high-profile Democrat to offer a major piece of advice to the former vice president. Earlier this week, former 2016 Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton said Biden shouldn't concede the race under any circumstances. Republicans pointed to Pelosi's remarks as another sign that Democrats are trying to hide Biden. TERRYMCAULIFFE RECORDED SAYING DEMS PREFER BIDEN STAY 'IN THE BASEMENT' Michael Ahrens, communications director for the Republican National Committee, said Democratic leaders are advising Biden to not debate, not to leave the basement and not to concede. "Odd way to project confidence in your nominee," he tweeted. Trump campaign communications director Tim Murtaugh questioned whether Democrats were laying the groundwork for a video conference debate so Biden could be assisted by "his handlers." We are also concerned that his handlers will ultimately decide to keep him in his basement and avoid debates entirely or suggest holding them remotely via Skype, where Biden could rely on nearby handlers, a teleprompter, or notes," Murtaugh said in a statement."These possibilities would be unacceptable and an affront to voters. Debates have been an issue of contention for weeks as the Trump campaign has pushed for an additional early debate to coincide with early voting that will be underway in states. And the idea of abandoning debates all together made headlines after a NewYork Times op-ed earlier this August argued that presidential debates should be "scrapped," with critics suggesting that it's the latest effort by the media to prevent Biden from debating Trump. Pelosi made the comment at her weekly news conference, unprompted, and her advice was not in response to a question about debates. She cited Trump's "disgraceful" performance at the 2016 debate when he was "stalking" Clinton as one reason Biden should breaktradition and sit out the debates. CNN'SBRIAN STELTER RIDICULED FOR CLAIMING 'RIGHT-WING MEDIA TEMPEST' IS BEHIND PUSH FOR BIDEN NOT TO DEBATE TRUMP "So I think that he'll probably act in a way that is beneath the dignity of the presidency; he does that every day," Pelosi said of Trump. "But I think it will also belittle what the debates are supposed to be about. And they're not to be about skullduggeryon the part of somebody who has no respect for the office he holds, much less the democratic process. "Why else would he try to undermine the elections in the manner in which he is doing?" Pelosi continued. "So, if Joe Biden asked me what I thought about it, [I'd say] I don't think that he should dignify that conversation with Donald Trump." Shortly after Pelosi's comments, the Biden campaign responded that while they agree with the speaker's characterization of Trump, Biden will go through with the debates as planned. The Biden campaign already agreed in June to three debates in September and October in a letter to the Commission on Presidential Debates, in addition to a vice-presidential debate. We certainly agree with Speaker Pelosi on her views of the President's behavior," Biden campaign spokesperson Andrew Bates said. "But just as she has powerfully confronted that behavior in the Oval Office and the Cabinet Room, Joe Biden looks forward to doingthe same on the debate stage." The first debate is scheduled for Sept. 29.
