Comrade Kamala - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com Democratic Presidential hopeful Joe Biden took an extreme left turn by picking Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA) as his vice presidential running mate. Stating the obvious andunderscoring a double meaning with his words, the immediate past president said, "By choosing Senator Kamala Harris as America's next vice president [Biden] has underscored his own judgment and character. Reality shows us that these attributes are not optionalin a president." And the media, exemplified by Politico, is all hyped up that, Harris would be "the first woman, the first Asian American, and the first Black vice president if elected." Not much is being said about qualifications except that she is of Indianand Jamaican descent. Her father, Donald Harris, engineered a student-led protest at Stanford in January 1974 demanding a formal commitment to establishing a field of study in "radical politicaleconomics," according to The Stanford Daily Archives. The demands came after the university refused to permanently hire a visiting Marxian economist-that economics professor was Donald Harris. A November 3, 1976 editorial in The Stanford Daily concluded, "Harriswas described as too charismatic, a pied piper leading students astray from neo-classical economics." Eventually, Stanford kept Harris on as a professor and, according to the Mercury News, he developed a program teaching alternative economic analysis, includingMarxism. On a June 19 interview with the Intelligencer, Kamala Harris dodged questions about defunding the police, claiming she didn't really know what Minneapolis was doing. Sheadmitted that police are necessary to do investigations on child sexual assault cases, homicide and rape cases. But then she said, "We need to reimagine how we achieve public safety, we need to critically examine whether our distribution of resources reflectsour priorities, based on what we know is the smart way to achieve public safety and healthy communities." She suggested taking money from the police departments and redistributing it to public schools, treating mental health, and affordable housing. While campaigning for president in November 2019, The Hill reported Harris as saying, "I'm not trying to upend and blow up systems. I'm not trying to start a revolution.I am not a socialist," but she added that "capitalism assumes that everyone is starting out on the same base and then people will compete and the best will rise. The majority of people aren't starting out on the same base, and we've got to lift people up andin particular working people." In early 2019, Harris became one of the first senators to support the radically socialist Green New Deal proposed by Democratic Socialist congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). Harris also supported socialist SenatorBernie Sanders (I-VT) bill that would outlaw private health insurance. She has also said she would use Executive Orders to bypass Congress to achieve gun control. Maybe Harris tells you that she is not a socialist, but her pedigree and her actions say different. Her definition of capitalism is taken from the Marxist playbook. Shesupports an extremist legislation that essentially requires ripping apart the free market system, while saying she is not trying to upend or blow up systems or start a revolution. As Attorney General for California, Harris urged the Supreme Court to forceHobby Lobby to pay for abortifacients for employees. Her argument was that if you are owners of a corporation, religious beliefs must be put aside. As a senator, she has a 100% rating from Planned Parenthood. As is said in Ephesians 5:6, "Let no man deceiveyou with vain words: for because of these things comes the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience." The consequences of this coming election are immense. Over the weekend, for example, President Trump issued Executive Orders to defer payroll tax obligations, provide wage assistance to those who have lost their jobs,postpone evictions of renters and provide financial assistance for rent, and extended student loan repayment relief. Much of the money is from unused funds allocated for other areas of relief. These measures were taken because Democrats are playing stall-ballwith the election at your expense. The president explained in one of his Executive Orders: "Because many of the relief programs created by the Congress have expiredor will shortly expire, my Administration and the Republican leadership in the United States Senate have proposed multiple options to continue to provide needed relief to Americans. But Democratic Members of Congress have twice blocked temporary extensionsof supplemental unemployment benefits. Political games that harm American lives are unacceptable, especially during a global pandemic, and therefore I am taking action to provide financial security to Americans." Now the Democratic Leadership is expressingoutrage over the president's actions. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) Sunday told CNN's "State of the Union," "The fact is, is that whether they're legal or not takestime to figure out. I associate my remarks with what the senator who says, they're unconstitutional slop. Right now, we want to address the needs of the American people. As my constitutional advisers tell me, they're absurdly unconstitutional. But right nowour focus -and that's a parallel thing-right now the focus, the priority, has to be on, again, meeting the needs of the American people sufficiently allocating resources to send children to school, not threatening schools that if they don't have actual attendance,they won't get the federal dollars." No Pelosi, it's about putting food on the table. Pelosi is taking a lot of words to say that she and the Democratic Party leadership are doing everything they can to obstructTrump's efforts to help American citizens during a crisis. She and the Democratic Party are hoping that by locking down the economy and abandoning efforts to assist those in need, that Americans will vote Trump out of office. That's all this is. Pelosi saysher focus is meeting the needs of the American people, but they are refusing to pass legislation that does that. When Trump bypasses them, they cry foul. As Christ said in Matthew 24:4, "Take heed that no man deceive you." The Bible often warns against deception.The deception here is Democratic Party leadership wants Trump out of office and they are willing to break your back to get it done, while saying that Trump is wrong to help you. The Common Thread Of Destruction - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjoy.com The Washington Post has done a hit piece on President Trump about how his negotiating skills have failed him as president and he has had to resortto Executive Orders to get things done. "The president's inability to reach a deal with Congress on a payroll tax cut or an extension of unemployment benefits underscored his underwhelming record as a presidential negotiator, according to several historiansand lawmakers from both parties," wrote Toluse Olorunnipa and Ashley Parker on August 9. This is yet another example of fake news. Nowhere in this article is there any mention that the Democrats hold the House of Representatives and that the Democrats havebeen obstructing the Trump agenda since before he took office. In fact, Trump arguably has accomplished more than any modern president given the fierce opposition he has faced. The use of Executive Orders (EOs)by presidents is commonplace. According to The American Presidency Project, Trump is about average in the use of EOs. Jimmy Carter, in four years, issued 320/80 per year. Ronald Reagan, who faced extraordinary opposition from Congress, had 381 in two terms,48 per year. George H.W. Bush issued 166 in four years. Bill Clinton directed 364 in two terms. George W. Bush, 291 EOs in two terms; and Barack Obama, 276 in two terms. Donald Trump has issued 172 during one term-49 per year. Many of Trump's EOs were undoinghis predecessors harmful EOs. Can you see how the leftist media presents a case to make someone look bad, absolving political allies of any wrong-doing when they did the exact samething? Let's look at a couple more examples. In Chicago, Portland, Seattle and other places where there are Democratic Mayors and Governors in charge, there is unchecked violence against the citizens that live there conducted by Antifa and Black Lives MatterOrganization "protesters." The Democratic officeholders in these places refuse to take measures to stop the violence, and yes, killing. Additionally, California, New York, Washington, DC, Michigan, Minnesota and other states with Democratic governors havethe biggest problem with COVID. Why? They also are taking the most stringent actions against their citizens regarding lockdowns, fines, mask requirements, gatherings, etc. All this obstruction in Congress, refusal to enforce the law, the lack of sensible COVID prevention measures, the resultant lockdown and resistanceto reopen the economy, and the taking away of citizen's rights are being done by Democratic Party officeholders. They tried to take out Trump over the past 4 years. It didn't work. So now their actions are harshly impacting citizens and they are blaming iton Trump, hoping that if they resist long enough people will vote Trump out of office. These are like those written about in Jeremiah 9:5, "And they will deceive every one his neighbor, and will not speak the truth: they have taught their tongue to speak lies,and weary themselves to commit iniquity." They are the common thread to the chaos and destruction in our nation. The likes of California's Democratic Party bosses, including Senators Kamala Harrisand Dianne Feinstein, Governor Gavin Newsom, and Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti seek to shut down the free exercise of religion, free speech and the right of the people to peaceably assemble through their ongoing jack boot tactics against churches in California.Many other places under Democratic Party control are experiencing the same. Christians are asking what to do as we are losing our rights across the country where Democrats are in control of states and cities.They demand that the economy continue to be locked down, depriving people to assemble at workplaces to put food on the table. Crime skyrockets because Democratic Party Mayors, City Councils, and governors are defunding or tying the hands of police. These politiciansallow extremists to gather en masse, riot in the streets, burn and ravage businesses day after day, night after night, endangering the public safety. Yet these same Democratic Party officials forbid, under penalty of excessive fines and arrest, the peacefulgathering together of Christians answering the call to worship. It is time to stand up against this tyranny. Yes, we needed a reasonable amount of time to understand what we were dealing withregarding COVID 19. That time is past. While many of us have known people who either contracted or have succumbed to COVID 19, we need to look at the facts-even if they cannot be trusted, are overreported or otherwise. This virus infects about 1.5% of thepopulation and the death rate is far less than that-about 5/100 of the population. Yet your job, your way of life, your freedom is rushed away like a flood down the river of fear. This is an injustice to us all. We are losing our country and politicians, whoseonly agenda is to get rid of the current president, are happy to see the nation crumble. What to do? Pastor John MacArthur of Grace Community Church in Los Angeles, gives the example. In defiance of Los Angeles andCalifornia state orders, he held church services last Sunday. An estimated 7,000 people showed up. Pastor Rob McRoy of Godspeak Calvary Chapel in Newbury Park, CA did the same. McRoy was forbidden by court order to hold church. He defied it. Civil disobedience.As Peter and the Apostles said in Acts 5:29, "We ought to obey God rather than men." I'm not saying be reckless in your disobedience. Take precaution that you don't cause another to stumble, i.e. get COVID 19, but it is time to stand up for your rights beforeyou lose them. If you are healthy, stay healthy, but fight the good fight. Fear has shut down our nation. Courage will reopen it.
