What are they trying to hide? A lot of speculation can go into answering that question—all the way from wild-eyed crazy conspiracy theories presented as fact to would-be brainwashed disciples on both fringes of the political spectrumto those who are earnestly trying to seek the truth in order to make reasonable and legitimate plans for living their lives. But the bottom line is that Democrats are suppressing truth and Republicans are so weak-kneed about prodding the woke, that they areineffective opposition. Under the guise of Republican voter suppression and raising the specter of the racist Jim Crow laws, the Democratic party is in full gear suppressing the truth about voterintegrity. At every juncture, either through political maneuvers or using the court systems, Democrats in key states like Arizona, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, and Wisconsin have done their level best to thwart efforts to improve voter integrity—not onlyby suppressing investigations into allegations of fraud, but also to block new laws to prevent cheating. All the while, they are screaming racism and Jim Crow. Democrats invented Jim Crow laws that oppressed black people for over 100 years after the CivilWar. Now they projecting them onto the very people who are trying to ensure voter freedom and prevent breeches in election integrity. The Democrats have led yet another attempt to lockdown information about the origins of COVID 19. In May, the Senate unanimously passed a bill to declassify intelligenceon the origins of COVID 19 and the Chinese coverup. On July 20, 216 Democrats in the House of Representatives voted to block making the information available to the public. And what about the Biden Justice Department deciding not to investigate those governorsthat sent COVID-infected people to nursing homes resulting in the deaths of thousands of elderly? It just so happens that the governors of those states—New York, Pennsylvania, Michigan and New Jersey–are Democrats. Question: What are they trying to hide? Answer:These are tactics employed by communists when they are trying to take over a country. President Trump is being ridiculed by the press for pointing this out in a recent speech. He said, “We are at the beginning of a communist system. Radicals are seizing powerand destroying everything we hold dear as Americans and it’s happening.” He added that the left is trying to “dismantle the rule of law, censor speech, take over the free press, imprison political opponents.” In a land where people claim to be woke, they areslumbering when it comes to preserving freedom. On Thursday, we learned that the Biden administration is going to require allemployees of the federal government to either be vaccinated or to �submit to regular testing and mitigation requirements�. Needless to say, there are large numbers of federal employees that will never take a COVID vaccine under any circumstances, and mostof them are Republicans. In fact, a recent Washington Post survey found that less than 5 percent of Democrats say that they will definitely not get a COVID vaccine, but for Republicans the number was nearly 40 percent. So as federal employees start quittingover this new mandate, the vast majority of those that will be leaving will be conservatives. And we aren�t talking about a small number of people. Today, there are millions of Americans that work directly for the federal government� The federal government numbers include active duty military personnel and U.S. Postal Service workers. The U.S. military has about 1.4 million active duty service membersand another 800,000 reserve forces. There are approximately 800,000 postal workers. Beyond the military and the postal service, 2 million people�just over 1% of the U.S. workforce or 0.6% of the total population�are permanently employed by the federal government.More than 70% of the federal workforce serves in defense and security agencies like the Department of Defense, the intelligence community agencies, and NASA. When I first learned about this, I was stunned that the Biden administration would be willing to go this far. But apparently this is really happening. Just a little while ago, CNN reported the following� President Joe Biden will announce on Thursday a requirement that all federal employees and contractors be vaccinated against Covid-19, or be required to submit to regulartesting and mitigation requirements, according to a source with direct knowledge of the matter. The announcement will come in remarks where Biden is also expected to lay out a series of new steps, including incentives, in an attempt to spur new vaccinations as theDelta variant spreads rapidly throughout the country. It will also follow the decision by the Department of Veterans Affairs to require its frontline health care workers to be vaccinated over the course of the next two months. This came just hours after it was first announced that the Biden administration was �considering� such a move� President Biden on Tuesday said his administration is considering making it mandatory for federal workers to get the coronavirus vaccine. The president�s comments, which echoed those of his press secretary hours earlier, came one day after the Department of Veterans Affairs announced it will require its front-linehealth care workers to be vaccinated against COVID-19. This is how the Biden administration operates. First they float something to evaluate public reaction, and then they do it. So how many federal employees will quit their jobs due to this new mandate? Will it be thousands? Will it be tens of thousands? Could it be hundreds of thousands? What we do know is that the number of Republicans that will quit will be far greater than the number of Democrats that will quit, and that could fundamentally alter thecomposition of the federal workforce for many years to come. I think that it will all come down to the nature of the �regular testing and mitigation requirements�. If those requirements are not too burdensome, the number of federalworkers that quit may be relatively low. But if those requirements turn out to be quite painful, I could see very large numbers of employees quitting. On Tuesday we also learned that the CDC has decided that it is time for all Americans to start wearing masks again� The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended Tuesday that fully vaccinated people begin wearing masks indoors again in places with high Covid-19 transmissionrates. The agency is also recommending kids wear masks in schools this fall. Federal health officials still believe fully vaccinated individuals represent a very small amount of transmission. Still, some vaccinated people could be carrying higherlevels of the virus than previously understood and potentially transmit it to others. This seems rather odd, because we were promised that life would go back to normal for those that got their shots. But it turns out that vaccinated individuals that catch COVID �have just as much viral load as the unvaccinated�� CDC Director Rochelle Walensky said recent studies had shown that those vaccinated individuals who do become infected with Covid have just as much viral load as the unvaccinated,making it possible for them to spread the virus to others. Based on that finding, Walensky said the CDC is also recommending that all school children wear masks in the fall. And in California, officials have discovered a very curious pattern� A new analysis finds several counties with above-average vaccination rates also have higher COVID case rates, while case rates are falling in counties with below-averagevaccination rates. Statewide data analyzed by the Bay Area News Group found five counties, Los Angeles, San Diego, Alameda, Contra Costa, and San Francisco, have both a higher percentage ofpeople who are fully vaccinated than the state average and a higher average daily case rate. All of this appears to directly contradict a lot of the promises that our leaders were making. So what is the truth? Needless to say, the truth is that you have been fed a whole bunch of lies. This pandemic is far from over, and it is just a matter of time before even more �pestilences� come along. Sadly, global leaders have responded to this current �pestilence� by resorting to full-blown tyranny. The Biden administration knows that there are huge numbers of conservatives that would quit their jobs rather than be bullied into taking a COVID vaccine. But they are going ahead with this mandate anyway. And now that the federal government has done this, it is probably inevitable that countless other employers will follow suit. It was like �the wild west�, and that could be bad, but in many ways it was also very good. The Internet was very decentralizedat that time, and information could flow very freely. For the very first time, ordinary people could communicate with others all over the globe on a massive scale, and I believe that was an incredibly positive development for humanity. Unfortunately, the elitewere absolutely horrified by this free flow of information and they became obsessed with restricting it. Today, highly advanced algorithms have been designed to shape our behavior online. We are increasingly being funneled to just a handful of immensely powerfulcorporate-owned websites, and information on those sites is heavily monitored, controlled and censored. In particular, the largest �social media websites� have undergone a radical transformation over the past several years. At one time, if you had something interesting tosay it was fairly easy to get something to go viral. But now the largest social media websites systematically suppress certain groups, viewpoints and belief systems. If you are opposed to the dominant narratives that they are trying to push, it is going tobe exceedingly difficult for you to get much traction online. Of course if you get frustrated with the extreme levels of censorship, you could always seek out other social media sites where the censorship is lighter. But the largest social media websites are where all the people are. As far as total Internet traffic is concerned, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and Reddit are allin the top 10. I would consider Wikipedia to be a social media website too, and it is in the top 10 as well. This gives the largest social media companies an extraordinary amount of influence over how people view the world, and one recent survey found that the vast majority ofAmericans believe that they have too much power� While most Republicans and Democrats believe social media companies wield too much power, Republicans are more likely to hold this view, according to a new Pew ResearchCenter survey. A whopping 82 percent of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents think social media companies have too much power and influence in politics, compared with 63 percentof Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents, the survey said. But even though we believe that they have too much power, we just keep going back. In fact, most of us are deeply addicted. One recent poll discovered that 73 percent of British adults �can�t even imagine going a full 24 hours without at least one screen to stare at�� From computers and tablets to smartphones and TV sets, nowadays most people�s days consist of staring at one screen and then moving on to the next. As such, a recent pollof 2,000 British adults reports a whopping 73 percent can�t even imagine going a full 24 hours without at least one screen to stare at. What about you? Could you go a full day without the Internet? The same poll found that adults are spending approximately six hours a day �in front of screens�� How glued are we to our devices exactly? On average, researchers report adults spend about six hours daily in front of screens. We are only awake for about 16 hours a day. Needless to say, if you allow anyone to pump six hours of �programming� into your mind each day, it is going to radically alter how you view the world. In addition to frying our minds, being addicted to the Internet can also have physical consequences. For example, a different study found a direct link between Internetaddiction and sleep problems in young people� More evidence suggests the severity of internet addiction (IA) is directly related to the severity of sleep problems in youth. Results from a study of more than 4000 adolescent students show IA severity was linked to less sleep and to daytime sleepiness. In addition, boys aged 12-14 years who wereaddicted to computer games vs social media networking were the most affected. Experts have found that the Internet can even make you sick. Medical professionals are telling us that some people can actually develop �cybersickness� if they use the Internettoo much� Cybersickness refers to a cluster of symptoms that occur in the absence of physical motion, similar to motion sickness. These symptoms fall into three categories: nausea,oculomotor issues and general disorientation. Oculomotor symptoms, like eye strain, fatigue and headaches, involve overworking the nerve that controls eye movement. Disorientation can manifest as dizziness and vertigo. And several cybersickness symptoms, suchas difficulty concentrating and blurred vision, overlap categories. These issues can persist for hours and affect sleep quality. So it is important to be careful. As with so many other things in life, moderation is the key. Without a doubt, there is still so much about the Internet that is very positive. Personally, I have been using it to relentlessly share the truth for more than a decade. TheInternet has allowed me to touch millions upon millions of people all over the globe, and I am always encouraged when readers email me from the other side of the planet. We should always remember that the Internet is simply a tool. It can be used for great good, but it can also be used for great evil. And right now, the elite are ruthlessly clamping down on free speech so that they can impose their �values� on everyone else. They say that they are protecting us by restricting the flow of �disinformation�, but way too often they are the ones that are spreading �disinformation�. For example, Joe Biden was accused of spreading disinformation about the COVID pandemic during his recent town hall on CNN. Newsweek looked into that claim, and they rated it to be true� True. Joe Biden spread misinformation about COVID vaccines at a CNN town hall on Wednesday. It is not true that people vaccinated against COVID will not get the disease, be hospitalized, end up in an ICU, or die because of it. So does this mean that we should censor Joe Biden�s speech and ban him from all social media platforms? No. I believe that everyone should be allowed to speak, because that is what our founders would have wanted. Unfortunately, freedom of speech on the Internet is nearly dead, and with each passing day there are even more calls for stricter censorship. Much like what we have for our financial credit ratings, China's "social credit" system attaches a positive point value to behavior that the government views as praiseworthy(showing integrity, responsibility and/or trustworthiness) and a negative point value for behavior it wants to discourage. "Bad" behavior includes spending too much time playing video games, not caring for aging parents, poor driving, jaywalking, not payingone's debts and, of course, criticizing the government. The enormity of this effort is impossible to overstate. Chinese companies (and foreign companies authorized to do business in China) collect massive amounts of data on Chinesepeople from their cellphone and internet use and turn it over to the Chinese government. Dozens of government agencies share data and information with each other. Hundreds of millions of surveillance cameras watch Chinese people in cities across the country(with hundreds of millions more to come). Advanced facial recognition technology and complex algorithms assist in determining the identity of those being surveilled in public places. And, of course, there are the "informers" � members of the local communitywho report the good and bad conduct of their neighbors and co-workers to authorities. Eventually, every Chinese citizen over a certain age will have a "social credit" score. The consequences of a low social credit score are serious. Those with low scores are "blacklisted" and denied travel benefits, including access to visas or even the abilityto buy plane or train tickets. They can be denied employment or promotions at work. Their children can be denied access to the best schools and universities. Their names and faces are often placed prominently on public billboards to "name and shame" them. Chinese people interviewed by Western news organizations defended the social credit system, claiming that it will produce more responsible people and a better society. Thisis perhaps unsurprising, as China does not have the individualist culture America does. But then, the Chinese know that their social credit score may well go down if they do criticize the system, so one may have to take the glowing reviews with a grain ofsalt. However, Americans should not just shrug off these oppressive initiatives as something that could only happen in China. For one thing, a significant amount of the surveillancetechnology used by China's Communist government was developed and provided by American companies. These are names we know and recognize, including Seagate, Intel and HP Inc., among others. If the technology can be used there, it can be used here for the same purposes. That should concern us, especially given other trends we are seeing here in the United States. The COVID-19 pandemic seems to have brought out the statist authoritarianismin many of our government officials � and much of the citizenry. Every day, we see more calls for social compliance on pain of sanctions. Information about the efficacy of COVID vaccines and the need for masks are two good examples of why this trend is so dangerous. We cannot seem to get solid, verifiableinformation on either. Just this week, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shifted gears yet again on the need for vaccinated individuals to wear masks and the need for K-12 children to wear masks in schools. Just two weeks ago, we were assuredthat masks were not necessary because the vaccines are effective. Now, we are being told that the vaccines are effective, but that masks are necessary anyway. But we are not being shown the data that allegedly supports the ever-changing "consensus." Dr. SanjayGupta stated on CNN, "this is data that has not even been published yet." And yet, despite the capriciousness of the government's official party line on all things COVID, social and broadcast media are rife with videos of public shaming of non-maskwearers, and calls to "make life hard" for those who will not (or cannot) take the vaccine, including refusing access to public places like restaurants and sports arenas and even denial of medical treatment. Public and private employers across the U.S. aremandating the vaccine, and dozens of lawsuits have been filed by Americans who have already been fired for not getting it. Just last week, the White House announced that they were calling on Facebook and other Big Tech social media companies to censor what President Joe Biden calls "misinformation"about COVID vaccines and the virus itself. But those same social media companies (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.) have already been actively censoring accurate information about COVID that Dr. Anthony Fauci, the CDC and Democrats wanted suppressed; specifically,evidence supporting the theory that the virus originated in the Wuhan Institute of Virology. And this is in addition to censoring other accurate information when it promotes conservative political ideas or casts unfavorable light on favorite Democrat politicians.Facebook and Twitter conveniently banned news stories about Biden's son Hunter and the damning information on his laptop right before the November 2020 presidential election. And there's more. Since the 2020 election � and the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol � there has been an active attempt by the Democratic Party and their lap dogs in the pressto smear all Trump supporters as "racists," "extremists," "white supremacists," "domestic terrorists" and "the insurrectionist next door." In such a climate, it is even more concerning when the FBI asks people to start reporting family members, neighbors andfriends whose beliefs or behavior are "suspicious." And Americans are doing just that.
