Beijing looks as if it is preparing for a full-scale invasion of Indian territory. This deployment occurred while Chinese ruler Xi Jinping, in the words of the Communist Party's China Daily, made a "pro-peace, pro-development, and pro-cooperation speech"to celebrate the centennial of the Party's founding. "The Chinese people have never bullied, oppressed, or subjugated the people of any other country, and we never will," Xi said on July 1. In May of last year, the People's Liberation Army moved troops south of the Line of Actual Control in Ladakh, in other words, into Indian-controlled territory. A month later,on the night of June 15, Chinese soldiers launched a surprise attack, killing 20 Indian troops. India responded by reinforcing its forces and launching a counterattack in August. China then added to its troop count, increasing the number of soldiers from 15,000 a yearago to 50,000 at this moment. Beijing has also brought advanced weapons to the area and began building bases. Ladakh is not the only Himalayan hotspot. There is a Chinese encroachment in India's Sikkim as well as incursions in neighboring Bhutan and Nepal. Beijing's campaign against India has been multifaceted. "Since June of last year, there was a China-attributed attack on the Mumbai electric grid, Chinese-linked Maoistterrorists killed another 20 Indian security forces, and we witnessed a destructive attack on an iPhone parts-manufacturing plant that looks like part of a Beijing political warfare operation to discourage the shifting of supply chains to India," Cleo Paskalof the Foundation for Defense of Democracies told Gatestone. As a result, many in India now see China in the worst possible light. As Paskal explains, "The breadth and depth of the Communist Party's aggressive unrestricted warfareagainst India leads one to think there are no barriers to Beijing's malign behavior." The Indian people are right to be concerned. China has changed the definition of "warfare," and one of its instruments is disease. If SARS-CoV-2, the pathogen causing COVID-19,did not start out as a biological weapon, Chinese Communist Party leaders turned it into one, by lying about contagiousness and pressuring other countries to take disease-ridden arrivals from China. "It's no wonder many Indians think their second wave of coronavirus was a deliberate release by China to weaken them further," Paskal notes. Beijing looks as though it is even thinking of using nuclear weapons to fight the next war. The Washington Post reported China appears to be building, in an area covering more than 700 square miles in the Gansu desert, 119 missile silos for the ten-warhead DF-41intercontinental ballistic missile. When added to 26 more silos the Chinese military is building elsewhere, China could soon be housing from these fixed locations about as much firepower as the existing U.S. nuclear arsenal. When China's missiles carried onmobile launchers and submarines are added, China's warheads could end up exceeding America's. Because Beijing already has a sufficient number of nukes to deter others — China has had for a long time sufficient weapons for a so-called "minimal deterrent"— it looksas if Chinese military planners are thinking of using nuclear weapons in an offensive capacity. China's flag officers and political leaders have in public threatened to use their arsenal in this way. In any event, Xi Jinping in his bellicose July 1 speech promised to "crack heads and spill blood" of those standing in the way of what are, in essence, his plans to taketerritory under the control of others. More significantly, he threatened to take down the existing Westphalian international system of sovereign states, established in 1648. "The Communist Party of China andthe Chinese people, with their bravery and tenacity, solemnly proclaim to the world that the Chinese people are not only good at taking down the old world, but also good at building a new one," Xi said. A new world? Throughout this century, Xi has made indirect references to tianxia, or "all under Heaven." For two millennia, Chinese emperors believed they both had the Mandateof Heaven to rule tianxia and the obligation to do so. Lately, Xi's references in public pronouncements have become unmistakable, and his subordinates have been clear that Xi believes that everyone outside China owes him obedience. Xi, while spouting tianxia-like language and bellicose words, has been getting the Chinese people ready for war. On July 1, he talked about foreigners meeting a "wall ofsteel built with the flesh and blood of 1.4 billion Chinese people." Moreover, he is making preparations to use his shiny new military. Amendments to China's National Defense Law, effective the first of this year, transfer powers from civilianto military officials. The amendments reduce the role of the central government's State Council and transfer powers to the Communist Party's Central Military Commission. Specifically, the StateCouncil will no longer supervise the mobilization of the People's Liberation Army. At most, the central government will merely implement Party directives. It is true that the law could be mere posturing — the Communist Party has always been in control — but the signaling is ominous nonetheless. The new law, after all, contemplatesthe mass mobilization of society for war. The changes signal the growing clout of the People's Army inside the Party and highlight the militarization of the country's external relations. China is fast becoming amilitary state. Xi Jinping on July 1 told the world what he is going to do. Many of the assaults they talk about involve cyberspace invasions and the like. But increasingly, the talk is of direct military action�invasion of our nation from the north and the south. Russia, they say, will invade from the north, I suppose in concert with the cooperation of the Canadian government. China, they fear, already has troops in large numbersready to cross the U.S. southern border. Mexico, I suppose, along with countries farther south, is in collusion in some way with this planned invasion. The enemies most mentioned are Russia and China. We might expect direct military action by as early as the fall, according to the direst warnings the podcasters are predicting. Daily the bloggers talk of the burgeoning military capacity of both of these enemies that voraciously look at the grand prize�the United States of America. Their submarineforces�according to the bloggers�are simply without peer and surround our nation, poised to launch missiles that are hypersonic�whatever that means in terms of diverging in effectiveness from missiles that are already capable of speeds that can�t be defendedagainst. It�s as if American military forces have shrunk to the extent that they make these diabolist aggressors impervious to any fear of being themselves destroyed�like they fearedduring the Cold War era of MAD (mutually assured destruction). From my reading of prophecy yet future I can say with assurance that war on the scale that would result from such an attack won�t eventuate as these folks forecast. Bothof these aggressor-nations are prophetically scheduled to instigate such war, but not at this time�unless the Rapture is immediately upon us in that twinkling-of-an-eye moment we all, as believers, long to take place. Both aggressor nations are destined to be totally decimated when they do instigate such warfare. That said, there are preparations for war on an unfathomable scale beingplanned by Satan and his minions, both demonic and human, that will make all other wars of history seem mere skirmishes. Again, we have God�s Holy Word on this eventuation. Nuclear�and even more horrific instrumentalities of war-making�are in development. And the preparations for unleashing such instrumentalities are in the scientific/technologicalincubators of a growing number of nations as they make plans for war that God�s prophetic Word foretells is on the way. An article of interest frames those developments: A Pentagon report secretly published in 2020 and first disclosed this week, raises the potential for some form of armed conflict between nuclear-armed powers. The Pentagon�s �Joint Nuclear Options� report, dated April 17, 2020, was released through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request submitted by the Federation of AmericanScientists. The report states, �Despite concerted US efforts to reduce the role of nuclear weapons in international affairs and to negotiate reductions in the number of nuclear weapons,since 2010 no potential adversary has reduced either the role of nuclear weapons in its national security strategy or the number of nuclear weapons it fields.� �Rather, they have moved decidedly in the opposite direction,� the report continues. �As a result, there is an increased potential for regional conflicts involving nuclear-armedadversaries in several parts of the world and the potential for adversary nuclear escalation in crisis or conflict.�� The report notes Russia is modernizing Soviet-era nuclear systems and developing and employing new nuclear warheads and launchers, three new intercontinental-range nuclearweapon systems; a hypersonic glide vehicle; a nuclear-armed, nuclear-powered ground-launched cruise missile; and a nuclear-armed, nuclear-powered, undersea autonomous torpedo.� On China, the report states, �China continues to increase the number, capabilities, and protection of its nuclear forces. China has developed a new road-mobile, strategic,intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM); a new multi-warhead version of its DF-5 silo-based ICBM; and its most advanced ballistic missile submarine armed with new submarine-launched ballistic missiles (SLBMs). It has also announced development of a new nuclear-capablestrategic bomber, giving China a nuclear triad.� The Pentagon report states, �North Korea�s continued pursuit of nuclear weapons capabilities poses the most immediate and dire proliferation threat to international securityand stability.�� �Iran�s development of increasingly long-range ballistic missile capabilities, and its aggressive strategy and activities to destabilize neighboring governments, raisesquestions about its long-term commitment to forgoing nuclear weapons capability,� the Pentagon report adds. It is obvious that the buildup of weapons of war�ultimate weapons in terms ofdestructive capacity�is taking place at a pace worthy of the alarmism the podcasters are forewarning. It�s just that their perspective isn�t biblical with their forecasts. Some are partially from the right perspective, that of Bible prophecy. But the forecastersfail to take into account that the Restrainer of evil is still present in this soon-to-be-judged world of corruption and rebellion. God the Holy Spirit is still resident with in each believer�the collective of which is the Church�the Body of Jesus Christ. The most horrific war-making of human history is yet future, and It can�t take place until the Church is removed in the Rapture, and God again begins dealing with the nationIsrael and all of humanity in judgment and wrath�a time out of which Israel will emerge, in remnant form, to become the head nation of the world, from which King Jesus will rule and reign. Russia, if it attacked America from the north, would be completely destroyed. China, if attacking from the south, would be completely destroyed. Our Pentagon generals andadmirals are not that far diminished in their fealty to duty, honor, and country that they wouldn�t respond with massive retaliation. Russia must be around, prophetically speaking, according to the prophet Ezekiel, to lead the invasion against Israel. This is where God, Himself, will completely destroythat Gog-Magog juggernaut, except for one-sixth of their forces. China must be around to cross the dried-up Euphrates, as prophesied in Revelation chapters 9 and 16. They will, after destroying one-third of the earth�s population with their nuclear weaponsand massive hordes of demonically driven military troops, be utterly smashed to bits along with all other war-making peoples on the killing field called Armageddon. The Lord Himself will bring about the destruction of both of these satanic, tyrant-led nations. All of these considerations point to one prophetic truth. War on an unfathomable scale is about to take place. This assurance from God�s own Word is encapsulated in thefollowing prophetic utterance given John the Revelator: And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereonto take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.
