Israel Watch: Jew-Hating Goes Global -

Israel Watch: Jew-Hating Goes Global - Jim Fletcher - http://www.raptureready.com/rap15.html

I usually don't get emotionally flattened by news. We all deal with bad news on a global scale, really every day. Many people out there are hurting beyond measure, while I am blessed.

Yet, tracking events relating to Israel and the Jewish people-as I have for 20 years-is not always very fun. I believe in being realistic, and realism tells me that the noose is tightening around the Jewish people and their friends.

I want to be clear: I believe good will triumph over evil. We pin all our hopes on the Word of the Lord. He says the end will come, and then He will usher in an eternity of righteousness.

In the meantime-as they say-we are moving through a period of increasing difficulty. I don't need to go into detail (we can all hear the news), but the global convulsions in terms of economies, cultural rot, natural disasters...many feel it's almost too much.

So it was that I read with great sadness the results of a survey by the Anti-Defamation League, which indicates that fully 25 percent of the world's population is anti-Semitic. Not 2.5 percent, but a quarter of the population dislikes Jews.

I was honestly shocked. And 10 percent would have been horrific. Twenty five percent is a game-changer.

According to a Religion News Service article:

"The first-ever global study of anti-Semitic attitudes shows that more than a quarter of the world's population harbors intense anti-Jewish sentiment, with region, more than religion, shaping people's view of Jews and Judaism.

"The poll, released Tuesday (May 13) by the New York-based Anti-Defamation League, also finds that a large proportion of the world has never heard of the Holocaust or denies historical accounts of it."

Astounding.

Now also comes word that Israeli Economy Minister Naftali Bennett will present a plan to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to annex "Area C," home to most of the Israeli settlement blocs...and 70,000 Palestinians. This area of Judea/Samaria is part of what the international community intends to be part of a Palestinian state.

What do you think the international community would think of Bennett's plan? You know the answer.

At a time when the American secretary of state is openly threatening Israel, and the American president barely conceals his contempt for the Netanyahu government, we can see that Israel is becoming isolated politically and culturally.

I've written before that seeing the area for myself, as I have many times, brings home the point that there is no human solution to this madness known as land-for-peace. The Palestinian population is the most anti-Semitic people group on Earth. They have many friends around the world.

What chance is there that any type of political process can cause the Israelis and the Palestinians to be able to tolerate co-existence as sovereign entities? This rotten mess comes from decades of moral weakness by political leaders, who would not commit to sane solutions for the Palestinian refugees.

Now, after 20 years of the Oslo model, Israel is more hated than ever. Jews are more hated than ever.

I look forward to the day when our personal depression will be removed permanently. I believe a literal New Heavens and New Earth will become reality.

No more hatred. No more evil.
