New alliance from hell: Boko Haram and ISIS - Michael Carl - http://www.wnd.com/2014/09/new-allliance-from-hell-boko-haram-and-isis/
African jihadists uniting with Middle East jihadist army
The Nigerian jihadist group Boko Haram, known for its kidnapping of more than 200 schoolgirls, has deepened its connection to the Middle East terror army ISIS by forming an information and materiel-support alliance, according to sources.
A Nigeria staff member for the International Foundation for Electoral Systems, a non-profit foundation promoting democratic institutions, says leaders Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi of ISIS and Abubakar Shakau of Boko Haram "have been sharing military strategy and other information back and forth."
Kristina Baum says the alliance will empower Boko Haram.
"Boko Haram is hopeful that this will give them more financial support," she said. "Before, Boko Haram has been getting their money from kidnapping, ransom and extortion from local governments."
Maha Hamdan, an analyst for Consultancy Africa Intelligence and IntelligenceCommunity.com, confirms the link-up, calling it a dangerous development.
She believes the weakness of the Nigerian army in its war against Boko Haram is "one of the major reasons for the rise of the Boko Haram and ISIS alliance."
"We are standing at the precipice of the birth of a new radical Islam," she said.
Feeding jihad
Rachel Ehrenfeld, director of the American Center for Democracy and the Economic Warfare Institute, says the alliance will feed Boko Haram's hunger for spreading its vision of Islam as it provides more funding.
"Boko Haram and ISIS share the same basic ideology, and it worked with al-Qaida. And we know that with food - in this instance, success -comes an even bigger appetite," she said.
She said jihadist groups that started out with a domestic agenda are "joining the larger jihadist agenda to impose Shariah everywhere."
"And the more violence they can inflict on the infidels, the better, as far as they're concerned," Ehrenfeld said.
Hussein Solomon, professor of political science at the University of the Free State in Bloemfontein, South Africa, and analyst for the Jerusalem-based think tank, Research on Islam and Muslims in Africa, agrees Boko Haram will benefit from the connection.
He points out the two groups have many commonalities.
Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shakau, in his most recent video, he said, "had positive things to say about ISIS, and he is very pragmatic."
"Certainly this partnership will benefit Boko Haram more," Solomon said.
Ultimate objective
Ehrenfeld affirmed that with the additional assets available from ISIS, Boko Haram is closer to its ultimate objective.
"We shouldn't forget that their goal is to replace secular governments with their own, and, therefore, they are seeking to control economic and financial resources," Ehrenfeld said.
Baum, who has also worked as an energy journalist in Nigeria and done missionary work there, says Boko Haram has been aligned with al-Qaida. She believes the alliance with ISIS will strengthen Boko Haram's resolve.
"As they're heating up and moving forward, their operations have been getting closer to ISIS. Everything they've done and released indicates that growing connection," Baum said.
Boko Haram has made progress in its northern campaign, controlling most of Borno state, the city of Gwoza and also much of Adamawa state. Intelligence analysts say Boko Haram's territorial gains, along with the new alliance with ISIS, may inspire them to move into the southern half of the country.
Baum said advances in the south could result in a major disruption in the world's crude oil supply, because Nigeria is Africa's largest energy producer.
"If this conflict continues to disrupt Nigeria, we're looking at some major U.S. assets that are going to see an impact. Exxon-Mobil and Chevron have vested interests there. Exxon-Mobil has speed drills and is building a $497 million facility there along the coast," she said.
Baum said Boko Haram's influence also is growing through its increasingly sophisticated video production.
"Boko Haram is releasing longer, more frequent video statements outlining their agenda and objectives. It wouldn't be a surprise to see them develop a more aggressive and polished public relations strategy," she said.
"Because they've beheaded people and even recorded some of their executions, they have the potential to intimidate more and more people."
Baum said if the alliance produces a more aggressive Boko Haram, Christians in the north will have to leave.
"There is no way around them having to flee as the country moves deeper into a civil war. There's the Christian south and the Islamic north. They have no choice but to leave," Baum said.
WND reported in August that Christians in Nigeria's north are being advised to fight back because of their government's inability to defend them.
Ehrenfeld said that "unless the non-Muslims in Africa fight the jihadists, they'll become refugees, enslaved or killed."
However, Baum said she doesn't believe the Christians have the equipment or the skills to fight back.
"I don't see them being armed and equipped enough to fight back. I don't think they have the capability even though there have been conflicting reports. Overall, much of the Nigerian military has been fleeing in the face of Boko Haram aggression," Baum said.
She said reports she has received from the State Department indicate the U.S. likely won't offer further support to the Nigerian government.
Rep. Steve Stockman, R-Texas, said he is still baffled at the administration's refusal to offer military intelligence to Nigeria to help its army combat Boko Haram.
"We continually hear about how there's a lack of intelligence. Yet, we have some of the best satellite intelligence in the world," the congressman said.
ISIS' Apocalyptic Magazine Vows to Attack Israel, US Troops as It Conquers Persia, Rome and Arab States - Michael Grybroski - http://www.christianpost.com/news/isis-apocalyptic-magazine-vows-to-attack-israel-us-troops-as-it-conquers-persia-rome-and-arab-states-126543/
The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria is vowing to attack Israel over its most-recent conflict with Hamas, and to fight against U.S. troops and the anti-Christ as it conquers Persia and Rome.
"As for the massacres taking place in Gaza against the Muslim men, women and children, the Islamic State will do everything within its means to continue striking down every apostate who stands as an obstacle on its path toward Palestine," reads an entry in the publication Dabiq, which has been distributed in numerous languages, including English.
"[The Islamic State's] actions speak louder than its words and it is only a matter of time and patience before it reaches Palestine to fight the barbaric Jews and kill those of them hiding behind the gharqad trees - the trees of the Jews," the terror group threatens in Dabiq.
The magazine was named for a town believed to be where Muslims and Westerners will clash before the apocalypse, with the second issue focused on the story of Noah's flood.
It also includes photos and reports about actions being taken against Kurdish fighters in Northern Iraq, with its final page promising future conquests by ISIS.
"You will invade the Arabian Peninsula and Allah will enable you to conquer it. You will then invade Persia, and Allah will enable you to conquer it," read the back cover.
"You will then invade Rome and Allah will enable you to conquer it. Then you will fight the Dajjal [Anti-Christ], and Allah will enable you to conquer him."
An offshoot of al-Qaeda, ISIS has garnered international attention for its military victories and extreme violence against civilians and religious minorities.
The extremist Islamic organization holds territory in both war-torn Syria and Iraq, with substantial funds being generated from oil sold on the black market and private donations.
Many have noted that ISIS has used social media and the Internet to reach out to young Muslims, both in the Middle East and Western countries.
Josh Kovensky of the New Republic wrote that ISIS might have already replaced al-Qaida "as the go-to organization for young jihadists."
"ISIS's tactics span all media, with devoted Twitter accounts and YouTube channels, including ones that showed the horrifying - and slickly shot - execution of photojournalist James Foley," wrote Kovensky. "... much of Dabiq's content focuses on a coming apocalypse, while pulling out the same glossy stops that one would expect from an American magazine."
In addition to the written publication, ISIS also released a video Tuesday warning the U.S. of future attacks against U.S. forces due to President Barack Obama's promise to "degrade and destroy" the terror group.
"The 52-second clip - the latest in a long line of well-produced propaganda videos - features slow-motion explosions and clips of attacks previously carried out against U.S. forces," noted NBC News.
"Images of Obama and then the White House at dark flicker and flames appear to engulf U.S. troops. 'Flames of War: Fighting Has Just Begun' flashes on the screen, before it ends with the words 'Coming Soon.'"

Allen West Describes Explosive Scenario Showing How ISIS Could Invade Israel
Consider this scenario for the Jewish State of Israel: Hamas renews its assault against Israel from the south after rearming and restocking its rocket and missile arsenal. Hezbollah decides the time is right to begin an assault from the north with more rockets and missiles. A situation arises where Israel finds its stockpile of Iron Dome weapons is running low and cannot cover a two -front aerial assault - some of the rockets and missiles find landfall. From Syria, Jabhat al-Nusra has decided to swear allegiance to ISIS and begins a ground assault against Israel from Syria. And in Jordan, where ISIS has been successful, they set their sights on crossing the Jordan River into Judea-Samaria and begin attacking Israeli communities - aided by the Palestinian group Fatah. Riots and unrest begins in East Jerusalem and a general state of emergency is instituted. Sophisticated surface-to-air missiles begin showing up in the region from Libya supplied by Ansar al-Sharia. Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion Airport is shut down.
I've been describing situations that lead up to this type of scenario here at LibertyNews.com for the past year. Specifically, that Obama's CIA and State Department have been toppling dictators that we paid off to leave Israel alone, and replacing them with worse people who facilitate an environment where ISIS can boil and share the idea that Israel should be destroyed. But seeing a specific and logical scenario laid out like this brings it into a whole new kind of light. And it isn't pretty...

Israel tells US it will act if IS reaches Jordan
The report did not specify what actions Israel might take if Islamic State started impacting upon Jordan, but Israel is wary of its eastern neighbor being challenged by the brutal terror group, and would seek to guard against further inroads that would directly threaten Israel...According to unnamed sources within Shin Bet, up to 10 Israeli-Arabs have joined the Islamic State and the rebel group's flag has been sighted in various places throughout the Jewish state...

Experts Say Jordan in Danger - and Israel's Next in Line
Countries in the Middle East are currently in states of internal and external war, pressing the State of Israel to prepare for waves of immigrants from Arab countries to Israeli territory, which may endanger her existence...The worst case scenario being the movement of ISIS into Jordan, and subsequently creating a pure "Islamic State" within the country...The Jordan of 2014 presents a new ethnic mosaic, and the national dynamic has completely changed. It should be remembered that some of the refugees are intruders from extremist groups, such as ISIS...ISIS could take over large parts of the country thereby joining Jordan to their Sunni caliphate, and create a real danger to Israel...

Hezbollah could advance into Israel in next war, official warns
Military source says terror group could seize parts of Galilee, including Israeli towns...Should there be a flare-up on the northern front, the Israeli public must be prepared for an extended campaign, "If Gaza took 50 days, it's possible the war will last four months"..."It's important to convey the message to the world: Since Hezbollah is located within a civilian population, in villages, there will be immense damage to Lebanon...The report said Hezbollah has an estimated 100,000 rockets - 10 times as many as were in the Hamas arsenal - and that its 5,000 long-range missiles, located in Beirut and other areas deep inside Lebanon, are capable of carrying large warheads (of up to 1 ton and more), with precision guidance systems, covering all of Israel. Israel's Iron Dome rocket defense system would not be able to cope with that kind of challenge, and thus the IDF would have to "maneuver fast" and act forcefully to prevail decisively in the conflict...

ISIS Planting Sleeper Cells Along Syria-Israel Border
New information about ISIS activity concerning Israel was revealed on Sunday. According to a report in the Times of Israel, the terror group has been secretly operating sleeper cells in southern Syria in close proximity to the border with Israel. Approximately 6,000 ISIS rebel fighters have made their way southward toward Jordan and Israel...Two villages in which ISIS recruiters are especially active is Hayt and Sahem Al-Jawlan, located near the Syrian-Jordanian border. "They were sent by the Islamic State to control the largest portion of land possible"..."ISIS has been secretly working to established 'sleeper cells in the south, which are hidden,' to be used when the moment is deemed right to attack Israel."

...From these six recent articles we can clearly see the formation of the Psalm 83 War and ISIS activity on four different fronts surrounding Israel. The present threat to Israel continues to escalate into a situation where Israel will likely be attacked from multiple sides - YES THE PSALM 83 CONFEDERACY (ISIS) IS SURROUNDING ISRAEL. The IDF will act decisively and with the full force of its military power to defend its borders, the results will be as prophesied in Psalms 83, Jeremiah 49, Isaiah 17 & 19, Ezekiel 35, Zephaniah 2:4-15, Zechariah 12:1-9 and Israel will expand her borders to closely align with the Abrahamic Covenant borders God promised Israel - See New Israel Borders...After a period of time, living in peace and security, it then likely becomes the impetus for Ezekiel 38 & 39...We are at the door-step of the fulfillment of these very significant prophetic events! - Prophecy being fulfilled in real time before our eyes!!
Islamic State secretly near Israel border, Syrian rebel group says - By Elhanan Miller - http://www.timesofisrael.com/islamic-state-secretly-near-israel-border-syrian-rebel-group-claims/
Free Syrian Army spokesperson says brutal jihadi group quietly making inroads in villages near Golan by offering aid in exchange for services to be named later
The Islamic State terror group is operating sleeper cells in southern Syria near the border with Israel, a spokesman for the opposition's Free Syrian Army charged Sunday.
The spokesman, speaking to The Times of Israel on condition of anonymity, as he was not authorized to communicate with Israeli media, said that some of the 6,000 Islamist fighters who fled southward toward the borders with Israel and Jordan in July actually belong to the Islamic State, not to the less extreme Nusra Front as previously believed.
The two Islamist organizations had clashed militarily in a struggle for control over oil-rich northeastern Syria, in which the Islamic State triumphed. The Times of Israel could not confirm the information, which was recently conveyed to the spokesman from a number of different sources.
While both are opposed to the rule of Syrian President Bashar Assad, the Free Syrian Army, a moderate rebel group, and Islamic State have fought a number of fierce battles in Syria.
"There are sleeper cells in the south, which are hidden. They don't do anything [military] at all," the spokesman said of IS. "Many people [in the moderate Syrian opposition] are following them and will strike at them before they organize."
According to the intelligence agency of the Free Syrian Army, Islamic State activists would approach individuals in the area, offering them basic food staples or financial aid.
"They say: 'Stay at home, no one will know about you. The moment we need you, we'll call.'" The spokesman said that many locals refused the IS overtures, but that could change given the region's grave poverty.
Prices have skyrocketed recently, he added, with a liter of diesel fuel costing $15, for example.
Two villages where IS representatives made such proposals are Hayt and Sahem Al-Jawlan, near the Syrian-Jordanian border, the spokesman said.
"They were sent by the Islamic State to control the largest portion of land possible," he said. "We are against them wholeheartedly. They have nothing to do with Islam, which they merely use as a cover."
Eyal Zisser, an expert on Syria at Tel Aviv University, said he was unaware of the IS presence in southern Syria, but was not surprised by the new information.
"The Islamic State is trying to establish itself all across Syria," he told The Times of Israel. "The organization is going through a process of transformation. Other groups [in Syria] are trying to associate themselves with it and pledge allegiance to it. Some do so out of fear of IS, while others hope to benefit from it in the future."
Zisser doubted, however, that the extremist group currently had a military presence in the south.
Focused against Assad
The FSA spokesman said relations between his group and al-Nusra Front, the al-Qaeda affiliate vanquished by IS in northern Syria, were "tense" and could erupt in armed confrontation at any moment. For the time being, however, the field commanders of the Free Syrian Army have decided to focus their limited military capabilities on the Assad regime, he said.
Al-Nusra Front is still holding Sharif as-Safouri, the commander of the FSA's Al-Haramein Battalion kidnapped in July, who has confessed on video to military collaboration with Israel. Another FSA commander, Colonel Ahmad Al-Ni'meh, has been held captive by Al-Nusra Front since early May.
The Free Syrian Army currently controls the entire border between Israel and Syria, including the Quneitra border crossing, wrested from the Assad regime by opposition forces including the Al-Qaeda-affiliated Al-Nusra Front in late August, the spokesman said.
The Assad regime still controls areas further inland, between Quneitra and Daraa, including Tel Al-Hara and As-Sanamayn. Further east, the regime controls the 52nd Brigade in Daraa and two military airports in the area.
A new military corps is being formed in southern Syria by the Free Syrian Army to incorporate some 40 fighting units in the Daraa region, and will be known as "Failaq (Corps) 1." The battalions that will form the core of the new unit are Karamah, Special Operations, Ahl As-Sunna and Al-Haramein.
The spokesman said that the Free Syrian Army was conducting daily negotiations with Western donor states in a bid to arm the new unit, which will be headed by Colonal Ziad Al-Hariri, commander of the Karamah Battalion.
