Election's Prophetic Implication -

Election's Prophetic Implication - Todd Strandberg - http://www.raptureready.com/rap16.html

No matter which way we look to observe what is going on we see the imprint of Bible prophecy in the making. That is, we see the stage for fulfillment being set.

Because we are obviously in prophetic times, every political action should be looked at for what it might mean. The American political process has never been more front and center in producing possible ramifications than it is at present. Particularly, I'm referring to the mid-term election that took place Tuesday, November 4.

The Obama Administration has been, up to this point, an almost unchallenged juggernaut in getting its way. Whether considering the social issues like gay marriage, abortion, and the so-called human rights issues (like the U.S. attorney general's ignoring the Constitution to implement illegal actions on a highly racial basis). Or the threatened or actual executive actions that go against the will of the American people-such as in the case of illegal aliens being let into the country in droves-this president has done anything he wants without push-back.

While he seems to have no backbone to resist the evil in the world in the area of geopolitics, he has no trouble being hard-nosed in dealing with the nation of Israel. This was true from the very first encounter Obama had with Benjamin Netanyahu upon his election. He treated the Israeli prime minister with great disrespect, leaving Bibi sitting alone during a scheduled, official meeting, telling Netanyahu he had dinner waiting with the family and abruptly leaving the room.

Things haven't improved noticeably. John Kerry, the president's secretary of state, just this past week was at first reported to have called the Israeli prime minister a "chicken****" for the way the U.S. administration perceives Netanyahu as dealing in a cowardly fashion with his enemy neighbors.

The White House denied the allegation, but Kerry apologized. Like so many things with this administration, however, the comment achieved its intended insulting effect, and the apology was too little, too late-and mostly buried below the fold of the sycophantic, mainstream newspapers.

America's dealing with God's chosen nation is the most troubling aspect of all of the ungodly actions this government has consistently undertaken in the last six years. I'm wondering: Will the overwhelming election against this administration, and that is what it was, going to make any difference in the direction America takes?

Of course, we must have no delusion that the American people have suddenly become a moral people again as the founding fathers said we must be to invoke the blessings of the Almighty. We voted mostly our pocket books-economic issues-the exit polls and other polls indicate. But there is just the slightest glimmer that at least a portion of our electorate might have awakened to the desperate state which we are in, as a nation.

In the case of America's dealing with Israel, there could not be a more essential awakening. Our very national life could well hinge on how we handle things from here on out with this one nation God has termed, "the apple of His eye."

America, under the present secretary of state, continues to lead the way in pressuring Israel to give in to the "peace" process. As we've seen, when Kerry, and Obama-don't get their way, they resort to handling things the same way their political party handles things. They attempt to personally destroy, through character assassination and other unsavory means.

The administration is presently said to be in negotiations with the Iranians, seeking ways to allow their nuclear program to go forward, while supposedly securing guarantees it is all for peace. The Israeli prime minister sees through their deadly negotiations and will have none of it. Therefore, he is a "chicken****" in Kerry's not so sophisticated, undiplomatic vernacular.

This administration must be stopped from what it's doing to our nation. By that, I mean, the new majority in both houses of government must become the adults in this thug-like, international playground. It seems we might have been given a small bit of chance to begin moving in the right direction.

That direction is God's direction. We should pray that the new leadership will take the hint. We must pray that the Lord of heaven will give wisdom to those who lead us, and to those of us who name the Name of Jesus, while we move ever deeper into these prophetic times.
