Executive Action on Illegal Immigrants
While abroad Air Force One, President Obama signed two executive actions that would delay deportation for millions of illegal immigrants. Several hundred protestors lined streets holding "No Amnesty" and "Impeach Obama" signs while others chanted "worst president ever," as he drove by.Read More > | | | |

| Illegal Immigrants to Get Drivers Licenses
A new California state law allows for previously ineligible drivers who were illegal immigrants to acquire drivers licenses if they prove they are living in California. DMV officials say the new law, which takes effect Jan. 2, will bring in approximately 1.4 Million new applications during the first three years. California driver's licenses issued starting in January will have the phrase "federal limits apply" clearly marked on the front because they are not Real ID compliant.

| Paul Calls for Declaration of War
U.S. Senator Rand Paul, a possible Republican candidate for president in 2016, is calling for a formal declaration of war against Islamic State militants. Something that Congress has not done since World War Two. Some members of Congress have said President Barack Obama is waging war against the Islamist militant group without proper congressional oversight. The administration has said Obama has the legal authority to conduct the current fight against Islamic State.

| Cameron Faces New Calls to Leave EU
Up to half a dozen members of the cabinet believe Britain should leave the EU if David Cameron fails to deliver a major reform of Britain's membership terms. Tory sources indicated a growing number of ministers are prepared to speak out. Owen Paterson, the former environment secretary, said the prime minister should invoke article 50 of the Lisbon treaty which would trigger two years of negotiations on a British exit.

| Can Pope Francis Heal Divisions?
In an op-ed in the Boston Globe online, the activities of Pope Francis are summarized showing that he has reached beyond mainline Protestant churches. Frances has been busy meeting with evangelical leaders in the United States. Francis has been speaking of the miracle of unity that has begun, and pointing out that Christians that are divided by denominations should be in relationship, living in the tension and not trying to resolve disagreements.

| Iran Nuclear Talks Extended
Efforts to reach an accord with Iran to dismantle large parts of its nuclear infrastructure have fallen short, forcing the United States and its allies to declare a seven-month extension. U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said that a series of "new ideas surfaced" in the last days of talks. American officials said they remained hopeful a deal could still be worked out, but they worried that Iran's negotiating team, and Iran's president did not seem to have the latitude to make the kind of political decisions necessary.
