WORLD AT WAR: 11.13.15 - The Stage Is Set for a War Unlike Any War in History

The Stage Is Set for a War Unlike Any War in History - By Geri Ungurean - http://www.raptureready.com/soap2/ungurean71.html

All the actors have taken their places. Satan feels victorious. Does he actually think that he will prevail over God's perfect plan for the world and His people Israel?  Perhaps he thinks it, but that does not mean it will happen.

Just like in heaven, before Lucifer was cast out, along with 1/3 of the angels who followed him; his pride and arrogance continues to drive him to change history. History is in the hand of God - He knows it from its beginning to its end. God owns history.  He knows every detail. God uses what Satan means for evil, and takes it and makes it useful to further His prophetic Word.

"As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive" (Genesis 50:20).

Does Satan not realize that no matter what he does, God is ultimately in control? I don't know the answer to that, but I do know that Satan knows the Word of God better than you or I know it. So he must see that it's futile to think that he will conquer God and Israel. Satan is the rebel of rebels.  He knows no other way to act. His quest for power over the universe will not allow him to acquiesce. He is steadfast in his lust to be "like God."

Satan is watching as all of the major nations now stand against Israel. Canada was the last major nation on earth to be supportive of Israel.  But now that is gone. Canada has voted in a man who not only hates Israel, but he has become a Muslim.  Whether or not that election was rigged, only God knows.

Now, the Arabic world has proclaimed that the holiest sites to the Israelis are in actuality - Islamic sites!   The Arabic nations are emboldened by the United Nations rabid hatred for Israel.

PM Netanyahu made an accurate statement about the Grand Mufti and his relationship with Hitler during WWII. Bibi said that Hitler's intention was to expel The Jews from Germany. But the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem told him that the Jews would then come there. Hitler asked him what then should be done. The response from the Grand Mufti was "Burn them."

BHO scolded Netanyahu for these words. He doesn't want truth to be told.

So, what is the war of which I speak? I believe that it's the war spoken of in Psalm 83. That Psalm even speaks of the Palestinians, calling them by their true name "The Philistines."

For those who are not familiar with Psalm 83, here it is:

"Do not be silent and, O God, do not be still.
For behold, Your enemies make an uproar,
And those who hate You have exalted themselves.
They make shrewd plans against Your people,
And conspire together against Your treasured ones.
They have said, "Come, and let us wipe them out as a nation,
That the name of Israel be remembered no more."
 For they have conspired together with one mind;
Against You they make a covenant:
The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites,
Moab and the Hagrites;
 Gebal and Ammon and Amalek,
Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;
Assyria also has joined with them;
They have become a help to the children of Lot. Selah.
Deal with them as with Midian,
As with Sisera and Jabin at the torrent of Kishon,
Who were destroyed at En-dor,
Who became as dung for the ground.
Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb
And all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,
Who said, "Let us possess for ourselves
The pastures of God."
O my God, make them like the whirling dust,
 Like chaff before the wind.
Like fire that burns the forest
And like a flame that sets the mountains on fire,
So pursue them with Your tempest
And terrify them with Your storm.
 Fill their faces with dishonor,
That they may seek Your name, O Lord.
Let them be ashamed and dismayed forever,
And let them be humiliated and perish,
That they may know that You alone, whose name is the Lord,
Are the Most High over all the earth" (Psalm 83) (Emphasis mine)

Some believe that Psalm 83 is not a war, but an imprecatory prayer to God to destroy the enemies of Israel. They believe that this will ultimately lead up to the Ezekiel 38 & 39 war.  This very well may be true. Soon, the world will see. As I said - we are at the doorstep of one of the most amazing displays of the power of our God.

Brethren, I believe that we are so very close to this war.  The whole world will be astounded.  I pray that many will see the power and majesty and love that God Almighty has for His people Israel. I pray that the eyes of many people will be opened and that they will want to know this mighty God who saves Israel. I pray that many will be saved!

Israel raises Hezbollah rocket estimate to 150,000 - By Avi Issacharoff - http://www.timesofisrael.com/israel-raises-hezbollah-rocket-estimate-to-150000/

New assessments suggest the Lebanese terror group is ramping up efforts to acquire weapons

Israeli officials believe that the Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah has amassed around 150,000 rockets, including a number of long range Iranian-made missiles capable of striking Israeli cities from north to south.

The estimates represent a 50 percent increase in the group's weapons stockpiles since May, when a senior Israeli intelligence official put the number at 100,000.

The revised valuation on rockets suggests Hezbollah is ramping up efforts to acquire weapons whose purpose is to attack Israel, despite its deep involvement in the Syrian civil war.

Hezbollah forces have been operating in Syrian territory for over three and a half years. Thousands of the organization's fighters are thought to be on Syrian soil and hundreds, some say thousands, have been killed there, including at least one senior officer.

The organization has simultaneously continued to amass short- and medium-range rockets from Syria while also increasing its cache of Iranian-made long-range missiles.

Hezbollah has also established a fleet of unmanned combat drones, designed for more than simple intelligence gathering.

The group is continuing its efforts to acquire SA-17 and SA-22 ground-to-air missiles as well as P-800 Oniks air-to-sea missiles. In light of the events in Syria and and the ongoing civil war, as well as the Israeli attacks on weapons convoys en route to Hezbollah, the organization has upped its efforts to bring in more Iranian weapons.

The group fought a three-week war with Israel in 2006 that saw thousands of rockets pound Israel's north. Israeli officials say they consider the transfer of advanced weapons to the group to be a red line; a number of airstrikes in Syria have been attributed to Israeli efforts to stymie the movement of missiles.

On Wednesday, websites affiliated with the Syrian opposition reported an Israeli strike near Damascus airport.

Witnesses described huge explosions, and blasts could be heard for several minutes. According to number of unconfirmed reports, the target of the strikes was an Iranian arms shipment destined for Hezbollah. Less than two weeks ago, Syrian media reported that Israel Air Force jets attacked military bases of both the Assad regime and Hezbollah in the Qalamoun Mountains region near the border with Lebanon.

Despite the assessment of increased weapons stockpiles, the prevailing view in Israel is that Hezbollah is not interested in a confrontation or a war now.

On Wednesday, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah said that his organization was "proud that the little Satan and the great Satan devoted their meeting in the White House to the issue of Hezbollah," referring to discussions between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Barack Obama.

"Hezbollah is at the forefront and in a real position of influence over the region," he said.

Russia Ready To Use Nuclear Weapons: Pentagon's Top Russia Expert - By Polina Tikhonova - http://www.valuewalk.com/2015/11/russia-ready-to-use-nuclear-weapons-2/

With Russian President Vladimir Putin ordering his security council to develop defensive nuclear equipment, the Pentagon says Moscow is poised to use nuclear weapons to "bring a speedy peace."

Evelyn Farkas, who quit the position of Pentagon's top policy expert on Russia just hours ago, urged the Obama administration to consider sending lethal weapons to Ukraine, deploying permanent contingent of ground troops in Eastern Europe, making the European Reassurance Initiative permanent, and supplying more military equipment to countries neighboring with Russia.

Farkas' comments come amid news that NATO will station some 4,000 combat troops in countries bordering Russia. Both American and Russia experts say the move has a high chance to escalate the risk of a war in Europe and a military confrontation between the world's two largest nuclear powers: the U.S. and Russia.

A war involving NATO, the U.S. and Russia "would probably spell, if not the end of humanity, the end of any possibility of a comfortable future for humanity," as reported by ValueWalk, citing Press TV's interview with Don DeBar, U.S. political analyst.

Russia is much more reckless with nuclear weapons than Soviet Union

"We have to continue reassuring, but we have to do one better, we actually have to deter," Farkas told reporters at a Defense Writers' Group breakfast today, as reported by Breaking Defense.

Farkas dismisses claims that say we are back in the Cold War, because first of all, Russia is not the Soviet Union, the Russian economy is not strong enough and the Russians are "brittle politically," Farkas said. However, she added that it "doesn't mean they're not a danger."

Compared to the Soviet Union, modern Russia is smaller in its size but it's much more sophisticated technologically and militarily. "They are our peers when it comes to cyber," Farkas said. She added that today's Russia is also much more reckless and dangerous than Leonid Brezhnev's Politburo when it comes to "nuclear saber-rattling."

In the Cold War era, both Russia and the U.S. had a "healthy" respect for the horrific and destructive power of nuclear weapons, and viewed them as means of the last resort. But Putin's Russian military follows a paradoxical doctrine of "escalate to deescalate," which means Moscow would easily use nuclear weapons to "bring a speedy peace." A mere thought about it is "highly alarming," according to the Pentagon's top expert on Russia.

Russia is the only country in the world with the nuclear capability to destroy the U.S., according to Army Chief of Staff General Mark Milley, as reported by ValueWalk on Tuesday.

The General also views Russia as "aggressive" and "adversarial to the interests of the United States," which is why Moscow's nuclear weapons are capable of destroying the U.S.

Milley warned that Russian President Vladimir Putin's recent behavior suggests Moscow would be willing to use nuclear weapons. The General also noted that Russia has been violating "the Westphalian order" ever since it started invading "sovereign nations" in 2008.

Putin broke NATO-Russia agreement

The reason Farkas quit the Pentagon was "personal reasons," which is understandable for someone who has spent three intense years working in an administration that becomes weaker day by day.

Farkas recently went beyond the current party line by proposing a policy on Russia that is much more rough than what the Obama administration publicly endorses. Over the three years working with the Obama administration, Farkas has grown frustrated over a number of things.

"Here I'll go out on a limb beyond what [the] administration would say: The NATO-Russia framework agreement is broken. The Russians broke it," she said. The NATO-Russia agreement, signed in 1997, obliged all parties to respect the "sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity" of European states, such as Georgia and Ukraine.

Russia has broken the agreement two times over the past 7 years: first in Georgia in 2008 and then in Ukraine in 2014 by annexing Crimea and sending its troops in eastern Ukraine.

"Russia's broken it but somehow we are and our allies have decided that we're going to keep up with the letter of it even, although maybe not the spirit," she said.

Under the NATO-Russia agreement, the Alliance foreswore "additional permanent stationing of substantial combat forces." Farkas said US European Command has to consider the possibility of U.S. forces stationed permanently in eastern allies like Poland and the Baltic states of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

U.S. has to encircle Russia to reassure Europe

But Farkas noted that it's not only European allies Washington has to reassure to prevent Russia's aggression. Former nations of the Soviet empire require U.S. military assistance against Putin's increasing pressure, too, according to the Pentagon expert.

"I was very excited to see this past week Secretary [of State] Kerry go through Central Asia," Farkas said. "We need more high-level attention being paid to the countries that feel directly threatened by Russia.... not just Ukraine but Moldova, Georgia, Azerbaijan... The countries around the periphery of Russia, they need our political attention. They also need our economic assistance and they need our military assistance [to] deter Russia."

The Kremlin has repeatedly warned the U.S. against encircling the country by stationing its troops all around Russia's periphery.

Farkas also commented on the Pentagon's investments to counter Russian capability. "I want to actually commend Deputy Secretary [Robert] Work because he really took on the challenge of how do we better deter Russia, very seriously and I would say aggressively," she said and added that Work does his best to direct funding to deterring Russia in FY16 and FY17.

Iran's Russian missiles 'intensify arms race' - Justin Bronk - http://www.aljazeera.com/indepth/features/2015/11/analysis-iran-russian-missiles-intensify-arms-race-151109184521840.html

Range and advance tracking of S-300 system allows Iran to threaten aircraft long way from its borders.

Saudi Arabia's costly war against Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen continues to provide a serious and ongoing source of tension across the Gulf. Meanwhile, the Russian intervention in Syria on the side of President Bashar al-Assad supports Iranian policy in Syria and directly threatens the aims of the Gulf state monarchies.

The announcement made this Monday that a long-discussed and highly controversial deal between Russia and Iran for the supply of advanced S-300 missile and air defence systems has finally been signed, will further enrage the Saudi government in particular and inflame regional tensions.

The latest version available for export, the S-300VM, which NATO calls SA-23, is a long-range and highly capable surface-to-air missile (SAM) system which can shoot down both high-performance military aircraft as well as ballistic and cruise missiles.

Its range of 200km against high-flying aircraft targets will give Iran a weapons system capable of threatening air traffic and military jets far beyond its own borders.

Long coverage

Under most combat conditions the S-300 is very dangerous for modern combat aircraft that do not have very low observable (VLO) or stealth technology.

Russia claims that some versions of the system even have limited capabilities against stealth aircraft. However, no S-300s are known to have been fired in combat, let alone against stealth aircraft, so these claims are dubious.

A later modification of the basic S-300 line yielded Russia's S-400 which was designed especially to improve capabilities against stealth fighters, suggesting previous versions could not reliably track or destroy these.

S-300VM systems based in forward positions held by Iran, such as islands in the Gulf, could project threat coverage as far as Kuwait City and the Ali Al-Salem and Ahmad Al-Jaber airbases, Al-Minhad and Al-Dhafra, as well as the oil fields of Zakum and Shariqah and Qatar's north dome gas field.

Furthermore, air corridors used by international carriers through the Gulf could be shut by a threat from Iran should the country choose to do so during a crisis, although the international ramifications would be severe.

Operations against targets in Iran covered by S-300 systems, Gulf state or Western air forces would require extensive electronic-warfare support in terms of tracking, jamming, and suppression capabilities. Outside the United States Air Force and US Navy, such capabilities are in critically short supply.

More power required

To stand a chance of suppressing S-300 systems without serious losses, would probably require US Navy EA-18G Growlers for brute-force jamming; RC-135U Combat Sent and RC-135V/W Rivet Joint aircraft for long-range signaling of intelligence and radar location; and F-22 Raptor and B-2 Spirit stealth aircraft for direct attacks.

In addition, AWACS and Joint-STARS battle management and coordination assets would be required to coordinate such a complex strike package.

The US Air Force also possesses the essential institutional experience required for suppression of enemy air defenses (SEAD) operations, and multiple stealth assets  which would be able to either bypass S-300 batteries altogether, or at least get close enough to them - without being tracked - to destroy or suppress them, and relay targeting information for standoff attacks by other aircraft.

This mix of capabilities would be a serious stretch for the US Air Force to deploy at short notice and impossible for any smaller air forces without US support.

However, even for the US, an operation like this would take months to organise and mount. The likely 'first response' from US Navy carrier battlegroups in the Gulf would be potentially vulnerable to an S-300 threat as the F-18 and EA-18 Growler are not stealth, although the Growler is a potent jammer platform.

Shift in dynamics

While S-300 systems cannot attack ground targets and so are predominantly defensive in nature, the Middle East's fragile politics and the fact that Iran acquiring these systems will cause a significant change in military power dynamics, make them a potent source for future instability.

The US, UK and their Gulf allies would need to carefully weigh the risks of removing the threat entirely, or else learn to live with a strengthened Iranian hand across the Gulf.

US responses if and when deliveries commence might include increasing deployments of the US Air Force's scarce F-22 Raptor stealth fighters to the region, and potentially to conduct 'training sorties' for B-2 Spirit stealth nuclear and conventional bombers near Iranian airspace as a show of force.

On the other hand, using stealth aircraft in proximity to Iran's airspace on a regular basis might decline due to fears of giving Iran too much information on the S-300s ability to track these aircraft. The Gulf States are also more likely to renew their interest in Lockheed Martin's stealthy F-35 fighter to help counterbalance the S-300. This could intensify the arms race already going on in the Middle East.
