The Most Important Midterm Election "Ever" - Todd Strandberg - https://www.raptureready.com/category/nearing-midnight/
There is rarely an election season where you don't find people saying this is the most important election in our nation's history. The elections that led up to the American Civil War are noted as history's most crucial vote. What makes the 2018 election vitally important is what is at stake: democracy.
The people on the left have long suffered from some from illogical thought. What the Republicans face in this race is pure insanity. This mob will do anything to separate us from our liberty. There is no behavior that is too shameful, childish, immoral, or unethical. They are willing to destroy our nation, as long as it means they are left to rule over the carnage.
It is understandable that all the network comedy shows were against Brett Kavanaugh. What is shocking is just how vile they were in their attacks. A writer for CBS's "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" celebrated the damage done to Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh's reputation. "Whatever happens, I'm just glad we ruined Brett Kavanaugh's life," the writer, Ariel Dumas, posted on Twitter. The woman should be fired for her comment, but she won't because cruelty and ruthlessness are the key skills required to work in the liberal entertainment industry.
The Democrats' fixation on impeachment should concern people of all political persuasions. They have already promised that, if they take control of Congress, they will introduce measures to impeach President Trump. New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker said last Sunday that the possibility of impeaching Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh shouldn't be off the table.
The left is constantly talking about how the government needs to be restructured: The Electoral College is outdated because Hillary Clinton would have won under a straight-line vote. They don't like that many red states with a small population have two senators. They also think we need to add more justices on the Supreme Court, which is an old trick that President Roosevelt tried to pull off.
The founding fathers of America came up with one of the greatest systems of government when they wrote the Constitution. This document has protected our nation many times from attacks. The founders knew that unless the people remained moral and God-fearing, their effort would be in vain:
"We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions, unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge or gallantry would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution is designed only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for any other." - John Adams October 11. 1798
"Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. . . . And let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion." - George Washington in his "Farewell Address"
The reason why a biblical perspective is so important to a civil society is because, without God, man has no moral compass. After the loss of the 2016 presidential race, the last two Supreme Court nominations, and hopefully next month's midterm election, it should dawn on the Democrats that they are moving in the wrong direction.
No, they think more of the same action is needed. After failing to stop Kavanaugh's confirmation, Democrats are now wondering if it's time to be more ruthless. Former attorney general under Obama, Eric Holder, said when conservatives "go low" the left should "kick them," and Hillary Clinton said the "time for civility is over... ."
In the past two years, a congressman was shot, a senator had his ribs broken in an attack, and the last six times a government official was chased out of a restaurant, the victims were all Republicans. If the Democrats are going to stop being nice, the GOP will need to stock up on bulletproof vests.
I do not think there is any way to quell the rage we witnessed last week. The Democrats could get slaughtered at the polls, and they would just scream louder. The left needs to become profoundly more insane if it is to reach the point where the Bible predicts it will be part of the nations that think they are capable of raging war against God himself.
"For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty" (Revelation 16:14).
"And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army" (Revelation 19:19).
Negative propaganda machine in full swing - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com
Reading stories from CNN, ABC, CBS, MSNBC, NBC, The New York Times, The Washington Post and so on, one could easily ascertain that President Trump and his Administration were the most corrupt, no good scoundrels on the face of the earth. The attacks are relentless. To the normal, run of the day, low information voter, this is good enough to throw the bums out of office. That's why informed voters need to get out and vote. Those who are fighting so hard to take over are in support of most every issue that is counter to the Holy scriptures, the precepts of God and the teachings of Jesus Christ. Just witnessing how the Democrats are now blaming the Republicans for the Kavanaugh vitriol is an example.
This example has plenty of legs, too. The news media just laps up whatever these leftists say and report it as fact without verification. A recent CNN story quoting Hillary Clinton is an excellent example. Clinton said, "You cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for, what you care about. That's why I believe, if we are fortunate enough to win back the House and or the Senate, that's when civility can start again." She went on to say that Republicans "demeaned the [Supreme Court] confirmation process" and "insulted and attacked" Christine Blasey Ford-who testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee about a sexual assault she alleges Kavanaugh committed in 1982-along with other "women who were speaking out."
Clinton says the Democrats should get more uncivil because the rest of America wants to destroy what she stands for. In other words, Americans who disagree with her brand of socialism and ungodly morals should be subject to incivility. This is the bottom line of why these leftists are so angry. When Clinton lost, the capstone of their communist revolution was interrupted by Trump. Clinton is also accusing Republicans of demeaning the Supreme Court Confirmation process by insulting and attacking the lady that accused Justice Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault. No evidence was provided to justify the charges, and Republicans bent over backwards to make sure the lady was heard, her charges investigated and that she was treated respectfully. Not so with how Democrats treated Kavanaugh-guilty even if proven innocent.
Clinton was the first to demean and call liars the many women who provided evidence of her husband's philandering. Yet she says that because Republicans actually investigated and questioned the claims of a female accuser of Justice Kavanaugh, that they "insulted and attacked" all "women who were speaking out." Nonsense. But those listening to CNN surely believe what she says or at least it sowed a seed of doubt in their minds about what is true. As Proverbs 12:22 says, "Lying lips are abomination to the Lord." They should be an abomination to all those who can discern truth, even as the media's propaganda machine is in full swing and people like Clinton are able to say anything without question.
The Two-State Paradigm Is Over - By Israel Kasnett -
U.S. President Donald Trump raised eyebrows recently during a joint press conference in New York with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu when he backtracked on previous positions he held regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, saying, "I like a two-state solution. That's what I think works best ... That's my feeling."
Those comments by Trump stood in stark contrast with remarks by the president earlier in his administration, when he said in a meeting in the White House with Netanyahu in February 2017 that he supports whatever solution the two parties decide. "I am looking at two-state, and one-state, and I like the one that both parties like. I'm very happy with the one that both parties like."
Nevertheless, Trump quickly backtracked on his remarks last month in New York.
Clarifying his recent comment, Trump explained, "One of the reporters who was screaming asked me about the one state, two-state, and I said I think the two states will happen."
Trump emphasized that he places the ultimate decision in the hands of the parties. "The bottom line is that if the Israelis and Palestinians want two states, I'm OK with that; if they want one state I'm OK with that. I'm the broker."
The comments came amid speculation regarding the release of his administration's highly anticipated Middle East peace plan, which the president has called the "deal of the century." Trump's son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner, along with special envoy for Mideast negotiation Jason Greenblatt, have traveled to the region numerous times as part of developing their plan.
But experts who have followed the process closely question the feasibility of a comprehensive plan from the Trump administration, including whether or not a two-state solution could come to fruition in the current climate.
A century-long rejection of the two-state solution
Efraim Inbar, president of the Jerusalem Institute for Strategic Studies, told JNS, "It's not up to the president."
He views the idea of a Palestinian state as one that is improbable, at least for the time being. "The Palestinians are incapable of building a state," he said. "The main criteria of a state is the monopoly of control over use of force, and they have lost this monopoly. They cannot sustain state structures."
Turning to the region, Inbar pointed out that a number of Arab countries are failing, and suggested that perhaps the Palestinians would not fair better. "Look at Libya, Syria and Iraq," said Inbar. "They have great difficulty in just maintaining a state!"
Efraim Karsh, director of the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies, is more skeptical than Trump and agrees with Inbar.
He told JNS that "neither option seems to be on the cards since the one-state solution is unthinkable for Israel, whereas the two-state solution has been categorically rejected by the Palestinians. The 'one-state solution,' which has been the Arab position since the 1930s, envisages the transformation of Palestine into an Arab/Muslim state in which Jews will be reduced to a position of permanent 'tolerated minority' [or dhimmis, second-class citizens, as this status has been known throughout Islamic history]. Obviously, this option, which means the destruction of the State of Israel, is unacceptable for Israeli Jews."
Karsh decried the common misperception that Israel's rightful presence in Judea and Samaria perpetuates the Arab-Israeli conflict. "The left-wing fearmongering that Israel is rapidly sliding to this situation due to its continued 'occupation' of the territories is a red herring for the simple reason that since the beginning of 1996--and certainly following the completion of the redeployment from Hebron in January 1997--there has been no occupation.
Rather, 99 percent of the Palestinian population of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip have lived the rule of the Palestinian Authority [and Hamas in Gaza since 2007]. Under no circumstances will Israel agree to reassume control of this population, let alone make it fully-fledged Israeli citizens."
Karsh emphasized that it is continued Palestinian rejectionism that lies at the root of the problem. "On the other hand, while a de facto two-, or rather, three-state solution has effectively existed for quite some time--Hamas's Gaza state since 2007, the Palestinian Authority-controlled Areas A & B in the West Bank, and Israel--the Palestinians are certain to continue using the red herring of 'occupation' so long as Israel exists.
For while most Western observers apply the term 'occupation' to Israel's control of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, captured during the June 1967 war, for Palestinians and Arabs, the Israeli presence in these territories represents only the latest chapter in an uninterrupted story of 'occupations' dating back to the very creation of Israel on 'stolen' land. Hence, their century-long rejection of the two-state solution."
"It doesn't matter what the international community wants," stressed Inbar. "The Palestinians are incapable of having a state. Soon, there will be a violent struggle over who will be the next leader of the Palestinian Authority. It's a moot question. The two-state paradigm is over. I don't know what the alternative is, but we will not see a Palestinian state."
He added that there is "growing skepticism" around the world of the Palestinians' ability even to create and sustain an independent state.
For Inbar, Israel would be better off not intensely pursuing a one-state or two-state solution that would just introduce more complications, especially if the Palestinians do not intend to live in peace alongside Israel.
"Sometimes," he said, "ambiguity serves us better than a clear solution."
The Left's hidden tribes and soft tyranny - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com
More in Common, a globalist leftist organization aiming to "deploy positive narratives that tell a new story of 'us,' celebrating what we all have in common" has released a report titled "Hidden Tribes: A study of America's Polarized Landscape." More in Common seems to be an institutional validator of one of the left's new buzz words, "Tribalism." The report identifies seven "Tribes" in America whose core beliefs create political division leading to tensions that are "poisoning personal relationships, consuming our politics and putting our democracy in peril." Ultimately, the report implies that this leads to people feeling they cannot express their opinions without being demeaned or labeled-essentially a form of soft tyranny.
The report divides Americans into seven tribes: Progressives, Traditional Liberals, Passive Liberals, Politically Disengaged, Moderates, Traditional Conservatives, and Devoted Conservatives. It identifies only Progressives (8%) as the left wing. Traditional Conservatives (19%) and Devoted Conservatives (6%) make up the right wing. The others are what the report calls the "Exhausted Majority (67%)." It points out that "America's differences have become dangerously tribal, fueled by a culture of outrage and taking offense. For the combatants, the other side can no longer be tolerated, and no price is too high to defeat them." The report's bias implies the larger group of Traditional and Devoted Conservatives (25%) as acting against the Progressives (8%), when in reality the Progressives are the ones inciting violence, resistance and revolution.
Alexis de Tocqueville defined soft tyranny in his 1840 book Democracy in America, Volume II as "It [the government] covers the surface of society with a network of small, complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence: it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd." Tocqueville's defines soft tyranny by government, but Tribalism is an extension.
Progressives, liberals, and moderates in government, aided by the media and communist influencers, have created an environment of soft tyranny in America-where folks won't speak up due to concerns of being labeled, harassed, losing their job, or worse. Galatians 5:1 says, "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage." Bondage is bondage, whether it is sin or tyranny. We live in a society where a very vocal minority is bullying those who disagree with them. Isaiah 5:20 says, "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness..." This "Hidden Tribalism" is just another attempt to justify evil deeds based on the threat of what others believe. The result is this silence of soft tyranny. Stand against it.
Cheating the vote - Bill Wilson -
Power and politics are very seductive evils for many people in society. We can see what evil people are willing to do for them as exemplified by the Brett Kavanaugh Supreme Court confirmation process. People were willing to harass those who disagreed with them at their homes and in restaurants, even on the streets. Moreover, it cannot be forgotten that they tried to ruin a man's reputation by painting a picture of a serial sexual assaulter. How far will they go to grasp power? The Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF), a nonprofit law firm dedicated toelection integrity and fights against lawlessness in American elections, has produced evidence that the Texas Democratic Party is working to rig the state's election.
The PILF Thursday alerted local, state and federal law enforcement that the Democratic Party in Texas sent campaign mailers to non-citizens urging them to register to vote with the voting forms already marked that the recipients were citizens and legally eligible to vote. PILF stated: "Texas Democrat Party mailers circulated around the Rio Grande Valley region of south Texas landed in the hands of lawfully present noncitizens in late September and early October. The envelopes contained voter registration applications where the answers to questions "Are you a United States Citizen?" and "Will you be 18 years of age on or before election day?" were pre-printed "Yes" for each."
PILF presented an affidavit signed by David C. Kifuri, Jr., a former Public Information Officer for the 229thJudicial District Attorney. Kifuri, under penalty of perjury, stated that the voter registration mailer indicated that it was paid for by the Texas Democratic Party and the return address was listed as State Democratic Executive Committee. The mailer urged the non-citizen immigrants to update their voter registration immediately and before October 9. The applications contained in the mailer were pre-filled "Yes" on the questions of: "Are you a United States Citizen?" and "Will you be 18 years of age on or before election day?" Problem is that it is likely not a crime unless the non-citizen actually registers to vote. Then the non citizen has committed the crime and the Democratic Party is off the hook. Very cunning, no?
If the Texas Democratic Party is so bold to mail out pre-filled voter registrations to non-citizens, it stands to reason that the other state Democratic Parties are doing much the same. This is just one way socialists and communists rise to power in other countries-by cheating the vote. In places like Chicago, they have been doing it for years. Whenever someone wants to purge and update the voter rolls, the Democratic Party screams that it is an attempt to repress the minority vote. If they are willing to smear a Supreme Court nominee before his wife and children, they will also cheat the vote to gain power. That's why it's important to be a Romans 12:21 people, "Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good." It's good to preserve your freedom of religious expression with your vote. And by voting, you thwart those evil ones who cheat the vote.
